Awesome piece of work. Very enjoyable experience.

Awesome piece of work. Very enjoyable experience.
A perfect games jam game. Initially i didn't quite understand the game, but as soon as i got past the first level i loved it. It's a nice length too. Music is fantastic quality and perfectly fits. I love the graphics, they're beautiful! :-)
Nice idea, generally fun but it definitely needs more feedback and balancing. Great job so far and for the jam, you should carry on working on it :-)
I can't figure it out, i'm stuck after the first level.
It seems like the cause of the buggered turrets is a few simply mis-calculated variables. As per the rules I will submit a minor change later with some non-sleep deprived and up to date variables in :-) Thanks so much for the feedback so far.
@rzfmzn - there should be an ending screen. I put it in last minute though so i guess i broke it :-(
Thanks for playing everyone and for the feedback, it's been so helpful!
This looks great, a compelling small world :-)
I also did a tower defense game, nice to see how others have taken it. Feel very smooth. Could definitely use some music & sounds. Otherwise very good :-)
Took me a while to understand the game, but once i got it i really enjoyed it. Mind bending! Great job. Could definitely do with some audio, but otherwise fantastic.
Very funny indeed. I found myself saying; "OK last level this time" a lot and then it ended :-) The graphics could use work and i'd like to see some audio but otherwise enjoyable.
Haha i love the voice. Love the YT channel too. Very funny game :). Lots of fatal crashes when clicking the buttons at the bottom though :(
Very nice, really enjoyable - my only complaint is that the screen always follows you, i think having a small distance where the screen doesn't follow you and you could move freely would benefit massively! It's definitely missing some music too. Great job though, otherwise thoroughly enjoyable!
Really enjoyed this, great use of the theme. Very different to everything i've seen so far. I found myself constantly second guessing myself. Awesome job! I can't help but feel you knew from the beginning exactly what i was going to pick :D
Brilliant, loved the feeling of the game. Thought it was distinctive and unique. Really enjoyed it :-)
Interesting take on Asteroids :-) Great gameplay and very addictive!
There's a few issues with the collision, but the game was a very enjoyable experience. Great job of the general mood and feeling of the game. Very fun too!
Great use of the theme, i'd love to see the game further developed with animations, music, etc. I like the style of the graphics so far. Good stuff!
Perfect.
Great game, impressive for the time! Good job!
Reminds me of Super Monkey Ball. Nice, original idea and well implemented. I think some kind of confirmation that i'm jumping would improve it a lot; A sound or higher jump for example - at the minute it's very difficult to tell. The game also has a very nice feel to it.
Delightful :-) My only issue with it is one of the later levels requires *so* much patience. Music was lovely too!
Very confusing, i kind of understand but it's all a bit confusing. The graphics are quite nice and the mood is feels very consistent, reminds me a lot of the old gameboy games.
Great first attempt. Looking forward to seeing what you can produce in the future. Keep up the good work.
Really enjoyed this game, played it from beginning to end. Found it very fun. Would love to see some audio with the game. Very enjoyable experience. Great job!
This is incredible. Perfect.
Haha brilliant! Great game and very funny :-)
Sorry to hear about the loss of project data, that's never fun :-( I respect the fact that you threw something else together though :)
Only found one minor bug, the gun clips through the walls. Really enjoyed the game though :-) Great job!
I thought this was absolutely fantastic :) Great idea! A stop button for the current playing sound would be nice, but overall a fantastic game!
Lovely game. Very fun, great use of the theme, simple and effective graphics and music that fits the bill. Awesome job!
5 across the board. Can not fault this game. Perfect.
Very nice game and a cool idea, great job. It took me a moment to realise the vines were slowing me down, i also found it maybe slowed me slightly too much. Very enjoyable though :-)
Lovely game, really enjoyed it.
This is fantastic! Everything is so smooth! I love the audio & graphics and the mechanic is pretty interesting. Fantastic job here!!
Haha this is great; i'd love to see more levels! The graphics are beautiful by the way! Great job!
