LD38 — A Small World

Pip Sweep by WeaverDeveloper 2017-05-01T10:54:18Z

One of the best 3D entries I've played yet! Amazing art, and very well-polished for a game made in such a short time! The end was a bit anti-climatic, haha, but I enjoyed playing it very much! It was so hard to get the key into the slot!

Bunosphere by torcado 2017-05-02T06:07:43Z

That's some cool programming, projecting a flat world in a 3D view like that! Got very confusing at times though, because you couldn't circle around the planet.

A World In Her Eye by OrbitalBlueprint 2017-05-01T14:24:10Z

Quite the world you've created there! Loved the space scene. Amazing music too, and multiple endings in a jam game to boot! Good job!

eiland by rubna 2017-05-01T11:20:44Z

Great job, everything is so well programmed here- the interactions and water especially. Figured out how to get the key, but the game just starts all over again. Had fun, though! And oh, the intro was very well presented!

LD39 — Running out of Power

Cat Herder - THE CATPOCALYPSE by Meanderthal 2017-08-07T05:46:23Z

That was a lovely little game! Gameplay was simple and intuitive, pretty fun. The warping around the level borders felt very disorienting to me, however, because of the camera jump delay - I'd be on a herd's tail and suddenly lose them due to the warp. I loved how you changed the pacing of the music according to the time remaining. The feedback sound for the cats going into the house was only slightly different from the usual cat sounds, I feel that it needs to be much more...different, for the feedback to register properly. Amazing job for a first game!

LD42 — Running out of space

DETRITUS by OccultOne 2018-08-19T10:03:53Z

This is one of the coolest looking games I've played this jam! Can't say the same about the controls though, since the mouse turning had no dampening system in place so the turning speed just kept increasing to insane levels as the mouse moved farther from the center, and it was really hard to control! Well, once I got used to that...I played for a long time. Killing those huge energy ball shooting cannons was so hard! I'm still not sure what the conditions are for warp to become available. Audio had some problems where 2 or more voices would sometimes overlap. And once I got game over, I couldn't restart at all because the cursor was stuck in the middle(maybe because I was in fullscreen mode?). A tad rough around the edges but I liked it!

3x3 a tale about friendship by oskarOlausson 2018-08-16T15:51:23Z

Really interesting block mechanics, quite different from usual matching games. And that music man, really sets the mood right, that was so good! My favorite sountrack so far this LD. Did you play the it yourself?

Nuclear Arms 6: Waste Wizard's Tricks by Logicon211 2018-08-19T07:42:25Z

This was such an awesome experience! Super fun. Great use of the theme, with all the the trash limiting your mobility. The story was a big bonus, it's amazing you managed to cram that in along with the main gameplay in just 3 days!

Easter Shabobble by King Kujito 2018-08-16T13:25:48Z

Cute and silly little game! Very nice work on the 3D stuff for a 48h compo! The pickup mechanic felt a bit pace-breaking, I'd have preferred auto-pickups for speedrunning, but it was pretty fun, nonetheless! I got stuck once on level 3, jumped with the red thing and fell on top of the fence.

Space Time by Rudra Nil Basu 2018-08-15T07:02:47Z

The jump was a bit insane, and with the high speed and acceleration the controls felt a bit too loose- it was hard to control, especially the parts where you get the very small blocks. Sometimes I just passed through the ground blocks instead of stopping and that was very game-breaking.

Space Scrap! by Alex Lutay 2018-08-14T07:58:39Z

This looks so amazing but...I have no idea how to play it proplerly. I really want to! But I get a single colonist and he just...dies over time even if I protect everything. I can't build anything apparenty because I have no metal...is scrapping the only way to get metal?

Can you give some detailed instructions on how to play on this page? I really want to play this and reach that planet before everyone on board dies ahahah.

Space Scrap! by Alex Lutay 2018-08-15T06:35:16Z

Thank you for adding the basic instructions! I was finally able to complete it. At first I didn't notice the engines switching off when the power gain was negative and after I spent it on a couple shields, ahaha. And sometimes I couldn't make shields at all even if I had enough power, but then I finally noticed the shield generator was off too. All in all, it was a hectic management game but in the end I reached the planet on my last legs with just 1 engine remaining, ahahah. Awesome use of the theme. And ofc, the graphics are the best selling point for me! Your pixel art and palette is absolutely beautiful! One of the best-looking games I've played this jam!

Crystalmancer by Crowno 2018-08-14T07:52:38Z

I really like the change palette feature! Love the retro feels with the graphics and sound too. Getting stuck because of your own crystals was a tad annoying, and the hammer didn't work on crystals that are super close to you. I felt that the the hammer could have used a bigger area of effect. I was hoping it'd work on the enemies as well but not being able to do so felt a bit counter-intuitive, and the swapping thing instead of just having 2 buttons made it a bit annoying - I couldn't collect hearts dropped by enemies quickly enough, before they disappeared.

Although the difficulty was high, remembering the positions of enemies after dying a lot of times helped, ahaha.

