Incredible graphics, that water is technically impressive to me. How did you do it?
Really enjoyed the mood of the game--has a really comical feeling to it. Everything ties into it with the nice cartoonish art/animation. The simplicity makes it feel really elegant too! But, I'm not entirely sure what causes the tide to come and go(is it timed? or does that indicate I finished a "level"? )
This is amazing. The detail is unbelievable. The log leaves a little trail! Everything is so tiny yet so effectively interactive. I enjoy its mysteriousness. I hope more people see your game :)
Great mood and art :D I enjoyed the simplicity and learning-the-environment style, but I got stuck for a bit too long thinking I had to use the big stick and not the rocks... trying not to give it away but you should know what I mean.
Would love to see it in action but I have a Mac! Looks good though. Knap gedaan
I couldn't figure much of it out. Are the log, rock, and coconuts/kiwi/(?) supposed to do anything? I also could not get the key for the chest from the bird, but that's probably my lack of skill. Overall, the mood was very good, and I enjoyed your detailed work on the audio. Great work on the graphics as well. I love the effect of the tide rising and falling.
superb visuals. could use more steps or if the levels varied mechanically because i really wanted to keep enjoying the atmosphere. other than that this is a really strong entry.
The art is fantastic. I was having a lot of trouble how my actions were affecting gameplay, or what the core engagement was. I wasn't entirely sure anything I was doing was having any kind of effect. I think this would make a great unfolding game.
Great job! All of the graphics, audio, mood, and overall gameplay were fantastic. However, everything felt a bit slow, and sometimes even useless (for instance, the log). It was clear though, that the main focus was the island and everything on it, with the main "story" being a smaller feature, and you nailed it. Great job with this game, and I really enjoyed it!
Really struggled on understanding what to do after I understood the birds would pick up the food, outstanding mood and art, I'm pretty sure I was dumb enough to not figure it out, I also would like to point out that the gameplay was a little slower than necessary even for the mood it wanted to set. Beautiful but a little boring, I loved it anyway :grinning:
I can't figure out what to do. I keep seeing the statute fire a laser into the sky and then I lose. I'm obviously doing something wrong. Going to give it another 30 mins and move on. :D
Beautiful game, the tide animation and the character look very nice. The controls work well and the sound effects for the items fit very well. I also like the mood of the game. I am not sure if there is another ending, but my island got flooded and I died. Also all the birds seemed to be dead at the start of the game, not sure if that was intended. Overall a lovely game, good job!
This game is peaceful, but lack of instructions. Patience is needed to wait for the birds attract by the coconut and use stone to hit the key down. If the game is finished and looped as I return the nose to the stone figure, I think the content is not enough. But It's a good survival game if more levels are added.
I managed to get the treasure chest open by coaxing the bird with the key over to the chest using fruit, which doesn't make too much sense but I'll take it. From reading the comments, you can apparently hit the bird with a rock, but trying to grab the key from the bird or hitting the bird with a coconut doesn't work, even though they both would make sense within the rules of the game.
Other than that, I really liked the game. The art and physics and attention to small details was great.
Very nice art. But I don't understand what should I do =)
Really neat! I really liked the graphics and overall mood and atmosphere of the game. It was really peaceful.
A fantastic game as usual, rubna! The amount of screen space dedicated to the ocean makes the island look all the more cramped and tiny, which I really like. The wet sand effect is super cool, obviously. There were enough elements in the game that the solution wasn't immediately obvious, and the different components were fun to interact and play around with.
The ending was a little upsetting, but it was wonderfully done and gives the game some nice closure so I didn't really mind.
Great work overall!
Cute game! I like the trial & error puzzle exploration in this one :island: Although I'm not entirely sure if there's more to it other than the statue firing up that laser and flooding the island. I'm pretty sure I'm missing something!
It was so relaxing! I loved how the game doesn't tell you anything =)
Very awesome, I love the interactions between the character and the world. It feels very satisfying picking up and dragging things. The style is also very beautiful, I love the art.
