PALEO by RIPPorkins 2016-08-30T19:14:00

@omid: thanks!
@TeamKawaiiju: many cavemen died for your review, we salute you!
@tintreas: the mammoth has a low probability of appearing, but once it does, you better make sure you have your master spears ready!
@PeachTreeOath: we fixed the performance bug! turns out rendering a huge 100x100 grid when you can only see a couple of squares is slightly overkill...
@hermetic: yes, yes, yes! we ran out of time, but will definitely be adding some more info on each tile once you select it, and show different portraits for each of your minions
@Guennor: Thank you! We completely ran out of time for any kind of sound effects. it's on our post-LD list!
@DaleP: thanks! we are working on some new activity indicators
@steph88: will do, thanks!
@nille: we definitely wished we had a couple of hours extra to do some bug hunting. couple mammoth ones slipped into the release!
@pierrec / @geruhm: stealing your ideas! we were hoping to have time for a tutorial, but got stuck trying to fix a WebGL bug. thanks for the feedback!

PALEO by RIPPorkins 2016-08-30T20:51:00

@kingpirux you can hide it by pressing Day x / Tick x in the bottom right corner!

PALEO by RIPPorkins 2016-08-31T21:12:00

@VolcanicGiraffe: hope you were still able to enjoy it! We are working on a new version that takes care of the log issue and a lot of the other UI improvements we ran out of time for!

Where is the doc ? by SquirrelSoft 2016-09-01T04:17:00

Had the same issue as @adsilcott, took me some time to figure out what to do. I wrote down the punchcard because I couldn't remember! Truly a use of ancient technology!

No Mario's Sky by eigenbom 2016-09-01T05:02:00

Had to play this before the lawyers take it down :) Controls are slightly spongy, but the concept is so cool it didn't bother me. Definitely used the ship to jump over things. If there were ratings, I'm pretty you guys would have crushed it! Excellent entry!!

Of Asteroids and Emus by HellBlazer 2016-09-01T04:00:00

I feel like there wasn't really a bad choice. I was waiting for a rock falls from ceiling moment. Definitely a game you need to take your time for!

The Big Sweep by Bobsleigh 2016-09-01T05:57:00

Cool little game. Definitely reminiscent of the old DOS platformers, super unforgiving, but you kind of get better every time you play. The graphics reminded me of this old educational game we used to play back in the day, can't remember the name though. Great job!

Do robots dream of flying dog baskets? by A Little Red Panda 2016-09-01T04:50:00

I think I'm stuck. Created the pully, and then I couldn't do anything else and I started losing parts I already had. I love the graphics though!

Pre-ARC by Geruhn 2016-09-01T04:36:00

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but both screens (iPhone and Chrome on Mac) are just stuck on Pre-ARC.

The Lost Caveboy by omid 2016-08-30T03:16:00

The art is really cool! The weapons seemed slightly odd as in I just always used the last weapon I got to kill. Wish it was possible to dodge by jumping (or maybe I lack the skills). All in all a really well polished game for a jam!

cityglitch by ciaodavinci 2016-09-01T03:52:00

The mechanic is super simple, but the puzzles really make you think. This would be awesome as a mobile game! Only feedback would be to vary the audio for sliding a bit so it doesn't get to monotonous.

Punch Card Panic by Quicklyer 2016-09-01T05:44:00

I was always bad at these games. Can't get past the crowded hall. I've tried everything from sneaking around to jedi mind tricks. I'm sure I'm missing a simple verb. Could you add a help that gives you basic hints or the ability to examine/observe a room?

Well executed though. Definitely a throwback to the old days. Second punch card game I've played for this jam, and so far the best! Well done!

Ninurta: Granary Defense by kraiom 2016-08-30T03:27:00

Wow! I thought this game was impossible until I started to use the powers. Got to 83! Really cool concept and well executed! This could be a super fun mobile game!

Rampage of Technology by kokiriandco 2016-08-30T15:26:00

The web version runs out of memory :( I got stuck playing the windows version, couldn't get past the 2 tvs (radios?) that were stacked on to each other. The wall jump mechanic was cool, the swinging was a little hard, kept getting stuck or dropping, and wasn't able to really get a predictable jump out of it. Cool concept, and the intro was bomb!

