First thought: dafaq
nice bgm
Mac works pretty good, but the laughter continued after you close it... haha
The sfx is not really, like, shaman evil like. A wisp like shooting with particles might be good! Eerie ambient music makes it even awesome
I wish I can play this in osx....
Nice Watch Dogs style game!
Good idea
Hahah that clown dude became the god :D but I can't finish it, it keeps bringing me to the console page after I chose my decision on whether to be with the 24-Rs
Awesome!
Umm.... I think I found a shortcut in level 2.
Haha, nice game! 300+ casualties as a result of only protecting green side
Quite hard! By the way I cannot hear any music (I think there is supposed to have since I read the comments).
Nice audio, nice graphics, nice idea! I can't get past the second level though haha
I don't really understand what's going on, but its fun
Parkur was always not my thing haha
I'll add a button to speed up the warping process. Thanks!
I used mouseClicked() instead of mousePressed(), so you might want to press and release on the number.
Chrome seems to work fine, probably because of retina. Tested on Mac Air 2012 Chrome and Safari.
hbocao, it's randomly generated haha
snowconesolid, you are meant to send the person to the parallel world.
I couldn't complete the game but I guess that I am controlling some child or something, and the beats are the mother's heart beating?
Love the music! The dude is quite cute though
The OPness of your fingers and keyboard.
nice!
Um... does Nibiru shoots the white stuff? If then it is not working on OSX.
Quite fun!
The earth seems to get stuck every single time.
Controls have some problems.... first time when I played, I glitched through a wall though :D
wow.
Like the way the twitter and facebook changes.
Do you use LAN to play multiplayer or what? Because I couldn't play multiplayer...
Nice concept, though I don't really like the repeating jobs I had to do :D
I couldn't figure it out...
The robots are so tanking! Other than that, there was a very funny glitch where the player's legs will fall to the ground.
I got a lot of swearing because I accidentally set the speed to 28...
This reminds me of a Minecraft map called The Code :D
If there was a fullscreen mode, it will be totally awesome!
7:57 :( A toggleable light and fully covered walls will do!
Way way way better than my first LD. Only thing was that you shouldn't put the unfinished stuff there, it kinda spoiled the graphics. Congratatulations!
I can't wait to play a bigger version with more enemies and graphics!
More booze!
Holy...
I spent so much time coloring the toilet bowl :P
If you can draw on the paper, it will be epic...
Super polished and great, how did you guys make such epic games in 72 hours?
I think you should increase the enemy spawn rate, or those who keep hitting the stones (me) will never get past level 2...
The music's tempo increased when I got to the purple sky? Nice addition!
Nice concept, but how to escape the monster in front?
You should add simple instructions when a new game appears, other than that, it's a very challenging addictive game :P
I can't do anything? Nice music though.
mr. a I made this on OSX but I couldn't export it for myself :P You can download Processing and run the sketch.
SO FUN!!
Left-click and right-click in OS/X version doesn't seem to be working.
Very nice idea!
The game seemed easy for me (maybe rngsus was on my side lol), I just spammed all the newborn into warriors and the dragon was slain. But I really liked the concept! Good work, hope you'll continue this :P
Music a bit too loud, other than that great job!
OSX version displays 'can't be opened'.
WebGL having unknown compression method error.
The survivors have really weird movements after hitting (or almost hitting) something, and the zombie's random movements really impair the puzzle, but I loved drawing the paths and trying to make sure they have fun before dying :P
I'm confused... the only way to continue is to punch the poor guy (Melissa?) ?
I wanted to vote 6/5 for fun but I couldn't find the sixth star
UNCLE GROSH I COME! AND I fail... miserably
I don't understand how the bear's powers work, so I used him as a bear shield... Moz is OP though.
Haha, nice intro!
...and that is why I have receding gums
Very soothing atmosphere and design :)
so krte!
Cool shapeshift and damage/death effects!
Also like the fact that you can attack while running.
