Very fun game, I finished it, and I really liked. It is also very relaxing :)

jin47 2017-05-01 13:04

Thank you !

toonteamj 2017-05-01 19:52

Interesting, although I got lost in the expanse of space.

rustybroomhandle 2017-05-01 19:54

This is cute, and yes, relaxing! I love the style of the rocket, like the concept behind the whole game, love how the planet 'levels up' and grows bigger. I think a different background image, maybe something 'softer' with pastel colours, maybe a nebula or aurora kind of thing, might set the rest of it off nicely though :)

skullpixel 2017-05-01 20:30

Relaxing is definitely a good word for this. The controls on the spaceship were really nice to use for some reason. Congratulations on your game!

I played it until I beat it, awesome Compo game, nice work!

hethsin 2017-05-02 11:54

Cool concept, very solid job!

npizzle1 2017-05-02 12:25

Nice game. Would of been nice to have maybe some enemy's or a fuel gauge to add that little extra but overall controls well and sfx fit.

smbe19 2017-05-02 16:10

Cool, relaxing game. It's nice to see the planet grow from a little space rock to earth.

fatpenguin 2017-05-02 16:56

That was an enjoyable little game. I was always curious how the next evolution of the planet would look like :) Could have been a bit more challenging but besides that great job

hbocao 2017-05-03 16:10

I really wanted to know what the next evolution would do to the planet, so you got me hooked. The controls are pretty good. It was very easy to get moving with precision. And the sound effects were spot on too. I missed some challenge though, like limited fuel for example. Without a challenge or limitation, I was just zig zaging in space (which is still pretty cool ahaha). If you plan to work on this game in the future, I advise to include some collectibles of some sort, to make the exploration a little more rewarding too.

Overall, a pretty good entry! Congratulations.

Very fun little game, I loved watching my planet grow. Always kept wondering what the next stage would be, so I couldn't stop playing. The little "Ludum Dare 38" sign was a lovely touch.

I found it pretty refreshing to just play a spaceship game where nothing was trying to kill me. No lethal collisions, no enemies, just a little ship gathering resources for its planet. Nice to see someone take the "small planet in space" trope somewhere else.

The sounds very nice too, very pleasing to the ear because it wasn't so rough like these shooty sounds tend to be. The planet upgrade sound too was played with very warm tones, and overall it just added to the pleasant feeling of the game.

Not much I can say against this one, it was just an engaging and almost meditative little thing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a solid entry. You got the controls down pat, and it looks good. It's fun to watch the planet grow. I really liked the "stop thrust" on the ship, both how it looked and how it worked. I would have liked a little more challenge, as others have mentioned, such as enemies or fuel. Just flying around was enjoyable, though. Nice job!

shockeye 2017-05-05 08:46

Controls good. I really like that there were visible retro-rockets for stopping. The objective compass pointers were a thoughtful feature - would be unplayable trying to find asteroids by chance. Would have preferred there was some additional challenge like a time limit or fuel limit or something. As it is victory just requires persistence.

jin47 2017-05-05 08:52

Thank you all for the feedbacks! I really think to that some more challenge would be appreciated ! A huge thanks for all your feedbacks!

clegamecoop 2017-05-06 18:19

Nice job! I found it a little slow to start, though.

noddingtortoise 2017-05-08 19:02

Cool game, had a very zen feel to it. Could maybe have done with a few challenges, but otherwise a very well done game!

frodewin 2017-05-08 20:52

Nice relaxing game. I enjoyed plaing it, I especially liked the planet graphics. It seems there is no way to die in this game, is this correct? I was a expecting that I would run out of fuel or that something would attack my world. The small world theme is addressed in an excellent way, gathering asteroids to increase a small planet's mass makes sense.

colm-eccles 2017-05-09 15:53

Cool Game. I Liked the rocket controls and graphics. I found the game relaxing but was hoping for some conflict or external pressure to make the game more engaging.

0uicmoi 2017-05-11 17:50

Hey man, that's a cool little game ! It's fun and relaxing. Graphics are cute (except for the background wich seems kinda broken) and the controls were on point. Space drifting for the win ! It does however lacks some challenge. But still, cool game. Congrats

ajayajayaj 2017-05-12 20:55

Really nice. I really liked the sound effect for returning. Sound effects in a music program? I never thought of that, that is such a good idea I might try some time.

Good Job!

slowian 2017-05-13 10:13

Fun game to play, like others I've liked the controls and the fact that every stage of the planet contains new look, and it made the game very engaging to complete.

For further development, I want to suggest few things: * multiple levels with different planets to expand and objectives can be added * on each level, asteroids containing various number of resources can be introduced * after collecting resources the ship speed can be slightly decreased * planet size bar with target size can be displayed * ship upgrades can be introduced that could be bought with use of collected resources - for example cargo load (or can be done by buying new ship type), speed, power (will make the ship speed decrease lower after collecting resources), attack types * after destroying an asteroid or enemy, the powerups can be introduced that could increase power, speed or attack type. There could also be a chance to gather more resources from each asteroids, that could be upgraded.

Level objectives can be for example: * defending the planet for specific time from aliens that will try to mine its resources and decrease its size * stabilizing the planet by increasing its size as fast as possible

@slowian Thanks for this really complete feedback. There is here a lot of good ideas that I would indeed like to implement if I continue this game. Thanks! Also, Thank you all for all your feedbacks!

Nice and fun :) The growing planet makes a good platform for that "just one more turn"-quality.

madjackmcmad 2017-05-16 07:30

Good job! I like it, it's very chill. Looks like you and I had very similar ideas for our games. Mine is also about blowing up asteroids and bringing little energons back to the planet to help it grow. Let's be Planetgrow Bros <3

boorik 2017-05-16 13:03

I really need to practice trust game. I'm sooooo bad. I need to know how the planet evolution finish :) Great job!

I LOVED YOUR ART 3D. GREAT PARTICLE SYSTEMS

Congratulations!!