Pyramid by metalhaze 2016-08-31T01:18:00

The most polished game I've played this jam. At first I was hopeless, until I got the multi-shot + atk speed bonus, and then I turned into the Rambo version of Indiana Jones. I wish it wouldn't send you all the way back to the beginning every time you died.

I honestly can't believe this is a jam game. From the graphics to the sound, it is so well done! The web version worked fine for me! A+!

Orgog's Prison by Fib 2016-08-30T03:37:00

IMPOSSIBLE! How are you supposed to get past level 2? Has anybody finished this game? I didn't mind the 4-way movement, but the hitboxes were a bit off, and I found myself stuck or not throwing axes, followed by an immediate impending doom. Maybe cap the enemies or make them a bit dumber...

WindPowered! by Guennor 2016-08-30T04:04:00

277! Played on desktop. Art, Sound & Gameplay were well done! I would make the puzzle directions appear more often as they were the most fun. Fun game to play though, though my wrists are hurting (but that's probably from the jam).

Endeavour by ErikU 2016-09-01T03:03:00

That was a cool game! Definitely wished It could have gone for longer (I actually went through the code to make sure I didn't miss anything!)

It would be cool if 'help' would give you a list of commands you can do, instead of just a hint.

Cryptoglyphics by Bogden 2016-08-30T04:12:00

I just had fun making glyphs. Do you do some kind of ocr on them to see if they make sense or do you just pick them by hand? Very cool!

Phreak36 by socks 2016-09-01T05:18:00

Great idea! After a bit of practice I got to 2600. I woke up my wife trying to get to 4khz, but never got it to be stable. One feature it definitely needs a way to get restart after you get the free call.

Video Telefaxer 570X by Hammers 2016-08-30T19:04:00

This is super clever! At first I was completely lost in the manuals, but after awhile you get the hang of it. You should turn this into a series of ancient technologies! VCR NEXT!

Video Telefaxer 570X by Hammers 2016-08-30T19:05:00

Also wondering if HP and such are seeing a weird traffic pattern emerging :)

Kungo by kingpirux 2016-08-30T18:50:00

I'm not 100% sure if I am following what I'm supposed to do. The beginning was pretty clear, but as soon as the hints were gone I didn't really know what to do.

The Collector by intXparts 2016-08-30T03:10:00

A+ for the best exit of all times (going straight back in to where you came from). I actually finished the game (post-LD version) and really enjoyed it. Simple mechanic, but fun puzzles. Some hitbox issues from time to time (got stuck in a door once), but nothing to serious! Awesome job!

Time Climb by Abrexas 2016-09-01T06:09:00

The game looks cool, but I'm having issues with the control! Are you supposed to not be able to jump and move at the same time? I got stuck at the point of the 3rd screenshot, just couldn't get there :(

Proxima by edgeofcode 2016-08-30T03:57:00

For some reason the game would glitch with the inventory showing no text and empty buttons. Atmosphere was great, and I actually felt like my heart rate was increasing when I was scrambling to get water!

Da Vinci's Last Wish by seththefirst 2016-09-01T04:28:00

Cool game! It initially crashed on load, but after a refresh it was pretty smooth. There were a couple of traps that I couldn't disarm with p. I like the gameplay but wish there a bit more to do (but maybe I didn't get far enough).

Goblin Defence! by Senor Salty 2016-08-30T02:52:00

I would make the projectiles limited, so you can't just spam. Turn it into a bit more of a skill game with a curved trajectory. Don't know why, but I find the song insanely catchy!!

Dinosty Warriors by PeachTreeOath 2016-08-30T14:56:00

So much fun playing this game! Not sure if I was invincible or just really good. The music and sound were perfect. You should make it pick a random building to destroy so every game is a new play!

Call of the Ancients by fenwick 2016-08-30T03:43:00

Hahaha, pretty funny. Now how do I get past the 3-headed dragon in level 5?

FireBrawl by bigpan 2016-09-01T04:32:00

Hahaha. Truly ancient technology! Simple, fun, well executed! Great job!

TBFTWOR_LD36 by joemid 2016-09-01T05:50:00

The graphics and the sound are very ominous! Doesn't play that well on a trackpad since the game kept thinking I was trying to zoom in. Also didn't really figure out what to do besides kill critters. Looked cool though!
