Noone to play with unfortunately. Looks promising though.

Nice visuals!! I like the portals. The overall feel of it is nice too. I was a bit put off by the insta-death-restart cycle which I ended up going through repeatedly. Some ideas would be to:
- Avoid using installers for small games like this, so that we can get started immediately and don't have to later uninstall - Keep music running after death, at least for me, I died very early very fast, making the music cut off over and over again - Make game a bit more forgiving, hard restart makes you sad after a few times - Make sure hit boxes are rather too small than too big. It felt like invisible boxes repeatedly killed me.
I think it looks very promising, and is a nice idea. I hope you'll continue building on it :)
Seems like a nice idea! Right now it feels mostly like a prototype, but I got the idea. Good luck with future developments!
Impressive entry - One of the best visuals I have seen this Ludum Dare. Also tight and addictive gameplay, with highscore and leaderboard as a nice motivator for replay. Got a bit repetitive after a while (run in a circle, while frenetically shooting), but I think there still is a nice variation with different types of enemies spawning in after some time. I enjoyed this one, thanks!
Nice game, really enjoyed the explorative part, and the rest was quite tight too. Had some trouble getting the hang of how to manage the resources (without reading the detailed guide here). The mechanics could perhaps be a bit more streamlined? Nevertheless, it was a nice experience, well done :)
Haha, nice! First one that really drew a laugh out of me. So relatable. I think the minigames overall went well together with the rest, but it was the setting and the dialogue that made it really interesting for me. Also, best take on the theme I have seen this far.
I liked the responsiveness of jumping and striking, and the overall intense mood was nice. I found the insta-deaths followed by redoing the steps I have done that far a bit frustrating, and also sometimes felt that I was killed by enemies despite striking them at the same time (maybe this is upgraded in later version!). Overall very promising, but some polish needed to make it truly enjoyable!
Nice game, impressive to get it all together in such short time! Not entirely my kind of humour, but still got a chuckle out of it.
Enjoyable game. I was a bit confused about controls and how to approach the frozen brother, and the fact that I suddenly was at Antarctica (thought I would gradually get there, country by country, but might hard to do in 48 hours...). I liked the idea, visuals and music. Good job!
I like the setting, and the premise of the game. The visuals were some parts very nice, even though the sharp contrast to the single-color road was a bit jarring. I think the story could have been developed to be a bit more engaging. Another minor functionality which I would have enjoyed a lot would be to be able to continously press arrow when walking rather than tapping-waiting-tapping... Overall, I think it shows promise, and would be nice to see where your games end up in the future. Good luck :)
This was awesome! Best one this far. Played it two times, first getting the hang of it, and then completing it. I was very positively surprised by the satisfying ending. Not many have time to make such nice story, fiery boat animations and even an ultra-happy song.
For constructive criticism I would say that even though the game mechanics overall was very satisfying, it sometimes felt a bit slow waiting to get together enough resources (in particular the drained food), and also interaction when ships started attacking was a bit all-or-nothing. If I didn't have resources, a huge chunk of the island was eaten away. Second time I tried when I was a bit prepared - Then, piece of cake.
Nevertheless, my favorite this far. Would love to see what you do with it if you develop it further. Which you should!
Very interesting game, with nice gameplay. It looks great - This could definitely be something to develop further. Gamewise it was a bit confusing for me in the beginning what the goal was and how to achieve it, but got the hang of it quite quickly. Well done :)
Nice game. I liked the ambience of it in particular. The size, the visuals and graphics worked well together to give a sense of loneliness. Didn't encounter any special events, so for me the interesting part was mostly the ambience and dialogue rather than the gameplay.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the explorative feeling. It would have been nice to read text while just passing by the planets, rather than having to stop and get new momentum - It kind of disrupted the nice flow. Nevertheless, I think the soundscape, the visuals and the general flow of the games goes very nicely together!
Really enjoyed the music, and like the paper-style artwork. Nice mechanics, and liked the rebounce effect when firing the gun. Got a bit repetitive after a while, even if the mechanics allowed for some strategizing (jumping over and shooting from behind, using rebounce to keep distance from oncoming enemies..) Nice job!
Fun game! Enjoyed the crowdsurfing in particular! Didn't manage to rouse the crowd all the way though, but enjoyed it anyway.
Nice game! I in particular enjoyed the visuals and the atmosphere.
I think the artwork was neat, it had its own style :) I wasn't able to figure out how to pick up and eat food, and think it could have benefitted by having a stronger sense of urgency - It was quite easy to avoid the cat and keep up with the other things. Nevertheless, I think it was a nice entry, and I would guess that some effort has gone into drawing and animating that cat!
