LD44 — Your life is currency

Pay With Your Blood by bradur 2019-05-03T15:34:26Z

I really like the shooting mechanics as well as the different weapons as having multiple weapons really adds depth to the game! I think maybe the shotgun should maybe have done less damage over range, but that's not an issue whatsoever! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Fortress Knights by elrobo 2019-05-02T15:01:48Z

Really love the aesthetics, really cool! Overall really satisfying gameplay!

Fireflies by Kerdelos 2019-05-03T16:21:25Z

I really like the audio as well as the atmosphere! Combined, it creates a really good puzzle experience! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Blood Rite by Twan Mul 2019-05-02T20:32:08Z

Really fun and chaotic! I also really like the visuals as well as the fact time only moves when you move! Overall, a really good game!

Robotheus by WirkilichKeinBaum 2019-05-03T14:45:23Z

Really cool visual effects! Overall, a really good jam entry!

Mutual Exchange by ViNMH 2019-05-03T16:48:23Z

Really cool concept and mechanics! Transferring health felt really polished as well! If you continued working on this it could become a full commercial puzzle game! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Seed. by AVAVT 2019-05-02T20:59:58Z

Amazing game with amazing visuals! Overall, this is a great game with a great message behind it!

Fokusiro by oakus 2019-05-03T16:38:05Z

I really liked how the animations transitioned between each other really well, I also really liked the small details like how the image on the guy working at the computer's shirt changed and how some of the items flying in had things written on them like "unity input system!" Overall, this is a great jam entry!

Space Gunner by GerardB 2019-05-03T15:12:49Z

I really like the 2D in a 3D game visuals! I really like the satisfying shooting! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

The Trafficker by Enver Arco 2019-05-03T15:08:27Z

I really like the concept and it fits in with the theme really well! I also really like the sound effects when you collect different people! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Escape from the Mint by clue 2019-05-12T19:03:26Z

Very good idea and overall a very good game! I really liked the music and also the puzzles felt well made. I think maybe the coins shouldn't roll around as much when they are not being used as it could get frustrating sometimes when you would try jump on a coin and it would just roll out of place. Apart from that, overall this is a very good jam entry!

Temple of Life by ProdigalSon 2019-05-03T14:55:18Z

I really like the camera transitions between stages of a level and overall I think the concept of "having less life makes it easier to get through levels" is a really cool concept! This a really good jam entry!

Life and Death by thetatautau 2019-05-02T20:50:24Z

I really liked the art style as well as the gameplay! Overall, a really good jam entry!

Stay alive! by Richard Jedlicka 2019-05-02T20:27:38Z

Stressful but fun! Overall, a really good jam entry!

Mouseketeer by SpaceMonkey 2019-05-02T15:11:24Z

Really good game, the dialogue parts were really funny as well as the game idea in itself. The procedural generation is also really well done. Overall, I think this is a really good jam entry!

Evil Dungeon by Balance686 2019-05-03T15:02:42Z

I really like the spooky atmosphere within the dungeons! I also really like the puzzles! I think a feature that you could add is so you don't have to pay to go over a demon gate once you have already gone over it once, this isn't an issue whatsoever though!

Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Hell's Pinball by Valden 2019-05-03T15:48:11Z

I really like the sound effects, graphics and the gameplay! It is really satisfying get a massive combo of points! Overall, its a really good jam entry!

Gold Digger 2084 by Tony Redmer 2019-05-03T14:25:42Z

This game is great! I felt like I was playing a classic Gauntlet-style game! The visuals, audio and controls felt really arcade like and helped add to that sort of vibe! It would be good in this sort of game to have some sort of variety in characters to make the experience a bit different each time you play, but I totally get the fact that there is only 72 hours!

Overall, this is a really good entry that I am likely to come back and play again!

Project Slorgan: The Escape by CodeKoto 2019-05-03T17:19:24Z

Really cool game! I like the added stress of having to breath and do CPR on yourself šŸ˜‚! The graphics, audio and effects worked really well together. I also really like the added details like the health bar changes color the lower down it gets as it is details like these that add depth to the game! The procedural generation also works really well! Overall, this is an amazing jam entry!

Powerless by m110 2019-05-03T17:37:58Z

Really good game! Hacking doors is really satisfying due to the sound effects and the changing of the arrow-sprites when they had been hacked! Something which you could look into adding is procedural level generation as for a game like this it would work really well, however the levels you have made are really good! Overall, this is a really satisfying top down shooter which I am likely to come back and play again!

Coin Puzzles by Mika la Grand 2019-05-02T16:06:06Z

Really good game, I really enjoyed the puzzles. The graphics were also very good! Overall, this is a great jam entry!

Till Breath Do Us Part by DataGreed 2019-05-03T19:12:34Z

I really like the AI of the enemies, the shop where you buy items from also has variety! The pixel art characters also look well made! The system with oxygen is also a cool take on the theme! The damage enemies do could maybe do with some balancing, however it is a jam so I totally get not being able to focus time on balancing! Another thing you could maybe add is making the cover and obstacles around the levels pixel-art-objects to do with the planet/environment where you are!

Overall, this is a well made and fun jam entry!

A Miner's Life by oddarock 2019-05-03T14:32:52Z

Really cool climbing mechanics! I really liked the animations for the main player as well! Overall, a really good jam entry!

Suicide Slime Arena by Abitscared 2019-05-03T19:03:31Z

I really liked the system of buying weapons with your lives as it really fit the theme, I also thought the pixel art graphics were well made! Overall, this is a really good game jam entry!

Bubble Blitz by Charu 2019-05-03T16:14:20Z

This is a really relaxing game, after rating about a hundred stressful ones, this is a nice breather! Overall, the graphics and audio work well to make a calming experience that's really fun! Good Job!

Sold Soul by Black Flag 2019-05-02T15:51:15Z

@HugzFnr I have just tested that glitch and it didn't occur in endless dungeons it only happened in Training so I guess not to drop the staff in training, however it should work if you move a tiny bit away and then back on. However, it all seems to be running fine in the main game. Thanks for the feedback!

Sold Soul by Black Flag 2019-05-02T19:52:27Z

@Mika-la-Grand About the source code, that was me before the jam trying to write a blog-post šŸ˜‚, thanks for the feedback though and screen resolution is definitely something I will take into account during my next jam! Also about the fire staff, you can find them in endless dungeons they are just rarer than the Lighting ones!

Sold Soul by Black Flag 2019-05-03T20:11:44Z

@caveman54 I did notice this bug towards the end of the jam however it was so rare I focussed on more common bugs. Sorry, it just sounds like you have been unlucky! Thank you for the feedback!

Sold Soul by Black Flag 2019-05-09T15:56:41Z

@gonutz I love that style of review, really made me laugh. Thanks for the feedback, I will try in my next Ludum Dare to focus on polish a bit more as that is the general feedback! Thanks!

TREASURE ROOM by jutjuan 2019-05-03T16:06:32Z

BloodThirst by Gassi Games 2019-05-03T15:54:03Z

I really liked graphics and audio! The dash ability was also really good! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Demon Apprentice by c0d3d 2019-05-03T16:59:26Z

Good upgrade system! It could have done with a background maybe, and also some animation(it felt a bit static)! Apart from that, its a good jam entry!

LD45 — Start with nothing

Unwritten by HitchH1k3r 2019-10-25T21:00:38Z

This game is so much fun and I really do think that this could be developed further into a commercial title! The puzzle elements are great as well as just the general innovation behind it! I am not a massive fan of the board game style movement however that might just be a personal thing, also some audio would benefit it! I think the idea and the core gameplay is there, as well as the really well designed puzzles. Overall, this is an amazing jam entry! PS also I love the fantasy theme!

