LD45 — Start with nothing

Outside the BOX by IcyLava 2019-10-11T14:07:53Z

Fun puzzle game with minimalist graphics and fitting music. I felt music was a bit loud, but I turned my volume down and all was good. Loved it.

Flubby Farm by yazara 2019-10-08T08:53:46Z

Nice game mechanics. Loved playing it especially upgrades. Once I had to chose least terrible card, I really loved that part.

Begging Simulator 2019 by lekiy 2019-10-11T05:13:33Z

Nice graphics and sounds. I loved the adaptation of the theme. For the first time I thought the run animation is punch someone, so I tried to punch those who didn't give me money. That would have been a good feature in the game :) I had fun playing it.

Start with Nothing, End with Nothing. by Ongomato 2019-10-09T09:53:42Z

Interesting concept. Loved playing it, but it's quite difficult

The Howler by Noa Calice 2019-10-08T08:51:51Z

I always enjoy art and overall experience in BTP games. Art looks so simple and yet has quite a charm. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Reboot Royale by Webox 2019-10-11T13:27:03Z

I watched this game live on stream then came to play here. Amazing idea and quite innovative too. Loved it. Full marks on almost all categories.

2 Shoes by LJFMX 2019-10-12T13:25:11Z

I found a bit tough to learn. Had to think about so many things. Had fun trying though

A Game about Nothing by earnso 2019-10-08T13:19:01Z

Theme adaption was on point. Loved playing it. One thing bugged me was text and voice were out of sync.

Red Rush by helpcomputer 2019-10-08T09:00:59Z

Nice puzzle game. Loved the art and music, it would have been nice if there were instructions in game.

Ragtag Rescue by Tim Ruswick 2019-10-10T13:31:01Z

Loved the art and concept of the game, music is fitting. Had fun playing it.

Neon Void by egawag 2019-10-12T03:59:00Z

5/5 for everything. One of the best games I played in this jam so far. I thought why there are so many abilities in the game? And then at the end, I ended up using everything still took me a few attempts. Had a lot of fun. Music, Sound FX, Graphics, trail animations, little dots that guide you towards the ability and then they get bigger as you close in. Story narrative simple and yet fun.

Zen Man by Team Catwheel 2019-10-17T17:20:46Z

Does this game read mind? I kept getting "sex" as a distraction more often than any other.

On a serious note amazing job. Great graphics, interesting adaption of the theme fitting sounds and music. Loved the concept.

ØJE by Gaming Night 2019-10-11T09:16:02Z

Loved your art and interpretation of the theme. It was good to be given options on how to end the game. I found jumping and landing a bit difficult and felt falling from heights was unforgiving apart from that I absolutely loved to play the game.

When Nothing Came by velvetlobster 2019-10-08T08:49:56Z

I really loved the music and reverse effect. Also the world was being built as you walk through felt like quite a good story telling.

Strange Adventure by randdir 2019-10-11T09:28:55Z

Nice game, apart from feeling a bit short and couple of typos here and there (not trying to be a d!*k) I found the game to be amazing. I always love a game with multiple endings and want to explore all the possibilities. Great work.

Welcome Home by KP_CFTSZ 2019-10-11T18:45:21Z

Fun game, loved playing it. Graphics and music were really nice. Adaptation of theme is unique. I wish there was an eraser, because great artists like me(check my drawing below) need them.!

Null Is Zero by Sunblast 2019-10-09T18:05:28Z

A bit of sokoban and maths together. Loved the concept, perfect adaption of the theme. I wish there were more levels to play.

Penniless S.O.L.D.I.E.R. by Meoanar 2019-10-09T12:33:53Z

HAd fun playing it. Loved it. It was good to take down enemies from behind without they knowing it.

Virus Jones by Bernardex 2019-10-08T13:46:21Z

I found it a bit hard and was not sure if I was doing right thing in shooting. Liked the idea and was fun to play.

Build 'm up, Shoot 'm down! by magus77 2019-10-09T18:17:04Z

Apart from what @loadsofmana said there is not much complaint in the gameplay. Controls are snappy. A bit of feed back in enemy death would have been nice. I felt Im shooting but the skeleton is not dying. Until I spammed my gun. As for graphics and music I really loved them. Sad to hear about the camera shake that would have been really nice.

The Island by Benjamin Leroy 2019-10-09T07:40:33Z

Nice graphics and fun game. Loved playing through it. Movement felt a little difficult to handle, but not game breaking.

