A really cool idea, fitting well with the theme

Too bad there is no music or sound effects :slight_frown:

Great work

Impressive work for a good game. It reminds me some Sokoban gameplay. However, your project is really interesting, especially how you manage the story, starting with nothing. An amazing idea. Of course, I would like to hear some sounds and a background music. Maybe with more time, you could create a full game adding new features and sounds. So I had fun playing. You deserve more ratings - and don't understand why you have only a few ratings. Thank you for playing mine - I really appreciate your feedback ++

Incredible graphics and UI design! would be better with sound like flipping the pages I guess, anyway good job!

This is one of the most innovative ideas I've seen this jam. The swapping text mechanic is really unique and fun, the visual style is great, and the puzzles are designed very well. As others have mentioned, throw some sound and you've really got a great one here! Very well done!

I really like this idea, making a sokoban puzzle even cooler with changing world parameters. I got stuck in the fire area and couldn't progress - not sure what I was supposed to do. I could resurrect my guy by switching to nothing and back, but the map also reset, which stranded me.

Awesome, awesome style! The changing words element was cool, though i was sad I couldn't switch between the goblin and the traveller. I got one star then i got trapped in the fire area, and then the game froze.

I really liked the environment design and the page mechanic. The player sprites were very characterful too.

That was really fun! I got stuck a few times, but the hints on the page got me back on track.

Nice interpretation of the theme, tight and intuitive controls, awesome graphics. Great job!

This game was a lot of fun. This was a really awesome utilization of the theme and it kept me occupied for quite a while. Really well done!

This game is so much fun and I really do think that this could be developed further into a commercial title! The puzzle elements are great as well as just the general innovation behind it! I am not a massive fan of the board game style movement however that might just be a personal thing, also some audio would benefit it! I think the idea and the core gameplay is there, as well as the really well designed puzzles. Overall, this is an amazing jam entry! PS also I love the fantasy theme!

This is a pretty neat entry! The puzzle difficulty ramped up pretty quick, so I'm glad there was a walkthrough video, but the core mechanic feels like it has a lot of potential if you decided to expand on this. Some audio would have been nice for polish, but it's pretty impressive as-is.

This was one of the best I've ever played! just needed a song. I think you should go ahead and use this game as a project for sale, I found the style and idea amazing!

This is such a clever idea! I love the hybrid interaction between the book and the world - makes me think of the Myst universe. The art's well done and there're some really clever puzzles. Fantastic work.

Amazing!

cgixe 2019-10-26 19:21

Loved the idea! A nice twist on the block pushing puzzle game! Would have liked some audio, but otherwise a very good game!

You could totally make this work as a commercial game. I love it! Best game I've played this Ludum Dare so far. I really like that this puzzle game really has you thinking, something not particularly many can do all the time.

djindegames 2019-10-26 19:57

Very nice idea and very original gameplay ! Honestly this is really cool, too bad there is no sound effect or musics, but there is still a lot of room for improvement, graphics are really good too !

pegasys 2019-10-26 21:39

Absolutely amazing idea! I hope to see this idea implemented in a full game

lilkrit 2019-10-26 23:43

Very impressive. Reminds me of some very good indie games :)

poodle-in-need 2019-10-26 23:50

the idea makes it pretty unique, great game!

Amazing idea and great implementation. The puzzles made me nostalgic.

kristinamay 2019-10-29 16:46

This is a reallly good idea, I really like it. I'd love to have some sounds, too, but I'd totally play a more polished and fleshed out version of it.

It reminded me of a graphics accelerator since 2009. I work as a screenwriter and I often edit game stories. My main work is related to creative text that I sell to students [spam] and game companies. Simple texts can be prosaic and interesting. I recently worked on the Gwent card game. This is a unique game with a direct plot of the famous saga of The Witcher.