Space Corp by Human 2018-08-15T07:23:42Z

The pulling and releasing needed to be more clear, at first I was just clicking and releasing and wondering how the heck you're supposed to get more than 3 satellites in the same orbit, haha. It was fun playing it. The operation income was not visible, maybe it's just my screen res? It felt kind of strange to be launch a satellite in any direction and it just successfully got into orbit.

Stack 'Em Up by flyingrobot 2018-08-15T07:46:39Z

This was frustratingly fun! I couldn't seem to get past level 3 though, I didn't get the option even after putting all the boxes in the shed. Sometimes the physics just worked in weird ways and Q and E felt a bit unnecessary, I just treated the boxes staying in the same place even when you moved back(even with a tilt) as part of the game rules.

CAVEMAN by MaiMai 2018-08-19T07:51:38Z

Aaah, I don't think I can run this game properly in my browser, the CPU usage was shooting up way too high and it lagged too much. My machine is probably not powerful enough, sigh.

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-15T07:58:41Z

Awesome menu screen and music! The gameplay was also pretty fun, having to fit in all those shapes! I was a bit confused about upgrading at first, then I realized you had to click on the lab to do it, haha. Help? Nope. That was funny.

Get To The Airlock by Dan Davis 2018-08-15T08:19:18Z

Well, this was really nice. The atmosphere you created with the music was spot-on. It was really challenging, switching between high speed flying to save time and snail's pace crawling to get through tight spaces. I was able to complete the 4th level only after I decided to ignore most of the crystals, haha.

CRUMBLE by whycardboard 2018-08-16T05:42:32Z

This is a pretty good entry and I enjoyed it overall. The only gripe I have is that the RNG felt a bit too prominent- sometimes I would get trapped super early and sometimes the resources would just not appear even after a lot of turns. Maybe you could have a no-fail check for that in place to reduce leaving it up to randomness.

Uroboros Initiative by hierarch 2018-08-14T15:02:50Z

Really hard to understand what the bloop was happening at first. Gave it some time, and was finally able to make a hexagon(oof, that was so hard). And then, well I just spammed all bright white spaces with spacers and more spaces just kept opening up around so I was just spamming all spacers clustered together which inevitably formed tiny hexagons and kept opening up the tiles around them...on which I spammed more spacers and then reached the station 1 line at a time...frustratingly slowly. I'm not sure if this was one of the intended ways to complete the game or not. I also experienced the bug that Starven mentioned, had to restart because of that once after I made a ton of progress on my slow method T_T

spacess.png I wanted to take one more screenshot of what's behind the e-mail but unfortunately the game closed when I closed the e-mail ahahah. It's basically one huge concentrated blob of pink with no spaces in between.

Compactory by VivianMochi 2018-08-16T06:38:02Z

This scratched my puzzle game itch in just the right spot. Amazing work! Finally won after making a factory that looks non-functional but actually works..compactory.jpg

Really great work with the game design! Although I found myself not using the splitters, they get hard to predict and break most things if you've got a working belt.

BulletJam by C.Even 2018-08-18T09:25:54Z

Pretty nice use of the theme, and more so when the bodies and bullets can form structures blocking off the parts of the room altogether, instead of just collecting at the sides. I tried to escape enemies by making such walls but they passed right through them, ahahah! Great work on the graphics, btw!

PLS Grandma STAPH by Necromic 2018-08-16T14:47:19Z

I thought this game was so relatable until I saw the plot twist. What the bloop!

The Sand Will Bury Me by anacat 2018-08-16T14:16:33Z

Wow, the atmosphere and audio were absolutely incredible! I had a few gripes with the gameplay, because just random guessing and then remembering the positions of the walls AFTER failing doesn't make for a good puzzle mechanic. Failing returns you to the previous level, and I found this really unconventional, in a good way. Then I realized how it tied in with the backtracking, so that was really cool. Although with no system to keep track of the various paths...I'm really thankful that each wrong path got blocked off with 1 level only and had no further branching, otherwise it'd have been a nightmare to search for the correct path.

This is probably one of my favorite games this LD.

Cubi Cat ' s Start Menu by dinamite 2018-08-19T10:45:06Z

Wait, so how exactly do I enter the code? Is it type input or just press the buttons in some order...ok I have no idea lol.

Claustrophobia by deformhead 2018-08-19T10:34:51Z

Simple and nice. Last level was such a troll haha. It seems you've disabled the graphics rating? I really liked the simple color palette!

Petra by cassowary 2018-08-21T08:29:25Z

In the silent first level...that sudden level complete sound almost gave me a jumpscare, haha.

Excellent, excellent puzzles! I reached the last level but gave up after a few tries haha. It was really interesting how you communicated to the player throughout the later levels. Felt like a personal connection to the dev, y'know...? Awesome job.

Foggy raft by dimlight 2018-08-15T08:45:05Z

Great work! I always got caught by the monster trying to get it into my cannon's range, haha. The raft space idea was really creative and goes with the theme very nicely! And awesome work on the graphics, especially the Cthulhu style monster! The font not being a pixel one bugged me though.

