A pretty good entry. Well made, smooth to play. Very good tutorial.

A pretty good entry. Well made, smooth to play. Very good tutorial.
Very well thought, it's genius !
It's challenging, I finished it after the 8th try.
I know why days are not just 10 seconds now...
Well made, polished, and so !
I don't see the link with 10 seconds.
Red people are all the same ?
It's tiny, but not explained so much.
A pretty neat random generated runner. Even if the link with the theme is weak, there is something cool.
Good job :)
It's a very good game, incredibly funny. We can feel that it's all home made, that sounds authentic !
I just spent my shortest 10 seconds.
It's incredible how it's beautifull and funny and nice and I just 5-stared everything.
This concept is really great ! I love drawing things and casting spells with drawings is something really insane !
The concept is here, drawing is pretty innacurate but I would love to see a game about this released.
We will consider every comment you leave, and make it slightly better. Thanks for all your support.
Should we call this a game ?
But it's terribly fun !
A poor entry, with weird controls (reversed direction when going backwards). We are stuck into walls if we don't stop moving, and monsters are cheating, but the gameplay is here.
I like the fact that we fall through the floor after 10 seconds. A bit cruel.
The story is disturbing. But it's a great shooter !
Nice way to exploit 10 seconds. It's a cute game.
A casual entry, but certainly due to your lack of time, as you said.
Nice, but a bit... repetitive ?
Cool, but not addictive :(
It's not obvious to see how we die at first level.
It's not obvious to see where to shoot the rocket at third level.
At the second stage, I did not realise I just simply won without any other try.
The overall is a bit slow (moves and rocket).
Spending more time to make holes in world than killing stuff. Well done :)
This game is so incredible ! I can't believe that it could be possible. I am so addicted that I gave up my life. It's so wonderful, well made, the main character is very charismatic, and puzzles are very exciting. Thanks for that game, I couldn't expect more from it :)
Well made. Just add some levels or make it procedural, and it would worth it.
bitowl said all :|
Thanks I will update the links right now :)
And the game will also be updated !
I put MediaFire links, so no more trouble looking for the download button :)
It's a cool idea for this theme. But as already said, the physics really needs to gain stability; It's quite frustrating, too many times. And you can grab walls (thanks friction !!). Not sure if it's wanted.
And your game reaaaly needs optimisation.
The camera makes me sick by jumping every time the character leaves the viewport.
It's a cool entry. I enjoyed play it, but some times you can't win, is some kind of frustrating.
But it's well done. Maybe the collisions have to be slightly better.
This is so hardcore, I have not enougth skills and time to finish this game, but it's really well made.
You just need more graphics & sounds.
Is there a way to win ? Why do you have separate Reset and Start button ? It actually make no sense since when you start a game without reseting it, it launches a new timer decreasing the time faster.
You may have to finish your game. I'm fed up to WIN !!!
Maybe show the stick in the hands of the player would be a cool feedback.
It's a good entry, no need to talk about its accomplishment.
Well done, but really needs more graphics and sounds.
Three levels really isn't enough (I only did one more for my game)
It's a cool entry, needs good polish. I can't really handle the jump physics which is far too slow compared to the run speed.
It's kind of... pointless, a bit frustrating.
Collisions and animations are OK. It's a cool entry though.
Simple to play, hard to master. Maybe a bit too simplistic.
The gameplay is a bit too fast. The concept is quite nice, pretty design.
That garden ! It's nice to put rocks around and plant the best flowers. It would be nice if there's a post-postcompo with plant uproot :)
A really nice attempt. It would be cool if you make a post compo.
I am on W8.1 x64. Did you get the latests .Net 4 framework distribuable ? http://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/details.aspx?id=17851
The jumps are sometimes random, but the overall is clean.
I didn't manage to find the connection.
The void. Black. Empty.
I tried the web and Windows version. Both shows black screen.
I didn't figure the connection between the worlds. Anyway nice realisation.
A nice attempt. Pretty much the same thing as mine, but in 2D, and Funnier !
It's really funny ! I want everybody play this game :D
5 stars !
Nice entry, beautiful drawings, and a small minimalist micro-challenging puzzle.
Well done.
I feel now like a real ninja !!
I don't know if the placeholder sounds are definitive...
And yes, I'll come back soon :)
Impressive, brilliant, I love the concept.
A basic shooter. No upgrades.
But the effects and shaders are AWESOME !
It blows my mind.
I just want to know how to restart...
Hm... very interresting and well done. It's distracting and fun.
I really liked playing it.
BFXR sounds are definitely just placeholder sounds.
The sumo is too much sticky IMO.
I love opossums, I love stones, I love flutes and I love buckets. This game is perfect !
Your style is really great. Graphics are so cute :3
A nice rendition of a unique screen game.
Maybe having some waves to pause between in order to buy upgrades would be better.
Playing on Android was fun, it's a well suited game for that kind of device.
Nice game.
A bomber man clone.
The graphics reminds me of SMW2:Yoshi's Island.
The enemies kill you so fast, you can't dodge them
It's a good game though.
I want to toss so much coins, and break the world with them !
A nice rendition of what a coin toss simulator could be.
You should definitely enable by default the music, it is so epic !
