LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

NOPE by icxon 2018-12-05T20:38:06Z

And they said, that you cannot make a spooky strategy game! Holy shit, that was intense. They should give you Alen license, I can easily imagine that game with Xenomorphs as antagonists :) Awesome job! I was hoping to stop goshing, and give you some well deserved review, but damn, I just love spooky industrial scifi horror games, so I'm just going to keep an eye on this one with hope, that someday you will turn this into full experience.

Krakatoa by fishbrain 2018-12-03T22:36:06Z

I liked juiciness of your game. Playing it was fun. Also, nice usage of theme. Good job!

ShotLight by Galan 2018-12-03T22:24:21Z

If you want people to play your game, you need to upload binary.

Room44 by arzi 2018-12-04T21:50:01Z

One of my favourites. Story was cool, graphics were beautiful, and music was nice. Fitted theme greatly, I really felt, like I was sacrificing someone :)

FTD : Fixin' to Die by nuclearfriend 2018-12-09T12:24:45Z

That was definitely good jam game! I loved all that humour ("It breaks my heart" while sacrificing almost sent me to hospital). I also like how new elements were introduced. Hopefully we see next time on LD :)

Sacrifarm by martincohen 2018-12-05T21:02:35Z

First of all, awesome job for keeping game's size around 3mb's, after downloading ton of over 100mb's Unity/Unreal Engine games it felt refreshing :) Game itself - it's really freaking good :) Firing shotgun felt awesome, just as picking up the grains. I liked the little screenshake too. But little more info about how much people I really have to sacrifice would be nice.

Cave of Eternal Happiness by FerraWare 2018-12-03T22:31:22Z

It has nice ideas, and I like it, but saying anything more would spoil the story. So i will end it at that. Good job!

Satans Shiv by TheProNoob 2018-12-03T17:34:06Z

I liked the flashiness of deaths, however wasn't really sure when the devil claims parts of my life.

Sacrifices by Bookworm31 2018-12-03T23:29:45Z

It's impossible to play that game without Java. Consider packing it to executable: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2011664/compiling-a-java-program-into-an-executable

Sacrificant Rising by Brent Chance 2018-12-03T17:25:49Z

I liked the way swinging mechanic worked. But beware, it's that kind of game, where one mistake can ruin your play :) Good job!

Space Station Gamma-7 by kelbg 2018-12-03T21:08:16Z

First of all, I would make the character slower. Tank controls are okay, but he does everything too fast. That little change would improve the game a lot. Overall it's good, and fits theme nicely, so good job :)

Death and Taxes (you can't escape) by dreadzilla 2018-12-03T17:42:00Z

It's like Super Mario, but with zombies and zombie dogs! Gameplay is great, and you should definitely expand on that.

Demon Arena by angelnm 2018-12-03T16:57:36Z

Mowing down hordes of demons - what more can you ask for? Also, sacrificing your priests fits theme nicely. Good job!

Lock-Tris by ckRobinson 2018-12-03T17:47:30Z

Smart twist on familiar idea. Fits theme nicely, overall its an okay game.

Eztli by lilkrit 2018-12-03T21:43:36Z

I liked the graphics and it fits theme. However, gameplay is kinda generic (for adventure game), and game lacks any sound. Good job for finishing, 3D art looks really good.

Electrolize by mawrito 2018-12-03T22:22:34Z

Przechwytywanie.JPG It seems like you haven't uploaded everything yet. There is file missing.

Cultists vs Demons by Hairic 2018-12-05T20:49:29Z

Good job on finishing the game. I like your pixel-art style. Turn based jRPGs aren't really my cup of tea, but I guess mechanics were implemented well. Theme was put to good use.

Eye of the Master by JesterSeraph 2018-12-09T10:54:28Z

The game was repetitive, however I enjoyed the graphics and music.

aberth: simple text based choose your own adventure by jfraser314 2018-12-05T06:44:43Z

That was really creative idea! Great job. I've made game in PowerPoint once, so I know what you went trough :)

Cheap Satanist by Daragonis 2018-12-03T23:47:16Z

Gameplay gets really interesting after first couple of levels (with introduction of enemies). Atmosphere was thick, thanks to the lighting.

Mirror by Micorynne 2018-12-04T22:19:44Z

That is something to keep expanding on, so keep that up!

Infiltrate by Berkin 2018-12-04T20:31:42Z

Idea is great, but IMO you should allow player to continue his mission after doing the sacrifice. Also, sometimes being spotted felt random. I didn't liked the motion blur, but luckily there was option to turn it off. Nice entry :)

Ludum Dare: The Game by Darylsteak 2018-12-09T12:03:43Z

It really reminds me of my first Ludum Dare experience :) Balance could be better, also I had a few UI glitches. A solid entry overall.

Whatever it takes by Sir. Syko 2018-12-05T22:53:02Z

Graphics and animations were nice. Gameplay seems well implemented, but overall sacrificing seems forced (though it works in context of game). Solid entry, nevertheless :)

SACRIFICE by SphinxFr 2018-12-04T19:00:30Z

It may be the most technically impressive game I've played this jam. Low - poly models look sweet, and mechanics are implemented really well - I have not experienced any problems. Good job!

CatBot by Sozey 2018-12-03T22:19:21Z

It seems, like I am sacrificing my HP when I try to shoot while moving. Nice concept, however game newer told me that. 3D models look good.

Shamanigans by SnoutUp 2018-12-04T21:55:29Z

I love the fact, that many item can be used in so many ways, opens way for emergent gameplay. Graphics are great, game was very funny overall :)

The Happy Prince by Jisam 2018-12-05T21:08:05Z

Fits the theme, and the graphics are fine. But controls are really frustrating. I wasn't able to beat any level.

Missing Parts by radow 2018-12-05T20:11:05Z

That was one of the "why for gods sake I haven't got that idea" kind of game. I liked how sacrificing parts of robot affected the gameplay. Also, didn't really expected point and click puzzle game, to be that intense. And, thanks to your game I am now sure, that I wasn't the only one to use browsers speech synthesis to make game :D Great job!

Istenek by Fenderbate 2018-12-04T21:14:02Z

Whoa, LD game, that has a tutorial :) Looked and sounded really nice (i liked the Nintendo 64-is dialogues), gameplay was just okay, but it fitted the theme.

DEMON HELL by Valden 2018-12-03T23:53:41Z

It's like Doom for Atari 2600 I never knew I need! It's flashy, fast and brutal. Controls are tight, and weapons are badass. Good job!

Wizard Swarm by zingzang454 2018-12-09T10:21:27Z

It was just okay. It was hard to control the hero, unless I took the slow down. Enemies come with numbers, and it was easy to lose. I liked the programmer art :)

Starving Island by Iker Díaz 2018-12-04T22:46:00Z

Idea has the potential, but controls as weird, and for the first couple of games I wasn't sure which lemming was mine.

