LD25 — You are the Villain

Kill Ville by ConflictiveLabs 2012-12-18T22:08:00

Nice take. I think the scoring should better reflect the number of victims. I took down a guy pretty quick before he killed anyone because he was right on the heels of another. But my best score was a guy who -- even quicker -- killed immediately and I tagged him running away.

Tale of Scale by ratking 2012-12-17T17:30:00

This is a great mechanic. When I solved level 1 I thought there was a glitch in the game engine, it didn't sink in until level 2. :) Level 2's goal could be made clearer; I really needed that "think out of the box" hint to solve it! Level 3 is fantastic. Well done.

LD26 — Minimalism

The Only String by Tuba 2013-04-29T03:50:00

Rock on! Wooo!

Shoodir by ryebread761 2013-04-29T19:38:00

This goes from very simple for a minute to OMG BLOW THE FAILSAFE!! in a few seconds. For greater difficulty, I'd suggest taking a life for accidentally shooting the box, and a firing delay or recharge cap. Also later enemies should take a less predictable path to the box. Maybe give each type of monster a different type of attack vector.

Spike Line by Yorwba 2013-05-08T19:24:00

Was the noise supposed to be music, or variation on a heart monitor? I'd have preferred you stuck with the traditional beep, but hooked it in when you jump. The jumping feels a little sluggish and sometimes you can get in a jump loop - jumping continuously without break - which feels unfair when it ends in death. I thought the motif was morbid but decent. What if you added three lives, and every death ends with a flatline and Dr. Yorwba yelling, "CLEAR!"

Laser Drift by MrOtton 2013-04-29T14:46:00

This was fun. This is more like piloting a boat, or drifting on ice. I would like tighter steering controls - it's very difficult to drive in a straight line because that requires such a minute key press.

Doad by magicdweedoo 2013-04-29T05:23:00

I like that you made a game out of trying to unlock menu system secrets, but I wish there was more to it. Also, I set my fly controls to fart and it didn't work.

Mass Splitter by scriptorum 2013-04-29T05:44:00

Thanks for the feedback. If I had another hour I'd have put in more levels. I just ran out of time. Last LD I didn't even finish, so I'm happy with what I've got. ;)

SDFJKL by Dining Philosopher 2013-04-30T20:50:00

Really fun and challenging. It really tummy-patting/belly-rubbing skills to control both hooks simultaneously. Nicely done.

Game Formerly Known as BlockBuilder by RexSpaceman 2013-04-30T19:20:00

Good game. A bit too hard at medium. I can think of two improvements I'd like. When holding a block, add an indication to the face of the block I'm pointing to, so I know I'm in alignment and can release it there. Early on, I thought I was suppose to match the side of the carried box (rather than the pointer) to the side of fixed box. Also, I'd replace RMB free camera movement with fixed - just flip me to the other angle when I tap RMB. It's frustrating to lose because you can't get to the other side quick enough.

Escape the Minimalism by klianc09 2013-05-08T19:49:00

Dammit. I couldn't escape the minimalism!

Timining 1D by GodsBoss 2013-04-30T20:30:00

"Again?" asked the game as it laid the crown of nerdiness upon my head. That was fun. After you craft the best items it gets a little grindy as you go on a long walk hunting for gold, but you knew I'd keep going, didn't you.

MEGAMINIMAL by InfuriatedCoder 2013-05-08T18:56:00

Charming. First level is too easy if you just keep moving in a single direction. Gets tricky quick. Nicely done.

True treasure of Kartoffelschloss by mortus 2013-05-08T20:03:00

But I need my hatred! It makes me stronger!

Save the Potato, Save the world. by JohnnySix 2013-04-29T20:25:00

I love the robot animation! Nice work.

ClickStory by ComicSans 2013-04-30T15:40:00

The interface needs some work. It's difficult to tell that at certain spots you can type in input and where/how you should enter it. I got to the mysterious boss, tried typing "He calms the boss" since I had the calming wand, and it said "suddenly, nothing happened." After this I couldn't do any more data entry or get responses from clicking on anything. (On Chrome.)

Flowf Against the Potatoes by katsumottojp 2013-04-29T03:45:00

I'd like it if you could move diagonally by pressing two keys (up and left, for instance). It takes a little too long to get challenging. The opening music is great. +1 for the potatoes, even though they look like tomatoes.

Mind the Gap by shiprib 2013-05-08T20:29:00

Would really love a pause button, even if it were a timed pause, just to re-layout everything. Or give us a way to plan the new tracks while the old ones are running, then switch to the new tracks. Any it's a nice pick up and deliver game.

hru by gilmore606 2013-04-29T05:42:00

Nicely done.

BasedBall by Neten 2013-04-29T04:12:00

Mondrian Click by CherryNukaCola 2013-04-29T15:31:00

Thanks for the clarification regarding the ripples. I thought the input was just wonky. If you added a sound effect for a failed click due to a ripple that would help clue folks in.

Wandering Darkness by Graham Weldon 2013-04-29T05:02:00

Nicely done. 12:15.

Gut Buster Zombie Dash by zairon 2013-04-29T20:16:00

That is a log freakin way to the chopper! The wall collisions were initially frustrating but later I just adapted to them - walls are sticky, so back up and go around. I like the army of zeds marching in the back. I can see this being more fun with an action key and greater item variety. I didn't quite get the meaning of the ... weight meter? It varied a lot.

Long live the King by Lythom 2013-05-08T19:31:00

Nice one, Lythom. I like the lighting effects, and how you worked that into the gameplay.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Apotheosis by bytegrove 2013-08-26T21:35:00

Wow! Weird! Definitely a unique combination of mechanics. Some very nice art here - platform, background, cube.

Little Peeps by SmudgedCat 2013-08-26T20:35:00

Very nice! I really enjoyed this. The only nitpick is you can render a level unsolvable if you let a peep go extinct on the previous level. I didn't realize peeps carry over. At first I was trying to make my missing green peep by sending mixed colors pick up the circles... :)

My Tenth Adventure by DiscoFish 2013-08-26T16:22:00

I have super pooer! Unfortunately after refreshing my browser I wasn't super awesome, so this game lied to me. Nice sword and sorcery style graphics. Inscrutable puzzle design, but I kept trying and eventually figured it out.

Graveyard Shift by Kortuga 2013-08-26T05:08:00

Great mood. I had trouble with the melee. Every time I used it I'd lose a 15% of my health bar or so. This is even when nobody's near me. Hrm! I'll stick with guns...

10 Seconds Flat by IndigoWolf 2013-08-26T18:50:00

Avoiding the bars gets pretty challenging. I didn't like the teleport power ups, though. I would preferred temporary invulnerability.

Flooded Dungeons by ripatti 2013-08-30T18:02:00

Nice work. Really enjoyable roguelike. I'd like it more if there were audio cues when certain events happen: specifically low health and bomb can't be used here. Well done and a good application of the theme.

1000ms by Loren 2013-08-26T05:21:00

The sprint and crazy modes appeared to be both crazy... I could only get 1 or 2 lines out at those levels and that's because the game telegraphs the first line. The other two modes are more interesting.

Offspring by scriptorum 2013-08-26T04:51:00

If anyone sees a freeze like Ravetcofx, please let me know which build you used and if web, which browser/platform. Thanks!

Haraka by gikdew 2013-08-26T15:51:00

Nice job. I thought the levels were balanced for difficulty until the one pictured in the 2nd screenshot. That jump has to be so precise, and the two out of thirty times I made it I couldn't figure out how to proceed further after making it. Also your hit boxes seem to be a little larger than the spikes themselves. Anyhow, fun game!

The Devil That Comes by Zetsaika 2013-08-26T21:44:00

Creepy. Finishing gave me carpal tunnel.

Short Nightmares by Martin_Monosys 2013-08-26T21:02:00

Some auditory clues as to the correct path would be nice. I think I stubbed my toe in the dark.

Cheese It! by sebasRez 2013-08-28T03:43:00

The graphics are fantastic, I love the rodent animations. It does get a little tedious after a while. The ability to throw cheese would be nice, or to carry multiple pieces, as a power up to find. Very nice presentation!

Just Another Game With A 10 Second Mechanic by jugglerrob 2013-08-26T03:51:00

Hey, I won! Woo. I don't like that the spacebar doesn't register while pressing A/D, but other than that, fun game. Some parts were very challenging. The art style reminds me of Chuck Close.

Under Water by Orava 2013-08-26T05:28:00

Phew! Made it. Very nicely done. I like the art. Once you get the hang of it, it's quite serene under water. It's a little hard to angle the character when swimming toward the air pockets but I didn't mind the effect - it creates good tension. Nice job.

t.i.m.e by Asar Dhandala 2013-08-26T21:26:00

This worked fine on Mac/Safari. I wasn't sure of the 7/5 distinction on minutes and hours; the slow clocks (hours) reset the level and the middle clocks (minutes) seem to ignore you. Once you realize the 10 fast (seconds) clocks are the only ones not moving the game gets easier.

Cast Out by Seihi 2013-08-26T18:40:00

Is there a strategy for the combat? It seems to be random.

Are you? by Drubert 2013-08-26T16:06:00

Dramatic story, somewhat melancholy. Very good, for what it is, but having one choice in a game is pretty weak gameplay. Although I did have to go back and try the other choice..

A Timely Dimension of Space by crezefire 2013-08-26T05:43:00

Mostly straight-forward. The timer adds a little bit of timing tension to it, but not much. It isn't until the third level where things get more interesting.

DeepField by loolpolo 2013-08-26T04:01:00

This very rapidly gets nuts. :) I think I broke my mouse trying to shoot faster...

Origin Within by FanFan 2013-08-26T20:53:00

Nicely done. This boy won in 59 cycles and 4 treasures. I kept flinging myself onto the spikes for no good reason. Tiny sprites!

