LD35 — Shapeshift

Shapeshift runner by LordHannu 2016-04-18T20:18:00

Nice game, I was unlucky to hit a game-breaking bug first time but second time I had fun and enjoyed the jagged landscape :)

Buck Shift by bwalter 2016-04-18T02:23:00

Very nice :)

Enemies are very much bullet sponges though. They can also shoot through the platforms.

Varrer by CarlosPidox 2016-04-18T02:30:00

It took me more time than I'd like to admit to figure out the controls. But then I was clicking in time with the music and having fun :)

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Bonehenge! by colapolka 2016-08-29T11:13:00

Nice gameboy style art, ok sound loop, working mechanics. Yup, that's a nice game :)

Ancient Maze of Epla by xesenix 2016-08-29T11:20:00

It looks very interesting but I sadly cannot get it to start. Doesn't react on "click anywhere to begin".

Old N' Fashioned? by tomer_cool 2016-08-29T10:57:00

Cute game with surprisingly responsive controls.

Have to say the wonderful sound effects were the best part :)

Aqueducts of Solomon by LoneSpelunker 2016-08-29T11:47:00

This looks really nice and promising, but also very annoying to play due to the lack of clarity.

Sumer Game by Rico The Jammer 2016-08-29T11:22:00

Not much for me to add it seems. I like the idea but the scoring needs work.

Pax Extraterrestria by t3h_3lyk 2016-08-29T10:53:00

Cute little game with a neat retro art.

The block depleting so quickly does make it quite difficult. Getting some indication that a shot will soon be fired would have been useful too.

Cryptoglyphics by Bogden 2016-08-29T11:44:00

I do really like this. The community generated glyphs are a very neat thing, even if it's a bit annoying to have to repeatedly try and draw something new.

It Started Out With A Brick by peterthehe 2016-08-29T10:49:00

Interesting setup :) I do like simulated evolution.

The suggestion above about letting the player influence the scoring sounds neat as well.

Leonardo's Painting Machine by Frozen Fractal 2016-08-29T11:56:00

This is my kind of game :) Only complaint is that editing the cards can be quite tedious.

Aqueductus by wheerd 2016-08-29T11:01:00

Good puzzle game fitting the theme nicely. Controls slightly finicky but overall nicely done.

LD38 — A Small World

Five Minute Fire Fight by Josh Riley 2017-05-15T11:19:37Z

A very nice little strategy game. I think you scoped it quite well for the 48 hour limit. Nice audio always helps as well. Could probably do with some balancing but ain't nobody got time for that.

Little Asteroid by Wevel 2017-05-02T20:34:00Z

Very impressive base-building game. The art and UI could be improved but the surprisingly complex gameplay makes up for it.

Small World Simulator by Rialgar 2017-05-13T16:56:01Z

I'm actually a huge fan of these kinds of simulations, and you have made a good one :)

Some interactivity would have been nice so you could mess with it, but 48 hours disappears quickly.

ATLANTIS by OccultOne 2017-05-01T08:56:18Z

A very nice game, though hindered by the UI and camera. The music was good I suppose but please don't make it full volume and auto-playing.

Main +) Mechanics and design.

Main -) UI or lack thereof.

Dr. Plumb by phi 2017-05-13T20:04:07Z

A nice puzzle game actually. I was expecting something in line with a standard pipe-maze but was pleasantly surprised :)

My one gripe is that with the pixel-style graphics you should probably have constrained the canvas size to something much smaller. It gets a bit tiring to look at otherwise.

Planet of Babel by Aurel300 2017-05-15T11:26:23Z

A very impressive entry with very unique and interesting graphics. Not the easiest to play but fun.

coollapse by nicruo 2017-05-14T18:49:24Z

A nice simple game. Could have benefited from a faster pace and having different kinds of blocks, such as some requiring multiple bounces.

Realmpusher by danbolt 2017-05-01T09:09:44Z

Dad is proud!

Neat idea and one of few games that feel mostly complete and not just ran-out-of-time-done.

The puzzle is good but the actual walking to fetch each orb gets a bit tedious. With more time this would really have benefited from having more "levels".

Realmpusher by danbolt 2017-05-01T09:09:45Z

(ignore double post :/)

Small World God by Pecolyte 2017-05-14T18:44:54Z

Reminds me of SimEarth and was quite fun to play with. Could use a bigger brush for placing a lot of earth I think, and it would have been fun to see some stats but not strictly needed. Good entry :)

TinyPlanets by tajamsoft 2017-05-15T11:47:14Z

Damn son couldn't make any!

A nice and quite complex game. Takes some time to get into, but the UI is much better than many other LD games I think. Audio helps as well.

