It woud have made a bit more fun with a fitting background music but nevertheless it was quite fun and completely playable. It got a bit boring after some time :/
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD38 → Flat World

I got a kick out of seeing the art up-close after the zoom-in at the end of a match. I figured they were small sprites, but after the zoom-in I could see a lot of detail. Was the art made with a vector tool? Inkscape/illustrator? It has that very crisp, clean look. The gameplay reminded me a little of Tricky Towers, which is a huge compliment. If there was one thing I would ask for, it would be to speed up the gameplay a little. Regardless, I had fun, nicely done!
The art was made with Illustrator yes. It was imported in Unity with the SVG Importer plugin.
Cheers!
Good game but controls its really difficult i trield both but still really confusing
Nice graphics with good, simple animations and a good concept for the game. I found the controls a bit awkward, though, and wound up having to group both of my hands on the left side of the keyboard in order to play effectively. Maybe using W/S for P1 pickup/push, and up/down arrow for P2 pickup/push might be better. That way, each player should be able to effectively play one-handed.
Overall, great job.
The apartments are nice looking and the art is quite detailed! I think the animation for putting down blocks seemed very slow compared to other movements. The controls are also quite awkward :)
Cool game. Nice aesthetic for a fun gameplay - maybe the controls could be improved. Overall it is good enough. Well done ++
PS : Respectfully If you don't understand that my project fits with the theme - it means that you didn't play because this is a FPS in a small arena (a small world). Thank you.
I'm not sure it was working for me? I was able to control it and everything, but getting three in a row never had any effect on anything. (Playing the web build)
After stacking the blocks did you use the push button?
It was a bit confusing. Me and my wife played it but "pushing" the blocks didn't really seem to push blocks to the other side all the time. We were able to clear out the blocks though and had a little fun with it along the way!
Unfortunately the lack of music and the confusion of the controls made it hard for us to really get into it. Nice idea though, with a bit of polish (music, animations/particle effects, maybe a little screen shake) I'm positive you can turn this into something fun.
Nice game, I wonder if web version had a bug, since it didn't seem to do anything when I got three similar blocks next to each other.
There's no bug use the push button...
It's a pretty solid game once you learn the controls, I did have to pause and take a look several times, so maybe add the controls somewhere in game. I'm not sure if you plan to continue this post-jam or what direction you wish to take it, if It were me I would look to remove the push action and automate it, maybe the addition of a white door that doesn't turn into a color until a push happens next to it (Kirby's Avalanche is what I'd aim for)
Some insructions before the beginning of the game would be nice. The concept of the game is interesting, simple and funny. Using it as a single player game against an AI would be very interesting, it could be the new candy crush !
First of all: You need to add a tutorial screen, showing how to play!
After I came back here and read your description (and find out how to play), I had fun playing. Good art.
Good job!
A good use of the theme. I loved the art!
A. Loved the art style. B. Very creative game mechanic! C. I found it a little hard to control (although 2-player on a keyboard usually is). D. I think it'd be really cool if it were to continue and the penalty for reaching the sky with block would be flipping the board! It's much harder to play as the bottom/upsidedown player than the top. Maybe it could be competitive to see who can stay on top for the longest within a set amount of game time? E. Great job!
Interesting game. Hard to understand how the boxes go to the other face, but when understood it was pretty fun to play. Nice graphics too. Great job!