The Story by Kszaku 2019-10-12T09:09:53Z

The game does not open on my PC even after I installed latest .NET runtime. When I open the game .exe file it just opens a command prompt window and closes it the same instant.

The Story by Kszaku 2019-10-12T13:17:27Z

@kszaku installed .NET Core also, same issue.Capture.JPG

Spooky Mansion by Jeremia 2019-10-09T11:21:48Z

Took me a while finding the key, I wish I could fly through walls after possessing the key. Music was awesome, that too multiple tracks. Solid entry

NOTHING GETS OUTSIDE by PashaShef 2019-10-08T15:13:54Z

Interesting idea, possessing objects to complete a level. Fun game, loved playing it.

Cipher by TaqoShaq 2019-10-09T07:28:42Z

5 stars for everything. There are so many different rules you can extend this game to 100 level game. I wish you expand this to even bigger game. I feel this game will be in top 3. I would love to learn how you programmed this game. Great job one of the best games I played in this jam.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-08T06:43:58Z

@pokenoufl @tohubohu @gasgiant originally the game was supposed to have an endless amount of interactions, initial idea was to generate enemies at random, assign them reward amount and assign them traits that will be used in taking the split or steal decision. Stealing may not always get you win and when on low you have to split in order to maintain your oxygen, but I couldn't implement this in time, so had to rapidly create some enemies and kept this static. Thanks for your valuable feedback really appreciate it.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-08T06:44:50Z

@ogre @inky @bubblewandgames @duboisaxel @coffeecup-winner Thanks for playing the game, hope you enjoyed.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-08T14:43:02Z

Thanks @skyeward for sharing your thoughts. I had to rush the gameplay in order to complete the game. Thus the mechanics are not well established. The game is 50% of what I originally thought. Otherwise splitting would have made more sense.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-08T14:44:29Z

@mgoadric thanks for the feedback and Im glad you want to play it again this mess. Even I wouldn't like to play it second time.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-08T14:57:12Z

@mromnomnoshka wow thank you so so much.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-08T18:05:31Z

Thanks @bernardex for the kind words. At the middle of the development I felt it has become an ambitious project. The price I paid with rushed gameplay mechanics and somewhat unclear instructions.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-09T13:49:07Z

Thanks @alicecrd

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-11T18:08:39Z

Thanks @mathemagician and you are right I didn't have much time to work on them. I could not complete everything I initially thought.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-11T18:11:02Z

Thanks @dodelov sorry for that, I tried to add humor in the enemy descriptions, so it might have not felt much clearer. But the decision making was not completely dependent on it. It was some what random.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-12T03:14:17Z

@webox maybe you're not bad at negotiations, maybe the finall boss is just a d!#k

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-12T13:15:38Z

Thanks @cyrolis hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you so much @theinkskeleton. The final boss is a bit cunning Im sorry for that :) Im glad you noticed BTP reference, there's one more such reference about Jonas Tyroller.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-13T12:10:32Z

Thanks @selkkie for playing the game and sharing your feedback. The original idea was to generate enemies at random, but I had to rush the development as couldn't spend enough time on the game. Thus I made the game "Unwinnable" to cover up. I wanted to add many factors to steal or split decision such as your total amount, enemy amount, your last few choices and a random factor.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-13T15:10:05Z

Thanks @randdir for playing the game.

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-14T09:28:00Z

Split or Steal by Monish Vyas 2019-10-29T05:48:53Z

Thanks @brokenmirrormedia for the feedback. Art style is similar to Kurgzegstat, but not as good as they have.

BadMouThing by Anton Novikov 2019-10-08T09:26:04Z

Fun game although I quite didn't understand the significance of bad mouthing.

Egg Farm by kuviman 2019-10-08T13:09:52Z

Loved playing the game. Quite amazing adaption of the theme, literally started with nothing. Awesome

!Another Chance by aleksandar2901 2019-10-08T18:21:26Z

Really nice storytelling, fun game to play and loved the choices part. Playing again and again to explore all possibilities was fun and didn't feel boring. Speaking animation a nice touch to it.

My Friend N by rroni 2019-10-13T18:40:08Z

Interesting concept. The game looks polished. and question answer mechanic was good. I could change my imaginary friend's color in the game that was cool. I wish I could do that in real life :). Overall a nice game. Congrats on finishing your game in your first jam!

