I love the look of this, very crisp. The music and sound effects look nice too.

10/10 Would Starve again b/c I was worried about dying of thirst!

Really liked the spin on this genre with the timed bars.

Minor downside is that I'm not sure how it fits the theme however, do I eventually stumble across ancient alien technology?

Enjoyed it tho

dragonzbw 2016-08-30 02:37

The hydration goes down too fast and I couldn't find any water :\
I do like the mood and music though, not sure about the theme

Wow, one gets thirsty super fast on planet Proxima. I love that intro page font. The music sets the mood appropriately, and I dig the art style. But I shouldn't have eaten those berries...

edgeofcode 2016-08-30 02:44

@Drumsmasher17 and @DragonZBW (SparkLight Games) yes, there is ancient alien technology to be found on the planet!

I really like the stlye, very clean and good-looking. But if you make the wrong choice once (without knowing it) you have no chance to survive. I for example went to the clearing and then didn't have enough hydration to survive until I was at the lake.

Wow, really cool game, I really enjoyed it!

kraiom 2016-08-30 03:22

The game is just great. Love the visuals, the sounds, all of it. The speed at which I get thirsty and hungry is unnerving! All the texts are also really cool, especially the "honour of checking if the air is breathable" :)

Would be really nice to see the concept explored more deeply!

(ah, I also liked that the only safe berry is the one that wouldn't normally look safe to eat)

ripporkins 2016-08-30 03:57

For some reason the game would glitch with the inventory showing no text and empty buttons. Atmosphere was great, and I actually felt like my heart rate was increasing when I was scrambling to get water!

A little too much text for my liking but the gameplay is great. I had some trouble with hydration management though and there's a bug with sleeping.

If you sleep once you don't have to wait for the bar to fill up again.

Love the format and the music!

bloodjohn 2016-08-30 04:57

Good story in the beginning, which is immersed in the game. For my taste the level of difficulty and the beginning of the game should be lower. I managed to deal with the functionality. But to find water I failed :( Found an empty bottle (I'm definitely the first person on this planet?!) looks like a mockery. :)

Really enjoyed this survival game, sounds were great and the game looked very good.

wevel 2016-08-30 11:49

Very cool game, seemed very difficult to find things to drink so I kept dying. Also when you have slept once then it takes no time to do it again. Other wise a very nice game

anudin 2016-08-30 13:55

I love the telling style reminded me much of good old Dungeons & Dragons (the pen & paper version). Good stuff. Same with the sounds for scouting - really nice! But the hunger and thirst are a little to harsh i guess

xesenix 2016-08-30 16:57

Very nice aesthetics and music but constantly dropping stats discourage of reading text maybe use them only while engaging in some actions?

xgeovanni 2016-08-31 16:56

It would have been nice to have different art for each area, which I imagine you probably wanted to do but ran out of time.

The constantly draining bars made things stressful, which is probably a decent representation of what the character would feel in this situation. Whether this is a good thing depends on what you're going for. However, as another commenter said this does discourage reading text, so you'll have to remedy that either way.

Cool game, love the music, very relaxing. I do agree with what others say though, and think you should lose thirst and hunger per action, to give more time to read text and stuff. Also It would be better if the inventory was a grid so you could access it easier.

Great job though!