I Am A Snowman by dangerbackwards 2018-12-09T11:31:27Z

It fits the theme, and has a lot of potential of turning into some cute platformer. Good job!

Viking Snow Fight by Trevor Hayes 2018-12-07T22:32:31Z

It fits the theme nicely, I like how over the top sacrificing and the reward for it is. The little sound cue when hitting the enemy was really nice touch. Game has some ideas worth expanding on.

Zombi'Escape by Jammin 2018-12-09T09:00:16Z

I liked syncing music with obstacle appearance. Graphics were good, and it fitted theme nicely. I was kinda hard tho :D Good job :)

Fire Swept by Eric Smith 2018-12-04T20:18:17Z

Good usage of theme. Funnily enough, it's the first game (in this jam) where player has to save people, rather than try to kill them :) I also liked the artstyle, although gameplay is rough around the edges, and sometimes I wasn't really sure why my units are getting grilled. Good job :)

Shepards Island by Zhorky 2018-12-03T23:40:16Z

Looks nice. Some of the mutations are really funny. Chill, relaxing game :)

Upon the Alters by SweetGreen 2018-12-09T10:56:47Z

It doesn't work. You didn't uploaded nothing but the exe file. You need to upload you _data folder, and UnityPlayer.dll as well!

A Ludum Dare Game by MrBlue 2018-12-09T11:26:15Z

The game fits the theme, and the overall idea is good. However, the physics need more work. It was very hard to control the capsule. It's hard to pass the wall on the second level. Good luck next time.

Appease the Gods by Fernando Tonon de Rossi 2018-12-03T23:37:30Z

For 5 hours? Awesome! I like your hand-drawn style.

Archibald's Snobbish Journey by Thomas_Bringer 2018-12-04T18:30:38Z

I hate Archibald, because he is the biggest nostalgic asshole I've ever seen. I like your game tho :) Graphics are cute, and it fits theme nicely. Gameplay idea is fun too.

Dark Villagers by AwiX 2018-12-06T21:38:52Z

Cool game, it could be called "Satanic Cult Tycoon". Sprites looked adorable, and atmosphere was thick. I really liked that one.

God's Thirst by Vlad Ilisan 2018-12-06T22:15:23Z

Why you opted out from humour rating? i laughed so hard when, when my offerings felt into the pit and FREAKING EXPLODED. Pixel art was nice too, though i believe, that there are some bugs, because many times my enemies fell into the pit out of random, or after just one hit, while standing nowhere close it. Anyway solid entry, good hob :)

Elder Loop by cyriaque 2018-12-05T20:23:24Z

I believe, that your implementations of mechanics is good, but there is a lot of work awaiting you when it comes to balance. Everything felt weirdly slow. It became suddenly better when I maxed out speed stat. Also, some rooms ended my playthrough in cheap death, because there was a knight waiting for me by the door. However, having in mind fact, that it was your first LD game, congratulations on delivering. Keep on working, and you have something special!

Keep Trying by seggyx 2018-12-03T22:00:04Z

That game deserves more love. Despite its few bugs (getting stuck on the blocks, bullets weird behaviour), its fun. It even has funny title screen! Good job. I WANT MORE LEVELS!

Rain Away by hechi 2018-12-04T21:23:57Z

It's fun and hard, graphics look nice too. I would suggest making a checkpoint at totems. Losing all my progress felt devastating. Good job!

Happy Meal by wischi 2018-12-05T21:41:24Z

It's solid, although I wish, that game try harder to tell me how to eat my dogs.

Broken people by WTMK_BK 2018-12-03T22:07:57Z

Maybe I'm old, but because of these falling cubes I couldn't focus on UI. Also, theme seems kinda forced. Anyway, good job on submitting.

Toothless Speed Dating by Flying Dog Fish 2018-12-07T22:40:28Z

I like your Idea, saddly I've seen better implementation of it during this jam. Solid entry tho.

**FREEZING IS THE MAIN PROBLEM ** by CausaCreations 2018-12-04T18:36:45Z

Your game has the bes graphics I've seen through this jam, so good job on that! I like your idea - it fits theme nicely. Audio is okay.

Generic Zombie Apocalypse Game Title by NoodleMaster 2018-12-03T21:23:41Z

Please, don't throw that idea away! Keep working, this is a diamond in the rough. Also, I would suggest making it turn-based. Days are passing a bit too fast, and sometimes it can lead to missing that window of opportunity, where player can make a decision, that would stop the zombies (for a while).

The mistake by Blasphème 2018-12-09T09:15:35Z

It was chaotic. I had a hard time figuring out what i was supposed to do. Your enemy design seemed random. However, idea of sacrificing other players seems interesting (it may be problematic in co-op context). The audio also seemed random. But good luck on delivering something, and see you on the next jam!

Burn-Out by Tom Kurcz 2018-12-05T21:26:13Z

Damn... Well, thanks for all these flashback to my first year at university, I forgot, that I was playing text based game. I felt really touched. It made me sad. It is art. Submit it to one of these streamers, who are playing LD games. More people need to see that. Awesome job!

Eldritchual by arkinrev 2018-12-04T00:01:16Z

As many people above said, the game is a bit slow. But I can enjoy its depth, and overall it looks and sounds nice.

First time by co181127 2018-12-05T21:35:16Z

Game gives very little buffer for mistake. I felt kinda off because of the music and graphics. But funnily (at least from what I've heard) its somewhat accurate representation of workload that medical service workers are putting on themselves :)

Sacrifices of daily life (with @aslak) by tfgamedev 2018-12-09T10:34:00Z

It kinda reminds me an Android game called InstLife. If you haven't go check it. Overall your game was okay, tho there were some bugs. I had fun for a while, so good job!

Soul Eater by Harrison Pickering 2018-12-04T18:06:46Z

It remains me my first unfinished LD Entry. Mechanics are there, but game needs a lot of polish. You definitely made some progress when it came to art.

Evil Cult Managment System v1.0 by Kszaku 2018-12-04T22:27:28Z

@iker-diaz hahaha well, it seems, like there is bug in a way I was using browser's speech synthesis API :P

Cube Rapture by currentdevon 2018-12-04T18:13:59Z

I can't play your game, Either there is no executable, or you uploaded macOS/Linux version.

Sacred by Stonis 2018-12-04T17:31:54Z

Fun concept, fits theme well. Music (while fitting at first) becomes annoying after few loops. Graphics are okay.

No time for everything by BenitezDev 2018-12-03T17:10:48Z

Are you guys sure it's working? I couldn't pick up anything... Also, ".exe" is just zipped html :(

Vicious Voyage by Brin 2018-12-03T17:18:45Z

Fits theme nicely, but rather frustrating. Restart button would be nice. Also didn't liked the music. Graphics were nice.

The Great Fire by TeamOooTrack 2018-12-09T10:07:49Z

How do I feel after playing this game:

Przechwytywanie.JPG

I like your idea, but implementation has some bugs. Anyway good entry.

