I cant believe how polished that felt.

I cant believe how polished that felt.
By far the best game i played so far. Very polished and a lot of content, excellent audio and graphics.
Had a lot of fun playing, i wish there would be more (and more challenging) levels, as i had the feeling its nearly impossible to lose, because you can regrow everything without a problem. But to be fair, it was fairly challenging to find the strategy to kill all hives in the last level! And as you are a fellow emscripten developer, how did you implement sound if i may ask? :D
Cute graphics, i loved how the different instruments combined into a whole sound, and that bossfight! As a note, you should look into the itch.io launcher, sadly your game is not compatible with it. https://itch.io/app
@oceanm @appix Thank you for your feedback! I would have loved to add more text and sound, but i wasn't able to add sound and text rendering to my game engine.
I was able to complete it, quite some content for a jam and some tricky puzzles! And btw I wonder what the last combination means? :D
Hillarious, i agree on the checkpoint part, and maybe the music is a bit too loud in comparison to the sound effects, but overall very funny
The style reminded me of 3D platformer i used to play as a kid.
Stunning. Such an amazing atmosphere. But i have found a bug, i was somehow able to fish before grabbing the fishing pole, so the fish i had fished went somewhere?
Great Graphics! For your interest, this game does not work in Safari, after loading it displays "abort(114). Build with -s ASSERTIONS=1 for more info."
Simple, but very relaxing. Also a lot of details! took me a while to notice the little squirells in the tree, love them!
"He got the burger, shoot him!", em ok xD overall nice funny game, camera a bit twitchy for my taste though.
It took me a while to understand what the morphling wants, but after a short while its was fun experimenting to unlock the other forms. The polish overall is astounding! Great pixel art, fitting music and sfx and overall smooth experience.
Edit: Small bug i encountered though, after I evolved the guardian the second time, I wasnt able to open the evo menu.
The game does not scale if you have a lower resolution, couldnt access the panel in the screenshot at the right
This game reminded me a lot of "The incredible machine" i played as a kid. Good job.
Simple but fun! Very detailed animations and good polish
They are some nice riffs on tamagotchi and general jokes in there, amazing xD And very well polished and presented, good job.
Amazing atmosphere and really nice pixel art! It wet back to the menu to fast for me to take a screenshot, but was not good anyway (-785) :D
Got 7, had a lot of fun. Im assuming im to greedy on the production part and start sending the people down to late :D
Challenging to balance collecting enough material to keep the fire alive and building buildings to ensure having enough material to collect in the first place, great idea! Speeding up the music increases the tension, but a bit to nervewracking to me xD Sometimes i had problems placing buildings, a kind of indication how much space a building needs would have been great.
Challenging platformer with interesting mechanic. The enemies in level 2 or 3 annoyed me way to lot while learning the throw and catch
Having to balance keeping the fire alive and having arrows to defend yourself was fun and challenging. Really nice pixel art and lighting effect!
F*** yeah!
Loved how the pandas were really sluggish to drag around
Had a blast! The "osu" part of the game alone would have been a great game alone, but combining it with "bullet hell" is hella fun.
@cagibi Glad the gamepad worked, wasnt able to test it with "standard" controllers
@1punnyguy44 assuming you meant sfx and music, the game has those! What browser and os did you use? would love to know, so i can fix those audio issues in my engine!
@1punnyguy44 thanks for reporting this :D i am going to look into what is different in safari...
@finnhax my game engine does not have the concept "scene" or "clearing the world", something to implement for next time for sure :D
Really nice retro look! And the voice really fits into the era. Playing on a trackpad, attacking with left click is unfortunate.
@boltkey you didnt opt out of graphics and audio, so you're still breaking the rules, and dont feel attacked, mistakes can happen, were here to have fun, but understand that it is infuriating to see someone else not playing by the rules.
Amazing art! Gameplay wise it was really fun trying to remember the orders and watching those yummy items transported to the customers, but after a while i was able to fill up the storage so much that the order fullfilled themselves :D
Very well done, the main mechanic has potential :D Very well polished, but on my mac small window with different punctuations of 'a' continuously popped, i personally blame flash for this :D
Simple but fun. Good polish. The quit option feels out of place for a web game und could also mean menu. Didn't get the hope mechanic as i lost the games to the 'glitches' as soon as they touched the fire for the first timet.
Nice overall game presentation, amazing pixel art, especially in the cutscenes and amazing music. The lighthouse felt more in the way than it should and no idea what that score meter in the upper left was about.
That escalated quickly! A little bug i've found, restarting day 5 returns the power cells you have already taken, but you cant get them
Amazing graphics and amazing sound! Especially the 'grrr' sounds got me chillin. Was able to defeat the kraken by spamming x, but I was not sure if there was supposed to be an endscreen or i was missing something. Overall a great artistic achievement.
Hard to understand the abilities at first, but fun afterwards! Reminded me of the lemmings
What a weird story, but still very touching :D
Took a while to grasp the concept of having to have different kind of tracks to get more points, but then i got a score of 900! Loved how the music was ever changing
All hail the *** god (spoiler free i hope). Despite little forgiving bugs I encountered one which could lead to problems: On my resolution (1400x900) it can happen if you dont have the item to feed to the animal you cant close the context menu because the inventory is over the close button, going into the pause menu and walking away somehow solves it. The same can happen if you have the tongue and scalpel and try to throw something away, the scalpel and tongues come first and you cant click the things you want to throw away nor the close button.