The control scheme.. Oh god it's wonderful. This is fantastic, at first i thought it was a nice demo, then POW.. I levelled up and i was hooked. Amazing job here.
Very satirical.. ^^ I really like it, great commentary.
Haha hilarious.
Great game here, the theme connection seems a little flimsy but i think that's fine - the mechanic is really nice & fluid. Great job!!!
The ghost freaked me the hell out. The mood is definitely getting there but as mentioned by others, some more set dressing & audio would do wonders. Great start to a project.
Love this, really great atmosphere, sound and everything. Top notch!
Really well done here, the audio is lovely, the idea is unique and refreshingly innovative and the package as a whole is solid. The jump feels a little heavy, perhaps it's not using velocity? Great job.
Haha very funny, good job.
Awesome game here, unique mechanics and great atmosphere. Would like to see some more ambient music/sound. Great job!
Haha the solution is great :) Nice little game!
The idea is really nice, the physics are sometimes a little unpredictable. I'm not keen on the idea of starting again, but i guess it ties to the theme nicely in that respect. Good job here.
Impressive piece of work here. I really like this, the only thing i'm not a fan of is the controls.. Technically you've done a really great job - i'd love to see some audio though.
Great entry, would love to hear some frantic music behind this. The graphics are fantastic too!
Kooky concept. I like it :) Great job.
I really like this, awesome visuals and mechanic. The sound is quite intrusive and could use some music. Great job.
Really well done, I enjoyed playing this a lot! Congrats on a great game :)
I like the idea, and the graphics are really good. I felt a bit disoriented afterwards!
The physics were a nice touch :) Cool little game, you should get it on a tablet or phone!
Really well done, I loved this as it was funny and had a good goal. I think the only criticism would be that when you get blocked in at the bottom, there's really no escaping the enemies as you can't jump or anything to get away. The movement of the enemies feels a little unpredictable as well, for instance when they stop moving mid-jump and you land on them. This is one of the more original Ludum Dare entries my partner and I have seen! All in all it's definitely well made. Good job and good luck
Haha the sarcasm is excellent, you had me chuckling a few times :-) Nice theme use, but i'd see if you could integrate the hud controls into the two buttons too! Good work!
Nice mood going on! A nice take on the Katamari idea. I like the mood you have :)
Great game, definitely kept me going!
Neat little game, had to figure to out what to do for a few rounds. Cool concept!
Simple nice little game! Good work! I love the players chomping animation too :)
Fun concept, great humor, well executed... ;)
Woah, this is perfect. I love everything about this. Lovely touching experience, #14 is my favourite ending :)
Nice job here! Maybe add some smoothing to the movement left and right, but other than that a well implemented little package :)
Cool concept, I liked having to work out my moves carefully to be able to advance to the next level. Not sure why you made it so you should use a mouse to click on the coloured boxes as buttons instead of just clicking on actual buttons on a keyboard. Good job and good luck!
I liked playing around, the music suited the game well. Good job!
Really nice idea, super original.. Of course the sound effects are incredible and gave me a good laugh too! Great work!
I like the spin on this type of game. I almost felt like moving up or down was way slower than moving sideways. Although I'm not sure why you lose some of your size (I guess it happens when you take too long to between consuming new orbs/universes), I did like the idea of having to regain it. Good job.
Really interesting game, it definitely gave my hand a workout! I like the concept, although it was quite hard to play from the get-go. Well done!
I really really love this, awesome idea and very unique! Lovely controls and theme.
Hehe this is hilarious. I laughed, the chewbacca was a great addition!
Really awesome graphics and cool audio, both have a great effect. Short and simple, but really well done. The only critique would be the space between keys z and m, if you have smaller hands like me and would need to use both hands for a faster effect hit rate.
Really great game, I found it interesting and enjoyable. Some critique would be for the menu to also be navigated by the arrow keys, as I didn't expect for it to be done with the mouse. Other than, I'm really impressed, good job!
