Great concept and mechanic! Those last few were really hard (but fair)!

Great concept and mechanic! Those last few were really hard (but fair)!
I played all the way through and I would have played more. :)
Very fun and cool!
Great game! I actually beat it twice, which is not something I can say for a lot of LD games. The fact that you can kill yourself with candy is hilarious :)
Love the artwork and concept! Great job!
I giggled when I first hit a sign and it stuck to my car. Fun and great low-poly graphics :)
Cool concept, really hard!
I love the art! I hope you continue to develop this, I want to know how the story unfolds!
Here we struggled to finish one game and you created four, I'm really impressed!
I love the concept! Although mildly confusing at first, this is one game I want to keep revisiting until I figure it out, so I can see what happens. :)
I enjoyed this. The way I was shooting with one character while dodging with the other made for a unique way of playing. Nice!
Unconventional, more like inconvenient! Great concept! Really well done :)
Very fun! I love the concept :)
I enjoyed playing this. Cool lighting effects and a good creepy mood. I think the only thing it needs is a reason for not holding down the light button, that would force you to take risks.
If only we could shoot cats at people to make them feel better in real life... actually that might work, haha! :)
Thanks for all the great feedback!! It's very encouraging and we're considering building this out into a fuller game. :)
@jmborden: Depending on the words that appear, it might take a few hits for the character to react. It's on my todo list to add a momentary reaction when any words hit, right now it just affects the character's overall mood. Also I noticed that when you die while jumping the animation can get stuck. I'll post a link to a fixed version when it's done!
Wow... I had a stupid grin on my face the whole time I was playing this. Like a twisted game of whack-a-mole where the moles are giant and terrifying... that was an awesome experience!!
Fun game, congrats :)
Very stylish! I love the way the opening menu is integrated into the game!
Puffing up and splatting them is so satisfying!
I love the graphics and audio, made me laugh out loud! :)
I finally beat it using the instructions on this page. I like the idea of blocking supply routes.
I love seeing the word I typed flying out of my character's mouth! There's so much potential for this idea, I really hope you continue to develop it!
Charming and colorful, I enjoyed this! It took me a while to work out the controls, but really fun once I did!
I like the way I can make the sun "set" behind the foreground, and the way the enemies become stars in the sky. Fun game! I think I'd like it if the orbiting weapon had a little more weight/moved a little slower.
Looks great, and probably a lot of fun with two players, I just gotta get someone to play it with me! :)
Good job! I like the idea of using a tower as a weapon. Clever concept and name.
I love the way the menu works, took me a minute to figure it out, but by that time I knew how to play! It's really hard... I tried arranging my planets in a circle around me but that only helped a little. Great job, I love the concept :)
An unconventional hero for an unconventional weapon. :) Great graphics and lots of fun!
Fun and simple game. Seems like the area of sight needs a little work. Basically you could not sneak around due the enemy's large range of sight(Specially in the first corridor) and you just had to run through them. There is a glitch where you cannot go over the bridge to the second corridor. I thought I had to go somewhere else and I could cross the bridge after going back.
I liked the game. I had the same problems as others with the meat, as it was usually out of reach. That part was very frustrating. We must have been on the same brain wavelength as you. We have a similar game but with the plant character in Super Mario. Check it out.
Fun and simple game. Little bit more variation in the map.
simple and fun click game.
Simple and fun game.
Can't go wrong a killer pretzel. Very funny. Felt like the shooting was delayed.
One of the best destruction games I played so far. Like the graphical art style. Had a hard time trying to aim and destroy the tanks though.
The hilarious monster and that music put a big goofy smile on my face the whole time I was playing this. Loved it!!
Excellent graphics, and a great concept! Nice progression of difficulty too.
Loved the gameplay. The chopping mechanic was very innovative. Liked the graphics as well.
It was pretty fun for the intent. Wish there was a little more though.
A really impressive and fun game! Great graphics and audio!
I've got two endings so far. Really enjoyed this, great graphics and story!
The game was fun. Music would have given it more of a creepy atmosphere.
fun and simple game.
At first I thought this was a really impossible tower defense game, but once I figured it out it was really fun, and i was sad to run out of levels. Very innovative, I'd love to see the concept expanded!
Nice, fun, and simple gameplay. Would be good for helping people learn how to type.
You can tell when a lot of time goes into tweaking and testing levels. The challenge level was just right. Really fun! I love the way the corpses stay and continue to react to the environment.
No kinect but the gameplay looks fun.
I loved the little bit I got. The controls were easy to pick up. Can't go wrong with monster destruction.
Funny game. I like how the kids cry after you pop all of their balloons. Good job.
I had to get used to the controls but afterward it was a really fun game. Loved the music. Great job.
Absolutely loved the game. Fun but very difficult. I love how the slime is weak like it is in most generic RPGs. I wasn't good at the game but it was fun none the less.
Great humorous setting and funny stats at game over. One of the best click games I have played.
Seems like a fun game but no one was in the game at the time. Cool art style.
Very funny game. Simple yet very fun. Could have used some music though.
The monster was cool. Pretty funny when he scares them off.
Simple and fun game.
Dropbox link shows 404 error
Fun simple game.
Pretty fun platformer. The walking animation on the librarian looked like she had a crazy leg. My suggestion would be is to animation both of her legs. I also fell out of the map on the right side on the second level.
