Do have an atmosphere of a storm day !

nekonemo 2017-08-01 12:54

Great game, really good atmosphere but unfortunately the objects are falling a bit fast and the only one I got felt directly on me. But this idea of two differents things running out of power is great. A good game! The water under is beautiful!

kakarotsan 2017-08-01 13:09

Hard game but I managed to beat it.

Good: * Wonderful graphics * Nice mood * Dat water! * Innovative healing mechanic

To work on: * Wasn't sure where to go in the beginning and where to put the wood in

norakio 2017-08-01 16:15

Hey, awesome game

The mood and atmosphere was really good, and the game play was also innovative!

A scoring system instead of ending the game after a set time may be a nice addition though, as the play time can vary largely each round and can show how well the player did.

Thanks @teddydd for checking out my game btw.

joemag 2017-08-01 19:07

Very interesting game, the audio was super dreary but I imagine that's the point. I think the wood was falling just a little too fast. There also didn't feel like a direct objective other than not dying, could have used a score board or maybe a timer to survive. Art was cool and was definitely a unique idea, good work overall.

resivium 2017-08-01 19:41

Quite the funny game this is! The game plays smooth, the art is decent and there is a story behind it. I only missed some goal in the game. This could be accomplished with a scoreboard. You should also avoid spawning new objects right above the house.

You put the theme into an unique perspective, good job!

jotson 2017-08-01 19:59

Well done! I like the idea. I didn't understand how to heal the owl though. He always seemed to run out of energy. I really liked the graphical transition from outside to inside.

teddydd 2017-08-01 21:54

@jotsonYou have to stay in house for a moment to regenerate energy. I guess this should be explained better :)

barry-p-evans 2017-08-02 00:49

A bit tricky to get the hang of, but awesome art/animation!

dijaguy 2017-08-02 00:56

The concept of the owl having a flying house was really interesting, and well done. The game mechanics are pretty unique, but also intuitive.

My problem with the game is that it felt like luck to be in proximity of something to catch or dodge. I think it would have been good to add a little arrow at the top of the screen to show that "something" is falling from above, then I would line myself up to either catch or dodge.

Good game with lots of atmosphere!

twaldigas 2017-08-02 07:38

Really cool game. I was suprised there is a win condition. Was really happy about that. The mechanics also fit the theme well. You have the energy of the baloon and the energy of the owl. Cool!

Just the falling items seems sometimes too random. Sometimes it is really easy to get wood and other times really hard. Maybe you can adjust that a little.

tbaudon 2017-08-02 13:31

Really nice use of the theme, I like the fact that you have to manage your balloon energy and your own. The end came a bit suddenly though compared to the nice intro ;)

krammetje 2017-08-02 13:36

Cool idea, but it was nearly impossible grabbing debris to put in the furnace.

anglain 2017-08-02 13:59

I liked the concept much, actually. Well done with this! Really nice art also, and "dat water" xD. I also loved the mechanics of flying, it feels really nice. I think the only problem is that the debris falls too fast.

rijnswand 2017-08-02 14:00

Nice idea to apply the theme. It's been fun to play, although a little bit easy.

Those damn bowling balls came out of nowhere! Maybe having the camera a bit further away or the falling objects go down slower would help to give more purpose to your actions, as it is I basically was flying outside until I run out of energy hoping some wood would come close to me.

toonteamj 2017-08-02 14:23

I liked the game, and the artwork was very impressive. However, the debris are falling too quickly to catch. I recommend either decreasing gravity or increasing flight speed.

dankypants 2017-08-02 14:25

I had a similar concept but I think you did it better, great job!

lucien-catonnet 2017-08-02 14:40

The beginning is confusing. Afterwards catching things in flight is tricky/random. But the idea is pretty great, the humor is on point, the graphics are nice. Congratulations :)

galan 2017-08-02 16:00

Fun little game, and I love the goofy setup.