I don't know if you completely miss to create a game on gameboy, of if all of his was totally what you wanted.
Anyway making a GB ROM is a true challenge, so I can only congratz you.
On IE11, the sound doesn't stop neither.
The lens effect if nicely done, but it hides a big part of the screen, forcing you to go away to see what's under.
I didn't manage to understand what every color means.
Error 404, your Windows link is broken D:
Graphics are kinda poor, sounds are not so good.
I didn't enjoy the game, it looks too much unfinished to me, it needs more enemies and maps.
But the idea of the black rabbit is nice. Why does he hate so much kids ?
You must really hate reindeers.
My sore is 140.
Works well in IE11.
Oh and I really enjoyed it :)
Nicely done, special mention to level 8. It was an epic boss fight.
Really hard because your rockets explodes on your own rocket explosions, so you can't just spam left click.
I liked the ASCII style. Finished the game in one srtoke.
More people should do games like this.
You can move the camera and your character at the same time, I didn't figure it at the beginning.
The drone screen was a good idea.
I saw snowmen in my life that would run faster than him !
I've see no bugs, it looks polished. nice entry.
The music sounds sometimes a bit weird to me.
WTF is that game !
hm... I found four phones... Wait a minute this room loops on itself.
I don't know what this game is about, but it's well done.
Rooms are well layed out, it's a great puzzle, but quite déjà vu.
Nice graphics and soundtrack.
It's a plateformer, not much more. Sound effects are very loud. And I didn't find why some times my character jumps lower after having picked up a bonus and jumped a couple of times.
A good accomplishment, shacking that screen was fluid and pleasant. Maybe having a clearer goal would be nice.
Nice rendition of a retro game. It reminds me a game called... Ehm, VVVV... something :)
Maybe the scrolling occurs a bit late.
Your soundtracks are fabulous !
The puzzles are quite hard to find I didn't find how to use the I II III buttons.
A very nice game.
You need a lot of skills to play this game. Very original.
Maybe a bit too slow, but that's well done.
Having different controls for switching block like swiping would be even nicer !
You are not alone, there are apps that helps you having OFF time (understand not connected) with gamification giving you a daily score depending on how many times you unlock your phone, the most used applications and your average time session.
That's not forbidden to publish this kind of game on phones, but there's not quite much content to pretend to be a game.
Anyway good realisation.
Side switching seems to be random sometimes, depending on if you are jumping (I think it's not).
Interesting idea.
Hm... Why all the room moves with the crate. I makes me sick.
Anvils can only kill one zombie at a time, even when in groups, it was so frustrating.
Maybe I missed something ?
Hurry up !
That's a phrase I heard constantly in my head when playing it !
My best is 26 :(
The first word I said while seeing the screenshots was "Wow".
This is so nicely done. Gravity Puzzle is well introduced, two more levels should make this game perfect.
The only thing I didn't like is the side switch animation too long to me, it shouldn't be an animation at all.
It's... Ludum Dareception :0
Seriously it's a nice idea, but the interface is not so easy to understand.
Maybe I'll try it again later.
I'm so sad, it did not start at all.
Double ckick: nothing happens, no task in task manager.
I have Java 7 rev.41 installed.
Rules are not so easy to learn, but once you get the thing, it's nice to play :)
Nice entry, good progression curve, kind of addictive.
I didn't find how to not loose money, maybe vodka is not the best drink :0
Graphics are kinda cool
Une tuerie.
Il est super cool, alors que je n'ai pas dƩpassƩ le niveau 3 :0
Vous nous faites rĆŖver !
This is actually a very good game. That's when all the controls are enabled that it starts to be hard. I don't keep mode than 10 seconds with all widgets.
Woah, instant action. Way funnier that it looks. that's really good for 12 hours.
This is a really frustrating experience.
I didn't enjoyed the game experience at all.
The player's hitbox is way oversized, making walks on stairs weird and enemies killing you even if not on the same floor.
1 of 3 spells works on enemies but 2 of 3 can kill you (I've been pushed out of the floor by the broom so many times...).
But I enjoyed the graphics :)
What's wrong with french people, je vous en prie!
A classic shooter, you gain so much HP that there's a point when you don't care if enemies touches you.
You can easily be lost in that maze, there's lots of rooms and stages.
Definitely a good entry.
I prefered spend time on two player support, IA comes after.
You still can control the second player by using arrows and X,C keys.
Unfortunately, two player keyboard is very limited since all keyboards can't press the same number of keys at the same time, and most of the time it's not more than 5-6.
Since majority of players don't have Xbox controller, I'll look for a solution.
The blue guy beats me, but I didn't wanted to continue the battle, so I selected NO, and... I resumed the story :O
That was clever.
The mood is a bit disturbing... Throwing gumballs away is rude, but catching them with the truc feels good.
Nice !
Nice interpretation of the theme. Everything else is well done, that was so amazing.
Wow! Actually I played so many games before making a minute without crashing me. It's so addictive I kept restarting until I see that it was pretty the same ending as when you crush your car. That was fun
So much fun by vandalizing. I love to draw butts!
Yeah, the camera, it's a bit too close.
It really misses basic sounds, but it's quite fun and well made.
Post effects are a bit too much, the running animation is very rigid.
