A really fun game. I only got to 104 meters.
I'm happy with my 276 meters. Nice take on the frogger genre :) The graphics look nice and I really like their animations, all fits well together.
Really fun game.
Didn't know you were participating in Ludum Dare.
I watched a few of your Youtube Videos recently and found them both very entertaining and informative.
Keep up the good work.
This is a nice game. Not so easy: 185 m for me... but, where is this alien going without his saucer?
Great game! Nice graphics (I see that the 10-minute trainings helped here haha), I also liked the animations and the ragdoll. Gameplay was fun, you used the theme nicely; music & sfx were very nice. Congrats, you did an amazing job! :D
Made it to 199 meters. Great fun!
257 metres, then car hit alien and bumped him offscreen:( Cool game, the colors are nice to look at, models are simple and nice, music is fitting. I was missing some honking noises from cars.
Cute! I love your music, I wish I could make music that well. Graphics are nice, and the sound it makes when a car hits the alien were somehow really hilarious.
My only problem was that I sometimes couldn't revive the alien, and it didn't feel like there was anything I could do about it. Several times he got stuck on the hood of a car and carried out of the level, and once the paddles didn't work and he died anyway.
Great entry overall, very impressive for 48h!
Hey, I love your videos. The 10 minute blender challenges helped me get *something* out this weekend. This game is great and I like the visuals. Don't forget, E to extrude and S to scale.
Loved the game. The alien is derpy and fun, the shock animation is spot on  Music is also very nice to listen to! Also your videos are very good and we found inspiration in your workflow, so thank you for that!
Great audiovisuals and a thoroughly entertaining game! From seeing the submissions so far, it seems that the theme facilites playing supporting characters in established mechanics, like the frogger here.
But this implementation is great and also is of the more humorous games.
It’s a pretty hilarious retake of Frogger. Love the humor and the animations are nice. Also: **ragdolls**. They make every game shine. Well done 👍
Very nice. Fun little game.
That's a funny game, I scored 124 meters! I love the art!
Good job!
Nice little game! I scored 244m and laughed a couple time when the poor Alien was hurt by multiple cars at onece :p
Always a fan of the ragdoll physics. It was fun trying my best to make progress only to watch the alien die horribly in my tracks. The game did a good job adding randomness to what is normally a game about skill and planning. Well done.
I enjoyed this. I managed to get to 301 meters until *I* was struck by a car. The alien just kept merrily strolling away until he was out of sight. Legend says that he's still somewhere out there, walking, even to this day. . .
I learned how to make low poly speed models in Blender from your youtube channel! Funny game. If I could make one suggestion it would be to make the alien mirror your left and right controls. Without any control over the alien, this game can be quite random!
Wow you nailed it with this one, it's such a good re-invention of the frogger style game, the art and audio perfectly suit it and the ragdoll physics and the stupidity of the alien make it so funny and just the right amount of frustrating to keep me addicted :) - it's amazing when the alien gets flung so high it goes off screen or it gets stuck to the bumper of a lorry and taken off down the road, it made me laugh out loud.
212, thought it was good but I see a lot better has been done! https://imgur.com/JEj8Yit
Man, nice work. This one hits a coherent light-hearted vibe across all the elements and really comes together. The tune is boppin'. The art is cute, appealing, and clear. That crazy alien... I mean the gameplay fits right into the tone, what is that GUY DOING IS HE CRAZY!!!?!?!! And then *whamp* that sound effect when you get hit, oh my.
Controls were really solid, too. Are there discrete stops to the playfield that subtly facilitate standing exactly on the lines where cars won't hit you? If so nice flourish. Only thing gameplay-wise that was feelbad was when the alien got knocked off the screen and I had to attempt a blind ressucitation. That moment felt like it didn't fit into the whole experience.
Oh wait - one other small nit: given the game is played entirely on keyboard, I found myself wishing the keyboard could restart, instead of having to grasp for the mouse each time I lost.
So very nicely done: a classic arcade trope, then a small twist derived directly from the LD theme, executed on-point with art, sound, music, and gameplay. A very compo entry, well done.
(My wife was in the other room, and I guess I was laughing pretty loud, because she shouted "Someone made a good game!")
Listen here, I reached 152 and I thought I did a great job! Then I did read the comments :(
I like it a lot tho! I saw one of your posts in the feed during last weekend and I thought "I have to try this!" and it definitely wasn't the type of game I expected but it was VERY fun!!! The graphics are on point and the music too!
GREAT JOB!