Nice game, cool graphics! I like the all around feel of it :)
A little confusing, but could see this working as a cute game with a few more tweaks! Well done for completing :)
Nice game, I think there needed to be a bit more tweaking with the movement of Bubble Boy. Well done!
Nice idea. I felt it was a little difficult to control and could have been made easier by eliminating the back button to stop, and instead having to hold and release the forward button, for moving and stopping respectively. Good job.
Nice game. There were a few stretched moments where nothing was really happening though. I like having to shoot the smaller orbs out to move.
Nice game idea! It gets difficult, in a good way. Maybe add some audio to keep you in the mood/energize you? Well done.
Nice little game, it was definitely interesting to explore :)
Really cool idea, great graphics and nice music! It was a little hard to master, but I can see it becoming addictive.
Really nice game, I just found it a bit difficult to get the bar filled. Maybe have it start out with a slower speed, to kind of get the player used to the action. Then speed it up gradually. Well done!
Really well done on the look of it all. Good job on completing this!
Ha, this was brilliant. Really enjoyed playing and made me smile. Short, but fantastic little experience and definitely unique and a fun interpretation of the theme :)
Great game! Super simple and easy to pick up & read with a great curve of difficulty taught through the level design. Definitely a set of mechanics you could easily build on into a wider game with some interesting puzzles. The aesthetic works great with the sound effects and art style (and fits the theme perfect!) great job! :-)
Wow! Very lovely complete package. Impressed at the diverse gameplay you created in the jam! The graphics are absolutely lovely too :-)
I managed to kill 152 pirates before getting killed with only 4 boxes left!
Fantastic graphics, really digging how the game looks. The gameplay is very fluid and quick, though the camera might be a little too quick at times.
Played it through a few times incase i missed anything! Overall a really great experience, the mechanics work really nicely and the overall mood of the game is brilliant & very cohesive with the music & graphics working great together. I got a few Monkey Island vibes from this too :)
Great stuff! :-)
Really interesting idea, very difficult to pick up but satisfying to master. Loved the visual aesthetic of the game but the sfx were a little harsh compared to the visual style (music was really lovely though). Great work! :-) I could see this working really well on a mobile device!
Reminds me of the 3d halloween episode of the simpsons! Great work, the game looks absolutely fantastic!
Loving that we're seeing games like this with Twitch integration in Ludum Dare, very impressive in the time scale! Really lovely simple to pickup game, can see this going far if development is continued! Great work! :-)
This is absolutely fantastic, the style works brilliant and the theme is spot on. Awesome work! :D
Wow, this artwork & music is absolutely brilliant! Fantastic work here. Great work!
Wow, very impressive for 48 hours. I thought the general atmosphere and tension of the game was absolutely fantastic. Great work (I really loved the visual style too!)
Definitely one of the more fun games i've played over the course of the jam! I have to admit i skipped straight past the tutorial and didn't immediately get the teleporter mechanic - but it was nicely introduced. Biggest piece of feedback would be that i think it would be easier to pick up and play if the mechanics were taught in isolation (for example the bullet & crates individually) then mixed and matched to create increasing levels of difficulty. The mood of the game was great, very upbeat and fast paced (music worked awesome!) - difficult but not unfair :-) Great stuff. The graphics looks nice but game out a little blurry for me in the web build (especially the menu).
Very cute game, enjoyed the concept and themeing of the game a lot!
Nice job, the seasons & day night cycle looks great! :-)
Nice little game! Biggest piece of feedback would be to try and teach the gameplay mechanics more through the level design and iconography of the game (e.g. Sharks work great as enemies, you could give the electric fish mean looking eyes and bolts of electric surrounding them whilst the fish to catch could look less hostile, etc.) That way players can learn as they go without needing to read much outside the controls. Great work though, i really like the artwork and the idea of playing inside a goldfish bowl!
