Very interesting entry. Now you have a good concept for a game, and my suggestion is think in a way to make the machine instructions more intuitive to lay peoples.
Good job!

Very interesting entry. Now you have a good concept for a game, and my suggestion is think in a way to make the machine instructions more intuitive to lay peoples.
Good job!
Good entry. It was the first beat em up like game I've played on this jam. I liked the way you destroy the enemies, breaking everything.
Good job!
Good game and music. But you should add more challanges to the game...
Good job!
I've liked the graphics and the sound a lot, Awesome art, fits very well with your game. But I wass very lost playing... You should make a tutorial, and give to the player a feedback when they do something. I've no idea if I was doing the right thing or just randomly playing :/. I've spent some time reading your texts here, to find out how to play.
But your game have a lot of potential! You're on the right way! Good job! :D
Wow! Very Interesting Game! I really enjoyed it a lot! My record was 200 seconds. The game is very hard and challenging. I've nothing to complain about. Awesome!
Great strategy game! But I spent a very long time trying to discover what I have to do and what happens if I spawn each kind of character. Maybe a tutorial before the game should be great. I've finished the game on Easy... You should change the OMG to "Chuck Norris"! haha. Great game!
Good Idea. If I stop moving the ball, it goes to the other side of the planet and the gravity goes crazy! LOL. (not a bug, just funny to see). I think you should add more sound effects (like a feedback everytime that the ball touch the ground) and a "red cube" or a "bomb", that you can't touch him will be good.
Good job!
That's great! I like the mechanics and all the challenges/puzzles possibilities of the game mechanics. But I think you should explore more this puzzles, doing more levels (just becoause I had fun playing, and wanna play more!). I've found a glitch: when you're falling too fast, the player ignores some platforms and keep falling. I didn't understood the arena. Is it online? Will be great.
Good job!
I spent some time trying to understand the game. Then, I came back here to read careful your description, and then, I could play. If you create a quick tutorial explaining how the game works (especially because the game have more than 1 control, to each people playing), you'll offer a much better experience. After this "learning time", I had fun playing and trying to keep in place. The hovercraft mechanics are very fun! :D
You rock with the sound design...
When I opened the game, all my attention was called with your music and sound fx. And my first impression, even before playing was: "OMG! This game will provide hours and hours of playing and FUN! WOOOOOW." And then... I've started to play... And I've to say: You commited some bad design practices... Because you don't gave a chance to the player to beat all the asteroids coming. This is not fun or hard, this is frustrating... I recommend you to do 2 things and test (maybe you can solve this problem with just the first suggestion, or both, this is why you should test): * STOP making two or more asteroids falling on opposite directions at the same time! This is baaaaaD!!! * Give a small UI feedback to the player when some asteroids are coming.
Your game have A LOT of pottential, but this practice ruined my expectations :/ I really wanna spent hours and hours playing your game... So if you solve this problem, please, tell me! I'll be happy to play again and give you a new feedback! :D
Good job!
Wow! Very cool game! A great puzzle entry! How did you planned this so good? I've a lot of problems planning puzzles, this is why I've admired your entry a lot! And you make a good learning curve, Making the own game a tutorial, progressing when we learn. That's good design! :D I can say that you've done a good and polished project! Very well planned.
Good job!
Wow! You rock :D I'm not a big card game player too, but I've enjoyed a lot this game! I really wanted to play this with my friends. You've made a good game mechanics, Not too hard to understand, and fun to play! PS: The audio of the game fits with the actions, and gave them a good feeling.
Good job!
I've liked the game, but it is VERY hard... :/ this ruinded my expectations... When I started playing, the sound and the ambientation of the game makes me feel alive, and makes me want to play A LOT, but when the enemies start coming, I realised that they are VERY hard :/. I don't know if I don't understand the mechanics, if I don't, probabilly you need to make a tutorial, or something like this. I really will enjoy to play this again, after your feedback here...
Good job! :D
This game is very fun, I 've enjoyed to play! And I've laughted when I saw how the world create new humans. LOL. The only issue that I've found is the shoot being deleted when they reach the position that I've clicked... You should make them keep following the same position until they go out of the screen. You've made a good work. I had time to learn the mechanics, and the game was going progressively more hard. Good design!
Good job!
Congratulations, you've made a Dark souls, but harder! LOL!
This game is haaard, but FUN!, and have a great learning curve. I've spent a lot of time playing and trying to unlock all the features. Great controls, I had to learn how to use the physics to help me to win. .Very well planned.
Good job!
