Nice interpretation of the theme!
Nice, solid little tower defense game, especially given the time it was made in. I had fun, good job :)
Thanks for letting us know SgtBursk - we have added downloadable versions for Windows and Mac on the itch.io page:
https://imperialunit.itch.io/roamin-hordes
I agree with the above, I thought we had covered every interpretation of the theme possible in our design discussion but this is something I didn't even remotely think of.
Very good use of the theme. The sound effects were cool.
Cool idea and a neat game! I like the graphics and the fact that you can zoom in.
Amazing work! The way the units split up to fight really sold it as a war sim. The enemy footsteps really made me feel like I was under pressure, in a good way. And special thanks for putting up the direct download ;)
I apreciate the work I can see behind the game. congrats!
Sound was cool. I like the war scenarios games. The tasks is accomplished well.
wery nice execution, combat felt really believable
goood game thx
Good game but a little too slow.
better then TW:Rome II, but yeah, all in all it a very fun game, I wish there were some more icons on the screen to show what kind of units I had and what kind was attacking them, so I could learn the rock-paper-scissors economy (if there is one), and grow as a general.
Whit that said I'm very impressed you were able to make this within the time limit.
This game is amazing. The graphics are very appealing and fit the feel of the game well, and it's a really nice twist on tower defense. I felt like I learned a lot in the very first round about how I set everything up so horribly wrong. Managed to make it 5 rounds before getting truly decimated - I could only watch with fascination and horror as the heavily armed masses swarmed my poor defenseless archers and my middle Pretorians made their last gallant stand.
Will absolutely be playing again. Great job!
I really liked the interpretation of the theme, and the SFX and BG music were spot on.
Interesting take on the theme! :D
Very impressive game, especially with the 72 hour deadline. Love your take on the theme.
Neat game! I like the idea, I just wish that all the soldiers were individual and would operate on their own. Still, solid!
I liked the idea a lot. It's very fun!
Cool TD. Good job.
I enjoyed this, but the first few rounds are a tad slow. I didn't really need to start moving or changing tactics until the 5th round. I ended up dead on the last round.
Very cool idea!
nice concept, but i didn't had to move a single troop from first till last round
Great interpretation of the theme! I loved it! Graphics are really nice too! I wish I had a way to know what's the difference between units, and at least move them from flanks in between waves. Anyways great entry!
the battle athmosphere was very intense, congratulations on achieving such a nice game within such short time! (The web version ran out of memory at some point, though)
Nice! :D That was great! :D enjoyed it :D
WebGL ran out of memory! Anywho, great concept, love it! Had a lot of fun.
@gurkenlabs, @aberdeenphoenix - glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the heads up with the memory issue.
nice game Idea, but it sometimes is realy hard to see enemy forces
Ohhh... very clever!
Loved how you used the theme.
With a little more polish you can release it to mobile.
Awesome entry!
Cool idea, and the graphics are great. However, I didn't get a lot out of the main mechanic. I pretty much just spread out my archers before I started and then let it run. There's a few things that I assume are bugs that make it a bit unbalanced. On the top, left and right the archers wiped out almost everything in one volley. On the bottom,, they never fired a shot. It crashed on the fifth round in both the WebGL version and the Mac OS version.
Despite all that, I quite enjoyed myself. The game has an appropriately epic feel.
