@nufflee you're right. I wanted ranged enemies as well. But time flies so quickly :D
@ursagames Thanks for playing and rating, I wasn't watching the stream live, but I just watched the video of the stream :) Always interesting to watch someone play your game :D
Thanks for the feedback guys! I planned an update for the game for next week where I'll add more enemies with different abilities and a more interesting map :slight_smile:
@verbante To be honest, "Right Click To Necromance" was a huge inspiration. I kind of wanted to combine that with Enter the Gungeon, but time was too limiting :smile: But I'm actually considering rebooting that idea as a project for 2019 :slight_smile:
@mateusboga Indeed, I wanted to be like a dungeon and with bossfights like in Enter the Gungeon, but time was quite the problem!
@morriss Graphics and sound are actually taken from Asset-Packs, which is why I opted out, but yeah I like them as well :joy:
Aw you bastards. How could you? Really clever use of the theme. Awesome graphics!
Goats wave you goodbye with "Bah bah". Would sacrifice again 5/7
Guess I should have checked my game's name before submitting. This is mine: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/bloodmage-1 I wondered why it has a '-1' in the url. So here I am. Just like you I used my homebrew engine. So many coincidences :joy:
Your game looks really good, I'll try and rate it once I'm home from work :slight_smile:
Well, the concept is pretty nice and the graphics are neat! But when maximazing the HP it quickly gets ridiculous. To the point where with one click the fps drop to < 1 fps and you can't see anything because the screen is shaking so hard. But tweaking the multipliers and capping stuff like camera-shake and this is a simple, yet addicting game!Unbenannt.PNG
@walterp Thank you! :) Yeah we initially wanted some items that give bonuses coming from those chests. Though time was flying... :D
@sebastien-bourgeois We had an artist, but he ditched us :( So I did some of the stuff, but there's also a lot from asset-packs (which is why we opted out on graphics)
@awerar Upgrades are available after each floor :) Though the screen totally lacks clarity. But well, we did what we could in the timelimit :D
@becher Yeah I should mention the web-version should be played fullscreen. First time we've worked with unity, so the different builds might be a little weird :o
@sam-machell Well, playtesting-time was way too short. We'll probably update the balancing during the week :)
@raffe Thanks you! The sprites are taken from asset-packs, but we at least tried to get our own touch into the mood with lighting and particle-effects. And yeah the upgrade-thingy needs improvement :D
@rein-elmer Yeah right now we're thinking of reducing all cooldowns as well as the damage. Not sure though, since right now it's more of a tactical gameplay which fits the dark theme
@grllle Thank you! Yeah well balancing might be a bit off atm :D
@orbitalblueprint That's true, were thinking of making theh gameplay a little more fast-paced
@vanleiden Yeah I was kinda unsatisfied and like "meh, maybe lights will help". And suddenly the whole thing got a hell of a lot better :)
@yohsk13 Yeah I wish we had a few more abilities to choose from, but oh well. Gamejam-limitations :P
@bjeaurn It might have just been a bit slow. But as is the Web-Version works :) Thank you for the review!
@tjosoft Thank you for playing and the review!
@kruemelkeksfan We will upload a new Web-Build today with hopefully better performance! The thought behind the houses was that your city can be really spread out. But if you build a small house-district you basically have a "Hub" where all the money goes and it makes it easily collectible :) Thank you!
Thank you @sageware for you kind words! Bridges are actually a nice idea. Might just make them a little more expensive than streets
@carraka well it's an idle game. There is no real goal. But I agree, the content is of course small. But then again it's roughly 15 minutes of playtime and I think that's pretty much on point for a gamejam :)
@mimusangel @gamejuv @arkinrev @miryuu-sekka thank you for playing and rating! :)
@scalphamission @excy @furano Haha seems like we should just cut out the idle-part and make a rainbow-sheep-simulator!
@coldsanwdich189 thank you :)
@egos Yeah I agree. The yellow thingy doesn't look too much like gold. This was our first time doing something in 3D...ever :smile: So there's defenitely space for improvement there! Thank you for playing!
@chiyeon nice I gotta try your game as well then!
@quichi Damn, thanks for the indepth review :D Yeah the UI was kinda rushed and should be made to pixelart as well and the difficulty-curve was made like this so you won't get much further then the last building. We aimed for 5-10 mins gameplay max for a gamejam-game :)
@fedora thank you :)
@xpost2000 I also think it gets addictive really fast. Probably could have gotten more done if I didn't play it as much during developement :D
The idea seems like quite some fun! I like the dancing mini-game :) I just can't really play the game. The character moves waaaaay too fast. So fast that physics can't keep up and I end up running through walls. If the speed is uninentional I think you forgot to multiply by deltaTime. If it is intentional you should at least activate continuos collision detection for the player so you won't glitch through the walls. But I think the idea of the game is promising :)
Cute little game! But "Refresh to restart"? Cmon :D
Man such a wholesome game! It was a really relaxing expirience!
Really nice concept! The music and art could have used a little more love, but the game itself was a lot of fun!
Your game is really polished! A simple concept but really well executed! Honestly this is almost release-ready. Add swipe-controls, make an Ad appear after each round and publish on the playstore. Done! I really liked it :)
@savvu I would probably do both. Swipe controls and buttons for left/right/trap :) Can't go wrong with that :P