I will echo other's comments about the debris falling to fast. There was no way to react, you just had to hope you caught something. I actually found the best strategy was to perch on the edge of your platform and jump whenever something got close. I guess that *is* rather owl-like though

geck0 2017-08-02 22:08

Good work! cute owl.

ganbaregameskyle 2017-08-02 23:10

I was really weirded out by this game. In a good way?

cnoble 2017-08-03 00:36

I agree with several of the other comments! Good graphics, good atmosphere set up, it was fun to play! Only critique would be - the objects falling seemed just a little too fast to both collect and dodge in order to make it back and recover. I really liked the concept, just a couple tweaks have you have a great game :)

grandtheftmarmot 2017-08-03 21:10

That was a lot of fun! I laughed a lot when the owl's house took off. Unique gameplay mechanics!

ledez 2017-08-03 21:45

Nice game! I love the owl. Art and mechanics are great.

evrim 2017-08-04 11:50

I had so much fun playing this game. The idea is great. It is very smooth play and graphics! So beautiful. Very good game :)

theflyingkeyboard 2017-08-04 15:12

Really awesome and original idea, graphics look very nice. Game has unique and amazing mood. Really nice.

remzo 2017-08-05 12:30

Interesting concept! My only issue was that it seemed almost random which items I would pick up and put into the furnace since they fall so fast and I am pretty slow. The owl is well drawn. Nicely done!

idinakloppstock 2017-08-06 08:44

What a cool game! Already at the beginning I'm really in to the mood with that weird sound - I love it!

caranha 2017-08-06 14:46

I won! I liked the sound!

I felt that the objects fell a bit too fast, so it felt like a matter of luck if I caught something or not. The game would also have been a bit interesting if you added a timer or score so that I can compare how well I did against other people :-)

Thanks for the game!

demi 2017-08-09 12:12

First was too stupid to go inside. Really nice flight animation. Finished it at second try. But loved the Gamemachanic with gathering wood to stay midair.

cliffracerx 2017-08-09 23:12

The graphics are amazing, but the audio could do with some slight tweaks, and the balance is a little wonky; the debris is falling WAY too fast to catch most of the time.

Other than that I have no quibbles; it's shockingly moody for such a basic idea, and it plays fairly smooth. Well done!

davidbyers 2017-08-09 23:14

I really like the concept, very weird but cool. The items were falling way too fast though, it felt like whatever I hit was just luck

ynk 2017-08-11 10:16

Nice game! It was a bit tough to get the items as they are moving super fast comparing to you, it's hard to anticipate where to get the right ones.

mrerdalural 2017-08-11 12:02

Nice game mechanics but the debris fall speed must be more balanced. I wasn't able to grab an object because I choose to. Instead I had to do with wooden pieces that randomly fly towards me.

I liked the game anyway. It has very cool artwork. Thank you for making it!

badly-drawn-rod 2017-08-12 12:59

Ha, that was different! I enjoyed the concept of a geriatric owl living in a house attached to a hot air balloon. I'd have like it a little better if there was some indication of where the next piece of debris might come from, as it seemed a little arbitrary as to whether I got one or not.

The graphics and animation are beautifully done.

quadtree 2017-08-14 06:44

Excellent graphics, and very quirky concept. I did have a little trouble catching the wood, as it fell by so fast. I mostly just ended up getting lucky and grabbing some.

valphera 2017-08-15 11:01

The graphics are really cool and the concept is quite fun and original! I had a little bug though, I fell into the flood and still wasn't killed, I had a wooden branch in my beak if it can help debugging haha! Overall i really liked the mood and the character! So great job:)

mindfungus 2017-08-15 19:41

I survived the flood! Nice job on this one, I liked the being an owl and flying around :D I feel that most of the wood I caught was kind of random, maybe just reducing its fall speed could help out.

rightangel 2017-08-15 20:28

Nice little game, with very interesting mechanics and a nice concept. I liked how you used the "collect and avoid" mechanism when flying. Some tuning in the speed, the frequency and the kind of objects falling in the air could make this game even better.

yuigoto 2017-08-18 06:26

Really different concept, and the game's really challenging too! :D Having to manage the owl's energy, while also fetching the wood and avoiding objects when flying was really a challenge! It also has a great mood, but sometimes the game ended out of nowhere, don't know why, or if it's because I cleared it. :P

The controls are simple, but work really well enough on the game!

Good job there! Nice atmosphere!

superendeg 2017-08-19 11:17

Liked the idea, graphics, strange music and nice cosy owl appartment, but got some problems with difficulty: owl is hard to control and objects fall too fast. Eventually found out that you can fly above baloon to safely land on it in critical moments, that made things easier.