Very funny game! It's so impressing you did this alone in only 48h! i also want to thank you a lot for all those inspiring videos on your youtube channel. I woudln't have been able to do my game without your videos...but i still have some work to reach your level
Very well done and polished game. I know you from youtube! Graphics were great, music and sound effects awesome. I liked the idea a lot! Nice work man.
This was a hoot. Love the feel and the silliness. I can see the 10 minute modelling taking effect!
Great game: kind of random how you can get an alien that dodge all the cars, or one that is pulled off screen by a truck, but it is a part of the fun :-)
Thank you for your youtube video, and 10 minutes challenge: was a great inspiration for me in this Ludum Dare
Very cool game, I like the literal take on the theme, keeping "it" alive. As a full time paramedic, I like the realism of your "resucitation" ;) Also I love the graphics, animations and how that poor creature gets knocked down by those physics, I have to laugh every time I have to revive this little idiot! The only improvements I could think of would be a better glance at the crash site in the beginning (I hardly noticed it at first) and a label reminding you of the button to resucitate. Also the creature sometimes gets stuck at rocks and then dances around them weirdly. Or it gets thrown out of the screen which is sad to watch
By the way, great job on your Youtube videos, I love to watch them ever since I the algorithm your ten cars under my nose for the first time. Very inspiring, great content!
Dang it alien, why won't you revive ME after all I've done for you?
"AWDS to steer". Who writes WASD like that? 0_o
Honestly this is my favorite game of this jam so far. It was fun to play, everything about it fits and it runs really well. It's a great base to what could be a great overall simple title. Well done!
The best game so far, the concept is simple, you start and you already know what you have to do, the music and the sounds are perfect and it's super fun, great job!
Fun to play and actually I found it quite full of humour. It wins in the soound department.
The graphic is excellent, especially the title screen, the fog is awesome. As others have said sometimes the alien get stuck in a car and force a gameover and it feels a bit unfair. The link with the theme is really fun, and the music is great (but on my browser does not loop perfectly). The difficulty curve is great because if you keep playing it you can manage to really get better. Really polished entry overall, great work!
Really fun game! It's super fun, super funny, and is really easy to understand and jump right into. Incredible work!
Really fun game. Specially considering you took less than 48 hours. I came from your YouTube channel, but even knowing your job (from the videos, and they are very good by the way) I came with very low speciations... however, you did it! Very funny game.... make me want to go there and punch that alien in the face! =D
This'd very easily translate to a quick mobile game, definitely keep working on this!
Love the novel taken on the frogger game. Like @dege said, when the alien is dragged off the screen prematurely by the car it feels a little unfair.
Maybe if he bounce back into the screen , so he doesn't go out of play would be cool.
The animation on the little paramedic is nice and snappy, and the variety of vehicles keeps things from feeling repetitive.
Thanks for giving inspiration too to other Dads who have to juggle the chores/ keeping the kids happy with the 48h compo haha.
Very fun crossy endless runner with reanimation. I also had my alien get stuck on trucks -beyond reach to revive it- several times... but the rest is great, very nice low poly graphics and good music, plays well too. Very good!
Okay , this is my new favorite. First time playing I thought it was impossible to win because I had no control over the alien and the car immediately pushed him off screen. After that it worked as intended, the alien landed somewhere where I could get to him. Love the music and sound. Animation and graphics are good. Not sure if it was intentional or not, but the way the walk animation and music syncs it seemed as if the alien was dancing across the roads.
EDIT: Okay, I thought the character looked familiar. I just started following you on YouTube like two days ago!
Anyway, that issue with the alien being knocked off screen has happened to me many times, once when I was at 239 meters! I think you should fix that, maybe have physics turn off for a moment after the car has pushed the alien for a while, so he falls under the wheels? I found some more glitches, If you don't walk at all, apparently the alien will continue past where cars are spawning at fall off the edge of the world. If you follow about a screen behind the alien I think he'll be safe from cars and you can sort of cheese the game. Also I noticed if you walk south you fall off the world forever, and have to reset the game. I was thinking that this shows you're calculating gravity all the time, I think you can save resources by turning on gravity when you get hit but moving 2-dimensionally the rest of the time.
Fit the theme of the jam perfectly. The game play was intuitive and overall pretty easy to play without any necessary instructions. The graphics, sound and music was all done well. You'll probably do well in the scoring. Best to you! :)
This game is very funny. You created so many great looking 3d assets! And the random generated levels make it even more varied. The music matches the walking animations perfectly! My highscore is 240 meters.
ps: i like the 10 min blender videos you make :D
