Clever, funny, awesome. Super impressive for doing this in a weekend... Excellent.
Awesome game. Super polished, and good challenging rooms. I thought the difficulty was fine on this. I died a handful of times but I always thought it was my fault, not the game's. I love the art, very well suited, and the music is perfect for the style. Loved the whole game from start to finish.
The pixel art is lovely, and the digging mechanic was fun to work with. I enjoyed the bizarre music too. I did have trouble getting back to the surface though.
Nice job on this!
I like it. Talking to the characters is fun and I liked the diving mechanic. It was a little weird hearing the wind underwater though! Good job on this.
Lots of fun! I loved how it kept mixing it up: really smiling once the hunters and foxes are on the same map.!
Fantastic! Awesome presentation, graphics are great, sfx fit. Very simple, yet gratifying fighting mechanics, I really enjoyed fighting in room 666! And yes, I think it fits the theme perfectly... that ending!
Very cool of you to make a NES game! The art style is slick (I love the palette you chose) and it controls smooth. And I like those fossilized tetrominos in the walls!
Nice. I really enjoyed the spry piano music. Jazzy. Good stuff.
There's the seed of a really fun game here! I had trouble with the hills being too high, but it didn't happen too often. I do like the shifting hill mechanic though. I really like the feel of the graphics the most, there's something very off about the color scheme, the orange water especially. Love it. Nice work!
Cool! Funny and evocative game. I really enjoyed the rustic banjo music, fits super well. I also liked the unintentional humor when I won:
Boss: Well done, well done indeed!
Me: OK.
Anyway, good work on this, had fun.
Cool little game. The jumping was a bit awkward, it kept refusing to let me jump over blocks until I figured out I had to let go of the space bar to do so. Was that intentional? Feels weird, but it's not too bad once you get used to it. Nice job.
Neat! I love the raucous arrow volley, and really dig the art style you used. I was a bit confused by the prayer mechanic but I figured it out eventually.
Fun little game!
Very cool! I really dig the ASCII art and overall style of this. Smooth stuff.
I love twine games, another rad one to add to the list. This was well-written and had a good story. And it stayed funny all the way through, always great. Nice job!
@HybridMind: that's actually the remnant of a ditched game mechanic, interestingly enough. I was going to have seagulls come and bother the diggers, and you'd have to swipe at the... stuff they dropped. Kinda crass now that I think of it. Actually, if you press left or right while digging you'll see I got far enough programming it that they will swipe. But there's no penalty if you don't! I ended up leaving the drop in anyway.
Thank you, and everyone else for the feedback. This is my first LD and it's been awesome.
I'm terrible at these types of games, but I had some fun with this :). Interesting idea. Very nice graphics and animation too!
Loved it :). Cute, funny, a little dark. The art is charming as hell. I loved the gameplay itself. And I liked the ambiguous ending.
P.S. I took your suggestion and put a link to my game soundtrack on my entry page. Thanks for stopping by.
Fun little platformer! Neat for a first run with a new engine. I figure the character art is a stand-in because of the different colored limbs (for animation) but I like how he looks anyway!
Nice game! I like the tradeoff between using your siren and having breath... good design. The art is really impressive too.
Aww, cute fishy. Simple, but pretty, art, and the music was nice and mellow -- it really fit the mood of the game. Good work on this!
This is so fun, I'm a sucker for these kinds of games. The bucket's a fun nod to Mario and Wario! I like the minimal art style/palette too.
I never in a million years thought I'd see a Residents-themed game here. You did a great job getting the mood of those albums across, and especially good at bringing over the serious class/xenophobia themes to the game, but in a subdued way. I can only imagine what this is like to someone unfamiliar with the source material!
I love the atari vibe to it all. I did have quite a bit of trouble getting the notes timed right, and I haven't beat the game (yet).
All in all great work, I loved it.
Like a square jawbreaker, the main player ;) . I liked this for what it was! It's like a single screen bullet-hell shooter.
Fun puzzles. Too bad I'm not very good at puzzle games! Nice interweaving of story/setting in between puzzles too. And I really enjoyed the NES music, volume was fine for me.
Fun. I like the controls, the buoyant feel to the ships especially. It's kinda hard to see the HUD past a certain depth, but not too big a deal. Nice game.
Wow, very interesting take on the theme. Very cool console mechanic, I enjoyed messing around with the different variables. Graphics really reflect the debug-world you're in. Very good work, I'm going to play this some more later!
Funny prologue. :) Cool little shooter, I liked the feel of zapping monsters in this... those guts that jump up out of them!
Fun little test. I couldn't beat the enemy once he started shooting projectiles in all directions! I liked the platform-breaking mechanic. Either way, good job so far.
Artistic, minimal... I like it. Especially the super lo-res graphics, they were done very well. I will admit it took me quite a while to even realize what I was controlling :). Lovely game.
Cute graphics, and an interesting mechanic. Unfortunately, it was hard for me to understand what I could and couldn't do a lot of the time. But I'm not very good at puzzle games so take that with a grain of salt! Good work on this.
I couldn't figure out how to reliably damage the Hitler heads... but this is kinda great? Really funny, in a super distasteful (by that I mean good) way. I will say also: nice, um, stretchy dick physics. Never thought I'd say that sentence.
Funny game! Didn't know the radio was trying to help me out at first. I liked the storybook graphics and the unusual setting. Dying is totally worth it too!
Hehe, great. Love the rave effect in the background when I get a certain powerup -- I'm not sure what it does! Cool interpretation of the theme, I like all of the metal related sfx, and it was fun getting all the way to the top. Nice one.
This was pretty cool. I liked how your clones set off each other, keeping you playing strategically without spamming. Pretty fun to play :)
Wow, this was great. Love the frantic pace, the shaky camera, the feel, the humor, the graphics, the pounding music -- everything. Really polished. I made it to level 25 and couldn't get it, but I'm gonna give it another go soon!
Wow, this was cool! Really creative idea and fun puzzles throughout. And the ramerate was fine for me! I liked the cute, cube-people designs and all the Gordon Freemans scattered throughout :)
I could never kill a monster, no matter how many times I hit him! Then I read I had to charge -- still nothing. :( Oh well.
*tries again*
Oh I did it! I thought charge meant charging up to swing or something, not charging at an enemy, haha!
Awesome. I'm so happy to have been able to play as HAL 9000. Love the humor -- quoting Forrest Gump for debate points! -- and the fast-paced "solve the puzzle" mechanic. Graphics were nice and chunky too. Nice job.
Very sweet and creative spin on shooters. I like how you can hear kids playing in the background: it really puts you there, in the classroom, just doodling on the board in your own world. Good job.
