Very cool game, nice music and art !

Very cool game, nice music and art !
Really impressive 3D for a 72 hours game !
I really like the art (remind me a bit of wind waker in the smoke effect).
Nice game, maybe it would need better sound/music, and a one-player mode.
I like the choice to save your score or try to make more score this game offers :)
Really nice game, different from everything else. :)
Really nice, it takes a bit of time to get used to the controls and menu navigation, but the time challenge is stimulating :)
Nice game well polished and good idea, but the movement and the gameplay are too rigid, so it's more laborious than fun..
Nice graphics and music though
I like the idea of the concept, too bad you didn't had time to finish and polish the game
Nice game, but controls are hard to understand.
Even when you understand them, it's still hard to play ^^
I like the concept, but the level design is not the best.
I really like the music though
Nice endless runner, too bad for the sky bug.
Maybe a bit more variety in the ennemies and bonuses would be nice :)
Nice idea, too bad the game wasn't polished enough. With a bit more work it could be a nice game :)
Nice game, but a bit hard to understand. Also, the fact that the left/right key invert on gravity shift is surprising.
Cool concept :)
Nice idea, too bad it isn't finished. Maybe add some "moral" choices, or things like that ;)
Nice and good idea, but a bit short.
I like it, but the
I like it, but the audio was a bit harsh to the ears.
Really nice game !
The field view is so short, escaping is random, which is quite frustrating.
The art and audio are really nice, if you expended a bit the window it cool be really cool :)
Very nice graphics :)
Nice game, really like the music :)
A bit more polish and it could be a really cool game !
This is an interesting game X) You should add the directional key, so that azerty people can still play without changing the keyboard layout :p
Graphism are gorgeous, and the whole game is really neat. Too bad the gameplay is a bit too simple, but the rest is great :)
Strange and a bit boring "game"
The theme is fun, and the 3d modeling is very nice. However, the UI is not really good, and the piloting feels a bit weird (I also get stuck a lot against object).
I would also advice to add an option to play in ZQSD (wsad but for azerty keyboard), since it is quite annoying to change the layout for non english keyboard ;)
It's a nice first ludum dare game, and I hope you'll continue making game :)
The movement are so slow, it's hard to even tell the player is moving. That's too bad, because the graphics and music are cool, and the idea is fun, but the character is so slow it really frustrating
The theme of the game is nice, and the overall humor is good.
Too bad the audio volume is so low, maybe add some subtitles to compensate? Even with full volume speaker I could barely hear the sounds (I don't have headphones at home)
I like the idea, the surviving in a room that gets more and more dangerous is nice.
Some feedback when hitting monster would be nice (like flashing), and a bit more polish could make this a nice game :)
It is quite hard to understand what's going on, maybe add some help explaining the items? (or change the text on the bottom to dynamically explain what the hovered item does)
The game is a good idea, but the interface and the UI are really bad, it kind of destroy the whole thing :/
Really cool game ! Nice mechanics, beautiful art, and really fun !
It is just weird that the character looks the other side when switching gravity and firing at the same time ^^
Nice game, has a bit of shoot'em up gameplay :)
It's a bit hard to understand what to do in the beginning, but once you understand how it works, it's a nice game. It can be hard to throw in the blue portal in the bottom level though
Nice, it reminded of hoplite, an android game :)
It is very hard, couldn't get past the second level ^^
This game looks really cool ! I love the art and the "escape room" concept. Very well designed.
I couldn't get into the second part, even with the solution. Is there something I'm missing? (I have used the button thing, and the window is now like TV-snow, but I can't get past that moment, even with the txt solution)
The graphics are nice, but I couldn't get past the first level, and I got the impression it is quite random...
Really cool game :D the musics were really cool, the gameplay was fun (eat this shovel, ennemies !), the art was good, and the whole game is wonderful
That is weird, since I'm not even using this function in the end ^^ I've removed the defaults args, so now it should work :) (and just by curiosity, could you tell me your chrome and OS version ? )
Nice game, simple but fun. The audio could be better, but it is ok, and the pixel art is good-looking.