Offret by Valentin Shatz 2018-12-04T22:33:27Z

I can't say, that I enjoyed your game, for the reasons you stated yourself. Maybe after I watch the movie (which I will definitely do) I will change my ratings. But, at its current state - it's just really basic platformer. Mechanics feel right, but it's everything good I can say. Keep on working.

Fallen Angel by myro 2018-12-05T23:05:38Z

Awesome idea, I love how sinister the gameplay looks. Just add some more music, make more levels, and maybe tweak a bit controls in ghost mode, coz I can feel how my spacebar hurts. Also really nice pixelart.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Hungry Holly by Avon 2019-10-20T17:31:46Z

Okay, so (at least on my machine) web build was pretty sluggish, and if not for Windows version, my opinion would be much worse.

Which would be a shame, since I quite enjoyed your game ;) The art was great and charming, and I liked the music. Gameplay also was okay. So yeah, nice entry, congrats!

This Is The Police by Geckoo1337 2019-10-12T22:04:56Z

It was pretty fun, but the text was soo slow. I see no need for it, to type letter by letter. Especially, when you are going to replay the game many times. Also, we seem to share the sense of humour :)

First there was nothing by dirkinz 2019-10-17T18:40:59Z

Well, you have made something rather interesting. And as my predecessor said - the blob was indeed cute.

Red Vs Green by Flying Cat of the Pepes 2019-10-12T11:21:03Z

I like it! It kinda begs for more balance tho (with monkey fighting force large enough, there isn't really anything in the way, that poses any threat). I liked the art, and sfx. Nice entry!

Blackout by almost 2019-10-20T18:51:00Z

scren.JPG

I loved, how I thought that I am the killer, and tried to put blame on blonde... Who turned out to be the actual killer xD

I see potential, for emergent stories like mine coming from your game, which is great, because I like personal narratives. Great job!

CrushBorgs (beta) by HD408 2019-10-08T14:56:58Z

It is a functional Contra clone. Shooting and jumping felt okay (but I have noticed a few glitches with jumping). There was some questionable level design (especially in second stage). I really liked the music. Good job.

Run Through Worlds by celsyum 2019-10-20T17:22:28Z

I liked the Super Mario Galaxy vibe ;) Took me a while to figure out why I am progressing to next level, but I figured it out in the end. You have interesting foundation there, now polish it out!

Helicopter Crash by Shaolin Dave 2019-10-09T06:49:33Z

It is pretty functional adventure game. The puzzle design seemed okay (I have not used walktrough). Sometimes text did not fit into textbox well, but it wasn't deal breaker. Waiting for a post-jam version ;)

Catzy by vlandemart 2019-10-20T19:07:20Z

I liked it! The game is kinda easy to break, if you bank some cash, you can surround yourself with the cats easily ;)

Escape from Nabazka by Tomcus 2019-10-20T18:06:23Z

Gameplay was pretty fun, and it fitted theme nicely. Graphics could use some work, and music became annoying after a while.

Grab your katana! by Mikeliosus 2019-10-14T21:24:54Z

It's really fun, hope you don't abandon this game. There is solid gameplay foundation, that you can build upon ;)

The Library by techsec 2019-10-08T15:07:06Z

I see a fun adventure game buried in this, but so far it has failed to grab my attention. Maybe I am missing something?

The Library by techsec 2019-10-09T06:27:33Z

@techsec Yeah, but I kinda want that ;(

Deep Space Mining by Hoshi 2019-10-20T18:29:28Z

I really like management games, so I did enjoy the ideas you put there. However, pirates are a bit... Overwhelming? ;)

Scope Creep by 2Demigods 2019-10-12T22:23:00Z

Not really my type of game, but I hope that U had fun making it. Good job ;)

Deal with the Devil by tgb20 2019-10-13T12:26:47Z

First of all, could you provide emulator with download of your game? I've played it on Visual Boy Advance, it is free (there are even open source emus). It would give easier time for players wanting to test your game.

Now to the meat - your game is pretty bare-bones. I mean it is playable, but I didn't have much fun. It is really remarkable, that you made it on GameBoy, so congrats for that ;)

LD 45 by Omeys 2019-10-09T06:51:19Z

LINKS, WHERE ARE THEM!?!

Sorrow Quest by Adam Saudagar 2019-10-14T21:03:07Z

I liked the stealthy bits. Also models looked really nice. I don't see any problems with gameplay as well. Really nice!

RacoonVenture by Nerzal 2019-10-14T20:55:53Z

There seems to be a lot of glitches, that previous players already pointed out. I liked the art and animation, music also seemed to be okay. Nice entry.

Adlez A New Begining by Abyss Darkstar 2019-10-12T18:13:49Z

It was kinda underwhelming. It was looking like a turn based Zelda clone (with backtracking and all that stuff), and theme was kinda there, but mechanics were really basic, artstyle poor, no sound whatsoever...

BOKSIL by Inkajoo 2019-10-12T16:43:11Z

For starters, on my machine game started flawlessly. I had no problems with that. However, It is really far from being completed. Only thing, that seems somewhat intractable is a post sign. While uploading, you could choose "Unfinished" category. I liked the Zeldish artstyle, and engine seems to be working well.

Battleground Command by gamedevkng 2019-10-08T15:11:41Z

The link does not work

Battleground Command by gamedevkng 2019-10-12T07:25:23Z

Pretty cool game idea, but there is still a lot of work waiting for you. For starters - please switch off the motion blur. It does not work well, with your Wolfenstein-ish graphic style. Secondly, I liked the idea of forbidden zones, but I would like to know that I am approaching one (maybe a mini-map with zones pointed out?) before I get into one, and get shot. Another questions is the difficulty, and level design - I played it a bit, and first weapons I found were in well observed places. It is little discouraging, to pick up weapon, and have no chance to hide it. Anyway, pretty cool game, congratulations!

Battleground Command by gamedevkng 2019-10-12T16:25:53Z

Cool! I want to try it out. Feel free, to (at) me here, or on Twitter (dam0ch).

Rail shooter prototype by Chocolat-Endive 2019-10-12T21:33:31Z

GODDAMMIT BOB, I TOLD YOU TO WATCH THAT DAMN HYPER CANCER! by turbo.torbo 2019-10-20T17:44:28Z

The dry humour was spot on, gameplay was a bit weird, but fitted theme nicely. Great job ;)

There is only one level... Idea is there, but please, let me play, when you add some content.

Humanly Optimized by Doc_Moustache 2019-10-09T06:40:43Z

I have to say, that I enjoyed this game. The underlying concept seems to be solid foundation for something bigger. Story seems to be pretty interesting, I genuinely want to know, what happened next!