For some reason, I couldn't play the game anyway on my browsers (chrome and mozilla), I don't know what happened, but I'm having the same problem in all the web games posted on Gamejolt... Can you make a windows build, or something like this? I really wanna play your game, I'm very curious about them, and the graphics looks awesome!
Thanks! :D
Pretty fun puzzle game!
Not impossible, but not very easy. This game made me think, and be happy when I solved the puzzles. I can say that you've made a very polished and planned game. The game mechanics are balanced and fun. My only suggestion (but not a problem) is: Stop hiding the mouse when I'm inside the scene. :/
Good job!
Great! I've liked the game, If you want to improve more, you can remove the automatic Aim (this makes me immortal, because I just need to keep pressing LMB to kill everything) and make a mouse aiming, with some objects that I can't hit. This will make the game even moore fun!
Good job! :D
Great game! I've liked the art a lot!
Good job! :D
Great concept, but easy. Basically, a game that you have to wait... and wait... and wait... I don't understand the chat. Maybe you should add some stories after each adventures, or add an enemy to disturb you. And create some relation between what I'm doing in the game... For example, why should I build walls? This will help me?
More one time, great concept, but you need to rethink about the mechanics..
First of all, "spanked monkey", thats a great name! lol
You've made a good job. Very polished entry. I just miss a feedback showing me better what character I'm controlling. If they are near each other, it's veory hard to see what I'm controlling. I've liked the graphics and the sound effects.
Good job! :D
Graphics and sound are great, but I didn't understand what I have to do, I just kept walking in the scene..
Good job!
Great! I think you should give to othe player a second chance when an enemy hit him, add a Lifebar, or a chance to trade some coins by a new life... But I've liked the concept, and spent some time having fun trying to avoid the enemies and catch all the coins!
Good job! :D
Wow! Definitly, a small world, for those creatures! Great project!
Good game. And I have to tell you that I LOVED the sound effect! You should make the planets near, with the same color, be destroyed too.
Good job!
Okay, you made it!
One of the bests ld38 entries. This game is funny, and cool! Good graphics and good music! The way you made the sound fits with the gameplay ... Awesome!
But I had a bad problem while playing ... Keep spinning around the planet made me VERY, VERY, VERY dizzy. I had to leave the computer for a few minutes after playing. This is very bad ... I do not know how you can solve this problem, but maybe, if you reduce visual information (like the stars) while spinning fast, and apply a motion blur will help prevent this issue.
But I do not wanna reduce your merits for this awesome game because of this.
Good job!
The game make feel a little bit lost, without any feedback if my character is really moving. I think you should smooth the movements to solve this problem, not just teleport the character to the next grid position. When I pick up a icon, it keeps there. I think you should delete them.
Good job!
Interesting Concept! You should try to give to the player mote autonomy, like run, punch someone and run from the guards, or even grab the basketball, aim and throw him. And I find a little bad thing... When you start the game, no matter if you click one million time to drink, the guy will not, this is okay, but then you go away, the guy talk to you that they need to drink something... :/
Good job, I'll enjoy playing a future version with this unique concept...
I spent some time trying to learn how to play. I think if you put a "tutorial map" will be great. After this time, the game start being very fun. Great Music! :D
@erick Yes, I've seen the tutorial button, I was talking about learn how the game reacts with the mechanics... The tutorial Map should be a "empty noob room", that you have to go from the point A to B, just to feel how the player react with the controls. But you've done an awesome job! :D
Wow, very creative entry. I've laughed a lot when I listened the character"talking". The audio was very fun.
Good job! :D
Wow" I've watched your timelapse, I can't believe you made the entirely engine from scratch! That's amazing! I'ma game engine programmer too, and I know how much work you have to do. And you made it!
The game is a good start for a great and polished project, the camera movements are very intuitive. My suggestion, if you wanna keep working on this game (and this will be awesome), is to start to, indirectly, show the player what they have to do, and why (simple storytelling).
The game engine itself, I really liked! The terrain editor works very fine too. Very interesting entry!
Good job!
Wow, a thirteen year old game developer, thats awesome! I've started my jorney with about this age, but I've losted a lot of time (years and years) trying to develop big and ambicious games, this really don't work. You're on the right way: keeping everything simple and interesting. Also, be a LD jammer is an AWESOME way to learn even more about game dev.
I've liked your art a lot. Good job, keep doing!
Very polished game, but I thing you have to add some interface objects to show when as asteroid is coming. Sometimes I'm on the other side of the planet and the asteroid fall without give me time to defense. The power ups really help me with this issue, but I think you should work more on this... Every asteroid have to give the player a chance to defeat them, or this will make the player angry...