Alphabet by rplnt 2019-10-25T21:30:57Z

This was a really cool interpretation of the theme! The jigsaw piece like connection system was also very well made! It was also very fun to connect the pieces in different ways to make it seems as though the different letters on the keyboard were somewhat buttons to activate cannons! There was also a tactical side of trying to get the same letter on the outsides to make it so one fire button would do the job for defending against any direction of attack, the camera zooming system was also very good! With some audio, the game could have felt a bit more atmospheric! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

New start at N.O.T.H.I.N.G. Ltd. by Shigor 2019-10-09T15:50:38Z

I really liked the combat system of this game, as well as the narrative! Some audio would have been nice, but there are a lot of time constraints in a jam! You also managed to put a lot of content into a game made in such a short amount of time, which isn't easy! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Dive Dog by eva 2019-10-25T21:37:19Z

This was a cool take on the theme, starting with no knowledge! I also really liked the simplistic yet fun and addictive gameplay, some audio would have been nice, just for a bit of background noise! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Baby steps by freso 2019-10-08T19:04:33Z

This is a really good jam entry... very funny too! I think that the maps are randomly generated, if so then nice touch! The music was also fitting for the forest environment, the death was very brutal yet comedic. Overall, this is a very good jam entry which I can see myself playing again at some point in the future!

Bulbz by Gurbx 2019-10-25T20:47:37Z

The visuals of this game are amazing! They are so pleasing to look at! The shooting mechanic also fealt really nice as it was accompanied by just the right aount of screen shake! The audio was also very good as it fit in nicely with the 8 bit theme! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Big Tomato by Jakob Willforss 2019-10-08T18:33:23Z

I really like this enrty, the farmin mechanics worked really nicely, and then you added the enemies coming into the farm which was a really good idea as you no longer just had to wait for plants to grow there was something there to occupy the player when they were waiting for the tomatoes to gow! The graphics were also really nice for a farming game like such, good job- had a really fun experience! You could maybe have add ed a few types of plants (even though I understand this is a jam and the game is about tomatoes XD)

Catzy by vlandemart 2019-10-20T18:49:08Z

This is a hilarious game, I absolutely loved building up my collection of cats, overall this is a great jam entry!

Vault 7 by Luk3 2019-10-09T15:28:13Z

This was an interesting take on the theme, and I liked it. The sound effects were very eary which added to the creepy atmosphere, not sure how I got the vault to open, I just messed with levers  Overall, this is very good jam entry!

Hubcap Pup by Terribly Awesome Games 2019-10-08T18:43:44Z

The art of this game is absolutely amazing, its so well mad and you can tell that it has the level detail of real paintings! Visually this game is magnificent! The camera has a weird glitch where it doesn't come back down to follow the player unfortunately, however the audio was also really fitting for the atmosphere of the game! It could have been longer but the again everything had to be hand drawn within a very small amount of time, but of what was there I really enjoyed it! made*

The legend of Bit by CG_Fred 2019-10-08T20:07:10Z

The art style of this game is really good, the enemy following AI was also really good, I would love to see this game developed into a full commercial game! Overall, this is a very fun jam entry!

Zen Man by Team Catwheel 2019-10-09T16:19:09Z

This game is so relaxing, the colour scheme works really well, and seeing the ink drawings come to life is really cool! This is such an original interpretation of the theme! This audio worked well with the overall style! Overall, this was a very good jam entry! The audio*

Merge 'em Wars by Call_me_Nutty 2019-10-09T16:46:34Z

This is a really fun game, you have also fit quite a lot of content into a game made in such a short amount of time! I thought that the merging system also worked really well, and the audio was really good, I was a little confused about the trading system but other than that overall this is a really good jam entry!

Recycler Shooter by thesnide 2019-10-09T15:02:59Z

Some tutorial could have been nice to help understand what was going on, I really like the arced style graphics and overall atmosphere felt retro! This is a really good jam entry!

Dayunisi Builds the World! by niterich 2019-10-25T21:59:17Z

This game was a lot of fun! I spent most of my time building my house  , the building and destroying reminded me a lot of Terraria! I thought the underwater physics also worked nicely! The audio was also very fitting to the games overall fun and enjoyable atmosphere! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Time Shelter by Max S. 2019-10-09T16:04:53Z

This was a really fun experience! The music was really good for building tension and the numerous countdown clocks scattered around really helped to put stress on the player! The door sound effects also worked well and sounded really good! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Robokek by Alex_LemminG 2019-10-25T21:43:31Z

I really liked the movement system as it was really rewarding when you were able to master it, it also reminded me of Asteroids! The concept of adding gadgets was also very good! However I believe a space background would have fitted more to the atmosphere and them, the audio was also really good by the way! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

KOLENdor by MaxKlimenok 2019-10-25T21:22:38Z

This game is epic! This felt like a paid for game, and it looked like that from the second that the menu showed up, and the amazing audio and graphics showed up! The gameplay itself was also super addictive, the story line was also really good, due to it's thought provoking nature! The tiled based exploration system was fascinating, and it felt amazing when expanding over mass pieces of land! Overall, this game was epic, and an amazing jam entry! PS I am pretty sure that the map was randomised in which case well done, as that is not easy to do in game jam!

Roll a Ball Genesis by jsloth 2019-10-09T15:44:55Z

This game is amazing and thoroughly entertaining, this definitely was with the theme! I really liked this game, apart from some audio that could be added, this game was perfect! Overall, this is an amazing jam entry!

Back To Nature by Dampfwaltze 2019-10-08T18:53:49Z

The open world map was very well made, and the combat system worked very nicely, unfortunately I was sort of just thrown into the game without any instructions of how the crafting, clothing, mining (etc) systems worked, a tutorial would have helped a lot, but then again this is a jam and its hard to make a lot during a jam. Overall, this was a very fun and enjoyable jam entry!

House of Volans by benk 2019-10-25T21:09:40Z

I really like the graphics and the character design! The audio also worked really well, the dialogue/interaction system also worked well! I was a little confused about the fight bit though! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

I really liked the art style of your game and the stealth mechanics also worked really nicely! The music is very fitting for the atmosphere as well! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

The Last Word by stasm 2019-10-09T17:03:19Z

This is a really cool idea which leads to some pretty interesting levels! The audio worked well and added to the atmosphere, I also really liked the 2.5D art style! One small suggestion is to have the different spells line up with the keys on the keyboard just so it isn't as confusing or hard to memorise! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

28Ti by Heartclaw 2019-10-09T15:35:37Z

This is such a cool interpretation of the theme, the graphics slowly progressing was such a coll thing to watch come to life! The audio was also really nice, the controls were also easy to pickup! Overall, this is a great jam entry!

UPgrade by honzapat 2019-10-09T16:25:46Z

This was a really good take on the theme! I replayed a few times to see if I could get different endings to the one I previously did! The graphics were also really nice to look at! It would have been nice to have some background music, but then again it is a jam and there is a lot of time constraints! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Alien Apocalypse by cmcoto 2019-10-09T15:08:40Z

I really liked the weapon system and it felt well made, the audio sounded very retro which I liked! I think you should be able to shoot while jumping so you can be a bit more tactical, but overall I really liked this game, and its a really good jam entry!

My score was 90, I unfortunately couldn't get to 100  The particle effects were also really cool, some audio would have been nice but then again it is a jam and there are a lot of time constraints, anyway I had fun experience playing your game! Overall, this was very good jam entry! PS the neon graphics were epic!

