Very nice. Even though it's not really a game, it was an great 5 min experience. Nicely self-aware in a humble way. And a great standalone soundtrack!

WOW, that was great fun! And the first fighting game I've seen on LD so far. really lovely fluid mechaincs, my character felt lighter than air, and faster than light. Great job. Make more!
Great fun! And amazingly complete for a LD game.
Interesting game mechanics. Great audio, and really nice looking. A little too easy I think, it didn't seem to get any harder throughout the game and levels. I also think it could have been interesting if the sound made when you collect the note is part of the moelody as opposed to being the same cymbal. Really enjoyed it though, had a nice surreal quality to it.
Great game! And so polished for and LD game. I didn;t find any bugs...but you should make the 'better' version anyway..not sure how much better you could make it. maybe more complex puzzles involving a few different objects.
Great game. really fresh key pressing panic. and nicely polished graphics and animation!
I really enjoyed this. It was quite immersive, and i had the impression that I was under the water in the sub. It was almost meditative with the humming engine and the slow movement.
Brillaint game. Well polished, and a lot of content! A good difficulty level too, and nice variety of bad guys. I really had the feeling of being on a tiny vessel in the Atlantic. Nice physics. Maybe some kind of story would be nice...
DEAD!...DEAD!....DEAD!>>>:D great game. felt super fluid. would be really nice with some audio. i loved the particles!
Loved the music. wasn't too sure what i was doing regarding gameplay. i couldn't seem to die....Very moody/atmospheric.
i'm glad i don't live on the moon, those moles would ruin my lawn! nice game. simple, but addictive. nice popping sound, and errie moon music.
Good quality dungeon shooter. Would have been nice to see some slightly more innovative weapons. Solid game though.
i couldn't get this to work on firefox, kept freezing on loading screen :(
Loved the end of level boss who kept dividing and dividing! Although I couldn't kill him....
wow. after a little confuion as to what the flip was going on i really enjoyed this game. i liked that you couldn't really see the other players, just their trail.
Hi Joe, just wanted to thank you for playing 'save us' and actually completing it, i've left you a longer comment on my page. Thanks again! Philip

Well made, solid game. Pretty much ready for release. I would remove the count down when resuming play though, I had to replay some bits 10 times and waiting 5 seconds each time felt like a long time. I was expecting my choices to have an affect on my environment, rather than being able to go back in time. so by deciding to take one route, or not kill a bad guy but avoid him, would change the level later on. great sound, especially the death/white screen time freeze. and great pixel art too.
OOoooo thats gun is so satisfying to use! Good fun! The only thing that could be improved is the camera jumping as I changed shooting direction, which made me lose my character. Not the most innovative game, but a good hardcore shooter with a quirky introduction.
wow, an amazing amount of content for LD game! abot 10 or 20 levels and a proper menu interface! i think i actually prefered the menu mechanic to the real game - maybe use this for a new game? i wasn't too keen on killing turtles, poor turtles.
Really beautiful looking game, quite amazing for 48hours! it reminded me of Black&White a bit. Keep working on it!
I loved the co-op game mechanic, this concept/idea could be developed into a really interesting exploration puzzle game. It would have been nice if the scuba diver could open gates/unlock areas for the sub to enter.
Really enjoyed this. Once I'd worked out how to play it i was hooked for a few goes. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to kill obth duplicates, or just one of them....
I really enjoyed this. The music adds to the tension, and the game mechanic was quite refreshingly innovative. I may end fearing duplicates in my real life!
There wasn't too much to play, but it was very atmospheric and the darkness added to the tension.
I loved the end of level sound effect! I also enjoyed plaing this game, although I couldn't get past the level with the falling balls so not sure how much of it I saw. Well polished solid game.
I didn't manage to kill any enemies at all, not sure what i was doing wrong. The music is very catchy... da, da daaaa...da, da daaa...
Loved the intro! The cat question ha ha ha! Then the 'fun' button Q - brilliant. Very absurd and charming.got a bit frustrated with level 2 as I kept being told that I couldn't jump from there so i gave up. Liked the hand drawn graphics and sound too.
great music!
Really beautiful looking game, and a charming story to match. Grear dialogue too. I'd like to immersive myself in this world for a few days!
Wow, really stunning visuals. And really finished music too - assuming you've made that during the 48 hours too. The shadows became a bit unpredictable later in the game so I got a bit frustrated and gave up.
nice photos, and the tension was intense. reminded me of dayz: lots of doing nothing hoping for some action :)
i htink maybe you're aware of the lighting problem already, otherwise i think it would have been great fun. i like the 2d characters. reminded me a bit of syndicate (from the 90s).
quite bizarre. which i like! at first i wasn't sure what was going on. if the main character was animated, or at least had a different image for each activity it would be more clear. really like the concept.
Nice concept!
Wow. What a fantastic idea and game, and nicely on theme. It would have been nice to know if I was progressing towards anything, or how many points I was scoring while in-game, but that's me being fussy. Brilliant!