Meowmories by Yomissmar 2019-10-10T12:53:22Z

Loved this little narrative and the purrfect puns you put in. I felt some of the text went fast, it bugged me that I could not read them. Music and atmosphere was amazing and aided in the story telling. Graphics were amazing too.

You should consider playing other entries in jam and leaving youe feedback to them. It will come back as more ratings and feedback for your game. Hope this helps, have a good day.

Return to Nothing by SageWare 2019-10-11T11:18:04Z

What I wanted to say is almost covered in all the comments above, so I'll only say this that I absolutely loved playing your game and loved to explore different endings.

Egg Problem by Bry 2019-10-08T12:59:12Z

Going through the comments and saw many people saying "well balanced" I was surprised, then I realized, I can move birds. After that I beat the shit out of those eggs. Very well made fun game

Defenders by IndieEclipse Official 2019-10-08T14:06:43Z

Loved the idea of defense and you exactly start with nothing but yourself.

Day Zero by Emma B 2019-10-11T04:20:46Z

5 stars for everything. I don't think there is anything I would say will be new as earlier comments say everything. One of the best games I played in this jam so far. I can see you will be higher in rankings for sure. It drove me crazy that I could only find 19 things. I thought I missed 1 thing only to realize there are more than 20 to find. Played twice but still a few things left to find. I wish someone make a video of this game and find everything. You should look forward to expand the game further.

EDIT: I found 21/20 and please tell me there are no more things to find. I can't sleep knowing there is something more to find.

Wanderings of a High School Boy by 2 Odd Diodes 2019-10-12T03:40:26Z

Artwork is amazing, an appropriate music would have been cherry on cake. Loved playing it.

Unfold by Luc Dercourt 2019-10-11T11:39:20Z

I loved the progression in each level from empty to non lethal to dangerous to almost impossible. Art had a lovely monochrome feel and music was fitting. Great job bud!

Memories of Eleph by Leandroc 2019-10-14T09:43:34Z

Loved playing the game. Puzzles were nicely set. The calm music added greatly to the art to set the calm mood even though you are always on edge. Amazing!

Nice story about the jam itself. Lovely music. Fun game

You Broke the Game by OlegKlishin 2019-10-13T09:43:51Z

Things I want to say that are already mentioned:

Awesome game (✔️) Great graphics (✔️) Fitting BG music and sound FX (✔️) Very accurate and snappy controls (✔️) Very well placed platforms and other level elements (✔️) Feels like playing a commercial game (✔️) 5/5 for each category (✔️)

I don't know what else to say that is not already been told. This is by far the best game I have played this jam.

During the community game jam I commented on a game called "Back and white" that this game is the best and that game went on to win the jam. I wish the same happens with this game as well. I'll be shocked to see if I don't see this game in top 3 overall and winning in atleast some categories.

NumberLand by Tiulkin Boris 2019-10-08T13:29:27Z

I just wish this game was in english. I really loved comic style prologue. It would be unfair if I rate this, because I haven't played. Art style is pretty amazing.

Thanks @cepblvl I will be eager to play it

I loved this game. Humorous and fun to play a spy.

Trollwoods by zondarg 2020-04-27T06:36:38Z

Nice game. Loved the effect of torch and fire. I felt torch did not have much effect as I could see everything in the dark. But overall had fun playing it and loved the adaptation of the theme.

Campfire by Linus 2020-04-27T08:07:27Z

Nice game. Loved the glowing monsters and their animation.

Destructive Flyer by exilegl 2020-05-04T11:40:50Z

Simple fun game. Loved it.

Rover Pilot by workshopcraft 2020-04-28T07:03:26Z

Some texture for the mars surface would have been nice. I kept wondering what the controls are as I thought rover was not moving until I saw the minimap. I loved X and Y axis info and percentage showing completed. Spending more time on the game would have brought some awesome game.

The Keep! It's Alive! by minibobbo 2020-04-30T11:45:26Z

Awesome game. I loved every bit of it. It was good to have different types of people to eat, kept the game interesting. And probably the most creative and unique adaptation of the theme.

Protect It by Laaph 2020-05-04T11:31:28Z

I saved it. Very simple yet challenging game. At some points it frustrates you a great deal. But loved it.

I agree with @justmars that it should be delayed or slow a little.