I didn't really get it, but I had fun seeing what I could interact with. My favorite was getting the cloud to rain on 'em all! :)
Holy moly this is impressive. Love the fluid animation, the kirby-esque music, the main crayon mechanic -- everything. Super cool and inspiring. Great job!
Clever take on the theme... managing your timeline and blocking those haters! I like the chunky gameboy graphics too.
Hehe, what a game. Definitely an unconventional weapon. I'm digging the drum-n-bass funk music, and I really liked how smooth the climbing mechanic feels. Nice one.
I like (Almost) Tim Schafer's quote! Anyway, I think this is a solid shot. The main mechanic is cool and works pretty well. (I also liked the fact that if I died while bending time, the game over message shook -- It was like the game was screaming at me!)
At first I thought this would be more comedic due to the sketch visuals, but it's almost haunting in a way. I think it's the sirens blaring, and the sense of reality that comes from using NWS alerts to show gameplay status. Really well thought out. Well done.
Wow. This is fantastic. I love the adventure game feel combined with the gun play action. Looks great, plays great... it would be impressive if you made this in a week. Even more impressive that you made it in a weekend!
This was funner than I expected! I got really competitive with myself after a few words. :) I got stuck in the 20s, unfortunately, but I had a lot of fun. Good job.
It took me, like, ten minutes to beat the game -- or so I thought. That was only the first level?! :) Anyway, this was really fun. The graphics are great, and there's a lot of polish. For example, I really like how bouncy and crisp the menus feel! The only nitpick I have is it wasn't clear I had to let go of the attack button to actually use it. I died five or six times before I realized. But that's not a big deal. Good game!
Muahaha >:D -- revenge! But now I feel bad. This was a really cute, complete game. I had a lot of fun playing. Good job!
Very cool. I like the minimal art style and the fitting music. I really liked the "mouse-over something" mechanic. Really cool idea instead of just having every interact-able item spelled out. The protagonist's smug attitude was especially funny.
This feels like an old-school arcade game. Like Joust-era stuff. The sfx are great (I like the blippy meow when you clear a level). Fun little game.
This game is haaard! For me anyway. I like the idea, it's an interesting mechanic to set up all of the trajectories before they all let go simultaneously. And I love the cheesy MIDI electric guitar music!
Haha! I like it. Even though it's short, it has a lot of polish. I like the crunchy soundfx and the strange things the person on the monitor says!
Whoa, I love this. The art style has a lot of character and looks great. Very C64-ish, kinda? The strange sfx contribute too. I like the aesthetic of this a lot. Multiple endings too? Those epilogues are great.
Hm, I didn't really get what I was doing. But I liked how you told a story through images, and I really liked the clean, desaturated art style. I'm gonna give it another try.
Unique mechanic. I like the attention to detail -- the mini-map is helpful and makes the game a lot less frustrating once you get to the bigger levels. It got pretty hard for me once I got to the Garden area, but I had fun with this!
This was great. I like the protagonist's throwing animation. At first I thought this was too easy, THEN IT REALLY GOT DIFFICULT! :) By the end the enemies form a huge conga line and I just spammed the keys and clicked like mad.
Wow this was really cool! I love the tree mechanic. I started gaming the system by jumping off trees while turning them back into seeds. I really love the animations, Sir Sprout looks so squishy and happy when he jumps! Fun level design too: I was sad when it was over.
I didn't get the ending! I tried clicking everywhere... or did it just mean closing the tab? Cool little platformer though, I liked how it was just simple and atmospheric, not really worrying about enemies, just getting to your destination.
This was neat! I liked the bongo music, and throwing the spears was surprisingly fun! I made it all the way to the end and had fun the whole way.
That's a really cool idea for a mechanic! Despite being so short and more of a demo, I dug the gloomy moonlit mood and the silhouette art. More forms and levels and you've got yourself a winner. Nice job.
Wow, really fun game! Played through the whole thing. I liked the chilled out blippy music, the quirky setup, and I really liked the main mechanic! It felt good to float around with a hairdryer! And, it felt good to help out all of those bad-hair-day victims. :)
An RPG for LD? That's ambitious! I like the sparse storytelling here, the graphics are also nice -- they fit the mood well. Played till the end. Good job.
I just found out I'm terrible at rhythm games! This was a cool little game. I'm really impressed that you had the time to program all this AND write two songs. I like the second one best!
Whoa, I love the music in this. It's like Sanford and Son, but underwater... Sanford and Sub..? I like the simple graphics, it makes this kind of game less intimidating for me. :) I wasn't really sure what to do, but I think that's just my inexperience with simulation games. Nice job.
This was wacky! I liked all of the different music stations -- the reggae was the best one for me. I wasn't really sure how to tell whether I was being effective or not, but I had fun with it. Good job.
(Also: Whoa! The game I came up with is really similar to yours in story, yet different!)
Nice! I really liked the music -- definitely got some Morricone vibes in the first level. Interesting take on the theme too.
Aww, I was having fun and then it ended! :) I liked playing with the hammer and setting up for the boomerang back. Fun.
Love the storybook characters combined with the photograph backgrounds. Makes for a unique visual feel. I liked the decision to go with little scenes with different mechanics, it kept things fresh throughout. I died on the banana-car bit and had to start over! I'm going to try to beat it again.
Aw, I tried it like 5 different times and could never beat it. :( But this is really interesting. I like the sparse storytelling, the clash between the dark foreboding and the bright pixel graphics, the way the music syncs up with the time you have left. Very cool game.
Cuuute. I love the graphics -- the boys flying towards you with their confession notes in hand are hilarious. The music was fitting too: kinda calm but kinda frantic.
I can't believe I'm laying poop in a blind man's path in a game. This is incredible in a way. Either way I'm laughing! I really liked the pixel art here, looks really crisp and colorful.
Hehe. Unconventional for sure. Pretty fun for what it is, and I loved seeing the gulls take the shark away. Really cool graphics too -- I like the shark's detail.
Haha, flailing round bigger and bigger fish was great! The art was really nice and the main swordplay mechanic has a lot of potential. Nice one.
Haha, great idea. I gave the right answer (thus failing the level) like 4 times in a row without even trying. Now I wish the game was about giving the right answer! I liked the graphics a lot, all of the little animations specifically, and the humor of these aliens' guugle searches. Nice job.
This is super hard! I could never fill up my gauge even halfway. But it's a cool concept, and it's fun to play even though I'm super bad at it. I like the moon sprite too :) Good one.
Wow, really nice. Feels really good to move around, and the story looks to be off to an interesting start. You should continue this!
Love all of the poses the soccer player's got, and the way he travels to the ball just looks cool. Really fun to just play around with the mechanic. I don't think I saw any other characters though, and I played for a while. Still, fun stuff!