There is a bug, my score continues to grow even after death. I suppose the game continue after the death screen, and enemies keeps running into my character (and dying, thus increasing my score)
Nice game ! It's maybe a bit unbalanced, but it is quite fun :)
Nice game ! Really loved the art and the dark vibe ! Not sure if I actually finished the game, or just had a game over, but it was really cool !
The idea of the princess traping the knight is cool, and the gameplay is nice.
It could use a little more polish and difficulty though
A nice game, a bit simple but fun !
I really liked the art :)
Really fantastic game !
This game is awesome ! The art is gorgeous, the music is really cool, the gameplay is fun, everything is so nice ! It is really an amazing compo game !
Really nice story, hearthbreaking message, but not really a game either.
Really interesting entry
Really cool game and concept !
I really like the fact that the game automatically change the difficulty in the game, with the first tracks easy, and the third and fourth harder to combine.
The music is also really nice, especially if made in one day ^^
It would really be cool to have a full-fledged post-ludum dare version :D
Really cool game ! the gameplay is original and fun, the physics are really good, and overall this is a really nice game !
Maybe just the ending of levels (like having a minimum score for getting to the next level) would need a bit more work, but it is really just to find point to upgrade ^^
Really good work for a ludum dare !
Nice game ! The mechanics are cool, and would make a really cool game if there was a bit more polish (models for the bricks and player, and a music); Cool entry :)
Really nice metroidvania ! It's impressive you pulled of this for a ludum dare, the graphics are simple but really nice, and the music puts in the mood :) The only default is the theme, but it's really just to find one ^^ Great job !
Really nice polished game ! It could use a small background music, but for the rest it is really good :)
Really cool game ! The mecanics are really original and well used, and the web browser version works really well, which is nice :)
Well done !
I like the idea, it could really be a nice game if it was more polished and longer. The risk/reward idea is nice, but it is too short and need more gameplay idea. Else it is a nice game :)
Nice game, I was doing fine until I got stuck on the wall, blocked by the ball ^^
It only needs a bit more polish and a more fitting music, and it will be very good :)
Really liked the story and the message :)
The game, from a gameplay perspective was not the most interesting, but I guess that was not the goal ^^
Just a small tip for the game jams, make quickly clear that this is more than just a game of dropping a ball, because if I hadn't read the comment I would have miss the whole point of the game, which would have been sad ;)
If this game had more polish, it could be nice; The mecanics are interesting, but the whole game need more polish; for exemple, the font is blurry, the difficulty curve is kinda weird, and the gameplay is a bit simple.
But it is an achievement to have made a game for the compo, congrats for that :) (and I have tested the compo version, I don't know if the problems were corrected in the post-compo version)
A full tutorial would be nice, if not in the game in the description, because it is quite hard to understand how to play.
The game looks pretty solid and making a fully-fledged strategy game in a ludum dare is an achievement, congrats :)
Nice little game and concept; it could use a bit more polish, but else it is good :)
The mouse is weird, going by increments instead of a fluid mouvement, which kind of felt really weird.
The game looks really solid and cool, but the mouvement was too weird for me to test longer. Making a 3D shooter on a game jam is really good job though :)
Really nice game ! I liked the gameboy/atari style graphics, they added a little touch :)
The story was really cool and fits well the theme ^^
(also, a small bug, you can stand on the stair, going up and down every frame, making the screen alternate between the scenes, but nothing dangerous or annoying :p )
The gameplay is nice, but would love to have a bit more variation in the gameplay for each levels :)
nice game and platformer, the jumping felt a bit too "low gravity", but for the rest it is really nice :)
The game is nice, but need more polish and gameplay idea; after a while, it is not very stimulating and gets a bit boring. it could be really cool with a bit more work :)
Funny little game, but the movement were really hard to grasp ^^ In the end, I just used the good old technique of mashing the mouse button and hoping it works X)
Maybe raise the player speed, or allow it to run, because it is really slow, which is too bad
The graphics, while simple, were really well animated :)
The game is fun, but need more polish on the gameplay and the controls; it is a bit hard to grasp the gameplay without a tutorial. The game is cool and the principle very nice tough :)
This game looks really interesting, but it doesn't seem to work on my computer :/ I try to type the names on the screen, but nothing happens; I tried pressing enter or clicking the input, but it doesn't seem to do anything :s
Really cool game ! The art and especially the music were really incredible, they are really good for a jam game ! The only downside is that the game is very short and not hard, but the art and the humor completely make up for it :)
Nice game ! I really liked the take on solo-playing card game, and having to juggle between two currencies (favor and worshiper) is a cool idea ! The game needs a bit more of fine-tuning (at the end I had like 5 mass-mind bending card), and there is still a few bugs (the card for distributing meat actually reduce by 15 the suspicion, not by 5 like the card says, I got twice a card to summon a demon once I failed to summon him, and maybe a small tutorial or explanation would be nice), but it was really cool and nice to play; the atmosphere is also really well done, with the sounds of cultist and creepy music :)
I have no idea what I just played. I'm both amazed and stunned. Well done !