Delayed by Jordo76 2013-08-30T18:25:00

Good concept. I didn't like it at first, but it warms up to you. I don't know if a countdown timer on the player piece or in the corner would make the waiting better or worse. :) On Mac the game froze on level Prison after attempting a third restart or so. Just a spinning rainbow while the music continued.

10-Second Shadow Block-Dude! by bhopkins 2013-08-26T04:32:00

Nice! Gave up on level 10 after twenty or so tries. Maybe my brain tomorrow can handle it.

Cubic Run by SpiralCodeStudio 2013-08-26T04:44:00

1367. Works well. Hard to test the "left slam" on the simulator, but the glide and extra jumps were useful.

Tiny Arena by Dooleus 2013-08-27T12:30:00

3300. Nice music, very Doomy, I felt some John Carmack hanging over me. I loved the shurikens and the bows, great feel to them. Hated the bombs! Bombs hurt. Bad bombs. Really hated the bombs when angry otto comes out and bounces at me. Overall a good, complete game!

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-26T03:12:00

Goddamn! Why, Orangey? Why?? Well I killed a lot of kittens.

I had trouble at first with the mines. The hit box was larger than I expected. After that it was smooth sailing. Nice touches with the boat naming, cat naming and upgrade system.

This game does for boats and cats what Choplifter did for helicopters and POWs.

MYHORIZON by markengley 2013-08-26T21:16:00

Good game. Got 282 kills. Gets tricky if you're not paying attention to the attraction/repulsion timer. A series of auditory cues before flip would be nice!

Aftur by Filth 2013-08-26T04:10:00

Controls are very mushy, which makes for a difficult time platforming. Are all the platforms covered in grease and ice? But the simple art style is nice and clean and I like the design. However, I am upset that you compromised my spinal integrity.

The only one by JaJ 2013-08-26T16:46:00

I can't figure out how to beat Mary in the boss battle.

Time Annex by kratorspore 2013-08-28T15:38:00

Great game! A nice take on the theme.

My first game I was just clicking around and got 20k. My second game I understood what I was actually trying to do and got 90k. And on my third game I dug out the interior of a "U" shape and then followed the U for one massive combo scored 321,870. I imagine digging out a spiral would give even more points.

Grassroots Samba by atuun 2013-08-26T05:16:00

I just totally won that election. I think it was my stance about haircuts that put me over the top. Funny and great art style.

Stuck in a Clock by Aik 2013-08-26T04:54:00

It's not running for me either, Safari/Mac. SWF seems to load because I can get the right click menu but it just flashes white and then goes grey.

Stuck in a Clock by Aik 2013-08-30T18:09:00

I got it to run this time! :) HaxePunk, cool. Couldn't get very far, it didn't take long for some bad dudes to cross the clock hand instead of dying from it, and then I was killed. Some of those guys are too fast for a chasing game - they should all be slower than the player. You could consider adding another hand to the clock for added mayhem. Good work!

LD28 — You Only Get One

The Lonely Girl by kewry 2013-12-16T17:38:00

I like abstract application of the theme. Now I have to get some antiseptic for these claw marks on my face.

Choices by madameberry 2013-12-16T22:43:00

Interesting. At first I thought the artwork was crude, but the more I played the more that became an interesting art style. I'm not sure how the theme applies, but still, pretty cool.

You ONLY Get One Nuke by barret907k 2013-12-16T06:48:00

I like the spiral fire patterns. It's very tricky to time it correctly, especially when you have to do a 180 spin. Nice work.

Boulder Boomerang by Kikkers 2013-12-16T20:15:00

I like the look of the game. The spinning ball to choose the second roll direction tripped me up more than it was actually helpful, but it was fun to try it and occasionally it worked out. :) Nice game.

You Set Us Up The Bomb by scriptorum 2013-12-16T23:03:00

Thanks for the feedback! I intended to do a lot more mechanically to make later levels more challenging and middle levels a little less trying of your patience, but I was coding right up the last minute. Things like shrapnel, patrol routes, visible damage (cracks on the bunker, sparks from the robots), visible death timer (on fire perhaps), and patrol routes didn't make it in. Daniel is right about the random levels, my original intent was to build the first ten levels and then the rest random, but of course I ran out of time. I do sort of enjoy the crazy explosions of the later levels as a stress reliever. I just love to kill robots.

You Set Us Up The Bomb by scriptorum 2013-12-19T15:18:00

If the bomb drops and doesn't result in a win, you are provided with a new random level. So you know, you really don't have to wait. ;)

1 Shot Armada by aneeslol 2013-12-16T06:42:00

Pretty game. I wish there was an indicator for the weapon reset line, although it was easy enough to hide out at the top of the screen once my weapons ran dry. :) Good work.

Ninja Adventure by PyroSneak 2013-12-16T20:42:00

Victory! Jumping and movement are a little slow for my liking. To kill the big boss, I picked up the gravity switcher and just attacked the back of his eyeball. Nice job!

Starbeard: The Curse of the Space Whales by Those 30 Ninjas 2013-12-16T19:59:00

Everything about this game is great. Best game was 3080 points and then I got killed by these evil giant red jellyfish things.

One Sky by Kep 2013-12-16T20:25:00

Great concept! I wish I could make some hail and damage those settlements. :) Well done.

Light of Happiness by Katamori 2013-12-16T16:35:00

Nice. I found the contrast between descriptions of happiness and laborious clicking to be amusing. ;)

Creator Story Saga Tycoon by Bruno Massa 2013-12-20T01:27:00

Very addicting. Nicely put together. A bit similar to Cookie Clicker. Great music.

HackerBall by Switchbreak 2013-12-18T20:16:00

I like the mechanic. I might have liked it if you could plan your routes in timed phases - real time is kinda tricky, too much to do at once, but maybe that's part of the charm. I got to pass once and it was awesome, I did a victory dance.

One Hour, One Shot, One Way Out? by Eskoala 2013-12-16T20:52:00

You are carrying:
tinsel
baubles
a Christmas tree
a box (open but empty)
a shotgun
a baseball bat
a robarbie
a keys
a television
a cushion

I'm not leaving my Christmas tree behind, but Sophie can go suck it.

Moments of Paranoia by SpellingPhailer 2013-12-18T20:08:00

Great art, music, and inspiration. Good tension and atmosphere. Light on the gameplay. I was about to say I would have liked a more definite resolution, but if you take the approach where you shoot no one, all is answered. At least for me it was. :)

One Night at the Space Opera by davekalina 2013-12-16T21:44:00

Great graphics. Very funny dialogue, artwork, and theme. Great audio too. I'd like it more if there was a line or timer to indicate when the next set of symbols arrives, and if the symbols deselected at that time - or you queue up your selections that play when the time is up. Nice game!

Mikes toy by d_0o_d 2013-12-16T17:51:00

Nicely done. Level 5 can be done with just the hook, as it turned out, you only need one. ;) Unfortunately the app froze on me then so I didn't see level 6.

Distracted Detective by veiadoida 2013-12-18T20:59:00

I love the application of the theme. It's not clear how well I did, although apparently I am mediocre. :)

You Have One Box by rob1221 2013-12-16T22:07:00

Controls are a little tricky, if you move the mouse too quickly you drop the box. Nice levels. Good job.

Many Robots, One Laser by OmegaVesko 2013-12-16T18:20:00

I enjoyed this. It gets hard quick. One shot - although fitting the theme - is kind of harsh. Three lives would be better. I could see this getting more fun with additional types of blocks. I'd love it if all levels were solvable, and when you missed the game showed you the correct path. The movement/firing can be glitchy, some times the cannon won't budge, and sometimes the shot fired disappears and you immediately lose.

Bounce by BoppreH 2013-12-16T18:08:00

Oh man, I saved like, everything! The later levels weren't that hard, they'd be easier if the target was larger than the ball. Well done.

You only get 1111 by funktor 2013-12-16T06:12:00

The dropbox link doesn't work for me, 404.

NUCLEAR by backflipppp 2013-12-16T21:28:00

I liked the mood. I didn't know what to do when the flashlight went out, so I tried to just move faster next time, but then I just got eaten by a predator. It's very hard to see with the flashlight anyway through that mask. The light doesn't seem to cast far ahead of you.

The Radar Guy by pavelzuk 2013-12-16T16:44:00

@crockid5: You only get once chance to fire off all your missiles. The theme is spot on. Great audio, nice graphics. A bit of a test of your patience. At least I get to keep all my medals!

Polytonia Music by Robinerd 2013-12-16T17:26:00

Very nice! Really enjoyed this. Good tune. The level of challenge ramps up very well. Great job.

Make it Count by tSwitch 2013-12-16T06:36:00

I tried that last level, I really tried. :) I like the look of the game, it's very well put together.

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Rules by Dew 2014-12-08T19:31:00

Very nice.

The rule "less than X" seems to be easily cheesed by picking the two highest tiles, and then repeatedly removing your lowest and picking the highest replacement. Often that's enough to make everything go dead 0. Similarly, for the "more than X" you can do the dead 0 cheese and then on the last round pick dead 0 as your tile.

Fireman vs Fire vs Snowman by scriptorum 2014-12-08T20:23:00

My best is 106. Here are two game facts from under-the-hood:

1. The game queues up 2 spawn events for every 1 kill, but the queue caps at 3. What this means is it's actually possible to reduce the population by making ~5+ kills in rapid sequence.

2. The game never spawns a prey on your active screen, and it always spawns a full set of the three types. So by hanging out on a screen that has no prey, you're increasing the chances that the other two screens have a large number of prey.

Knowing this, my strategy is cycling all the screens, 123. Either I'm carefully eating all prey on one screen and waiting for the spawns before moving on, or when the time is right, I'm trying to get 5+ at a time, rapidly cycling as needed to make kills faster than the spawn rate.