Incredible. Particles makes my computer lag, but still fun!
It seems that throwing objects at people is a common unconventional weapon :)
A nice polished game.
I don't know why people leave their cart in the middle. Maybe because they reaaaly are monsters!
I think of the guardian paid to shout YOU ARE THE MONSTER! Pretty hilarious.
Great game.
So simple but great idea. You did the job very well. Making this a 3D game makes you tiny in this not so difficult maze.
That's a nice game. Mouse selection is really frustrating, and also the fact that all of your creatures are removed from the level when you lose. But that's still a nice game!
Graphics and gamplay are OK.
I didn't found the way to get the keys, just randomized the numbers, but it's totally a game for me. I'll try it later.
However the music, which it very nice, doesn't feel to fit with the mood :|
This could be a great game, but for now it's a bit too much punishing. Controls are slow, you should make the mouse controlling the pads.
Nice graphics and sounds !
Clean, just the kind of game we expect for a Ludum Dare.
The gamepad controls are welcome, I'm just sad that inputs are numeric instead of analogic.
Cute pixelish little game. Level design is damn good for such a gameplay.
I played your game because you have a nice avatar.
Just kidding.
Game is blurry on Windows 10 as well. Maybe a limitation of Direct Draw.
It's a horizontal doodle jump.
Throw living people to make you guilty, that's horrible :o
Pretty fluid, that's nice
Excellent! I really love the mood. Puzzle were challenging, I didn't made the bonus levels.
Your games are great !
That's a great idea, I love those shapes.
Calm and beautiful.
Perfectly made. I love this kind of puzzle game. Very relaxing.
A great entry.
Graphics and sounds are nice and retro.
Physics are basic but OK.
There's no indication that you can wall jump, I though I missed something.
I liked it.
BOTALICIOUS!
So mush graphics *o* that's beautiful.
A great entry with nice controls and solid gameplay. The generation is well done.
Music fits very well the mood. Best game I played so far.
@WERT Studio use your shape shifting abilities! there's always an easier way to pass obstacles. The crouch movement makes you having more surface to land on small surfaces, when jumping makes you thin with less contact surface. I think I failed to teach people those simple principles T_T.
That's a nice game. Well implemented, graphics are nice.
Thanks for the web port.
I'm stuck at a blinking cursor. Pretty embarrassing.
Nah, there's a frame with no text, and suddenly that blinking cursor. The game does not crash, but I'm stuck.
F2 restarts the game and F8 shows the toolbar, not more.
I'm on Windows 10
Fascinating.
I wish I could get it. That's very abstract. Maybe a French version :)?
What a strange game. I went to level -9. It was enough. But I like the concept.
I want to make shaders like that.
Game is beautiful, I died in the anomaly but I'll certainly play it again.
Great entry.
Movements are a bit too rigid and little jumps when you switch shape/color are the only little annoying things.
I envy to have my game being only 2MB ;)
It's great. Pointless but great!
Maybe being able to combine poses instead of having one button per pose would be greater.
I like that kind of games where you turn your brain off.
I had difficulties to jump on that tree!! Nice models and great music. I love the colors, but leaves on trees are very pixelated compared to the rest of the game.
I found your twitter ! :D
Oh that's difficult. Movements are a bit too slow, maybe that's due to the gravity on this planet.
Anyway graphics are nice and simple. Did I mentioned slow controls?
Woah, that's well done. Good mood, nice gameplay, procedurally generated mazes. That's awesome :)
Really neat! It's simple and challenging at the same time.
Yes, good music and nice graphics. The movements are a bit too rigid but I guess you just picked one in the examples. That's way sufficient.
I don't think I found the solution, even in my head :(
That's an interesting game, I didn't managed to pass the second level with the saws :(
You have to be careful at the order you push the buttons, sometimes the robot was turning backward crazy!
I never used brainfuck. I can't tell that anymore :).
All I have to say is: 2412, killed by boredom.
Visuals are great, as much as animations. Unique concept, but I lose really fast.
That's the reason we don't put toilets on unstable structure.
I wonder what kind of asshole can throw rocks at you to see you fall down inside the cabin.
If you read this, here are some spoilers.
The only persons that should enter are employees, the scientist and your boss. And because there's only one scientist, it should only get out once :).
I wanted to introduce the spy mechanic, but it seems everyone has a problem with him.
I didn't have time for sounds or music. I really wanted to add some but I was really short on time. Maybe next time ?
The mechanic of looping is well executed.
Pace is slow. It could be not a problem if the only goal was shoot everything that moves. Music and graphics are not pleasant, but the gun, fence, sleep mechanics are well executed.
I found turning rate quite frustrating. I didn't realized that forcing enemies to crash on the meteor makes you earn points, a good point for a more challenging gameplay than just chasing some barrels in space.
The story of my life.
Solid entry. Puzzles are well designed so there's a unique solution. It deserves more levels. Also Python š
Ne prends pas la peine de m'Ʃcrire en anglais @ramou
@wviper3 you can't make it run indefinitely, you have to constantly refill the rusks. I think I accidentally made a gameplay that is way more great and deep than I expected.
Anyway I'm glad you liked it
Thanks to all of you for playing and rating my game, I didn't expected to have that score in the humor category! It feels so unreal. I really loved making that game and I can't thank you enough for being so kind!