Good job!
LOL
This game is very Fun. I've liked your voices and conversations. The notebook is a little bit bugged, sometimes it didn't appear! But this is ok.
Good job!
First of all: You need to add a tutorial screen, showing how to play!
After I came back here and read your description (and find out how to play), I had fun playing. Good art.
Good job!
Ok, definely, you Rock! The first game that I give 5 starts in all... This game is really FUN! I had A LOT of fun playing and trying to not kill any human. I even know what to say... AWESOME job!
You should keep doing this game, and add some power ups, I don't know, the game itself is great! VERY SIMPLE idea, AWESOME game!
Good Job!
Great game! I love the graphics, you've made a great job with this. My Only suggestion is give a feedback when an enemy is coming. I've had a lot of fun exploring the universe (the bee is a little bit slow, but ok). And I've liked the particles to show you if you're near something in the universe.
Good job!
Wow, great art and audios!!
This game made me remember my old times playing classics platformers.. That's a great feeling! :D
Good job!
Great game! Very well planned, and I've liked the art and how you explain everything! Nothing to complain.
Good job!
I think you do a great job with the edges (yeah, awesome job! It is great to look at)... But you forgot all the game... Almost no connections between the gameplay and the edges. You should work more on this connections...
Great! :D
Great game! I love the fact that the bullets follow the planet, I had fun trying to make the player 2 kill itself... The mechanics and the gameplay are very good. The graphics are very good, but I think that more work on the main menu will make the game even better!
Awesome job, congratulations!
Great job!
Very intuitive and polished game, easy to undestand the mechanics. Good puzzles! The graphics makes me wanna play! I just have a bug report: The first time that I've opened, the train didn't appear! So, I updated the page (f5) and everything works! Maybe you should work a little bit more in the camera movement!
Good job!
Wow! That's a great idea! My cousin will love this game (she is a dentist, and a gamer). Fits with the theme, and have a potential to reach different kinds of publics (like my cousin).
Good job!
This is what I'm talking about! Great game, with progressive evolution and a very well planned TUTORIAL (most of the LD games don't have a tutorial, and this is baad!).
I 've nothing to complain. I just missed the sounds :/.
Great job!
I'll definitely not be and Nuclear Engineer... I can't even pass from the tutorial :/ By the way, great graphics!
Wow, a text based game! That's very interesting. I loved the fact that the game has voices. I've tried to implement voice dubbing in my game, but I'd no time for it :/. Good job! :D
Wow! very beatiful and polished game!
I loved the graphics and the audio. It fits veiry well! And you built an entirely story around the game!
Very good job!
Nice entry.
Nice graphics. My only suggestion is to work a little bit more on the UI, to make the colors and the icons more visible (the dialogues are hard to read because of the light color).
By the way, good job! :D
The ship is a little bit hard to control, but ok.
I've liked the main idea of the game.
Great job! :D
Wow, great game!
Very polished for a LD entry. I just miss a main menu, but this is totally understandable because of the short time. The mechanics are very easy to learn (since that your ship came near to the enemies), and the graphics... Wow! Amazing graphics! I love it!
I think I 've nothing to complain... awesome entry! Congratulations!
I don't know why, but the mouselook didn't work well here... You didn't reset the mouse position, so my mouse kept going out of the screen and making me click on my PC windows. When I shoot, the camera change the position drastically. Try to make a bug fix version, and notice me!
By the way, great graphics :D
I really enjoy the pixel art minimalistic graphics of your game! It fits very well with the main proporsal. My feedback it to try to make a more friendly controls! I don't know that is why I'm not familiarized with 2D games, but I've died a lot of times because I wass trying to jump with the Up arrow instead of Z.
But okay.. I'd spent some time trying to learn the new controls, and then, the game gets very interesting! Much more that I've experienced at the first time! This is haard! And I've liked this! So, very solid and fun entry! I'm kinda impressed!
Good job!
@connorses Probably a bug! The game runs slow (low fps) in your pc?
I don't understand how the mechanics works :/ You should make a tutorial!
By the way, great graphics!
Ok, I definelly give to you a good rating. I just loved the art and the sound of the game. And the mechanics works very well! Unfortunally, I don't have a friend to play with me, but I've tried to figure out how everything works alone.
Very good entry. I could see that you have a lot of experience at art.
Nice job! :D
Great game! Nice mechanics, sound and graphics!
I don't know if this was a bug, but I can't jump from one wall to other, and because of this, I didn't know how to pass some levels... :/
Good job!
Ok, great job! Very easy to understand the mechanics. I'd just missed a pathfinding to avoid the walls!