Tavern King by deathray 2014-12-08T05:01:00

How do you buy furniture? Clicking on TABLE in didn't reply with anything. Nice art.

Deja Vu by egos 2014-12-08T04:54:00

Level three comes at you hard, bro. Nice game.

Doll house: q-Be or not q-Be by Liam :D 2014-12-08T19:52:00

Nice. This reminds me of Little Computer People from a zillion years ago. Where is the book located? I couldn't get the zoom to work.

Rubble by Aevek 2014-12-11T04:06:00

The inability to do a running jump was a little frustrating, but otherwise it's a fun game and good application of the theme. Factoring the rubble of one puzzle into another puzzle is a great idea.

Autumn Physics by Colorvade 2014-12-08T05:55:00

I'd like to be able to retry a failed level and some of the blocks were occasionally hard to grab, but overall an enjoyable concept.

Walk the Plank by MiniBobbo 2014-12-08T05:19:00

Really fun game! Level seven is pretty hard, after about 30 tries I got at most 31. Nice job.

MetaLD by ibilon 2014-12-09T03:35:00

Nice job!

Haha. You ball. Nice twist on the concept.

Super Ultra Fishing Adventure Deluxe by scias 2014-12-08T04:49:00

Thems be some big fish! Scroll wheel to reel in is a nice touch.

Jackin by eforen 2014-12-08T05:58:00

It's always down to the wire for me. Stuff always gets left out.

Break The Screen by xerohuang 2014-12-08T06:50:00

Good concept. Was a little plodding at points moving the player around. Nice game.

Man on the Field by Double Zero One Zero 2014-12-11T23:36:00

Beautiful art and nice sound track. Focusing on the wound and looking at the required key in periphery seemed to work the best for me. I didn't really get the strategy for sending units back early, on day 7 I started noticing the men on field dwindling and figured I should start sending some of the half healthy homes back out. Dunno if that made any difference!

Smash TZ by cinderous 2014-12-09T02:05:00

2430. Nice and smashy. :) Good work.

Towards Light by Maxr00 2014-12-08T23:03:00

I did it in 5:01. I would have done it faster but it took a while to hunt for and tease out the two balls hiding offscreen. I didn't see any modes that were perfectly 16:9. Interesting concept.

Legend of Destiny by Remicy 2014-12-08T06:00:00

Very nice sprites.

Tourney Knights by monkeedude1212 2014-12-11T23:10:00

It's too bad the sword fighting is busted, but there were a lot of other nice details in there, including the art and the maidens.

Cardinal Attack by Insality 2014-12-08T05:48:00

Very nice rage game :) My best was 62 seconds, I got to hear it say "level 3" before dying. FLIP OFTEN. :)

Killine by PortoCombo 2014-12-08T05:33:00

My final score was 328''2, which is, I imagine, atrocious. Some good levels in there, some very very tricky to perform.

Party Pleaser by Matthew Rayfield 2014-12-08T04:44:00

One guy excused himself to head to the other side of the room and then asked me to throw out his trash. Later, drunk with power, he would just announce, "I have trash." So? Get the hell out of my apartment. My first guest, I kept happy until 4AM when I realized he wasn't going to leave voluntarily. I had to just stop serving food, but people kept coming! You want a hot dog? You know where I keep them, in the refrigerator, I don't even cook them!

Bloody Mess by karol 2014-12-11T04:16:00

Fun game! It ramps up difficulty pretty quick. The blood god must be appeased.

AntiPlane by Grenac 2014-12-08T06:21:00

Someone keeps messing with my head!! Looks like a picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue! Nicely done. I got stuck under a green glow, couldn't quite figure out how to move past that spot but I did identify a lot of the triggers that cause the walls to move.

Coloured Ink by BaneStar007 2014-12-08T05:25:00

Some of those areas can get really big and obscure other parts of the board.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Flappy Monster by scriptorum 2015-08-26T18:24:00

Thanks for the feedback! I've addressed several issues in the post-compo version, notably difficulty with map generation, pikes visibility, and a "flappier" slow-down mechanic.

@DinnerInTheDark: A building slows you down, so (technically) you could hit it at the perfect speed to pass both obstacles, but yeah it's hard. This doesn't happen in the post-compo version.

Flappy Monster by scriptorum 2015-08-28T20:19:00

@LittleThor I may add a a tip-toe animation to the post-compo version when you go through spikes safely. That might make the purpose clearer. However, spikes make sense thematically and are a fairly established game mechanic. Prince of Persia, Spelunky, and Eldritch come to mind.

Flappy Monster by scriptorum 2015-08-28T20:21:00

Also the real fault is the lack of in-game help. I was intending to have a little tutorial at the start of a run to explain spikes, but it was lower on the priority list. :)

Monstrocity by JaviCepa 2015-08-24T20:12:00

It took me 981 kills to doom mankind. I found leveling up from 5-10 was less interesting than 1-5. At that point you're so large, jumping didn't seem make much of a difference but I did it anyway because a jumping monster is cooling than a non-jumping one. Nice art and audio.

Ghost Life by karlinfox 2015-08-28T15:15:00

This is a good start! Keep working on it post-compo.

Hunting by oab 2015-08-24T19:47:00

Ha! I see now that you, as the developer, are the monster. Nice art.

Road To Hell by Hyoga-3D 2015-09-01T03:50:00

Nicely done. The game feels pretty solid and fun. The slow/speed mechanic is a little nonintuitive. I don't see how where the theme fits in? The tunnels need a change - they're very randomly mean. Very nice art, though.

you are the MONSTER TRUCK!! by dlmrky 2015-09-13T15:14:00

Sometimes had trouble capturing the nitro - would bounce off it, rather than claim it. Otherwise a fun racer!

Think: Outside the BOX by LittleThor 2015-08-24T19:45:00

Outside the box is infinite free-fall. Next time I'm staying inside!

This is essentially a maze game, so a run button would make some corridor stretches more tolerable.

Don't Eat the Kid by pancakecity 2015-08-28T15:34:00

i checked out the source. With EAT, LOOK and STAND as the only verbs, the player's level of interaction with this game is very minimal. LOOK SELF was a particularly shocking outcome for me, given that is actually my age. :)

Delicious Cortex by deepnight 2015-08-27T06:50:00

Delightful.

INSIDIAE by FistBumpGames 2015-08-26T01:42:00

Game pace is a tad slow, but otherwise lots of things to like here. I like the mood, the music, and the art style and the setting. I had a hard time getting those suckers to trigger my traps, though! I gotta go back to trap-school.

Quest for the Castle by igoramendola 2015-09-14T06:31:00

Huh. I ... AM ... the monster. <self-reliazation/><immediately-seeking-therapy/>

Fairycula by dusho 2015-08-24T15:35:00

Great application of the theme. Gets hard quick!

Dissident by michidk 2015-08-30T15:36:00

It takes a while to reach the endings. I put my player in the corner and walked away until it reached 50. The idea of choosing your path is a great game duality, but you need more to make each path rewarding.

Knights of the living dead by sneeuwpopsneeuw 2015-08-24T20:24:00

Same here - did not load on Safari/OSX.

Psycho by ronsap123 2015-08-24T20:23:00

Final sanity = 13. Number of times I exclaimed "What the f---?" = 3. Despite being a bit corny it manages to have genuinely creepy moments. Nice job!

Well I'm Not A Monster by RhythmLynx 2015-08-24T18:25:00

Good concept.

A cup of tea with my Aunti MICROPHONE REQUIRED by Team Klappermann 2015-08-26T17:45:00

Beautiful art and an innovative concept. I got stuck at the end of the tunnel trying to get past the bright white rock; big jumps and small jumps couldn't get me past it. :(

Jack the Grinder by Stechas 2015-08-24T19:53:00

The digging mechanic is fun. I'd like the monster to move a little faster. The fang/bullet hit boxes can be tricky to line up! Didn't have much use for the oil spill. Monster health points and a way to heal might be a nice addition - perhaps some corpses turn into food instead of disappearing, and you can fang to eat the food?

FBI Attack by Donni11 2015-08-26T18:19:00

I think this game is awesome! Five stars for mood. Take that, FBI attackers!

BuzzzzOff by LordKawaii 2015-08-25T20:51:00

MonsterCorp by EwChap 2015-09-10T19:49:00

Harvey, Dean, and Pete's Terrible Adventure by GenericTeamName 2015-09-14T06:46:00

I've always wanted to kill villagers named Harvey and Dean. Nice art. Great music! Slow pace. :)

Village Defender by RedFil 2015-08-24T19:59:00

I would have preferred WASD to move and click to attack. Multiple threat indicators would be more helpful. Liked the song! Also liked the fire effect.

Three Bags Full by EmptyThroneTeam 2015-08-26T18:01:00

Great story! I was annoyed that after the second sacrifice they broke in the fence anyway, but to quote Darth Vader, "I have altered the deal. Pray I do not alter it further." Nice art. The fade to night looked a little funky, and the night conversations were a little slow to click through one line at a time, but otherwise an amazing job.

Be My Friend ! by Infokub Arcade 2015-08-28T15:45:00

Good concept! My best was 27. I found a spawn point in the lower left and just waited for them to come to me. It seems like you have to get lucky to avoid being shot. The movement controls were a little mushy, maybe variable speed based on distance of cursor from player would be helpful?

Sweet Mom by Grhyll 2015-08-26T18:13:00

I particularly liked the butterfly puzzle. And of course the banner that appeared every time I dealt with one of my burdensome offspring.

A Grain of Truth by KAGSme 2015-08-25T21:13:00

I need that camera to auto-center. Will you come over here and hold my space bar? :) Nice music.

Snacker by ToloaGames 2015-08-29T16:48:00

Really well done for a first game! I liked the difficulty progression. I thought it was odd that you could only shoot at right angles and that if you moved your shots disappeared. Nice job.