Nice puzzle! Music doesn't loop nicely though... other than that, great job!
zacerhy:
all bullets push you out of the square :)
edve98:
Will do! Source code is in unitypackage form.
Thanks guys!
glaze_96:
you're good :O my friends and I could only get a max of 1000+...
edve98:
Linux is now available, scroll to the bottom of the itch.io page to download Linux version and source :)
edve98: I'm experimenting with a difficulty curve, thanks for the arrow key idea :) I forget that I can opt out of categories...
Fun game! Now if only the ghost can control the object while haunting it... flying chairs and tables and cats everywhere
You got me hooked to this game.
Nice concept, music would make this game super relaxing!
HAMMER TIME
OSX: application can't be opened.
That thing in the tank looks scary
*teddy head appears, for some reason enlarged*
holy mother of god!
Best match-3 I've ever played.
Like the lasers and shapeshifting concept!
Somehow reminds me of Ultraman though.
Can someone please explain the "That's it" part? I clicked it around 1000 times and all it does is creating lines.
I'm missing something...
Ah. That's it doesn't work on Safari, OSX.
"That's it" now works on Safari :)
Audio not playing? On Safari OSX.
Dem randomly floating balls blocking others :P
No idea why OSX links to a .exe file. Very challenging :)
The sphere tend to roll to a random direction?
Try constraining rigidbody rotations and reducing movement speed.
I used to release the kraken.
Then I took spikes to the tentacles.
Fun puzzle, the difficulty flew up on "Crossed Concerns" level.
dem tenant go chew on your sofa and sit on your fridge :P
Need a walkthrough. Perhaps a video?
Web version gets laggy at level 5, not sure why.
Interesting idea, but the game is quite hard to win :)
I like how to music changes when the action begins! Character control was really wierd though.
Breathtaking (haha) game!
Very funny, art is also very nice :) Died 11 times to get the first ending... still looking for the second one
Very cool and fitting music! However, the controls are very... twitchy (is that how you describe it?). I think I did not reach the interesting part yet though...
Knight: down to one health fighting the boss
Wizard: (cheeful music plays outside)
Very fun and funny game!
Great idea and fun puzzles :) the cat sound effects really cracked me up!
Quite fun and interesting once you understand how it works. Gameplay feels more like a resource-management game though.
Audio is not playing for me, however...
Very frantic game! It was very fun, although sometimes you can enter the boxes :)
I could only pass the Easy level... cool game, but the dim sprites really hurt my eyes :)
Fun random game! Wish you can explain about the game, what the colours mean etc. somewhere?
@ikigaiseitetsu haha :P it was a last-hour change to the difficulty mechanic (it was spouting 10 different compounds on stage 8) that caused it! I did not have my chemistry textbook around, so I could only go with what little I remember. Thanks for playing :)
@micahcowan it's made with Unity, then exported as WebGL :)
@shillingburg haha, the answer recognition system is a bit wonky so correct answers may be seen as wrong and vice versa :)
@juan @redblack-spade @samurai-spark I spent too much time trying to make it look clean, and overlooked the difficulty and the fact that people may not be able to grasp what's going on just from the first level. This is what exam does to your mind :P
@stevenjmiller thanks for the review! I am currently compiling my high school chemistry notes, and noting down anything that can be improved. I'll release an updated version filled to the brim with Cambridge syllabus compounds! Polymers, metal extraction etc.
@somnium are you writing haikus for every game you comment on? Sweet :) There was a reset button but since I was fairly new to Unity UI I did not have time to set up a confirmation window for it.
@kaystar I don't have those later in the game, haha :) I am currently planning out a similar drill-based level for the whole chemistry syllabus, so even novices can learn a thing or two (may not be applicable in real life though)!
@veralos it just infinitely generate new levels :) I'm planning a post-jam version with these fixes and new variety now!
Very fun game! The models are very creative and detailed :) A bit hard to know exactly what seed does what though, and how do their positions affect the song.