What a cool idea! It felt really good getting those dogs to slip on the buffed floors. I liked the George Lucas-style opening too ;)
The tension is palpable. As the cat slowly, all too slowly, fills the screen, vibrating and jostling, I keep thinking, "it's gonna happen soon, right? I don't know what for sure, but something's gotta give, right?" It's good stuff.
Also, I let out a laugh at the start of each try -- the petting hand darting quickly upwards off the screen. Like the owner has been attempting to pet the cat before you even got there. This was great.
This game is sooo stylish. Love the swooshing line animations, the organic sounds -- especially that bucket sound when you fall in a hole, or the ratcheting gear sound when you rewind. Well paced introduction of mechanics too. Made it all the way to the end! Very fun.
Super fun! Love the aesthetics and the simple bleep sfx. I needed a reset button once: for some reason the ball lost all inertia and lay limp on the ground. I dunno how that happened. Either way, this feels really good to play. Good job!
Nice! Excellent graphics and subtle, poignant music. Especially love the cute monitor face and its expressions. Thumbs up on leading the player first by restricting options and then lifting them. Smart. Good job on this.
This is cute! I love the voiced sound effects and the jaunty jungle-y music. But this is seriously ambitious. Pokemon-style battles? Wow. But why is evolution so unfair? I keep flattening out into a surfboard more and more with each pass! This game's really cool.
One of the most polished I've played so far! Great art and mechanics, and I'm enamored with this little ragtime tune. But I'm really a fan of the toy-piano version that comes in when you're not lit. Awesome musically, and great little design choice. I'm proud of the 40 seconds I managed after enough tries. The key is lowering both sides in the right situations! I think?
This was lovely. Really good audio/visual design -- the soft billowing tree foliage and the woody kalimba notes when you grow a tree is really great. The only thing I would suggest is the player's walking speed seems a bit too fast, considering everything else about the game encourages patience and calmness. Nitpicking, I know.
I really loved this game. One of my favorites I've played so far.
Enchanting, artful. Loved the breathing synth music and minimalistic art style -- left a lot to the imagination in the best way possible. Good work.
Holy moly, the simple square character did not prepare me for the action! This was cool. Love the droning chant music and the boss design. Good one.
Ahh. This feels good. I love the simplicity and the plucked string sound. Only suggestion is that when the game starts, the countdown string sound gets cut off abruptly and breaks the flow a tiny bit. I'm nitpicking. :) Good job on this, and reading that it will be playable by blind people is very cool!
Nice and simple, yet it kept me busy for a while. I like the minimal visual style -- it feels 'official'' -- like I'm actually taking a test on coordination for some agency. Neat!
This is really charming. It's fun spinning loop-de-loops in the sun beams <3 I like the art style and the simple music fits well. Good job on this!
Could not beat level 10! That said the bouncing and growing mechanic is nice. I like the art and the music fits very well... sounds prehistoric and primitive. Good one.
This is funny... and kinda grim! I like the sleek visuals and the way the brewing process plays out. I like toppling cups! I'd love to see this with some barista sounds -- some gurgling, some splashing, some hissing steam sounds -- to heighten the experience.
Nice! It's like a chilled-out, relaxing Gradius. I enjoyed the ambient music and art. It just takes you to the bottom of the ocean. Really calming to play.
Haha! This was pretty funny, if a little cynical. I got what I deserved. Laughed out loud at the level-up screen. I was actually somewhat considering my options of what to assign points to... and then I see the levels skyrocketing in ridiculous amounts! And I love that little level-up jig. All the music, actually.
Whoa. This is weird. Good-weird. The spareness, the encroaching pitch-black, the trippy warping center. And that never-ending screech sound. It conjures up a tangible mood, a little unsettling, even. I don't know if that was the intent but I liked it.
This got more and more fun as it progressed! Somewhere around the halfway point I started trying to beat each room as quickly as possible, and I did pretty well except for the red snake rooms. The art isn't stellar but that's okay. Also, my mind was blown when the screen scrolled in that ONE ROOM in the game! :> Good job on this, especially for five hours.
Super cute! I love the evocative music and charming graphics. But I love, love, LOVE the character voices! I'm a sucker for that game gibberish, like from Zelda or Animal Crossing. Lots of fun details in this, and I made it to the end after enough tries. Stay cool!
Wow! This is fun. Slashing wild boars and planting my crops -- nice. Overall this is super-duper polished. The artwork specifically is stunning and great music. Good stuff!
This game makes me feel dumb :) I keep taking wrong turns because I confuse myself and don't think relative to the bot! That's on me though. I like how this looks, some sound and music and this could get really cool. Nice job on this!
Love this so much. All of the really entertaining stations made me not want to hit the button -- just keep listening. Very unique. FRUP grows ever greater, indeed.
Touching little story :). I loved the art. The minimal organic style is very fitting and emotionally resonant. This made me feel something! Thanks for sharing~
Mood and graphics definitely stand out. It's fun to just coast along the surface pulling levers and listening to the woody, percussive music. I wasn't sure what tilting the craft did, but I tilted it too much and flew up off-screen for a bit! Good job on this, it's nice and relaxing.
This was charming :) I like the cheesy pitched-down voices -- very '90s! I didn't really understand when i was controlling the square size but other than that it plays fine. Good work on this.
Um, whoa. I love this so much. One of the best I've played so far -- I was smiling all the way to the end. This is what I'm talking about: grooving jazz bass... untold secrets... a feeling of deep remorse for a cactus. Good times :). I'm holding on to this game to play again!
Relaxing... I couldn't get a single firework at first, until I slowed down my drawing. With some chilled-out music this would be even better. Good job.
Prejudging by the name, this was surprisingly soothing. Casting lines out to the relaxing piano score is wonderfully pleasant. And, best of all, I can finally have my revenge against those damn Cheep-cheeps. Aaaah. Feel the relaxation wash over you.
This was surprisingly fun for a while. I enjoyed repeatedly tapping left and right to soar upward, then just let gravity do the work and dive-stab right into to something. The rough, solid-color art style and silence leaves a strange taste. Interesting.
Huh! I never thought I'd play a game with such a prominent phallic allegory. That weird-as-hell synth music and crude art style really sets a strange mood too. It feels like a warioware game, which I hope is taken as a compliment!
Does what it says on the tin! Holy hell does that conveyor belt start shoveling food at you fast after a while. All of the cat sprites getting fatter were great, and the cutesy uke/xylophone music was fitting in an odd way. Cute game!
You really thought of everything, theme-wise! Interesting idea, a lot harder than I thought it would be -- I think I got one well-sized tie in my first go-round. I love the image of a tie coming out, it's like an ice cream nozzle.
