Spot on theme and entertaining gameplay. A music track and some variety like an additional piece or two after you get far enough would help keep help player's attention. Good Job!
nice and simple
Great game! Saw it on discord.
Check out my game if you would like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected
Think about the colorblinds :D
I really found it interesting to manipulate both the character and the conveyor speed at the same time. This multitasking was the core fun for me. Graphics are simple, but decent.
Lack of ambiance is disappointing. Didn't quite feel the theme: lots of sushi on the floor weren't much of a problem for me, since I could just wait for the ones I need to appear on the belt. Only in rare occasions when trying to pick the sushi I need from the floor it was frustrating to pick the right one. The biggest difficulty for me was waiting for the right sushi, especially the white ones.
Also add a link to ldjam on your itch.io page, it was hard for me to find your ldjam game page on Google.
Simple but very effective take on the theme. The sushi colors are somewhat hard to distinguish but I like the graphics otherwise.
Simple but fun and intense! Maybe a zoomed-in camera and varying sprites could help with the visual difficulties people are facing :)
I enjoy playing though management games like this and really wanted to have fun with it. The spawn rate of the white sushi was just too low to try and keep momentum going. I was able to get up to about 10 orders filled in one game before I lost because the white ones just weren't spawning. Even when pumping the conveyor belt up to max, they are just too disproportionate compared to the others.
Other than that, I really did enjoy this. Coming up with my own method of separating the sushi and the trays so I could try and get ahead of orders was fun. Graphics and controls are solid. Hopefully you can get the spawn ratio nailed down better.
Nice and fun entry! Managing orders really fits the theme. My biggest struggle was also waiting for white pieces but I guess it adds to the challenge when all the other pieces start piling up because of it.
Cool design could use some balancing regards which sushi spawn. like gradual cruve from getting exactly what you need right now all the way to completely random. Maybe you did this already but if so it felt way too fast. Thats a lot of words but not really a big issue as the frustration of not getting what i wanted added to the game, it just felt like i kept getting fired just as i was getting into it
Speed up the belt to have a pile of sushi on floor to prepare commands : Waste : 2/10 Hygiene : 1/10 Fun: 10/10
Note, for the next Ludum, please think about azerty keyboards ;-).
very nice game. it's funny to find the right sushi at the end of conveyer. but it seems the spawn of sushi is too random. sometimes it's too difficult to finish your first order. still nice work!
Fun! I like it. The garaphic is nice and fits this small game very well.I need to find my own way sorting these coming sushi so that I can manage these orders. The only problem is that I can't just manage to pick up what I want among dozens of sushi on the ground using space.
Very fun game. Liked the graphics and the fact that I can choose the conveyor speed. Had some slight problems with the white sushis as you can see in the image, they just wouldn't come out :p [Sushi Factory Frenzy.PNG](///raw/d39/3/z/e5c8.png)
Other than that, I found myself sometimes throwing sushis to the garbage can, but nothing too bad
Great work! Congratulations
It's a nice concept that needs a little balance. I am glad that I'm not a patron of this particular sushi restaurant as I seemed to spend a lot of time playing curling with my sushi rolls as they slid along the floor. Fun!
Really fun, reminded me of an old arcade game
This was a fun game! There were times where I ran to the table where I put the sushi together, but ended up accidentally throwing the sushi I needed into the trash can instead. Maybe moving the trash can somewhere else would've been better. Overall it is a nice idea and funny!
Neat little game that reminds me of Overcooked. Controls were a bit off, but functional.
Well done :)
Very fun game! Congratulations. The health department ended up closing the restaurant (TT_TT)
This cannot work with the theme... because it is NEVER A BAD THING to have A LOT OF SUSHI ;) Seriously got super hungry playing this. I liked how your graphics have a quite clear palette... with mostly grayscale colors with the greens and reds popping out very clearly. I also liked the almost flat-design like environment. Well done!
Nice game! It took me way too long to see the orders, and later the green time-indicators, because I was running around in the room. :P But that's my fault, it's all there and quite clear actually. ;) I enjoyed playing the game! Though, it was a bit frustrating that if I just missed an order by a second, I would get 2 misses, one for too late and one for wrong order... Also, it was hard to see what I was going to pick up or where I would put it down, but that somehow also made it more hilarious/chaotic. ;) I liked that I could adjust the speed of the conveyer belt myself. I tried the game a couple of times and my highscore is 16, which doesn't feel like that much. ;) It seemed like there weren't enough plain white sushi coming. Congrats on your game!
Nice balancing act game, but I think a little unfair - I think a game like this should cheat a little to ensure that the orders are actually fulfillable. I think I would prefer purely mouse driven gameplay as well - there is plenty to think about between watching the orders, what is coming through on the belt, and what you have already dished up, without also having to worry about where you are and what you are picking up (or not). But maybe that is just me!
Simple concept, but nicely made! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8s2AmCPVSXQ
When was having too much sushi a problem? D:
Controls need a bit more work but overall, really nice game!