This was one of best looking games that I've played so far. I love the visual style, with the flat-shaded polygons and saturated lighting. I also enjoyed the main character's sarcastic humor. Nice!!
Very impressive! The controls were smooth and responsive, and the artwork is great. It was exciting when I realized I was cursed!
It was really run to take control of the airship. Good job.
Art style was cool.
This is just phenomenal, exceptional work! I love the sasquatch hand writing and the way you grab things.
Fun and simple game.
What a neat concept! I like the way the music blends together, and making them dance.
Difficult but fun.
The art style is great. Nice job.
Fun game. The plane was difficult to control but I had a lot of fun blowing things up. I think the game fits the theme as you are the monster, terrorizing this town.
Love the stylized interface, and the way the story gets darker as it goes along.
Really great puzzle game. I had a blast playing it.
It was a fun little game. Loved smashing through the igloos.
Had a lot of fun. Very polished.
Fun Tower defense game. A little more explanation about how the build/character build affects the attack mode.
Good concept and great understanding of psychology and politics and how they coalesce. Graphics and music add to the grim and dark tone.
The first level really set the mood. It gives a perspective we don't see in the US.
Funny, simple and fun. It was so funny to kick down the trees and see their sad faces.
Very fun game. The puzzles were interesting and the enemies were challenging.
Very fun game. Graphic style and physics were great.
Very clever and creative! I love the way you have to type something out and then actually control the speech bubble! The text between levels is great too.
Fun gameplay with minimal graphics.
The caress my nose part had me dying. Fantastic job!
It crashes when I run the 32 bit version
Well polished game. I actually wanted to do a few playthroughs to get the highest score.
Fun and simple game.
Fun sneak game. Good use of the detection lighting.
The monster design was neat. The controls feel almost unresponsive. Sometimes it felt like the buttons didn't work at all.
Concept was unique and fun.
Fantastic visuals!
Fun to have past lives play while you play the next round.
Very fun game that is easy to pick up and play with friends.
Fun concept. I liked it.
Fun and simple game. Good job on your first try.
The animation of the Yeti is just the best thing ever!
Fun and humorous game.
This was hilarious! Best audio I've heard. love the ending! :)
It was a fun and funny game. Had a little trouble with understanding the aspect system as well.
The levels were fun and difficult. I think the difficulty came from the jumping because you have to learn you have to jump from the edge. Overall, I like the game. The music fit the game perfectly.
The game was very humorous. Loved it.
Funny and fun gameplay. One of the more fun games I have played so far.
It is a funny concept trying to kill people to run away from the monster. I had fun. Good job.
Funny game.
Liked the concept. The controls seemed hard because you end up just spinning in place most of the time. You have to stop spinning to actually move in a direction.
Interesting gameplay mechanics and fun. I had trouble understanding how I was turning into stone.
I liked the concept and the gameplay was fun and interesting.
Like the little cute monster kid. Fun and simple game. Can't wait to see it fleshed out.
Very fun game with minimal graphics. I spend more time on this game than most so far. My suggestion would be is to add a tutorial. When I figured it out, it became fun.
Cool customization.
Got stuck on the dicing the cheese.
The graphic style was nice.
Liking the concept and gameplay. It was fun to figure out the ways in which to scam the person.
I'm terrible at typing games, haha... but yours had a great feel and great graphics. Good job!
Very interesting concept. It was fun.
I really liked the art style. Felt like I was in a children's book. The sight line of the human seemed "unfair" at points. Felt almost impossible to hide.
Fun game. Had trouble hiding from the bats.
Loved the art style. Pretty fun platformer.
Fun and simple game. Liked the music.
Fun and simple adventure game. 3D/2D perspective was cool.
Fun simple game. You should be proud of yourself. Most people can't even make a game.
Really liked the concept and gameplay. My only complaint is you can basically stay in one spot to win. Maybe create a mechanic to encourage the player to move around to each sewer. Music was the best I heard so far.
Very fun and polished game. Audio was great too.
Fun stealth game. Wish there were more levels.
Fun destruction game. Better one I have played so far.
Fun and simple game. Like the tentacle movement.
Simple and fun destruction game. Seemed weird that I couldn't move along the road where the planes were not. Movement to the planes would have helped.
Fun and simple game. good job.
Fun and simple click game.
Had fun with the game. For some reason I couldn't move left. Like the shop mechanic.
The music captured the mood of the game well.
Fun and simple game. Love the monster design.
Fun destruction game. The monster felt a little too slippery.
Good story. I like the art style.
Fun and simple game.
Just beautiful and awesome art. One of the best art I have seen from the games I have played.
Simple and fun game. Didn't know what the lose conditions were. After a certain point, the lose condition I got on my first playthrough couldn't happen unless I basically just waited until he pooped himself too death. Overall funny and fun game.
Wow, I thought it was disturbing enough that it was telling me the names of my victims, but when it gave me details about their lives at the end, that was amazing. Even without that emotional element it would be a very well made game, but that puts it over the top. Very impressive.
What a fun game! I love the way the games progresses, either you get stronger and stronger or you get wiped out and have to rebuild. Reminds me of my days of playing Diablo 2 with a necromancer :)
Great art style
Love the evil clown. I just love the craziness. Fun and crazy game.
Fun eat up and get bigger game. The the Monster design was badass.
Love the revenge of the weak blob concept. Really fun game. I had a chuckle in the intro.
Really fun!
Wasn't able to play it because I didn't have the bit OS it needed.
Cute and fun game. Loved the monster!!!