This was cool, and super polished! Slick visuals and gameplay. Love the funky synth jam -- really great music. Good work!
This is really fun. Love the slick animations and that slide dash -- sliding in air is especially fun. And the melodramatic orchestra music set against the goofy enemies and odd concept is extra fun. I made it to the 7000s!
What a strange, creative concept! I had some trouble controlling it but neat gameplay idea. I never could figure out how to stop the paperclip from zapping me, but it was fun adding blocks and jumping on 'em.
This is great. Love shooting left and right, careening and bouncing across the screen like a madman. Charming pixel visuals -- and the exploding gibs effect when people die is icing on the cake. Good stuff!
Cool proof of concept! I can't even begin to think how an endless runner is programmed. I enjoyed the push-pull of the phase states, though I found it hard to last much time. Some of the jumps are really tough. This is neat to play.
Whoa, this is great. Once you find a rhythm and can start queuing up actions ahead of time it feels good. It's just super hard to multitask it! For me, anyway. I really like the art and simple chipmusic too. Good one!
Ooh, tricky! Made it to the 7000s though. This was confusing in a fun way -- trying to keep your mind on both avatars while dodging obstacles is tough and satisfying. The synth chip track keeps the action mood going, though I found it a little hard edged. Maybe roll off some of the high frequencies? That's a minor complaint though. This was fun!
I think the title's good! It was fun learning how to control the missiles well. I like swerving around a UFO, aiming at it from above, and slamming both blasters on and smashing into it! With some retro sound and music this wouldn't be out of place in an arcade. Good job.
This was cool! Art's good, beat's good, and loved that scratches stood in for words. I now know how precarious freestyling can be.
Cool mechanic! It's fun changing forms and trying to dodge stuff. The camera is a bit too shaky when you're flying and it's moving up and down, but it's nothing too bad. The graphics are nice and evocative -- I like the darkness punctuated by torches. And the baroque-y organ is a nice touch, very Dracula!
That title :> I loved this. Your use of audio is awesome, all of the soundscapes really put you there. I felt stuh-ressed in the office, but going to my own Walden... ahh. Simple game, but it's focused and cynical and warm, and has something to say. Great job.
This is so good. I love the ambiance -- the whispering wind and snowy passages -- it really sells itself as a tundra.
And I'm incredibly impressed with how clever you were at getting the player to choose his settings in-game. Good one. Gonna keep exploring. :)
"BZZT - Defending the Constitution." Now that's a funny game! I didn't realize your could infinitely jump for a while -- bug or feature? I like the weird, offbeat vibe this has, it reminds me Toejam and Earl, tone-wise. The strange upbeat blues music accompanying the rampage seals the deal. Good job.
Aww, this is wonderful. I love the little details -- the clock ticking away in back, the different speech sound patterns of the interviewers. Fun game. The only thing I didn't like were the math questions! :)
This drew me in. The command center radio chatter made this feel real and important. So much so that I got really nervous landing! Relieved that I succeeded. Super minimal, but effective through well-chosen detail. Awesome.
Stripped-down fun! Kept trying to go farther each time, though I never made it into the 300s. The magnet powerup's my fav, slinging coins towards me. The art really stands out -- love those sleek and chunky pixels :). With the addition of some funky music you'd really seal the deal. Good work.
Cool! I enjoyed the writing in the intro scene. Lots of personality. The art was very slick too. It was cool seeing the look of Tanya's different ages and the oddball enemy designs. Music was unexpectedly funky, but I dug it. I like the push/pull of health vs power. This was fun, good work.
Cuuute. Unique idea for a game. This was surprisingly challenging, though on further reflection it might be 'cause I never learned the male/female symbols that well, so I was constantly screwing up. I like the simple cartoon style too. Good game!
Unique idea, giving hope to these downtrodden rectangles. I really like that rgb pixel effect too, even if they were a bit too strong for my eyes.
Very cool! The graphics are cute, love the island rising up effect, and the mechanics, although a bit tough, were fun. I liked the challenge, though I could not get past the two pink guys side by side. I'll try again later! Good one.
Had fun getting as far as I could! I like the fluorescent, washed out pixel art. Interesting look. Also, even though the variety is neat, I wished it always rained in the game- -- the rain ambiance really does a lot for the game, sound-wise. Or maybe have music in the sunny sections. Good job on this.
Hehe, this was fun flipping that potato around. And Christmas mode: omigosh! How come the potato won't flip in xmas mode? I guess that hat's too good to mess up, huh. :) I can tell you had fun making this! Good job.
Love the aesthetic: the symbol design, monster design, the otherworldly sounds of summoning. Hell, even the health icon -- that jittery, Geiger-counter of a heart is resonant and deep in a way. The human heart is irrational and fragile but can be forceful and unflinching in the face of a monstrosity -- I'm overthinking things. But that's what I loved about this game: it left so much to the imagination while seeding it with well-chosen details and LET me overthink it. Lovely.
Love the super-retro aesthetic! Little details like the screen noise and CRT look are great. Only thing I'd say is it should speed up faster. It gets pretty exciting once it's really fast but it takes a long while to get there. Overall though, this was good. Nice job.
Best game over screen! This is a really interesting mechanic, if a little confusing at first. It's fun cutting paths across the sky in short bursts. If I had to say something negative: the splitting sound got pretty grating after a while. But that's an easy fix. Good job on this.
You really committed to the 'no going back'! It was frustrating but in a good way. Especially those coins that you just HAVE to know are there before you reach them -- I was shaking my fist while smiling. Good one.
I love it. Cute art and fun, if a little on the hard side. I really like the abstractness of floating islands hovering and swaying in the breeze. My favorite thing is how after every move the percussion fills that get longer and more complex. Good little game!
I like the arcade aesthetic. Bright simple colors and simple rules. And good job finishing even without motivation, I know the feeling! That's awesome.
And I tried both 1-player and 2-player (by myself) and both were fun in their own way. Then I realized friendly fire existed and it added a different challenge, in a way ;)
Goofy game :). I like how this feels -- zipping back and forth is fun, and I like the weird enemies. It'd be cool if there were more reactions to bouncing into things. Like super bouncy walls and no bounce walls, stuff like that. Maybe for a future version? Good job on this.
This is a really neat idea. I love how it looks. Diving your ships beneath the asteroids is neat, and that combo-skull attack is awesome! I have no idea how to reproduce it though, it just happens sometimes. Add some sounds and music and this would be a pretty sweet little game. Good job.
Simple, but it does the trick. The platform mechanic is interesting, though the jumping was difficult to control, especially a few levels in. There was an odd shakiness to the picture for some reason, not sure if that's just me but I thought I'd mention it. Any, good work!