Mutant Snakopede by TLansdale 2015-08-24T20:37:00

Nicely done! Very fun to play as the monster especially when you get to attack right after unburrowing.

Monster Attack! by IronPencilGames 2015-08-24T20:28:00

I like the balance of the monster versus the tank. Definitely different tactical approaches.

Monster Eggs by Riftpoint 2015-08-29T16:41:00

Nice combos. There should be a subtle warning before a new spawn point appears to give you a moment to evacuate!

Nailed by OutlawGameTools 2015-08-24T19:13:00

This would be better for the theme "You are the sociopath with the nail gun" but it's close enough. :)

Greetings, Human by boardtobits 2015-08-24T19:31:00

If you play a second game, it does not reset the votes or the codex from the previous play through.

Hero Hunt by StalsBG 2015-08-30T20:30:00

First game, the Demon Lord won with 5 gold in the treasure room and 2 damage on the boss. The combination of two devils in a pentagram room was just too much for the heroes. Sad for the demon hunter, who fell one room before reaching them.

In the second, the Thief King just took gold for half the game, winding up 24 gold ahead. No hero got to him. Managing to draw the Bloody Room, Vampire, and Bloody Bath within the first three turns meant I had an 8 HP, 3 ATK juggernaut right at the front. A demonic pact room as my first card helped pay for all this. Only the Necromancer got past the vampire, taking 3 damage and then choosing (randomly) to sneak past. However, I had a coterie of imps standing guard in the woods who easily dealt the final 1 HP blow.

Nice to see a board game entry. Consider "porting" your game to a board game engine like Tabletop Simulator, SunTzu, or Vassal. You'll get more plays!

Monster by Lou Byrd 2015-08-25T20:46:00

Pretty dark stuff! More of a narrative than a game, but I like how you structured the story.

Ubix's Undersized Breakout by HeliosStudio 2015-09-10T19:39:00

I win! Very nice art. Camera controls were a bit frustrating. How come I'm the monster and the alien isn't? It's just not fair!

Human's Industry by Lythom 2015-09-08T15:53:00

I destroyed all those terrible humans in 40 days. I didn't quite feel that the attachment system was working - in most cases I was able to select the main body and then upgrade to whatever new body part I found. I never really felt the tension of having to choose between two different parts. I also didn't feel like some of the stats mattered, such as charisma. The descriptions were fun, however, and the game sets a great mood. I could kind of picture the monster I made, but I would have loved a visual of it!

Collateral by mklee 2015-08-24T15:29:00

At first I thought you were going for a "snake" style game. Pleasantly surprised to see it went a different direction. Fun to play, good risk/reward dynamics.

Bug life by mramaizng 2015-08-24T15:24:00

Sliding is fun. Mooaaaar levels! :)

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Initial Conditions by reheated 2016-01-05T19:51:00

Really addictive. Well earned scores. When working some of the harder puzzles it'd be nice if you could "lock down" a city when you're reasonably sure it's correct, just some way to paint or tag it so you can focus on the open cities.

Don't Mess With Totems by winesays 2015-12-15T22:52:00

Gorgeous game. My best was 35, but I had a lucky string of totems. The ZX keys cramped up my hand pretty quick, putting the keys on opposite sides would help. Nice job!

Unintended Acceleration by Martin Vilcans 2015-12-18T22:00:00

I like the concept. Ramping levels would be nicer - it's pretty challenging to figure out a low impact way of getting so many cones. Or at least a more forgiving damage handler (or pit stop to repair). Good car sounds. Fun to figure out ways of safely slowing down.

Sea Level by Christian S. 2015-12-15T19:31:00

Looks nice. Couldn't figure out what to do, beyond moving driftwood and rocks around. Mouse sensitivity was very high on my Mac.

Go Fish by joekinglake 2015-12-14T20:08:00

Adorable. Interesting take on obstacles - keeps the game moving.

Stavros the DAVROS by DustyStylus 2015-12-16T04:03:00

I'm enjoying the party. Stavros is an animal!

Drone Racer by Anshul Goyal 2015-12-14T18:14:00

Bit of a learning curve on the drone controls, but by the time I got to the last level it was fun to fly through the frames. Had to download, couldn't get controller right stick to work on WebGL player on Mac.

Chaintanks by ProjectX593 2015-12-14T05:55:00

This is crazy fun! My biggest chain was 217 vehicles. It was a madhouse out there. A madhouse!

A Game About Bacteria by phi 2015-12-22T16:36:00

I've infected them all! Yay! The mutated bacteria also seem to infect the three targets - for additional challenge, the mutations should reduce infection. I liked the music.

Mystic Temple by Tipyx 2015-12-15T16:40:00

Nice! Fun to play. I think the game suffers somewhat from the two-button limitation. Separate buttons for jumping and changing lanes up would make it much more intuitive to play.

Fatness - The Epic Buffet Journey (Read Controls) by Outbreak 2015-12-16T16:21:00

High of 149. Switching to two-handed play made it go a lot easier. My tips: always return to center lane (only leave to avoid big blue) and don't toggle the middle lane until a need arises so you're only focusing on two lanes at a time.

Nice game. :) Only thing I didn't like is occasionally the RNG makes a situation where you have to thread a hairline gap and I've never been able to get past those.

Ball Crusher From Neptune by Stending 2015-12-22T16:51:00

@karlipoppins Because Stending needs to rate more games.

Loved the music. Rotation controls felt backward to me and kept tripping me up, a reverse option would be nice! :)

rising bubble by bitowl 2015-12-18T20:41:00

I enjoyed this. It was fun to move the guy around, and I loved how the background changed to suit the story. Double theme plus points. :).

Aaaaah! Crows! by Todnut 2015-12-14T23:28:00

That was fun! Only criticism that comes to mind is the crosshair should have a little more contrast. It's easy to lose sight of it when you pan through the trees.

Tile Risers by et1337 2015-12-15T23:23:00

Nice art. Input is a little slow. With such a large screen it's not hard to just jam the keys for a while and then start consolidating, but that's pretty much true in regular 2048. Definitely gets tricky when you get to the space-restricted maps!

High-rise Vine by Gipzo 2015-12-15T19:13:00

Fun. Inventive controls. Could use a tutorial to really explain the proper weaving motion for fast forward movement. Rewarding replay value. Nice job!

Snake Blaster by A.W. Apps 2015-12-14T04:38:00

Nice art style, reminiscent of Space Wars. The snake/ammo piece is a great concept and fits the growing theme perfectly.

Arkham Madness by Vertigon 2015-12-16T16:44:00

I like what you've done with the game play. The art and fx were nice and clean, and I loved the heartbeat.

I was about to say the background map was against the compo rules because you didn't make it, however the more I think about it, the more I think Google Maps classifies as a "content generator." So never mind. :)

Moo.F.O. by Maxr00 2015-12-14T04:17:00

Very nice, Lunar Lander, with cownapping. Controls were a little tricky I kept spinning out the vehicle by not paying attention to the mouse cursor - I'd prefer if it acted more like a joystick. Couldn't get through second level, the craft and the bovine got heavy, and thrust was incredibly slow. Fun to fling cows when you get the hang of it.

2ButtonsAdventure by Zyow 2015-12-22T15:50:00

Well the village is saved, you can relax now.

Nice art. Enjoyable game.

Jamming on the buttons is sufficient to beat the game. I'd like it more if the block and critical buttons were timed for a greater challenge.

Day of the Dust Bunny by UncleChris 2015-12-14T18:33:00

When Mabel got close I jumped above her and stopped until she passed. Then it got easy. Got bigger, faster, and by the time I caught up to her, jumping sent me into the stratosphere. 1200: That's the end of the shelf. 2700: Finally I come down, falling into the deep purple. 7200: Accelerating so quickly! Moving so fast that the pattern on the background seems to move backwards. 13000: Left the house! There goes the purple background, it's just horizon now and forever. I kept watching until 100k, sang Major Tom, and took a suicide pill.

Slash & Dash by Fartenko 2015-12-16T15:51:00

Pretty fun, great art and sound! Oh but that lightening... grrr. The game ends too soon, it could use some difficulty ramping. Just managing your health is hard enough without the wall of death and lightening coming at you. I would prefer three stages: I. just health, II. plus wall, III plus lightening. Then if you got killed by lightening you'd still feel like you earned a good death! Solid game, though.

Two Button Gardening by freddyw9 2015-12-14T22:59:00

220 points. I put my petals to the metal.

Replication by illblew 2015-12-14T22:50:00

Proves the point that replication is fun. : ) I would like to see you do more with the concept.

Avoid and Un-Avoid by Andrew 2015-12-14T03:46:00

404 Not Found is back.

Solstand by bloomingbuds 2015-12-17T17:15:00

Confusing gameplay, there's not enough feedback to indicate the results of your actions. There's more fish in the fish bowl, was that because of the boat or the nets and how did the tide affect it? Unclear.

However, on the plus side, the audiovisuals are freakin' awesome.

Feed The Hole by krashja 2015-12-14T04:31:00

Web player is cropped unless you go full screen. Feeding the hole was very satisfying. Num num.

Lurking Lights by xiin 2015-12-15T20:31:00

Couldn't open door on Mac with a controller or up arrow key. Main character walks too slow. :) Nice music and art style, although it was dark on my screen, could barely make out the background.

S - Court by DrFallos 2015-12-16T15:10:00

Well done. I like the timing twist on this "bin sorting" game. Once you get the hang of it, you realize that patience is all you need to win. This makes me wonder if the cash meter should drop faster. Nice art, too!

Nine Panels by Chaserbrown 2015-12-16T15:24:00

Your game link is still down.

Ball Street Journal by modenv 2015-12-15T20:13:00

Fun twist on the big fish eating small fish trope! Needing to"engulf" a company makes the reward rise with the challenge. I also liked the movement and chase mechanics, which leads to some cool dynamic situations such as whipping around your pursuer or doing a fly-by past an even larger company to distract them both.