Cute Farmers by Fax 2019-10-09T16:39:42Z

This is a really good jam entry, I really enjoyed building up my farm empire and creating mini towns! The ordering-people around system also worked very well as well as the trade system. However when you get a chicken coup people want that toothpaste looking thing when you have to save up money to get that, but I couldn't get any money as everyone wanted that and I couldn't afford it. Overall, with a bit of work this could turn into a really good commercial mobile app, and it's a really good jam entry!

It never started with nothing by Lukvasando 2019-10-09T14:57:52Z

I really like the particle effect that came off of the void, and the concept was really cool! Some sections could have been more puzzle like, but the atmosphere of the game was great: the music definitely fits! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Minno by --0 2019-10-09T16:53:52Z

This is such a good puzzle game, this could totally be developed for mobile. The audio was also really good and fit the simplistic art style, the controls and how the game worked was easy to pickup, but also led to some challenging puzzles! Overall, this is an amazing jam entry!

Nothin' To Muffin by SP3sheep 2019-10-09T17:21:06Z

I really liked the art style of this game as well as the idea itself! The audio also worked nicely, as well as the inventory system! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Nothing About Stage by nikita-lozhkin 2019-10-25T22:08:24Z

I really liked the small details in this game like the fact that each life has a different looking player character! The music worked very well along with the rest of the game! It wasn't very skill based and it was more or less trial and error, I suppose there was a bit of memory-gam involved as well. I think that the game might have benefited from some way of telling where traps are goiung to be as maybe they should flash up for a split second at the start of a stage so the player has a tiny amount of knowledge to go on, instead of just walking and hoping for the best! Overall, I thought the game was very well made, and the concept was pretty cool, however I couldn't really tell how it linked with theme (was it starting with no knowledge maybe?), anyways this was a really good jam entry!

Cell by SirRed 2019-10-09T15:58:54Z

Absolutely amazing UI and the graphics look so nice, I had a lot of fun playing this! Its fun and it can get quite hectic as well as you get further on! Overall, this is a really good jam entry, and with audio it could turn into a really fun mobile app!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Its Adventure by recursor 2020-04-23T18:06:54Z

Great concept! The movement feels well refined, however maybe the it should jump just a bit higher! Overall, this is a really good Compo entry!

Efi by ludipe 2020-04-21T11:31:10Z

Really good concept! The movement mechanics were very fun too! Overall this is a really good compo entry!

Lost Goblins by pndaa 2020-04-21T12:46:33Z

This is a really good puzzle game! I really like the art style too! The sounds maybe could have done with a bit more mixing. Apart from that overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Keep the princess... Alive by Vivoubos 2020-04-23T13:14:49Z

Fun game, I liked the combat! The arrows seemed to lock onto you and not go in a straight line, however it wasn't much of an issue! Overall, this is a really good Compo entry!

Robot Repair Shop Incorporated by been 2020-04-21T12:59:21Z

Cool concept! The voiceover was also a nice touch! Overall, this is a good jam entry!

IT Thrives by Quarter Up Studios 2020-04-29T11:12:52Z

Really good concept! The gameplay was really fun too! It might just be preference but maybe some sort of speed up feature would be good so the resources come in quicker. Overall, I had a really fun time playing this one, and its also a very unique jam entry! Amazing game!

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-20T22:17:46Z

This is a really good submission! This could easily be developed into a full app! The puzzles also felt well made!

Package Panic: Always On Time by soldierbear 2020-04-21T18:35:42Z

Really good graphics and animation! Maybe there should be a fence around the edge, just so it isn't floating... apart from that. Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Angst by Silas Reinagel 2020-04-23T18:50:00Z

I really liked the atmosphere of this game as well as the narrative elements! Maybe the time in the blackout world should have been equal to the real world, so just more stuff in the real world too. Also, on the HTML version I couldn't see my mouse pointer. Overall, I enjoyed playing and I thought it was a great jam entry!

Battery Panic by HacksawUnit 2020-04-21T13:04:35Z

Cool puzzle game, and a good interpretation of the theme! The audio was also really good! Overall, this is a really good Compo entry!

Sun up by Trigueiro 2020-04-29T14:03:05Z

Really good concept and I really liked the voxel graphics! Overall, this is a really innovative game, never seen a mechanic where you are the sun and you sort of control the enemies positions (the shadows)!

Operation Asteroid by SvartTand 2020-04-23T11:28:48Z

Cool idea! I really liked the graphics too! The tower defence mechanics also felt very refined! The manual shooting trail renderers always faced one direction, which isn't an issue, but maybe could have been tweaked. Overall, this is a great Compo game! Just replayed, and the trail renders are in the right direction when you move your camera!

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-04-29T14:19:49Z

Hilarious game! Really liked the gameplay, very fun game! One time my duck sort of kept getting pulled to the right side of the screen, went away though and not a massive issue! Overall, this was a great jam entry!

Embers by Anuke 2020-04-21T11:22:28Z

Absolutely amazing graphics! The gameplay was really fun, and the fact that stuff was randomly generated is great! Overall, this is an amazing submission!

Oak Defenders by Hugimugi7 2020-04-30T11:40:29Z

I really liked the gameplay of this game! I like how because your main goal is protecting your sapling, instead of also having to protect yourself the player doesn't have a health bar, but in fact can get stunned! Really good design! The graphics were also very aesthetically pleasing!

The polish of your game is also very good, one minor suggestion would be to add some more screen shake. The different enemies were also very good, however sometimes it appeared as though the healthbar wasn't there but they still had one hit left, this was probably only a visual bug and it didn't take away from my experience overall!

Also, maybe earlier on some more verticality could be added in, as the jump didn't feel too important which was a shame as it felt very well polished and fun to use!

Overall, I had a very fun time playing this game, and its an amazing jam entry!

Egg's Dream by Apace 2020-04-23T13:07:46Z

I really like the effects, as well as the different potions that were scattered around! Some control when you are in the air would be nice for regular jumps, or if there was some control, just more control! Overall, this is really good jam entry!

The Ill Divinity by Solah 2020-04-21T12:02:16Z

Really cool art and a really good concept! This is quite a unique puzzle platformer! Some of the levels were quite challenging, which made it satisfying when you finished it! Overall, this is a great Compo entry!

THE SECRET FLAME by Thomas Lean 2020-05-11T12:58:56Z

Amazing game! The graphics were stunning and the fire effect fit perfectly within the environment! The artwork for each character for when you were speaking to them was also great! This could easily be developed into full release (and I would get it!) Maybe some sort of map feature would have been nice, but that would just be an extra to an already great game!

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T11:46:14Z

I really like the graphics and the audio! I was a little bit confused when first playing, but apart from that: Overall this is a really good jam entry!

Soul Blazer by Lukas TAMAYO 2020-04-21T18:41:46Z

The atmosphere of this game is very good, as well as the core mechanic being very unique! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Xeno Tender by _delph 2020-04-29T10:55:18Z

Really like the graphics, as well as the take on the genre! Overall, this fit the theme very well!

Checkmate by CharlieMrl 2020-04-21T11:40:23Z

This is such a good entry! The movement, combat and AI all felt very refined! The combat was also very intuitive and fun! Something that really stood out to me were the cut scenes as well as the atmospheric graphics! The different chess pieces surprisingly turned out to transfer well into a 3rd person shooter! Overall, this is an amazing game!

Hope by Darylsteak 2020-04-23T14:03:18Z

Really good concept, and I really liked the graphics! The game is also very atmospheric! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Penguin March by ilPrinny 2020-04-29T14:43:26Z

Great game! Super fun gameplay and very funny! The decision system was really good, just a suggestion maybe after you click an option some text appears telling you the outcome eg "This cannot go unpunished" some text like "the child penguin starts to cry frozen tears"! Overall, really fun experience and this is an amazing compo entry!