The pathfinding was good. Has trouble understanding how to win on the map. It was a cool concept.
A remarkably polished game with some great concepts!
I was unable to play due to the losing event to start when I click on open.
Very fun with good graphics!
Very solid and polished stealth game. The best stealth game I have played so far. Difficult but fun. Good job.
Very funny and eccentric game. Wish there were more different kinds of slaves.
Simple and fun game. Great first ludum dare submission!!!
The art style is good. Its a learning experience and you will know now what you can developer in 48 hours.
Made me laugh!
Can't find the game. Need a link to the game.
Had fun. Had a little trouble finding what to click on, especially at the toilet.
Simple and so funny. Just love the intro.
Really liked the game. It was funny concept and fun puzzle gameplay.
What a great game! Awesome atmospheric artwork and cool use of music as an element of gameplay. I managed to get all the endings. Playing it kind of reminded me of the movie Groundhog Day :)
Fun tactical game. The battle animations need to be a little quicker. An added attacks for monsters or two monsters at the start of the game would allow for more interesting and tactical battles.
Very funny game. Made me chuckle.
I liked the concept. The attack is was so slow to point, I thought the game is supposed to played another way. I would be right next to an enemy and attack but it never died. Liked the music, fit the game perfectly.
The game was incredibly fun and funny. A destructive Kiwi is pure genius.
Fun game. The music was and controls were nice and smooth.
Very fun point and click game.
It was really funny. It was hard to read the text. I would go with something like that but more readable. But overall it was a fun game experience.
Got to play offline. I love the concept. Very funny and cool. The animations seem smooth and controls responsive. I had to reset though because I could not get out of the cereal swamp. Overall just a fun game and wish I could play it online.
Its a pretty grim game. The music creates the grim and sterile mood.
Loved the music. Very humorous concept. Like the gameplay making the receivers more difficult to get packages past them. Its very funny.
Fun and simple game. Music was great.
I'm getting a 404 on your Dropbox download link
Love the tentacle effects, and the game is so smooth and polished. Great stuff!
It was fun being Nessie. Could have been a little more gameplay added. Cousteau didn't bother me and I just stood in the a spot where the tourists could photograph me over and over.
Funny concept and original gameplay mechanics.
Its more of a weird kind of social experiment than a game. I was more confused than anything.
an amazingly polished game with an awesome concept!
There should really be a "WTF" category to vote for... lol!
It felt really good to finally beat one of the opponents. Great game all around!
Brilliant and challenging, the horn cracked me up!
Well that was amazing. Totally original, great looking, and fun. It even has a boss and an ending. Awesome!
I love that your kids helped you with this! A unique and fun take on the snake genre. A little tighter turning radius would have been nice. Great job!
At first I was annoyed that the second button was a mystery, then I realized it was the actual question mark key-- haha! Very nice game! I like the different goals.
A really fun game with nice graphics and audio. Good job!
It was frustrating until I noticed that part about the sweet spot, then it was a fun sniper game. Also the worms look pretty gross. good job!
It's a little cute and a little creepy. I like the ending.
I was looking forward to this since seeing a preview on twitter, and I was impressed when I saw it in motion-- this is one of my favorite types of games! I'd love to play more of this, and be able to pick up shields lol! Great art!!
Interesting game, love the topic! I really enjoyed the flat graphics and the overall clean design. It took several tries to understand the game mechanics but after this I really enjoyed playing. Some thoughts: -Random factors to increase replayability would be nice. Some more feedback about what effects are in play on level-by-level basis would make it easier to pick up the game as opposed to the trial and error approach I used in order to figure out how to increase my score from one playthrough to the next.
Overall, well done and very original!
I've played some games with cool color palettes but I think this one takes the cake. I love that clean look. It's like an elf's nightmare or something!
Beautiful game that makes me feel nostalgic. Great use of the theme too. A little easy, but otherwise excellent.
Top score for humor-- hilarious!
Very clever use of the theme, and very nicely made game. Crazy difficult, but hey, so are a lot of good games! I really enjoyed trying to master it given its difficulty.
Really nice game! Very original and satisfying to play.
A cool idea, and fun too, once I got the hang of it. It's pretty satisfying to chomp flies. I like the vivid colorful graphics and unique setting.
Very elegant game with nice polished graphics and sounds. I thought it was too easy at first, but then I hit some of the later levels.
Wonderful! I love the concept, the low-poly and monochromatic graphics, and it's fun and interesting to play two characters at once, especially mother and cub. Excellent!
Cool art style, and a fun little game.
I like games that actually make me care about a character. Very cool.
Amazing art and music! I enjoyed playing it too. With some work I could see this being a popular clicker/idle game.
This game has a polished and well thought out feel to it, and as a result it's really fun to play. Very nice!
I appreciate the solid controls, and it definitely fits the theme. Nice.
A great, original idea. Very well made!
Everything I do makes me go backwards.
I can't past level two.
The frog looks like an alligator.
10/10
One of my favorites! The only thing it's missing is the horrible lag when you hit the buttons on those things, ha! Really great!
That was really fun, it left me wanting to get bigger though!
Great graphics and audio. It's very satisfying to get kills and combos, which makes it fun.
I like the combination of 2D and 3D here, it works well. Good music too. I'd love to to see a post-jam version with the combat that you were planning!
I love the concept, it made me laugh! It also looks great and is fun to play.
Cool idea and great use of the theme! Fun too!