I enjoyed it but for some reason it was running at a snail's pace for me. Really cool style and solid execution.
I loved the atmosphere, I really felt like I was on an island if I shut my eyes. I like the way the water level goes down for a short amount of time. Really well done, had to figure everything out myself (good!), but mainly I enjoyed finding a rock and spamming X near it.
Shaking palms is fun!! :D
The game is very nice. I really envoy the physic of the stone, coconut etc.. Look's like a very polish game. I didn't understand how to get the key on the second level. And I don't understand why the goal of the game is the big pink nose =P
Nice graphics, polish and overall a very nice atmosphere. The lack of instructions in this manner is a fine thing in itself, but I feel it kinda worked a bit against it in this occasion as it didn't give you much freedom in solving the puzzles your way. Or maybe I was just too stupid to understand what I was supposed to do, I just woke up after all :P
All in all, a very solid entry!
Great job, everything is so well programmed here- the interactions and water especially. Figured out how to get the key, but the game just starts all over again. Had fun, though! And oh, the intro was very well presented!
Atmosphere is really nice but I feel there needs to be a little more direction. Been trying things for 10 minutes and not getting anything "done".
I really liked the mood and the actual gameplay. One downside for me was that the tide is not really explained (is it random?). Another thing is that the game is really slow. The pacing just isn't right. The part where you just drift towards the island in the beginning takes far too long for my liking, it should at least be skippable - maybe it is just not my type of game.
I really loved the interaction and the animation squash and squeeze, thhe art in general and that it wanted me to figure stuff out my own.
Simple and effective. Congrats for your game!
Powerful little game! The simple gameplay and all the interacting bits made me feel quite insecure about my own dev skills, and that's good! The game is so simple in its execution but pays so much attention to detail, that it feels polished, complete, and very moody. A top 50 entry, no doubt!
Really nice game! Maybe it need some variety in the way to obtain the key in order to add some difficulty every time you beat a level. But the visuals and the gameplay are great!
Good work! ^^
PS: Fanastic intro!
Wow, awesome game ! Very polish, great entry !
Found the secret key to kill all the birds, and i love secrets !
Very nice game
THe game looks very nice. I love the graphics and the simplicity of the game. It was a bit confusing at first. It was fun in how challenging it was. It would be helpful if there was more explanation as to what the goal is.
Love the graphics.
Soo cool! I imagined myself on vacation :)
This is one of the best LD games I have ever tested, great esthetics and gameplay, want more.
Looks very pretty :-)
Really nice attention to detail (e.g. seagull shadows corresponding to their height or dropping fruits from palm tress by shaking them)! Minimalistic art approach works well with the concept too.
Digging how well the 2d and 3d art blends together, and every little interactive detail is so well polished. Your attention to consistency is superb. Awesome work!
I really liked the atmosphere of the game. The visuals and water physics were impressive. I think it is a good game, overally. But I wish there were more levels.
Very interesting! I liked the sounds a lot :)
Really technically impressive game for the timescale! Fits with the theme, graphics and audio are well done, and the mechanics are solidly done and enjoyable to use.
Good stuff! :D
Um jogo muito bonito e divertido!! Parabéns e sucesso!
Definitely great game! It's impressive that you fitted so much content in such a small island, and in only 3 days.
Awesome! Forgot about everything. He found himself on a hot island. 10 minutes I pulled the trunk and threw stones. But could not go further in the story.
This is a lovely game, it is succinct and has a great mood! Definitely one of the most polished games I have played so far! I love the style and animations! Great job!
Loved it and liked how you had to figure it out on your own. I especially like the graphics, it's pixelated but still 3D which gave me a Zelda: The Windwaker kind of feeling. Really impressive.