The game is good, it looks nice and runs well. I don't know how you should make the gameplay more challenging but it misses something.
Graphics are OK, but the ship goes a bit too fast it's hard to control precisely. It becomes nearly impossible when there's plenty of bombs. Is there an end to the game? Because I fly so high the stars on the parallax disappeared.
I think rating the game 1 is rude, even when it's complete plagiarism. The game has been made from scratch, innovation is not that good because of that but it's still a good game.
I enjoyed the game after a few games. At first I didn't know you were supposed to handle batteries!! And then I saw those alerts and start thinking "maybe I should consider what the voice said". Finally it wasn't that hard to understand the mechanics and it feels natural. And the ending is abrupt, I didn't understood the first try. My record is 15 treats. I'm not really into voxel art but it feels OK. Ship design and difficulty is good, nice job.
I like the music. IMO gameplay should have been more polished. It's a quirk move to only release a game on Android.
Wow, that's a great game. There's a lot of good ideas here and there. I loved closing the dumb ads, they were so annoying  I managed to finish it after a dozen of tries.
I feel the power! Destroying all the other robots is insane. Leaderboard is a great addition.
It's cute. Not too much for a game like this but there's a bunch of levels, which is nice for a Compo game.
The game don't want to run. There is the Unity logo and then the game window becomes red, that's it. I run it on Win10 64bit.
There's nothing that the power of Funk can't solve!
That was quite funny, but the controls weren't very responsive, at least for the moves. I think it's a downside of procedural animation.
@for-science @nahual Yes that's what I treated in [my blog post here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/bright-vision/i-made-a-vr-game). You'll have all the answers to your questions in this!
I preferred not making it too challenging and add more mood in it. And for the blinking cube... that's the challenging/puzzle part of the game ;)
**Attention:** My game broke while in the rating period. It doesn't start anymore, I'm looking for ways to solve this.
I finally applied a fix. Way too late but it wasn't so obvious to fix.
A-Frame decided to change the way animation works. Since my game fetches ressources on the fly, it just stopped to work when they pushed it.
Now it's working again, and I hope for longer than before.
I like this game. It took me a while before realizing gift preference depends of the color and not just the owner over years.
And I don't know if it's wanted but the date loops back to 1971? I went to 1978 and just gave up. I didn't know you could actually win the game.
So this is how autonomous cars are drive...
Good implementation š, it was funny to play (and wreck).
I didn't really know what I should do, so I randomly hit keys on my keyboard. Eventually the game comes to an end. I guess that's because I hacked some computer. I should play it again and actually take time to read the text because I thought you could loose by not tapping.
**Did I heard VR!** I also made a VR game for this jam. You should definitely try it (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/bright-vision)
Let me put my Rift and try this. I'll rate it tomorrow.
Awesome! I really loved it and I was into it after only a few minutes. It took me about a couple minutes to understand the gameplay. I played three games and they were all greater than the previous. Great execution, good gameplay and balancing, and a very good use of the VR. I hope I have more than 3m² of room. I loved spotting and shooting on leechbots. 5 stars!!! Capture dāĆ©cran (3).png
I was curious about how the game will be, but I feel disappointed.
It felt very repetitive and I think that's because of the click and drag controls. It feels tedious pretty fast and I didn't wanted to know what will be next. After all, the intro text was self explanatory.
I was first septic but then I've been surprised by how fun it was. It's a cool game with nice graphics and sounds, but it felt a bit empty and the physics hen you throw the beer were lunar, too slow for me. It breaks the pace of the game. But I loved making loads of beer.
It's really well made. The only thing is that's tedious to follow the pace at the end, but t's the goal of the game after all.
I made it to 100 reviews and I quit with 2 stars. Good game.
That's completely unexpected but I found it very funny.
Ooops, I just spent 2 hours on this game. It's a very solid and very enjoyable. I went to level 17 and was stuffed with items up to 65 in each stat. Such good games needs great visibility, but I see you're planning to make it a proper game. I'll follow you.
This game was too funny. I was just destroying the environment.
Excellent game, I really enjoyed playing it. It just misses a couple of puzzles. Good graphics, mood and music.
@wie @albertbogunapozo @kramdar @antti-tiihonen @hitchh1k3r Thank you all for all the praise, it comforts me about what I missed. I wanted to put the same amount of work for all the aspects of the game, including: graphics, sounds, music, gamefeel, cutscenes. I admit that the game is pretty short, I wanted to make it longer but time went short. Maybe making the maze part easier would have been a good choice; not all walls should kill, whereas the finish with attrition was what I wanted to achieve, it should have been quicker.
Thank you!
I don't really know what is demisexual. Am I demisexual? I feel lost.
It was a pretty risky twist of the theme, but you managed to make it good to play, well done!
It's nicely done for a FPS made in 48h. I liked the mood, but it misses a bit of ambient sounds.
I'm confused, how to get any good ending. That's the kind of game where I'm unlucky finding the right path, and I regret all I've done to the villagers. I deleted myself, deleted buildings, deleted people, nothing works :(
But it's fabulous!
Very nice use of flock behavior. Straightforward, and kudos for using Defold.