I absolutely LOVED your game, i'm a real big fan of adventure games! Really great work to make a finished adventure game in the time! The only thing i struggled with was that i didn't realise that i could enter the pipe in the pond at first - though that just added to the enjoyment for me as it bought me back to the old adventure games searching for any little clue or detail! Great work! :-)
Really loved the interpretation of the theme 'A Small World', not seen this interpretation much elsewhere. Fun pick up and play gameplay too :-)
Haha great entry, really overall nice theming and mood of the game. Found myself playing for quite a little while. Awesome to see a complete package like this made in the time frame available. Main piece of feedback would be that i skimmed over the how-to page before playing first time round (though the conrols were super intuitive so i had no problem) but you could have the how to play info in-game (something like how Binding of Isaac does?) and i also noticed that enemies continue to move whilst the pause menu is active. Overall really great game!
Thanks for the feedback @mrgussio - definitely agree that I lacked gameplay and placed a little too higher emphasis on the artwork in this jam. Thanks for playing! :-)
Thanks @cerno-b - i hope you enjoy when you do play. I've marked the game as Windows compatible on itch.io, thanks for the tip, i didn't know that was the case!
@cerno-b - Thanks so much for the feedback. I definitely agree with the colouring after playing on another computer (I think my brightness / contrast is set overly high on this monitor!).
Good suggestion on highlighting how the moving works on the first screen - i think as well something that would definitely help is having the marker update when animations finish playing so the player can move.
Definitely if i had more time i would have changed the second playthroughs but as you said, time was limited :-)
Thanks again for playing! Very much appreciated!
@eveningwayward - definitely agreed on the colouring! I think i'd like to drop the black back a little and then add some greens to the grey and also lighten it up a bit to contrast the colours more. Thanks for the feedback!
And good point on the starting location - as i mentioned to cerno, i think adding some help on how the movement works initially would definitely help. Thanks :)
Thanks everyone for the constructive criticisms & kinds words! :-)
@Takusan - Thank you very much for the kind words, i'm super glad to hear that you enjoyed playing! I was definitely headed in the direction of the older Amiga games (Though some of the restrictions in the game came from running out of time rather than from technical limitations simlar to those of the era!).
@Veksell thanks for playing, definitely agreed! I think the problem became a lot more apparent when i played on another monitor to my own haha. Gives me something to think about next time ;-)
Thanks for the feedback @porcus-pie. Definitely agree on the colour, since replaying the game after the LD weekend i've wanted to revisit the colour and contrast the two colours slightly more. As for gameplay, i think you're very much right, there's not enough direction given to the player - I was aiming for the old adventure game style as @takusan mentioned with that feel of experimentation but i think i didn't quite reach what i was aiming for. Thanks for playing and i'm very glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thanks for playing @jupiter-hadley! I hope you enjoyed it, seems you ran into the same issues a lot of others mentioned. Food for thought for the next jam :-)
Played through to the end of content message, lovely little package. Really enjoyed this - loving the art style & audio too! :)
Got a lot of Zelda vibes from this too!
Wow, very impressive game. This is definitely one of the Ludum Dare games i've spent the most time on (and come back to!). I hope you plan to release, I could definitely see myself missing a stop on the train playing this!
Only suggestion would be an (optional) background music track :-)
Awesome stuff!
Enjoyable game! Really liked the aesthetic & mood of it - very well presented! I found the controls to be a tad slow at times, but otherwise great stuff!
Lovely graphics - really love the style you have and the little comic book style story you had. Great little game, awesome stuff! :-) Reminds me of a children storybook or a stage!
Overall a really great idea, i really like the take on the theme and the graphics and mood make me nostalgic :-) Only minor thing, I initially struggled with figuring out what i could interact with (some of the objects could maybe do with a small glow?).
Haha definitely a funny game :-) Nice work, i could definitely see some idle game elemetns like auto-clickers working well in this game for a cost in a future version. Great work! (The trump tweets were a great addition!)