CHEM TRIALS by Hegemege 2017-05-14T19:10:24Z

A surprisingly fun little flyer. Controls much better than most entries I've played. I'm also a fan of the low-poly style.

Tiny Tily Tile World by spacewarp 2017-04-24T12:58:03Z

@constellado - I was only hoping for about ten minutes of attention so I'll take that as a win

Tiny Tily Tile World by spacewarp 2017-04-29T21:55:18Z

@jupiter-hadley Wohoo, having a look through it now

Surface Tension by mahalis 2017-05-13T17:47:15Z

Neat little game, with very nice graphics. Controls were a bit fast, but in particular the camera was all over the place. Would probably have benefited from a camera attached to the player. Good entry either way :)

BAD RNG by internetpaulicy 2017-05-13T17:55:46Z

I like the combination of 3D-spiders getting teleported in and 2D-graphics on the screen. The blurring-effect got a bit annoying, as did the controls.

Taste the rainbow by Kalm004 2017-05-15T11:52:17Z

Pretty neat and fun game, with some amusing audio :)

The Four Tribes by yoanndeplo 2017-05-15T11:34:32Z

A cool and surprisingly difficult little strategy game. Could really have used some more feedback but still an interesting game.

The Robot's Trial by citsua 2017-05-13T17:04:39Z

Rather cute little game, though the 3d-platforming/controls got annoying fast. I like the module-mechanic and gating.

Aim for the Star by NightShadow0 2017-05-13T19:59:39Z

I second @toonteamj in that it feels a lot like mini-golf. Nice music :)

Grow Little Planet by jin47 2017-05-13T20:16:21Z

Nice and fun :) The growing planet makes a good platform for that "just one more turn"-quality.

Missing Lands by potatolain 2017-05-13T20:10:37Z

If nothing else you get bonus points for doing an actual NES game :) But the game is actually rather nice on its own too.

The Land We Must Take (La Terre qu'il nous faut conquérir) by kavehes 2017-05-13T17:41:49Z

Nice strategy game, I think it could be developed further into quite an interesting full game.

It seems we had similar ideas for the graphics and world design :)

Bug: the window for entering the amount of military to send didn't like getting "2" input, replaced it with the "1.25" which it insisted was instead "125" and declared that 125 > 2, you lose.

Skylands by huminaboz 2017-05-13T17:18:55Z

Very neat puzzle game, kept me playing and entertained :)

A zoom-out feature/map would be nice to have but not required.

Fading World by octonion 2017-05-14T19:06:00Z

Cute little game. Strangely laggy/flickering, but not enough to make me stop playing.

Shrimp Tank by slash_random 2017-05-13T17:25:57Z

Very *shimpressive* little game :)

Nice music and cute programmer art. The fade in to the fish danger music was neat. Camera/controls kind of annoying to deal with but not so much I automatically stopped playing.

Also the sudden game over when a fish defies the otherwise slow tempo and darts forward was hilarious in a good way :)

Headspace by fueelin 2017-05-14T19:02:54Z

I think "strange" is the best word for this entry. Not in a bad way, but strange. A memorable entry.

In Defense of a Dragon by d3zmodos 2017-05-14T18:57:09Z

Others have already mentioned that the expanding map is nice, so I will as well :)

Collisions would have helped a bit I think, as would sound, but I very much understand the time pressure.

The speed of the enemies get a bit too fast too quickly but otherwise fun.

PiP: A multi-layered puzzle game by Clickmation 2017-05-15T11:59:38Z

Now one of my favorite LD puzzle games because I really like the multi-level mechanic. As others have said it would have greatly benefited from some more levels and faster movement, but well done!

SORLD by Fiery Squirrel 2017-05-02T20:02:04Z

I really like the idea of a cooperative-centric game

Nice simple and appropriate aesthetic and music.

Not really sure what the deal is with the buildings and repair, and could really use some mechanical differences between the colors (or some other way to enforce cooperation).

Sillyzilla Rampage by Eric Florio 2017-05-02T20:41:29Z

Silly is the right word. Also fun  Possibly a bit too slow.

Small Worlds by Damien Remars 2017-05-14T18:38:10Z

A nice little interactive experience :)

LD39 — Running out of Power

Solar Digger by Rialgar 2017-08-20T17:48:19Z

Neat digging game. Like all LD games it could use some polish and audio work but what's there is nice.

Power lines down! by thaaks 2017-08-20T15:52:26Z

Cute pipe puzzle game. Simple graphics but sufficient, my only gripe is that it's somewhat hard to tell where the producers connect.