@fupi *spoilers* that is the last level.

missingBrainHeartbeat by grandtheftmarmot 2020-04-25T06:57:42Z

Loved the graphics and overall feel. Flashlight effect was really nice although I played in day(easy). Nice concept. Fun game.

missingBrainHeartbeat by grandtheftmarmot 2020-04-25T18:34:54Z

@grandtheftmarmot I started with night time and was able to find 2 robots. But for some reason couldn't find the third one. But I wasn't frustrated, the thing annoyed me was the controls. I feel along with WASD you should have assigned the arrow keys as well. Because other controls and shift were all in left hand side, so movement in right side feels comfortable (In my opinion).

However I forgot to mention in earlier comment that after finding all 3 robots I wasn't sure where to that beacon. I had to watch the youtube video for that, because I felt stuck and I wanted to complete the game.

Apart from this and me being critical I enjoyed the game. It was fun experience.

Motobot Defender by pkenney 2020-05-05T09:58:17Z

Awesome game my man. That to you managed to do in 48 hours. Loved the models had some cool animations. Best feeling was to hit 9 bots in a row in single drive. Overall a very solid entry and really fun game to play. A background music track would have been cherry on the cake.

I came here to brag about my 9000 something score only to realize people have scored more.

8 Degrees of Being Charlie McCandless by Simukas 2020-05-04T15:19:05Z

Turto! Virtual Pet by deathray 2020-05-05T07:33:54Z

Symbio-tech by GenericToast 2020-05-05T15:52:42Z

Nice game I really enjoyed it. One thing bugged me was the controls, I had to aim with mouse and then had to come to hit space and for that I had to leave either mouse or movement controls. changing space with LMB might resolve this issue. Overall fun game, nice looking graphics and cool BG music.

Symbio-tech by GenericToast 2020-05-05T18:53:04Z

@generictoast Ah! I used arrow keys. I'll try WASD and will let you know. Thanks.

A Night In The Dark by lectvs 2020-04-28T08:20:45Z

Loved the game and every moment playing it. Introducing new elements at regular intervals kept the game interesting. I wanted to explore the whole world but died a few times. Will come back later to play more. Just one small issue was I hated when my player threw the log instead of putting it down, same happened with the axe and lost it forever in the dark. Went with a torch to find it but no luck :(

Overall a really amazing game and a lot of fun playing it and the art looks cool

Just Fishing by DrunkardWolf 2020-05-05T06:19:20Z

Very polished game. And fun to play as well. Graphics are amazing well matched with music and sound fx. I loved the text transition. No wonder you have so many good ratings and reviews. I feel like this game is one of the top contenders. If not overall then in a few categories for sure.

🌸 Conway's Garden Life by joonamo 2020-04-28T15:06:26Z

I loved the game so much, got 7th on the highscore list. The game looks very much polished and features packed. You added multiplayer also you could see how other players got their scores. But that also tempted me to checkout the top scorer's placements. Overall a solid entry and a really fun game.

Funny game. I liked the idea. Maybe I was missing something, but I couldn't decide which option to choose. Apart from that I enjoyed the game and loved the evolving animation and spin, some fire particles would have looked even better (In my opinion).

Zoo keeper by Team-on 2020-04-30T11:52:58Z

Cute art and very simple yet a ton of to play. Played all the games 3-4 times and still can't get bored of them. Loved the main menu with closed signs. I wish I could play any game I wanted to play by clicking on the enclosure. Top game.

LD46 - Carry This Torch Through by tso 2020-04-28T08:25:00Z

Just like the others I loved the colors and aesthetics. Simplistic and beautiful. Just couldn't figure out what am I supposed to do.

Living Light by zubspace 2020-04-30T06:49:09Z

Nice game, had fun playing it. Some effects on death would have been nice such as camera shake or particles. I myself didn't have much time to do all these so I understand it, but you can add them once the jam is over.

Thank you @bilalch213 for playing and rating my game. Originally I planned to do so but as usual I didn't have enough time as I had only one day to work on.

Thanks @tesseract for playing the game. I wish I had more time to balance it.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-25T07:41:09Z

@patsui @sndr I am spawning a circle around the player when the items change so food items near the player are destroyed to avoid instant death. I should have made that effect a bit more popping so it is clear.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-25T10:36:48Z

Thanks @patsui for playing the game. Your advise is noted and will work on it once the jam is over.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-25T10:37:58Z

Thanks you @nathant yes I agree some FX would have been more fun. Wish I had time to do that I only worked a day on the game.