Kept trying but couldn't break half a million. On my last attempt, I got eaten by a company with the diameter of more than half the screen that just appeared on top of me. :)

Ball Street Journal by modenv 2015-12-15T20:23:00

Finally broke half a million. Around 700K I started to fill the whole screen and a chain reaction of mergers began that ended at 3.6 million. :)

Play with Dog or Cat by okusho 2015-12-14T04:49:00

Oh I get it, the dog represents morality and the cat is the futility of meaning. Very deep.

Judge or jump ! by Iman_axe 2015-12-15T18:44:00

Cute idea! As others mentioned, the player needs feedback to know what they did wrong, and sometimes the hell-indicator is obscured by the angel. I liked musical tension.

AscenS by SayRafon 2015-12-16T16:27:00

Got a high of 65. I found the controls hard to work with: there's no keyboard acceleration and you move super quick, so it's very hard to aim the plant.

Battle Buttons by paraboxx 2015-12-14T04:46:00

Loved the sound effects and the concept. Fun idea and well executed.

Jane and the Sugar Cane by gabriel_pnc 2015-12-14T04:43:00

A score would be nice! The two-button controls give it the feel of steering a ship, but as it only turns at right angles it's a little tricky.

Shoot & Dash by thesnake91 2015-12-17T21:12:00

The OS/X link points to the Windows executable.

Colonize by WeirdMind 2015-12-14T20:01:00

Good fun! Nice job. Pretty deep gameplay for a jam.

My final score was 10010. You can trap yourself early if you overbuild. I did better when I focused on sustaining the population while getting my first set of buildings out.

You should spell out somewhere that each house increases population capacity by two and each warehouse increases storage capacity by 20, although the latter is more easily deduced.

Apple Juice Tycoon by felixreeve 2015-12-16T16:52:00

"Quentin has died from thirst." Damn. This is a cut-throat apple juice business!

BTW, you can deploy your files to pages.github.com so people won't have to download your repo to play.

Jetpack Every Day by Dietrich Epp 2015-12-22T15:42:00

Would prefer to play this two-handed, but otherwise a fun side scroller. I loved the power ups.

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Bonehenge! by colapolka 2016-08-30T03:22:00

I have pleased the bone god, which, if I'm to be completely honest, is all I really wanted to accomplish today. So thank you.

Ancient Astronomer by dhalvin 2016-08-31T04:06:00

You definitely need bots for a multiplayer game on LD. Or agree to be on at certain times so players know they can get in.

4 Dimensions by phantomunboxing 2016-08-29T03:42:00

It's pretty hard! I didn't really enjoy the core mechanic, which seemed to be remapping the controls in a nonintuitive way every time you changed your viewpoint. But good job getting it together in time. And nice spooky voice!

Telegrapher by jackyjjc 2016-08-30T03:31:00

Great theme and atmosphere. I loved the distracting messages in the corner. And I was having a good time but apparently I'm an impatient telegraph operator, and the appropriate location for such people is Siberia.

Gladius: The Destroyer by Daniel 2016-09-01T16:48:00

Ha, The "sadly" message at the end made me chuckle and was a sufficient victory laurel, thank you. It was a little difficult to maneuver around steps at times; I got stuck once. Nice art! Fun.

Flying Flip Phone by appleskin 2016-08-29T04:17:00

Nice job. Kind of a Lunar Lander meets "can you hear me now."

The Art of the Rope by Aun 2016-08-31T04:01:00

Wow, lots of levels, I got through a dozen or so. Love the art style. The puzzles were effective but also ... weird! It feels like you're solving them blind, feeling your way around until some things seem familiar. Some mechanics were easy to pick up, like the level goals. Some took work, like which direction will these same-color ropes merge, and dammit I keep forgetting that rule breaks on an edge rope. Others were head scratchers, like when a green and a blue merge they ... uh ... they ... my head hurts. :) You made something unique here.

Pharablock by mvasko2 2016-08-30T16:44:00

Hey, that's fun. Too bad you couldn't get the slingshot cord in but we get the point without it. :) Some additional aid for aiming would be nice, perhaps an angle and power indicator. The additional blocks definitely increases the challenge. I'd love 1-3 short cut key for changing the blocks.

The Trade Network by scriptorum 2016-09-01T03:49:00

Thanks for the great feedback, everyone!

I put up a post-compo version, and this one has the ability to copy (C) and paste (P) level codes. Here are a few random levels I thought were half-decent.

R1833308256
R1197157162
R-1227625050
R-1463715304
R611065350
R-717291648

Also I unlocked the crappy editor if you want to tailor your own levels (E to toggle edit mode, 0-7 to paint). There is no save mechanics, so copy the level code as above. (Although it'll be a longer code.)

Shrine by RugbugRedfern 2016-08-29T04:42:00

I like the art style and the music is fitting. Fun game. I had trouble navigating jumps, especially on edges of platforms.

Xolotl by SetTheBet 2016-08-29T02:20:00

Very well put together. Lovely music. The puzzles are dastardly. I'm still struggling with the doors, I can open the final door but can't figure out how to reach that ledge.

Xolotl by SetTheBet 2016-09-01T21:12:00

@SetTheBet Thanks for the tip, I just couldn't visualize the location. :) I'm on the last level now. I feel like I'm so close, but that 2nd door comes down just too quickly. I found a small shortcut from the upper right switch but it's not enough. Harumph!

Log Driver by leuus 2016-08-29T05:07:00

I'm an expert log driver now, thank you. Nice character art, loved the scoot animation. Not very difficult but I enjoyed it.

S**ON by jakatpemadi 2016-08-30T02:03:00

I feel kind of responsible for the guy's illness so I'm glad I found the spoon to help him with. Story A++. The music grows on you, like a fungus, a super cheerful fungus.

Aqueducts of Solomon by LoneSpelunker 2016-08-29T05:58:00

Fun game! Got 24 on my second game. Great concept, and gorgeous art. Very well done.

Sumer Game by Rico The Jammer 2016-08-29T04:47:00

Orienting the stylus was finicky and I got frustrated quickly. I like the concept. I think you'd be better off starting with smaller sequences of characters to draw to ramp up the difficulty.

Pyramid Scheme by pushxtonotdie 2016-09-01T22:05:00

"It's all over. Like a drug bust. How do you feel about that?" LOL. Funny game. Nice parallaxing. I wasn't playing a game about a lifecoach, I WAS a life coach!

Pyramid AI by Deive_Ex 2016-09-05T17:02:00

Fun game! It would be improved by a minimap or some way to know where the threats are coming from. I didn't really like the controls, perhaps RMB to possess the weapon would work better? Loved the viscera FX!

Stonehenge Earthquake by jsonbee 2016-08-29T05:18:00

Those rocks are such jerks! This game could be rethemed "dropped my walllet in the mosh pit." The music is fittingly frenetic for the action.

The Last Machine Before the World Ends by urielgamedev 2016-09-01T22:40:00

This is madness. Madness!!!

Nice pixel art, though. :)

Ninurta: Granary Defense by kraiom 2016-08-30T03:10:00

Gorgeous graphics and animations, really nice. I didn't last long enough to really check out the heavenly powers - once anyone made it to the granary I found near impossible to catch them with the bow, which is tricky to use and aim any how.

Sorter of Antiques by alfadur 2016-08-31T03:36:00

These. Antiques. Are. SORTED!

Good idea and relevant to the theme. Some funny items in the list. I'm not sure I agree that this needs more content: it's short and serves its purpose really well. This concept would make a great mini-game in another game.

Fireworks Grandmaster by local minimum 2016-09-01T16:40:00

Great writing, it was funny. I also enjoyed the accompanying music. I still don't quite understand what it is my customers were asking for, but that's kind of the essence of the game. :) Nice job!

Ice, Fire, Сodfish and Sheeps by BloodJohn 2016-08-29T05:12:00

I agree with the other comments, great atmosphere, needs better instruction. Really loved the ember effect in the long house. Good job!

A Dragons Tale by TiByte 2016-08-30T01:29:00

Good work. I killed the dragon, which left me feeling unsatisfied so I killed two sheep, which didn't help, so then I killed a person. And the I was just a dragonslayer with an oathbow and nothing to do. A simple "You're awesome, the townsfolk love you!" would be nice at the end. I mean assuming I didn't kill the sole remaining townie.

Kyomon by Xinelu 2016-08-29T04:33:00

Nice job. I'm pretty sure I was unstoppable up until the moment I wasn't. :) Not quite sure how the hot bar spells worked, but I was spamming them at every opportunity.

The Ruins of Proxima Centauri B by eott 2016-09-01T16:52:00

Time manipulation is a good mechanic, despite my inability to time those spears and constantly jumping into them. :) II agree on the checkpoints. Nice background noise.

Aquadrata by Four Quarters 2016-09-01T17:17:00

Wow, fantastic. I don't know what I just played but I loved it! :) I got two of the endings (brute dismantle and the maze+block+qix puzzles). Really curious about the third. :) Is it eating jellyfish, because I downed about three of them without so much as a tummy ache! Beautiful art, fitting music, and brilliant atmosphere. Plus it fits the theme. Kudos.

DYSCOVR by Sean 2016-08-31T03:22:00

Interesting. The social aspect of the game is compelling, but I didn't run into any artifacts logged by other players. The shader effect is pretty cool, although it makes the coordinates hard to read. Nice music. Well suited to the theme.

Mummy craft by Sabina Lis 2016-09-01T21:31:00

I got three bodies prepped.

The recipes were confusing at first, I thought they were randomly chosen and you had to deduce them. Then I spied that 3x3 tablet, and thought the three symbols separated by the vertical dividers were the recipes (not true, it's horizontal).. Only until I pressed and held on this tablet did I see the help illustration and understand the recipes.