Music and graphics are super epic! However I think the player animation does not convey the sense of urgency very well. There's also a massive spike in difficulty from level 2 to 3 :)
Nice landscape and atmosphere! With some music it will certainly be a blast to play around. You might want to make the invisible walls visible, or wrap around the map.
Very nice story! I did not have time to get the "good" ending, so I just blew everything up. Text are a bit too small and repetitive, maybe you can add some variation into it :)
Simple and fun combat mechanics :) think an indicator of your grabbing range, along with more precise health expressions will be very helpful!
Super fun! You have a very epic party game right here :) Can't stop playing it with @rubyleehs (had a 6-minute long stalemate before I got tired and lost). Did not realise the world spins together with the ball though, that could have been made clearer in the game.
Very interesting and fun to mess about! The "flooding" card constantly screw with my plans to lava the whole planet though. There should be a way to counter the cure for death :)
Beautiful planet! I think some slight modifications on the camera can give it that kinetic exhilarating feeling of going against the authority :)
Very fun and interesting game! A bit hard to know whether the shot is behind the planet or going to hit you though :)
Great idea! If you polish and complete it it'll be a very fun game to speedrun through :) You might want to add a speedrun timer then.
Really liked the game! However, the time limit (after which the planet leaves) can take away some of the fun, making the player blaze through the game instead of appreciating the marvellous environment.
Interesting reimagination of tactic games! I think the camera could be more kinetic though. The enemy ships don't seem to attack my sponge.
Nice and fitting music! The enemies are quite hard to avoid :P
Simple mechanics, great fun and AI, epic music and graphics! Though I'm not exactly sure what Hunt Mode does other than making your cells go away.
I think a 1-3 second grace period that lets the player see the surroundings before the battle commences will be more forgiving on the player :) The art and music is very nice!
Very fun to play with :) beautiful game and music! Didn't really play with the cacti though, they seem to mess up the melody (maybe I'm just bad at music).
The apartments are nice looking and the art is quite detailed! I think the animation for putting down blocks seemed very slow compared to other movements. The controls are also quite awkward :)
Very fun to explore the limits of the game! With some cool graphics you can hook people into the exciting and challenging levels.
A really fun and simple game! I loved the attention to details in graphics :) the music is also amazing.
I was confused the first time, and I thought I had the answer the second time, but I still failed :) the atmosphere is really cool and really driven home the desperation!
@mr-heating @tomdev @automatonvx @jupiter-hadley @graebor
Thank you very much :)
@belowparallel-ian
There are two ways to lose - one is running out of power, and the other is not being able to make any move. Your base attack is 0, and some things require a certain minimum attack. The red X indicates that you are not strong enough to defeat it, and hence unable to act on it.
@oxrock @justinooncx @dracominer
Yes, the tutorial/teaching could do with a lot of improvements - I'm thinking a tutorial level with everything preset, and dialog teaching how to play. Some UI improvements, such as bringing description towards the item itself, could also help :)
@toonteamj @skullpixel @lycaon
Thanks! I'm thinking of making the game more accessible, fix problems and release it as a mobile game :)
Heya, this game looks amazing! However, the game closes itself after clicking 12 o' clock at the circle of stones.
Crash log here: https://pastebin.com/iRkCSEip
Very interesting concept! I think there is a bug, however - the Happiness of characters are either "NaN" or "undefined". Would be great if it is expanded upon (more monsters, more characters etc.)!
Simple and fun to play! However, the thrusters are a bit hard to control - the character does not move up for a second or so, then accelerate upwards quite quickly. I liked the music a lot!
Your game-in-a-games have always been fun to play, and this is no exception! I was not able to go far though :) Didn't know about the shield until I read this page, maybe a tutorial in-game (paper manual?) would be helpful!