I love that it feels like a metroidvania, a more grindy one. My biggest complaint would be that the controls feel a bit unprecise, it frustatingly often happened to me that after jumping you got stuck on a corner and lose precious time and die right before the ship. Being able to control how high the jump is depending on the duration you keep the button pressed would be a huge help to prevent this. Overall a great game though.
Such a nice game :P Short but sweet, only entering a building and being on top was a bit confusing
Played trough it multiple times, just to master the hard pattern at the beginning of the second song :D Very well done, loved those quirky voices which harmonised well with key patterns, and it's hard to find a rythm game where the actions you make align with the music playing, loved it!
Tricky puzzle game where every move counts. Took me some time to understand that you can grab coffe before someone requests it, but still took me some time to beat lvl 4, good job! The sounds effect are superb
Love my rythm games! Feels a bit like necrodancer, but with more indirect control of what actions you can take, but fits well with the theme of looping your actions. Had the feeling the trigger after completing a level or death doesnt always trigger, forcing me to reload the page often (atleast the web version)
Mac Build does not open for me, have you selected 64bit for the mac build (and only 64bit). I'm on catalina
Well executed, loved seing my past ghots screwing up badly xD Wished they were more levels
@stellarbeargames It's the game boy color palette from aseprite :D
Mechanic and controls felt great! As I got going and flying through the levels, I thought you should remove the 'platformer' tag, because I felt more like a 'flyformer' :D
Nice atmosphere, the old windows theme well executed, I like it. Sounds are awesome, those popups are a bit annoying, so i guess they work as intended :D On a 21:9 aspect ratio it seems like some popups are not completly visible.
Was the dungeon map also being a loop intentional? :D
So much action! But I think the camera shake was a tiny bit to excessive xD Would have wished full controller support, couldnt play on the controller because having only one weapon is to little.
Nice voice lines :D Good humor, in the end i want berserk and ruined the factory xD
Took some time to realize there is no penalty in placing towers, but then realized those enemies just destroy those towers, so you have to keep going :D
Got 3336, awesome sound design! I felt like getting passengers back in any way could have increased the tention, because as soon as you loose all of them it's guaranteed the ride will be over soon, but if you could get a passenger once per loop, you will try to struggle you way through the loop, hoping to make it never end
Kinda nonsense, but in a good way :D
The mac build does not work on my Intel Macbook Pro
Was able to get to 40s :) I took me a while to understand that you have to go to another room to make potions because I didnt see the icon for it. The cat animation at the cauldron was super cute
Looks and sounds amazing! At first I had no clue where the balls would come from, it took a while to not miss the beacons because of the offset. A indication in the artwork or something else, visually showing where the orbs would come would have been helpful.
Got 1425 second try! Great polish and amazing feeling when completing a tall burger, but felt a bit to punishing when you have missed like one ingredient early but did the rest correctly, so you have no incentive to complete the burger correctly one you did one mistake
I digged the "papercrafty" art style (not sure if this is the right word for it). It took me a while to unterstand what the 10 second timer does, but then it was fun to rush through a passage in the 10 second window to avoid getting devasted by those little ghost bullets. The death feedback could have been more explicit, it confused me a bit because getting reset to the start without any kind of fade etc. And if the place where I died and the start point is looking kinda similiar I thought death has no consequence
@mrmaico did you happen to tab out of the game or something similiar before the crash?
@MrMaico thank you, I think I've got the issue
This game is so meta! Loved the sounds, especially the talking sounds kinda sounding like animal crossing. Also the "jump scare" sound and music was excellent. The graphics look also great!. The monster often spawned outside of view, and I had the feeling you could trick the monster out by standing near an room exit before the timer runs out, otherwise an amazing entry.
I killed myself (citri? the player?) a lot in a short amount of time. Would have loved if the chat or citri had acknowledged this ("lol, are you doing this on purpose?", "I'm pretty bad today, haha")
Had problems getting back up to the people, the jump felt a litte bit short
Nevermind, found out there is a double jump! Game was pretty fun, loved that you have "exponentially" more seeds available and figuring out when to go back up. Sometimes the game stuttered a lot for a few seconds (Intel Macbook, Google Chrome)
Some great wario ware vibes :) Simple but very polished. Would have loved if it had an mouse only alternative for dodging, maybe left and right mouse click, just in case one cant switch fast enough :D
The art looked good, and the transition beetween dimensions were pretty smooth! Music sounded great and fit each dimension, but it looks like you have used third party music and according to the rules you should opt out of the audio category
Oh, those electric fish were infuriating xD Then i nearly got it and I hooked that damn shark!
The seasonal changes and animation looked exceptionally good. The art in general.
The jumping felt a bit sluggish and floaty, but I can see why floatiness could be desired to make it easier to not miss the cycle changes.
Very nice interpretation of the theme. Art was incredibly detailed! I had problems unterstanding under what circumstances the cat attacks, but more often than not it would leave me alone. Great puzzles, took me a few mice before i understood not lower the pulley with the weight of a dead rat :)
Art sound and gameplay felt polished! Took me a while to figure out that destroyed tiles are deadly, and that you can throw bombs off of them as well! Liked how you had to adapt to the changing level
