@death-is-cold, Thanks for the awesome review, especially sharing your perspective on the story!
If we had a few more hours, we would have added more to the gameplay elements and made the environment more interesting (dern!).
@terribly-awesome-games, thanks for playing and I hope you finish! I noticed the getting stuck under the platforms bug too. Thankful it wasn't game-breaking.
I believe the 'A' key tip is if you wanted to use a game pad (Xbox 360 controller).
@cnoble, haha 'dying robots' was going to be our focus for pickups... I'm sad we only got one in. Thanks for all of the affirming feedback!
The concept of the owl having a flying house was really interesting, and well done. The game mechanics are pretty unique, but also intuitive.
My problem with the game is that it felt like luck to be in proximity of something to catch or dodge. I think it would have been good to add a little arrow at the top of the screen to show that "something" is falling from above, then I would line myself up to either catch or dodge.
Good game with lots of atmosphere!
Brilliant! (but difficult)
Epic boss music! Had fun exploring this one, enjoying what you built!
I could see this turning into the kind of game I would sink hours into. Nice interpretation of theme, art style, sountrack and mood!
Had fun with this one! Constant unlocks, enemies and character art/comments kept some momentum behind the progression.
All of these coins and things to buy! Pretty fun game, and I really liked the swirly-animations on the hour glass / items. The countdown of stats was also pretty slick!
Rhymes with "chicken dinner". This game is outstanding! I love the art style, mechanics and overall vibe of the game. Even the menu is very nicely done.
I tried so hard to get will home, so many times, but it takes luck to get across that road with bullies on the other side, and gramps is quite the shot! Great job!
Cute and impressive! Love the cell-shaded characters and silly voice acting. Basic mechanics, but I'd love to see where this game could go... nicely done!
Enjoyed the player animations and concept!
Loved it! The menacing head was amazing, as well as the interpretation of theme and mood.
Sounds like you pulled this off quickly! The enemy diagonal-evade skills make this a tricky challenge!
Impressive production values. This one definitely felt bigger than a game jam. I especially liked the fuzzy player dino and obvious madness happening to my brain. It made me feel like I was a strange creature trying to figure out my own confusing life... like what dinosaurs must have experienced.
I probably missed either the objective, or didn't learn enough strategies, but the game kept crashing when I spam-clicked on the larger green guys, thinking I was maybe attacking them.
It was rewarding to grab a little dude and then realize I could chow it down with a right click.
I'd like to see this game with some more polish and progression, down the road!
Title screen looks promising! I'd love to play it, if it worked on windows. :(
Combination of two simple elements really kept me playing for a while. I probably went up about 10 threat level 1 noses... but couldn't win any of them. Maybe I missed a strategy that was spelled out somewhere. I happened to know almost all the answers to the trivia sections, so I got to feel smart with my EMT-dropout knowledge! Nice job on the game!
Smart design! Reminds me a little bit of lemmings, with the need to be a bit more planned and methodical. Title screen / level select was well made too!
Put the game on itch.io please... before it's too late!
Cool concept! The music was nice, as well as the graphics and comic-vibe. If the music was synced to the rhytm, it would have been much better. As a musician, I probably would have had better luck with the sound off, because I kept wanting to play to the song, not to the timing of falling "notes". I'm sure the syncing would be hard to pull off (not sure I'd want to try). Hopefully you keep working on this game, as I'd love to come back to a more-polished version of it!

Nice graphics, vibe and execution of the theme. Some of those levels were HARD for me to beat (got lucky), but felt pretty rewarding to get through (not that I beat all of them). Nice work!
Yep, great game! I feel like I'm just adding to the noise, but I loved the art, voice acting and game play.
I also really liked the characters in the seats, watching the action. I was imagining exploring the town they live in between battles, so they can tell me I'm not as good as so-and-so, the most-epic slime-slasher. Then I could slowly become their favorite...and like do little quests for them to get their blue feather sword, which does double damage to blue slimes.
While probably not taking my wild dreams seriously, I seriously hope you finish this game so I can add it to my steam library.
Pretty fun! I had a hard time getting past the second level, but enjoyed the art and humor!
Beautiful and well-executed gameplay that nails the theme. Really good music/sounds! It took me a little while to understand what was happening on the cooking menu, but once I got that, I was having fun with this one. Great job!
Fun and smart game design! Great pixel art and "world" feel. The game has a fun and balanced multi-task element to it. If you keep developing it (please) you could probably add some challenge and puzzle'y'ness to integrate the colors/timing/combos more.
I hope I get to play an updated version of this in the future!
(also, thanks for playing and rating/commenting on our game!)
I had fun with what's here! Would like to play this game more, if it was a little further along (sfx would help a lot, plus a way to survive bunny-hat zombies, aside from running away all night).
