Fun game
I struggled with the punch card system at first, but once I figured that out I enjoyed it. Cool idea, well done!
Very enjoyable!
Neat idea and pretty cool implementation.
Thank you for sharing your source code. It is always interesting to take a look =)
@cushycode don't look in the deep area of our sources :p there is some choice that we aren't proud of ;)
btw the two dev (I am one of them :p) are currently in Education to work in the software domain, and I think it helps a lot to know (even if the use is unconscious) all the design patterns and some good ways of programming to rush the creation of a game in 3 days ;)
also if you know how works unity you can try to make a level of your own I'll be happy to answer your questions
Will take a look at your game when I have the time :/
Its a really nice game. It is pretty hard to be honest but the gameplay is really nice. I had trouble reminding the positions where i had to put these things in. So its a game for masterminds.
I also liked the paint graphics :)
Had the same issue as @adsilcott, took me some time to figure out what to do. I wrote down the punchcard because I couldn't remember! Truly a use of ancient technology!
Interesting little puzzle game, fairly challenging. I had to take screenshots of the books, there was no way I could remember those patterns :P Nicely done!
Pretty neat game, though the punch cards and blackboard diagrams were really difficult to understand at first; I'm still not sure why some rows are missing the number 4. I am also stuck on level 4, I can't figure out how to keep both doors open at the same time.
I don't like the current punch card system, for a few reasons:
-It's difficult to remember the correct ordering of the numbers. I could get paper and write it down, but why not have some option to display all of the documentations that you've already seen?
-I feel really bad if I make a mistake on entering the dots, because not only do I lose a card, but I also might have to start the level over. When it comes to puzzle games, I don't want to start the entire game over because I've already solved those puzzles. A suggestion here would be to have some small number of punch cards for each level, so you have to figure out how to do each level with the fewest number of cards or something. And if you run out, then you restart the level, not the entire game.
-In general, the punch cards are no more than complicated levers/buttons. It would be cool if there was some more unique mechanic with them, or else they might as well be buttons that you can't press until you get a key (documentation) to use it. However I might be completely missing something big here, so let me know if that's the case.
Out of the few levels I did see, I liked the design, especially the part where you have to trap one of the guards inside a room. Good work!
@RIPPorkins @Spaghetti and Meatball @qzqxq
*with chopper voice* aaaah baka don't say those thing on our game aaaah :p
sorry guys for the struggle about remembering the documentation ^^ but it's not a lack of time or skills in UI it's a features that we wanted... punch cards were very difficult to use and we wanted to simulate that with a "bad design" :p
Btw for the 4s missing in some documentation it's just missing 4 ^^ a mistake from us (largely because of our graphic artist who has to leave us before the end of the 3 days :/)
Also if I remember well there is a door missing on the level-4's blackboard it didn't help to find the solution :p
Interesting concept, a stealth puzzle/adventure game. First puzzle was a bit tough though.
I didn't pass the first puzzle...
But idea and game seems cool. Nice work and congratulations!
The game kind of throws you in without any explanation. The clues are there but it needs some kind of lead up.
Great concept! You did a nice work with level design. I like puzzle games and this one was very entertaining and fun.
