I liked this. Cute gfx and quite polished game.

I liked this. Cute gfx and quite polished game.
If you happen to spawn on one of those destructible walls and walk to some direction that only has more blocks until it hits a wall, the game closes.
Ahhh, nothing like drifting after a deserved victory in the arena. *picks up the cigar from the mouth*
Nailed it. Fast and funious. Reminded me the first time I played Hotline Miami because the unfair start haha.
I liked the game. The aesthetics are pretty yet so simple. Congrats dude, you made a fantastic job :)
I got stuck with the sword guy in the platform with the rope, jumped out of bounds with the hammer guy on the right side of the map and got stuck with the big guy between the movable rock and the tilted platform! lol
I guess I won...
Cool game!
wops, forgot the picture: http://i.imgur.com/L5vgvum.png
:D
Absolutly loved it.
As @nanimono stated, sometimes is difficult to know at first glance what is interactive and what not, specially platforms. But it didn't really matter because it was pretty immersive and I was eager to explore.
Thanks for this piece of art.
After I played this game, I dusted off my good old Game Boy. Oh man, she looked so beautiful. I went to the nearest store and bought some batteries. I opened the case gently and inserted the batteries carefully. I pick up my favorite game from the shelf. I blow on the cartridge just like back in the days. Then, I took a deep breath as I turned it on, praying for it to not malfunction. Then, that magic moment happened. That sound that takes you back to your childhood plays. A tear slides off my face and hits the screen as it proceeds to run the game.
Thanks for creating this masterpiece.
Everything looks very polished. Impressive work, guys.
Beautiful graphics!
Cool one.
Is that your real hamster? lmao
I like the game overall even if it's a little short. It looks amazing and it's quite polished. I'd like to know which engine/lang/tools you used to make this piece of art.
I love: - The art. Especially the 3D effect that the shadows give. - How big the ocean is, and how it makes you focus on the island. - Picking up things and carry them around. Specially the sound. - The dynamic shore animations. - How you have to figure the game out with only one mechanic. - You can run the game on the background and just listen to the sounds and relax.
I dislike: - It's pretty confusing at the end. By restarting the game after getting the nose without giving any hint that the game is over, I though that the game had some kind of continuation, like having to get the eyeballs (little rocks) and the mouth (logs) as well, or maybe building a little boat with the logs and go to the secret place the moai-thingy just revealed. Instead, I just felt dumb. - It takes too long to reveal the chest and little rocks. I feel that it doesn't take to much time before getting used to the mechanics of the game and figuring out that you have to get the key somehow, so it should take less time to reveal them imo. - You forgot to disable some debug controls, so it's possible to just kill the seagulls and not having to figure out how to get the key.
Man, how did you do this in 4 hours? Mine took ages to finish!
It took me a while to fully understand how to play the game, even with the tutorial, although it was fun once I understood. Consider having a way to watch the tutorial again, like a button in the menu. Funny concept. Who doesn't want to F some batteries? Love the 3D models and the music. I rekt those batteries and killed those babies, muahaha! Got 3rd on the score board :D
Hands down, the most solid ludum dare game I've played so far.
The turrets rotate way too slow to keep up with some of the cars, especially when they somehow cross the rails to the right side, and since they have to lock the objective first, they just stand there without shooting for a while. Also, there are some blindspots that bullets can't reach because they collide with the own train engine car.
Graphics looks pretty awesome. The idea of mixin TD/endless runner is pretty cool and the gameplay fits well with the theme. Audio its fine. Overall it's pretty good, but the things described in the first paragraph mess me up.
What a beauty! Loved it. I don't usually like these decision-based kind of games but really enjoyed this one. Took notes on my notebook and got the mutineer on the first try! Music is probably it's biggest strength, but everything else just fits perfectly aswell.
@ everyone, thanks for your feedback!
@mr-houdini @jolix It's playable!
@kabalatrance I'll look into that. I kinda lika how it plays right now, tho I'm sure it's just because I got used to them.
@wwwhizz That was the idea, to make it simple enough so I can make it on 3 days (actually took me almost the whole week) and do it with a new language/framework to push me to learn new things.
@bombjack Due to engine limitations, can't make it to work on phones. Maybe in the future? We'll see.
@peter-jonsson Yeah, I know, right? It's just that I have no idea how to make proper sounds and music. I added both, but still they feel like they don't belong to the game. :C
Great game guys, as always. I like how you can turn around the car immediately (I know that you probably planned for something more realistic and smooth, but it just made me laugh). I completed the game with 2 different endings. I don't know if there are more, but I love how you have to decide between such important things.
Me ha gustado mucho. Seguid asà ;).