Really interesting entry !
The idea could be expended, with maybe a passing time and buying more item trying to correct the mistakes of previous items, and items that unlocks, to make it a bit more "game", but this is really interesting as it is ! (too bad I don't like coffee ^^ )
Having to control the camera with the mouse is a bit tedious : since it doesn't aim with it, it just feels like a way to deal with the problem of the camera being way to close, but in a clunky way... I would really recommend zooming out and leaving the whole control the camera with the mouse (or allowing to aim the shots with the mouse). For the rest, the art is good, and the gameplay, even if simple, is enjoyable :)
Be careful with "art style inspired by downwell", even if you re-draw the assets, you still don't have the rights to it ;) (check the compo rule to view what is re-creating assets). I liked the concept and the feel of the game, but please make a tutoriel level or at least an easy first level, because it is quite hard to grasp the concept when even the first level is so hard ! But for the rest, nice game and good job !
Maybe add a tutorial explaining the game system, because I still don't exactly understand if there is a bonus to attacking the ennemies ^^ I really liked the art style (but you should change the grass tile as said in another comment) For the rest the concept is great, and a post-jam version could be really nice :D
Nice game ! Got a bit repetitive, maybe add more events to keep the player engaged, and I sometimes had a bug where the button selected was not the one I hovered with my mouse, but other than that, it was a fun game :)
I felt like just going all-in and always putting all your cards was the best strategy, which makes the game a bit too easy and not the most strategic. Also having a way to know which card is selected (and to cancel this selection) would be nie. For the rest the art is nice, and with a few more mechanics (like spells or equipement), you could have a really cool card game :)
Nice game, really like the art :)
I like the concept of the game ! It was a bit hard for me to differentiate the elements, and the game could be a bit more profound with more strategy mechanics, but appart from that, it's a nice cool game for quick play :)
The game could use more polish, the hitboxes have problem, my character likes to spin when attacking, and a run button would really go a long way (mainly because when getting the peoples to the stairs, it takes forever). The ambiance is really nice, the pixel art really pushes the ambiance, and having to choice between sacrificing or saving the villagers is neat !
Really cool game ! The concept is very neat, the ambiance is really nice, and the execution is top notch !
It was a bit hard (but I'm not a native english speaker, which could make it harder for the expressions and combining words), but I went to get the story.json file, and with it it became easier and allowed me to check path that I did not even think of ^^ If you have time for a post-jam session, maybe you could add an help button, that can help the player by telling them if there is a path that they did not explore yet from this screen, and if they can get to it with their words ;)
Really cool game, very original for a game jam ! Good job !