The gameplay is really there, this game is pretty solid, I liked playing it.
Great game, I like Tetris too. Unfortunately I was stuck when I have to choose a piece to sacrifice with only surface pieces. It really misses sound effects, even minimal sounds would have been sufficient.
Sacrifices must be made, literally. I guess that's how you're treated in hell.
Nice take on the theme, the only thing that annoys me is the jump height, way too low in some situations.
It becomes hard too quickly. But it's a nice game, reminds me of a previous I made. Great job!
Even if I never played any Megaman, I felt kinda nostalgic. This is perfectly done, the graphics, the music, story and pace, everything looks mastered. I love the fact that you took time to measure how long it took to you to make the musics, my favorite being Searching for Answers ā¤. I'm definitely looking for your future work! Keep the awesome games!
@ausstein the game really lacks of in-game instructions. It's not clear you're in a car race and that you have to build your own too! I liked making those pixel art, but one thing I would have changed earlier is the color palette. Everything looks blended and it reduces clarity a lot.
@ben-ash got it, not sure if putting an audio source on every item is very efficient š
@jkoftekian I added procedural object placement at each start just two hours before submission, which added a great replayability, but I didn't had enough time to balance difficulty. Also I wanted to spawn a starter pack at the beginning (4 wheels and a chassis), but time went short.
@jupiter-hadley thanks for playing our game, hope you liked it as well as we liked making it.
What a lovely game, the art is super cute! The mechanic is pretty neat and well executed. Bravo!
It was really catching even with my slight colorblind condition. Ended with 86%. I love that kind of games.
I found the controls and the physics pretty unpredictable and that didn't help the global feeling of the game. Music and sounds are ok, graphics are quite nice, I would have played it longer if I wasn't forced to start over every time the first boss hits me.
Is your game published? I can't play it yet... Edit: Ok I guess I checked the game page too early.
Itās a pretty hilarious retake of Frogger. Love the humor and the animations are nice. Also: **ragdolls**. They make every game shine. Well done š
@the-missing-bracket @landerack The enemy doesnāt telegraph his attacks, thatās a feature I would have implemented with more time.
@cowa Iām looking to rebuild it with different settings.
@landerack the game is mainly missing visual and audio feedback. I hope you appreciated the rest of the⦠demo?
@notexplosive it was supposed to be a scorpion. I take that as a⦠compliment?
@chuchuw I animated every node within Godot via the animation node. Their positioning is just discrete instead of continuous so it makes that effect of chained static poses. I animated this at 5fps.
@capital-asterisk sorry for the inconvenience, the game runs pretty low (~90mb) on Win and Mac, the only two systems I can test on so far. Iām not able to test or profile the game under Linux.
Overall this game needs some more time to work on thatās for sure. But at least itās online in time. Thank you for playing my ~~game~~ demo.
Itās very polished and moreover itās pretty close to the reality. I found the third level a bit hard, the two next are just impossible for me because of the speed. I liked it a lot!
Such a great work. It feels very polished in every aspect, sounds, music, drawings, the voice acting is a little gem! I want to make a game with voice acting for so longā¦
Iām very impressed of this piece and theāÆfootprints are very clever, you can easily embody the character without cluttering the visuals. Very relaxing š
Iām following you for quite some time, itās nice to see a fellow French gamedev on this kind of event. Much love to all of you, I hope youāre all doing well.
Itās a solid entry with a good execution. Does fit the theme very well, actually it was quite funny to **try** to not kill his pug.
Well done š
The MacOS version doesnāt want to launch. The same happened to me, it looks like itās an issue with Catalina. You have to find a way to export a .dmg file. Iāll take time to test it later today on my PC.
Itās a really good entry with a good execution on a great topic. I was captivated all along and had failed only once, because I read 1000m instead of 1000km⦠silly me š
The interface was clever and everything was well set with good triggers and nice flow.
Congrats!
The same happens to me, nothing is happening when pressing enter. I had the same problem with my build.
I donāt know if this could be useful to you, but I was using viewports. I have unchecked the _Handle Input Localy_ to make it work, but it has to do with the input system.
Great visuals, gameplay is solid, quite repetitive somewhat, but thereās a great amount of work here. It looks sometimes the animations arenāt triggered well so we get hit while theyāre holding still.
Very interesting. I donāt know what happened exactly but it feels thereās something bigger and youāre only a part of it. It would be nice to get all the choices from all of the first half hundred players.
@chickencastle Iām glad you tried it so early in the period of ratings!
The physics in that game were tricky, lots of bugs have been introduced because the floor is spinning I had to make compromises. But sure it is perfectible.
As for the obstacles you slide under, thereās a bug that prevent them to spawn, they should be in the post-compo version.
@mhm32167 @cg-fred @lombax I also found the game a bit too easy. I could have added more difficulty over time, but some found it a bit harder. Not everyone is equal on playing 3D platformers and I wanted to make my game more accessible.
@adjo @capt-theo @thooom @cedric86 I wanted the camera to not be constantly behind the player and make it a bit more 'dynamic', showing the back or the front depending on if the player was struggling dodging the obstacles. I guess itās more confusing than anything else.