Carrot Labyrinth by daneestar 2017-08-20T17:31:13Z

Nice entry! The music effects were very nice, though the audio itself was a bit grating. I personally didn't have much problems with collisions.

Tycoon by dob 2017-08-02T00:50:26Z

Surprisingly fun and difficult game. I feel like the block friction should probably be a lot lower or something since you often end up in a situation where there's a bunch of blocks over the hole but nothing's moving.

BugsTD by TheMonsterFromTheDeep 2017-08-20T15:14:47Z

This is a nice beginning of a TD. Many aspects are still a bit lacking and I see that other commenters have touched upon most of them already: the camera issues, lack of feedback, the non-descript turrets, no variation of enemies. Sadly, one only has time for so much during a Ludum Dare.

Railroad Trucker by ZYXer 2017-08-20T15:20:23Z

A rather fun entry :) Laying down track felt rather tedious but I quite like these kinds of routing and logistic games.

Emergency Evacuation by spacewarp 2017-07-31T13:53:39Z

@vegevan Happy you liked it :) Yeah music was on my todo list till the very end... What's going on with the infite game is that it recognizes that you have a power station that could actually give you power, but doesn't manage to tell you about this.

@corporatedinc Glad you liked it :) I was actually aiming for the tutorial to be animated, but you know... time.

Surge by machinescreen 2017-08-20T17:36:58Z

I really like this one :) The art is nice and the mechanics are interesting. My only gripe is that walking feels painfully slow though maybe that just makes it more difficult.

Robogod by multiplexor 2017-08-20T16:00:19Z

Nice concept! If expanded upon it could make a neat mobile game. I had some problem with the introduction being slow; by the time it finished I had already thrown away almost all blocks ;) Also: one robot died before I could meet them.

Running out of Sugar by Natrium729 2017-08-20T16:12:19Z

Nice entry, the graphic has troubles with aspect ratios otherwise fine.

SSSNAKESSS! by kevinworkman 2017-08-20T16:08:55Z

Cute game with the best loading screen :) Thank you for not putting that music in the game.

Electro-Brains by unit684 2017-08-02T00:30:22Z

Nice little game. Would probably feel better if the health went down slower and the power went down faster.

Lights Out by Brandon Diaz 2017-08-02T00:27:02Z

Nice looking and with good puzzle ramping :)

Worth noting though: it refuses to run if you have moderately strict access rules in your browser. More specifically if it can't get at the localStorage for whatever that domain is.

Solar defense by kpded 2017-08-20T15:47:53Z

Nice entry! I had some problems with the building, not knowing when the game would allow me to build again or how close is "too close". Day is almost boringly easy, nights... not so much.

Advanced Infiltration Management System by crass_sandwich 2017-08-20T17:18:19Z

Kinda neat little shooter. Controls feel a bit off but works.

A Growing City by Lipsch 2017-08-02T00:40:20Z

Cute little game that kinda reminds me of a lot of entries from the last LD.

You seem to have a small bug in that restarting the game requires a page reload, since going to the menu and restarting doesn't reset properly.

Turrets Turrets by ryzy27 2017-08-20T17:41:44Z

Nice concept and TD fitting with the theme. UI and feedback could be improved but the gameplay seems to work rather well.

Escape The Power by Fawaz.Strawberry 2017-08-20T16:04:28Z

Nice first entry! I won!

PowerGem Arena by Wizard.Exe 2017-08-20T14:56:59Z

Nice entry! Audio and graphics merged well. Sometimes the controls felt slow.

The Infinite Mine by SuperCrunchy 2017-08-20T17:15:38Z

Pretty neat defence game. Could use some more gameplay and difficulty, but what's there is quite good.

Batteries in the Dungeon by DerpyJish 2017-08-20T15:03:45Z

Very nice entry! At first I was a bit put off by having to move each square manually (no holding down the key to move several) but I soon got use to it. The audio became a bit grating otherwise fine.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Work Master by asixjin 2017-12-10T13:58:05Z

Potentially rather interesting but seems to have trouble with input. Keyboard inputs seemed to randomly stop being accepted sometimes after a while and after a reload it didn't accept input at all.

Sushi Factory Frenzy! by jasperarmstrong 2017-12-10T13:40:17Z

Neat little game that reminds me of Overcooked. Controls were a bit off, but functional.

Jonny; Life of a Procrastinator by Call_me_Nutty 2017-12-10T13:54:54Z

Kind of interesting game. Stats/gameplay a bit confusing and audio is rather creepy. Neat though.

Mister President by Zinkler 2017-12-10T13:51:21Z

Nice graphics and audio. Has potential for some very nice gameplay I feel, though Ludum Dare being what it is, there's some stuff missing ;) Still interesting!
