Very well done. Kudos to the art department for making the fish and worm cyan (makes them easy to see in dark areas), although a cyan bird against a blue sky was a little hard to see.

Very well done. Kudos to the art department for making the fish and worm cyan (makes them easy to see in dark areas), although a cyan bird against a blue sky was a little hard to see.
Very interesting. Your Smallworld mini-game was unique, in a way.
Very fun, although trolls moved a little slow for my liking (you'd think a hungry troll would move faster towards food).
Nice resource management, although I wouldn't recommend red and green on a white background. I'm partially red-green colorblind, so trying to tell the two resource sites apart was a pain for me.
Interesting. My only problem was how slippery the controls were, such as when I'd jump once while moving and fly over the entire world. The signs were fun to read, although I wasn't given much time to read them.
The animation is wonderful, although I feel like more should be left for the player. It feels more like a guided tour than a game.
Throwing the player into a 3D war zone is a little bit to wrap my head around. I liked the game, but a tutorial level or something like that may be helpful.
The breaking-the-fourth-wall thing seemed a little dull, but I must admit the sudden explosion of goats was unexpected and hilarious.
Very interesting. The music works well with the game.
I like it. The cursor is a little buggy, but I made do, even if disasters kept destroying my explorers and equipment.
The game is nice, but could use a few touch ups. Some more feedback from actions would be great. Also, the sword attack is too laggy with not enough range to be effective.
The compo version is indeed a little short. Just a little. This could be fun with some expansion.
Nice story. Your analogy of the attack types to rock, paper, scissors was very useful while learning how to play.
The concept is doable, but the game needs work. The controls are not at all responsive, making it very difficult to move around or even shoot.
The great soundtrack with bright colors makes this a very enjoyable display. The gameplay is challenging but solid.
This game is simple but fun. Part of the appeal is a simple mechanic applied to challenging gameplay (Shapes fall faster and faster).
This simulation was really enjoyable. I liked how they all raced to the food and had to grow to a certain size before they could reproduce.
The game crashed while I tried to exit the third car. I wasn't sure how I could heal, as I only got one package of rat's meat. The dog was an excellent addition.
It took me a little bit to figure out the rules of the game, but it was fun once I did.
Your story was very emotional for an indie game. Good writing!
Playing pinball on the Earth is actually quite fun. I'm not sure if you made the music, though. Perhaps you should opt out of the audio rating?
It's pretty good, but the grappler is too difficult to maneuver. Also, there's some kind of bug in the jar file that prevents rendering if I try to use any window size other than default.
Very fun game. The laggy attack was challenging to use, but had a nice feel to it.
Great game. Putting everyone to work for their own survival was very addictive.
The game was very fun, although the enemies were a little hard to fight. I usually had better luck avoiding them.
Trying to collect the correct elements is challenging, but that adds to the fun.
The controls are a little hard to use, but the experience was pretty neat. I'd recommend transferring steering controls from the mouse to the keys.
A very interesting story, although I'm not sure if it's a game.
Making everybody dance was a good idea. I found that crowdsurfing was the only way to move when you're boxed in by fans.
It was interesting to play, but I have no idea if I actually managed to craft anything. Some more in-game feedback, and maybe even instruction, would be helpful.
It seems like a pretty interesting game, but I had trouble figuring out how everything worked. I think an in-game tutorial would be be very helpful.
Interesting drawing program. My only complaint is that we have to create login information, which seems tedious for something so small.
Kind of reminds of mini-golf, but with more black holes. The music set the mood quite nicely.
Nice resource management game, although it's a little difficult to catch on. A few labels would be nice.
I'm no good at puzzles, but these were just challenging enough to be engaging without being too hard. Well done. My only concern is that some colors, such as red and orange, look very similar.
It's a little hard to play, but it's doable. One of the main challenges is that attacking requires throwing your knife and then retrieving it. Maybe there should be a way to attack without throwing things, like a weaker punch if your knife is gone?
Good concept with a soundtrack to match. I should know, my browser froze during the web version and replayed the song for five minutes while I tried to get my computer working again.
Most of my activity was spent just trying to get the tardigrade to move. It was enjoyable, although I've no idea how to get points.
Playing around using the gravity of planets was fun.
