Nice game! Took a bit to get the hang of, but I managed to survive 4 minutes.

Neat little idea, with tile placement.

Maybe I just wasn't getting the strategy, but I found it quite hard to recover after a disaster, because existing things would be in the way.

The music was kinda annoying, I had to turn it off.

Lol! I love games like this. Enjoyable! With some better graphics, a little more variation, and some improvements to the music, this could make for a great mobile game. I highly encourage you to keep working on this, or use this as a proof-of-concept to develop a mobile game! Great concept, seriously!

nice concepts. I think the disaster are fine, except the fire. The fire really reset your board too much. I had to hold on to blocks to recover from fire specifically. Having to remove the X from the board using only 3x3 delete is really hard.

Good grief, this game is intense. I like the puzzley resource management you got going on. Sometimes things do get flashing around a lot and the music is a bit too much, but you got a good time-waster on your hands! I can easily see this being upgraded to a full-fledged mobile or web game. Job well done!

I liked this game more then I expected to do. I had a great time playing it! I loved the tetris inspired take on it. Cool sounds. Good job!

A bit difficult to understand on first time playing. Information overload. But it works.

Ooh, this was fun, but tough. I ran out of space very quickly, and didn't have much money to do anything about it. Cool game though.

Really nice concept! The music and art could have used a little more love, but the game itself was a lot of fun!

I made a tile-placing game as well. :) I like the element of keeping contiguous tiles together -- it was just enough planning to feel satisfying. It would be fun to explain the player needs to keep this one tree alive, and why it's so incredibly fragile. :D

Well done, I like the idea here! The game can be a bit unforgiving, but it seems balanced enough, especially for a 48h compo game.

One thing I'd probably add is an option to clear a smaller area than just 3x3. Maybe adding an option to also clear a 2x2 square would work (though obviously it would need to be expensive enough to not be overused by the player).

All in all, I had fun playing it. A really nice entry! ;)

great idea and very good learning stage! )

Tough game. It's fun but the board gets full and there's not much you can do, or maybe I'm missing something... Well made, good music.

This is one of my favourites so far this Ludum Dare! Simple to get started, but the strategy is quite a bit deeper than it seems at first.

I really liked only being able to delete 3x3 areas - the choice of what to delete hurt more than the gold cost, which made it something not to be done lightly.

At times, the famine and drought (especially the famine) seemed really punishing. Definitely took a few goes to realize the strategy isn't just "keep resources steady" but "be ready for a disaster."

Great job!!!

I quite enjoyed this - the gameplay feels smooth and the concept works really well. While I think this is already quite strong, it might be nice to have a bigger variety of things to deal with later in the game - it sort of felt like, at some point, I was mostly at the mercy of the randomness of the famines and droughts. I could even imagine more extreme challenges like "you need to build this *fourth* resource now" being really interesting later in the game - to create a more controlled scramble than a game of maintaining a system that basically works. Good entry.

I think this game was interesting but I struggled to understand the strategy behind it. It seemed like the best idea was just to rapidly place things and try to connect them. At one point I did get blocked by just not being able to fit a certain piece on the board. Wasn't sure if there was a way to clear the next pieces. I think if you put some more work into it it would be a super fun game!