Really cool! Love the little details -- the cube spinning faster and faster, the shadowy figures. Art is great, and the music was fine, especially if you're not a musician! But I really love the sounds. Especially that gong sound when you're charging. Good work.
The name :). This was neat! It has the potential to be really hectic! With more enemy movement, thumping music, and maybe some death blossoms to push it to eleven. Good job on this!
What a cute, feel-good game! It's unclear where to go at first but I figured it out eventually. That great music though... it puts a huge smile on my face :) Good job.
Funny. I wish you restarted back where you died, I made it to FF7 and let a single slime past... I wanted to see all of the games! Oh well. I like the midi/soundfont renditions of the different game themes, it gave a shlock-y, lopsided flavor to them and sold the comedy. Good work.
Simple little game, cute. I would have liked to control it with the arrow keys, but I guess this makes it more challenging! Like the chunky pixel art and soundfx.
So difficult!! Very cool game. Love the two-button snake clone. Also, even though they're blocky pixel hands, the dismemberment is really gruesome and gets to me. It might be the suddenness, but I wince every time. Nice work.
Yeah, super unforgiving! To get out of the first area you can't get hit by pretty much anything. Frustrating, but it does seem like what you're going for. I do like the idea of growing being an impediment though. Really unique. Good job.
I was surprised how tense holding two buttons could be! Maybe it's the battle music. The graphics were ok, and the music was nice. Only thing I'd say is it'd be nice to have a sound effect when buying something -- unless I was watching my money I wasn't sure if I bought something or not. Otherwise, pretty fun! Unfortunately I died right at the end! Good work on this.
Love the scanline raster look. The gameplay was interesting too -- trying to skid to your next location while rotating and shooting a target behind you feels good. And the shopkeep got a laugh out of me!
Neat concept. I found myself really mulling over the card choices and loved being awarded a new card on each room clear. Interesting to be building a deck as you play. Minimalistic pixel graphics do the trick. Some sound and music would really add a lot too! Good job.
Holy smokes are you ambitious. Assembly! Week's experience! How?
Even though this is super simple, it's really astounding you completed a gameboy game in 2 days. I enjoy the simple graphics, they look really clean and sleek, especially considering the gameboy restrictions. Good job.
Cute! Very relaxing guiding this little plant through the clouds, though a little less relaxing once those missiles get involved! Love the dynamic music too -- though the first time I heard the missile bit I jumped! Good job.
This is a neat idea. I found it really hard to predict the arrow trajectory most times -- maybe it's that the arrow always points the same way. The steel drum / flute music was an odd choice of instruments, but strangely catchy.
Even though the gameplay is super simple, this oozes personality! Love the weird monster blocks. Only thing I'd say is the text is super hard to read but that's not a big deal. Good job.
Whoa, very unique. Love the ambiance and intuitive controls. Beautifully simple.
Maybe it's just me but I found the organ ratings at the end screen a bit out of place. A little macabre if you think about it too long.
Hehe, this is cool. Had fun burying the crane in the ball pit and grabbing as much as I could. Unfortunately the game crashed when I was halfway to freedom. Love the whirring sounds and off-kilter farty synth music. Very warioware :>
Super fun! I loved the precision required and how well-tuned it all felt. Surgically swerving shapes into a big mass was awesome. The graphics, while simple, worked well and had a lot of little details, and the synthy dance music was great and kept the action groove going. Nice one!
Lots of personality. I love the excessively pleased face of your radio contact as he lays down the news of budget cuts, while the robot coolly grooves to the music. And the beat-sync is a nice touch too, by the way. Good job!
Yooo. This was mesmerizing. Unique. One of my favorite things in old videogames is the prevalence of black -- like the game takes place in a void. This unsettled me as a kid, but love it now and your game really revels in it. I love it. Great ambient squelchy synth music and stark graphics make a great pair. Even a boss battle at the end -- so complete.
Ground pound mechanic was fun as hell. A big grin crawled across my face after jumping on top of spiders across a large gap. Great job on this. One of my favorites this LD.
So good. Love the great anime-style art! I cracked up at many of the dialogs and dug that the different defendants had their own personalities. I made it to the end, and yes, the ending art was worth it ;) Nice job, guys!
Neat idea. I like the snappy look and how the character squishes when he moves. I was often confused which way I'd go after a trampoline, never really got the hang of it. The boxes would sometimes glitch out and stay suspended on the corner of an island. Graphics are great, and the music is a bit repetitive, but nice. Good job.
Poor rabbits :< -- This was fun to mess around with. I love the way the trees spring and sway when you land on them. I will say the camera was a bit disorienting, maybe make it zoom and move a little less severely? Might just be me. Good job on this.
Cool idea. I liked the art style and the 2001-drone soundtrack fit well. It's REALLY hard to get the cat to land right. But it's possible. I enjoyed the intro animation/story bit! Good job on this.
Cuuute. I love the graphics here -- the yarn-like look to things is neat. Some fun levels too, though I wish you automatically went to the next one. I liked the simple arcade-style gameplay. Good one.
Also, since it's an SWF file, this should work on any browser that supports flash, not just Windows! I think.
Haha! This is great! :) I love the hype-as-hell drum music (boom boom boom boom) and the odd crayon-style graphics. I got stuck in walls several times though. I like the cute little guy thanking you for playing too!
I don't know why I like this so much, I guess this game just feels like you really enjoyed making it :)
This was really cool. Love jumping between planets, and once you start deflecting entire planets into incoming objects it feels super cool. Also, the soundtrack: makes me smile. Awesome.
So pretty. Lots of character in the animations and graphics. His jaunty running animation's my favorite. It was fun to see what things arose as you kept building.
The music supported the mood, though I would have preferred a sparer score with more ambiance -- minor gripe! Good job on this!
Love the ZX look to the game. I can't say I understood the plot or cosmology, but it kept me playing. Then once the crucifixes came into the picture I didn't know WHAT to think!
Some of the later spritework is wonderfully horrifying too. I'm thinking of the second-to-last dialog screen in particular.
I like this!
"PC-9801 inspired visual novel"... I'm soo in. I really enjoyed playing this! The graphics are cute and bright, the music is that relaxing instrumental jam that I'm all about, and the writing was enjoyable to read. Quite a few standout lines in there. Some events get a little same-y but I guess that's life too, huh? Very nice job on this, both of you.
Great graphics and the sound is perfect. Like, I can't imagine better music for vacuuming with cats :) . I really liked the gameplay mechanic here -- I'm a big fan of Qix and there's a bit of that in the set-up phase, and those cats make it pretty challenging to lay down the tape well. Feels great when you just squeak by! Lots of fun here. Great work, all of you!
