My biggest gripe is that the units are really weak. I saved up for the machine gun nest, and he just sprayed bullets at random until he died. He didn't kill a single zombie! The sound and atmosphere is great, though, and the animations are smooth. Good job.

The target is a little small but other than that good game :)!

@quinn-patrick uuum, I could have not communicated the roles of the specific units properly. MG nest sprays its bullets, and those bullets dont do much damage, yes. But every time zombie is hit with one of them it moves a bit slower for a time, which in turn makes snipers job easier.

You should use machine gunners as a support for snipers, not as a replacement. I have updated itch.io page with more specific instructions :)

Pretty good! Reached far! I think it needs some kind of huge boss to kill you once you get a ton of snipers and machine guns. Its awesome!!

almost hit 1k kills come on! pretty captivating game, performant too.

A very nice, addictive game! Wish hitting the zombie queens (no idea how to call them) showed some effect, since at first I though they're invincible. Spawning 3 queens on one side at early game seems a bit harsh, maybe that needs some balancing. Other than that, great job!

Very nice game overall! Although it is a bit hard to hit the small targets. Nice use of the Theme.

@lisyarus they are necromancers xD Yeah, I've been thinking about some visual feedback system, but was short on time. Same story with their spawns, I've had a couple of ideas, but those would surely introduce some bugs, and as I said, there was no time to polish it out. Maybe in a post-jam release :)

Played this for way to long, well done! Congrats on a solid entry.

Fun game, really fun. Keep building on it!

It was hard to play with my 60% keyboard  It's surprisingly addictive, would love to see more polished version. Had fun!

Once you figureout the blue ones spawn other zombies it gets a bit easier lol. It's a nice game, really addictive, really got the "I can do better" kinda mechanic. really liked it

Lovely little defense game. As others have said it's addicting. I think being able to kill multiple zombies with a single shot if they're stacked on each other would feel better, though at the expense of making it easier hahahaha. Great game for how minimalist it is.

Simple yet very fun.

I really like the zombie death animations. The game could use a bit more juice but other than that this is great.

Great game, loved the gun noises.

Cool game, reminds me of old flash games. Great job!

zimny11 2022-04-13 23:16

Nice game! The music sounds awesome. My only suggestion would be to choose different buttons for buying units (function keys are not the best for this). Anyway, it was fun to play, good job!

skleembof 2022-04-14 22:59

That was really hard but fun! I liked how it felt like the units were there to support you and that the game still required you to shoot zombies even if you had units on the ground. I think the balancing needs work, but so does every other game made in 72 hours. The music and sound effects created a creepy atmosphere and the graphics especially the zombies and the blood effect looked cool.

Cool game! As others have said, I wish the units you bought had a little more impact. I thought I was playing much better the second time around and the units didn't really feel like they made that much of a difference in how long I survived. Good fitting of the theme though!