Would be sweet if you gave our game a try :) our first LD

The graphics are very simple but fit perfectly into the scenery. This was really a nice little puzzle game :) Only real problem for me was that on the second start of the game all of the birds fell into the water like they were dead and drifted (with the key) on the island. They didn't move for the rest of the game even after a new island was generated. Overall awesome game, great sounds, and the atmosphere is very nice
Really good mood which exploits perfectly the theme. I like sounds. Great entry ++
A great concept and we can see that you made with love!! Congratulations!!
Awesome game :) The idea is super and also the implementation is on point. I would love to see a post jam version.
Love the art style and the game is really creative too
Great game, really fun experience. Could not figure how exactly was i supposed to get the key though, eventually all the bird fell down and i picked the key, but i didn't understand why that happened. The mood was really unique and fun.
Great game!
Very well done. The graphics are very nice and the island compared to the ocean gives you really that "small world" feeling.
Looks and sounds great and really sets the mood. I only wished there was a bit more to do.
Really cool looking game, I'm very impressed with everything!
Amazing game! Everything in it is lovely. I've found the nose three times, but I feel like there is something more to it... maybe.
Great atmosphere. Like the calm and peaceful start. Congrats, very cool entry.
Love the vibes with this one!
Good spin on the theme, nice sound, nice graph maybe the gameplay could be better. And the scene is so zoom out form. It's cool for the big sea but it's not god for the playability, i think. But it's a very very good entry. I like the mood of the game.
Really enjoyed all the little touches. Great job. :)
You should make this a real game. Incredible atmosphere, esthetics and gameplay. And I can see how it is easy to add more mechanics.
I had two plays due to sad ending and my assumption was that it is possible to "win" somehow. Even took both big rocks to the Idol (like his eyes), but it didn't work
This is my playthrough: https://youtu.be/u28kHGHpqMw
Here is the next winner! Beautiful game, with a lot of potential. Which is good! Are the island procedurally generated?
Only thing that I miss is the fun of playing over longer time. Finished really quickly.
Very nice game, I love the visuals, and how you just try things to see if they works. The ending is a bit disturbing, I'm not sure if there is something else. Keep up the good works!
Nice and relaxing. Great work.!
Every interaction is really satisfying. And I like that it tell a really tiny story and the minimalist art style.
Great choice of camera distance, totally conveyed the small world feeling. Awesome aesthetics, even in the animations like shaking the tree. I thought it had a lot of further potential for puzzles, and am not sure if there was more to the island resetting, but I very much enjoyed what I got to play.
What a beautiful scene! Incredible visual effects and lovely animations that makes the game feels really alive! The sound is also very good. I love the bongo sound by dropping some of these fruits - very good choice Really impressive game!
Lovely art and effects, however I wish there was a little more to it than just getting the nose onto the statue.
Lovely graphics, interesting game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGAiipylkqo
I also included your game in an article of my favorites here: http://fireside.gamejolt.com/post/jam-favorites-ludum-dare-38-vepwgamy
I like the game overall even if it's a little short. It looks amazing and it's quite polished. I'd like to know which engine/lang/tools you used to make this piece of art.
I love: - The art. Especially the 3D effect that the shadows give. - How big the ocean is, and how it makes you focus on the island. - Picking up things and carry them around. Specially the sound. - The dynamic shore animations. - How you have to figure the game out with only one mechanic. - You can run the game on the background and just listen to the sounds and relax.
I dislike: - It's pretty confusing at the end. By restarting the game after getting the nose without giving any hint that the game is over, I though that the game had some kind of continuation, like having to get the eyeballs (little rocks) and the mouth (logs) as well, or maybe building a little boat with the logs and go to the secret place the moai-thingy just revealed. Instead, I just felt dumb. - It takes too long to reveal the chest and little rocks. I feel that it doesn't take to much time before getting used to the mechanics of the game and figuring out that you have to get the key somehow, so it should take less time to reveal them imo. - You forgot to disable some debug controls, so it's possible to just kill the seagulls and not having to figure out how to get the key.