Wow. an intersting experience. and very atmospheric. i think if the text was audio it would work better as i was more keen to watch the beautiful imagery than read the text. beautiful work.
love it!
One of my fave Ludum Dare games so far (and I've played over 50). Really enjoyed the game mechanics, and the unexpected dialogue. Great fun. Could have been a bit longer though, but that's LD for you :D
good fun, with a satisfying feel to it. would have preferred it if there was time limit as i was enjoying growing my school.
Wowzers. the most polished game i've played so far. and nice simple mechanics. could easily be developed into a full game!
Hi Charlotte, thanks for the comments! I enjoyed your game, had me hooked for a while. I htink it would be nice if the tunnel was wider at the start, the getting thinner over time - i died about 10 times during the first few turns. Didn't really know what to do when i reached the first miner so just continued on and then died again. I didn't recognise the artwork? I remember you making different tiles at 8bit? Philip
my ship kept dying from receiving too much damage. not sure aht i was doing wrong. i enjoyed whizzing around the planets though. a shadow would have helped gauge the ships distanmce from the planet i think.
good fun! i wasn't very good, but really wanted to see how far the mutations could go so kept trying.
Hmm, i really liked the intro page and the art style, but for me the gameplay was a bit mindless. i just searched randomly until i found the hole, there didn;t seem to be much skill involved. i also really liked the minimal music. if i were you i would use the art and music and make something a bit more engaging... nicely poilished game though, and no bugs.
I enjoyed playing this, and played about 10 times. Then I managed to get the hang of it and reached 15 miles, but it didn;t seem to be getting any harder so I stopped playing. Avoid the steering wheels!
Innovative mechanics and concept, and nice looking too. Reminds me a bit of Rez on PS2.
web version didn't open from dropbox....?
the most abstract game so far!
Brilliant. I'm still playing it! Really addictive. Great interface, really intuitive. You should probably explain how to zoom out as I didn't realise how big the map was until accidently rolling the middle mouse button.
Very atmospheric with the lighting and audio. and a satisfying shooting sound. it was a bit too dark to see whatr i was doing though. and i would have preferred to be able to kill the enemies with one shot to start with. good foundation for a nice game though!
So what is in the swamp? For some reason I'm reminded of Repo man, the film. Are there some glowey green things in that? Amazing game for 48 hours! I especially liked the sounds.
i guess you're not a fan of russian dolls? especially zombie russian dolls! i couldn't seem to die? my hp was -500... i liked the eerie darkness of the environment, and the lazer gun. maybe the camera could have been further from the player to allow more of the map to be visible?
Not sure what it has to do with the theme, but an intersting game mechanic. A bit like sumo, so you have to puch the other lobster into the sea urchins to slowly kill him. I only played 1p so didn't really get the full experience, but it was nicely polished with amazing character physics/animations.
REally interesting. I liked the fragility of the surface. I would have preferred the ball to move a bit faster, the delay in response to my button pressing became a bit annoying 0 although perhaps that's the challenge, to be ab;e to predict the moves in advance?
Good to see this one finished! REally love the dialogue. I wasn't exactly sure how to be good at the game....but just interacting with the planets was good fun. I htink some sound would really give character to each planet. And as someone else suggested a view of the planets from a distance so that I can have some choice over which planet I meet.
I really enjoyed that! Amazing amount of stroy for a LD project, and well finished. I guess it was more an interactive story than a game. I was totaly engaged for the whole experience. Good script. Nice one!
Nice visual style, but as you mentioned it's very short so not that much to rate. Adding some ambient music would really help I think, as it hads the potential to become very atmospheric.
THAnks for all your comments! So it seems that the timer is really annoying everyone, and the UI is not very easy to read. To keep within the rules of the comp I have adjusted the time limit slightly to give players more of chance to play the game before getting completely flipped off.
Thanks Tobias. You make a good point about using the mouse to restart, hadn't really thought about that. I will implememnt after the comp has finished. Philip
joe40001! I am amazed that you managed to get that far! and you found the glitch too! and you did actually complete the game, the ending was the last piece of text that appears. i did think that the glitch would make a really nice ending, with the two blocks floating in harmony to infinity but as you rightly point out, it would be very hard to time this correctly. thank you for persisting with the game to the end, i've never managed to get that far without giving myself loads more time. you are the best 'save us' player in the world! thanks again! Philip
I thought it was just a standard platformer but then these red shadow characters appeared and made my life a nightmare! Really well made game, with lots of polish. It felt like a finished game actually.
Incredible! What can you make in a week!? Very impressive, a finished game! not very innovative, but a really solid game.
rally beautiful game, with suitable ambient countryside sounds.
Excellent! Really liked the concept. The actual gameplay was pretty standard, although i liked reading the different texts. A refreshingly different game, and a situation that I can relate to very well!
Great and hilarious audio. definitely an unexplored mario avenue. and very apt name!
Loved the sfxs! And the mechanics were quite interesting too.
nice visual style, and addictive gameplay. i got that feeling you have when you arrive in the uk from a sunny country, flying through the clouds into an overcast world. you should sell you solar technology!