Space Run by mitsu.artemius 2018-08-13T13:51:43Z

Health = View was a cool idea. Although the progression felt a bit too slow, but that's to be expected from a compo game, balance/pacing issues and all. It kept me playing just to see what mechanic would be unlocked next. I'm not sure if there was any merit to playing the later, more difficult levels for unlocks, since stars can be obtained by grinding on Mercury. Do you get higher exp per star in later levels? All in all good job for 48h!

Zero Grace Megadrive by triplefox 2018-08-13T11:00:37Z

I absolutely love how retro it feels! The difficulty is just right, I gave up after failing level 5 a couple of times haha. Kept me hooked for a long time. Awesome job!

Pick the lock! by Tiba 2018-08-14T14:29:47Z

I heard the dangerous looking ambient audio. Then I saw the guy's face I laughed so hard! I'm sorry if that was unintended but it was really funny! I feel like there should've been a bad feedback for pressing at the wrong time, I was just spamming spacebar and getting through all levels, but then...the walls stopped moving. And I was just getting through the levels without the walls moving.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Night's End by glimaleite 2018-12-05T13:52:39Z

Oh boy the game's so challenging! Aside from the issue with the flow-breaking cutscenes when your retry, really well done!

Sacrifices Must Be Made by danman9914 2018-12-09T09:23:57Z

That is insane for a compo game! Tried playing again to maybe try getting another ending but the game got stuck when I played the Stoat before the message to play it came up, lol.

But still, this was amazing!

dropboy by torcado 2018-12-09T10:14:21Z

Brilliant puzzles, had a fun time solving them!

TAMUTU by dietzribi 2018-12-10T04:01:29Z

Wow, great entry, you actually managed to squeeze a nice story in there. Gameplay was fun, awesome job with the tone-switching with the graphics and audio! Now just to see what happens if I wait...

TAMUTU by dietzribi 2018-12-10T05:49:43Z

...holy crap that was amazing! Innocent mode! XD

Well-Hidden Genie by AidanMarkham 2018-12-12T13:12:33Z

Good Lord, the puns... Absolutely stellar job with just about everything! I really had fun with the goofy controls.

FTD : Fixin' to Die by nuclearfriend 2018-12-05T13:20:13Z

Holy crap, what a game! Visceral, hectic and super fun to play! I genuinely tried saving everyone across 3 runs but failed xD

Absolutely amazing job on every stat! I believe you'll be in the top games of this LD!

Super Sellout by Moski 2018-12-05T06:07:44Z

Absolutely amazing job on the art! Moving up vs jumping was a little confusing at first. I think the jump could certainly have used used more feedback/differentiation from normal running, on top of the shadow separation and slight squish- maybe the squish had to be more pronounced. The layering of the character with the buildings was also graphically confusing- when you fall down, with buildings that are supposed to be in front the character always being behind. But then again, 3-day time frame, so it's acceptable.

But wow, aside from those(purely personal) issues, everything fits together so well! One more thing. Super good job on the overall presentation. The menu screens, even this page, and the itch.io page. The best I've seen so far.

Bird Butt Battle Royale by uvwar 2018-12-09T10:37:06Z

That was short but fun! The controls for the egg were on point.

The Sun Scene by Xarras 2018-12-08T14:50:30Z

Wow, that was an amazing experience. Lacked interactivity but still, that's so unique.

Ursa by Maksym 2018-12-05T10:32:45Z

I think the music stood out the most. Really beautiful. Gameplay was OK, maybe needed a bit more polishing with the controls, but hey, it's a jam so that's acceptable. The colors were used really well but the pixel sizes were all over the place, you should always go for a constant pixel size if you're going for pixel art.

Your God Demands... by daruudaruu 2018-12-09T10:52:57Z

Ahahah, this was so much fun! Gets real hectic real fast!

My Little Cultist - Sacrifice is Magic - Babby's First Eldritch Ritual edition by homeworld 2018-12-12T13:15:54Z

It's insane you managed to make this in 72 hours! Love the sketchy art.

STAR JUNK by christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2018-12-07T16:56:31Z

Wow, awesome pixel art! The core gameplay was fun and engaging. Not being able to shoot in the direction until you're fully turned made for good dogfights. Movement(and also the setting) reminded me a lot of Star Control 2, and I loved it. Once I had the basics figured I just rushed for the crystals and managed to finish it. Great jam entry.

hiJack by SecretPocketCat 2018-12-10T04:28:11Z

Sweet concept! Clean and nice graphics. My only complaint is that everything- the ships, asteroids, etc occupy a pretty large area on the screen, and after a while it becomes impossible to dodge anythning - perhaps smaller ships/lager play area would have helped, but I guess that's what adds to the challenge.

The Cave God by pranjalbisht 2018-12-04T01:11:39Z

@toboggan Ah yes, Sadly I didn't get time to put in enough hints, but there are two ways to win. One of them involves trying to sacrifice yourself.