The double tap is a nice addition to this type of game. It's a good use of the themes too.
A cute and fun game with good use of the theme. I love the music!
Wow, perfect use of the themes, gorgeous graphics, and clever game play. Really great!
I really enjoyed solving this puzzle! The graphics and audio also worked great to create a mysterious tone.
Good use of the theme.
A really cool game mechanic that works well, along with very nice graphics. Great job!
Amazing graphics! My only complaint is that firing by boosting first is difficult, otherwise it's awesome!
What a brilliant concept! It made me think of reverse bubble bobble, hah. Best use of audio hands down!
It's funny the way you worked the theme into a mini game. The game itself is good. Kind of reminds me of the old ghouls and ghosts game, since you have to play over and over to memorize the enemy patterns.
Nice 8bit graphics. Once I worked out that I couldn't attack it got fun, then when I realized the spikes hurt the enemies it got more fun! Really challenging!
An incredibly polished game for 72 hours. I'm planning on coming back to beat this one!
A cute title and a good game. I like that it has lots of levels and a good challenge.
I skipped the instructions and ended up with a huge colony of litterlings anyway. I liked looking down on their little lives, although its funny that I'm both looking out for them and dropping trash on them. Cute game!
Great use of the theme!
Nice game! The generated levels work great and I like the aesthetics. The grow mechanic didn't really come into play much for me, but it was really fun and felt great to get a hole in one!
I like the hand drawn art. Nice game!
Hah I love the face texture! I think the narration text added a lot to it as well. Fun!
I thought it was going to be a snake game, but it's more interesting than that. Clever, and a good use of the theme!
Great concept and art! It was really fun discovering the different ages of the character and how even her abilities changed.
@Gins: It seems to be working right, you accelerate when you inflate near the ground.
@ Christina: We didn't notice that the WebGL version doesn't have shadows until too late, so we just added that to the post jam version!
Thanks!!
Thanks for the great constructive feedback HuvaaKoodia!
-We were kind of debating the cat under the tree: there's a specific size you can be that will get you under the tree and past the cat, but if you aren't aware of that it can seem impossible, and in some instances it is anyway, so I'm working on a fix for that for the next version.
-Also working on a fix for the chef on the hill. It's part of revamping the chef speed mechanic in general.
-If you hit escape it pauses and brings up a menu to return to the main menu, but yeah I like restart hotkeys in this kind of game, so that would be a good addition.
After the new year we're planning a new version with lots of other cool additions as well! Thanks to everyone for the encouragement!
Very nice game. A unique take on the two button theme. Graphics and sounds give it a great old 16bit feel. A way to work in a little more strategic use of the turn-back button would really cinch it.
A really interesting idea! I thought it would be boring at first but it got more fun and even a little strategic as it went on. Also great graphics!
Neat concept and great use of the theme!
Very interesting and original control setup, I did run into a few bugs along the way but I really enjoyed it overall. I know it would break with the 2 control theme, but I would like to see a future version of the game with a few more keys being used to implement additional controls or menus. Nice job!
Great little puzzle game!
This game has it all, characters that I care about, beautiful graphics and music, creative game mechanics. The best LD34 game I've played so far.
Very nice graphics, and a cool idea. Some reason to explore more after you get the flowers would be nice, but otherwise a good game!
A very professional feeling game! My only complaint was that hitting replay didn't let me replay the level. Very nice.
A really creative game with very amusing characters. Nice!
though I never found the best way, it made me think about alternative ways to approach the problems. There's the potential for some nice social commentary in a system like this.
Great game! The giant creature startled me at first! The door mechanic is great, and I love that it even has shops. Very cool!
I honestly spent way too much time playing that-- I really enjoyed it! +1 for all of the hitchhiker's guide references.
What a cool concept! The first time I played I won, so the next time I tried to lose on purpose so I could try to make a branching pattern, which was actually cooler.
I really enjoyed this! I would play more of it if you made a sequel. I noticed that if there's two supply tiles next to each other that you could refill your supplies all the way by going between them. Was this intentional? I thought it made it more fun actually, although it seemed like if we were getting supplies then it should be costing a small amount of gold. I hope you work on this more!
Being a giant sheep is pretty funny!
The octopi... have legs?? hah! It needs a way to respawn.
I was annoyed at first that I had to uses a gamepad, but I can see why you did it that way. I'm sure it would be fun with another player, although we might be fighting over the controller!
This is very well written! I'm impressed. It's also a nice take on the two button theme.
Cool game! I love the sonar mechanic.
The graphics, music and story all work so well together to create a dark tone! Top mood for sure.
Wow, I love this idea! I want to see this turned into a full game-- I'd play it! I think it could use a little more obvious signal that your spawns are being blocked, since that turned out to be important to the factory design but it took me a while to notice. Also a restart button. Otherwise this is awesome!
Amazing style. Both the visuals and audio work so well to create an experience that's both funny and disturbing. Nice!
As soon as I figured out the mechanic I was hooked, no pun intended. Really fun and clever, and great minimal style too!
Too much pop up-- just kidding! This was mesmerizing and really cool!
This is a really cool concept. You should make more levels!
Wow, what an ambitious game! I like the atmosphere and I felt compelled to complete the checklist. Played it for quite a while and enjoyed it!
Amazing graphics, and a fun game once I figured out the controls. You should do a post-jam version with more levels!
I love retro platformers and I enjoyed this one. The controls could be tweaked a little and when I died it took me a minute to figure out how to respawn, but cool game!