Amazing game! The game is easy to understand, but there's some fun strategy going on in there! The lawnmowers and fear didn't affect the game much on medium though - didn't even realise what fear is for :)
The cartoony look and sound effects are very fun! However, I think the camera should move along the y-axis together with the gun so that it's easier to aim :)
Fun idea! Maybe project the light further, so it casts in the direction of the cursor and beyond instead of stopping at the cursor :)
The art is nice - good luck to you for the next jam, can't wait :)
Very hectic and fun game! Everyone just had to ask for stuff buried deep...
@jason-kennedy Thanks! Keeping your ammo empty makes things easier, but you'll eventually need to reload in order to kill the enemies and advance the level :)
@peculiarcarrot @saucygames Thanks :)
@mark-kennedy @masamunedragon Thanks, glad I could capture that feeling in the game!
@backyard-dev @geeitsomelaldy Thanks!
@11tomi12 It's inspired by Teleglitch's gunfire :)
@talia @matthias-schedel @gamepopper @jupiter-hadley @xacur @net3ton @azlen @mr-heating
Thanks for the feedback (:
Woah, I woke up to a pleasant surprise!
@james-studd @larapoi @justin-toyo @peterthehe @blinkeye @cammy @shinyogre @fasterthanlime @miaw @alterkot @gruhh @tay @rainbowjam @annie-owl
Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your comments :)
@velvetlobster @dawik9000 Thanks!
@asghardian-game-studio @spierek Thanks for the feedback :)
@kashif @simon-rahnasto @ueki-shurei2006 Thanks for the feedback!
@patrick-woodcock Thank you :)
@carlosvvk Thanks!
@mgsx Thanks :)
@cerno-b @ddrkirbyisq @moonlightbomber thanks for the valuable feedback :)
I thought a lack of a reload button would make changing enemy speeds more of a strategic thing, rather than just a gimmick.
I'm pretty surprised that the audio was received quite well!
Humorous audio! Would be great if there's some explanation on the game controls.
Simple but fun and intense! Maybe a zoomed-in camera and varying sprites could help with the visual difficulties people are facing :)
Simple but effective gameplay! Wish there was more explanation in-game, and more space to escape (you can tell I was pretty bad at it haha!). Graphics are amazing :)
The underwater sounds are a really nice touch!
Short but fun game, with easy-to-understand controls! Cool art too :)
The audio is amazing, hahah! The player is hard to control though, maybe try setting rigidbody.velocity based on input instead of applying force?
Thanks, @ysty @neipo13 @james-shipp @beard-or-die ! I'm glad the planting-flowers thing worked out :) Audio is something I regretted not doing for this project.
Thank you, @ittinop @haustgeirr @minakon ! What a beautiful garden you've made (:
@ossi @heidi @meatpudding @isaque-picao-sanches thank you, glad you all enjoyed it!
@anstabo @devastus thank you for the feedback! It is 3D (flat petals oriented in 3D). In hindsight, it would be easy to just add arrow buttons to the book, but I guess when time is of the essence these things get thrown to the back sometimes :|
@cobear25 thanks!
@fenderbate yeah, another friend of mine had this issue, but I can't seem to find out why, and it doesn't happen often. I hope you had some fun with it though!
Really fun, enjoyed the different question papers and the SFX (go go)! Very clean visuals too.
Really liked how the enemies emit those sound waves when they're hidden! Nice game :)
Small note, the game doesn't scale properly to a 1440x900 screen - some text and icons were outside the screen. Other than that, it's a pretty cool game!
Thank you @toasteater @velvetlobster @minibobbo !
Agreed on the feedback about audio, I missed the opportunity to add it in. The night raid lasts until you decide to retreat, but I don't think I added any text that says that in-game. These two points will be the first thing to fix if I start a post-jam version!
Thanks, @jayometric and @carraka !
About football, I thought I had coded something that would restrict that choice but now it seems like I hadn't after all... oops!
Thank you, @one-seed-fruit and @datagreed !