The Cave God by pranjalbisht 2018-12-04T01:38:52Z

@toboggan and @doctormozart The game was indeed broken. One of the endings was not working due to a stupid error on my part. Thankfully there was still time left in the jam and I've fixed it! Plus put in a few more hints in the conversations. Thanks for playing! I'll check out your games too as soon as I finish getting some sleep.

The Cave God by pranjalbisht 2018-12-09T04:29:50Z

@stames Having different God altars with different mechanics sounds really interesting, never thought of that! They'd have different personalities and dialogue and all that, I think it'll be hilarious.

@finn-truman Yeah I think you're right, dying instantly when the light disappears does seem rather jarring.

The Cave God by pranjalbisht 2018-12-10T02:24:34Z

@rongo-matane I realized the dialogue can be annoying if you've already read it before, after each restart, so you can skip it instantly with Esc. But yeah, I should have been more careful about the intuitiveness of the light orb, it basically just prevents your light from decreasing when you're near it/ carrying it. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

The Cave God by pranjalbisht 2018-12-13T03:43:54Z

@drlaserbeast Yeah, that's what I think too. I had plans to implement some enemies that you could use/throw stuff on, but being an inexperienced solo dev...Well, I ran out of time. I will do better next time!

Collatero by TheFunAttic 2018-12-12T14:02:34Z

Wow, great cuphead vibes! Enjoyed it a lot! I sometimes found myself wishing for a way to make the spotlight go smaller faster, not having to wait, but then again, it's a memory game so don't know about that.

Clucked Up! by MrLeePerry 2018-12-09T09:32:51Z

Wow, super good! Soundtrack was the best XD

Alms Crown by toboggan 2018-12-04T07:26:38Z

Wow, amazing puzzle mechanic! Kept me busy for quite some time. I got stuck at level 6 for a while and later couldn't complete level 10 at all, haha. Some great level design there. The only issue I had was the camera angle, made it hard to differentiate between height and the ground dimension along the camera direction.

Sacrificio Inc. by Reality Blind 2018-12-05T09:18:31Z

Nice and clean art! Difficulty wasn't too high so I was able to complete all the levels, which is perfect for a jam game. I think since it's a puzzle game, the timer really doesn't go well with it. It felt like moving the blocks around lacked some feedback.

Flocked by Ice Maker 2018-12-07T13:10:44Z

Simple and effective. The mouse movement was what made it quite fun and challenging!

Electric Kaiju by dimlight 2018-12-05T07:56:25Z

Not working for me, I'm getting errors trying to extract the rar file. Is it just me?

Electric Kaiju by dimlight 2018-12-05T08:29:54Z

@nightvision65 I keep getting this error: "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"

Electric Kaiju by dimlight 2018-12-05T09:20:16Z

@nightvision65 Maybe it's the compression? I'd be really thankful if you could upload a .zip version of the file too.

Electric Kaiju by dimlight 2018-12-05T13:23:25Z

Thanks a lot!

Fire and Atlas by irock 2018-12-05T06:39:17Z

Ok, this entry is super polished! I'm sold on the memory game idea! Simple but great pixel art, great sound feedback. Great, solid grid movement too. Everything feels compact and solid. The use of theme is a bit questionable, though, but really, I enjoyed it so much.

I failed because I kept pressing z by mistake instead of x! But I'm going back to play and complete it!

King's Last Stand by Pukami 2018-12-04T09:16:17Z

It was fun to play, I reached wave 7 but didn't manage to beat it! I found myself wanting to zoom out more, just to see more of where the enemy swarms were during the brunt of the wave. It was very annoying to be running from a huge swarm and having another one come right from the front without any warning.

LD44 — Your life is currency

Hammed Robbery by YouBeStrong 2019-05-03T07:44:02Z

Well, that was a nice play. Stealth failed a bit when going south as you can't see what's ahead because of the camera position, but other than that everything else was excellent- the art, the humor, the sound and the little cutscenes! Awesome use of the theme too!

Oink Royale by Skoggy 2019-05-03T08:17:35Z

GODDAMN THIS GAME IS SO ADDICTIVE. Insane work for 48 hours, the movement, controls and VFX very extremely polished! Lots of 5 stars across the board, probably the most fun game yet that I've played this jam! Effing amazing work!

Mine Corp. by Hadik 2019-04-30T12:12:32Z

Wow, very polished entry for a jam! That got dark really fast though, you can never prevent the planet's demise, only prolong it. Top-notch graphics and systems. The only bad thing was that I was clicking so furiously, it'd be cool if I could just used the first attack by holding down the mouse button. But otherwise, it's very good, and thanks for the nice message/warning for our planet!

Inflate Me to the Moon by DDRKirbyISQ 2019-05-08T04:40:46Z

Okay, I have no idea what the f*#k I just played but...man, this was amazing on an emotional level, y'know. Insane job with the audio and overall art direction! Everything was just so filled with...feeling. I don't know what to say, I just feel so lost right after finishing it. Amazing job!