Interesting, although I got lost in the expanse of space.
i never figured out that you could reset the oxygen meter manually, so I had to do it the hard way. The puzzles were mostly challenging because of the floaty control scheme.
Your slow progress through the game does a good job of teaching the player how everything works. Its actually a little addictive.
The game was simple but fun. It took me awhile to figure out how it works because the text was so hard to read (WebGL version).
Good game. The balanced build, graphics, and audio are very impressive for a Compo.
The mechanics are well made, although the attack is too laggy for fighting swarms of enemies. The music sets the tone quite nicely.
The game looks good, but the mechanics need work. Jumping feels too unnatural and colliding with the undersides of platforms gets in the way of things. 2D platformers can be tough because you need more complicated physics like gravity. Keep at it.
It's a nice resource management game, but as water replenishes on its own, building new factories isn't hard as long as you replace them right away. Your dialogue was too fast and high pitched to understand.
Very well done. I think I got a good ending, although it's not easy to tell. Some of the results of my choices were a little...unexpected.
Very fun, has a sort of puzzle-like quality to it.
I liked it, although the constant backtracking made it a little tedious. Maybe travel could be shortened by warping, or some other method of travel so there's no need to sit in one place waiting for the next planet to zoom by?
Fun game, although the small size of everyone made them hard to keep track of.
I like the take on environmentalism. My only problem was that the planet would sometimes stop scrolling once you reached a pole and made you rotate a bit before you could continue.
It was pretty good, although not everything was very clear. I couldn't figure out how much RAM I had or how CPU was calculated, so I wasn't sure why everyone was dying and I still couldn't add any more objects.
It's a nice game, but sitting around waiting for something to happen every game hour was a little unstimulating. Maybe you could add a few background animations as random as your text bubbles.
The music fit well, but I had trouble understanding what I was supposed to do. The tasks are not always very clear.
The concept is great, but the controls are too hard for me to master. Too many buttons to keep track of.
The controls didn't really work for me, but overall it was fun to see your own ax fly around the planet.
Great puzzles, and the tutorial helps you understand how everything works.
I wasn't quite sure what the objective was, but you may be on to something. I got stuck in the small town. The game needs for intractables.
I like the concept, but I think that if you added a few obstacles this game would be more of a challenge.
The aim does not sync with the mouse very well, but it's fun once you get the hang of it.
Very good game, although your textboxes sometimes got in the way. Maybe try making them transparent?
The concept sounds promising, but the gameplay needs work. Supposedly I can "double-jump", but I can't even get off the ground.
Nice game, the music fit it well. Let me tell you as a biology student that your interpretation of the immune system isn't as inaccurate you may think:)
Interesting concept. I nearly laughed out loud at the mention of "retard units".
Dos a seis jugadores? Pero que si no tengo amigos en mi casa? Un juego para un jugador es mas bien para esta audiencia. Lo siento, no hablo espanol muy bien.
It was a fun game, although the turrets were a little hard to aim with.
I liked it. It actually reminded me of my own social life. I think this would have been more fun if there were more levels, because otherwise it feels a little short.
Nice puzzles, although the enemies were hard to interact with. They'd often remain stationary in one place and not let you past, but they wouldn't kill you, even if you touched them.
Very fun, and the music helped set the mood. McFloppyface seems a little...spazzy.
The camera needs to focus more on the player, but other than that the game was good. One thing I'd suggest is a bar or other visual display showing how much you've eaten or how much more to eat for the player to keep track of progress.
Very fun, although sitting around waiting for rooms to finish could get to be a little tedious.
Very fun, although the controls are a little hard. Those rats are very hard to fight.
The physics are a little weird, but that's what makes this game fun. Personally, I think that you should remove the forever scrolling aspect of the levels to make them smaller. This would help it fit the theme of "A Small World" better. Overall, great game.
The music was fitting, but it would have been nice if there was more to interact with.
This game was fun. I'd recommend adding some limitations of some sort so players can't just camp in a corner the entire time.
Very fun, although the whole element thing is a little hard to understand. Other than that, the gameplay was good and the sound effects were very light-hearted.
You really need a tutorial. The controls I found are hold space to begin play, use arrow keys to move. The concept is good, but the keys are a little hard to use, so I'd recommend slowing down the timer a little bit.
