Be Tiny, World! by Deozaan 2012-05-14T09:15:00
Thanks to everyone for their feedback. This was my first LD and it was quite a learning experience for me.

@lasagnegames I didn't know what it was, so I just looked up Super Mega Worm. It looks awesome. (c:
The readme file (named "Rename.txt") has incorrect instructions. On top of that, the game won't run. I get the following error message:
"The program can't start because MSVCR120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I, too, bore through the darkness and into the light. At which point I just was returned to the title screen. No indication on if I won or lost or what, so I can't be sure if it was a bug/glitch or if that was the end.
Other than that, nice work!
Game won't run for me. Here's the error I get:
java -Djava.library.path="natives/" -jar wormsim2012.jar

Could not find the main class: ld48_gl.MainLoop. Program will exit.
@LuxPerpetua: You control the swarm. Click the planets to move to them.
I've had one person report that they had to refresh the web version before clicking planets would do anything.
Can't play the game if there's no link to it.
I found a bug that made it really easy. You can always buy upgrades to your towers, even if you don't have enough money. So spend all your money on towers and farms, then when you can't afford any farms, upgrade all your towers.
Did I just send a dog into a giant mouse trap? O_o
I enjoyed this. I managed to get to 301 meters until *I* was struck by a car. The alien just kept merrily strolling away until he was out of sight. Legend says that he's still somewhere out there, walking, even to this day. . .
It looks really great. I'd love to try it but the WebGL doesn't load for me. Any chance of a desktop build for PC?
Good looking game. Very hard to control. Nice take on the theme!
Would have been nice to have mouse or gamepad controls. Also the camera angle sometimes made it difficult to determine the amount of tilt and which direction the bunny would go. I got frustrated on the last level and was about to give up after several tries, but somehow got really lucky and finished it.
Thanks @ everyone so far!
Sorry the "shooty bits" are boring/easy/repetitive. We had plans for upgrades, different kinds of ammo, and attempts to add more balance/challenge but had to scrap a lot to finish on time. :slight_frown:
@Marcenat No, you are not supposed to get stuck on Mission Failed. It should take you back to the trivia section when you fail.
@kilosaurus Do you have any suggestions on how the controls could have been better?
@Dancinoman I think most people find the shooting parts too easy. Once you know the secret, you will think so, too!
@seurimas Oh no! :fearful: There were two categories that were mistakenly disabled during the many times the site went down when I was trying to submit the entry. Humor is enabled now. Please re-cast your vote if you get a chance. :grinning:
@LemonBalmGames There are about 20 questions but the game chooses them entirely randomly so there's a chance you'll get repeats pretty early on.
@Beebo-Studios You're right! The Xerostomia question is marked as having Lupus be the correct answer. It's a classic off-by-one bug due to numbers starting at 0. That's an embarrassing bug for a game called It's Not Lupus!
@dijaguy Check the description (or other comments) for instructions on how to easily win the arcade mode. But once you know the "secret" you'll find it takes the fun from it. :slight_frown:
Hi all, we just released a bugfix edition that fixes various typos and other errors, but doesn't otherwise change gameplay in any way, so it remains true to the original LD41 experience.