I liked the character swapping. Seems like pretty good concept. Unfortunately in your implementation it was maybe a bit inconsistent. Artstyle was charming. Nice job ;)

Hunger by Esben Jensen 2019-10-20T18:36:29Z

Well, executable file's name says it all ;) It's an hobo sim. Not sure about your handling of the subject, but hey, you can build full hobo simulator from now on I guess.

Slippery Slope by Adamkauth 2019-10-12T07:38:28Z

The only thing I had problem with was the resolution. Sometimes it felt, like my 1366x768 laptop screen was too small, and thanks to that I had hard time reading the tips. Other than that - a pretty cool entry!

Insert Title Text Here by Bip 2019-10-14T21:16:12Z

ModularArena by PepinoSMH 2019-10-08T15:28:29Z

So that is a pretty good idea for a game. I like the way player can combine different effects to get weapon of his dreams.

On the side note, knife enemies gave few laughs. Cool game!

VoidRunner by TechNSmile 2019-10-09T15:44:56Z

There is a potential in this concept. Just fix the bugs, work on level design, and you have yourself a fine product.

Materialistic Cat by tarfield 2019-10-12T22:15:34Z

The jumpscare at the end got me 😂 Cool entry, fits theme well.

Life is Norman by KewinDenian 2019-10-12T18:19:14Z

Game seems functional, I was even able to 'get' first jokes... But you know what would be better? Having game in a language I can understand.

Training fire - Nothing to fear by Ederis Soares 2019-10-08T15:11:00Z

It does not seem to be finished.

Medieval Punk by Ann Khmel 2019-10-12T21:03:45Z

Keyboard support would be nice.

@summerjw 404 on the link. Are you sure, that repo is public?

LD46 — Keep it alive

Please Stay on the Line by kleinzach 2020-04-21T20:56:06Z

At the start I was kinda disappointed. There was no animations, no sound, but then... Well, I will not spoil it. Let me just say, that as a horror fan, I am rarely that happy to eat my words up. The lighting looks nice, although I am not sure if the second mode of flashlight is really necessary (the game gets too bright, and it kinda kills the atmosphere). The cell phone thing was kinda cool too, but its kinda hard to play while using it (which was probably intentional). i really like it, can't wait to see where you will take it!

"Zen" Garden by tic 2020-04-25T16:07:07Z

Pretty good concept for a game about managing crowds, while trying to build something. Although it gets pretty unforgiving, when you have over 70 flowers.

The Busy Gardener by elektropapst 2020-04-25T16:14:44Z

Pretty cool! I can image people playing it to create their own beautiful gardens ;)

The Ludum Dare Flame 🔥 by tobiasw 2020-04-21T21:08:12Z

It has a lot of potential for a social space, and I like it for that ;)

The Lockdown by loudrasiel 2020-04-21T18:56:55Z

I collapsed the economy several times, but France was freed from pandemic. Cool game, random events add some sense of humour (not sure if intentionally).

Hacking is Probably Not Like This by sayumeki 2020-04-21T19:53:00Z

That is REALLY cool! Watching progress bar for the final hack nearing completion, while timer ticks down towards zero is one of the most tense experiences I've had with ANY LD game ever xD Great! I also liked the story beats, it turns out, that I have a soft spot for retrofuturistic cyberhacker stories ;)

Planet Doom by NNNIKKI 2020-04-25T13:47:00Z

This is pretty solid entry. The idea of blowing up astronomical object, to stop evil alien infestation weirdly reminded me of the very first Halo game. The gameplay is pretty good, although it took me a while to get used to control scheme. The only issues I have are with the GOD DAMN SCREEN SHAKE and I kinda found the music to be a little off-putting.

Keep Itt Alive by SonOfSofaman 2020-04-21T19:30:13Z

Core mechanic works fine, although it needs a bit of refinement (it was annoying, when bird spawned bellow me, so I had no chance of seeing it). Cool game ;)

Survivors - Protect or die trying by dbr 2020-04-22T20:10:12Z

Nice interpretation of theme, although there is a ton of things you have to work on. I like the pixelart tho.

Father dies At The End by nahual 2020-05-04T18:58:13Z

Damn, the kid's voiceover was really great, I loved that. The graphics were cool a swell. Overall cool game.

Overly Fragile Relationships by vilix64 2020-04-21T21:28:53Z

It has a lot of potential for emergent gameplay! The stories that generate during gameplay are often quite hilarious. Cool game!

Protect the Walnut! by Eduardo Yukio 2020-04-25T16:02:18Z

Okay, so there is a pretty cool game buried in this. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to enjoy it. Maybe it was because of my unimpressive platforming skills. Which is a shame, because mechanics seem to be well implemented and explained. So yeah, nice game, just not for me :(

Meltdown by TheFoppian 2020-04-25T09:16:40Z

Okay, so this is pretty competent entry (I especially enjoyed the humour), but there are a lot of rough edges. The game kinda feels cryptic, even with the manual. If you are planning to work on your game, I would recommend implementing a sort of tooltip system within game space, so the important info is always at hand. Also, if the game over screen told me exactly why I failed, I would have easier time learning from my mistakes.

Running Old Game On Windows 10 Simulator 2020 by Kszaku 2020-04-21T19:32:50Z

> I feel like I would definitely play a longer and more painful version of this if it existed.

@sayumeki stop tempting me...

Running Old Game On Windows 10 Simulator 2020 by Kszaku 2020-04-21T19:54:33Z

@billehbawb you have to download an ISO image from itch.io page, and mount it

Running Old Game On Windows 10 Simulator 2020 by Kszaku 2020-04-22T16:46:02Z

@eduardo-yukio no, I have never played that, but I definitely will! Thanx!

Running Old Game On Windows 10 Simulator 2020 by Kszaku 2020-04-27T19:09:49Z

@nnnikki the game is about keeping the old software alive... or something.

have you downloaded (and mounted) the .iso file?

Keep the Flame Alive by InsanityCode 2020-04-27T19:56:10Z

It is pretty cool! Kinda reminds me of feeling I've had during jam sessions :)

The Light Within It by NunoRibeiro 2020-04-21T19:03:33Z

It seems, like you haven't published the game on itch.io, @ me when you do that.

Chill Thrive by JDK2209 2020-04-21T19:18:20Z

I REALLY liked the way music smoothly transitioned between day and night, and how more layers of instruments were added as I played. It felt weirdly... System Shock'ish xD Overall, that is pretty interesting concept for a game, maybe I would change the "wind" mechanic. Where shaking clouds to make it rain was fine, dragging the wind button gave no feedback, and I was not sure if it works.

The Gumbo Garden by Guardaro 2020-04-25T09:25:13Z

I'm a sucker for music that adapts to gameplay, so you got a big plus for that right from the get-go. What you seem to be aiming at is thinking man's time attack game, and I kinda dig that.

The lich feast by geroblacksmith 2020-04-25T13:31:16Z

The idea is there, however the game seems to be lacking a bit. Hope you can build on that.