@plasmonic @sop-the-turtle @dans17 Iām glad you liked the game. I also wanted to add more things but also felt the need to focus the gameplay on a single concept. Now Iām almost satisfied of the riding, but the jumping is still a bit off.
@levidsmith That is a total homage to Jet Set Radio š The main character is vastly inspired of Beat and that final boss on the giant vinyl and the devil track still resonates in me. I have been influenced by this game _a bit_.
I was mainly focused on the overall feeling of the game and I think I achieved that by putting the right amount of work on logic, 3D models, animations, sounds and music. Thank you all.
I really loved that game. I āÆmanaged to leave the solar system⦠with only 14 uranium. I guess that doesnāt count.
Super fluid gameplay, the interface is a bit confusing at first but everything feels natural. Sometimes I hadnāt enough water of the first planet, which makes the game almost impossible.
Oh and the amount of art done in that time is huge! Youāre crazy! šøš
A great take of the theme and well executed ššš You got all my support and a new follower.
Wow, the game really shines by itās quality and the atmosphere. I really want to know what comes next like whoās this guy at the end? Why the world did collapse? Special mention to the music which really settles the mood.
Thatās a really great game for a compo! The only thing that is missing is more content. Keep the good work!
The physics are lunar, I can do two wheels just by taking a tight turn. And opponents can smash you like nothing. Because of this I had difficulties to be engaged in the game. Plus the lighting is poor, I couldāt see who was in front of me because the light was too bright in the mirrors. It was nice looking on paper but Iām a bit disappointed by the execution. I know how difficult it can be to tame Physics engines. Kudos for doing this in 3D and making all the models and the music.
Itās a solid entry with clean graphics and a nice music. Well done to the team.
That little hamster was so cute! I felt the controls were OK even if theyāre physics based. It just felt wrong on the slopes on the bed because you have to roll on the side (and not in front) so it becomes very unstable.
Finding carrots was very frustrating to me because on both of the levels I missed a couple on the beginning šµ
Anyway that was still fun, havenāt tried on my phone yet.
I didnāt passed the first wall before the first 7 minutes. I didnāt know you could use momentum with just a bit of a jump. I was holding space bar for jumping, which cuts the momentum. It really needs some work on the controls. Else the graphics are ok and the gravity mechanic well done but a bit slow when rotating.
A nice programing puzzle game, fits the theme and is well executed. I found the graphics a bit rough and the gameplay loop a bit slow, but I assume the node programing and the level design took long to build well. A VERY ok game š deserves all my ratings. Nice compo dude.
I canāt play the game. After the tutorial thereās a cube with 9 empty faces and nothing to do. Thatās so bad, the game looked promising. Waiting for a post-jam version.
Nice and clean game. Thatās great that the source code is available, I didnāt know about this solution for leader board, pretty neat š
Iāve never been so happy to make a perfect play after many attempts. I think I was **very** lucky because the fill rate was slow for the 5 churros.
Anyway very clean and polished, that is so satisfying.
Controls feels smooth, sounds is great, levels introduces the mechanics well. I would totally play more of that game.
@ty @dhim @incal @stuartc @bigbadbison. Thank you for playing, rating and commenting the game so early, I don't know how you found it but you rock!
As for the feedbacks; I agree the font is a bit hard to read, not the best for readability. I may change it for a post compo version. I forgot cover image was a separate field. I fixed that with an artwork I made this morning. The sounds are bare minimum made in only half an hour just before submission. I'm not proud of this š„ The linearity comes from my wish to make it simpler, but having more characters would have made it way more interesting. I made this level like a tutorial.
Post compo version definitely planned š¤©
@charliegray @minibobbo @notexplosive Thank you for playing my game. I think my mission is complete if you find it interesting.
@remusnomos There was much more planned for the story _(more levels)_. Code really takes a lot of time, and instead of coding items, I polished the dialog system which, sincerely, took the majority of the time. The battle system wasnāt really that of a difficulty, thereās no hit test (you can click everywhere on screen), it uses almost the same system as the one I use in the dialog. I just spent more time on feedback and pacing until it felt right, I guess _(I love that stuff)_. Now that my system is settled, I can easily make more levels, until I find new bugsā¦
@peterfiftyfour thatās awesome if the game was beyond your expectations! I think thatās the first game where I actually made the story interesting on paper **and** in gameplay. Itās just a fun thing that came across my mind, and Iām happy with the result.
@ommadawn @crocodiletuesday @mockthebear @shin0nome @cheesepencil @madr
Thank you for having played my game.
@villanelle the font used in the post-compo is [Silver](https://poppyworks.itch.io/silver). The other in the compo is [mono10](https://jdjimenez.itch.io/mono10).
@ynneblack interesting⦠Iām not sure but you may be experiencing some kind of weird godot signal latency š¤. In case of doubt you can still try the standalone version, timings should be more accurate. Actually whatās your computer specs?
@ynneblack okay you didn't understand the game mechanic properly.
When you click on people who are open to discussion, they talk to you and then you can see their relations. The wiggly shadows represents a lack of relation from the person you talked to. You can then bounce on other people's mind and see their own relations too. That's how you can probe Fiona's mind by talking to Louyse (the girl on the right) who knows Fiona very well, then from her mind you can bounce on Fiona's mind, where you can see her inner monster.
Thatās the "Deeper and deeper" twist.