I think you should amend your entry to include these rules in the description. One click selection would be more convenient for glyph entry. I liked the art style. Great idea for the theme. :)

Drug Maker Extreme by demogorgon 2016-09-06T16:07:00

Fun, but hard to get started. I'd like to hit you up with some of that sweet level 4 hardness, but I'm not quite sure how! :) The recipes screen should indicate what level hardness things are, so I can properly figure out hit people up with that sweetly. Good idea though.

It might be helpful and more thematic to specify on the lab page what you would be creating, and perhaps use a unique term for the combination. e.g., boil 1g vatilodo, distill 1g kedorodu, dissolve, blend, suffuse, mix, bind, etc. But more importantly is to let us play with the combinations rather than having to reference the recipe page.

Carp Diem by pogo575 2016-08-29T04:14:00

Fish are mean! I like the aesthetic.

Tomb Robbers by facelesstheone 2016-09-01T22:24:00

That's a lot of looters! At some point you'd think, hey, this place is all looted out, it's so looted yesterday, you know? Why don't we go down the street and rob Zeroinkhammen's tomb instead?

I wish A) there was a timer on all of the traps, and B) there was a drop trap on the last row instead of the bugs. But otherwise I really enjoyed playing. Good game!

Biomass by MrNyarlathotep 2016-08-31T04:13:00

Pretty game. One of my plants would always fire at the out-of-range target before swiveling around to the closer target. Harumph!

Proxima by edgeofcode 2016-08-30T02:41:00

Wow, one gets thirsty super fast on planet Proxima. I love that intro page font. The music sets the mood appropriately, and I dig the art style. But I shouldn't have eaten those berries...

Ancient Siege by dwhiffing 2016-08-29T04:59:00

Loved it. Really fun concept once you grok it. I'd like if there was a mechanism to teach you the patterns for the units, such as when a new pattern is made the game pauses a moment to show you a brief popup of the unit and its abilities. Nice job!

Angry Trebuchet by jcmonkey 2016-08-29T05:21:00

Nice. I like the trebuchet animation. Hope you feel better!

Total Irrigation by cjames 2016-08-30T03:05:00

Nice game. The difficulty was a bit of a mix - some levels easy, some really taxed my noggin. Good puzzling!

No Man Has Gone Before by KevKevOnFire 2016-08-29T04:02:00

Cool terminal effect. I'm not sure if you call a planet colonized with only 43 people but I'll give it a go! I really like the style of it.

Lost Kas by ThreeLivesGames 2016-09-02T15:55:00

Got a crash on the OSX version. The crash report indicated EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) and "Reason: image not found" although it doesn't mention which.

TBFTWOR_LD36 by joemid 2016-08-31T03:08:00

Hrmph. Can't get this to run. Just hangs, and the console logs something about not being able to store lsd-identifiers.

For The Love Of Money by KunoNoOni 2017-05-02T03:16:21Z

*I got all the money bags! Woo!* Couldn't get the mac app to run straight out, had to chmod +x the executable inside the app. Nice platformer with varying challenges. I like the anim on the player character. I wish the player moved with the platforms as they went side to side. Do the downward pointy spikes work? I've grazed a few and lived. :)

Endless Hexagon by David Cookie 2017-05-10T20:36:55Z

I love me some hex games. My score topped out at 3800. I guess I didn't find it very intuitive - even with your strategy suggestion (recycle as many at once) I was always at a loss at how to efficiently raise the gauges without creating a swath of ruined tiles. Instead of showing up or down triangles, maybe showing a blinking red or green bar on the gauges would be helpful, to indicate the amount each gauge will rise or fall. But it was fun playing, so nice job!

Intergalactic Gold Rush by Omiya Games 2017-05-03T02:16:44Z

Really great art and a solid entry. The gameplay is frantic with hex tiles about to fall away at your feet and angry horned pac people coming at me. The time high score is easy to exploit by sitting on a water tile and just casting your magic. But by doing, that the gameplay slows down and you can approach exploring with a little more caution and ease. (That is, until those damned pacholes spawn en masse.) Nice work!

Star Traveller by SecondDimension 2017-05-07T17:18:58Z

Lovely art style, reminds me of [Gigantic's](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX4mqbvv5lGqLpI4FYlJt4w) work with Adobe Illustrator. I liked the music too. The lack of non-musical sound effects creates a kind of impersonal distance from the scene, I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'm not that bothered by the simplicity of the gameplay as others are, a game needs to be engaging, but being challenging is optional (albeit popular). Nice job!

Shrunk by TimTipGames 2017-05-03T19:39:49Z

It is damn fun to walk around with an army of bees and ants. Well, bees more than ants, but still damn fun. I ended my second play-through with almost 50 spare health potions. I was only in danger once, when I wasn't paying attention to my soldier count and they were decimated. Ran away, spamming heal, until I found the site of the last battle, littered with corpses. :smiling_imp:

I didn't notice much if any power drain from raising the dead. Seems like there should be, or perhaps it should come from your own health meter. In the case of the latter, maybe you could gain health from corpses by holding RMB? Also, I suggest that when you're idle your mana regen rate should accelerate.

Nice, clean art style. I spent most of my first gameplay walking around the grass until I realized they were carpets, not obstacles. Only other nitpick is I'd like more sound effects from the creatures, so when your army is walking around there's a din of buzzing and creeping. Right now you only hear your own steps.

Great entry, I enjoyed it!

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-04-24T07:18:53Z

@w1n5t0n Yeah, I hacked up that tute text in the last few hours. Turns out, one liners in stilted alienspeak aren't the best way to communicate a rule set. :smirk:

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-01T15:59:42Z

@elzach I just ran out of time. I threw the title song together in less than 30 minutes, and it's not very good. :smirk:

@for-science Identical moves and **timing** should have identical results. The physics engine is constantly trying to compress the world, which means that you can get different results by waiting a while or even rushing your next click. Usually, if you wait for the world to "settle," the outcome will be repeatable.

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-01T21:38:19Z

@spaceman Yeah, it's a result of using continuous physics; I didn't like any of the deterministic options I explored. The game definitely requires you to frequently restart and try small changes. It's mean!

@zelos Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it!

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-02T02:12:18Z

@realitycheck You've got to remove the green and brown areas in quick succession, before they get a chance to settle. The clue, as @tombishopspg stated, is in the level text. I probably should have made the clue more explicit. You can also hit ] to skip the level.

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-02T18:56:49Z

@devastus Yeah, for some reason world 11 tends to be super hard! It often seems unsolvable, but with persistence I can usually find a solution. It's probably because the random missions have *5 x level* terrain parts, but 1 bomb for every 4 parts. The consequence of rounding down means mission 11 is shorted three-quarters of a bomb. I probably should drive terrain size from the number of bombs, instead of vice versa. :smirk: Mission 15 is hard too, but as the worlds get bigger the loss of a bomb has less impact.

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-04T22:33:12Z

@ryte2byte I think the mistake isn't so much using physics as it is making it a turn-based puzzle. As an action puzzler, under a timer and perhaps with waves of planet tiles coming at you, I think this mechanic would work better. A lack of precision would be expected under those conditions. I didn't spend much effort on a deterministic solution because my physics prototype felt so satisfying when everything smushed together.

@zorg I concur with all your suggestions! I wanted to add creatures and animate the terrain, but higher priorities intervened. :smirk:

Your Planet: Too Big by Scriptorum 2017-05-12T03:04:35Z

@le-slo There is no end; after ten levels, and the final achievement, if you hit SPACE it should then go onto random missions where the worlds get progressively larger. Did it freeze on you?

Orchardstra by CyberStarLight 2017-05-01T19:47:55Z

Five stars for weird! :) I couldn't figure out how to replant, or how exactly a singers position on a face of the world affected the melody, but it was fun to mess with. Love the singer designs.

Luggage Robber by bemmu 2017-05-05T18:32:34Z

I don't know what's going on here, like, at all, but this is how I'm traveling in the future. Kick luggage, buy ticket, board plane, repeat ... I'm pretty sure that's a metaphor for something. Also, I've tried kicking people before and not one has ever splattered so completely. I mean I put a dent in one person once. And I didn't kick them, sort of ran them over because I thought they were telling me it was clear to back up but they were just talking with their hands and I smashed their kneecaps. Really they were fine. No splatter at all. I forgot, what was I talking about? Oh yes, good entry, nice job.

Mallows World Adventure by geeitsomelaldy 2017-05-01T19:36:08Z

Nice! I was able to thaw my brother, but the controls were fighting me. Many times it would give the message as if I didn't have the item needed. Dropping all but the item in question sometimes helped. I had no idea that the Sri Lankan gave me a hat, I thought it was some freshly baked bread. :smirk: I liked the music variety and the marshmallow people.

EAT by djfariel 2017-05-02T02:59:01Z

Good looking game. It looks great with all the debris and the beast getting bigger. The largest I was able to grow mine was 12 segments .Then, as @move127 says, a long laser beam comes out from off-screen and whittles you down to nothing. I enjoyed the music too.

Paper traveller by dunin 2017-05-10T21:21:35Z

Good looking game and an interesting concept! Drawing in the land with brush is really satisfying. The text descriptions in the puzzles were a little confusing. For instance:

> I navigate along it one day more in the direction of North-East, but now I can see the beach where I first arrived

According to the walk through this meant I was supposed to draw a line from the NE end point to the spot where you first find land, but didn't understand that's what you meant by it.

The pen tool was less fun to use. Maybe add a ruler tool? So you could measure out one day northeast before drawing. You are obviously better at drawing free hand with the mouse than me, I found it tough - I would rather unlock "stencils" which I could use to adorn the map. Anyhow, great entry!

