That's quite the amazing game you've made! I love the concept, and I love that you made it so you can't cheese your way through it. Great work, keep it up!

I realy don't like the soundtrack :c (and it was so loud!) I also had a bug, when i tabbed away and then resumed, the player fell through the ground.

You maybe want to cap your delta time for updating your frames.

It's super addictive but really difficult! It was a lot of fun experimenting. Would have loved a fast-forward button, or something to speed up time once the puzzle was solved :)

Cute and clever game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/eHokHalkfT0

Cool puzzles, great music and a solid visual style. Sometimes it was a little hard to judge where the little human would end up but I really enjoyed my time with this, great work! :D

Great game, the puzzles are a lot of fun to mess around with. I love the art style, especially the character's run animation and how the waves blend into the game page.

As for feedback, I think it would be really cool to have the character leave a trail of sorts that remains after a trial run to give the player an idea of where to place the next platform or otherwise modify their current layout. Additionally, I think allowing objects to be moved without being deleted and placed again would make the level editing portion feel a lot smoother. That said, these are more suggestions for if you are looking to build on this idea in the future rather than things I would expect to see in a compo entry.

Lastly, after completing the level shown below, and the game seems to no longer respond to input. I decided to go through the game a second time just to check and encountered the same issue again. little-human.png

Really enjoyed the game and the challenge it provided. I really like how it's physics-based and this causes a lot of trial and error while playing and also many different ways to complete one level. The art stle was really nice too, simple but it works really well. Occasionally encountered a minor bug where the player would get stuck in the wall (mainly the narrow one where you had to use the fan to get up) but it was usually fixed by restarting the simulation.

This game reminded me a lot of "The incredible machine" i played as a kid. Good job.

I liked a lot about this game (sound, graphics, puzzles, etc.).

I couldn't quite figure out what caused the fish to pop up. Maybe I was just brute forcing the puzzles and not thinking enough though.

5 stars in all categories. Simply the best I have played in this jam so far. I hope you win!

Wow, awesome music. Loved the Lemmings style puzzle solving. I wish I was smarter, I didn't get to the bit in your screenshot with the spinning blades/spikes.

One thing, if you continue past the compo, I'd suggest working on making it more deterministic, as there were a few occasions, with no changes to the placing of blocks, that the little guy would hit or miss a target with the trampoline and / or falling.

If it's your own engine, maybe set them as fixed curves over a fixed time so it's the same every play?

Enjoyable game. Initally was a bit confused about where do I have to lead the guy as had no marker, he just went back & forth for a bit and then I was successful, but playing it more I did get into it quite a bit. Loved the graphic style, music too, excellent game overall!

Really enjoyed this one. The pixel art was simple but did it's job very well. The audio was nice and soothing as well. The puzzles were rather well put-together. And you wouldn't believe the look on my face when a fish jumped out of no-where and ate my character XD. There were a few bugs in some levels though. The main character would rebound even though there wasn't anything in front of him causing him to die for no reason. Still, once you patch those loose edges the game will be infinitely better. Amazing job overall :)

This is cool! I really enjoyed finding out what I can do with those limited amount of items. Also I love the music and the pixel graphics. What bothered me was seemingly random appearance of the fish. I read the source code after playing and understood that the fish appears if the human stays within a limited space for long enough, but it is not easy for players to guess that the fish is a kind of a penalty. It would be better to spawn the fish periodically, like every 5 seconds, but with slower speed. That way players can easily learn that trapping the human in a small space is a bad idea. Anyway, this is an excellent game. Great job!

Whoa, pretty complex game for a compo entry. And it works so well! I can think of some usability ideas though. It would be nice to be able to easily move objects. Often I needed something to be one block away and I had to click a lot to make it happen. Loved the puzzles and graphics. Awesome!

neowhoru 2020-05-12 14:59

Wow i really like it - and i hope you get enough rating at the end. It kept my attention really big.

thomas-bringer 2020-05-12 15:01

Amazing game! Really impressive for compo. Great simple pixel art and music. Levels were really well-designed and challenging, mechanics were cool and nicely introduced. Loved how it was more about finding "your" solution than "the" solution. Congrats! :D

Why didn't you play, rate, and leave feedback for other games?

somethang123 2020-05-12 15:07

I really like the freedom in the way you approach a level. The soundtrack got a bit annoying but it's not bad or anything. One thing that would be nice is the option to place multiple of the same block without having to click on it every time you have to place it. Overall though, it's really fun with nice graphics and it's also really polished. Good job!

I generally liked it. Nice puzzle game and cool level design. Audio is fitting as well and I liked your color choices.

I didn't like that you stifled player creativity with the worm that would come and eat me if I didn't solve the level exactly as intended. For example, I built an elaborate trampoline and block perpetual jumping around system in one of the levels. It was cool but the worm said "nope".