Good entry!
Wow! Solid ld Entry! Interesting game, easy to figure out how to play and how the mechanics works. Not that hard, but not easy! (literally not! and I like it!). My only suggestion (if you want some feedback) is to make the HUD smaller, to make the player better visualize the scene.
Good job! :D
I'll give you the feedback in portuguese, alright? :D
I'll give you the feedback in portuguese, alright? :D
Gostei bastante do game,a narração no começo ficou bem massa, achei engraçado.
Wow, a text game! I've likes the way you mixed texts and sounds to tell us your story. My only feedback is to work a little bit more on the UI. I know that this is a text game, and can be done without any UI interferences, but I personally thing that if you do a friendly UI, it will call even more attention! But this is just a feedback about something that I know that was probrabilly not the main focus if the game... Soo: Very good entry! :D
The controls are very strange... Actually, I don't understand much what is happening... :/
Really cool game. I liked the graphics stype. Good job!:D
Very interesting game! Good job!:D
Python game! I love this language. haha. By the way, interesting game! Good job! :DDDDDD
Great game! :D
I enjoyed the art of the game. Very interesting. Good job! :D
Have you created an entirely game engine for the jam? Wow, amazing!! I liked the graphics a lot! You've made a great job here! Congratulations! :D
Have you created an entirely game engine for the jam? Wow, amazing!! I liked the graphics a lot! You've made a great job here! Congratulations! :D
Haha. We have a great game here! I liked the idea of the game, and the graphics! Very simple idea developed very well! Good job! :D
Haha. We have a great game here! I liked the idea of the game, and the graphics! Very simple idea developed very well! Good job! :D
Haha. Pretty fun! The sound changing and the image getting distorting helps a lot the mood of the game! Good graphics. The collision detection are a little bit glitchy (a lot of my punchs didn't affect the ennemies). By the way, the game are very creative!
Good entry! :D
Interesing concept!! I liked the graphics a lot! Good job! :D
very fun game! I liked it! Good job! :D
I don't understand the mechanics very well. but ok. :/
Very interesing idea! I liked the graphics a lot! Good job! :D
Great game! I liked!
Great game! Very creative. You'd made a good use of design to show us where the ghosts are, and this made a lot of differences. What I think you guys should improve is the timing of the animation when the character is going up / down to the ladders. The animation is kinda slow and glitchy. But this is okay, not a big problem, just a note. And I wanna give you a suggestion: Why not put some point and click elements? : D Again: Great entry! : D
WOW. This is a full FIVE STARS GAME!
I've to assume that the controls are kinda hard (and the mouse don't appear on the menus). BUT.... This is game is VERY FUN! I thing that is the LD game that I've spent more time playing. And I'll probally play it again later! (Actually, I'm showing this game to my friends).
Congrats, you Rock!
Amazing job here! :o
Very different concept from what we're seeing today. and I liked it! Good job! :D
loool The sound effects are funny!
I've spent some time trying to figure the mechanics, a tutorial at the beggining should be great. I've liked the art too!
Good entry! :D
Ok. Five Stars. Really, you rock, dude. I can't believe. Perfect usage of the theme. I don't have anything to tell, just say that you've made an awesome job!
Congratulations! :D
WOW! I can't believe that this game don't game audio! Cuz the game is fantastic! Excelent use of the theme, the mechanics are great. Very fun and interesting. The tutorial on the beginnings helps a lot too. My only feedback is about the Space Key Explosion... This is kinda cheating, isn't it? I just stopped shooting and started to just aim and SPACE, BOOM! lol. By the way, very great entry! If you put some audios, it will be perfect.
Haha. Interesting concept. Good job! :D
Wow. YThe atmosphere is hopeless! Liked it. :D
NOTE: It is even more hopeless if you don't read the tutorial after starts playing. Cuz you don't know what u've to do. HAHA.
Good job! :D
Very interesting (and creative) idea! Good job! :D
Wow, the graphics are just amazing! I liked the game a lot! Good job on it! Wow, the graphics are just amazing! I liked the game a lot! Good job on it!
Great Game. The art at the beginning are very great. I expectedthat the entirely game will be like this. LOL The ennemies are very dark souls. I found impossible to hit them with my sword without take damage. :/ And the spider... The spider are kinda fast! By the way, great game at all.
Good job! :D
Great game! I liked the concept of it! Good job! :D
Amazing! I’ll do the feedback in Portuguese, because I know that you speak on this language, ok? :D
Curti bastante o game!