Keep Charlie Alive by Coolguy6316 2020-04-23T16:49:35Z

Really liked the level design as well as the camera movement! Overall, it was a very fun platformer!

A Fistful of Daisies by Norris Eldridge 2020-04-29T14:32:30Z

Really funny game! I really liked the intro sequence and the combat felt good! Maybe the enemies bullets could have been just a bit slower so dodging wasn't as challenging, might just be preference! Overall, this was a really good Compo entry!

FIRE-MUST-BURN by TheCze 2020-04-21T12:54:59Z

Really good interpretation of the theme, and well put together! The game could sometimes get laggy with all the particles, but apart from that: Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Pigeon Ascent by Delta Key 2020-04-23T13:41:15Z

Great gameplay! The turn based combat felt very refined and polished! I couldn't tell if my money was going down or not, might have just been a visual bug! The audio was also very good! The attack log was also a very helpful feature! Overall, this is an amazing jam entry!

Uptime? Nope. by ygrichman 2020-04-21T12:11:19Z

Really liked the concept and the gameplay was very fun! One tiny thing, is that I think the same button should have been used for using the computer and picking up/dropping items, which is something so small XD Overall, I had a fun time playing this game!

Long Live The King by JavaSaurus 2020-04-23T13:35:51Z

Really good gameplay! I really liked how you had to juggle between combat and catching the child! The combat was also very satisfying! It would have been good to have some verticality to the levels, like some platforms maybe! Overall, I had a really fun time playing this one, and its a really good Compo entry!

Bonsai by Literal Games 2020-04-23T13:23:05Z

Really chill game! The graphics are really nice, and its a great game to play after playing lots of stressful fast paced games! I had a really fun time playing this game, I also really liked the transitions when zooming in on trees!

Final Flower: Petals of a Lost Age by Scott Steffes 2020-04-29T12:59:21Z

Really liked the concept and the gameplay felt very smooth! The core mechanic felt very refined and well made too! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!

Zoo keeper by Team-on 2020-04-29T14:11:43Z

Nice variety in this game, and it was really fun! I liked the different mini games, sort of reminded me of Dumb Ways to Die if you have ever played that- just lots of little mini games! The graphics were also very good! Overall, this is a great jam entry!

Keep What Alive by Valeth2124 2020-05-07T12:34:43Z

Really good game! I liked how it goes from this cute family based game, to what is on its own a cool little stealth game (when you are burgling)! The pixel art graphics were also very nice, and good job for making it topical lol! The music was good but maybe a few more foley sound effects could have been good, for example the cars that go past you on the street could make a sound. Overall, I really enjoyed playing, and its an amazing jam entry!

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-21T11:56:56Z

I really like the music and the concept of this game! Unfortunately, I found it quite hard to grab stars, but if that was fixed this game could really go somewhere. Overall though, this is a really good Compo submission!

SkyRoots Ultra by Giome 2020-05-11T12:43:54Z

I really liked the graphics, they were very calming! The audio was also very nice! I think the game was made for AZERTY which was a bit weird on QWERTY (maybe include some sort of options menu to change that.) Overall, this is a great jam entry!

Circuit in Distress by LyghtningWither 2020-04-20T17:01:29Z

Cool idea! The concept of this game is really good, as well as the design and graphics. I fell like if the commands sort of helped people get through a level (for example: doing one noise could make people move left) then this game could easily be expanded upon. Overall, this is a really good compo entry!

Clive's Flight by Ben Newington 2020-04-23T17:00:14Z

Really liked the graphics and the peaceful atmosphere! I didn't really get anywhere apart from flying around, but the controls felt really smooth! The concept was also great, and for a first jam this was a really good game!

Cats In Flats by Black Flag 2020-05-12T22:48:32Z

@dkviplounge Thanks for the feedback! If it helps, there was a timer in the bottom left corner of a circle defilling. Thanks for playing!

Hanging by a Copper Wire by Pepijn 2020-04-29T10:48:33Z

Really like the gameplay, it was really fun having to balance exploration with coming back and plugging stuff in! The graphics and lighting were aesthetically pleasing too! I wasn't sure how to use the ladders (or if you could) but that wasn't too much of an issue as the level design allowed there to be multiple routes to the location I was trying to get to, which was really good! Overall, this is a great jam entry which I had fun playing!

platformEGG by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2020-04-29T11:01:15Z

I really like the scene transitions, and the level of polish on this game is insane! The gameplay is super fun, and the audio really fits the overall theme! Overall, this is an amazing jam entry!

Remember, Apollo by AdamCYounis 2020-04-21T10:51:30Z

The visuals on this game are immense. I maybe would have added some music, but then again just having the woodland noises was very effective for creating atmosphere! Overall, this is an amazing Compo game!

Rhythm Rifles by BlakeGameDev 2020-04-23T11:42:52Z

Really liked the concept, and the audio was epic! I had a great time playing this game!

Keep it burning by Leon Oost 2020-04-23T12:56:52Z

Good concept! I thought the yell mechanic was well made too! Overall, this is a really good compo entry!

apples by Space Nomad 2020-04-29T14:53:40Z

Nice concept and level design! Sometimes I felt that I was going out of my way for an apple when really I needed a rock and the apple just happened to be in the way, and caused me to panic a bit, not an issue just I'm not very good at the game lol! Overall, this is a really good jam game!

Both or Nothing by victor_reiner 2020-04-21T11:51:16Z

Really liked the concept as well as the visuals, it was also a good use of theme! Maybe if your hunger and the flames displayed variables, it could have also gone down a resource management style game path! The music and sound effects were also very nice! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Surviving the wasteland by Space Banana 2020-04-20T17:37:01Z

Great game! Really fit the theme. I also like how the starting gun was in time with the music! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Therapy by ZEZEL 2020-04-29T14:58:06Z

Nice graphics, the jump controls felt a bit floaty but maybe that was intentional! The game froze after I went into a spike repeatedly when respawning by accident too, luckily it was close to the start though! Overall, really good jam entry!

The Last Dragon by Lisichka 2020-04-23T13:02:08Z

I really liked the graphics of this game, as well as the concept! I once found myself getting stuck in a collider, but that wasn't too much of an issue! Overall, I had a fun time playing this game!

Team Wipe by Louis Mareau 2020-04-21T13:19:44Z

Really good audio on this game! I also really liked the concept! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

The Zombies Away From Me by Sebastian Caron 2020-04-21T11:00:16Z

This is a really fun and addictive browser game, which fit the theme well. Maybe some alternative sound effects would have been nice. Overall, I had fun playing this game and is a good jam entry!

Feast of blood by DanilShekarev 2020-04-23T11:51:03Z

I really liked the atmospheric mood of this game, and I also though that visuals were great! I especially liked the blood effect! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Temple of Enlightenment by prepparedheathen 2020-04-23T13:48:14Z

Good puzzle game! The concept was also pretty unique! Overall, this is a really good jam entry! I also liked how the rocks felt pretty heavy from a gameplay point of view!

The Hunger by Sulo 2020-04-23T11:36:01Z

Great concept! The gameplay and controls felt well refined too, I also really liked the graphics! Sometimes, from certain angles, it was hard to feed humans to the plants (didn't happen that much though.) Also, maybe the humans should have been scared when they see a gardener bashing someone around the head with a club... I know I'd be scared lol! Overall, had a really fun time playing this game, and its a great jam entry!

Pollice Verso by JHax 2020-04-21T13:13:40Z

I like the turned based combat, as well as the arena graphics! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Crank-Light by Quillwerth 2020-04-23T16:39:47Z

Very atmospheric game! The use of light also really adds to the games mood! Overall, this is a great jam entry, which I enjoyed playing!