I found this very interesting. I like the interwovenness of the puzzles, that you freely can switch between them (just like memories). The shadows also moving independently of the puzzles was also a nice touch. Some puzzles were tricky, and slightly cumbersome to navigate around. Overall, this was probably one of my favorites this far. Would have been great with ambient music!
It is nice, looks fabolous, sounds good and had a nicely responsive movement and jumping. My main complaints are that I didn't get along very well with the platform mechanics. It felt like the hitboxes had some 'padding' around, making it collide and insta-die in unfair situations. The hitting-the-roof jump break killed me many times. Hidden spikes when going down platforms was also a frequent killer. Some kind of ammo limitation/shooting speed limitation would also be nice, as I ended up spamming bullets in all directions in an attempt to hit all targets.
Sorry if I got a bit intense in my review there, I usually keep a lower tone. It is just, I think it has such a fantastic potential, and that if you work some more on the platform mechanics, you will have a top-LudumDare game. Good luck in the future!!
I thought this game was loads of fun! One thing I thought about was that there seemed to be no actual benefit in keeping the island as large as possible for as long as possible instead of just picking a spot and firing like crazy to protect that particular spot. If the score somehow was related to retaining area over time, that could maybe promote protecting the whole island? Sound was a bit intense, would have gone for a lower-tone shooting sound effect. Very engaging, played it to the end. Overall, nice experience - well done :)
Looks and sounds great. I like the ambience in it all. I repeatedly received same question, so I was unsure whether there were a 'correct' answer I didn't find.
Nice! Took some fiddling to get the hang of it, but the learning curve was just right. It feels like you took a small and clear game, clearly on theme, and executed it very well. A minor idea would be to make it clearer in-game what the goal is (I had to check back to this page). Nevertheless, great fun, and good on you being able to keep tabs on the scope.
Nice game! I enjoy the feeling of the shoot-em-up part. It felt like the game aimed high with nice graphics, and a multi-mode gameplay, and didn't fully make it there. I think it overall would have benefitted by focusing more on extending and balancing one of the modes. Nevertheless, impressive work for a Ludum Dare!
Awesome game engine, and general feeling of it. Had some issues actually crafting the bullets though. I pressed E, but nothing happened. Probably just missed something obvious though, as I managed to craft 30 bullets once. Also, got screen tearing issue after restart forcing me to Alt + F4 before continue playing. So my overall experience was - Very exciting and promising game, and some more balancing debugging left to do!
I liked this one a lot, keept me hooked for a while! Nice and tight controls, interesting concepts and spot-on the theme. Impressive work. The thing that made me stop playing after a while was the insta-death against walls in levels with cumbersome passages. I think it would have been nicer with some kind of penalty (bounding off and freezing for a moment or something) rather than immediately forcing restart which broke the immersion for me. But that was kind of my only complaint. Nice job!!
Top-tier soundscape and general mood! Relaxing and enjoyable. Got a bit repetitive after a while, and was a bit unsure what the kill condition was (ending up outside screen? any downside with colliding with obstacles?). I really think you have something nice going here through, well suited for mobile. Good luck with its future developments!
I enjoyed the feeling - the dancing steps and the happy music! I struggled a bit when moving the character around, but due to the happy look of the character I felt pretty happy anyways!
Haha! Very enjoyable, with a dramatic taste. Very difficult to get the hang of the moment, but I gradually got the car together. The narration was awesome. I enjoyed it, good job!
Very cool game! Art is amazing, and soundscape fits really well. Interesting game mechanics and well balanced. Minor comment is that it becomes very tricky after losing some 'closer' cannons to try to protect that lonely cannon hanging far out in the air. One of my favorites this far, will play it more times :)
Thanks for all the nice comments, and constructive feedbacks!
@humphreysmedia Happy you noticed that the shop owners also are in Big Tomato :)
Very dramatic, and interesting in its own way. The music really put the mood on it all! I think the music continued playing in many layers when restarting the game (and got several layers of text too), but after restart I got all the endings. The story could have been elaborated, but I am smiling a lot right now, so that tells me this was good. Thanks :)
Fantastic music! Cute graphics :) It raises the whole game. The first cutscene made me smile too. The game got a bit repetitive after some time (and I expected the cat to kill me!). I enjoyed it, thanks.
The visuals are spectacular and the mood is great. I enjoyed the rapid movements too. The annoyance for me was to try luring the demons to attack, which could take some time. But very well put together, I really like games that conveys an atmosphere and idea like this one!