SmallHexWorld by japes 2017-05-10T20:51:34Z

Love this! I topped out around 7200 points. It would be helpful if hovering a piece over without dropping it gave you a peek at what the scores would be. Obviously the art could use some work, :smirk: but you've got some really solid game mechanics here. Reminds me of board games like Quadropolis and Suburbia.

An Adventurer's Exodus by Aggrathon 2017-05-01T21:00:15Z

Fun. The strategic combat is successful, particularly when you have three friendlies to play with. The game froze up on me also, flickering, when I went to another town. Not enough opportunities to level up stats, making melee fighting less useful. Well done for 48 hours!

A Small War by hadesfury 2017-05-02T21:50:24Z

Really nice looking game. Fits the theme perfectly. The four lane mechanic is pretty solid. I found it easy to win by evenly spamming the four lanes and then shoring up the weak spots. I think I'd like this more with multiple enemies on the planet (say, 4 or even 6), then I'd have to manage my lanes more carefully.

Shelton's Detour by Dining Philosopher 2017-05-16T20:31:47Z

The rotation is disorienting but also part of the charm, so it's not a complaint. Liked the art. More sounds and music would improve the experience. Controlling the turtle could use a little more polish, coming to a stop takes a bit long. I could not get past the cold checkpoint, no matter how cold I got, even waiting for the sun to drop, I still jumped too high to clear the passage. Great application of the theme and a solid entry.

Petri World by raincole 2017-05-02T18:31:36Z

I'd love to see where you take this. It's not really a game right now, but there is a certain fun in trying to see how man divisions you can cause simultaneously. :fireworks: Maybe different kinds of food, different dropper size (amount of food dropped), and different per-organism responses to the food (shrink, enlarge, stimulate division, combine, kill, repel). Then you could introduce goals, like adjusting the concentrations of each organism, or separating by color. Just some thoughts!

Unnamed Space Project by Devastus 2017-05-02T17:40:12Z

Looks good! I loved the ship landing and all that. It's really hard from the get-go: if you don't manage to collect enough resources before the countdown ends, there's no way you're going to survive the first wave. But I had fun *done goofing*. :smirk:

Space Aliens Are Coming by RealityCheck 2017-05-01T20:25:47Z

Die aliens! Die! Don't worry, I killed the aliens for you guys. **Operation Follow One Guy Around The Planet And Everyone Else Can Go Jump In A Lake** was a success!

* I think the rockets should continue propelling until offscreen, rather than stopping at where you clicked. * The rotation controls would get confusing when you're on the other side of the planet. Not sure what the fix is though. Maybe flip the left/right meaning based on what side of the planet you're on? That and add up/down.

Fun stuff. I like that they made babies and visited the hospital, that's a great touch. :)

Space Aliens Are Coming by RealityCheck 2017-05-02T03:01:31Z

@realitycheck You would only check for direction flip on key down. While the key was held, it would maintain the rotation it started with.

Little Fortune Planet by Flaterectomy 2017-05-02T02:04:46Z

I don't ... what th-- ... I ...

There is some genuine insanity going on here. Funny stuff, great card art, awesome dolphin parts.

War in the Sky by ZYXer 2017-05-17T13:45:56Z

Beautiful art work and style. Lovely animation. So sad you didn't get any audio in there, it would have really improved the already wonderful mood. The game mechanics work well. The world could have been a lot smaller, it doesn't take that much to build the ministry, but it looks great. I gather you would eventually add other opponents and a bigger tech tree, etc. Of course, I would have liked the ability to demolish a spot. The ability to "deselect" from the queue would also be nice, but I can see an argument for keeping it the way it is. Nice entry!

Antagonistic : Hamburger Hill by ryte2byte 2017-05-04T22:17:57Z

*44% may be a dismal failure in your book, but did you see the size of those beetles?!*

Burger Defense at its finest. My favorite part is the spit sounds, but I'm a weirdo. The ant mounds weren't as powerful as I'd like - spend 3 seconds deploying them, and 3 seconds to watch them torn down. Nice models, particularly your main character. The enemy compass indicators weren't that helpful without anything to gauge direction.

Ultimately I feel it's the Queen's fault for leaving her hamburger on the ground.

Tiny Battlehex by meisterfuu 2017-05-09T18:01:43Z

Nice job! I love games like this. It starts out pretty fun. By the mid-game, it turns into a bit of a clickfest.

- The spawn rate gets high so quickly that it becomes impossible to deploy all your units. You quickly reach the castle maximums, and you're spending all your time clicking trying to get them out of the castle. - A losing opponent can hold out for an interminable amount of time just because you can't deploy troops fast enough. The long press to send half the units doesn't give any audible feedback, so I found my attention split between the castle and the front lines, with most of that time spent waiting for the long press to finish. Either that or clicking like a crazy person. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: - Choosing another base to send units from is almost an edge case because only the castle produces units.

Some suggestions to address these issues: a) slow down the spawn rate, b) add the ability to set up deployment routes, such that units are auto-deployed between two points when the source hex has reached maximum capacity, and c) change "send half" to RMB, shift-click, or double click, or anything faster than the long press.

Grillmeister by tomdeal 2017-05-02T18:52:51Z

Nice! Very fun once you get the hang of it. I got 51 stars on my last attempt. Boy I would have appreciated a second serving plate. I'm glad I never had a job as a short order cook! :hamburger: :scream:

Brotozoa by ruthiepee 2017-05-02T03:29:35Z

Nice music, mellow. (It played once and didn't loop.) I also dig the art style. The game is really not that fun though: after you smash the spacebar while wiping the screen, you then run around and clean up after the hombres until you get bored or you get lucky. Maybe if when you spew out your cloud of friendship you added a knock back effect on nearby entities? That way you could try to separate the hombres from your friends.

Polar Protector by AlexHoratio 2017-05-02T21:38:49Z

This was fun! My high score was 126. I'd have liked it if there were warning indicators to where the closest enemies were. A little music or ambient background would have taken it up a notch. The different ammo is a great mechanic. Good work!

Ruin a picnic! by kovareka 2017-05-02T17:51:04Z

Adorable. Since the handle of the swatter doesn't kill you, seems like the trick is to walk from side to side on the sandwich. This works until you get to the second sandwich, and then *fuhgeddaboudit*. I wish there was some music during gameplay, something "Eye of the Tiger" or overly dramatic to contrast the tininess of the protagonist. Good job.

Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive by slimabob 2017-05-01T04:05:17Z

This gave me a chuckle. It's satisfying to drag additional astronomical crap around. I would have liked acceleration to ramp up as the planet got bigger, but that's a nitpick. Nice job!

Destruction Zone by Chronosv2 2017-05-01T21:28:20Z

Bit of a learning curve, but it gets fun. Starting with 1HP enemies would be nice for a warm-up. I liked the power-ups. The aiming is a little difficult, if you're going to show a cursor a custom reticle might be nicer. I'd also like a blast radius on those bullets, they are really tricky to land until you're spray them later. :) Good work.

Mini Planets by Willbl3pic 2017-05-02T21:24:20Z

I like the cannon mechanic. :gun: The game glitched every time I got to the cannon on the big platform (where you first meet the T things). I found it really hard not to fall off because acceleration/deceleration is *suuuuuper slow*. Also the camera is bit too close to the player, making it hard to line up your movements. Good entry!

Grow Little Planet by jin47 2017-05-03T17:14:48Z

This is a solid entry. You got the controls down pat, and it looks good. It's fun to watch the planet grow. I really liked the "stop thrust" on the ship, both how it looked and how it worked. I would have liked a little more challenge, as others have mentioned, such as enemies or fuel. Just flying around was enjoyable, though. Nice job!

The Time of Our Lives by tddawson 2017-05-15T17:13:50Z

I had trouble getting past the second rung, which is about as far as I get in real life.

The thing about a memory game is some things are easy to remember (symbols of familiar objects, places, distinct and unique patterns), and everything else is work. For me, memorizing color sets is work, especially with the large number of gradations possible. To reduce the difficulty. maybe add face variety, symbols and patterns on the shirts, and distinctions in height, girth, and stride.

If you make eye contact long enough with an acquaintance, it'd be nice if they showed recognition of you, sort of a trade off of time versus assistance. I'd also like some way to yell at someone to get them to turn around. Or throw rocks at them...

The obit afterward is hilarious. I like that you got in different styles of greeting.

uP-8: Microprocessor by Spaceman 2017-05-01T18:15:51Z

I'm on a Mac. I had no lucking getting the WebGL version to run, and the desktop version didn't recognize my arrow keys when in the editor. This was okay for level one, but by level two the program was large enough that the lack of line-level editing was painful. Not knowing which line caused the malformed error didn't help. :disappointed: But I liked the premise and thought you guys did an impressive amount of work for the time allotted.

*UPDATE: BTW, the arrow keys worked in command mode to bring up previous commands*

The Life Amoebic by Baby Dino Herd 2017-05-03T01:49:09Z

Atmospheric, mellow game. I didn't find it much trouble growing my amoeba; once it becomes all loose and stringy, it's easy and fun to whip a long lasso around. Clever design!

Space^3 by boats 2017-05-16T20:51:46Z

Great concept and a fun shooter. I enjoyed flying around from face to face. It felt like a bit of a cheat to run away so the enemies would respawn. Perhaps as a punishment, if you retreat from a space it should create another spawner in your absence. It was also a little bit too easy to accidentally change faces, so maybe another button press or combo is warranted here. Good music and powerups. The game froze up on me after getting my third power-up, but a nice entry overall.

Murder Mitosis by _for_science 2017-05-01T16:12:33Z

The game looks and sounds great! You could make the controls a little easier by making the "go-aggressive" button a toggle instead of a hold. I'm impressed that you got in AI opponents.

