LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Crayon Miners by Charimation 2014-04-30T13:01:00

Nice game! It was fun, but the audio was extremely striking whenever I died, especially as I was always concentrating so hard! Died about 30 times only getting as far as two miners (too tough for me, so I didn't finish, sorry!), but I love the crayon graphics and the music track.

Thanks for the comment so far!
I am planning on implementing objectives to reach an ultimate goal (currently it's just an infinite number chaser). I hadn't considered separating by solar system, that's a great idea that would provide a great natural break between sets of objectives. Cheers!

Hi, thanks for trying. Blinking cursor was mean to represent a spacebar. I will change it to literally say Spacebar when I work on the game again. Blinking arrows mean the arrow keys, and there are numbered buttons on display that are triggered by number keys 1, 2, and 3.

As for Windows 8, I have no Win 8 system to test that on. Works on Windows 10. Had an HTML5 build, but that was stuck at the title screen for no darn reason and I took it down.

Here's a write-up on what we tried to do and how we failed to achieve it on this project: http://ludumdare.com/compo/2016/04/18/so-much-scope-so-little-time/