It felt pretty weird and confusing, but after some time, I found the first matching letter and everything became clearā¦
Using stones as marker is actually clever, I didnāt thought of that :open_mouth:
Also I thought you have implemented affine transformations for the textures, but you made that engine/3D all by yourself? Impressiveā¦
Itās a great use of Sparksland. Nice showcase of the game engine.
I played it before anything was explained, but I managed to understand pretty much everything. Basically itās a survival hide and seek where hiders collects resources to build the car that can help them escape.
Also Return is for ingame chat.
Iām pretty excited for whatās coming next.
A jam game, literally.
A solid entry. The progression curve feels surprisingly good.
Fun little arcade game, it feels very polished. That is some quality work here, you probably spent quite some time to balance the difficulty. I really liked the way cookies explode in spinning pieces.
Really great game, although a bit hard to master. Soundtrack and post effects settles the mood of the game so well.
I loved the art of the game, very nice intro. It feels smooth and polished, good points for that.
Very nice, reminds me a lot of «Gris».
Pretty pretty, solid, simple looking but efficient.
I felt bad playing this game, like everything wants to kill me.
Also dialogue happens while the timer runs, it would be nice if it was before the start of the level.
The joy-con drift make me smile. Random bonus is a nice twist on the platformer/race genre.
Nice 3D models, level design is hideous as intended š.
Also, anthropomorphic animals!!!!
That was OK. The obstacles were a bit too much punitive.
Also cats are cool 10 out of 10.
Definitely super juicy. Fast paced, easy to understand and yet quite deep (no pun intended).
I could easily recommend the game even for people who don't know the jam.
Ultra thumbs up for the fantastic soundtrack. It gives some real DOOM vibes.
My personal best score: Capture dāĆ©cran 2021-04-27 124153.png
I made the game crash.
Because it was so intense I played for almost 20 minutes, the game dropped more and more frames until it froze because too many enemies. I didnāt know how many they were but I guess my 5 turrets up to each on 4 levels werenāt for nothing.
Fun: 10/5
Instantly reminds me of Scanner Sombre before seeing it in the credits. I really liked it and you managed to capture all of the aspects including exploration, playing with light and even some spooky moments.
Well done.
Your game is a real time capsule. It can be difficult to tell what our ancestors would have been living. Sometimes I wish I could have more footage of them.
I tried your game.
I only found two endings, death and revenge I guess. I didnāt find the sadness⦠I feel sad for that š¢
Also I felt that the revenge ending is a bit too sluggish, like Iām still confused because I found it four times and have no idea about not triggering it. Also I felt under the ground by walking left instead of right.
Okay I managed to get through wave 5, but the ants started shooting at me And I died. **There are lots of them**, which I found to be cool. It felt overwhelming in a good sense.
It's a solid game with lots of upgrades, but you have to get out of the first place _(@train27 if that's what you missed)_.
Also there are some sort of turrets that you can upgrade but I didn't find what they does. And I earned money, but I don't know howā¦
Anyway a quite great game, despite the lack of originality **which doesnāt removed the fun**, itās just⦠a wave shooter
The level where you have to sneak in the thin space and have to jump without seeing where you are is a bit unfair.
But other than that, I had fun playing your game: gameplay and progression is solid and well executed.
The whole family has been involved for this game, thatās great to see that
The text scrolled a bit fast to me, making text with more than 2 lines hard to read completely.
Aside from that: graphics, music and topic are good, nice job. I was often confused about what to do and when but many already noticed that, so nothing more to share.
GG
Youāve totally sold the game for me already. Mood is awesome.
It however is missing a tutorial for introducing hooks, swinging, recoil, enemies and how to lightening the lamps.
Also... there is no endāÆ? Iām at the limit of the rope and there is nothing under me and no other hook to use.
Ok I just saw your speedrun, this is the end trigger.
Also, I played it with a controller, which feels nice _(thanks Joy2Key)_.
Nice, fun and solid entry. I liked the mechanic of bouncing a lot. I just felt we could use momentum a bit better, like when you bounce for the first time after dropping you make a tiny bounce. The level design looks okay although some parts became really hard quickly. I didnāt managed to finish the first level. And that music: so groovy š
Thank you all for playing my game, I loved how it turned out.
As for the difficulty, some find it easy and others difficult, it was hard to balance, plus the leaderboard made it impossible to make adaptive difficulty.
I made objects spawns less frequently over time and the black hole speed increases as a way to put a cap to the run.
Now I have a lot of games to play.
@spudboy well I guess I overlooked the delta time here š
There's many ways to improve the game but an indicator about how far the black hole is is a great idea, as many suggested.
Yes you pretty much did death stranding in a weekend. It feels empty though but the amount of work to make it this beautiful must be huge!
Controls feels nice but a bit stiff, tree hitbox are oversized, but you deserve the title of "dream game made in a weekend" hands down.
So much cute! I did all the checks.
The mechanic is pretty well executed even if there's a couple flaws but nothing too dramatic.
I really loved the character so I did this
Lizzie.jpg
Nicely done, great homage to the original game and the soundtracks are fabulous!
The progression is built with care, I was earning money just by jumping over barrels but the game rewards you by building structures and killing enemies, which is without doubt way more funnier.