Very interesting idea! Good job! :D
Amazing! I'll do the feedback in Portuguese, because I know that you speak on this language, ok? :D
Thanks guys! @yamifive I used my default character (this one that you sent). I don't know if this is a problem. (I made the rest during the jam).
By the way, I made this model in about 3-4 hours... and the entire game took me (counting the time that I spent outside the computer eating, etc) EXACTLY 25 hours and 29 minutes. How I know this exact time? Because I recorded everything for a timelapse.
By the way, thanks for the advice. I added a note in the description. And I'm waiting for your feedback about the game.
Thanks for the feedbacks!
@mero do you read the note that I added?
Timelapse: https://youtu.be/ELYZ9Ys4uYw
I little bit hard to visualize the floor levels but I liked a lot! Very interesting concept. Congratulations for the amazing entry!
That's a very interesting game! Some levels are hard but very funny to play! Congratulations for the amazing game!
Wow, you made a very interesting game here! Congratulations! I liked the art and the concept of the game. Well done.
You made an amazing art here! Congratulations!
Ok, you made an amazing job here! I really appreciatted you game a lot! Fits very well with the game jam theme and it's very funny and interesing to play! You rock, congratulations!
Hey, you made a very interesting game with great graphics! Well done, congratulations!
Note: Just an advice: You need to rate other people games as well so your game will appear in the top searches of the jam and you'll re cieve tons of great feedbacks. So you have 9 days (starting from now) to do this. Keep it up! :)
Your game reminds me Portal A LOT! Very interesting concept and great graphics. Well done, congratulations!
Hey bro I can see that you put a lot of work on this project, especially in the game art! Congratulations for the entry!
Very interesting project! I specially liked your art. Very fluid animations. Keep it up. Congratulations!
You guys put a lot of effort here! First of all: metroidvania is an AMAZING genre to work with and you guys made an amazing job with this. I loved the art and the game idea as well. So congratultions!
I gave you five start because you made a really amazing piece of art here! Very interesting concept and gameplay mechanics. Congratulations!
Very interesting game but I have an advice that frustrated me a lot during the gameplay: For some reason, the keyboard didn't worked as well. I pressed Right Arrow and nothing happened and I tried other times until it starts working again... I don't know exactly why, but this bothered me a little bit.
But you game is very interesting and the game idea fits very well with the ludum dare 43's theme. Well done, congratulations!
Very interesting concept! A little bit hard, but funny! And I liked your ar a lot! Congrtulations!
Hey bro, you made a very good job here! I loved how you personified the vulcano. This thing made me remember a great video from extra credits when he mention how well Nintendo does this with their characters. o you're making a great progress here. I loved your art as well. Congratulations!
Very interesting concept! I liked your art a lot. Congratulations!
I liked your art a lot and the sound really increased the mood. But I'd like to suggest you to add a small tutorial during the gameplay. I felt kinda lost trying to figure out how to play when I started. But great game!
Hi! For some reason this character reminds me Trump. (lol). I loved the low poly art. My feedback is: when the animal changed, it's hard to see this.Maybe adding an UI element to show the change... but Great game, congratulations!
Very interesting entry. When I opened the game I realized that it will be a great game just because of the small details that you put in the title. My only suggestion is to change the tutorial font. It was a little bit hard to read, specially for me that don't speak english very well. But amazing game, congratulations!
Hey, very interesting entry. It fits very well with the theme and made me think about overpopulation. I specially liked the menus and how you created very well in a very solid and consistent way. The game ide is interesting, but I found this a little bit easy to play. Maybe if you add some kind of blocks that we can't cut it will help a lot. Congratulations!
Ok, I just gave you guys 5 stars in all categories. I will be really impressed if this game don't win in some category. Why? Simple: Because you guys made an AMAZING JOB here! Very well done, I loved the art, the concept and the marketing stuff (like the trailer). Well done, Congratulations!
Amazing job here! First of all I'd like to to congratulate you because you finish this game jam. This task is not for everyone! You game has a very interesting concept and I really believe that if you take more time to work on it you can push it up even more! Congratulations!
The characters in the background really build the mood of this game! That's a very interesting concept and entry. Congratulations, well done!
I saw that you added a portuguese option, so I'll assume that you know how to speak and give the feedback in PT:
Cara, fantástico! Precisava escrever em português para poder me expressar ainda mais. Te deu cinco estrelas pois você teve uma ideia excelente e a executou com maestria: gráficos interessantes, gameplay divertido e um jogo muito simples e eficáz no que promete. Meus parabéns, sério! Sucesso!
Hey, John is a very charismatic character, with his big and white eyes. lol
Very interesting game, keep it up!