Message by NoamRaz 2020-05-04T13:24:25Z

I really liked the use of lighting and the graphics! Sometimes I would keep moving a little bit after releasing a movement button, however that was a minor issue in a great game! Overall, I really enjoyed playing this platformer!

Earth Defense! by James140 2020-04-29T14:24:35Z

Nice graphics, which were quite visually appealing! The sound effects were also very nice and fit the rest of the game! I sometimes felt that it was a bit tricky to get my arrow to move around the wold in time, this speed might have been okay though if the camera had been more zoomed out so I could see when a ship was coming from further away. Overall, this was a fun Compo entry!

Feed The Fire by Nuanda79 2020-04-29T13:59:46Z

Really nice concept! This was a really fun game, straight forward gameplay but super enjoyable! Overall, this was a really good jam entry!

Don't Mind Me! by Paul Merkamp 2020-05-04T14:39:17Z

Really like the graphics! The combat was also very unique by being only able to shoot left or right! A health bar might have been helpful or some way of seeing the player's health. Also, some checkpoints would have been very helpful, as there is a lot of fun to be had, however repeating stuff if you die can be annoying sometimes. Overall, I enjoyed playing your entry, and it is a great Compo submission!

Keep It A-Live by Marco Le Van 2020-04-20T17:11:12Z

Great game! The graphics are really good, the concept is simple but addictive. I mean it ticks pretty much everything that you need to make a good compo game! I also really liked, the progressing neon live sign too!

Keep It Charged by LaZZyDev72 2020-05-08T12:11:54Z

Super fun gameplay! It was a very neat take on the snap-to-wall movement by restricting the amount of moves you can actually do! Maybe some more sort of puzzle elements would have been nice for example adding some moving boxes that would help the robot reach the end goal! The audio and graphics were also very nice, and the constantly changing picture and writing on the walls was also very good! The game has a lot of polish too for Compo! Overall, this is an amazing Compo entry!

Blue by tri11paragon 2020-04-23T13:55:54Z

I really liked the graphics as well as the concept! Maybe having some form of enemy would be good too, but then again its a jam and time runs out quickly lol! Overall, I had a fun time playing this game!

Memories by Artaupossum 2020-04-20T17:14:55Z

Really like the graphics! The way in which you interpreted the theme is really unique too! The narrative was also very good, and the controls were very intuitive! This is a really good first jam game!

Scoop by JonathanJoseph 2020-04-21T11:08:23Z

Nice concept! The growing mechanics and the combat fell quite refined and satisfying! Maybe some animation on the enemies/player may have been nice too, however it is compo so I totally understand you don't have much time. Overall, I really liked this entry!

Keep Pit Alive! by BunnyDen 2020-04-29T11:07:01Z

I really like the animations on the horse and the audio is good too! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Save the torch! by eduardogacn 2020-04-30T18:46:52Z

Great graphics! I really like how the music changes during the boss battle too! The movement also felt well refined, as well as the jumping too! Overall, this is a great jam entry!

Hacker Escort by Barnox 2020-04-23T11:23:01Z

I really like your use of lighting in this game! Also the controls felt well refined. Some audio would have been nice, but I understand that this is your first Unity project! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Amnesiac Bartender by crazyboiboi 2020-04-23T16:55:05Z

Cool idea! I really liked the look of the pixel art people too! A tutorial might have been nice to add, but its a jam so I totally get that time runs out fast lol! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Loop by Geckoo1337 2022-04-04T17:16:53Z

The game is very addictive and the main movement system is really well thought out, you have to keep your reflexes on point! The increasing difficulty also felt fair and the music in the background was really really cool, gave me some space-age style vibes. A sound effect might have been nice for turning, but maybe that's just me. As a hyper-casual game this would do incredibly well on mobile, definitely one I'd download... it is like I say very addicting! Overall, this is a really fun game!

Loop by Geckoo1337 2022-04-04T21:12:37Z

@Gekoo1337 Oh right, I’ll give it another play and listen out for it!

Down to the Wire by Mieeh 2022-04-04T16:34:52Z

I really enjoyed playing, the minimalist graphics and the puzzles were very clean, and the entire game was extremely well polished! The puzzle mechanics were also polished very well, and I liked the unique features like the switches and the locks! The sound design also worked very well with creating tension with the timer, and the sound effects on the whole worked very well with the game!

The theme maybe could have been imposed in the puzzles in some way? Maybe that's just me, because the theme was very much present in the sense of the timer being there.

Also very impressive including a leader board in a Ludum Dare jam game! Overall, I had a lot of fun playing this one especially due to the high polish!

Numerus Maximus by SimplePotential 2022-04-04T16:14:18Z

I really like the minimalist graphics and the idea is really solid, and the luck based gameplay does mean that losing is inevitable, so it definitely fits the theme there! I think the game may have benefitted from a tutorial, but given the amount of time you had its understandable why you couldn't add one! In a future version there could be more ways of determining what's around a square too possibly, to increase the strategy aspect? Apart from that, its a really enjoyable mine-sweeper-like puzzle especially because of the nice touches like animations.

Plants make people happy by yetanother 2022-04-08T11:23:20Z

I really enjoyed playing, the visuals were really relaxing and the gameplay was also really relaxing! The concept was very funny, and the writing was great! I really liked the ending too... in reality, it's inevitable you'll get fake plants from IKEA...

The game felt very polished and the puzzle mechanics worked well too, some info on the plants would be nice like desert type plants work well with plant X, Y and Z for example, but the gameplay as it is, is very enjoyable! I really had a lot of fun playing this one, this is an amazing entry!

Light Souls by rasblo 2022-04-17T21:57:26Z

I really liked the concept, I've not seen a reactions based game mixed with a match-em up style game before, so that created some very interesting gameplay! I really liked the effects as well, especially for matching people up as well! The game felt a bit punishing by how much time was removed when touching the grim reaper, but that might just be personal preference! Overall, I really liked the game and the concept was super cool, great entry!

Grandma by smiley 2022-04-08T11:10:25Z

I really liked the graphics and I also liked your story take on the theme, especially how you intertwined it with the gameplay. I also liked the way you showed the text in the game, I've not really seen that way of communicating before, having the text float up like that, but I actually really liked that! The lighting effects and particle effects definitely added to the polish of the game, and I though the checkpoints were fair too! The overall game felt like a complete experience and its impressive you did all of that in a jam!

The enemies didn't seem to be too much of a threat, like I seemed to touch them and they didn't damage me, but the other platforming challenges were fun and the breakable platform also felt like a good way to break up the gameplay (pun maybe intended) and add some variety to the gameplay. The cutscenes at the start and end were also a nice way to set the story, some sound effects in them might have been nice, but that's a nit pick because what you managed to achieve in the jam time was very good!

Overall, I really enjoyed the experience, and this is a really great game!

Gnomon by Jonathan Fischer 2022-04-06T17:50:23Z

The graphics were amazing and I really like how you used a story interpretation of the theme! The audio was also very good, and the general atmosphere created was amazing! I would have liked some story parts spread through the gameplay to break it up, like maybe some story revealed at each obelisk, but I understand its a jam and what you managed to achieve in the time space is very impressive! Overall, this is a great game with outstanding visuals!

The Journey of the HMS Theseus by Tad 2022-04-08T12:56:14Z

I really like the gameplay and the graphics looked very nice! The AI for the different ship-mates worked very well and the management feel to the game was very enjoyable, as it made you multitask and plan ahead which was great! It also allowed for some strategical gameplay like at the start I'd get them all onto different floor in preparation! The animations were also very polished and the different ways the holes would be patched up was a nice touch and added another layer of polish!

