@GhostAndShell, for a specific reason? Itch.io not okay for you? I would like to keep it on one site, at the moment. Maybe if I'll do a post-jam version, I may think about it.
This is a really fun game, and looks and sounds great. I really want to go to this gig, it has a great atmosphere!
Such a fun and cute little experience!
|+ The whole concept, crowdsurfing, a great idea in itself but you executed it so well with the super charming art and atmosphere. |+ Seeing the enthusiastic crowd grow as more people enter and you motivate them is a great site. |+ The addition of little things like the fun sparks when the pogo meter was high enough.
|- It wasn't entirely clear how the score/pogo meter increased or what could be done to improve it (across multiple attempts I would get the highest pogo meter at the beginning/with the fewest people).
? A really great and fun entry. It might have been nice to instead have you recover stamina by crowdsurfing instead of the beer to integrate that more, but regardless even if I couldn't see any strategy or means to intentionally gain a higher score, I really enjoyed my time with it, awesome work :)!
Ahahah I laughed a lot with this one, I nearly destroyed my spacebar :-) The game is well polished, and the idea is original, fun, and uplifting!
This is definitely a fun one. :D Not so sure about how you incorporated the theme, but it put a smile on my face.
The art is very good, and the music clearly suits the game very well. The beer pickup sound was a little annoying, but weighing that against the good elements it's no big issue.
In conclusion: \m/
Fun to play! It looked great and the soundtrack worked well. I don't understand what makes the pogo meter go up, it seemed like pretty much everyone in the crowd was pogoing but the pogo meter was next to empty.
I like it, its quick, effervescent, dumb (and I mean this in a good way) fun. I'd say if I had one beef, base movement speed is a bit slow but otherwise just quality stuff.
Thanks for the game <3
Awesome game. A prime example of a "game jam game". Small scope, funny concept, really quirky.
I didn't feel a lot of motivation to get score and didn't entirely understand all the mechanics of the game. But I felt that even without a motivation for score it was really fun to just play around with trying to build a giant ball of people bouncing while crowdsurfing through them. Art was perfect.
Great work!
haha!! Awesome! Pogo pogo!!! Awesome art + awesome music! And I just love how all the characters stick together when you jump!! Great work! Surely one of the greatest games I've played till now!
Keep up the good work! :)
Well the worst things first, there isn't much game. You crowdsurf and you pogo around to animate the crowd. The good thing, you crowdsurf and pogo around to animate the crowd. It actually feels awesome and it makes me want to go to a concert right now.
The concept was great in principle and I really liked the execution. Gameplay is simple, which I fear may work against the game's replayability but while you area actually playing you sort of get into the cheerful mood.
Graphics were cute and polished, and the rock tune was catchy, very fitting.
Love the art, and the variety of characters. Your guy jumping around with enthusiasm is great, I can see why it's so infectious!
Such a great feel. It feels very cohesive even though there isn't much to do. The atmosphere is spot on as well
I loved the cuteness of the visuals in this. It was very satisfying to watch everyone get excited with me as I bounced around and crowdsurfed. My only complaint is that I was a bit confused as to how my score was tied to what I was doing.
Nice complete experience! I liked the charming pixel art and I felt like you did a good job achieving that small concert feel.
Cute and fun concept for a game. I enjoyed exciting the crowd, and the pixel art was good.
A bit confused as to what the strategy would be. At first I was just hanging out up by the stage, but then I realized that people started leaving for the corners, and figured my job was to run around down there, as they seemed to run back towards the stage once I got them Pogoing. Also, does the crowd surfing give points? Or was that just a way to get out of a tight spot?
Good Job!
@RealityCheck The strategy is to get as many people as possible to dance. Depending on how many are dancing and how many are not, you get more or less Points per Second. I should have made that more clear :& But thanks for the feedback anyways!
Awesome! I love the stamina meter. It's like the Dark Souls of party games.
Haha what a cool game, it has some real character and unique feeling. Had a fun time crowsrufing and trying to get all the people to dance and the art is just great.
Fun game! Enjoyed the crowdsurfing in particular! Didn't manage to rouse the crowd all the way though, but enjoyed it anyway.
This game is a blast to play, it is very good and has a unique idea. The amount of polish is amazing only the beer pickup sound distracting.
Awesome Idea! More games need a crowdsurfing mechanic :) I had a lot of people respawning in the left bottom so I couldn't finish, but your game is very enjoyable!
haha that was funny! The atmosphere and the sound are awesome! It felt so good to get the people to the dance floor and do the crowdsurfing :D Very cool polished game. I had a lot of fun playing it! :)
Great idea, expertly executed. Nice art, good music, all around really fun. I had a smile on my face the whole time! This one hit nails it.
This was awesome and fun!! Very nice game. :dancer: :man_dancing:
Didn't know really how the score worked and the beer sound was a bit loud but it didn't really matter to me because THIS WAS SUCH A COOL EXPERIENCE! The music (did you really write it just for this??), the graphics/presentation/polish, and the idea (especially the crowdsurfing) are all amazing! Congrats
@xavier-indie-gamedev HA :D thanks man! I "wrote" the music in three hours but it was more like "let's put some drum beats together.. okay and now two hour jamming with the guitar, no mixing etc. export and go". I want to improve music and sounds for a post jam version and also improve the score-mechanic. Thanks for the feedback!
Making everybody dance was a good idea. I found that crowdsurfing was the only way to move when you're boxed in by fans.
This is awesome! Feels really polished. If you are doing a post jam version, I think you should include some kind of Leaderboard that would help to motivate the players to replay the game for a higher score.
@devpaul a leaderboard is already in the pipeline :) I'll just wait till voting is finished, before I publish it.
That was great! Very original and funny concept. The game is very simple, yet so interesting. The game is actually very well-thought and feels very polished.
Graphics are also very neat. The only thing is I'm not sure that I agree with the choice of music: It wasn't engaging enough I think. Still, that was a very solid game! Good job!
I really like some of the lighting effects, the graphics were cool. It would be nice to have a frame of reference for the scores, I'm not sure how well I did.
This would take a crazy amount of effort, but if the band got more intense the better you did, that would be awesome.
Fun little game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reOMZ5szx64