Very nice concept, trying to repel monsters while destroying the dome can be a fun challenge.
Very good puzzles. The gameplay is unique to me.
Nice game. Eating blocks you touch is a very interesting game mechanic.
The cooperation aspect was a little unclear at first, but it's a good concept. The message at the end was very charming.
It's a good game, but a tutorial might be nice. The controls take some getting used to.
Nice mood, although the slow movements are a little hard to use. The health bar is so high it took me nearly two minutes to notice I was being drained by the ground units. It would be helpful if they were more obvious than some little black things on a little black stage.
I played alone. There was no audio and the creatures would not die. On the bright side, I wouldn't either. This game could be fun if it was made more interactive, such as the ability to damage swarming monsters.
I didn't really understand how to play. Even when I thought I did there appeared to be some rules that I didn't understand. A tutorial level, or at least an intro explaining the rules, would be helpful.
Nice concept, but the controls are a little difficult. For example, I seem to struggle with jumping while moving the wheel. Also, are the obstacles randomly generated? I got to a point where I couldn't progress because there was a tall obstacle with nothing else to jump to, which proved problematic for getting the last carrot.
This game simulating the role of a leader was very enjoyable. My citizens were very happy and remained that way once I fixed their problems.
This game is amazing. I like how the beast looks like it was made by drawing a bunch of hairballs stuck together by code.
I liked it. The music set the mood well and the blinking mechanism was an excellent development choice.
It's fun, but it would be easier to collect for the portals we could readily see our inventories in-world.
The game was fun, but I had no idea was was "right trash". I tried changing the trashcans a few times, but somehow my score still dipped down to —3600.
This has promise, but the goals are not very clear. "You have to focus! Stop fidgeting" didn't give me any clues as to what do to next.
Very fun, although I never quite managed to get very far. The tutorial was very helpful.
These puzzles are very interesting. I enjoyed playing them.
The graphics and music are great, but the boost was a little clunky and hard to use. Maybe instead of having to press D, Space, Ctrl to boost forward, one could press D, Space, Space.
The way the lights go out as you progress is very clever and adds a healthy challenge to the game. The use of the shift key while jumping felt a little unnatural, but it works.
The angle of the board made the controls feel a little weird, but one gets the hang of it over time. The instructions are very helpful, but I couldn't get any bunnies to reproduce.
Interesting, though it does take some time to learn. This is kind of like a fun twist of a card game.
I like your new take on platforming. Sadly, I have a poor ear for sound recognition, so I didn't do as well as the others.
The ship could be a little more sensitive to controls, but other then that the game's not half bad.
This was quite hilarious. I was looking for practical and realistic solutions to my problems, so the sentient plants really caught me off guard.
The gameplay was good, but I didn't figure out what happens when you don't collect the nuclear waste. The bears dropping from the sky made the game very challenging.
The gameplay is doable, but the physics are a little hard to work with. Also, I couldn't seem to get any effect from passing bots through the ring.
The game was good, but all the shapes are similar and the bumpers look different in every level, so it's hard to tell what you are and aren't supposed to hit.
Very nice, although the game froze up and became unresponsive after a time. I saw any other players.
Very good. The shadow lurkers really added intensity to the game.
It was nice, although it was kind of hard to see the pirates until they were in your face.
Very interesting game. My only regret is that the MyPhone is not as common as I'd hoped.
It seemed interesting, but it needs a little polish, such as the floaty controls that make you feel like you're walking on ice. Otherwise this game could have potential.
I lasted about five seconds before I was overtaken by demons and laggy controls. Other then that, the game was very well done.
The gameplay was good, but it's impossible to do anything if you're surrounded. I liked the cool graphics.
I liked it, even if it was a little slow. I'd have to start over every time I took damage, so being able to restart at "checkpoints" would be nice.
This may not be a game, but it's the next best thing. Excellent work.
I had so much fun doing loop-de-loops! Since the game always restarts right where you ran out of fuel, there's not much incentive to collect it. I think that the plane should hit the ground sooner or later if it keeps descending.
The game was nice, but I couldn't get very far because the ship wouldn't restore my oxygen. Best run was 3/5 parts.