This is your life now by reuno 2019-05-03T05:38:18Z

Wow, that was so polished. Really nice aesthetic and mood, and the little fx when jumping. I found myself jumping to the tune of the beat while I moved, and ended up buying a few things I didn't need... Completed 2 playthroughs, but some things were really inevitable I suppose, like moving to the big city and losing your friends. Could have used more branching there, but then again it's just a jam game so that doesn't matter much. It's the little touches of polish that you've put in there that make a simple concept so great to play.

This is one of my favorite entries this LD.

Bakra Battle by pranjalbisht 2019-04-30T11:49:40Z

@dobbermann2 It's was supposed to be that you can buy/sell stat upgrades with your HP, making that a currency...but I guess it was a long shot haha. Thanks for playing!

Bakra Battle by pranjalbisht 2019-05-02T03:25:14Z

@jharler Yeah, sorry about that, we ran out of time to implement proper AI for a 1 player mode. Congrats to your left hand xD

SACRIFIGHTS by Lumpy 2019-05-03T04:43:39Z

Boy that was an amazing experience, so much content for 3 days! Amazing art, voices were on-spot, and the game felt so old skool. I was able to complete it on the first playthrough.

I didn't know what to do at the start and went to sleep right on the first day with full HP...before I figured out that I could go back to the sacrificial room and sacrifice the items I had, haha. I think this the best game I've played yet, this LD.

GunAntrophist by RadonRaph 2019-04-30T10:51:57Z

Hahaha, really funny idea, and the game is fun to play! Not being able to shoot up/down was annoying at first but I got used to it. Nice and simple. I retried 3 or 4 times but sometimes when collecting the money I got an error and the game broke...

Well still I kept restarting and playing because it was fun! Excellent music, goes perfectly with it!

Give and Take by purnatus 2019-04-30T11:23:27Z

Wow, I didn't expect to play this for so long! Lots of content, there's random modifiers on days, and some dialogues are hilarious. I got an all-dog day once. What the heck? Ahahaha daj.jpg

I was not really sure what the deaths were doing though, and what the government was up to.

Lifeless space by PabloTitan 2019-04-30T09:56:51Z

Very cool concept! I found the level progression a bit confusing, especially when all 4 types of bodies/switching are introduced at once. The movement mechanic was really fun, conserving fuel/life with short bursts for changing directions. The theme, I'm not sure where currency comes in. It's like a trade in lives, I suppose.

Cats Without Cars by B33Thr33 2019-05-03T08:00:13Z

Very fun! Only gripe I had was that the camera and movement controls are a bit unwieldy, holding the right mouse to turn it instead of just turning with the aim was a bit strange, especially because you could only accelerate in the direction you aimed. Other than that, excellent job in every area! I don't really like textwalls but this one was ridiculously funny. Good job!

Fools Fortune by Gear Steak 2019-05-03T05:21:58Z

Interesting experience. Lovely pixel art and nice mood, but the gameplay falls a bit short, I think. Maybe if the player had more choices, or if the decisions clearly explained what stat is needed to complete it. Sometimes when I died the text just skipped itself before I could read it. Pretty nice replay value, I think this concept can be extremely fun if properly executed upon!

Escape from Hell by Becher 2019-04-30T10:24:08Z

Well, that was a nice experience. Very nice art in the first area. The game gets a bit grindy as you simply have to die and collect souls...and there's not much penalty for death. But still, rather interesting.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Soundmarine by Dustyroom 2019-10-12T14:47:32Z

Man, I kept listening to the track even after the game ended. Too bad it faded away, so I just had to replay the whole thing! That was one amazing experience! One of the most beautiful games I've seen this LD.

World Collector by Joe Williamson 2019-10-12T14:59:25Z

One of the most innovative concepts I've come across this LD! I love your pixel art palette.

Unlock Everything by DDRKirbyISQ 2019-10-09T14:19:47Z

Ahhh, amazing Megaman tribute! That boss fight was hard as nails! To be continued?! Only complaint I have is that the theme felt a bit tacked on, especially the gimmicks in the menu, but overall, an awesome compo entry!

Armistice by frenchie 2019-10-09T08:24:12Z

I had trouble finishing the levels when most enemies just flew-off screen uncontrollably, but damn this was lot of fun! The camera movement(especially when you turn) felt trippy as heck, probably the thing I enjoyed the most xD Couldn't get past the level with 2 enemies because of the mentioned problem, but then again I'm probably doing something wrong. Will definitely come back to this to try again. Edit: Came back and finished it xD

MeebÜ WeebÜ by saucygames 2019-10-18T06:47:49Z

The music and art make for a very relaxing mood, but unfortunately, the gameplay doesn't. It was very hard to find certain items, since you couldn't move the camera up and down freely. The overall view was a really nice touch, if you stop moving and do nothing - but I think the important items(ESPECIALLY BUCKET) needed to visually stand out through use of bright colors/glows/any visual cue even when they're tiny on the top view. That would have made it much more straightforward to spot them in the zoomed out view. If I couldn't remember where I left an item it was really difficult to find it again. And the pond was...really hard to find. Because I never realized that small brown oval was actually a pond xD

Dispel The Nyxion by Alex Lutay 2019-10-10T03:33:12Z

Wow, I had a lot of trouble trying to win the first few games. The damned things just kept overrunning the map! Kept restarting, and slowly figured out the tactical use of the vision and explosion orb. I'm not sure what freeing(dispelling?) the Nixyon did exacly?

Anyways, this kept me playing for a long time. Awesome use of the theme. The mechanics were..intriguing and fun, alteast once you spend a bit of time to understand them. And as expected, the graphics are excellent, I've been a fan of your style of pixel art ever since...well not that long, about 2 LDs ago when I played Space Scrap.

Minimum amount of clicks I could win in was 63. Awesome entry.

VELOCE by torfi 2019-10-17T08:00:08Z

Wow, this was hard as nails. I couldn't get past 8, I'm not very good at it xD Very interesting use of the shaders!

Nothing to Say by celia14 2019-10-12T15:52:03Z

Well, that was pretty interesting! I liked the puzzle aspect of the gameplay the most, but I guess it's also a kind of memory game? Nice, clean and polished graphics. Some sound/music would've really improved the atmosphere but oh well, can't have it all in a 3 day jam!

A Merchant's Adventure by sharbelfs 2019-10-18T07:55:57Z

As most other people have said, the game really would benefit from having less RNG and more skill-based mechanics. Still, it manages to be interesting enough. Managed to reach the 4th city.

Edit: Played more and reached 7th...The game does keep you hooked hoping for better luck.

HEI$T by pataya 2019-10-12T14:22:04Z

Ah, whoever knew mindless clicking and robbing a bank could be so much fun! Really solid entry, I have it running on auto-heist in the background as I type this comment...

Nothing by JoelLikesPigs 2019-10-17T07:50:52Z

Ah, that was so nice and polished! Controls, movement and the camera felt really great and fluid! All the little details in the animations, oh man! Incredible work! Difficulty was a bit on the higher side but I kept trying, just to see what I unlock next(and get the damn right movement). Really wanted to go back after getting the right movement to see what things I skipped by lack of checkpoints in the area from where that's possible really discouraged me from doing that. So I just went to the exit :s

But still, this is the best platformer I've played this LD!

ØJE by Gaming Night 2019-10-18T04:18:00Z

Brilliant use of the theme. Art style, simple and awesome. Not a big fan of the loose/floaty controls, though. It was really hard to keep the character out of the red spikes near jumping and landing points. I'm...divided on whether ending the game whenever you want is a good thing. It's novel and all, but I think leading the player somehow from one thing to the next would have helped, some progressiveness to the whole thing. It's really annoying to fall all the way to the bottom from the top platforms and then grind it only to fall down again. That made me give up at the end and just go to the flag xD

Also..I'm not sure what the orange(yellow?) eye did aside from bringing more coins.

When Nothing Came by velvetlobster 2019-10-11T15:58:01Z

Okay, this was a really unique experience. Really beautiful. Even though I was confused about half the time about what to do, but finally did manage to reach the end by clicking on random words...

Still, at the end I had the feeling,y'know, that you get after finishing a very good book. That sense of loss after a profound experience. Thank you for making this.

Tale of the Toad King by Beebo Studios 2019-10-12T14:08:12Z

Oh man, loved the voice acting! And the music really fits, that vibe takes me back to those childhood fantasy tales...

One thing though, the controls felt VERY unresponsive- but that's probably because of the jumps happening in fixed time intervals and with a fixed distance on the grid. I had to quickly and repeatedly tap a direction to get the frog procession to turn reliably. But other than that, it was a really cool experience! I loved it!

Millions of Minions by Mattabulous 2019-10-12T14:39:37Z

Good lord those enemies gave me jump-scares! VERY interesting mechanic, the minions multiplying with enemy projectiles. They way they moved around when the player moves through them was...really satisfying for some reason xD

But man. Game is hard. I keep dying too easily!

バクラウBloodless by Danilo Freire 2019-10-11T15:41:16Z

Awesome points for presentation! Art and mood stand out a lot. Had some problems with hitboxes not working as seen visually sometimes, but overall it was really a cool experience!

Sneeter by bubblewandgames 2019-10-12T15:35:21Z

Okay, those sneet generations were absolutely hilarious! I have no clue how to tell whether people would like them or not, though! Loved it!

Nothing is my car ! by T-Bo 2019-10-18T03:56:35Z

That was fun! I was really confused why some parts, when collected hit me instead of getting collected. At first I thought parts were spawning in the same place as obstacles(which did happen at times) but then I went through the comments and realized that you can't collect the same part twice, hahaha.

Forlorn Fishing by Magnanix 2019-10-18T04:33:38Z

I was wondering if you can put some screenshots with the overview? Would help with the ratings.

Meager Genesis by Hajden 2019-10-18T10:55:15Z

Ah, the music builds up to such an amazing score towards the end. I sat there listening to it long after the game had ended.