The Puzzle Of The Fantastic Fungus by Jahwffrey 2020-04-25T14:08:34Z

It was super fun! Especially the final moments, as the timer was nearing completion, and I tried to save at least one cell of fungus. The music was cool too, I'm all for dynamic soundtracks.

Escape from Exodus Prime by zollmaniac 2020-04-22T21:12:44Z

I am kinda lost on what I am supposed to do, but hey, its your first game! :D Congrats, hope you keep working on it.

Responsibility by Szkocka 2020-04-22T20:49:10Z

I always dreamed about having an alien friend... Too bad I have accidentally killed him, and caused an alien invasion.

Then I played Responsibility, and it is a cute little game ;)

KITAL: The Weight Of Survival by Battlerager 2020-04-22T17:13:42Z

It is an interesting concept for a puzzle game, however I kinda disliked combat (maybe because I was bad at it).

Plant Rescuer by Haukur Sigurdarson 2020-04-21T19:02:16Z

I don't think I am sure how the "heart" meter works, but besides that it's pretty functional game.

Fatter by axeltherabbit 2020-04-27T19:25:00Z

If we want videogames to be treated like a serious works of art, we need to have games that push the envelope, and move the medium in uncharted and sometimes uncomfortable territory. Games like Silent Hill 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Witcher 3 or Fatter.

Fatter is a game about inherently human experience - eating junk food and farting, while avoiding disgusting vegetables like broccoli. While at the first glance it might seem as "dumb" or "primitive" it is, in fact, an accurate depiction of what most of the humanity was doing during 2020's pandemic.

And let me tell you - Metal Gear Solid 2 was also misunderstood after its launch.

I love it.

VITAL 2020 by bflatinteractive 2020-04-21T21:16:05Z

Fits the theme nicely, I also kinda liked that unsettling atmosphere. Especially audio

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Escape! by burnedkirby 2020-10-12T13:47:49Z

I'm a big fan of metroidvanias, so I've enjoyed it very much, even though it was a little bit little basic. Music was really nice. But I'm not sure whether it fits theme you're aiming for.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, I want a spooky 2D sci-fi metroidvania/system shock mix, so maybe make one for me!

Circular Dependencies by Potti 2020-10-06T20:46:43Z

I liked the fact, that for a jam game, it still has some pretty complex systems. I liked the way this game kept on opening itself to me. Really solid entry!

Lyza's Knot by William Derksen 2020-10-10T10:43:19Z

That was super spooky, and I loved that. The game over animation gave me chills, and reminded me of Alien: Isolation. Super cool game!

Loop Guy by LarrySeinfeld 2020-10-10T11:32:07Z

"His name is Frederiiick and he’s got a big, thick.... Body"

They had us in the first half, not gonna lie. Overall, super cool and creative concept!

Office Life, the Work-Life Balance Simulator by Krapht 2020-10-08T21:08:12Z

The "pick up" recognition didn't worked for me. Also, I've hard-locked myself on 2 stage =) It would be cool, if "retry" button restarted stage, not the entire game. It's a shame, because I think, that this game holds a lot of potential

A Monster Hunter Story by Aljon 2020-10-10T16:32:19Z

That was unbelievably tight game! I've got strong "Edge of Tomorrow"/"Groundhog Day" vibe. Everything was perfect, shooting satisfying, and storytelling superb. I want more!

Reactor Cycles by Dock Frankenstein 2020-10-12T12:57:17Z

I think, that there might be a fun game buried somewhere in this, but unfortunately what you have delivered does very poor job of explaining itself. For example, I have no idea how much time I have felt before meltodown. In addition to loop counter, there should be a timer showing, how much bloody time I have left.

And it's a huge shame, because I can see a lot of loving labour being put into other elements. Like graphics or building the atmosphere.

Meth'a Loop by TeiNRee 2020-10-06T21:01:11Z

Interesting game, however the pressure, speed and fuel controls seem to glitch out, and I could not close their menu :(

Dead Hand by Kszaku 2020-10-10T11:01:10Z

@squidzilla haha, thank you! Finding out your name was really simple, I just used your Windows username. "Dead Hand" is actually a reference to actual of automatic retaliation systems, that were deployed by USSR, USA and UK... But also the game was heavily inspired by Dr. Strangelove =)

Dead Hand by Kszaku 2020-10-10T16:54:53Z

@theogen haha, well I finished uploading this game like 10 minutes before deadline, so bugs are indeed expected. Thanks for feedback, I'm happy you've liked it ;)

SentIO by simon.parzer 2020-10-10T17:31:55Z

Wooow! That was super cool. You might enjoy my games as well. I really like games, that break the 4th wall =)

NiGHTMXRE by DanyVk 2020-10-06T21:39:57Z

That kinda reminds me of P.T, which on one hand is super sad, because we will never play that game again, but on the other - hey, we still have your game.

Sound is superb, audio tracks gave me chills!

Jerry.IsDead by Natw 2020-10-10T15:54:58Z

Umm... I'm not entirely sure, whether your game works correctly. Or maybe it just has not explained itself. I try to drag and drop different commands from the inventory, but it does not seem to have any effect whatsoever.

Also timeline is only visible on the first run - then it disappears.

Could you explain it to me (or maybe better - place "How to play" section somewhere)?

Duck In A Loop by Matt Lewis 2020-10-06T20:29:52Z

I liked that more than I predicted, lol2. Physics were a bit wonky at times, but it is a jam game, and some glitches are ought to happen. I can imagine you having as much fun making that, as I was playing =)

Loop Wave by Skvader_418 2020-10-05T21:52:23Z

Basic gameplay loop seems interesting, sorta like a gun game mode in CoD. I also liked the spooky night mode.

Hellish Job by Ray Himmel 2020-10-05T22:12:13Z

If I got this correctly, this is a satire of working in a boring, repetitive job (with a bit of Greek mythology throw in for a good measure), and such theming is right my alley, lol. Graphics and audio captured the mood perfectly, there seems to be glitch, however, because the button prompts shown up even while I wasn't pushing the stone.

(Nu) Da Drum by Trexxak 2020-10-10T11:20:26Z

One of more original entries. There must have been some magic behind all of these window transitions, lol

Justin Time by pandepic 2020-10-05T21:43:39Z

Sooo... That game made me weirdly nostalgic for Half-Life: Opposing Force (single military grunt taking on monsters that infested research facility... Yeah, sounds like Opposing Force), which is good thing I guess =)

Other that that, it is a cool game. There is super cool concept for a rougelite in that, if you are willing to keep working on that. One more thing - game crashed on me, when I tried to change audio settings. Could you fix that, and ping me? I would love to play that with sound on!

Justin Time by pandepic 2020-10-05T22:22:19Z

@pandepic thanks, you were right lol. I will change ma rating accordingly

Donuts On Donuts by SlimmerBurger 2020-10-05T21:39:32Z

I liked it! The graphics were nice, and audio was really charming. It was kinda easy to crash into banana, but lol, I am not even mad.