You made a FANTASTIC art in this game, but I didn't understand why not adding some challenge to play. I basically just have to click? By the way, great progress! :)
Hney, very interesting and funny game! Keep it up, congratulations!
Glad to see that I found your game to play. I was following your updates during the jam, your art is outstanding. :)
Wow, this Ludum Dare page is looking fantastic. I'm a marketing guy and I know the importance of the main Landing Page. I likes the game idea as well, well done. :)
I have to say, for some reason, your map kinda reminds me the [gold Shadow of The Colossus from playstation 2.
That's a very solid concept. I first saw your game on a Randomized User LD45 gameplay and then I wanted to play. Good that I finally found your entry here.
Hi! Your GUI is looking fantastic! Have you made it from scratch? Can you tell me a little bit more about your UI's workflow? I like the visuals.
I have to say: I love when people combine simple pixel art graphics with cool lighting. Well done and five stars on graphics for this. :)
Interesting, I've beeing wondering for a while on how a completely 3D but outlined graphic will look like in a game. Your entry is the answer. I really enjoyed. Five stars for you on this. :)
Hi folks! Thanks for all the amazing feedbacks! I appreciatted it a lot!
I made a gameplay video: https://youtu.be/Q0vZNszZErA
Upbge squad here! Glad to see your project here! Congratulations for the entry!
Hi, Folks! Thank y'all for the amazing feedbacks! I made a short gameplay video:
https://youtu.be/NNFDuCqADpw
Hey, @lanalux , your itch page seems blank so I can't play it... but I'm looking forward for it!
Vou jogar!
Hey, PSV, nice to see you around here! Loved the game and congratulations for being part of the LD48!
I have to say that you've made a very impressive and polished game. I would be surprised if you didn't endup in the top games of this jam. Well done!
Overcooked vibes! And surpassed my expectations! Well done! Do you mind if I share the game with a couple of friends as well so they can play it?
Thumbs up for using such a clean and minimalistic visuals and color palettes. Well done!
Wow! Another amazing Brazilian game!
That's a simple but interesting game. I love the entries that somehow used physics to add to the game mechanic and your project is all about that! Well done.
Also, something important: The game's itch.io page is unavailable. I'm guessing you forgot to make it publish? Becuase itch makes the page private by default. But the gamejolt page is ok.
Hey man, you're doing great so far! I'm glad to see and be able to download and play another game you made. I liked the game, specially the appearence of the characters. They're simple but eye catching with a lot of personality. Well done!
Note: I loved the moustaches!
Opaaa!
Hey, man, nice to see you around in another game jam, specially another Ludum Dare! You already know that those jams can change your game developer life forever due to the outstanding amount of knowledge and experience you acquire from it. I liked the game, specially the graphics, they're very well done. Congrats!
I'm loving to find and play some Brazilian games here! Makes me so happy, especially because I know you as a dev as well.
You have a very interesting game ide and concept here. Educational games are interesting and you have a good point here on the english pronunciation. I think that with a bit of polish you'll be able to come up with a solid commercial idea from this project. Also, the fact that you took the effort to recognize audio ingame is amazing!
Well done, congrats for the entry. :)
You know what? That's what I call a very well presented game. Nothing to say, just a couple of five stars for you! :)
I really feel like it should have more 3D games like that on LD. Well done, congrats! :)
And also... You've made it using CORE! That's impressive, it was the first time I see a Core game in a jam.
Fun game, keep it up!
5 out of 5
Wow, that's an amazing entry! I liked the mechanics (fun game!) and the graphics... it always amazes me when someone combines 3D games with 2D sprites! Well done!
It looks like we have a Tony Hawk Witch here! And I loved it! :)
Great entry! I liked the game and the pixxel art graphics! Well done!
Nice game! I liked the puzzle aspect of it. Also, good work in the art: specially the colors palletes.
Wow! Such a nice game with interesting graphics... may I ask how you've made them? Very unique art style, keep it up!
Oh, niceee! I loved the Chef as well and it looks like I'm not the only one to like it, based on the comments! Good experience, well done!
Nice game! Gave me some cool vibes, specially due to the graphics!
Nice game! I loved the art style of it. Have you made it yourself? Good job!
Physics, Top down, nice graphics and intuitive (and in game) tutorials. Well done, fun game!
It's always a fun idea to combine an old man with internet, isn't it? So you've made a cool game using those concepts, well done!
Hi! Guilherme here and I know that you have plenity of feedbacks already, but your game is one of the ones that I've kept opened in a chrome tab since during the event to play it later. And today was finally the time to do it!