Great innovation on the tower defence genre. I think there's a few elements that add a little bit of excess stress to the game. I found my top level turret was killing my own turrets which meant that a lot of my earlier progress and victories of keeping my turrets alive was backtracked by some bad placement of my next turret. When i started to have a lot of towers i found that i was constantly typing on the arrow keys, it'd be interesting to see if there was a way to negate some of this clicks (like an idle game does with removing the need to click as often) later in the game? Overall great work and a nice take on the genre!
Thank you @Millhow, i appreciate the feedback and i'm sincerely glad you enjoyed it! :-) I've queued your game to play on my lunch break!
THanks @Zeggamer for the feedback! I definitely wanted to get some more phases to the boss that switch up gameplay, but like the audio, time fell away! The balloon hitting him from below would be a really interesting way of using the core mechanic to kill the boss, thanks for the idea. And luckily the boss was the last level, so you managed to beat the most of the game :D THanks again for playing.
THanks @blotosaur, I definitely think that's the biggest hole i wish i'd had time to fix. I'd originally put in the balloon drop mechanic to help me debug stuff but ended up liking it and keeping it, i think it could work really nicely as a puzzle mechanic to give breathing room between combaty levels. If i continued on the game i'd definitely take on that problem head on! THanks for playing! :-)
Thanks everyone for the lovely feedback! @iker-diaz @spacewizardj @randomnine @phlip45 solid feedback, i definitely ran out of time with juicing the mechanic. I think there's a lot of room to experiment with making some more puzzley elements here that would fit nicely, especially if i could even differentiate what the player could do whilst holding the balloon. Hopefully i have chance in the future to come back to the idea and clean it up and spend some more time on the concept!
Thanks everyone for playing! <3
@havok06 thanks for the feedback, im sorry that the game was a litel difficult on AZERTY, that's definitely something i'll consider in the future!
Thank you all for playing, I really appreciate the kind feedback!
Great polished little experience especially for the jam time available, i maxed out at about 1:30 each time! Your graphics are really clean and lovely looking, nice work!
Really nice game with a strong mood & tone. At first i missed the ability to shoot in 8 directions but actually once i got playing, the combination of the limited shoot directions, versatile enemy shooting directions, limited vision & exploration worked brilliantly. Nice job :) I love the characters graphics too!
Nice take on the theme! Interesting idea for an alien Haha! I really love your art style! Really very polished, great work :-)
This is absolutely incredible, one of my favourite ludum games i've played in a long time. The mood, graphics & world building are brilliant. The physics & controls felt a little clunky at times and puzzles were sometimes a little difficult, but easy to look past compared to the incredible detail and care put elsewhere. Brilliant job :-)
Super nice little puzzle game that's well polished for the time available! I sometimes found the puzzles a little fast paced with not enough breathing time at the beginning, but once i got into the groove i really enjoyed it. Great job!
It took me a little while to figure out i could throw the stones vertically up, once i realised i felt like i'd cracked the game. Ended up getting 900m after a few plays. Really nice job! The introduction of new birds felt like they were paced out really well with a solid difficulty curve that increased without feeling boring. Overall really nice job, if i could call out one thing, it would be the tutorial/controls screen that was a little overwhelming and a lot to take in as a new player, especially one like me who generally skim reads the tutorial - i definitely think this could be done with an onscreen set of buttons, or in-world tutorial in the first 100m or so. Great work, it's got a lot of charm and is nicely polished!
Wow, this is seriously a great entry! Really fantastic job, the movement & character are really nicely polished and the art is beautiful. I found the difficulty a little easy at first, but eventually as more enemies came into the screen i found it tough to keep up on the laptop! Great work!
Really nice execution on the theme here. I found myself getting overly greedy when hunting for sticks every tiem and barely making it back. The snowtracks are a really great design choice, it helped me navigate the deep woods without worrying about getting lost and left me able to concentrate on exploration and balancing my resources. Some warnings on the fire & body temp getting load would definitely help with balancing my time and keeping focus. Overall, really nice job!
Nice idea and a good take on the theme :) The difficult really ramped up nicely! I found most of my deaths were related to accidentally clicking the wrong thing rather than letting through the poisoned food which sometimes felt a little unfair, it'd be nice to maybe have a fund of lives for accidental clicks (though it might make the game a little too easy early on!)