A100P by ItsIsaac 2020-10-10T10:33:47Z

The robot model is super cute! Super interesting concept of affecting protagonist indirectly.

Stuck in a Loop by Lena Taylor 2020-10-05T21:58:09Z

Killed my enemies by doot-dooting 'em to the death 10/10

But seriously, weapons are kinda random. Also most enemies didn't responded to my presence, which was weird.

Welcome to Station Alpha by Theo Ratkin 2020-10-10T17:10:46Z

Interesting idea, I liked that! I would like to play a puzzle game centred around idea of solving puzzles (or gathering clues), and timing that with metro schedule (Idk, maybe there could be some dar, lovercraftianesque force following protagonist). Only thing that annoyed me was the music, I don't think it fitted the game well. But anyway - cool game ;)

BL0CK by GregoryBlomquist 2020-10-06T21:19:33Z

Oh, man, creepy, corrupted by evil forces, that are beyond human comprehension 8 bit games are right my alley.

Time Wizard by DracoSense 2020-10-10T10:05:20Z

Sorry, but the game is completely unplayable in its current state (I am on Windows 10). It was crashing constantly for me.

Resurrection by etrealjunior 2020-10-08T20:48:17Z

Nice utilization of theme! I am kinda not onboard with graphics, but its just me thing. Cool game

Orbital Delivery Service by Thibaud 2020-10-05T22:39:04Z

I liked the idea, I think you should experiment with coop mode, it would fit into that perfectly.

ok by TradingBooch12 2020-10-12T13:37:17Z

Okay, so updating Java to its latest version made the game finally work for me (from simply double-clicking jar file). I would recommend putting info about minimum required java version somewhere in the description, it would make getting this thing to run less frustrating.

And unfortunately, there isn't all that much to say about the game itself. It's very basic shooter, that neatly fits theme, I'll give you that, but there is little in a way of challenge or progression. Simple addition of "enemies" speeding up with passage of time, would give it a bit o challenge. Great job of writing it all in pure java though.

Quota by mrosegreen 2020-10-10T10:53:42Z

I spent 8 hours typing nonsense on a keyboard. Then I came home, and started playing Quota, it is a fun little game, about typing nonsense on a keyboard

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

TorNado by Igor KinGamer 2021-05-16T11:04:17Z

Kinda neat, i Liked how objects far away from me were kinda transparent, created nice depth of view effect

Tic-Tac-Run! by mvasko2 2021-05-02T12:33:52Z

The game is fun, and works correctly, however there is not that much to it

Nuclear Arms 8: Navigate the Hate by Logicon211 2021-04-28T21:08:40Z

First of all - HOLY SH*T, ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY, THAT THERE ARE *8* NUCLEAR ARMS GAMES ALREADY? You have my respect just for that, and god damn am I going to spend my Saturday night playing them.

Other than that... Well I never would have thought, that I will be using "its like Inside Out met Quake", but well, here we are. I love playing game, and getting the feeling, that its developers had as much (if not more) fun making it, as I did. Great job!

Lo Fishing by luizdev 2021-04-27T21:33:11Z

Really relaxing game, good job :)

Red Stranding by Alchemic 2021-04-27T19:53:54Z

That is the first strand type game I have ever played during LDJAM xD It really seems like a cool idea, finding a ladder already attached to wall, while wolves were chasing me, made me really appreciate whoever placed it there before lol

Great job!

Challenger SUB by digitaldude555 2021-05-02T10:51:26Z

It is a pretty cool concept for a game, i really liked kinda "tactical" feel of combat. Hope you will keep on working on this :)

NO SIGNAL by olaron 2021-04-27T21:26:25Z

It was superb audiovisual experience! I really enjoyed the way, you played with light and different effects, also how well music was paced. Well done

Get to the choppa! by cvetk0 2021-04-29T20:30:18Z

I have really enjoyed this! And I would love to play a longer version of your game - maybe some metroidvania? I was surprised with its heart-warming tone. In your world everybody does not seem to have a problem with helping one another. Maybe there is a lesson in your game? :)

L.D. Noire: Down the Rabbit Hole by testuser 2021-04-29T20:18:23Z

That was pretty fun and deep, now I am ready to start my own youtube channel, and put Alex Jones out from his business

Crab Game by jellycakes 2021-04-27T20:24:33Z

First of all, if you want people to play your game, you need to deliver an executable. Source code is all nice and well, but without build tools nobody will be able to play your game.

Other than that... Well it is kinda bare-bones, just as you said. Movement seems to work alright, so game is functional, unfortunately as I said, there is almost no content.

Guardians of the Facility by cireneikual222464 2021-04-29T16:41:07Z

The environments and creature designs were a highlights for me as well. I hope you will keep on working on that :)

DeBlockhas by Sode 2021-04-28T21:38:29Z

Cool game, however movement felt kinda... janky? Precise corrections to my course were impossible, because my cube moved, like it was glued to a grid. It could be improved on, and you definitely should do just that.

Into the Storm by Vladadamm 2021-04-28T21:45:27Z

Wow, it is really impressive that you implemented a convincing flight model! However, I kinda wished for some checkpoint system, or a way to skip these (pretty cool) cutscenes.

Deep Breath by Eduardo Scheffler 2021-04-28T20:24:52Z

Clever usage of theme, and an interesting concept for unlimited runner type of game. Also, graphics were really nice, however I kinda disliked the way you integrated audio. The music (while good itself) was kinda breaking the mood for me, dire circumstances the astronaut found themself in could use some dark ambience.

A Trial For Azathoth by TheFoppian 2021-04-28T21:31:58Z

I liked the how light and dark played played with themselves, however it is rougelike, that I am sure will be enjoyable, once you will put more work into it

Deeper into Carnage by Zelberor 2021-04-27T21:00:07Z

it was a pretty decent shooter, even if movement was a bit janky. I wish you kept on working on that game!

Dig the socials by badabooom63 2021-04-27T15:51:35Z

Now this is the kind of experience I am looking in LD games for! The creativity just bursts out from every ounce of your game.

I don't wanna spoil anything, but let me say this - I really appreciated your game, really good job!

Deeper Sleep Beta by Kszaku 2021-04-26T22:52:24Z

@untitled-studios hey, what do you mean by stopped working? Did it crashed?

Deeper Sleep Beta by Kszaku 2021-04-26T23:00:48Z

@untitled-studios then it kinda does like there is a problem. I'll look into it, thanks for giving me the heads up

Deeper Sleep Beta by Kszaku 2021-04-27T15:25:50Z

@untitled-studios @legolula @thearchitect could you tell me what version of Windows are you using?

Monday by Dobrila 2021-05-03T11:29:34Z

Your pixel art style is super cool and nice, I especially liked all of those small touches, like a face mask on player character, or his suitcase attack animation.

Gameplay is fine enough, I only hope you build on that aspect a bit, because right now it is kinda basic. And... I kinda found music to be breaking mood of your game.

