Loved the art and audio here! The retro vibe was implemented really well. I could see this being expanded upon with more levels and mini-goals. Great work!

I love this pixel art style!
The art and music is super good! Very cute. Is there a possibility to catch both guys when they come in pairs? Maybe I'm just bad at this haha
Thank you! @pigeonliam Not being able to catch both is actually the intended behaviour. Not even Captain Canary is *that* tough
Really dig the style and the perspective (i think its just the angle) feels really fresh and interesting! I felt so bad for all the animals i failed to save... at least they have parachutes?
@purrseus aw haha that makes me feel better. He's trying his best lol
@Teegan Don't feel bad about them, as they will be saved by Captain Backup (who will be introduced in the sequel).
The art is really cute and somehow reminded me of flipnote studio on ds. I had a hard time moving my character once he was on the rope but still manage to save a few companions!
Love the graphics in this! I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/jL-Xn4X6IAQ
I like this game a lot. The dithering art style looks super nice and the gameplay flow feels very good.
This was interesting! I'll start with critique:
I feel that the most glaring issue is the period during the mode switch — your vehicle is just stuck, button presses do nothing, and it takes a bit too long for the pilot to move from the cockpit to the leg. And after that rescuing a crew member isn't even a challenge, but rescuing two of them at the same time is — and only because the second one will probably fly off the screen in the time it takes you to initiate the rescue mode again.
Also, the missiles felt a bit too fast. Without knowing where they're coming from in advance, and with how tiny and near-invisible they are, avoiding them is about 70% of pure luck, especially when you're near the top or bottom of the screen where their in-frame trajectory is much shorter.
Having said all that, the visuals were really awesome. I liked the design of the ornithopter, and the intensity of the fall with tilted skies and debris and all that — the game is very cinematic, and the mood is great!
Thanks for the ride :)
I liked this game but it didn't feel like there was a real goal other than getting as far as you can
The visuals and audio were amazing!! Have to admit the gameplay wasn't too fun. The scenario is really intense but the maneuvering mechanics are underwhelming tbh
Beautiful art and fun music in this game. Really love the characters too. Only complaint I can even think of is a totally subjective one, but the slightly rotated movement axes make me feel like I'm going to have a stroke.
What a great game! I'm so impressed you put together such a polished game in the time allotted. The graphics are fabulous, the sound and music compliments the gameplay really well. I thought it was a really smart move to make the game slightly rotated, give your game a unique look.
That was so cool!! I thought this wasn’t an infinite runner and ran for 4845m. that was intense.
Every aspect is clean, graphics, sounds, music, UI, you’ve made a very neat game :ok_hand:
This game is great, beautiful idea, outstanding graphics and amazing music :musical_note:
Really very good, the art and the music combine very well and the gameplay is excellent. Congratulations.
Wow! Seems to be a common thread among the comments but the music was great and felt like a perfect match for the gameplay and the art. It was really fun trying to catch crewmates and was cool that it limited your ability to steer. I also enjoyed how one of the guys I picked up ended up holding the plane together by just hanging onto the bird! XD
Beautiful game! I would have added some indicator to the missiles when they are out of the sceen, the feel a bit unfair now, its just matter of luck to not get hit by them.
Well executed, really liked the art style. Thanks!
Lovely art style! Did a lot of dodging, hoping to land safely at some point - but perhaps it is only a 'how far can you go' game? :( Nice diverse gameplay elements - nice lil game!
Really charming art-style, fun little game.
Nice game, the art is very nice and the music as well. Well done
Wooah the art style on this game is superb, not just the sprites, the entire concept, the little guys that sort of represent your health, the small sound they make when they fix the ship, everything adds up and feels just amazing. Solid entry, congrats!!
The game is addictive and suspenseful. Drawing is super, the color perception to the atmosphere hit the spot. Just even nice to look at the picture. There were only two problems - you can not catch 2 birds-mechanics that appear, it is frustrating, and the fact that the captain canary's begins to maneuver poorly, it is difficult to get away from the missiles. It's a pleasure to play.
Interesting game, I liked the mechanics of saving the birds! The graphics are nice, the music is simple, but not bad. Thanks for the game!