Thanks @congusbongus glad to hear it.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-25T10:41:18Z

Thanks @sndr as I mentioned earlier there is a small ring spawning to destroy near by food, but apparently there is still room for a lot of improvements. Also there is a bug in the choosing items so that might also be the reason. Thanks again for playing and rating the game. Hope you had fun.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-25T10:44:29Z

Thanks a lot @marvin-chong for playing the game and a detailed review. I have taken all the inputs into consideration and will work on them once the jam is over. Initially I planned to have 3 lives and player will change from its original color to yellow and eventually green but I did not spent as much time as I would have wanted.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-25T10:46:19Z

Glad you liked it @emmitt I strongly agree there is a lot of room for the improvement. Hopefully I will expand it once the jam is over. Thanks for playing it.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-26T15:52:23Z

@whiteseraph thank you so much for playing the game. I put a small blinking animation when the items change and spawned a ring around the player to destroy nearby food items but the animation can be easily missed as the UI is very small and the ring in the center also spawns only for one second so it does not impact much. So definitely there are a lot of improvements required for it to be a "complete" game.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-27T05:34:13Z

Thank you @peterbuo for playing the game and your valuable feedback. Two same items is a bug in the code which I didn't have enough time to solve. Looking forward to correct it after the jam

Thanks @zondarg for playing the game. Im glad you liked it. I will change a few things poat jam and changing the ring is first thing Im going to do.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-04-28T04:59:00Z

Thanks a lot @gustavo-christino for playing the game and detailed review.

1. Yes I agree that when the items change it is sometimes impossible to click items that have almost reached to player. Which feels a bit unfair. I am looking forward to improve ot post jam.

2. I used already made music from soundimage.com and exempted from that category as I cannot make musics.

There are a lot of things to add to this game which I will add once the jam is over and will inform you if you might be interested in playing.

Once again thanks a ton for playing and detailed feedback. Appreciate it.

Keep Gannet alive by Monish Vyas 2020-05-03T07:07:46Z

@mattwoelk I am working on an update and the issue you mentioned is the priority.

@prodigalson Originally I planned to have a random timer, but then I settled for changing food every 10 seconds. The issue is food changes as you are about to click it and that results into instant game over, which feels unfair. I am looking forward to change the system in a way that the player has more time to react to.

@anagf I planned to make it as simple as possible, maybe lack of instructions made it a bit confusing.

Thanks you @mattwoelk @prodigalson and @anagf for playing the game and your valuable feedback.

It Lives by Sbug 2020-04-26T16:24:47Z

Loved the game. And I loved the adaptation of the theme. For the first time in a game I enjoyed how my character died.

Primed by gimblll 2020-04-28T15:24:00Z

Very well polished controls. Loved the art style as well. Only if I could play this game for a good few minutes.

I liked the game though I died too many times. Voice over and music made it more fun to play.

Awesome game. Loved it playing through. Demanded quite a bit thinking or maybe I am too dumb. :)

Shmup with grappling hooks by chuchuw 2020-05-04T11:04:52Z

Cool idea and quite nice take on the theme. I loved the graphics, sound and gameplay, all comes together very nicely. I just wish I could aim in any direction with my mouse. That's just in my opinion. Overall great fun to play.

I don't know how to name this by OwnGamesGamer 2020-05-04T15:11:36Z

Nice game and cool take on the theme. You had me in the main menu I loved it. I think there are some typos in the "How to play" section, but now I think about them they might be intentional. Fun game.

Keep It Powered by rob1221dev 2020-04-27T07:52:20Z

Loved the game overall. Art sis cute music is cool. New mechanics kept the game interesting on each level. Got stuck in level 8(feels impossible). Would love to finish the game, so please upload a video with walkthrough. A solid entry all the best

The Light Child by hulien22 2020-04-28T06:56:50Z

Fun little game. Just like the others I felt it a bit hard to only carry one item at a time. Had to move child of light and the axe a few inches alternatively.

Area 64 by AdamWatters 2020-04-27T07:35:10Z

I really loved the game. Text adventure with good writing is always fun to play. After figuring out the generator password, I kept on dying from either fatigue or the monster. Felt stuck a bit and couldn't complete. Overall a fun experience. Would love to finish it maybe later.