The Rabbit Hole by NuclearRedeye 2021-05-02T08:43:49Z

>building a Raycasting engine in TypeScript

that is a respectable amount of dedication. I mean, LDJAM kinda is about testing your creativity and skills as a game developer. Some people did their best in areas like game design, graphics and level design, you did something incredible with engine programming and optimization.

Fractal Finder by VD-15 2021-04-26T22:40:40Z

Fractals always amaze me, and it is a really good topic for a game themed around going deeper and deeper.

Also - your game kinda looks... Gorgeous. And I am not only talking about fractals themself, the colours, animations - all of it is really nice to look at.

Turn of the Tide by Polyethyleneglykol 2021-04-28T20:39:32Z

I really like the idea of playing as a small spec-team group in a large battle, that kinda can go on regardless of player's input. I really wish, that you continue developing you game, I could even pledge in some cash for full release :)

Turn of the Tide by Polyethyleneglykol 2021-04-28T22:36:20Z

@polyethyleneglykol yeeeah, creating battles in ArmA/Operation Flashpoint's editor was my jam too, lmao. I also liked battlefield's bot matches for that :)

Congratulations, Debt! by Thinh 2021-05-03T12:18:31Z

Sequel idea - trying to balance sustaining a family and paying off the debt, while working entry - level job, that requires 6 years of experience :)

Pretty cool entry, I loved the commentary!

Cecil & Dawson Asylum by AdamWatters 2021-05-03T12:03:01Z

Your writing is pretty good, I never had the "wtf is happening" moment, that so often happens in poorly written text based games. Also music fits in soo well.

ONI by Daniel Whittaker 2021-04-28T20:18:38Z

I liked reading notes, and piecing together what I've had to do. Also portals looked amazing :)

Gone Dark by Theg 2021-04-28T21:24:38Z

The concept seems fine, and I really would like to play it more, but... The game runs really slow on my machine. And while certainly not a performance demon, I could get Doom 2016 to run in stable 60FPS, without sacrificing that much of graphical fidelity.

It seems, like the purple fog effect is chugging it so much. I mean, we're talking abot single digit FPS numbers

They Hear You by SakuH 2021-04-26T23:28:09Z

As those above me stated, there is a great concept there, and I would love to play fuller version of that game.

I liked the game boy classic's colour pallet tho :)

Infini-Digger by theArchitect 2021-04-27T16:05:36Z

This seems like an interesting concept, and I would like to see, where you will take that.

Alien Abyss by Tom Stephenson 2021-04-26T22:51:01Z

Its that type of game that makes me feel I had made that. Nicely done!

Frog by cacciatc 2021-04-26T22:30:27Z

Now that... Was cool.

Mad respects for going that long and twisted road of making a goddamn NES rom. All about this game brings joy to my jaded heart. Art, music, the fact, that all of that fits into 385KB! Damn, my game is just text and screens, and it exceed 20MB!

And, the game was fun. Good job!

Into the Abyss (Deeper and Deeper) by JoskerDu 2021-05-03T12:10:27Z

It looks really good, I love your style!

Descending by mr forty two 2021-05-16T11:08:43Z

LmaoI really liked that, it was really creative entry. I hope you can find a way to jam in some crazy particle effects, and increased overall speed of the game. This has the potential to become "think on your feet" kinda game. The only flaw I noticed, is that its too easy to put yourself in situation where there is no way, but to take a hit.

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-05-02T09:06:17Z

I have super mixed feelings about your game. On the bright side, idea of making "realistic" submarine controls makes the game more immersive, which is the good thing. But on the other hand, UI design is just confusing, game seems to bombard me with information, without any explanation what does any of that mean. And I get that UI design is super hard, and jam's time limitation does not make that any easier, but... You had the time to implement localization in English and Portuguese, which is commendable, but also kinda makes me wish, that you spend more time on polishing the rough edges of the gameplay and presentation.

I also did not really liked your music choice. I would prefer some underwater ambience, the track that plays in main menu before music kicks in would be fine.

Lunar Laundry by FloGames 2021-04-29T20:41:39Z

>you have to collect laundry >its all socks

perfect. Also I was surprised, that there actually is an ending. Pretty funny one too. Good game!

The Naked Truth by LALAKI7 2021-04-28T19:54:51Z

I've reached the naked truth, and here it is - your game is gorgeous to look (I was surprised on noticing that you have added screenshot button - "why?" I wondered before diving in), hear and play. It actually felt like a meditation, and you have reminded me, that I've been skipping my yoga practise recently.

Deep Drive by Ahmed Hamdi 2021-05-02T12:41:13Z

Well... I am not going to doubt the amount of work you definitely put in that game, but still, its a mess. I don't really get how it fits into theme (maybe riding deeper into that cave?), and I have found music to be kinda annoying, however I have found car models funny, and it seems like you had fun creating them.

QuackWell by DizztRC 2021-04-26T22:15:37Z

First of all, I understand that your game is best experienced on the controller, it would be nice to provide keyboard instructions too.

Overall pretty cool concept for a game, I liked Donald Duck's voices of the main character (aaaaah, the childhood nostalgia). Also concept of dashing toward bombs to disarm them created pretty interesting game loop, once I figured that out.

The Deeper The Deadlier by EPU 2021-05-02T09:18:23Z

I almost gave up on the second level, when I could not pick up my gun, because I was pushing it away, which is one of many physics related problems this game has. Also, I dont really get why you could not just reload scene after failure, so I could try again, it seems like such an obvious thing in a game, where you die so fast.

Other than that, it seems like fine side scrolling shooter. And actually I liked running for my gun, while being chased by enemies, it made for interesting tension - when it worked obviously.

The Deeper The Deadlier by EPU 2021-05-02T18:16:15Z

@fredripper2077 you know, I am talking from my own point of view. For me, repeating entire game because of an mistake seems... Punishing. And I cant find a good reason to justify that in context of your game.

In other terms - consider how failure states are implemented in Resident Evil 2, and its 2019 remake. In original RE2 combat is kinda easy, but failure is heavily punished, as player is pushed back to main menu, and you can save your game only in specified locations, using heavily limited item.

On the other hand in RE2 from 2019 combat is wayy heavier, but player is not punished for failing in combat challenge - you are usually pushed back only a little bit, and game loads itself almost in an instant.

And I think, that your game does both. Combat is skill based and difficult, and failure is heavily punished. I dont really enjoy being pushed back to start, only to fail at a challenge few levels in.

Reaching Under by Incredible Potato Kids 2021-05-02T10:25:40Z

a fun challenge idea - [play this while drunk or high](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MzabFEpP4o).

But seriously, really fun experience, I love how this requires to split attention between tasks. Every element just works greatly in tandem with anything else.

DEPTHS OF THE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX by pierogo 2021-04-27T21:50:34Z

First of all, you should look into applying some PS1-styled shader. Your game has that retro horror vibe, and PS1 is well known for badass horror games.