The holes could have maybe had some particle effects to show water coming in, but I totally understand the time constraints and what you managed to achieve in the time was great, I also think the ship should have maybe taken bit longer to fill up, but that's because I was really enjoying playing and wanted it to last longer! Some of the characters would appear on top of each other, maybe they should've stood next to each other if they were in the same place, that is absolutely a nit pick because the game was really well made!

Overall, this game is very well polished and super fun to play, this is a really great game, which is why I wrote so much about it because I really liked it! Very well done, extremely fun!

Goblin Escape by PinballJunior 2022-04-06T18:15:29Z

The graphics are really nice and the city management tools work great! The variety of buildings also worked well with the gameplay! Some time increase options might have been nice, but I understand its a jam, but just an idea! Overall its a great game!

Turbo Toilet Tomfoolery! by RonanRory 2022-04-18T08:50:53Z

I really liked the the player's animations and the idea was very humorous! The sound effects added to the game, while there weren't many of them, the ones that were there were very good!

I actually think the awkward controls worked well to create more panic in the player and to make the game feel more hectic, I think maybe the bouncing off the walls feature should have been disabled around doors just to make them a little bit less frustrating when you go through them, the other times where the bounce feature is used though works well and adds to the overall comical feel of the game! The level design worked well, especially where you had to go for multiple runs to actually find the goal, this gave the game a sense of exploration which I enjoyed!

Overall, I enjoyed playing, great game!

Garden War by Firesplash Entertainment 2022-04-06T16:39:35Z

The amount of systems in this game is very impressive, especially in a game jam! Each one also felt quite polished and complete. The shop system worked very well and I like the fact there are two layers to any object, the time it takes to make and the cost of it, I feel like it could lead to some very strategical gameplay! The sound effects were nice too but I felt like there could have been some music in the background, and maybe some more coherence between the weapons and the actual surrounding eg cannons and walls but defending a grandson, I suppose that juxta position is what made me rate it very highly in humour! Overall, I really enjoyed playing and the game feels very feature complete! Great game!

MAGICAL JUGGLER EXTRAORDINAIRE by benskca 2022-04-06T18:54:33Z

I really enjoyed playing! While its a simple idea you were able to do a lot with it and you executed it very well. The variety of spells and the things that come on to screen were a good way to shake up the gameplay. I also like the quality of life features liked being able to see where the ball is even if its off the top of the screen. The sound effects were also a nice addition! Some particles might have been nice when hitting the ball, but that's totally a personal suggestion because the game on the whole was extremely well polished! Overall, I had a lot of fun playing!

Night Frights by TheInkSkeleton 2022-04-18T17:53:37Z

Really great mood, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have an extreme jump in my chair during every jumpscare! The audio was really well done and incorporating the instructions on how to get rid of the monsters into the environment really kept the player in the experience, which was really great instead of it being UI! The animations felt well done too and the graphics were great as well!

I personally think the monsters should have been 3D models, I thought at first that the drawings would be sketches of what they looked like which symbolically, that works very well like the person you play as has scared themselves by keeping monster pictures on the wall so is always scared they are coming, but for me it kind of broke away from the horror-feel to it... don't get me wrong this is a minor thing because I was still absolutely terrified playing this the entire time! Overall though this is probably the best mood-game I've played so far, I even like the text style as well!

The text could have maybe stayed on the screen a bit longer, like a click to continue thing because I felt as though I didn't always have enough time reading them. Maybe the action for looking under the bed and pulling up the covers could have been reversed as well, so down for looking under and up for pulling the covers over you? These are both very tiny nitpicks, because this is such a well made game overall with a very high amount of polish!

Overall, the audio was amazing and so were the graphics and the mood of the game was incredibly well made as well. This is an incredible jam entry that I had a lot of fun playing!

Night Frights by TheInkSkeleton 2022-04-18T17:56:36Z

Also I want to add that the general gameplay was also great! The reason I've wrote this much feedback is because I really like this game! Anyway! Thank you for submitting!

Nap Time by Pizzasgood 2022-04-18T16:54:42Z

I really had fun, great idea and well executed! I really appreciated the little touches like the lamp falling over and being able to swing on the chandelier! The controls felt good as well and the difficulty felt right too!

Here are some suggestion, but honestly, the game is super well executed as it is, so these would simply be additions! Some indicators as to when things would break would have been nice, and some variation in music might have been nice because the game lasted for a short while (maybe due to my sub-par skills at the game!) so maybe the music could have continued instead of starting again. But those are tiny nitpicks!

I also liked how the arms pointed at the player, very nice polish. Overall I had a lot of fun playing and this is a really great entry!

Nighty Night, Nosferatu by Shawn Moore 2022-04-09T09:54:01Z

Really great idea for a puzzle platformer! The level design was great, the sound effects and music were well made, especially with the organs, gave off a vampire-feel to it! The platformer controls felt very tight, only had an issue on the smaller platforms, but by issue I really mean me being bad at precision platforming lol. The variety in the gameplay as the levels progressed added a good level of challenge and the over polish was amazing with the death effects, the screen-shake and the end of level animations with the platforms disappearing: felt very retro and I really liked it!

I especially thought the spinning platforms were a great addition because of the way they force traversal of the level and stop the player from just "camping" a spot. From a puzzle perspective, the buttons attached to the turning platformers required a good deal of puzzle solving, and they were really fun to use!

The stages with the two light sources felt a bit punishing as it was sometimes hard to distinguish where you could stand for it to be safe, I'm sure if this was a full game, the more levels I played using it I would get use to it though! The text maybe should have been a more obvious pixel art font, that sounds like such a nit pick, because it is, but just for some extra retro points!

It was quite hard to think of any critical feedback because of the fact that this is such a well polished game with a great concept and executed amazingly. Overall, I really had a lot of fun playing and this is an amazing entry!

@pinballjunior Im glad you found it fun thanks for playing!

@very-bad-bunny-studio Thank you for playing! I was trying to do an accurate village name haha. Thank you for the feedback too, and yeah a retrieval system would have worked well!

Lumber Tracks by Black Flag 2022-04-04T18:54:36Z

@benskca Thank you for playing, some retrieval system would have worked well, I added in some red berries you can eat that spawn behind the train to speed you up to try and catch the train again, but yeah a retrieval would have helped! Thanks again for the feedback!

@waffleworksgames Thank you for playing! Thanks for the feedback, there’s some red berries that spawn behind the train to increase your speed, but some better way of getting your axe back would have helped a lot! Thanks a lot for the feedback!

@squaxcom I’m really glad you liked the art! Hahaha it might be a bit sudden! Thank you very much for the feedback!

Lumber Tracks by Black Flag 2022-04-05T09:03:02Z

@roblaro I’m glad you like the boasting feature! Thank you for the feedback! There’s some red berries you can collect to increase your speed, but I think a returning feature would have worked well! Thanks again for the feedback, it’s very much appreciated, I hope you had fun playing!

@mathglo I'm really glad you liked it! Yeah, I think that noise definitely should have had some adjustments its quite jarring, thank you very much for the feedback and thank you for playing!

@sagiii I'm glad you like the idea! Yeah, it could have done with a few adjustments, especially with the last sound effect as it hits hits the village. Thank you for the feedback and for playing! And thanks for submitting your game too, it was so polished and the whole game-feel was amazing!

@zimny11 Thank you for playing and leaving feedback! I'm really glad you liked the pixel art and music! Yeah, I think they could have probably fit the shape of the trees better in some places! Thank you for that feedback its very much appreciated and thank you very much for playing!

Lumber Tracks by Black Flag 2022-04-09T10:13:33Z

@blockerz I'm really glad you liked the sound and graphics! I agree completely, I think they either need to be more reliable by having a higher spawn rate or maybe they allow you to run through trees so it's easier to catch back up without getting stuck on them. Thank you for the feedback and thank you very much for playing!