Final Interrogation by Gamer Fates 2020-04-26T06:06:47Z

A short but fun game. I found it a bit guessing rather than coming to a logical conclusion. Story telling and writing is good. Information about 3 victims on the same page maybe overwhelming for some people. Overall a fun game. Good luck!

Lighthouse Keeper and the Shadow Pirates by cagibi 2020-04-26T16:12:17Z

Nice game, I loved the graphics, music and sound FX. I loved how you used lighthouse light radius as health, made it easy to check the health. I wish there was a way to repair the light house.

Boss Fight by DuckDuckProducktions 2020-04-25T10:59:41Z

I really liked the concept and adaptation of the theme. Music was fitting to the theme of the game maybe loop was short and that's why it starts to feel annoying. But overall had fun.

Ball Monster by marrero171 2020-04-26T10:06:32Z

I really liked the game and especially art. Music was fantastic and other sound FX as well. I totally agree with @brusi on each point he made. Level 3 and 4 were quite difficult and I gave up dying many times on level 4. Brcause I had to re do everything again and again. Got annoyed and gave up even though I liked the game and wanted to play it. Overall great potential and a good entry.

Chicky's Delivery Service by Jelle Vermandere 2020-05-02T11:45:57Z

AAARRGGGHHHH! Why that stupid egg does not fall where I want it to. I've been walking on egg shells after playing this game as I broke nearly a million eggs trying to complete this game and yet failed to pass even the third level. Very creative take on the theme quite quirky as well .Loved the game so much. Maybe it was a tad more difficult for me.

Frostbite by NachoCP 2020-04-26T05:45:46Z

Loved the game. Graphics are really nice (better than I could ever make). Particle effects were really nice and distinctive for both cases (enemy killed and enemy hit the fire). Progression and difficulty felt quite natural in increasing was not too easy or too difficult. I felt like there was no need for player movement as I shot only from one place almost all the time. Also Firing would have felt more fluid if it was mapped with mouse click. Apart from that I really enjoyed he game.

Mosquito by Leetchi_Heda 2020-04-26T06:26:48Z

Really funny game. I loved the idea and adaptation of the theme. Took me a while to know that you need to attack the same wound to drain blood faster.

Hosted by pulkit garg 2020-05-05T10:27:26Z

Nice game. I loved your take on the theme, making an idle/tycoon game. Graphics are simple and nice, music too. I wish I could select one server and place it more than once before clicking it again from the menu. Apart from that the game is fun to play especially time speeding.

Plants To Grow by foxtrotluna 2020-05-04T11:50:05Z

Very calm and relaxing game. Loved the day night cycle. Very simple and minimalist look no instructions needed.

Light Is Life by DreamerofDays 2020-04-25T11:09:27Z

Nice adaptation of the theme. Although there were on instructions, it was clear what I needed to do. Some small changes would have make the game feel more responsive. For example, flipping the sprite as @guladam mentioned. Using platform effectors, some particles or FX on death and light circle getting a bit darker on the edges.

Overall I really liked playing the game and it fits the theme very well.

Trappy Dungeon by Potato Bot 2020-04-30T06:56:05Z

Loved the game. I was able to complete it. It was good start from the same level after dying as starting from all over again is annoying.Graphics were good sound FX too especially when dying, felt like game is mocking me for dying. Nice game overall.

Skip A Beat by Zyger 2020-05-04T12:23:52Z

Found your video on youtube and came to play the game. I loved the game and it looks very much polished. Visuals are stunning, the CRT effect is nice and sounds are fitting. Movement effects are really nice adds juice to the game. Overall a great entry. However I am not sure why you went for a 3D model when you could make the same in photoshop in 2D

Gameplay wise I think it was good to have a very simple idea at the core and then build it from there. You did a great job. I felt the colliders were a bit bigger and sometimes I felt hitting them even though the last pulse went pass me. Overall a solid entry especially this is your first jam.

Save the torch! by eduardogacn 2020-04-29T07:26:31Z

Loved the graphics and gameplay. Awesome game. I felt it a bit difficult for some reason I could get past third level. Also dying and starting from all over again felt a little annoying.

TreaTrees by RhinoFreak 2020-04-26T11:40:31Z

Congratulations on finishing your first game. I enjoyed playing through it. I feel like it's endless game with no win condition. Art is cool and so is music. The game gets challenging after a few plants (that is you plant them at different locations, later I found out you can plant them in one place). As @qfrct suggested adding some rules improve the experience. Overall good effort for your first game.