Other than that, you have on your hands a pretty cool FPP platformer concept, and I cant wait till I see where you'll take it :)

Car Go Fast! by SuperSackBoy 2021-04-26T23:33:31Z

I have a medical condition called "stupid sense of humour", therefore I have found your game really funny.

Deeper and Deeper in the Woods by Mizatorian 2021-04-26T23:23:04Z

Hey, congrats on your first jam game!

Really cool, that you have made all the assets. Maybe game was a bit short, but it is a game nevertheless :)

Deep Forest by Hjorthen 2021-05-16T11:28:50Z

I can't shake off the impression, that flamethrower should have longer area of attack, and should deal more damage overall. In its current state i don't see it as an useful weapon... Which is a far cry from "grenades", or as I like to call them - nuclear mortars.

Overall, I can see a lot of potential in combat system you have built for that game.

Ahhh, man, this really made me nostalgic for my internship at some big-ass company... Where they were asking me to sort their paperwork over and over again.

10/10 really captures the feeling

Jokes aside, this is really well made game.

I love the atmosphere... It felt like just a small battle in this doomed world.

Nuclear Arms 8.5er: Skeleton Survivor by Logicon211 2022-04-11T21:47:01Z

Ah yes, classical game franchises: Resident Evil, Half-Life, Doom and Nuclear Arms :D

Honestly, it was crazy fun. I loved how overpowered it made me feel at the end. And loved the twist!

Evacuation of Zorkid by SIGILL 2022-04-07T15:39:34Z

A really interesting game. I will definitely return to that one once the jam ends, great job :)

That was really unexpected and cool. I love how you played with theme, and the imagination behind the challenges.

Significant Other(s) by vilix64 2022-04-11T21:09:17Z

Not to brag, but it is pretty realistic 😏😂

In all honesty - amazing concept! It is that type of creativity I love about Ludum Dare submissions. I hope you can expand that concept, let me play as a real Tinder Swindler!

Starline Rescue Squad by tigerj 2022-04-06T16:27:45Z

Ooof man, the controls are something else. It felt like no matter how hard I tried, my ship goes wherever it wants. I liked the music, but its hard to enjoy your game when it controls like that.

Spooky Gothic Siege by Kszaku 2022-04-04T23:42:06Z

@quinn-patrick uuum, I could have not communicated the roles of the specific units properly. MG nest sprays its bullets, and those bullets dont do much damage, yes. But every time zombie is hit with one of them it moves a bit slower for a time, which in turn makes snipers job easier.

You should use machine gunners as a support for snipers, not as a replacement. I have updated itch.io page with more specific instructions :)

Spooky Gothic Siege by Kszaku 2022-04-05T16:12:49Z

@lisyarus they are necromancers xD Yeah, I've been thinking about some visual feedback system, but was short on time. Same story with their spawns, I've had a couple of ideas, but those would surely introduce some bugs, and as I said, there was no time to polish it out. Maybe in a post-jam release :)

Hymenoptera King by Skleembof 2022-04-12T16:22:52Z

The graphics were amazing, I really dig the PS1 style. I was however kinda confused about my goal as a player, but I figured it out eventually.

Overall, I am terrified of hornets, 10/10 would experience the terror again!

Climate Crisis by Wilko 2022-04-05T00:17:08Z

First of all - these EAS tones spook the hell out of me. Oooh, the good old days of youtube EAS/EBS mockups...

Anyway, I like your concept, and I wish to play a full game (if it ever comes to that), however, I think what we have here deserves some fair criticism:

1) I know you have made balancing on the last minute, but resource mines are not unbalanced, those are broken. I have been able to stop taxation really early, because I had all the money I could have wanted. Maybe mines could have larger carbon footprint?

2) It was surprisingly easy to suck all the CO2 from the atmosphere. At some point, I've had so much money, that I could basically go back to building oil rigs with little consequence.

3) Disasters are a great concept, because those provide to spend money on preparedness.. Too bad hospitals, police and fire departments are dirt cheap. Also, IMO not all of them should be tied to carbon footprint- I do not see the reason, that tsunami could not hit us anytime. Destruction of infrastructure would have added more challenge.

As I said, I really liked the concept, and would love to play it more, even just to see how much more I can broke it lol :)

Great job!

ResQ by marrs 2022-04-04T22:24:34Z

A simple concept, that fits theme well. I like how you use the scale of the "bombs" to show how far they are from detonating. I disliked the audio, however. I see where you were going with that, but I wish you used more "realistic" sounds.

Running Late by 3LSTMsInATrenchcoat 2022-04-06T16:39:13Z

I loved that! It seemed like there was a ton of moving parts, every intractable object seemed to put a sequence of events in motion. So many ways to achieve my goals, reminded me of the first time I was playing Metal Gear Solid 3, and that is a high prise. Great job!

Float the Boat by Fractal Flower Girl 2022-04-11T20:58:05Z

I have never before seen a jam game made in Scratch! It's doubly funny, because I have used to teach kids how to code in it, lol.

Your game might be simple, but its cool, I especially loved the graphics - are those hand-drawn?

Aliens...S by real_flamingicecubegames 2022-04-05T16:03:38Z

Graphics were nice, and it seems like they took priority over gameplay, because the latter is severely lacking. It was kinda frustrating to not be able to see my ship's health, and the "suicide" enemies seemed to be a little to fast.

However, as I said, pixelart was perfect, it really felt like some NES game, and if you could fix the balance and build some interesting levels it could be more enjoyable and challenging experience.

The Root of All Evil by DV_company 2022-04-19T16:09:22Z

Great job, I like application of that theme.

The Last Stand by Idontgetit1 2022-04-04T22:33:13Z

I absolutely loved that game! Graphics and sound were cool, and the concept is amazing in its simplicity and elegance. If I could suggest anything - and an option of cooperative play! It would made for an amazing couch coop experience :D

Under Performer by Allax 2022-04-10T16:09:34Z

A solid game with a ton of variety. Funny, how all of those QTE's felt just as annoying as real office chores :)

OverPill by SamBurton 2022-04-04T22:40:27Z

It was pretty funny, and graphics look amazing, but I feel like randomization kinda screwed me up. Anyway, pretty cool game!

48 Hours Later by x000000 2022-04-04T23:06:09Z

Pretty addictive game :) And the random seed feature gives it an amazing replayability. Great job!

ZomBonk by Skull King 2022-04-13T21:39:31Z

There was a ton of little things I enjoyed (like the cheeky zombie hand in the main menu), and atmosphere was top notch, however combat is gonna need some work, because it is rather jank right now. Cool game, mate!

Don't Look Up by Lix3nn 2022-04-05T16:10:24Z

That was surprisingly challenging game. I kinda wish there was some kind of laser designation, because it was not easy to judge where the rocket is going to hit. Cool game anyway.