First things first, what really catched my eyes on this game was the visual aspect of it! I saw you in your posts during the jam event and that's what made me decide to give it a try. "Shadeless" 3D graphics with hand painted textures is not something that everyone can do well and you'hve definitely done it. I have so many questions on that! (if you don't mind) ahah. But I'd love to hear any tips and tricks that you may find useful to share regarding the art of your game. It is really impressive. I likes how you mixed sprites and 3D together. Took me a while to realize that things like the chair were 2d sprites. Good!
I don't even need to say regarding the user feedbacks. I was reading your feed and the good example you provided on the importance of that (nice test scene, btw). Shooting the enemies felt so fun and satisfying due to the gun and animation work! I really liked it. Is the giant face a sprite as well? I wasn't able to figure it out by myself.
The concept is fun and I liked reading the questions from the doctor. But I have to say that I found it a little bit hard to do it while trying to connect the ying and yang parts during the puzzle section and also still keeping track of the time. Maybe a voice over would help... not sure. But of course, I know that during the jam it is impossible do do something like that, this is more like a tip for the future. I also don't know how the giant doctor faces as enemies connects with the questions, may be not, but it would be even more fun to see some relations between them (maybe in a pos jam release?).
Anyways, well done, @furano! I liked your game a lot and I hope it does get a good high score by the end of the competition. You can count on my five stars review for sure, because I do not regreat saving this game to play it later! Awesome!
Oh, this was actually the first time I've seen and tried a Ludum Dare board game and I liked it! I believe that we should definitely bring more attention to the genre, I'm also tempted to give it a try to make my own as well! (do you have any tips? :P)
Good mechanics, and that's one of the unique aspects of a board game: you can focus on having a great core mechanic and system and all the fun will come with it. Well done!
Opaaaa!
Combining a simple classic game with new mechanics and ideas is always a good option IMO, and you definitely did a good job here! Congrats!
Oh, that's a nice entry! I'll tell you a secret... on every ludum dare jam, I always have something in my mind: "someone will make a very simple yet clever game and win it!" And this is what I'm talking about: simple, 1 button, easy to learn and play, fun! Well done!!
Well done! I liked the graphics: they are simple yet beautiful!
Oh, this game game me some anxiety  Nice horror game entry!
Hey, @siria-games , nice game! I'll give the feedback in portuguese, because I know that's your main language, ok?
Opa!
Nice Voxel art game! Well done!
Great game!
Oh, great! I've made a great job here in the mechanics and the fun graphics! well done
Hi, @hora-timer ! Glad to see you around! Guilherme here and I'll leave my feedback in portuguese, since I know it's your main language, ok?
Nice to see a VR game! It makes me want to try, but I couldn't put my hands on a VR gear yet. Maybe soon! But I'd love to hear from you a devlog, postmortem or something sharing how the experience of making a VR game for a jam was. So if you do it, let me know!
Hey man, loved the graphics and the way you represented the characters. Definitely a point to stand out. Also, have you considered publishing the game on itch.io and/or gamejolt instead of google drive? It may help you a lot attracting new players, even outsiders! (those who did not joined ludum dare but still wants to play).
Was not able to play... I left it loading for a while, but got really stuck in the black screen. Perhaps you could also add a downloadable executable option to play the game?
That's amazing! I'm impressed that you put "ai" in the credits, because I was going to comment here exactly about how good the art looks. Impressive, can you comment a bit about how the process of using AI was? I'm actually interested in this topic a lot.
Special points for the fact that it took me a while to read "bagman" instead of "Batman" (I'm a non native english speaker, so something I mix things up). So in my mind I was batman. :P
Nice entry! Just a side note: I think that the hitboxes are a bit off... I found myself dying (or missing some attacks) when I don't think that I was suppose to.
Opa, marcando presença aqui, Rodrigo! Parabéns pelo game!
IMPORTANT!
You can control the Package MID AIR (read the Pro Tips), but some people were complaining about the mouse sensitivity being too small... and I agree! So I managed to do a small patch a minute before the jam ends increasing it, but I also left this file here:
Screenshot_82.png
That you can edit it yourself and increase/decrease the sensitivity (it gets clamped to the range [0.001, 0.015], btw). It takes some shoots to get used to the controls, but once you do... it gets very fun
Have fun!
Screenshot_85.png
Hi, Yan and everyone at Studio Cherno! I followed the development of this game during the livestream and I'm so happy to see it done and finally play it! Best regards from Brazil and keep the amazing work on Hazel up!