Incredible. Very fun mechanics countered with some real somber setting. I like it. The visuals are great, simple but perfectly descriptive and helping the gameplay. Music as well, very well-made ambient track, really puts me in a pensive mood. I'm stuck right now on the level in the screenshot, but I don't want to skip it yet though! Very good work on this.
Good experience... very tense once you near the end but I managed to beat it! The minimal graphics look nice, and I liked the music coming on in parts -- cool effect. Good work!
Interesting concept for a story! I like the main gameplay, but felt it ramps up way too slow. It gets a lot more exciting once there's a swarm of twenty dwarves and I'm trying to blast them away while picking up gold! The music works for the setting but seems a bit restful for the main action. Visuals are nice. All said, I enjoyed it! Good work.
Simple but fun! It gets hypnotic after a while! The audio clips go from funny, to annoying, and once you play it long enough it comes around to funny again. Being able to control both hands independently was great -- a lot of little mini-strategies arose organically out of it. I liked parking an empty hand above a cooking piece so I wouldn't miss it once it was done, while managing the monsters with the other. Really enjoyed this!
Nice little game! It was a little difficult distinguishing the beers for me, but not too bad. I love how it gets increasingly chaotic as time goes on -- I even started throwing extra beers just to add to the chaos. I had fun! Good work.
Love it. Love the squishy, wibbly-wobbly bat animation. The tutorial is really simple and smart. And I like the music too! Very relaxing but kind of hopeful too. The ending is really cute, though I wish it didn't kick you out of the game so soon! I wanted to stay on that screen for a little bit and enjoy the vibe and be happy for that little (big) bat :)
Really cool. Intro bit is funny. Love the sugar coma blur effect and the distortion around the edges. It's pretty fun flying around with my pistols shooting candy, seeing what the next one will be. Nice one.
Clever take on the theme! It's amazing that you managed to game-ify credit and debt in such a stark way. Good music choices too, especially the dojo fighting music. Nice work.
Excellent. The graphics are a standout, the music fits well, and the mechanic is cool. I like trying to get the monsters stuck on scenery to make my escape. What exactly is that green effect that covers the screen? Is that medallion cursed? Great work everyone!
Very nice! This is really fun. The music is great -- very genuine flavor and I really enjoy the little square wave flourishes that surf around over the traditional instruments. Visuals are simple in the best way... uncomplicated and full of character and humor. The rhythms become super fun as they become more off-beat. Challenginggg! One of my favorites I've played this Ludum Dare. Great job, you two!
I really like this. Block stacking is fun but so hard. I think it would be cool if you wrapped around the screen at the edges, so you could really correct your balance when it's leaning bad. I got to 5 blocks at my best :)
This is radical! Love love love this kind of platformer. Very tough. Graphics are simple but crisp, and have a lot of neat little touches. I also really dug the low-pass that comes up under the text cards -- did you do that through programming or manually? I was wondering if love could do that. Really great game, one of the best I've played this LD! Good job :)
Nice game -- very stressful to play! I like the simple graphics and the items they take... did I see a Pet Fly? This would really benefit from just a few sounds -- paper shuffling, maybe a ticking clock. Also, it would be cool to see the items that are being taken fly across the screen or something. Maybe for a future version. Good work on this!
So tough! I like the controls -- taking corners feels goood. I think if you polished up the presentation a bit you could have a real slam dunk here! I'm going to go try again :)
Someone save those fuckos! :) The graphics are really sweet, and the mechanic is interesting. I do wish the gun had more bite to it though, once the enemies pile up it becomes pretty tough to survive. I also encountered some weird collisions where I kept getting stuck walking against a wall trying to jump. No biggie though. I agree with those above that sound effects would help, sometimes I wasn't sure if I was hit or not. Maybe for a later build. All in all I had fun! Good work.
Cool idea for a game! I like the feel of moving things around and the robotron-style aiming. I wasn't very good at it though. Graphics stood out to me too, they're very crisp! Good work.
@beebo-studios: huh, that's really weird! what OS / device are you using? If you're using the .love file, are you on Love .10.2? I can't think of what could be causing this problem.
@beebo-studios: yeah it should work. It's weird 'cause you're the first to report this! Sorry it didn't work, but I hope it works on your notebook!
@6smith: Glad you like it :) -- The track's up on [my soundcloud](https://soundcloud.com/fluidvolt). Actually can people still download off soundcloud? But you can also just unzip the .love file and take the looping ogg from there. Thanks for playing / listening!
@giraffecat: thanks for the bug report! Glad you figured it out on your own and got it working. I don't know why that's happening but it's gotta be some weird coding of mine somewhere! You've given me a place to start hunting :)
Cool idea! Loved dashing around and breaking into houses. Love the old-school rpg graphics. The music is well made, though the main theme seemed a bit too bombastic for stealing music? Maybe just me. The chase music fits well. Great work on this!
Very neat! Love all the attention to detail in the graphics -- the wurst package title, and the swooshy eating animations are great. The gameplay is fun for the most part, though I do feel the gun could be faster. It does feel satisfying to break the wursts apart while slamming space bar! Good work, all of you!
This is cool! I like the look of the game, simple but sets a tone. A bit Master System-esque. The random rooms were neat -- though I had one funny bug where the enemies spawned in the walls -- makes it very re-playable. The music is a bit too repetitive though, I think I would have gone with a more ambient track, like a few low, rumbling notes just to set the mood. But, minor nitpick. I had fun playing, good work on this!
Fun little game. The art is very simple but pleasing to look at -- soothing color choices. Interesting control scheme. It felt a little strange at first, pulling blocks with a projectile but really cool after a while! I was a little frustrated at the movement speed, it felt too slow and stop-start for my taste, but maybe I'm too impatient. I also wish it counted L-shapes to clear as well, but it's a minor issue. I had fun playing this little puzzler, good work.
This was fun! I like these step-advance kinds of games... gives me time to think as I'm normally bad at puzzlers. Cute graphics and oinkers.
I like the art a lot! Very cute and storybook-like. The gameplay is cool too, I like swooping the camera around to view my surroundings while trying to avoid the black holes, and swatting those little creatures around.
I like this! The way the ship controls is nice, especially once you get a longer tail -- I love how it fights you and whips around. The graphics are simple but work well: I like the particles on the projectiles. The music was a little same-y after a while, and I think it would fit the game to have a more droney, space-y sound but that might just be my taste. Some sfx would really go a long way though! I'm already pretty immersed in this but a nice explosion sound, or maybe a cold humming sound when carrying materials would be awesome. I digress. I had some real fun with this and you have a solid foundation to build on! Good work.