@jimbly Thank you for the feedback! I'm sorry to hear the aim was off for you, and yes some better way of getting the axe back would have been better! I'm glad to hear you had fun and thank you again for the feedback and thanks for playing!

@shawn-moore Thank you so much for all of that feedback, that is greatly appreciated! I'm really pleased you liked the sound and graphics!

I really like your idea of having the tutorial screen appear when you click play, because reading a tutorial by choice does feel like a chore in a game jam lol. Using those signs would have helped as well, maybe for the first playthrough if you touched them or something the gameplay would freeze too to give the player time to understand each feature as it shows up? I also agree with stating the intentions more clearly too, like maybe at the start where that exclamation appears above the lumberjack it could just be a little speech bubble that says, "I need to delay the train so more villagers can escape"!

With the axe, I like the idea of it taking a few seconds, I'd thought that maybe it could come back to you if it goes off screen so that way there's still a bit of a consequence but not as drastic as it is now? For coherence a similar system for the trees with boxes would have worked well!

Thank you for all your feedback, its very kind of you to take the time to write such valuable feedback! Genuinely thank you!

PS: You're right about that sound effect šŸ˜‚

@proxy-games Thank you so much for that feedback, it’s very much appreciated! The catching back up state could definitely do with some improvements, I’m not sure if you saw but theres some red berries that spawn behind the train as it moves that if you touch will give you a speed boost to give you a chance to catch back up. I recognise there could still be a lot of work to be done on the system as you’ve rightly pointed out it can feel unfair when that happens. But thank you very much for the feedback, it’s extremely appreciated! Thank you for playing and I’ll check your game out later!

Lumber Tracks by Black Flag 2022-04-14T07:49:32Z

@binaryprinciple Thank you so much for playing and for writing feedback! I’m really glad you liked the style of gameplay too! @ronanrory Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback! I really do appreciate this really detailed feedback! For the second bug, I’ve not encountered that or the tree standing back up, so I’m really sorry you were the one to find this! That sounds like it would be very annoying!

The big trees are meant to be cut down after bouncing off the front of the train and then throwing your axe, this would answer your points about big trees just tipping over and why it would seem annoying standing next to a tree to chop it down over time. There actually is a collision matrix where the axe can interact with the top parts of the tree and the player can only hit the log part, but you’re right, after the trees hit it shouldn’t be collideable by the player.

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t have the best experience with the game, I hope you have had a great Easter too! I’ll play your game when I’m at my computer next!

Thanks again for taking the time to write detailed feedback, it’s very valuable feedback so thank you again!

Lumber Tracks by Black Flag 2022-04-18T08:01:46Z

@pizzasgood Thank you for those suggestions! I’ve encountered that before, I think I should have increased the axes hit box when it collided with a tree so it can be picked up more easily. I especially like the idea of having spare axes scattered around! Thank you for the feedback and thank you for playing!

Lumber Tracks by Black Flag 2022-04-18T08:02:39Z

@jzucc12 Thank you for playing! The momentum part comes from bouncing off the train to get momentum to knock down bigger tree, so if you can time your throw right you won’t have to do that process! Thank you so much for playing and leaving feedback!

@homineludens Thank you for the feedback! I agree there should have been an easier way to collect back the axe! Thank you for playing!

@3lstmsinatrenchcoat Thank you so much for the feedback! The berries could have probably done a lot more, maybe they could have knocked down trees while you are running that fast so you don’t get stuck on them as easily. Thank you for playing!

@itsboats Thank you so much for playing this on stream, just watched the VOD back now and it was great being able to watch you play and give live feedback, you gave me a lot of valuable feedback, thank you! I’m really glad you like the idea! Thanks for playing!

Last Stand by XeduR 2022-04-16T14:54:24Z

I really like the graphics and the overall retro feel felt good! I really liked how the enemies faded in too when they spawned and the overwhelming-panic feeling really added to the mood! Some explosive weapon might have been satisfying, but that's totally a personal opinion of mine! Overall, I had a lot of fun playing!

If you try hard enough, you can win. by Rxbbie 2022-04-04T17:04:01Z

I really like the pixel art and the overall gameplay mechanics felt well polished! I really enjoyed seeing the different types of guns you could get and the bullet hell feel came across well. It definitely fit the theme in terms of getting overwhelmed but it seemed to all maybe go too quickly from easy to hard? It maybe felt like this because of the small size of the game world, which I appreciate might just be me because the smaller size of the game world gives across a cool retro feel! Overall, I enjoyed playing!

DLAY's Buffet by BinaryPrinciple 2022-04-16T14:42:22Z

Fun gameplay loop and I especially like the animation of throwing the sheep perfectly each time, very satisfying! The graphics were nice and the background music also worked well too! The game felt quite easy and could have maybe done with some counterpoint gameplay mechanic to throwing in the sheep to add some more strategy. Overall, the gameplay loop was very fun and it felt well polished!

NeedyMonsters by Snory 2022-04-08T13:50:01Z

Really interesting idea, I like the shop system and the inventory system, I think the gameplay has a good layer of complexity to it too! I think the game may have needed to have an interactive tutorial, but apart from that was a cool concept and was well executed! Overall, great game!

Oh No My Trophy by zimny11 2022-04-08T12:25:31Z

I really like the take on the theme, and the painting-on defences mechanic was really unique! It took me a while to understand what was going on but when I got the hang of it it was fun to play! Some more clear way to show what paints to use on which enemy would be nice, like maybe if you hover over an enemy type some UI could show you because the blue ones were weak to blue spray but the red ones didn't seem to be weak to red, that might just be a personal thing though. Overall, I really enjoyed playing and this is a great entry that made me want to play longer to get a better high score!

This Is Just A Game by Convg 2022-04-06T17:02:43Z

I really liked the pixel art graphics and the material gathering and crafting was fun. Its also very impressive how you've managed to do world generation in the space of the jam, it also worked very well and produced some cool maps! I would have liked to have more time to explore the island and gather materials as it feel a bit jarring when the bugs kicked in, however this feature did make it different from other survival games, I feel as though it should have been introduced overtime rather than all at once. Apart from that, I think this game has a lot of potential and I would love to play a post jam version if you release one as the idea of involving the bugs was very cool and unique! And also, the world generation was seriously impressive!

1 Man 6 Bullets by Raphaeltan 2022-04-06T17:23:12Z

The game felt amazing and the gameplay was very polished, the bullet ricocheting mechanic worked very well and the attention detail also was noticeable like the on screen effects. The variety in the zombies was also a nice touch as it led to different tactics needing to be adopted for different scenarios. I feel like the main mechanic wasn't really delaying the inevitable as you could go on forever (e.g. the tactic where you camp a corridor). The audio was very good and the overall presentation of the game was really really good. I had a lot of fun playing, and has one of the best game feels of the jam so far! This really is an amazing game!

Energy tower defence by John llyod Apolo 2022-04-18T10:11:39Z

I really liked the graphics and the tower defense style gameplay in there was really cool. I liked the use of harder enemies being introduced to add variety and I liked the movement system, quite unique having a point and click shooter! Some UI for when they are in bound would have been nice, and I think the gun maybe should have been faster by default, just because of the large amounts of enemies, those are completely personal suggestions for additions because I really like what was there! Overall, this is a really great entry!

Definitely not Titanic by Charles Viau 2022-04-06T16:15:35Z

I really enjoyed the experience, the animations were very good and the graphics were amazing. The game definitely fit the theme and the sense of panic was definitely created through the use of the music and the particle effects and the difficulty increase in terms of more holes spawning over time. The hammer feature was a great addition to the gameplay, but there needed to be a way of removing the chance element to make it feel more fair. Apart from that, this was an extremely well made game with lots of polish and I really enjoyed playing!