Great artwork. A cool idea that fits the theme well. It took me a while to work out the gameplay, but it was fun enough to play again once I got it. Good job!
Wow, really fun, really clever! The splitting mechanic is just great. Great job!
Amazing game! The color palette makes it very unique, and the controls really give the sense of driving an out of control bus through a city. I did get an error message when I crashed, but the rest was smooth. Nice!
Very funny and clever!
Fantastic game! I absolutely love the graphics, and the gameplay is an interesting idea. One of my favorites!
This could be a great tool for education.
Wow, this was really fun! I was a little frustrated with the controls at first, but once I got the hang of it I wanted to keep playing. I like that there were four tracks.
I love the graphics, and the sneak gameplay with transformations is fun!
It's like the old Sonic bonus levels! Which I loved! Also some cool ideas with absorbing and splitting. Very fun!
It says: "Out of memory. If you are the developer of this content, try allocating more memory to your WebGL build in the WebGL player settings"
Nice graphics.
A really cool and unique visual style!
Nice gameplay and a good style. Weirdly, I could only get the input to work in fullscreen...
Really well done!
Nice game. It's difficult, but it works well and it's fun.
I'm terrible at it, but it's still fun. A great idea and I love the artwork!
This is one challenging game! Took me a while to figure it out, and I'll probably never finish it, but it's super unique. Points for cleverness!
Brilliant! So glad you're making more levels!
Really nice! Good concept and use of the theme.
It was creepy at first, until I realized I was the scary one, then it was just fun running around scaring people. Great style!
A beautiful and clever game. I love the way the gameplay is introduced to the player by letting them figure it out one step at a time!
This game hurt my brain trying to play it, in a good way! I like it! No complaints
I might try the stand alone, because the webgl version is pretty choppy, even on by beefy computer. I think taking out some of those trees would probably fix the frame rate. Otherwise it was fun! the controls were very sensitive, better with a controller, but again that might be the web version. The game has a nice clean look and feels pretty polished. Some kind of message at the end of the race would have been nice. Also the rocket car sounds like a bathtub draining haha! Good job!
Really fun take on the snake genre! The color mechanic is brilliant
Great game. I like the graphics and the gameplay. The narration adds a lot to the experience, sort of portal-esque.
The humor and graphics for this one are tops! This is great for a first Unity game, congrats!
Very nice! Seems like a fairly complex game that works well. Fun too.
Great concept, well executed! It did crash on me but I'm not letting that effect my score.
@AceyT Thanks for the bug report, I appreciate that! I noticed the villager score bug too and I hope to fix that soon. Not sure about the other one but I'll check it out. Thanks!
Good graphics and music. It was fun to watch the creature changing.
Pretty dark. Interesting style and use of the theme.
Clever and fun game, trying to decipher those notes. I like that it gave me time to figure it out and it slowly became more natural.
Cool idea! I'd like to play this with a friend!
Good job with the graphics. I like the concept. I think I would have liked it more if the camera had followed the drone rather than me having to control it, but otherwise good.
I've played a couple of variations of this concept so far, but this was the trippiest and most satisfying to play. Very well polished, one of my favorites.
I never quite figured out the mechanics, but I love the graphics, theme, and humor!
Neat idea, challenging but fun. Great job!
That was a wild ride. You may have used stock assets, but what you did with them was quite awesome. I really enjoyed that!
A good start with some good concepts. I had a lot of confusion about what to do, and whether I was supposed to be doing some of the things I did. A button to restart the level would have been nice while I was figuring it out.
That was way cool! So polished, and so much fun!
Cool concept and really fun! I played all the way through. :)
Fun game, I enjoyed both levels.
Nice concept and graphics (especially the duck!), but I could only jump on the ground. Once I was on a platform I couldn't jump. I don't think that was intentional?
@Sir Magic Ah, I tried it again and this time it worked right. Updating my score, I loved the humor!
Gorgeous visuals! Very nice!
This is awesome. I'm not entirely sure it was working properly-- as the hunter I landed on the prey and nothing happened, but it was really cool when I realized that I was in a multiplayer game.
Great job with the theme and some creative game mechanics. I like the visual style too. Nice!
Clever game, almost rubic's cube like. I could see this being a mobile app.
I really enjoyed this! Some unique game mechanics (protecting a resource from your own dumb team). I also like the sheep transformation when you change them back. Farming was fun. Good job!
Interesting and very original to play from that perspective, although it makes it hard sometimes. Nice and satisfying "plinks" when you're doing well.
AWESOME bullet hell! Perfect difficulty level-- really fun!
Great graphical style, great use of the theme. Really nice, I just hate having to start over from the beginning.
Great artwork and fun gameplay. Also a cool twist using the theme. Very nice!
One of my favorite games so far. Lots of things to love about this, my only complaint is that the level after the top down level is broken. I just fall through the floor as soon as I spawn. Everything else is great!
I like the concept. The gameplay is very challenging.
A very original idea, and well implemented.
This is an awesome entry. The squashing mechanic is great, I love the way it has multiple uses. The controls are good, and the music really makes it.
Not much depth in terms of gameplay, but great humor and graphics! Good message too.
That's a really cool idea!
This is really fun. It reminds me of combat in classic rogue-likes, which I love. Great job!
Really fun. I especially liked that it kept my score, makes me want to beat it.