Great work!
This is absolutely brilliant! The take on the theme is fantastic and very unique, and the execution is wonderful. It's the perfect mix of old spy style movies & something like the Stanley Parable. I was a bit overwhelmed when presented with the second level, but quickly realised that it wasn't as difficult as i thought and was able to keep on top of the breaking parts. The sparks are a really nice tell, it'd be great if they could keep going whilst an object is broken. Really great work!
Great work, the game nicely matches the theme and i could see the mechanic working great on mobile with drag inputs. The difficulty started a little hard and could do with a soft in-game tutorial that shows me how to interact. The artwork is lovely btw :-)
I initially found the controls a little confusing and hard to master but once i got into the groove, i was able to beat the wolves (thoguh they maybe need some additional feedback to show you have hit them like a splatter of blood or something). Having a reminder somewhere in game for controls would help for sure since i found myself scrolling back down to read the info a lot. I also didn't understand the transition between the cutscene and the game, their was a bit of a jump that i felt like i missed, i was thinking my wife would be the shooter and i would be the runner which could be nice & open up some dynamics of shooting in the air. The graphics in this are really really beautiful, absolutely my kind of style - lovely work on this. Good work!
Great little game! Really liked the concept. Was impressed when things changed up from just fishing at first :-)
I found it a little tough to understand why i kept losing the first few games until i realised that i had to wait until the pulse was nearly finished. Having different levels of hit “Miss, perfect, good, etc.” might help communicate the necessity of perfect timing & help the player understand if they were successful or not.
I like the background music a lot, fits the aesthetic really nicely but i did find the hit & miss sound effects a little jarring at times.
Overall great work! :-)
Absolutely loved this idea! You blended these genres perfectly.
The aesthetic of the game is super coherent and impressive for a jam game and it looks brilliant.
My only real piece of feedback is that it didn't feel like the beats always matched the music in the background which made me naturally slip up if trying to follow the beat, otherwise a fantastic game, great work! :-)
Absolutely loved this, really well executed a beautifully done.
At first i found the controls a little frustrating but i think this was due to the difficulty curve and had to replay a few times before getting the hang of the controls. After a while though i got it and really enjoyed it.
Only real suggestion would be the inclusion of some kind of scoring mechanic to give a reason to replay.
It may also be worth uploading some screengrabs since players will be downloading an apk from drive.
Great work!
Thanks for the feedback everyone! It's super useful and great to hear you've enjoyed my little game! To those whose games I've not played yet, i'm slowly getting to all of them on my lunch breaks and evenings!
@R4ndomThunder thanks for the feedback, i'd toyed with the idea of auto-reloading, i may put that as a toggle option. I'll definitely get to yours & everyone elses games who's commented soon! I have a huge list i'm slowly getting through!
@NyanMatt Thanks buddy! Definitely agree, i think i'd definitely like to take another stab at balancing it.
@DerLasseHenrich Thank you, i'm glad you enjoyed it! I really had a great time making it!
@facepalmpt Thanks! I hope you didn't get too addicted :-)
@Sfey Thanks for the feedback, the movement is fairly out of the box character controllers which i tweaked a bunch - i'd love to give another pass on it to get things feeling tighter. Great suggestion too on moving cubes!
@Poorwill Thank you, i'm glad you enjoyed playing!
@obachuka great idea with the terrain! If i take the game further that'd definitely be the direction i want to take it with parts of the terrain being a puzzle in themselves. Great point about there not being enough incentive for moving around, i thought about having turrets "protecting" the match 3 tower but ran out of time but that might be something interesting to experiment with to see if that ups the pace.
@Yetman Thanks, customisable controls would definitely be something i'd love to add - i'm all for increasing accessibility to more player preferences! :-)
@Olivier Millochau Your English was perfect, thank you for your lovely feedback! Dang, thanks for spotting the bug, i don't have access to my home PC so i can't get to it but i'll add a note to the page. I'm happy you enjoyed it!