Graphics are fantastic. Gameplay is simple yet fun -- especially satisfying when you line up a good shot from your pistol. At first I wanted it to be an instantly traveling bullet but!I grew to like the contrast between the sword and pistol. Good work.
This is sooo cool!! It took me a little bit to get it running but I'm glad I made the effort. A little snake dungeon-crawl! Creative mash-up. Very fun and challenging. Simple but effective retro graphics -- the scanlines on the emulator I was using helped! The only thing I can say is I wish there was sound, even just a little collect chime... but I don't know how hard that is on a C64 on such a short time-frame. Great work.
I love the presentation. The zx-spectrum vibe to the visuals and the simple music and I'm a huge fan of old games with black backdrops. The little guys bobbing up and down... So I'm definitely sucked into the game! I also dig the minimal UI, it works well. Though I was a bit confused at first when it said "build a x first". I thought that meant that's what I was going to do when I clicked it. Nothing major though. I did the two orchard thing at the start too and was very confused. But I got it the second time through! Very enjoyable. Good work.
lol, I love this. Hearing the blaring sirens over hundreds of cats meowing, while an angry old man yells at me. "I'll have you arrested for making so many cats" made me laugh out loud. It's a super simple game but I had a big smile the whole time at the sheer absurdity of it. Good work.
I like the minimal graphics -- the cool colors keep me relaxed. Some simple smooth sound effects would complement very well. I enjoyed the central conceit, though it felt very slow paced until you start boosting, then you die and you have to do the slow part again. Maybe I'm too impatient! Other than that, some sort of background would help telegraph speed. Still, you've got a solid base to build on. Nice one!
Love the aesthetics -- the cube-y people and elevator music-style tunes. I can't say I really understood much of what I was doing, but I enjoyed slapping anyone! I didn't always slap who I wanted to when they were next to each other though, maybe a rectangle should show up where you're going to slap? I don't know.
Also, I got an error when I shipped the second time! -- Employee.lua 190: attempt to index global 'newEmployee' (a nil value) -- I'm a real gamedev now!
This is relaxing -- until it's not! Those cat spirits were scary at first, I had no idea what was going on :). Very complete little game here. The thorough tutorial, the cute graphics and music, the cheeky dialog. Very nice job, all of you.
This was soooo cool. Lots of funny lines, too many to name -- I particularly liked the forum posting bits and the fake product reviews. Slick, simple graphics work well. That 56k modem sound always brings me back. I liked the constant build-up the most, the jobs you have at the end are ridiculous. Lots of character. Great work, had a ton of fun!
Nice little game! Always fun to fly around, asteroids-style. The music is so intense which pairs a little strangely with the action on screen. The music stopping when you die is a nice touch too. Nice work.
Very complete experience! Had fun from start to finish. Enjoyed the touches of humor in the dialog (20 seems like and oddly specific number), and the graphics are a standout. Especially like the player character's animations. The jump does feel oddly floaty but you mention that, and the layouts are designed with it in mind, so it's fine. Good work!
Very nice. I like the mood and the message. The character art is gruesome but endearing. That audio drove me crazy but it's meant to, isn't it? I like how it builds in layers as you continue. Great experience playing this.
Very nice! I knew I was in for a treat from the classic Doom vibes I was getting from the title screen. It's fun to run-and-gun around (though I feel the camera moves a bit too much for me) and the shop makes things interesting, though there wasn't much choice in my case -- I needed the hearts every time. The music fits and works well. I only ever made it to wave 3... but I had fun!
Cute kitty game! The art is nice and pretty -- I like the angry cat the best -- and the music fits well -- nice and relaxing -- though I wish the song was a little longer. But I like the sound palette. Gameplay gets really hectic past the 15-mark... I was getting stressed for real! Very enjoyable game, good work!
lol this is great! The game feels good to play. The song is so short it can get grating, but then it gets hypnotic as you search for your stuff. I laughed out loud at the delivery-men craning into the screen :) Nice job!
Ha, I like the reminders The Worker wrote for himself! Love the simple but detailed visuals, and it's pretty funny reading the emotions of the customers through their hand movement -- when I gave one the finger on accident his hand just backs off slowly. lol. Music is weird but it fits well with the mood. Good work.
Cute! I love the panda sprite. Jump is nice, and it fits the theme well. Good one :)
The core control is pretty nifty -- I do like how it feels to ride around and get heavier. It's a bit simple but in a short blast it's relaxing, in a way. With some simple sfx and some spiffier graphics this could be a really neat game. Perhaps for a future version? Good work on this so far!
This was very cool. I managed to beat it after restarting once (I thought FTH terrible was a bug at first, lol). The main idea is super creative, I liked the experience of running through the level each time with new twists. The only complaints I have are two: the music is way too repetitive. And I really wish the levels didn't take as long as they did to restart. But that second one might just be my computer. All in all, great job on this, I really enjoyed it.
This is such a cool mechanic! I loved picking up and setting down stick arms and burning bushes. (Brings me back to Ocarina of Time deku sticks.) The way the little snowman looks when he's near fire is so worrying! Music sets the mood well too. Very fun and impressive. Good work :)
Ooh, turn-based, nice! The graphics are very slick, I like them a lot. The music was okay, but I don't know if it fit the game that well? It would fit something a bit more relaxing, in my opinion. I like the mechanic -- getting more and more turns really builds up the strategy / tension as the game progresses. Good work!
Fun! Super hard but the main mechanic lets you trade the difficulty between enemies and the platforming. Graphics are really sweet. Some sound would really add a lot to the game -- just a sword clang, getting hit, and a jump sound would go a long way. Had some good fun with this one.
Unique take! Very cool reversal of typical gameplay. I liked trying to make the game as hard as I could for myself and seeing how long I could last. Fun.
Enjoyed the music and gameplay idea is interesting. Reminds me a little of [Make Trax](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_Trax), just in the paint the floor objective. I enjoyed the EDM music and the dynamic changing when the colors inverted... now everything you painted hurts you! Good work :)
Fun! I haven't played a shoot-em-up yet this LD, and this was a good silly one. I like the simple childlike graphics and sfx. Only complaint I have is I found it hard to see the enemy projectiles over food and my own shots. It'd be nice if they were always on top. I can imagine this with some silly, funky music and it being a very complete fun game. Good work.
That music is stuck in my brain! I wish it was longer, though it's an ... interesting take on Mary Had A Little Lamb! I like the gameplay, obviously inspired by Balloon Fight but the weight mechanic gives it some freshness. The sounds are cute too. I enjoyed playing :)
Also, what you said: "There’s only one level, because there are only 48 hours in the compo." -- I've never agreed more!
Cute little game. I agree with others that it starts out very easy and instantly hits the ceiling and gets super hard. Still, it's charming and simple. Good work.