Nice game ! Really liked the audio, and the sounds effects ^^
Really cool game ! A bit too hard at the start, but the tutorial at the beginning makes it less frustrating, and you quickly understand how to play a bit better than just running in ^^ The pixel art is top notch, and the controls are quick and responsive. I just wish that the game was longer, maybe for a post-jam entry you could add more levels or randomly generated levels? :)
I liked the gameplay, spamming the mouse button to punch is fun ^^ On the store menu, the blend of pixel art and drawing is a bit weird, and the game needs a bit of difficulty check (punching in hard while blocking on the side is really making the battles too easy), but other than that it is a cool game :)
I really liked the music ! The combat system is nice, it could use a bit more depth/complexity, and sometimes the camera mouvement disoriented me a bit, but apart from that I liked the game :) Also beware, the textures on the background have sometimes a cut, so maybe check if the texture loop finishes and start smoothly one with another. Also when I died and lost, the game let me continue my adventure, allowing me to finish the game, when I was supposed to be dead... I'm such a powerful necromancer, I made myself raise from the dead ^^
Couldn't use the keyboard, had to use the mouse, and the jumping when releasing the mouse gives a weird sluggish feeling. The art is really good, I really like the pixel art, and the music is nice too ! I think with a few correction (keyboard input and mouse lag mainly), this could be a really nice game ;)
I really liked the music :) The controls really need an adjustment, having to press each time the arrow is a bit tiring, and I felt like the AI were random, which made any strategic choice to avoid them useless, which was a bit frustrating. (and also the last level with white tiles was... surprising ^^ ) Other than that the game is nice, with cool music and cute graphics :)
This is really nice for a firs ludm dare game :) There is room for improvement, such as graphical, showing the score, making a better UI or things like that, but the game is already playable, is nice and is good for a first compo ;) Good job !
Nice game ! I think you could make a post-jam version with more ennemies that increase in difficulty, and why not a deck builder; I think the game as potential, it is already fun in this version ;)
I feel like the music is a bit out of place, I felt more like I was in a church than playing a plateformer ^^ The idea and the game is nice, but i feel like you could go more in-depth with it, right now it is a (good) plateformer where you can double jump once when you got an item; maybe try adding other coins with different power, or other obstacles/elements (like a coin magnet, piggybank for storing coins for later use, etc.) and you could have a really cool game :)
I really liked the art of the demon ! Really cool design ! Not my favourite kind of game, but I had fun with this one, and the option to have self voicing is nice, I didn't use it but it is nice to have these kind of accessibility options ;) The ambiance is also really nice, put you really fast in the mood !
The game was so much funnier once I decided to not give a f*ck anymore about the people and tried to kill the most of those annoying people ^^ I feel like the game wants you to do that, but doesn't tells it to you directly :p
The scenario and narrative are really nice :) I'm not a fan of this art style, but I guess it's subjective, and the combat system could really use some improvement (next, maybe try making it too easy if you don't have the time to balance it, especially if you make a narrative game ;) ) Other than that, it is a nice game, and making it in a new engine is impressive :)
Nice game ! The pixel art is really gorgeous, and the game have a really nice "feel" to it ! It is a bit too hard for me, but even though I had fun playing it, and viewing all the beautiful selfies with the different faces is really cool :D
I really liked the sound of the lifes, that are happy to be picked up, just before bringing them to their doom and transforming them into coins :D The art style is really nice, and the music is cool, but the game could use a bit more level design : a lot of time I didn't see where I was jumping, if it was a death pit or just a lower plateform. And a few other new element could be nice, because it is a nice plateformer, but it is missing something to make it unique among all others plateformer. And since it is beautiful and well polished, this is a bit too bad, because this could be a really cool and beautiful game :)
So, the game is really nice, the art is really good, the music is cool, the concept is funny and the execution is really well-made, but I felt the game was way too slow, and in general, not very fun; During the most part of the game it was just waiting for something to happen, either waiting for a car to come, for the money to be collected, or for the police officer to pass. I think with a bit more element to interact, and new elements to keep the player active at all time, this would be a really cool game :)
Nice art ! The game could use a bit more challenge/interesting events, because right now it needs a way to keep the player engaged. Also, maybe add some text scaling, because right now on a 4k monitor the text is almost unreadable ^^ If you add a few design element, like a way to fight back the ennemies or another goal other than just surviving/running away, you could have a great game :)
Really cool atmosphere !
I could not find more diary after a few one (the last one I found is the one where she wants to go in the other direction next), I tried looking for the one near the place with no success, then I tried going the other direction, still no success. Nevertheless, the mood is really cool, a bit creepy while not being too dark, even if the darkness does not hurt you ^^ (I tried walking out without light, expecting a game over, but nope).
Really cool entry, I really liked the mood, the graphics and the audio ! (if I could just have a map or an indication of where is the next diary, that would be awesome :D )
@tea good to know ! But don't worry, even without the diary the game is really cool ;)
I was wondering if the game is vr-compatible? I don't have a VR headset but some of my friends do, and I think it would be a really cool immersive experience in vr :) (and my friends are always looking for interesting vr-experience ^^ )
The game has interesting mechanics ! I like the fact that servers have asymmetrical radius, it gives interesting puzzle. It could be nice to have a post-jam version, with more levels and maybe making it impossible to move a server if the move would result in death (I spend too much time re-doing the level because I didn't realise one server would be alone, resulting into a bit of frustration)
Wow, that was an incredible game ! At first I was not sure if that was based or not on another game because of the polish that is rare to see in a compo game ^^ The story is really cool (even if the end was a bit lackluster in my opinion), it got some doki doki or undertale vibes ^^ Really cool game, and even more impressive as a compo game :)
Really cool game !
Nice puzzle, kept me thinking a good time ^^
@polypickle @spacialseasoning : the bug should be corrected now (and if not, on brave you can remove the shields to play the game, brave is also my main browser but on itch.io I lowered the shields so I didn't realize the game didn't work with them)
@furfel if you want to add your voice, you can download the project on itch.io, and override the sound tracks in sounds/danger, they are the lines of the NPC ;) (you can also override the dying folder, those are the sound the monsters make while dying, and kills are the double/triple/etc kills). To start the game then, just open the index.html file :)
@mrschlag2 merci fieu, c'té pas simple a faire :p
@francescopanini thank you ! The technologies were dirty old javascript with a basic canvas ^^ This is my go-to language for game jam, it's a bit dirty code but I know it well and can quickly make prototypes with it :) (and for the recording and drawings, audacity/gimp/synthfont, I really wanted to test my new shinny microphone :D )
There is an end, after two level (the first one of 60 seconds and the second of 90 seconds), and don't worry about killing the prince, everything will be clear once you get to the end :p
@fabula-rasa : Thank you !
I did not know this video, it is really funny ^^ I will now have to watch all the serie :D
I don't know if it's a bug with the web version, but I can't click on the button, when trying to click on play it opens the credits :/
The windows version works well (even if it is a tiny window on a high-resolution screen) :)
@random-storykeeper I use brave (with shields/adblock deactivated, so most of the time it behaves like chrome)
The game reminded me a bit of lemmings, but with different controls ^^ The mechanics could lead to some interesting puzzle, with multiple bubby, multiple switch or lots of boxes, too bad you didn't had time to create more: it could be cool to have a post-jam version to see what you can do with the cute bubby :)
We can really feel you put your emotions when making this game. Really beautiful.
Two small notes, not really important, but so you know for the next ludum dare : the writings are really small on high-res screen, which makes it hard to read, and since you did not compose the music you should opt-out of the audio category
The art is really cute ! The game is simple but it works well, and is fun to play :) The only problem i had is that aiming with the mouse but firing in 8 direction is counter-intuitive, but after a time you get used to that. Also, if you don't use the key "q" and "z", you can assign them to left and up, so that azerty keyboards don't have to change layout to play ;)
The game seems to be interesting, but it was hard to understand how to play, and I got the same error than @fabula-rasa

I could not get past the first level, and I made my best score the first time when I did not understand what I was doing X)
I still don't get the scoring system, sometimes when I have only 10 blocks remaining on my island I get loads of point, and other when I have almost all of my island remaining and lots of grass block, I don't get any points :/
The game is very relaxing and the mechanics are very interesting, but easier levels could be nice (like introductory levels, because I'm still not sure if what I did was right ;) )
Really cool game ! As other people have said, it has a "reign" vibes to it, but a bit darker, which is really nice !
The discovery at the start is really the best part, but the game is short enough for this starting wonder to stay through all the game, which is really nice :)
Nice game ! I just wished you could drop items where the bear? is, because sometimes throwing things where you want is a bit hard ^^
Very cool game ! I did not read the description before playing, I was really surprised when the monster showed up, I was like "WTF is happening in this game?", it was fun ^^
Wow, the game is not easy ^^ The graphics are cool and the music is really nice, but I didn't get to hear much of it since I suck :/ Also, if you don't use the key "q", you can map it to left so that azerty keyboards don't have to change layout ;)
The game is really beautiful, and the music gives a nice mood :) Maybe the gameplay could be a bit more interesting, with ennemies requiring different tempo and changing which key to press during a stage, because right now you can just mash all the keys for the entire game X) But I understand you spend most of the time on the gorgeous art than on the game design Also, since you don't use the key "a" in your game, you could map it to the "q" key, so azerty keyboards don't have to change layout to play ;)
Nice game ! I liked the concept of creating things that are more and more exotic to burn ^^
The pixel art is really good (even if the menu would have loved to also get it :p ), and the music accelerating is a nice touch
My only problem is that at the end the fires dies too quickly, so the wood is being thrown but the fire is still dying, and you have to move to send wood, you cannot just stay still to send all your stock, which was a bit counter-intuitive. Also if you map q and z to left and right, people with azerty keyboard won't have to change layout ;)
A very polished entry, with a fun mechanic, well played !
The game is really gorgeous, the pixel art is really nice and the music is cool, but the way the character controls with its acceleration curve, hard to make wall jump (especially the second time in the first level, with walls close to each other) made the experience a bit frustrating, especially considering the polish of the rest of the game
Really cool game ! The polish is very nice, and the game is quite innovative :)
I had a bit of difficulty controlling the character (when trying to chang his speed with the momentum of the paddle, I often miscalculated and did not catch him), but appart from that the game is very good !
Apparently the game does not like hdpi screen very much ^^ pigeon.PNG
Even when trying to zoom in with the web version, the font just shrinks and stay small :/ I must admit I don't have enough motivation to change the resolution of my screen to play the game, even if I wanted to play a pigeon fighting game :'(
Nice graphics ! Protecting the baby reminded me of yoshi's island, without the annoying crying (which is a good thing ^^ )
As other have told, having a more complex combat system would be nice, because right now my strategy is "go ahead, amass the ennemies, mash the button, and get back the baby" ^^ Could be nice to have shield, charged attacks or combo ;)
The game is nice, with great art and the concept is interesting with level well designed, a post-jam version with faster play (and maybe animation showing mouvement), and indicator of range for the different element (to avoid losing just because the player didn't wanted to count number of tile for every thing he placed) would be very cool :)
Really cool game ! The game feel very polished, and easy enough for a newbie in rhythm game like me to have fun ^^
Good job !
(the only thing I would change is the z-index of the feet of the character that are in front of the head of the character sitting in front, but that's a minor detail ^^ )
I like the building idea, but it seemed to me that the best strategy was to put all the obsidian directly next to the chest, instead of building a base or a labyrinth ^^ Also, the game crashed two time, the first time on the first wave and the second time at the end of second wave :/
The checker background is not the best to read the action, also one virus spawned almost directly on my grandparent, which makes it hard to protect them ^^ Also, when you are not using the key "q" and "z", you can assign them to left and up, so that azerty keyboards don't have to change layout to play ;)
The game is really funny ^^ The art is really nice, and the music is good ! I didn't manage to finish the game, but it was a fun experience :)
The only problem is that the fullscreen does not scale, and since you are not using the key "q", you can make it also go to the left, so the azerty layout don't have to switch to qwerty layouts ;) (also, you opt-out of the music category, why? Do you have a link to the music if you did not make it? Just by curiosity ^^ )
Gros poutou de Belgique !
The atmosphere is nice, but the game is really short : maybe an infinite mode would be nice, with more and more ennemies and a scoring system ;)
Also, when you are not using the key q (or z), you can also make that q = left and z = up, so that azerty keyboard don't have to change layout to play the game ;)
Nice game, a bit hard to know what kills you and what don't due to the low count of pixel. I like the fact that the level started by showing what mechanics to expect in the rest of the level, before you get the egg
Funny game ^^ It was a bit hard to understand how to play at first, but once I understood and got used to the time it need for the duck to stop (and for the grandpa to follow it), it was really nice to play :) And the grumpy grandpa is adorable and fun X)
A post-jam version with more levels using the mechanics introduced (the lasers and moving car), could be really nice :) (also, the fullscreen is very small on high resolution screen)
You should clearly tell in the description that you upgraded a game from a previous game jam, because apart from the code, it also mean that the game design was already made, graphics too, you had plenty of feedback on your previous entry, you had plenty of time to think about what to change and upgrade, etc. I don't think it's wrong to do so (in the jam version of ld, it wouldn't be ok in compo), you just need to say it clearly in the description and tell it in the description that this was not made in 72h, because else the people think you created it from the ground up. Even if you don't take the ludum dare as a competition, a lot of people do ;) (hence the rating system ^^ )
For the game in itself, the regular switch from black to white is kinda annoying, but appart from that the game is simple but fun, I could also see it ported as a fun quick mobile game, the game is visually good and quite polished :)
The game is nice, the graphism are really good and the music is cool :) Maybe you should give more feedback to the player when hitting/getting hit, because the sound effects are low compared to the music, so when you hit/get hit it doesn't feel that impacting ;)
I think the game is not loading for me :/ the blue bar is stuck at about 95%, and in the console there is a warning "The AudioContext was not allowed to start. It must be resumed (or created) from a user gesture event handler. https://goo.gl/7K7WLu". I'm using brave (with shields/adblocker disabled, so it should behave like chrome).
After 5 minutes of wait, the bar turns red and errors show up : GET https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/2155939/images/sprite8-sheet0.png 500 Error loading image 'https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/2155939/images/sprite8-sheet0.png': Event {isTrusted: true, type: "error", target: img, currentTarget: img, eventPhase: 2, …}
I liked the game, it is unfinished but is actually playable and interesting, and the fact that it is unfinished gives it a special vibe that I liked :) Maybe a post-jam version could be interresting ;)
Also, if you don't use q or z, you can map them to left and up, so that azerty keyboard don't have to change layout to play :)
I was not expecting this game to be this chill X)
I really like the nice atmosphere, you are crashed on a tropical island, and even if the fire was a timer, I did not felt the need to rush to rescue it, and honestly it is nice to be able to take your time. I tried to use the wheelbarrow, but since it's not required (and the game is not hard, thus making the wheelbarrow optionnal), I just did not use it ^^
Overall very nice entry, I liked the atmosphere, the music would be repetitive for a longer game, but fit really well into the mood and gives a holiday feeling that is cool to have in these times ^^
@linluk Also forgot to tell it in my last comment, but you can assign q and z to be left and up keys, so that azerty keyboard can play the game without switching layout :)
(Also congrats on getting a pixel art praise from @savvu, since his game is also really gorgeous, i recommend checking it out ^^ )
Well, that was a special experience X)
The game has a "surreal" vibe that I like, but I was not sure what to do : I put thing into the fire, but my axe broke and then I didn't how to advance in the game: also the fire does not seems to die.
Also note that if you don't use z and q, you can also assign z to up and q to left, so that azerty keyboards don't have to switch layout to play ;)
The game is really beautiful and the idea is really nice !
The controls have a little lag, and more mechanics could be nice to keep the interest through the game, but it is a really nice entry and really polished !
The game is really beautiful ! I really liked the splatter of blood that the pigeons left, turning the peaceful parc into a blood bath ^^
I really liked the graphics and the music, it gives a nostalgic mood that fits well the story :) (maybe you should opt out of the humor category, because this game is not really a source of lulz ^^ )
Not sure I understood everything about the story (especially the second part), but as said, you had to cut short the game. Maybe a post-jam version could be nice?
This is the first time I give a 5* in innovation and theme with so much conviction X)
The idea is really funny, not sure it give a good game (especially for us poor European, it's 6pm here and 1am for the poor hamster, so not much happens), but it's awesome to see funny experience like this :)
The game is interesting ! It was a short but fun experience, the only problem is that I feel like the most effective way to score is to spawn one soldier at a time behind the ennemies, so they change direction and to just attract them backwards, because there is so many of them you cannot kill them all. I made 66 seconds with that technique ^^
Also I had a crash once,

I'm not sure I understand the building part of the game, but the shooting part is really fun ! I like zooming around the map while pewpewpewing at bad guys :D The building part looks really interesting, and I'm sure with a proper tutorial it could be really fun ! Also the two music, the chill one and the more action-oriented one blend nicely for the two kinds of gameplay
Really cool game ! The twist on the tower defense genra is really nice, making actually active in the defense of your base ! The graphics are really cute, and the music is really nice ! The only downside is that there is a strategy that is a bit too strong, maxing the slow turret and the zone turret, putting them in the middle, and just watching all the ennemy coming to kill themselves, while being too slow to pose a threat ^^ Apart from this small thing (that can easily be balanced out), the game is really really good !
Really cool game ! I really like the mix of attack on titan and strategy ^^ It took a bit of time to adapt to the construction pattern, but once it was understood, it was really cool ! I also wished we could order the defender to defend a certain zone, it can be a bit frustrating to see them clear a zone far away from your camp when titans are ravaging the other side X) Apart from that, an incredible entry, very polished, with beautiful graphics, outsanding music and fun gameplay !
Really nice and incredibly polished game ! The art is really good, the music sets a powerful mood, the tutorial is really nice to understand what is going on, this game is really a very good game !
Nice game ! I liked the sound effects, in death it looked like the snowboarder enjoyed a bit too much getting hit by a tree, it's quite funny X) I had a high score of 550, don't know if it's good or bad ^^
Really cool game ! The gameplay is simple while being deep, thanks to the idea of auto shooting and rotating, allowing the player to concentrate on movement, while forcing him to move, which is a really nice thing ! Also like the change of style once you get into nightmare mode, also the scrolling text indicating the difficulty is a nice touch
Really nice game ! Very polished, and a very pleasant experience !
Nice game ! I was a bit surprised and did not know what to do at the begining, so i just protected him with my own shade, not using the umbrella X) Nice use of the theme !
Nice game ! I really like the innovative puzzle element, even though it's a bit frustrating that there is no really hard levels to use all the mechanics ^^ Also the tutorial bugged a bit for me, i was stuck in the second screen with a beaver constructing a dam in a black tile (probably because i clicked too fast on the previous screen, but i got softlocked from that). Apart from that the game was really fun, and more beaver games is cool :D
Nice game ! Physics game and tetris like are always fun to play ^^ At one point in the story mode an item fell out of the garbage bin and i couldn't pick it up since it went outside the screen, but apart from that it was really cool !
When trying to run the program, i got an error : "the code execution cannot proceed because X3DAudio1_7.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem". Is there a way for me to correct the problem and play the game?
Nice game ! It was a bit hard to understand everything that was going on (the font is a bit hard to read i think), but one you start to understand how the game works, it starts to get more fun ! I think a post-compo version could be really cool, with a bit clearer interface and some re-balancing (even though it seems more like bugs, since a 0hp monster is an interresting sight X) )
Well, this was a bit hard to rate for me X) I'm not a huge fan of visual novel, but I can tell this one is really good, with lots of polish and love put in it, which is even more impressive for a game made in three days ! Really nice entry, even though it's hard to rate when you're not in the audience targeted by the genra ^^ Also the fact that this is very different from all the other entries (I mean, visual novel in game jam is original by itself X) ) with cultural notes is really cool
Nice game ! I didn't had an XBOX controller, but the game works well with keyboard (but would be better if we could aim with the mouse ^^ ). I liked the music !
Really cute game ! I like the graphics, the chill music, and the fact that a game over is gentle (no changing screen, you have time to process the game over). Overall a very nice and chill game ! Also small advice, if you can also make the Q key go left and Z key go up (as well as the W and A of course, you'll support both azerty and qwerty keyboard, allowing users to not change their layout before playing ;)