The puzzles are quite charming. I found trying to control your own robot while letting CPU players take care of some of the switches to be an interesting gimmick. The screen went black after the third level or so, and I'm not sure if that was the end or a crash.
I didn't really catch on at first, but after that I had a blast. I never really figured out about the assembly part, I'm afraid.
The puzzles are innovative, but there's so much to manipulate that the only challenge is the dwindling power. Other then that, it's pretty good.
The graphics were very charming, although I couldn't figure out how to avoid getting hit. Everything simply followed me like some buggy homing missile.
The concept was pretty funny, I'll admit. Getting hit by cars spawned me on the rooftops, so that was a bug I definitely abused.
I liked it, but I spent most of the time waiting for things to charge, which was probably my downfall.
I really like the use of rotations to get through the levels, although I'm not quite sure what happened when I used that spazzy computer with the little person telling me to "get out".
@boboman As noted in the description above, we're defining "power" as "military power", which is being weakened by bad weather. Ever tried fighting during a storm?
@random-storykeeper and @dracominer There've been other complaints about this, as well. The problem isn't Java, it's the clunky UI (no offense, dracominer, I know you worked hard on that). If the button doesn't work, click it again in a slightly different spot. Best spots are slightly off-center.
The game was nice, although sometimes the controls would freeze up while moving. I didn't have enough accuracy to kill faster than I shot.
Very fun game, the chases were very intense. The resource competition fit the theme quite well.
The gameplay was smooth, as was the artwork. Good job.
It was interesting, but seemed a little dull. I would suggest some more audio and visuals cues to tell you that you're struggling or succeeding.
I couldn't play, apparently I need something called "DirectX Runtime".
I liked the graphics, but I had some problems with the controls. A better tutorial level would be helpful.
I liked it. The short tutorial was especially helpful. Two things that could be improved are that the text should be advanced by a button in place of a timer and the controls seemed a little sticky.
The directions in the description were a little useful, but the game is still hard to learn without a full tutorial. The music was definitely good.
The astronaut moved so slowly that enemies would lay upon it and inflict damage without being in range of the weapons. Other then that, it was a solid entry.
The game was a little hard to learn, and I didn't have a lot of clues as to how to use the wheel, so most of the baby hamsters died when I tried to feed them. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to respond to your furry porn.
I don't have an ear for music, so I'm afraid I didn't do very well. I'm sure it would have been fun. I would suggest brighter visual cues for those who are hard of hearing.
I wasn't quite sure how the power mechanic worked at first, but I got it. I just wish I'd been able to see the map the entire time so I wouldn't keep crashing.
I really liked it, even if the power drained a little fast for my liking.
I made a fortune on green energy alone, so I'm pleased with that. I would like to see more event cards to keep the game interesting.
I like the setting, but it's a little hard to shoot. I kept getting killed.
I got the application to run, but the menu buttons are unresponsive.
I thought it was easy until it was hard. These puzzles are very well built.
Interesting, but some of the obstacles have negative consequences. It would be nice if there was a way to bypass said obstacles so you don't suddenly die.
It was annoying having to keep scrolling the entire time to find everything (especially once a lot of land had accumulated beyond 200 years). I would suggest putting everything of one plant type together. Other then that the game was strangely addicting.
I especially enjoyed the mood. Something about being drowned by sea jellies and urchins is very calming.
The concept had potential, though the physics were a little weird. I kept getting told to shoot stone walls and such, but I couldn't get the character to do so.
The simplicity of the game makes it even better, but it took me awhile to figure out I had to draw items in to use them. Before, I just shot them and assumed I got their effects when they disappeared.
This was very amusing. There was a wide variety of events, so it very felt dull. Sadly, I was invaded by "Vaddy" in the end.
The story was pretty sad. At first I didn't like the slippery controls of the car, but I suppose that makes it more like a dangerous driving situation.
This game was quite funny, even if the mazes were a pain to traverse.
The gameplay was very intense. The soundtrack kept me riveted throughout, although I could've done with a lower intensity start while I learned the controls.
I liked the gameplay, though I didn't realize that the other flying things were enemies. Other then that, it was pretty easy to pick up.
I liked the game, even if there were a few issues with collision detection. Please stop writing in black, the sky is a deep navy blue. It's nearly impossible to read. I couldn't find a way to exit the game, so I was trapped in it for a while. Not that it's a bad thing, of course, but I don't want to fade, too.