Neat little game -- I like the fluid animations even if they're very simple, blocky characters! The noise mechanic is cool, though I wish the noise depended on how long you've been walking so you could creep by in slow bursts. Only other suggestion I would have: it would be handy if 'space' also let you retry. I want to retry quickly! :)
Pretty fun! I liked all of the different situations -- the President's Christmas gift and ordering an elf to climb down the tree were my favorites. Quite a few funny situations. I also liked the idea of using festive ribbons as tourniquets! It's pretty tough at the beginning, but it gets easier as you find more goods. Nice work, you two!
lol, a Ludum Dare game about idol signing sessions, I've seen it all  I like it a lot! The graphics are cute and fitting, and I'm a sucker for mini-game games. The photograph and ddr-style one I could do pretty well, but I could NEVER get the signature down. Oh well. I liked all of the dialog -- the fans are suitably creepy lol. Good work on this, all of you!
Slick presentation, oh emm gee! Love the graphics, they're very evocative and moody, and the music is up there -- I especially like the night-seige music. Had a lot fun placing and designing my town! Great work all.
Very nice! Great graphics and sound. Cool Ancient theme. I'll agree with the others on the difficulty, but it does make it more exciting to survive. The balance between collecting and speed is a neat idea too. Good work!
Neat little game! I like the character's squishy walk animation. I really liked the feel of sweeping the area, and having the gems come to me. I felt not enough happens after a while and it feels static. The music was a bit too repetitive for my taste, but I liked the sounds -- especially the little "clink" the gems make. Nice work on this.
Art is simple but cute. I like the idea of the game, and it was very surprising the first time I gained weight! I think it's a little repetitive flying back and forth over a flower to collect more pollen -- I would have preferred if it kept going up so long as you hovered over it. I didn't know how to progress once I gained weight the second time though?? I just die when I jump and I can't think of what else to do. Still, I had fun. Nice work.
Cute! Graphics are simple and sweet. I like the main gameplay too -- though eating the mice was a lot more gruesome than I was expecting based on how cute everything is! I felt sorry for them :) Good work!
Impressive game, very full-featured! I really like the mechanic of leveling up being a trade-off -- the loot dodging being collected was cracking me up and ticking me off :) Graphics are very nice and I like those weird monsters. I enjoyed the main song but I don't know if it fits with the bloodshed... it fits for feeding Steve though, that cute pup! Enjoyed this quite a bit, good work.
Oh wow, this is cool. What a creative mechanic! Makes moving around itself a fun challenge, while also exposing how little I know my keyboard. I like the music -- nice, chunky square waves -- though I really wish it didn't start over every time I changed level! But that's a minor point. I enjoyed playing this quite a bit!
This is challenging and weird! I like the bounce mechanic, it feels wild and out of control -- though I found it very hard. Still, I had some fun roller-coasting around the floor. Good work, all!
Beautiful. Combat feels so tight in this game -- sliding around corners, baiting enemies in, then unloading before they can. These little one-on-one duels! The visuals are very simple but extremely effective. The upgraded version of the main enemy is scary -- the way he can warp around and fling a bunch of shots at once, but the sprite is a big part of it too -- he looks completely unhinged! One of the best games I've played this Ludum Dare. Congrats on this game!
This game is cool! The jump is wild as hell and I love it. The music is good stuff and fitting -- I like the purchase music best -- and the graphics are a treat. Great work.
One of my favorites this LD! Very funny -- can you even file a class action against a person, lol! I was constantly entertained by the cutscenes, the voice acting was good for a humorous game, and the gameplay worked well enough. I do wish there was more to do to avoid the fans. The last level in particular took me many, many tries, but I wanted to see the ending! Great work on this!
What a great idea & game! Love the visuals, and the blocky-head kid sprite. I like having a bird as a teacher :) This is really fun. Weaving in and out of my previous trails gets tense, and I love playing risky... running right through the middle of a group feels great when you get it right. The gratuitous violence was funny in a cartoony way, so that gets a thumbs up!
Yeah, there's some cool ideas here. I like glow-y graphics and the swift aiming, but I can't say I felt a sense of danger. Also, if there were some sfx I think it would help a ton, as right now it feels a bit static. I think there's a good core here though, just keep adding and polishing!
Very cool! Don't typically play tower defense games but this one was simple enough for me to enjoy! The visuals are very slick and clean, and the set-up christmas-y music is nice and relaxing. Good work on this!
Yeah, the control is really nifty! I like how it feels to swoop around with the mouse -- I'm glad you clarified it was *dragging* the mouse that did it. Sometimes the boost spawns off screen and you have to poke in the dark to get it -- is that intentional? It can be fun but also a bit tedious. I enjoyed playing this, good work!
That game over screen was kind of shocking from such a cute game! I like the graphics, simple but effective and cute. I like the shake mechanic, but the game was pretty tough. Actually, on my fourth or fifth try, I got a cool bug that let me jump a whole bunch and fly over half the level -- only way I could beat it! Good work on this game, both of you!
Yep, this is fun! The graphics are iffy and it's not super original, BUT it adds just enough to the Flappy formula to be really fun... I really like the speed boosts for every couple bits of food. It gets tough after a while! Good work.
I love this. So much. Even with such a simple conceit the world you constructed is air-tight! Everything feels very cohesive to an internet vampires would use. Impressive!! I love the art style! The game itself was way to hard for me, but I enjoyed reading all of the ads -- I think I like the "Day Owls" one best. Sound is simple but contributes just enough to add to the experience. Great job both of you, this is one of my favorites I've played this time around.
Cute! I like the sound the wuki makes :) . The art is nice and I enjoyed wheeling around the daycare. The gameplay's a bit simple but there is a relaxing quality to it. Good work!
Neat. The graphics are simple but work for me, and the mechanic's cool. I like the music too, definite jungle vibes. I kind of wish the slow-down based on weight was a little less pronounced. After a few gems you're crawling! But I'm impatient, so maybe it's just me. Also, yes, it's cool to see a pygame game! A friend of mine tried to learn it and it seems like a solid little engine!
Had a lot of fun with this game! The gameplay kept me playing all the way to the end. Had some weird bugs like those little orbs falling through walls, but nothing major. Nice music too -- cute! Good work on this.
Cute game. I thought the main character was a priest based on his outfit! Maybe he is, in a way? Enjoyed the puzzles and the cat-mechanics. Nice work.
It's funny how much audio can add to a game! Enjoyed the voiced(!) cutscenes and the music -- it's like Bleg was just humming along while barbing! I thought the barb-attaching mechanic was cool, even if I'm not sure if there's a strategy there or if it's arbitrary. I opted for a long line of barbs jutting out to the right :)