Colorfly by Zelos 2017-05-01T22:04:40Z

So relaxing, it really evokes a mood. I like the colorful art style. And of course the music is wonderful, I can't believe you fit in so many pieces. AND you fit in two styles of gameplay! I would have liked the gameplay to be more challenging. Also if the musical cue upon grabbing a sphere changed to fit the current song playing, sometimes it didn't blend. But overall, great job for a compo.

Qwer CiTy by Le Slo 2017-05-11T19:49:21Z

:alien: *GAH!* When the aliens are disembarking to the rooftops and the buildings are crumbling around you is where this game really shines. Good choice of music and sound effects. The art style was consistent, it felt like a cross between fine art and EGA mode. Although I'm a fast typist, I just could not train my brain to use the right keys. You had an H on the helipad/H-key - which was helpful - and I wish you continued that symbology for all the buildings. As for the learning curve, maybe if you started with a small subset of buildings/keys, and after each subsequent wave introduced more. Nice entry.

LD-38 SUPER SMALL WORLDS by elZach 2017-05-01T07:12:44Z

Although I found the controls a bit mushy, there's some really nice level design here, and a good variety of music. I like the models too. :tada: Oh and the ease at which you can fall off the victory platform reminded me of Trials HD.

The New Kid by Saurabh 2017-05-01T07:38:17Z

I like the premise. It's too bad you ran out of time and couldn't develop the idea further. The choices are a bit slight, especially with you showing the user the success percentage. Still, there's something entertaining about watching our network expand... :handshake:

Soleil by JoyFired 2017-05-01T04:25:05Z

Tricky to control! Too bad you couldn't get the camera scripts working. But good job getting something in that demonstrates the concept. Sorry you found your first time agonizing. :confounded: It gets easier the next time.

Cartography by Zorg 2017-05-02T18:13:10Z

Simple but complete puzzle with an ending. Good work, especially considering you didn't have experience with the tools. I would have liked a faster walking speed, since a "walking simulator" usually has a lot of detail to look at while you're walking. I spent maybe five minutes, mostly just wandering, and then in the last couple minutes getting serious in the business of maze running.

*Yay, I've ascended into particle physics!*

Entropy by SleepyStudios 2017-05-10T20:04:09Z

There wasn't a lot to do in the game (in terms of variety), but I can see this being fun if you expand the roles. I loved the choice of music, and the layered art creates a great look of chaos. I agree with @aviland about needing acceleration of advantage to help conclude the end game.

Stable Orbit by mrspeaker 2017-05-01T17:09:46Z

Love this game! Really hard, so it's rewarding when you achieve a stable orbit. Fitting audio, nice art, great mood. All around top notch. Good work!

Orbitunes by ColeSlaughter 2017-05-10T20:11:30Z

Very clever design! Although it's not a game yet, it's quite a fun sandbox to play with. It's just entertaining to spam balls at the center and see what happens. Great job!

The Small Black by Phlip45 2017-05-10T21:39:43Z

I loved the custom text when one of your systems fails. I didn't like the time box -- it's not a great control and going beyond a fix time of 1 didn't seem to have any benefit. It could use some more interesting choices: what if you had a hand of cards to choose from, and each card indicated the time cost, chance of success, and how much it would repair/damage the systems? Say, `(2min) 60% Life:+3 Gen:+1`.

Rock Hammer by Airman4 2017-05-12T03:11:00Z

Good job! I like the art style. The lack of audio is sorely missed! It's a simple gameplay concept but it works. It's fairly unforgiving when you miss a shot, sometimes you just can't get off a second. Nice touch with the screen shake!

Slowjumper by Scriptorum 2017-12-04T19:18:00Z

@tvance The high pitched portal sound (if that's the one you mean) I made by tweaking and cutting a random patch in BFXR. Here's the patch: `2,0.5,0.0931,0.5153,0.0822,0.9646,0.0596,0.4788,0.0454,0.0749,-0.0189,0.0475,0.188,0.0362,0.5983,0.5336,-0.3627,0.3038,-0.9585,0.0215,0.9227,-0.9732,0.7347,-0.5957,0.2974,0.8174,0.3768,0.0753,0.0062,0.3704,0.0078,-1,masterVolume` The exit sound is the wav reversed in Audacity. If you mean the gold drop off sound, that was also BFXR: `8.0665,0.5,0.1277,0.2624,0.0603,0.6897,0.4893,0.3972,0.0746,-0.0304,-0.2076,0.2147,0.4501,,0.911,0.6273,-0.2878,0.1475,-0.5081,0.6145,0.808,0.3802,0.5514,-0.9432,0.5668,0.7297,0.0264,0.2891,,-0.6132,0.7736,-0.7633,masterVolume`

@mik3 @badly-drawn-rod @baknik Yeah, the controls are too float for my taste too! But I ran out of time. That will teach me to stop using the Unity physics engine for anything important.

Uncanny Dodge by Dubgron 2017-12-04T14:27:40Z

I got to 29. It's tricky to figure out which knight goes with each letter. Spamming clones can keep you going for a while, but isn't worth any points. :) I found two clones to work well, aligning them with each other. I like the look of the game. Too bad you couldn't get some audio in! Good job.

Holiday Parking Panic! by FormalCloud 2017-12-04T03:54:20Z

Great mood, very funny. Things I learned:

1. I drive like shit. 2. Everyone else drives worse. 3. Cars are surprisingly explosive.

The Last Stand at Epsilon Tauri B by geeitsomelaldy 2017-12-04T18:19:04Z

LOL those distress alarms were hilarious. Fun to play. Somewhat confusing when enemies appear at the top but don't wrap around at the bottom. Nice use of the theme.

Robox! by ted 2017-12-04T15:33:42Z

Gorgeous looking game. Fun to play, and more of an experience than a challenge. Sooooo wish you added audio to this!

Dodge X by cogcomp 2017-12-04T04:37:37Z

Level 3 was hard! I couldn't figure out the firing pattern in time.

Star Destroyer by Jaloko 2017-12-04T04:44:38Z

I felt this was more Drunk at a Discotheque than Star Destroyer, but the lights were pretty nonetheless. I lasted 154 seconds. Once you start growing it gets very challenging to forestall the inevitable.

Cats are assholes by deepnight 2017-12-06T16:47:02Z

Gorgeous, as usual. My cats murdered me.

Pumpkin Quest by dusho 2017-12-04T13:50:49Z

Stupid blue varmints! I like the look of the game. And smashing insects with a spade. A music track would be welcome.

unipsychle by niksg 2017-12-04T04:03:30Z

Super hard! Great application of the theme. I got to 192m. Oh, and hi.

Drink Drink DRINK by baknik 2017-12-04T04:32:45Z

21 beers. I'm set. Those last few were ... uh ... moving around a lot. One of the better drink simulators I've played.

Knights and Kings by Chaosinism 2017-12-04T04:27:47Z

I felt stronger playing with just my king than with all the other pieces, but I suppose that's your thematic point. ;)

Cantrex by snick 2017-12-04T14:06:30Z

I made it about 44 seconds. It's tough because you can eat all possible pigs and not get hit and still starve. I think maybe pigs should contain more nutrition, but die on impact and start to rot, reducing nutrition. This way you're rewarded more for catching the pig than picking one up. A live pig should die when hit by a bomb, giving you at least some nutrition. I did have fun playing, and like the art style.

Hungry Dino by nax_89 2017-12-06T16:26:06Z

Nice levels! A couple of them were tricky. It's a well put-together package, with the walkable main menu and level editor. Impressive.

Phaeria's Mine by AVAVT 2017-12-05T16:57:00Z

Nicely done! That betrayal sound effect made me jump out of my seat.

Intergalactic Misfortune [Compo] by TwinGhosts 2017-12-05T16:33:42Z

Man, that last level is hard! I could not crack it. This is a fun game. Great audio.

Heavy Hearts by Badly Drawn Rod 2017-12-04T14:16:34Z

Cool idea. Instead of popping enemy balloons, I'd love it if you could steal the balloon for more buoyancy. :)

BTW, I get an undefined assertion in Safari.

Milk Hunt by Weizengaming 2017-12-06T21:18:35Z

I kept dying without a cow in sight. Well, that's not entirely true, I died a couple times because a cow nuzzled me to death, but the other times I just got stuck and the game demanded a restart. I like the top-down perspective, this is exactly the perspective you'd need to avoid a murder cow attack in real life.

KissaGame by azuredraco 2017-12-06T16:41:07Z

I like the old man grumbles. :) I had trouble getting my cats to breed, but my house had turned into a giant bowl of pet food by the end.

Catamari by Kieran Newland 2017-12-04T18:26:22Z

I ate six sausages and then got stuck in the window. It's almost as if the more you have, the worse it is! And sometimes, you know, it's hard to eat with your face.

Escape by henriksoderberg 2017-12-04T15:20:40Z

Fun game! Made it to the end and wished there were more. :) An interesting twist on gravity/slingshot games.

Mo' Gold, Mo' Dragons by tvance 2017-12-04T19:11:51Z

Nice dragon physics! I didn't find it confusing. It was very hard to force two dragons to collide - get in the middle and hope for mayhem.

Tri-Angle by FussenKuh 2017-12-04T04:21:48Z

Nice job with the instructions and the animated bits. I thought your application of the theme was good. My high score was 214.64. It's really difficult to plan a good shot, you don't have a lot of warning beyond the first few back bubbles.

Ocean Cleanup by vila3175 2017-12-04T04:11:52Z

Cool boat physics. Best garbage collecting game so far. I also liked the ocean color changing.

Xmas Fair Drinking Simulator by Wakka2 2017-12-06T21:26:05Z

If you're not going to get out of my way when I'm cold and seeking alcohol, you're going to get race rounded. That's just how that is.

Ninjewels! by FinalForeach 2017-12-04T03:49:44Z

I like the look of the game. Controls are smooth. It was very easy to dodge the bullets and landmines and win because you're so fast. But I guess that's ninjas for you. :)