Hilarious and brilliant, great amount of details, super funny and challenging
That was so cool!! I thought this wasnāt an infinite runner and ran for 4845m.āÆthat was intense.
Every aspect is clean, graphics, sounds, music, UI, youāve made a very neat game :ok_hand:
Nice little game that works pretty well  It feels simple but polished, Good job!
\*Sing in bombs*
It really misses a lot of feedback fore sure, but the game idea is nice. Itās funny enough to play and I totally see a more refined version of this game.
Kudos for the opossum.
Thatās nice you made this with Bevy.
Thatās sad there isnāt a lot of levels, I can easily think of many more puzzles but I guess you run short of time.
Hard to follow if you donāt have pen & paper! Iām glad you warned at the beginning.
I liked the mechanic of exploring remote systems to get information. I previously attempted that on another jam but you managed to put a lot of data to check, that makes all the difference.
Some minor SPOILERSāÆahead: ā” I couldnāt get to the so called social network⦠I didnāt find the entry point :( . I managed to get to the three previous entry points though by bruteforcing them but then I was stuck š¤·āāļø. ā¬
Anyway that was intense, I got really scared the first time the system overheated and never let that happen again ever.
A very unsettling experience, it hits right in the spot of disturbing creepiness. The models are as frightening as they are low quality, this game is really good. I was so captivated that at the ending I couldnāt totally relief myself even when there was no apparent threat.
Creepy out of 10.
Very neat :ok_hand: I loved the concept!
Iām not sure what letters to put on the first screen, I tried something but I guess that wasnāt the correct answer.
It would have been much more enjoyable it we werenāt fighting for dislodging the letters, but at least you have an interesting concept.
Great entry for your first participation
This game looks very nice! Feels solid, great art, very polished⦠visually.
It feels like the level design must have been a bit more refined, like thereās game mechanics you have implemented but did not have the time to create levels for them. And I didnāt passed the long pit where you have to cross it with a cage. I died too many times.
Still this feels very clean and ready for more levels to be made :ok_hand:
This game is very cute, loved the graphics. The execution is nice and feels very polished.
I fixed the processID issue, but the checksum? I donāt know why I canāt fix it š¤ Did I missed something?
@horda thatās the sad part about my game. Everything you told, thatās unfinished parts still to be made. I didnāt had the time I wished for the event, so basically itās just a very simple farming simulator in its current state..
As for your questions:
1. The map is for locating resources, specifically tanks of hydrogen. Youāll need them to make more water. The button doesnāt do anything yet, but it will show a position on the map. 2. The `F` button gets you out but this part is not ready to show. You will be able to run on the surface with your rover and fetch the tanks previously found. 3. Ultimately you donāt need the potatoes as much as the oxygen it generates. Thereās no hunger management.
The ultimate goal will be to have enough oxygen when the timer _(you can find it on the monitor)_ ends while being in the escape rocket so you can get back to earth.
Thanks for playing this game , It would have been greater if only I had the time I wanted. But I may get back to it later before the end of the ratings to add a post-compo version, so stay tuned .
Thatās super slick. Interesting to finally see some AI generated images used in games. The events looks well balanced, the mechanic of juggling between harvesting and increasing efficiency is clever.
Great entry!
Super cute art, controls feels great but the landing feels heavy. Not a great challenge, I was never bothered by the critters so I leave them alone.
I loved the characters and the scenery, very charming.
I didnāt know I needed armed pigeons fighting Nazis.
Flight controls feels nice, great work.
Yes, a paper please clone!
The color difference got me every time _(Iām color blind)_.
It felt a bit long⦠I didnāt managed to get to the end after 20 min of play, the game froze right at the Christmas day when checking the list :frowning2: so sad.
Btw good entry, Iām showing some respects for doing this in plain web.
It was very interesting and captivating. Great design, nice graphics and audio, it is in my top games list of this year.
Itās like a reverse God of War game!
The concept was really neat :ok_hand:, itās just sad it wasnāt a bit more polished.
The physics are very wonky, sometimes it worked pretty well and others it fell flat. Until I realized I can walk backward to get more distance while I throw the anvil and have more sling. Also you can leave the anvil at a corner on top of a building and sling yourself from the ground into space.
Well done!
I love the art, the cats are super cute, the gameplay is OK but the pop-ins are super frustrating. The game revolves only around luck and you can finish a level if the pop-ins donāt come in your way.
I like their design at leastā¦
Nice execution, fits the theme quite well, effective graphics, uses historical facts, well implemented. Itās a very solid entry I can easily forget its short length. Goes hard quickly but still managable.
I loved the soundtrack and the ending animation, neat
It reminds me of Luftrausers quite much :eyes:
Congrats for your first game :raised_hands:
Gameplay is a bit lacking. I can see what you wanted to achieve, like a customer wanting a specific race. Did you missed time? Haha⦠Get used to it, it happens every time.
IMHO, movement is not a good mechanic. This could have worked exactly the same without WASD movements but more like a management game with mouse controls.
The art is charming, but maybe having entire characters instead of bodyless heads would make it nicer!
Great job!
Aww the art is so cute!
I liked it quite much, the sprites render very well in 3D.
Great work! :ok_hand:
