I dunno how well I would say this fits with the theme and I honestly don't care, favourite game I've played so far. I was laughing the entire time

I dunno how well I would say this fits with the theme and I honestly don't care, favourite game I've played so far. I was laughing the entire time
You nailed it with this one, I'm surprised I haven't seen more vampire themed games. My one complaint is that on a few occasions I walked into a screen right ontop of an enemy with no way to have avoided it
Really solid entry, would have been fun if there were more things to interact with or destroy like driving over trees, fences, maybe some things to explode etc. I hope you continue with this idea post jam
I really enjoyed this! If you kept going after the jam and added more items and different puzzle levels this could be great! Though the controls do need work as I felt like I was contorting my hand
This looks fantastic! I hope you continue to work on this after the jam. I did find a bug though, I moved to the first space in the dungeon area, drew an event "Can't swim" and then I couldn't do anything
@pilly so the cone of visions were too large compared to the levels themselves, the players movement was also too slow compared to the patrolling guards and when compared to say metal gear the guards don't patrol in workable fashions. Were they to move in squares or lines that they stopped and waited at the ends of all of my frustrations would have been alleviated
I spent a fair bit of time with this, found a few bugs, you could decrease most things into negatives including bullet size (stopping me from firing) and dodging (which left me unable to dodge)
I REALLY liked this, my only complaints were the toll keepers and (if I hadn't just grinded money on the first imp) the forced backtracking along a linear path. Honestly woulda given you an equal rating if the entire thing was just talking to M you nailed it with that art
This is the first entry that I've given 5 stars across the board too. You came up with a really good concept and this could be something really special if you flesh it out into a full length game post jam
This looks fantastic! We sort of had similar ideas though mines centred around decisions of your own life rather than other peoples. I did find 2 bugs though; You can gain more resources than there are visuals so I ended up with like 30 heart resource and when I started to lose it the visual didn't change until I was below the shown number. You could gain and lose a resource from the same person, I was seeing the up and down arrow for multiple sacrifices
I was able to break the reload/bullet count, by purchasing the increased bullets and maxing out reload speed (until I had 1 health) and then immediately reloading I was able to just never have to reload again
I thought it was interesting but a few things; I hadn't realised I could shoot but when I did I just stopped moving left and right and still made it through, as the dosage got smaller the player got smaller which made it easier for me to just stay still and keep shooting, maybe making the player larger so its harder to dodge would be better? That or possibly removing shooting and replacing it with speeding up to ram into the heart while dodging the antibodies
This looks really good. Biggest complaints are only being able to take one hit, with how fast and relentless the crabs are it was far too easy to die immediately without even seeing them coming
This seems like it could be really interesting but it felt like I was essentially dead ended into specific choices. I was only able to choose twice in the few rounds I did
I really hope you decide to bring this to a full game. This was really well done, hard to believe you made it in 3 days. I did however see a bug with your moving platforms, the player doesn't move with them; Seeing as you made this in unity the fix is really simple, just do a check for colliding with the moving platform then set the parent of the player to the platform, when you leave the collision set the parent to null
I'm amazed you made this in just 3 days, given a bit more polish I would think this was a fully released game! I did find a bug with the game not registering certain movements and not showing the potential movement directions. Other than that though I really hope you continue to work on this post jam
If you were to change this to a vs game or a team shooter this could be a fun splatoon-esque game
Had fun playing this, but I found a bug, if you rapidly click you break any of the puzzles. After doing so it usually replaces with a previously selected item and then doesn't allow you to click any of the others to change them
@dvlv I was consistently able to reproduce on chrome, windows 10
Not sure what happened but as soon as the game loaded the web tab crashed for me
This seemed really interesting, giving the player a bit more direction might be helpful as I sort of just fumbled around dying a lot
@siebenmik Agree to disagree then, a game shouldn't need multiple attempts to understand its mechanics. With that said I believe this could be really good with some more time, I hope that work continues after the jam
Honestly had a lot of fun with this but for the wrong reason, could be really fun if you focused on running over people
The art for this is great! With some more balancing and possible level changes this could really be something
I was unable to actually download this, every time I did I got a notification that the zip was corrupt
This felt like it was trying to emulate reigns but maybe dragging the picture to the left or right to select one of 2 possible captions (from a potential list) would work better to emulate it? I also felt like I wasn't being shown enough information to make a proper decision
The game wouldn't actually go past the start game button, clicked it and it just froze (the page itself didn't freeze)
@attala I'm not actually sure what you mean?
@strugglesingamedevelopment Can you expand on what you mean by connection to your actions?
@strugglesingamedevelopment ah yeah, that was something I want to address post jam. Some sort of indicator as to what stat will be checked against and what you lose when losing parts and skills
@borys @5you there are only four scenarios as of now (didn't have enough time to do more), I have a lot of plans for improvements
@rumsquawks can you expand on what you mean by direction?
@rumsquawks those are interesting suggestions, I had kicked around the idea of doing it as more of a single story (as you do draw 12 cards for a life which is an amount for a type of reading) but one of my colleagues whose now writing the scenarios said he preferred the randomness. I think you'll be interested in some of the changes I'm making though
@jjjjason not gunna lie that is the best comment I've received so far, I may well include that as a joke scenario
@simplepotential There are only 4 scenarios in the jam version, you unfortunately got very unlucky in drawing the same thing over and over, the full version will stop you from drawing the same scenario for a run. As for the stat check, the game operates under DnD 2nd and 1st edition rules so drawing a 4 for anything with stats of 3,3 and 4 would result in a loss.
The post jam version has an in game description explaining the draw under mechanic and indicators to show which stat is being checked implemented so hopefully this piqued your interest enough to wait for the full version which I'm hoping to release in 2-3 weeks.
If there's one thing for me to learn from all of the comments its that I should have put an indicator in the jam version haha
@pierre-cilluffo I did not have the time to finish the card art or audio, I've stated this in the description
I really liked this overall but the controls were a bit frustrating, it seemed like no matter what I always jumped to the left first even if I was pressing/holding right
This was really fun, I hope you continue to work on it after the jam!