LEGION by crunchykingcobra 2019-10-12T14:28:09Z

Wow, that felt like an amazingly complete experience. Hard as nails, but I could steamroll through with just the strength of numbers, although I guess I can't get a good score that way! Control felt super nice and responsive, and all the little details, red flashes and other graphical feedback were JUST right.

And really, collecting bodies that way felt just so strange and surreal. It was awesome!

LEGS by moechen 2019-10-12T15:19:36Z

Wow, that music was out of this world. Took a tad too long at the menu screen to start. Animations felt a bit wonky. The leg mechanic was interesting at best, but it's the mood that makes the game stand out. Such a trippy experience.

A Field of Flowers by KeithSwanger 2019-10-17T07:31:44Z

Wow, I honestly didn't expect to be playing it for as long as I did. Incredibly relaxing experience. The simple art and music come together really well.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Friday Night Funkin by Cameron Taylor 2020-10-08T12:05:28Z

PRETTY DOPE ASS GAME MAN Couldn't complete the second song, the diffculty ramps up suddenly! But awesome all around! Music and graphics are extra cool.

Fort Loop by deepnight 2020-10-08T12:37:33Z

Pretty amazing amount of content for a compo. I was wondering how you made it all alone, then saw the LEd stuff on your itch page. Pretty cool stuff!

Loopy Mansion by Sarah 2020-10-07T04:56:55Z

Where's the game :(

Gene Cycle by joh 2020-10-10T07:59:41Z

Pretty innovative take on the theme! I managed to get to 5 points after a bit of learning curve! I wish the circle moved a tad slower, and the max points being hard-capped by the number of moves that the circle gets is kinda off putting because you'll never get a score more than the max allowed. Despite this, it was a lot of messy fun!

Hyperloop by R3L0ad1 2020-10-06T06:38:34Z

Man, I absolutely loved the camera dynamics. It felt extremely cool to play and maneuver through the track. If I had to I'd say the biggest problem I had was that for a rythm game, I didn't feel the beats lining up with the blocking sections you have to cross. Still, probably the coolest feeling game I played this LD.

Stagnatum by Cosmic Adventure Squad 2020-10-08T13:20:53Z

Man, that was a beautiful experience! This needs to be played more so PLEASE go rate other games so this gets more visibility!

Time Loop by _Kassjak_ 2020-10-09T04:54:57Z

Fun little game! There were some strange things happening though, sometimes I would jump but end up on the same side if I got hit during the jump. Is that intentional?

Aboard by Chris Mulholland 2020-10-10T08:13:10Z

Wow, that was strangely surrealistic. I stopped after figuring out the best paths, on day 3, thinking, is this just going to repeat forever? But the comment section made me play it to the end, and wow. That's really cool. Probably the most...personal entry I've played this LD. Only negative point for me would be the fonts were a bit unclear.

Paper Planes by SamDemaine 2020-10-07T12:50:45Z

Super simple, super solid! Had a lot of fun playing it, my highscore was 14. The only gripe I had was with the enemy pathing, they are supposed to follow the path that YOU followed, but when you wrap across the screen they actually start going in the opposite direction instead of wrapping. I'm not sure if that was intentional but it takes away a lot of predictability from the enemy behavior and doesn't feel right. Really awesome concept overall.

Beat Bash by Overlook Studios 2020-10-13T08:52:00Z

Really well made game, had a lot of fun playing! I had the cutoff problem too, but going fullscreen on my browser fixed it.

Loopfield by MikoziQ 2020-10-07T07:42:40Z

Simple idea, solid execution, great all around. Boy those superfast asteroids! At times I would react to superfast powerups and just destroy them by reflex haha. That was fun!

Looper by Shortbread 2020-10-08T13:51:02Z

I love the art direction and overall presentation, and how well it goes along with the music! Great level of polish, the game idea is fun, but can get frustrating at times as you keep retrying, because the level start/waiting time after death is a bit high. I feel like the control scheme is a bit counter-intuitive, because you can't figure out the flow and predict the direction you'd move towards on switching in a quick and frantic game like this.

But aside from that, incredible work! One of the best entries I've played so far.

Aztec Ride by Idan Rooze 2020-10-07T08:11:05Z

GREAT stuff overall! Game shines in every category, except perhaps just a slight weakness in the use of theme. The gameplay is fun as heck. Boy how I hate that final tall ramp. Now if only passengers could...uh...breed on a roller coaster...XD

iLoop - the 2D endless runner game of a robot stuck in a loop :) by melvinng 2020-10-07T08:20:19Z

Sweet backgeound. Overall the pixels need to be more consistent in their size, but I can't rate the game in the graphics category at all? o_o Standard runner loop, I felt a lack of visual feedback when you get hit, just the sound doesn't feel like it's enough.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Dark Soil by Pietro Ferrantelli 2018-04-28T14:06:42Z

Okay, this was amazing! I'm surprised it has so few ratings, so far! Put out the word @Pietro Ferrantelli and @zguerrero , make some LD posts. This deserves to be played more! Has to potential to be one of the winners of the jam. Everything was just perfect. Super polished, no bugs(afaik), awesome graphics and music and more importantly, super fun gameplay. The perfect jam game(imo, atleast!).

Build The Road Jack by badpaul34 2018-04-25T10:21:29Z

Great amount of content in there, all that stuff made in just 3 days?! Amazing! I played the web version first, had no music and a lot of bugs - the next piece preview was not there for the first few tries, and I kept passing straight through those spiral separators on the track sections!

Seems like the downloadable build is much more robust and bug-free. The above issues were not encountered. I liked the music and how it changes when switching b/w building and racing. Controls could've been a bit tighter. The 3 fuel system was also pretty interesting but I usually kept losing track of it! I think the most interesting mechanic was trying to keep the track inside the cube. Great job, and good luck!

Match Strike by chainedlupine 2018-04-28T10:37:33Z

Oh man, I guess the game does require some patience to get get good! I'm not sure what the flaps did. Pressing G didn't seem to be working either, or atleast had no visual change. I played the web build, though. It's awesome that you managed to put in changeable controls, it helped a lot, especially because this is a flight sim.

Sometimes I wished I could go around faster for another firing run. Great job with the audio, btw.

Type2Flap by Cedric Fey 2018-04-26T12:13:07Z

Very interesting idea. I enjoyed it, nice job with the simple graphics.

Delve by riordan 2018-04-27T05:45:30Z

Wow, that was...hectic! Kept me on my toes, running all over the place trying not do die! Awesome artwork, feels very consolidated.

Some gripes I had with the game:

- You start off at the depth control, but since depth never goes below(above?!) 200m, I had no idea, for a long time what the first console did; because I tried to use it right at the start and nothing happened. That made the whole game confusing at the start because I didn't get anything after interacting with a console.(I was just running around getting high on coffee until i found the others XD) - The interactable stuff needs to stand out more(visually), otherwise it looks just like the other non-interactable things; unless you get close and get the prompt. Especially depth console, with that screen on it that's in multiple places. - It wasn't clear if a stat was at the max, and I had to remember all the max values or waste time, because I intuitively thought each would have a max value of 100. 100, 80, 80, 90 seemed very random.

There was perhaps a collision bug around the power system(slope not working as intended?) but that's not a problem since this is a jam game, and you could get around by jumping.

Even so, once I'd figured out where all the systems were and what they did I had a lot of fun playing it. The visual cues on those were done nicely. Good job, and good luck!

Roundabout: ~ Roguelike & Rythm ~ Trading Bard Game by Gustavo Manchae 2018-04-28T08:19:35Z

The solos were hilarious, I kept playing until I'd seen all of them. The keytar one, especially XD The concept of a band-based fighting system is very innovative, you get plus points for that! But once I'd seen most of the attacks(totally funny) I felt that the game loop got repetitive. Some more visual feedback would've helped, I believe, and no flow-breaking pauses between the card plays- so that it'd feel more like a continuous track. But still , awesome experience, made me laugh a lot.

Hadecken by La mecanique du plastique 2018-04-25T11:38:51Z

A little hard to get into, but this was an amazing experience. So fast paced, and you had to keep track of so many things! But after a while I genuinely started enjoying it. Awesome mechanics. And ofc, art and music were pretty good as well, and hilarious sfx! I double-KO'd with the AI...looking forward to playing this with my friends!

Shuffle Climber by miroky 2018-04-27T06:03:16Z

That was fun! Great music, by the way. The game was simple and easy to play and understand, but the RNG is unforgiving! I just kept using up all my attack/shield card and hoped for THAT ONE UP CARD I NEEDED, while the screen slowly went up..it was great!

Tetriform by magicdidac 2018-04-24T11:18:17Z

Pretty cool take on tetris. I kept getting stuck inside holes, but was able to build my way out sometimes, which was interesting. The top line often gets way too high to react and place the pieces properly. Simple and clean 1-bit graphics, I liked that. Music was pretty relaxing, but that was probably made to counter the fact that the game was so hectic? Dunno, haha. No bugs or breaks that I found so that's a plus, great work!

Ultimate Hero Simulator by antvelm 2018-04-27T10:47:41Z

Awesome game all around. I really loved the presentation, the comic strip and then the intro sequence with the music building up. It didn't feel like the pet sim was just a side mechanic because it actually helped in the gameplay! Very nice melding of the two genres.

KEYBOARD WARRIOR by croewens 2018-04-26T16:30:39Z

I think it would have been better to use arrow keys + 4/8 directional shooting instead of WASD + Mouse. It's kinda hard to press those buttons while moving with the same hand. The fact that you did this without a framework in such a short time is awesome!

Mojojo by ZakAmana 2018-04-24T17:40:59Z

Most fun game I've played yet! The little things and attention to detail like bouncing text, blurred BG, dust particles(?)! Extremely polished, amazing job! And ofc the characters and their animations take the cake! So simple yet so good! Awesome stuff.