The web link works for me! (Logged into Itch, dunno if that matters). Peaceful game, enjoyable atmosphere and voice. Was not able to see the palette until I found the full-screen, so in the beginning everything was purple. Had some issues getting hang of the movement, and pushed out two yellow boxes, but made it to see the end text. Particularly liked the transitions with color and music and nature. Would love to see an updated version of this in the future :)
Peaceful and enjoyable game! Played it to 300. Very nice visuals, pleasant to watch. Sound and extra points / effects when hitting on the circle would have been awesome. I also lacked the ability to shoot without a clear target, but that might be on purpose. I enjoyed it, nicely done :)
Very cool and unique, very much on theme. Interesting take with using the bodies as lives. I got fully engaged in this one all the way to finish. Great job!
Snappy and oddly satisfying movement and cleaning action. I did my best to carefully clean up everything. I missed getting some rewarding message! (Or maybe I missed some fistula). The music fit the mood, but gradually became repetitive. Thanks for the mute button. Overall, although feeling not fully complete, a nice experience. Well done!
The art and the atmosphere was fantastic! I felt the writing didn't fully reel me in, but still enjoying the ambience. One of the most atmospheric entries I played in this jam. Foundation for something really nice, hope you continue building on it!
@sweer The 'melee harpoon' is a feature, we left it to allow some close-combat with the fishes. The dragging back of the harpoon animation would indeed be cool!
@masael255 Nice to hear you had fun :) Indicators of where to go in some way would indeed have been nice. Maybe could have done something with bubbles? Maybe you did, but make sure to use the harpoon to shoot downwards for more control over the fall!
@local-minimum Happy to hear you liked it :) Good comment about being clear to the player about what is going on. Could probably have added very clear instructions in the beginning on controls and what you are supposed to do!
@xeke-death Thanks, happy you liked the mechanics and the story telling! Yes - we left it as a feature, we thought it didn't make it much easier as you need to go so close to the fishes, and that it could be a fun alterantive to shooting.
Great to see @marcmagus, thanks for testing it out :)
It was great! I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the take on the theme. And the end :) I struggled with the game mechanics though - didn't realize I was looking for the portal code first (didn't see the portal in the beginning) and searched for long for flowers. When the game said 'you have to persist when you are the verge of giving up' I was really on the verge. But skillfully told story with the aesthetics and story. This is one of my favorites!
Cool game, really enjoyed the atmosphere and strategy! It felt like a bit part of the challenge was to find the time to rotate the curves correctly, but I really didn't mind. A next step would maybe be some 'chaotic factor', for instance something attacking which could be defended against using some turrets or similar, but I realize the LD-jam constraints. Great job :)
Cool game! Impressive amount of both visuals and audio for a jam, and some clever game design on top of that! I enjoyed the movements and the visuals of the characters and the robot balls. I made it to the third climbing level, where I somehow couldn't figure out how to get to the final platform in time before the laugther of the giant metal ball (so close, yet so far away?). It became a bit repetitive towards the end, and it might have been worth really polishing the first level rather than aiming long. But as I said, very impressive work and I had a nice time playing it :)
Awesome art, nice atmosphere and fun gameplay. Really a nice one :)
Nice atmosphere, I like that it takes on a serious topic. I got the good ending, don't have the heart to play for the bad one. Of course sound and some fiddling with the mechanics would make it even more playable, but you succeeded in making a complete game here. Nice job!!
I got 211 points, and some dramatic music! I enjoyed the entry. Funny intro, and some interesting mechanics. A next step could have been to put in more things to avoid / look for during the gameplay!
Fun take on the theme, and a bit confusing game. It made me smile. Well done!
Cool atmosphere and sounds. Not so engaging gameplay in itself, but still enjoyable to float away with for a while.
Nice atmosphere and nice job with this game! One detail I struggled with is that on my Firefox Unity doesn't capture space, so the screen jumped down every time I iterated on the text. Other than that, a nice experience :)
I in particular liked the visual effect when jumping :) Also great music and nice snappy movement. I liked how the earlier divers showed danger ahead. After a while it became a bit repetitive - it would have been great to get some reward for shooting enemies, like a more powerful gun. In the end, I died tragically. But I think this was a nice one, good job :)
Nice game! I reached maybe 8 points before it all fell down for me. First a bit confusing, but then I found it interesting and well fitting the theme. I also dig the music. Well done!
Cool atmosphere and nice small game. A bit annoying to redo them repeatedly, but I have to blame myself - I didn't carefully take note of the founding of our glorious company. Nice job!
Very hard, but fun to move around. I liked the sound effects.
