Hey there, I like everything about this game, the graphics, the sounds, the music, the game play, it was all good, if anything, you could explain to the player more of what their objective is, like maybe thru the picture on the loading screen, like have a picture of the clouds getting closer to the stars, and the player shooting the clouds or something like that, because for a second I did not know what to do. Also I had no idea the flower was growing, and the game was based around that, maybe that was just be not paying attention, but you could maybe put that flower in the title of the game, or make that kind of more pronounced to the player before hand, but all in all, this was a really cool game, good work!

This game was a really beautiful game. I love the art style of the game too. How to play the game is a little unclear but it plays pretty solidly so great job!

Beautiful game with incredible retro style art style and sound design. This remind me a lot of Prince of Persia, the first one. It took me a while to figure out that the flower growth was the objective, I understood it as a score tracking system without UI at first. Overall, the game is a very nice and cute chill experience.

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/_Upt3PIzndo?t=2h54m55s )

Interesting game! Loved the art and sound design! Maybe the flower could be placed more into the middle, as it's so important for the game. Also, I wasn't realizing at first that the shadow monsters attack the stars, affecting the flower. Some visual feedback would have been helpful there. And maybe you could've also switched up the gameplay a bit/introducing new elements to shooting the monsters. Although repeating the same thing can be very relaxing too, depends what you want to achieve.

All in all a really cool entry for the ears and eyes!

Very nice chill experience. I was trying to just my MLG-PRO skills to zap all the space gunk in a row, and in the end, I grew a space flower. Not much of a challenge, but still had really nice music and made me feel relaxed. The fact that the world wrapped did a good job of selling the small world theme. It was fun, and I'm glad that I grew that space flower, but where are those stars attached from? No one will even know! Thanks for sharing your game with me. =)

Nice colors and sound. The mechanics are very simple and the space is too big to control. Somehow the ray is hitting things in line behind it. But it's a nice small game.

Really love the Pixel Art for this one. The gameplay was extremely simple, yet it feels less like its trying to be an intense game of action or strategy and more like a slow story. Reminded me a lot of the style and feel from A Flight of Dragons. If you've ever seen that movie.

This seems like a type of game you could turn into just about anything. Either a magical game about exploring the life and world of an ancient wizard. It could even be the lord of dreams. It certainly feels that way with the stars being hung by ropes.

I didn't really have any complaints about this game. Other than that I wish it had the option to resize a bit easier. Aside from that the controls were smooth, the laser you fire always registered with the evil clouds, and I thought the music was a good choice. Nice work.

Nice work. Very simple mechanics, which worked in the game's favor. The atmosphere was very well done. The calming music and the art style worked together to set a very pensive (not sure if i'm using that word right) mood. The pixel art was very polished. Also, I liked the fact that the objective was vague. The intro images (with the player planting the flower) were enough to tell me what to do, but I'm glad it didn't explicitly spell it out for me. It made the mood all the more interesting. Great job!

I loved the graphics :)

I'm not sure if I played it right. I shot the clouds with the laser and then the flower grown.

The beginning story was somehow confusing too...

Thanks for sharing :)

Nice game with very simple and attractive mechanics. It's a little bit too short, but GJ. Maybe(IMHO) it would be better if you will add some mechanics based on connection between rate of shooting and growing a plant and will have a little bit longer gameplay time =)

Lovely graphics and game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVqPS9hBhlk

It took me a bit to parse the story screen, despite the good graphics; I thought the flower pot was a well at first. I didn't have any problems figuring out how to play the game though.

joekinglake 2017-05-16 11:25

Lovely graphics - really love the style you have and the little comic book style story you had. Great little game, awesome stuff! :-) Reminds me of a children storybook or a stage!

porcus-pie 2017-05-16 11:32

What a beautiful game. The artstyle and audio really work hand in hand together and deliver a suprisingly soothy and peaceful aesthetic. The gameplay itself is also rather fun, and not too hard, which would have contrasted against the look of the game. The laser had just enough cool down for you not to be overpowered, yet you were able to not be underpowered at the same time. So a fantastic game, nice work

remco 2017-05-16 18:32

I can't believe nobody mentioned 'Le Petit Prince' yet! There's even a bit about 'your love' in the description! :expressionless:

Hm, *that* may be why people had difficulty grasping the goal of the game... I could see it being a bit confusing if you don't get the connection.

Anyway... lovely game! You might want to have some visual indication for the cool-down on the lasers though maybe?

A highly enjoyable, relaxing experience. Had a wonderful time growing my plant while listening to the surreal music, combined with the flawless pixel art! Mechanically this has a lot of potential for development such as with a variety of enemies and weapons etc. Overall though this has been one of my favourite entries - nice job!

bog13 2017-05-16 20:49

Poor gameplay imo but great realisation. The music is very nice and the graphics are really beautifuls. I think a better explaination of what the player have to do and a more deep gameplay would make this game an incredible one :)

gozz 2017-05-16 21:27

Gamplay is really simple but I really enjoyed the music and the ambiance of the game.

You did a really good job, I really think you can do better, you have such a great atmosphere, I'd like to see more. The controls are really basic and the theme is respected but maybe too simple.

By the way I really enjoyed playing it, the music is really amazing. Great job guy hope to see you on next jams !

mathijs750 2017-05-16 21:30

I took me a few tries to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. After an "aha"-moment with the into screen I enjoyed myself immediately. I like the use of colour and the calm music. The character could move a bit faster though. :blossom:

rubel-nmb 2017-05-16 21:37

Thanks for playing my game! I rated your game too how I promised.

My flower is grown, yay! Nice graphic and music

superbusyrobot 2017-05-16 21:38

Really loved a lot of this, and yeah, I totally got the Le Petit Prince references going on here too. Two minor things, I think you should definitely build in a quick-restart option on your Game Over screen since you have one in place and there's not a lot of explanation of what's going on, and the other thing I noticed is that the ray may need to be disabled when players are stepping behind the towers or else it kind of gives away the magic of how you're porting the player from one level to another so abruptly.

Don't take these as serious complaints or anything, though. Overall, I really liked just about every aspect of the game.

devigner3d 2017-05-16 22:19

i loved the game and the graphics the music very well keep it up.

check up my game guys :)

rahtainka 2017-05-16 22:42

It reminds me a lot of le petit prince. The music and the grafics are really good. And i like the game mechanics as well. Maybe it's a little bit to simple. I would like to see more :)

morrilet 2017-05-16 23:02

The art and music were good (though the music became a little annoying after a while), and the idea seems interesting. It took me a while to figure out what was going on, but I never actually figured out how to stop the clouds from covering up the stars. Overall this game looked great, but it was too unclear about the gameplay for me to thoroughly enjoy it.

c4tfly 2017-05-17 18:39

Nicely done! Really cute game mixed with some intensity! A pause menu or some sort difficulty ramp-up could probably do wonders!

xxdoombox 2017-05-19 20:16

hey cool game! the art is wonderful. the style is great, it was really pleasing to look at. the music is fantastic as welll!! honestly i think that is the best part of the game. the art and music also went together very well so that it built a nice atmosphere. the gameplay was not really fun. shooting the clouds was too slow and there was an overall lack of feedback to the only game mechanic there was. that being said i still enjoyed it quite a bit because of the art and music. if you continue to work on this after the jam (and you really should) i think you could bring the gameplay up to the same level as the art and music and it could be really fantastic!

unidaystudio 2017-05-20 02:52

Wow, great art and audios!!

This game made me remember my old times playing classics platformers.. That's a great feeling! :D

Good job!