The cards are essentially just random chance for failure. Instead of just calculating the result and showing the player the outcome, I thought that drawing cards one by one would be more intense :)
Thank you all, @jk5000 @attala @tangiblegames @jordantanner @purrseus !
When I started the jam, I felt like taking the path less taken, instead of just "HP as currency". I'm glad that paid off!
I like how the game becomes a sort of balancing act - hitting enemies and bullets to earn coins quickly, but also collecting just enough health to stay alive!
Very cool method of interaction! It all clicked the moment I understood what the last sentence of the bad ending meant.
Love the art and audio!
I like how you push boxes into enemies to defeat them! However, in my opinion, the camera area is too small to effectively plan out actions.
Love the minimalist particle effects. Thought it's going to be a normal thrust-like game until the cool puzzles appear!
Love the dashing mechanic, though it would be better if there's a cooldown meter somewhere near the player instead of at the corner of the screen!
Interesting take on the "currency" part of the theme, love the aesthetic and music too! Would be great if it had stuff like "sell all" or "autosell at certain price", since there were times where I missed a great opportunity while typing out the exact amount I had to sell.
You might want to export the WebGL build at a smaller resolution, and disable itch.io's fullscreen button, so laptops with smaller screens can play it :)
I like how the body parts grow! The only issue was that I can't seem to buy anything other than hands...
Thank you, @khod @diaonic @bobotast ~
I didn't have the time to add actual instructions and descriptions of the objects into the game, unfortunately!
@pavel-ivanov @appoxgames @tmullet @khaotom @justinooncx thank you all!
Agreed, I think a scoring system based on keeping buildings alive might make the game more strategic.
@tomeks @guitarbro @chelc @mactinite @redmountainman1 @madbarron thank you all for playing!
Love the music!
Can't drag and drop on Mac for some reason.
Just because the theme is "start with nothing" doesn't mean the game has to start from the start! Brilliant interpretation of the theme! .
Cool and creative idea! However, the word detection sometimes doesn't detect the words I'm trying to form, when I try to add a letter to a formed word.
I like the way you expanded on typical idle mechanics, especially the part where you lead all your friends to build the world!
EXISTING WILL PREVAIL
Nice game, wish that there was more feedback on whether the worker bees are going to collect something I left-clicked, because no one was collecting the things I click... also would be great if I could send guards to different places instead of all to one place!
Really cool aesthetics! Might have a bit too many mechanics to juggle with though.
Really cool concept! You might want to make the subway tower require more energy, because right now I can just rush to the tower, shoot it and go to the next level without using any of the cool mechanics.
Simple but frantic and fun!
I think the story went a bit too fast - maybe add pauses in between sentences? Other than that it was a nice experience!
Cool idea! You might want to consider making the 'jump' and 'slow fall' use the same button, seems more intuitive to me. Not really sure what's the purpose of having a rotation though.
Nice story, well done!
Was the difficulty intentional? Because it really reinforced the mood and experience well.
Nice music and use of the theme, but I'm not really sure how the opponent decides on who to send. Is it randomized or do they actually have some algorithm that they follow? If so, that's pretty cool.
Cute game, amazing puns! Game crashed for me though, "float unrepresentable in integer range" when going back to choose a dig site for the third time.
Cool idea, but I think the floor rapidly changing colors is a bit too hard on the eyes. Would be nice if there was some visuals to signal the beat too.
Really loved the knife movements! I think pulling the boxes didn't work for me though, and I had to press E a lot to open the box.
I suggest making the camera show more of the map, so players can see the lava above, as well as plan their route below? Audio cues, like burning sounds getting louder, would be a great addition.
Art and music goes well together! Would be nice to have more automation / faster production as I was getting bottlenecked with the basic runes
Love the art! I'm not really sure how the cooking works - would be nice to know the progress on the recipes (e.g. what monsters I have already cooked)
Nice concept, but it was easier to just telefrag the creatures compared to balancing the battle.