Divine Rain by Jackaljk 2022-04-17T21:42:50Z

Very funny game! The audio was great and a very interesting concept! I had some trouble with aiming, with the pool appearing not where I was hitting if that makes sense, that might have been intentional to create some extra challenge though! Overall, I had a lot of fun, great game!

Healer's Handbook by javi7 2022-04-18T17:35:54Z

Amazing entry! The mechanics all worked great, the tutorial was nicely implemented and the audio was really good! The graphics were also incredible and the entire thing felt very polished!

It's really hard to think of some constructive feedback for such a complete game... I would have liked to have seen some more dialogue during the gameplay, but that's a personal opinion!

Overall I really enjoyed playing and this is an amazing entry!

LeapSheep by joselor 2022-04-08T13:31:27Z

I really liked the graphics and the parallax effect with the background was really cool! I also really liked the idea of the rolling mechanic as well! It was quite difficult too, but that just be me being bad... I liked the sound effect for walking and the background nature noise added another layer of polish to the game! I also liked the use of different paths in level 2!

The restart button should maybe be tied to the keyboard because the mouse isn't really used in gameplay, that's a nit pick though, so not a big deal at all! An animation of the wolf eating the sheep would have been nice too, because it sometimes felt as though I could've outrun the wolf but they were able to capture me when it didn't look as though I was touching them.

Overall, the graphics are amazing and I enjoyed playing!

Gladiatorus by Pepper Boi 2022-04-17T21:24:27Z

I liked the retro feel including the audio and the diamond transition, I also thought the combat felt polished with the sound effects and the different enemy types! Some ranged combat might have been nice, but I understand its a game jam and what you managed to create felt very polished! Some UI could have been nice like next wave in x amount of seconds, just to make things clearer. Overall, the game looked and played and very well, great entry, and a very fun game!

It Will Die Too by batkoi 2022-04-08T10:54:27Z

I really like the concept of using the terminal to tell the player what to do and the linking of the player's health bar to actions like attacking, which requires some timing skills to balancing healing with defending yourself. I think the actions should have maybe been numbered like pressing 1 was attack and 2 heal etc... just to speed up the process of selecting an action, because I think its a really cool mechanic typing into the command line, but yeah some way of speeding that up would nice, but that might just be me. Overall, the gameplay is very unique and I enjoyed playing!

Bitboy by Proxy-Games 2022-04-13T14:30:21Z

[Spoilers] I really liked the transition and the 4th wall breaking browser feature was really cool and innovative! The graphics also looked great and the narrative and mood was amazingly done! Some dialogue skip-to-the-end button would be nice like click during the dialogue to display it all and then click again to continue. The dialogue button could also be tied to the keyboard, but that is such a small nit pick, because overall this is an incredibly polished experience, with a great sense of mood and I really enjoyed playing! This is an amazing entry!

Choboro by DaivyIsHere 2022-04-18T10:24:00Z

Really interesting take on a pinball style game! The graphics were great and the slow motion on collision mechanic was quite unique and innovative, I also like the use of having more than one pinball to use, which in itself felt quite unique. Sometimes I feel like where they would go after I fired them in a direction was a little hard to judge, maybe there could be a mini trajectory that appears. That's a personal opinion because you might have wanted the extra layer of of challenge without it! Overall, I really enjoyed playing!

DataWorker by sophie.s 2022-04-08T12:17:55Z

I like the concept and the use of the conveyer belt added variety to the gameplay! The objects physics didn't seem to always work properly, other than that, really good for your first game!

B-Game by squaxcom 2022-04-04T17:50:01Z

I love the pixel art and the sound is very nice too! The playful mood set works very well with the gameplay, the visuals and the sound! The movement system was very creative too, having the bees swarm around the hive you guide, it also make it very satisfying when they manage to collect stuff! A wider fielder of view might have been helpful as I got lost a few times, but for the goes where I managed to keep track I really had a lot of fun. Overall, the incredible art and audio made the game really stand out!

The End Is Coming by MOOOKS 2022-04-18T17:20:05Z

The game felt very well polished, I really liked the pixel art and the trail renderer on the meteor! The physics also felt very consistent and I liked the increasing difficulty by speeding up the meteor! The sound effect for getting a hit was also very satisfying and the blowing up effect for the planet at the end also felt good! The powerups were also a great way to break up the gameplay!

I think the game screen could have possibly been a bit bigger especially when the meteor increases in speed, this wouldn't scale proportionally because then there wouldn't be much of a difficulty increase, but if it scaled slightly you could include some obstacles so its hard to predict where the meteor will go after bouncing off of them, to increase the challenge. This paragraph is a completely just a suggestion/addition because what you managed to do in the time was very polished, very satisfying and a very fun and complete game! The gameplay would also port well to mobile devices!

Overall, this is a super fun game, amazing entry!

Way before death by Arfilish 2022-04-04T16:52:27Z

I really liked the visuals of the game, the neon aesthetic worked very well, especially in a speedrun-style game! The sound was also a nice addition to the gameplay. While the movement is a bit jarring at first, it was a nice variation from regular movement and added another layer of challenge to the game. The difficulty was maybe a bit too high for me in terms of the timer running out and having to start from the start each time. Overall, I enjoyed the speedrun gameplay and the cool visuals!

Dungeon Crawl by jzucc12 2022-04-18T17:04:23Z

I really liked the style of game you went for here! I enjoyed the choice-based mechanics and I liked weighing up between moves with more damage and how long they took to happen! I also like the touches of polish like how the UI shakes when you get hit!

I liked the variety in the enemies and the more peaceful exploration time in between encounters was also a nice way to vary the gameplay and give the player some respite!

I think the UI should have been in the same style as the other sprites, like pixel art style, and the same with the font. I felt as though aesthetically it could have been more coherent, but I did like the visuals of the actual world itself along with the visuals of the enemies!

Overall, I really liked this entry, I've not come across many option-based games this jam and I really enjoyed playing yours, this is a really good entry!

RUNOUT by RobLaro 2022-04-08T11:31:41Z

This is a really interesting and unique concept! The boosting feature worked very well and it felt very polished! I feel like the mechanic would lend itself well to some level based gameplay with obstacles and you have to try and find the best way round them, or something to collect in the open world. Overall, the gameplay felt well polished and I enjoyed playing!

Game User Experience Manager Simulator by jess from online 2022-04-04T17:36:54Z

The atmosphere the game creates both while helping a user and outside of that environment is amazing! The terminal look of the typing was really effective, the sound worked very well and the gameplay mechanic of reversing the choice-selection to be about choice-removing was really innovative. I had a lot of fun finding out where the different paths led to and it felt great having my first successful player! Overall, I really enjoyed playing!

Casually Comitting Tax Evasion by Frizuo 2022-04-04T18:07:33Z

I really liked the graphics and the music was really nice too! The idea was really innovative, I've not seen a game like this before! I also liked how the lots of different control options for centring things and using the papers. An interactive tutorial might have helped, but it is a game jam, so I totally understand time constraints for that! Overall, I really like the graphics and idea!

Time Dash by Agyrzstar 2022-04-08T10:48:34Z

I really liked the minimalist feel you were going for and I think its a really cool concept combining the player's health and timer together! Some more feedback when you hit and enemy would be nice, I saw there was a small lash on the enemy, so maybe that just needed turning up a bit? The powerup was a nice way of breaking up gameplay and diversifying it, maybe an indicator as to how long it would last would be nice too. The sound effects that were there were also a nice touch and added a nice layer of polish to the game. Overall, I enjoyed playing!