I really like the concept. My only concern is that it's nearly impossible to see anything when the lights are turned off. Maybe add night-vision functionality, or at least a flashlight?
I found the search for energy while watching The Entity spread very suspenseful. True, it wasn't much of a threat, but the game was well-built nonetheless.
I liked it. I even found a little bug where if you jump and land on a ladder, you'll skyrocket. Somehow, every miracle that could kill someone did, and I decimated the population.
I liked it. My only problem was that I couldn't figure out which key to press to switch batteries. Also, the tiny bot didn't go very far and so was not very helpful.
I literally alternated between twelve hour periods of eating and sleeping against my wishes. Would totally play it again.
I found the game to be pretty fun. This runner has a nice twist to it to keep you on your toes.
I especially enjoyed this entry. My only complaint is that the controls, especially the camera, were a little laggy and unpolished.
Very cool aesthetics, the sonar was very useful once I figured out it was there.
It's not much fun to play alone, which I always am. Otherwise, the mechanics are well polished and fun to mess with.
The game always tells me it's game over within thirty seconds, regardless of what I do. A better tutorial level would be helpful to get first-timers started.
The graphics are cute, but Spooky's low jump height made the game a little frustrating. If I could just reach the ledge I'm stuck under, the game would be great.
The game is good, even if the controls are a little complicated. It would be easier if we could use Z and X instead of Y and X.
This game has a lot of potential, however I found the driving controls to be frustratingly difficult.
I found the gameplay to be a little repetitive, but other then that that it was alright.
I liked it, although some ramping difficulty would be nice. There seemed to be some collision problems when I played.
It's interesting, but it's really hard to figure out what going on. The stats are a pain to find and nothing's labeled, so it's difficult to figure out what to do with them.
I would've enjoyed this game, but I'm a slow typer. I had someone else play for me who's better at it, and she thinks the words are coming in too fast.
It's interesting, but the UI is hard to use. Too much wait time, if you ask me.
I liked the graphics and the music was oddly compelling. However, the lighthouse doesn't go out very fast, so there's little challenge in keeping it lit. I would suggest adding something that disrupts the lighthouse to make it more challenging.
Sorry, but I can't play, I don't have an Android. Will it work on my Cyborg?
It was a little hard to learn. The physics are really floaty and gravity feels like the moon, so I had trouble with timing. Other then that the game was nice.
I liked the typing sounds, but I couldn't quite figure out how to play. The city always seemed to fail before I could figure out how everything works. Perhaps a tutorial may be helpful?
Very pleasing scenery and aesthetics. My only problem was that enemies spawned from shrines too quickly to evade if I ever wanted to get past without fighting to preserve life energy.
Interesting.
I had a few problems with the game. Namely, whenever I died I had to write a letter, but it wouldn't send. Restarting the program only seemed to erase my progress.
Are we really connecting to a server? That's pretty cool, although I'm not sure if I was able to connect properly.
I think that the idea might work if we didn't have to walk so far each time. It's a little tedious. Maybe have a few checkpoints?
Overall it was neat, and if the bugs were worked out it could do well.
I liked it.
Trying to manage resources wisely was really fun, I just wish there was more of a tutorial on how things worked. The pirates blasted right through my walls.
Now there's a theme you don't see everyday.
I found that there was really nothing to do while the kids are away, so I just did chores and made art, which was a little boring.
I think you should include a mechanic that allows you to skip paying your bills, which would incur greater penalties later.
Good job!
I played the web version.
It seemed buggy, in that the timer was going down but Santa was moving at a snail's pace. Needless to say I didn't get very far.
However, I did like the graphics, and the Christmas music synthetization was pretty neat.
@tanis I tried the web version again, but it still wasn't working.
The downloadable Windows version does work, though. I did much better there.
What makes it hard is that Santa moves really fast and you have to time the stopping distance just right. I feel as if there should be more challenge than that. Maybe boxes and wraps replenish at different rates, so you have to stay on track to keep up? The elves run all over the place, so they aren't a big factor.
Good game, though!
Pretty cool!
