My favourite use of the theme so far hidden in a powerup here.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD51 → Base Clock

My favourite use of the theme so far hidden in a powerup here.
This is really clever and the platforming is slick too. Fantastic entry, especially for this theme.
I am impressed with how this game use's theme and power-up. The Sounds and Music fit completely this game, so it makes this game's mood.
Sound effects work really well with this one. Enjoyed the game and it felt more relaxed than most of the other "10 second" games. Like the art style as well. Would love a level selection because my run crashed at one point and I needed to walk the whole way again.
@mrmaico did you happen to tab out of the game or something similiar before the crash?
@malai yes I did. When I got back, I believe I was at the start again or the game crashed. Forgot already what happened
@MrMaico thank you, I think I've got the issue
Very nice and smooth game! I really like your animations and sound effects! Also, clever way to increase the clock! ;)
Looks life a default platformer, but only before you play it. Like the upgrades, the huge map, sound and art. 5/5, nothing much to say :)
This game was incredible! Perfect approach to the theme. Best game I've played this jam.
Great ideas for upgrades and the game mechanics! Platforming controls were well tuned and the layout of the items and collectables created a nice level of challenge. Nice work!
Good take on the theme! Altogether nice, polished game. At first I was stuck, then I discovered that I can walk off the screen into different rooms.
Great game. At first did not I expect it to actually be a metroidvania, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well genre defining features were designed and implemented. Well done.
Wow. One of the best games I've played in all of my years of Ludum Dare. Super polished and just plain fun. Unfortunately I didn't manage to snag all of the orbs as I got a tad lost on where to go in the final sections, but that didn't detract from the experience in my opinion. I would have appreciated a map though! In the same vein, a more interesting background would have been nice but I didn't really feel like I was missing it either. The powerups worked really well with the rest of the game, and the hex clock was actually a really cool way to incorporate changing the timer without it just being arbitrary. The level design was outstanding as well and checkpoint placement was done extremely well. I was definitely rushing to get to the next checkpoint, especially before the hex timer, but I never felt like it was unreasonably tight and there was always at least a little room for error. I could go on for a lot longer but really, it was just good. There's a lot of potential here if you decide to keep going with this project!
Wow, this game is so far one of the best I've played so far. I loved how you applied the theme here. It's so cool how you're basically creating your own checkpoints in this game. I had to physically stop myself from playing because I had other things I had to get to, haha (couldn't make the jump for one of the orbs rip). I also loved your audio / sound effect choices; everything felt so bouncy, in the best way possible. I would totally play this if it were a more fleshed out game. One piece of feedback is to include a permanent UI element that lets you know how many orbs you have; at some point, I definitely forgot how many I had, haha.
In the grand scheme of things though, that's pretty minor, and this was a fabulous entry. Definitely deserves more ratings. Congratulations :)
Lastly, and I hate to do this, but just wanted to quickly plug my game for a rating as well (https://ldj.am/$303168). Any feedback would be appreciated as this was our first ever Ludum Dare. :)
Enjoyed playing this game very much! The graphics, the sounds and the overall mood is flawless.
Nice metroidvania experience, was able to collect all the orbs! The level design is great, it feels expansive but not overwhelming. The music and sounds really tie in to the atmosphere with the art, it feels very cohesive. At first I thought the game was incredibly hard (do I really need to master how to do double dash jumps and run to checkpoints with 0.1s to spare, I really had to work for those first 7 orbs :D), then I moved the game to my other monitor (60Hz) and the dash was twice as long and I could beat the rest of the game with ease.
So initially I would have asked for a "retry" button to teleport you back to the last checkpoint as the game was so hard but I don't think I would have needed it when it works properly. So I'd say the only real issue I had was that the game didn't work properly at higher refresh rates (I know it can be difficult to test during a jam, don't worry about it! (my game is probably pretty broken on an ultrawide as I don't have one too :D) ). Anyways great work, also love the main character and the animations! (Oh also also, the hexadecimal clock was super smart, it is still 10\* seconds (\* base 16) )

I didn't finish the game, but all I saw is very well polish and fun to play. Level design is cool which is very rare in jam. Good job for all the work
Platforming felt great, the two upgrades were clever, nice map design. Really liked the palette used and tiles, the character could use some work but all the animation cycles were smooth. Well done, loved it