Cool idea and a fun game with nice graphic. I got to a point where enemies stopped spawning.
Cute and well-written. Nice!
Once I started to get the hang of it it was really fun! Reminds me a bit of Ikaruga.
Cool idea and a neat game! I like the graphics and the fact that you can zoom in.
A great puzzle game. I haven't played a puzzle like it. Fun.
Took me a long time to figure out what to do with the star map, and even once I did it I never quite found where I was.
It's a cool idea, great use of the theme, and I really like the graphics style!
I struggled with the punch card system at first, but once I figured that out I enjoyed it. Cool idea, well done!
I thought it was going to be a flappy bird clone from the looks of it, but this is more interesting. Fun game with good controls.
What an awesome idea! I played through it and loved seeing the classic sprites in a new way!
Beautiful style. Really wish there were more levels!
I loved the framing story and the pixel art! The controls were a bit odd, but I got used to them. Very nice game!
Score: 990 It was incredibly hard until I started realizing there were more things to possess than the turrets. A great first entry! Really fun and well made!
I'm get an out of memory error on the webGL version. I was getting that too on my game, what fixed it for me was to double the "WebGL Memory Size" in player settings, under WebGL Publishing Settings.
Anyway the art looked amazing-- I'll try the windows version later.
This is a very beautiful game! I was having some problems with it freezing, but otherwise I love the art and music!
The Mayan theme made for a great style, really enjoyed that. It was a fun take on a classic, with enough new ideas added to it to make it interesting. Cool last boss too!
A cool game with personality and a good sense of humor. It forced me to read carefully, and I enjoyed trying to work out what the customers wanted.
I can't get past the instruction screen either. Playing the WebGL build and it seems like some of the screen is cut off?
This game gave me nostalgic feelings. Great job!. I enjoyed it playing through it to the end. The controls were smooth, though the collisions could be a little more forgiving.
Some interesting and unique ideas here, and a cool way to represent the theme. I like the graphics too!
Good graphics and a cool idea. It became a lot more interesting when I realized you could control the big mirror on the other side!
Wonderful game. Clever and fun, and a great use of the theme. I had a lot of fun playing this, and there were a lot of great little touches that really made the whole thing click.
Very polished looking game! When I realized you can jump I thought It would make it too easy, then I realized jumping uses air. Nice touch there. I got a kick out of what happens when you run into walls. Good game!
The clicker was the more fun of the two, since you don't have any way of knowing how much of a time investment it wil require. Diabolical that I can't switch tabs while I wait for the timer!
I had some trouble with getting the WebGL build, the Windows build ran fine but I ran into the one bug where brad flops infinitely after being hit by the little brother. Still a great game, loved the graphics, mood, and the humor. Movement and jumping on the outside of the house was great, nice touch with the falling leaves too.
This is a great start, the lovely graphics make me want to play more :)
Awesome graphics, great concept and humor. If finished this would be a nice little polished game.
It's nice that different weapons are better against different enemies, but the keys for switching weapons are inconvenient. I got a sudden "The end" at one point.
Oh man, this is awesome-- I've never seen this mechanic anywhere before, and I can't get enough of it! I love the bonus challenge and the hidden letters. The only issue I had was hitting space keeps scrolling my browser page down, not a big deal though. I hope you make more of it, it's perfect!
Hey I've always enjoyed your games! This is definitely the funniest game I've played so far. The controls are great and the cat astronaut is rigged perfectly.
Gorgeous pixel art graphics. Agree with the other comments that a tutorial would be a great next step to take. Great work!
Found the needle in 7:28! Neat idea.
Love the artwork, great sense of mood. Dark, so, so dark - but good execution (bah dum dum tiss).
This game is insanely brilliant. The perspective shift at the beginning of the level is probably my favorite part, and really helps explain what's happening. I love the colorful artwork too!
Adorable and clever, and a lot of fun to play. Loved the achievements for extra replay value, and the story was heartwarming. Loved the hidden messages for extra story. Solid platforming, but those blocks at the end were *just* hard enough to almost stop me, but I'm glad I saw it through to see the cute ending. A lot of really great ideas and great work here.
Fun game. Great use of the pico-8 palette on those sprites!
This is the LD game that we keep talking about, it's the most memorable one so far. Love the style, humor, etc. Great job!
The switching views worked better than I thought it would, and created an interesting mechanic, but I think I actually enjoyed the classic mode better, it was more engaging. Very nice!
Very nice style and some good potential for a nice polished game. The little camera shakes and lerping give it a nice feel. As others have mentioned there are broken elements on later levels. I look forward to seeing what you do with this game with further development.
Great concept for this theme and impressive execution of the organic cell walls. I would have loved a little bit more to do, like maybe having to avoid bad food by using your "limbs" to separate them from the good food. Very nice!
I enjoyed this game, it's colorful and fun. I think maybe a little bit of time before each wave to set up your defenses would be more fun. Nice job!
I spent more time playing this than most other LD games, trying to come up with more efficient designs. I gave up on I think the 3rd wave. I feel like I'm missing a strategy, but I enjoyed playing it anyway. I would have liked it if your design stuck around in between tries. Good job!
I love the opening sequence-- those can be boring sometimes but this one was great. The game controls great and is a good challenge. I was worried when I lost all of my pets but relieved when they came back on the next level. It fits the theme well! Great work!
Man I love this aesthetic! And the controls and grappling were great! Is there anyway to respawn when you fall off the map? I kept having to refresh the page... Anyway awesome game!