I'm pretty bad at strategy games, hence I didn't make it very far. However, we don't see many high-quality strategy games around here, so well done.
I played the post-jam version.
I love the title screen song! Best song ever. Make it a ringtone.
The gameplay was fun, but I had trouble aiming, so I just spammed the area attack the entire time.
I'm not sure I like using the mouse to navigate, but I may just be too used to WASD.
I did scavenge a little boi for parts, I'm not sure if that gave me any benefits. Did it restore my health or something?
Aside from the learning curve, the game was really fun. Add a good story mode and you've got a game!
Okay, so as the description suggests we were planning on doing a reward/punishment system with lollipops. You would've had to decide whether or not you wanted to risk losing your characters for a chance at a cure component.
Sadly, that never made it into the jam version. We read the theme, just didn't use it very well.
Although, if you kill off a character enough times, they disappear for good, so there is that, I guess.
@skdf You're not the only one who's having trouble launching. Apparently others are having troubles, as well. The problem seems to persist through every build and we don't know why.
@dracominer Do you have any suggestions?
@kruemelkeksfan The borders were fixed in the post-jam version. Attacks were also given cooldown times to make them less useful for travel, although Scooter's still remain viable for movement.
Pretty well done!
The spells were pretty fun to cast. The ending made it seem like I lost. Or maybe I did, I don't know, I'm not sure how good a hellhound is.
Awesome game!
I pretty quick to catch on, so I didn't do too badly. My only complaint was that I wasn't sure how to build structures. I'd click on the tent-thingy, but I wasn't sure if it did anything.
Very cute!
I didn't actually lose enough oxygen to make me want to eject my crew members. Of course, the LMB buttons didn't seem to do anything (I played the web version on itch.io), so I just kept dodging and that seemed to work fine.
This game was strangely addicting.
I think it was a lot of fun trying to figure out which animals not the butcher. I didn't lose any villagers, so I guess I interpreted the hints correctly.
Pretty sweet game!
The mechanics worked well and the choices were integrated smoothly. I think my problem was that the cursor for my mouse was invisible, so it was a little hard to tell what I was clicking until after it was selected (I played the itch.io version).
Very interesting mechanic!
I think I struggled with being able to expel people fast enough to keep my ship moving. I may just be really bad at the game, though.
Good game! I think you may find it advantageous to add some additional elements for more challenge. Maybe waves that knock away your valuables or an ignorant supply ship that drops heavy cargo onboard?
Also, I couldn't fit the game window on my screen. Maybe I had the wrong resolution, I dunno, but the game would be more enjoyable if I didn't have to manually scroll to see the timer.
I liked it.
What's frustrating is that there's no way to tell which piece will come off, so it's a lot of trial and error.
Other than that, good job! It was really fun.
Interesting concept.
I feel like some more audio and visual feedback would be helpful for combat. I felt like I was just flailing about the entire time with no control of myself.
Keep going!
I like it.
It's not super obvious where the power-ups are, and there's not enough text space to remind me what everything does.
The speed boost was too fun. Running around at the speed of sound...
Overall it's quite charming. Don't worry if you can't draw, we've all seen worse than what you can make!
Interesting game!
I loved how you could curl into a ball and roll around. Flying was a little tricky, though.
The controls seem a little unresponsive. There's a lot of delay and the only way to escape the tentacles is to never stop moving.
Overall, however, it is a charming little thing. The graphics were cute and the sounds went along well.
I liked it.
I think one of my main criticisms is that your red(?) brick walls look like your floors, so navigation takes a little concentration.
Sorry, but I'm colourblind. It happens.
Other then that, the game was pretty good. Your stealth mechanic was well done!
Some poor man was trying to help me and I just stabbed him in the gut.
5/5 Would play again.
It was a fun little text adventure, even if I did lose my free will at the end.
Oof, I sacrificed everything. I'll have to do better.
Interesting gameplay! I like how you made so many moral conundrums just to progress.
@adrien-dittrick The baby is sentient and able to move around from time to time.
This was strangely addictive. Good job! Add some catchy background music and you're good to go.
I like it, although the physics did feel a little clunky. Good job!
It's good, but I didn't really feel like there were any stakes involved? Do the ruins show signs of suffering at any point? I kept throwing trash in the bin as it came but nothing really happened.