Just two notes regarding the game: - In the main menu, if you open the controls and then press enter, the controls disappear. - I found it a bit annoying to press Enter to close the text boxes, since my hand was already moving the mouse and I had to move them to the Enter position. Maybe just make it close with Left mouse button as well? :)
It's running fine on a GTX 960. But I noticed some flickering sometimes. Not sure why.
Overall, great entry! And it's using Hazel!
Fun fact: Now that the game is 8 KB and zipped is 4, I can fit the entire thing (zipped), in HEX, in a single A4 printable page: image (22).png
(or in two pages, if I unzip it)
If I remove all the text from the game (the tutorials), I can go down to 6 KB:
ld54-file-size.png
But I'm not shipping this version of the game.
Thanks everyone for the amazing feedbacks! @ralian I have the source code linked with the game (it's on my github) and you can check the Makefile, but yes, I've used a lot of compiler flags and tricks to optimize it even more. One of the coolest ones is to not use LIBC (the default C library, that have important stuff like malloc, free, rand, memcpy and so on). I had to implement my own versions of those functions using the Windows APIs. It was a very interesting experience!
@daniel-grinshpon thank you! I wanted to make a game that fits on a QR code or a business card as well, but it turns out that I would have to reduce it even more to be able to fit, sacrificing some cool stuff I had. For example: I can reduce it by around 2 KB if I remove all the tutorial text in the game, making it ~6KB. But then it will be considerably bad in my opinion. So I think that 8 KB is a good trade off and I'm very happy with it.
@someone thanks! Interesting to know that you tried it on mingw. Did you replicate the flags I used for msvc? They will certainly make a lot of difference in the executable size, specially the optimizations and the defaultlib removal. Let me know!
@ava-skoog Thanks! Regarding the bugs, I had to remove so many code for it to fit in such a small executable file, that some of them where sort of hard to completely get rid of without adding back some Kbs.
This was really nice bro!
I managed to finish the game (complete all levels) and I loved them! image (23).png
There is something in the game that makes it feel addicted, I wish I had an addicting idea like that! I kept playing, trying to memmorize the routines and the patterns I had to follow. And I want more levels now! let me know if you do.
Something I didn't like is that the games ticks automatically if you don't move, but there is not much visual feedback of the turn duration. Sometimes I noticed that I was still thinking about where to go and the game ticked another turn and the enemy saw me. Perhaps it's part of the fun, Idk, but generally speaking, I loved the entry!
Also, I noticed that you used LOVE 2D? If so, it's great!
@erlioniel very valid feedback, thank you a lot! What made you feel like there was too much "random dragging"? What could I do to improve it in your opinion?
Hey commenting in advance here because I got notified that you published a game, just to say that I can't wait for the YouTube video. I hope you make them because it's almost part of the LD event to wait for the PixelProphecy video/documentary! Wish you the best!
Oh, and something that I almost completely forgot to add in this page (and at this point I'm too scared of the deadline to hit edit and mess something up by accident) is that the game was entirely made using Cave Engine:
image (58).png
If you don't know the engine, it's an easy to use, fully tested, feature complete, 3D game engine written in C++ and scriptable in Python. Feel free to check it out here:
It was very good to create this project using it.
Hi, Lana, nice to see you on Ludum Dare again! This time I missed the streams because I had to focus extra hard on my game, but I just want to mention here that your ld streams have become part of the event already! So I hope that you release a video on yout YT about the game, so I can keep up with it.
Anyway, it's a very interesting game and mechanics, I loved the planet! Well done.
Well done mate, I love the fact that it is using a custom game engine built upon Python and PySDL2. Keep it up!
Nice. I've also made a submarine game and something that I was finding very interesting while developing the game and reading through LD's Feed and now playing the games is that not many people decided to go with this route and this is exactly the opposite of what I was expecting. So I think we are definitely different for making a submarine game and honestly I like this.
I loved the art style of your game. I tried to make a 3D pixel graphics game once and it's harder than people expect. Well done!
Hey bro, I'm happy to see you here at Ludum Dare, participating on this competition. Of course we hang out together during the development so I know every detail of this game but I still got excited when you finished it and wanted to play it so bad.
Overall, I like the mechanics, the art style and the sound of the game. The fact that you made it all using PICO-8 makes everything even more impressive, so congratulations for that. One thing that I would like to emphasize is that last minute story line you said that you added to the game. I really felt very motivated to keep playing because of the phrases that was appearing as I progressed. I wanted to read them all to understand how deep they are. So in the end, you made the theme of this jam approaching them in two distinct ways: the depth of the hole and also the deepness of the story.
Well done!