I really had fun playing this one. The music created a fun atmosphere and the game is addictive. I thought the handling was perfect-- it's not a sports car after all! It feels like a lot of work must have gone into this game. Great job!
Quite a fun game. Unique and challenging. I do like the idea of giving the player more control over throwing it. Anyway, good job!
At first it felt like a losing battle, and I thought maybe that was the point, but eventually I figured out a strategy and accumulated a lot of money. Is there an end? Anyway, it's a great polished game with a really neat concept!
Fun game! Great use of physics, and I love the hand drawn style. I played the LD version without reading any instructions and it was clear enough that I still figured out what to do. Also just wanted to say that's a cool idea putting the LD and post-jam versions in the same build with an option-- haven't seen that before.
I love the setting, it makes a basic but solid game much more fun to play. Great graphics and humor!
I finally got around to playing this and it's just as good as it looks! What a great original concept, fantastic artwork and sound. I also really love the little touches like scene transitions and overall presentation-- very slick. It was also very fun, especially once I started to figure out a strategy. I could see this being a longer game, sort of a twist on the beat-em-up genre. Great work!!
Wow, great mechanics, great graphics. Thanks, that was a blast to play!
One of the best games I've played so far. Great graphics and addicting gameplay. Gotta get those DLC!
I had a smile the whole time I was playing this-- it is such a great abstraction of the whole online creative experience. You start off creating crap and only get better with experience. But no matter how good the quality of content you still have to deal with trolls, spam, and just general rudeness. By reducing that down to such a simple game it really makes a strong point. Great job!
Quite a fun game! It ran great for me in WebGL. I played several times, trying to get a better score. Great job!
The great controls made it fun to play. Addicting!
@derek-brouwer The more fireflies you collect the more they illuminate the spooky stuff around you. Thanks!
@mikomikisomi Thank you for pointing that out! I thought people just thought she should walk faster, but it is indeed just running slow for some people in the browser.
@kantora You're the best, thanks again!!
@tad @tutaratuta @dr-binary @cyberpunks and many others, I can't thank you enough for all of the kind comments and excellent feedback! We had a great time making this game. It has really made my week reading the comments and seeing the kinds of experiences that people have had with it. If we have time we want to do a post-jam version with some tweaks to address some of the issues and expand on things we didn't have time for. Thanks again LD peeps-- this is such a great community!
Personally I love the controls. There's something very satisfying about the physics. You just get better the more you play, to the point where I was gently steering and bouncing/flinging them into the goal after a while. Really cool game!
I accidentally played the updated version first, and was blown away by it. Then I realized I played the wrong version and tried the LD version. It's definitely not as polished but it's still very impressive! It seems that in the update version you were able to ditch the theme based "more cards are worse" idea, which is a good concept for a deck-builder game but it's also annoying if you can't get rid of those cards. And there's a lot more clarity about what to do. Still the graphics and ui are very polished for a jam game and it's a great concept. I enjoyed it and I wish you good luck with the post-jam version!
I really enjoyed the sense of exploration in this game. The graphics really help set the mood. I died right as I found the artifact, but it was fun!
This is honestly my favorite game of this jam. A lot of that is because of the excellent controls, probably the best lander controls I've ever experienced. Everything else just clicks too, the enemies and weapons, the explorations aspect and just the right amount of story. And mostly it's just plain fun! Congrats on a phenomenal game!
Veeery beautiful game! I love the art style and the overall focus on polish and simplicity. I feel like our games are similar in some ways, both telling a wordless story with an emphasis on atmosphere. I'm looking forward to seeing future games from you!
I loved the overall graphical style and the little details. The humor was the best. When the office expanded was a fun surprise. Fantastic game!
I love the artwork here, the 2d artwork is fantastic and I love the 3d cut-away house. Took me a bit to figure out how to scare the ghosts, but once I did it was fun to do. Great entry!
I like that it's a simple mechanic fits the story in the show nicely. Good job!
A great concept for the jam-- upgrading your enemies instead of you. Well made, although I had some times where my attacks would miss. Lots of fun and love the graphics!
Nice colorful graphics and a cute story that ties in with both the theme and your play mechanics. Very nice!
I really enjoyed this shmup! I was wondering how it fit with the theme... until I got to the end. That's actually a really neat mechanic!
This was a cool and unique experience to play, really enjoyed it. It had some great moments of humor and then some dark parts as you deal with the consequences. The presentation was great and had me playing it several times. Great job!
Hey I recognized that music! Haha, it fits perfectly. Anyway, amazing graphics and such a fun atmosphere... wait... bathysphere?
Great game! Clever mechanics. challenging and fun. Put some sound in this and put it online-- I'd play it :)
First of all thank you for your kind post about our game! I can honestly say that I love your game too! You had me right from the title screen-- I could have played a whole game based around that arm! The game itself is very fun, I love that you can reach across the tables with that long noodly arm, and just the idea of a creature drawing attention to itself because it's carrying around a ton of stolen items is hilarious! Great work and thanks again! :D
The blur mechanic is really fun. I like how different substances have different effects. Great job!
It's a very nice look and feel to the game, I think with some small tweaks it would be more fun to play. Like others have said I found it really hard to aim, partly because I couldn't see the bullets very well. I think it might be interesting if the ship were fixed to slightly below the center of the screen, and when you moved the mouse it moved the background instead. Anyway I still had fun with it, and I think it looks great!