@TomekS Ah i knew it couldn't be completely bug free haha! Thanks for the feedback, great suggestions which i think could add a lot.
@Matt-Christian Thanks mate! Much appreciated and i'm glad you liked the announcer, Unreal was exactly what i had in mind when i was recording!
@Yanek I'm glad you gave it another chance and very much appreciate the feedback! Hopefully i can tweak the future iterations to encourage that kind of speed and gameplay even more.
Thanks again everyone! <3
Thanks @cassio-eduardo - i'd definitely like to add more hazards & obstacles to incentivize faster movement and quicker, ever-changing play as i continue to work on it!
A very novel concept, i really enjoyed the beautiful combination of the 2d story book world with the 3d bedroom.
Currently there's only a single golden path so it'd be great to see more space & items to explore and more freedom to move through both spaces less linearly but the idea is very strong and i can easily see how it could be built on to make something special.
The overall mood was great but it definitely feels like it's lacking some audio, i'd love to see a future version with something added to support the overall aesthetic.
Great work and super interesting idea.
Super neat concept! I toyed with something similar but couldn't get the logistics sorted quick enough, great work!
Works really well as a mobile game, this is definitely a concept you could easily build on. Great work!
The RNG felt like it was too random at times, having a way of swapping cards for a payoff somehow (maybe from different deck types?) could be a good way to counter this.
Great concept, really nice how the two genres have been mixed here.
I found it a little tough to manage all of the positions after playing for a while, it may make it more manageable to have a smaller number of maximum available pick up & drop off locations. But either way it was still great fun!
I ran into a small issue occasionally where the shoot got held down (could just be due to me playing it in browser and losing focus though).
The aesthics & mood is really lovely, great work on this!
Great little game, i found it a little tough to begin with but once i understood the language of when enemies were going to attack me i found things much easier to predict and strategize against. Great game, i could see myself putting lots of time into something like this on mobile.
I couldn't exactly work out if the enemies had a movement pattern & i occassionally saw them overstep rocks which felt a little confusing at times but having very transparent / predictable movement patterns with diversity between enemies would definitely help the longevity if you took the game further!
Great work and an excellent take on the theme! :-)
-Edited- Accidentally commented on the wrong game earlier, updated my comment below!
@Reality-blind gah! I'm sorry i commented the wrong comment on your game i just saw, i have a list of tabs of games i'm working through and got myself confused. Your game is next on my list to play, especially since you guys have an android build and i can play on my commute! Apologies for that and looking forward to playing shortly! :-)
Wow, absolutely loved this. I was suprised at how beautifully polished this was and how well constructed it was.
The aesthetic and audio work perfectly and are impressively coherent for a jam game. The feedback for everything is sublime and works lovely to ensure the player knows whats happening at all times.
The core loop works lovely, i loved that when i was waiting for the correct item to come out i still had things to do and balance my time with.
My only piece of feedback really would be that i played until round 7 and felt like there wasnt an increase in friction. Itd also be great to see a scoring method working along side the waves to measure performance vs progress.
Absolutely great game, you should be super proud of the achievement of making it in a jam environment!
Wow, absolutely loved this. I was suprised at how beautifully polished this was and how well constructed it was.

@reality-blind i look forward to playing a post jam version if you do continue to develop it!
Great game Matt, loved the way you've blended classic stealth mechanics with the CCG genre.
As @Colin Misbach mentioned, i also found it a little too easy to avoid enemies at times. I think giving the player some extra rewards for initiating & completing the combat phase could counter this.
It could be that giving a secondary purpose to the cards outside of combat & rewards from combat may fix this, giving the player the option to balance their resources in combat vs non-combat activities.
Absolutely loved the atmosphere & mood created by the minimalist style & non-interfering background music, only minor point if i were picking issues would be that the card changing noise is a lot louder than the other sfx & music and feels a little jarring.
Overall fantastic game, great work! I can't wait to see if you do more and take the project further :-)