Really cute and fun little platformer with a nice twist! Seeing the cats smile was very satisfying, although I don't know why they turned grey afterward. Great work!
Well this was really fun once I figured out how to dodge dragons. It was also fun to spawn a bunch of them and run between them trying to get them to crash into each other! Great controls!
How wonderfully creative! Great use of the theme!
Excellent game! I really enjoyed it, it had great controls and graphics, and the concept was perfect for this theme. Congrats on a great entry!
What a great drunk effect! Really fun game with good controls! One time I was able to go for a long time with everything totally blurry, even though I didn't know what I was doing-- hey just like really being drunk!
This is a really clever game! I think a lot about how to receive complements, and what you shouldn't do is just deflect all nice things, because it's a gift to the person paying the complement if you actually receive it. But of course if you just say yes, yes I'm great all the time, that's obnoxious. I think this game reflects that well with a great concept and presentation. Congrats-- "You did great!"
The tile screen alone would have earned you a good rating. Hilarious and fun game!
Man I love the atmosphere that the graphics and music create for this! I'd love to see more of the features you had planned, it's a great start. Oh and a restart button ;)
The idea of combining a platformer and tower defense is quite cool. The graphics are amazing! Very good!
Wow, neat gameplay with fun graphics! I really enjoyed it! I guess if I had to suggest anything, something to distinguish the robot that needs to reach the tree from the others would be nice, but overall great entry!
I've played programming games before, but never one that was real-time with a limited set of commands that you have to arrange. Very clever -- well done! It was quite challenging. The theme is very silly as well, which I appreciate.
Love the art and I get marble madness vibes from the background, which is great. Nice simple gameplay.
Such a well made entry -- love the graphics and concept! Took me a while to get the hang of it, but it clicked after a few tries. It felt satisfying to finally get over that rock...
An amazing amount of work went into this hilarious concept! Why did you make me feel things for a rock?
Really fantastic!
Kind of reminded me of Papers Please in some ways. Very nice.
You can play without a controller by using the number keys. It was quite fun once I figured that out.
I love the guy's dance moves! Great humor!
This is just fantastic fun! I love the stealing mechanic. The car physics are perfect and I love the presentation with the voices and ridiculous car shapes. Great work!
Really fun game! I'm impressed with it, great work!
This is really clever! A high score for innovation from me! Once I figured it out I had a lot of fun paying it. Great work!
I really like the concept here. I kept getting killed by asteroids at first because I couldn't see them, they could use more contrast. It's really challenging but fun, and I like the idea of playing as a sun protecting its planet. :)
Fantastic entry! The way you made the king really gross is excellent, especially the disgusting intestine meter.
Really fun! It's difficult but the controls felt nice and tight.
This is what everyone wishes they could do right now, just blast the virus. Fun game, congrats!
Really an excellent and fun game. Great work for a jam!
Nice game. I got really frustrated with it at first, but then I realized you don't have to go back to the creature to feed it.
Very clever idea here, I've never seen gameplay quite like this. Nice work!
Just love this style!
I love the intro with the determined mother bird and the dramatic music! Great graphics and fun game!
Incredible game. Not only is it a great concept but it's executed so well. I would buy a game like this.
Nice game! It was hard, but got a little easier when I noticed the shadows. I did get stuck on the edge once, but not a big deal. Clever use of the theme! :)
A very polished and enjoyable game. Looks like the difficulty has been mentioned and fixed post-jam. I played through several times and really enjoyed it!
wow, that was dark and gruesome, but the idea of playing both parts is brilliant! It gives you a weird sense of connection with both characters, even though they're enemies. Fascinating! Great job!
Oh man, this is a great game! I was a little confused at first, but I really got into it when I figured it out. Sneaking around the monsters is creepy and exciting. I even got confident enough after a while to start luring them around. I need to know if there's any pay off to collecting books? I got 22 and 4 so far.
I'd love to see more of this!
a beautiful and charming game, great job! The only thing missing is a finish line. This one gets high marks for mood.
This is excellent! Great idea-- I feel like there's a lot more you could do with that mechanic. You should make a sequel, I'd play it. :)
You got really meta with this theme, and I love it! Short and sweet, great entry!
I do think you've got the basis for a cool game here. Although auto-fire made it easier, I found myself wanting a fire button to time the mortar shots when I had that component. And it seems like 1 & 2 should control the left and right thrusters so I can steer after losing the rudder.
I enjoyed the game and I hope you continue to work on it. :)
@arron-fowler Yeah I think limited steering is a good idea, that's what I was expecting to happen.
Oh I played this game earlier but I forgot to review it. I think because I was planning on coming back to play it some more-- it's a fun game! Good idea and good execution. It can be especially frustrating when you have an attack card but you're facing the wrong way, hah! That's just part of the game though. Great job!
Really nice game! Splitting your attention is just challenging enough to be fun. The first time through I was avoiding the gems, felt pretty silly when I realized... Great job!
I really enjoyed this, great story! The idea of playing a game where you only control one chess piece is interesting, although in this one you don't actually control it. Since there's only a few options for one pawn during this game, it would be interesting to do a branching story where you can make any valid move. Anyway, just a thought. Great work!
This is the funniest and most charming game I've played so far. I love it! I think you used the clash of themes in the best possible way, through story as well as mechanics. Great job!
I love this concept, it's actually a fun idea for a roguelike! I loved the ending. Great job!
Great idea, and really fun execution!
