I liked the tiny crowd and bleachers.
I like the gentle clockwise orbit.
The visual style is great. More games need dismembered fists--those were cracking me up.
That was fun. I would definitely be interested in playing a fleshed out version.
I like the teleporter animation and that whale.
I like the feel of the graphics, but it is indeed sometimes to hard differentiate the hazards.
Nice visual style. "Get friends and eat alligator ham" made me laugh.
The collision between the tank and gold cubes makes a satisfying sound.
Nice music and sound effects.
+1 GB palette. Great visual feel.
I enjoyed the beam sound effect. It sounds like a sedated Beaker from the Muppets.
Thanks to everyone who has played and left comments. Still trying to figure out the source of the crashes which I can reproduce on my Mac, but not my windows box.
What a deadly camera-take a picture and people blow up! Good job, most unique game I have played yet.
Who knew that hearts were such good swimmers?!
Game plays great. I like the look of the antibodies.
Maybe I missed it, but the ability to end time rather than waiting it out would be awesome. I like the creature descriptions.
At first I thought the pirate was a ladybug. I like the overhead view of the pirate ship.
Good job with the map reveal mechanics and the fast-pace cat action is fun.
The text-boxes that pop up when you pass a sign are too big and make it hard to see your bacteria. Other than that, neat idea, I enjoyed playing it.
Definitely an impressive amount of content. I laughed at the Gentleman having "too much money".
Strong music and I enjoyed the visual style.
A bullet animation would be cool. I like the look of those clouds.
This was great. I stand by my choice of Beaver milk!
On Mac OS the game freezes once I enter the house. The same thing happens when using the Unity Web Player. What I saw and hear before the freezes looks good though.
That was fun and I enjoyed the plot. Always remember kids, when you're walking down the street--a fissure may suddenly open!
Nice visual style. Interesting approach with # of pixels = health.
Great visual style. I was startled the first time I died! Didn't expect all that pixel blood.
What are the creatures I am fighting here? Nice game. Us slime games have to stick together!
A lot of fun. Took me a minute or two before I realized, "Oh, you can upgrade buildings"
Nice touches with environment interaction (desk movement, and being able to throw trash cans).
Great humor here. I laughed when I received the "Jumper". At that very moment I was thinking--"why the hell can't I jump!"
I enjoyed this game. The clouds were a little distracting since they moved too fast. A shutter sound for the camera would be a nice addition.
I liked the look of the trees. The flute was a fun dynamic as well.
Ran on Mac OS fine for me. Nice background tiles.
Nice. I like Jesus's yellow propellent pixy dust.
Nice ghost effects on Richard. Fun stuff.
Seems to be a bug where I pick up bags, but then can't use them. I like the magenta hell-fire from whence the zombies emerge! "Magenta Hell-fire" will now be the name of my next game.
I like how his eyes light up whenever you fire.
Best game by far! I got off the planet, but lost the doctor. Curses. I spent most of my morning playing this game. You guys did an awesome job.
Best use of the theme I have seen so far.
"And I like that it's over in 5 minutes because I have 1700+ games to get through...."
That may be the best comment I've seen on a game here :)
Nice soundy things. I am also glad for your 12 year old self. There should be a judging category for that.
Great entry. The transitions within the a level are a little too jerky and nauseating over time. Something smoother would make me mind less every time I die! Of course, I could just stop dying too.... :)
Nice entry. I like the effect of the clinging foliage.
The scenery seems like your underwater--and I like underwater. The resting animation is a nice touch too.
Sometimes the death animation gets stuck in an infinite loop it seems. That double jump animation is pretty sweet!
Slick running animation.
Occasionally when I push a pixel I would get stuck in it. I like the concept; a sound effect for the 3 pixel match would be cool. It would make me feel special.
The visibility square really makes it work.
This was fun. A dodge-ball like mechanic could be cool for co-op. Where if your teammate hits 5 blue tiles in a row without dying you can bring them back...or something like that.
Man, that double jump on 5 is tricky!
Solid game. :)
Bouncing off the walls was a lot of fun. Having the bridge toll collected by an old man in a flying saucer was a refreshing change from the tired old troll gimmick. :)
Nicely polished. That is one good looking Hydra!
My annihilation button did nothing on Windows 8, but I thoroughly enjoyed interacting and reading all the dialogue. Nice job.
The kelp/seaweed effect on the walls and ground is great.
Definitely a good challenge. I like the surrounding blocks on the edges. It's a cool effect.
Great feel and soundtrack!
Just what are those white death bars made of? Nice entry.
Thanks. Yeah, the bots can be tricky. One strategy to slow down the bots is to push the buoys away.
+1 For the start jingle. Good catch phrase too:
"1 man, 1 life, 1 weapon, 1 mission: survive"
That was surprisingly entertaining.
So many awesome touches!
@LostTrainDude - I used abundant music.
Who knew dialing a phone could be so much fun.
The world transitions are pretty slick. :)
Wow.
Great idea and use of the theme.
This is the way art galleries should be in rl.
Some of those levels are tricky. :)
This was a lot of fun and hard!
Nice entry. Controlling the two characters gets tricky!
I like the ray tracer effect and the zoom in feature.
Awesome entry!
Getting the timing right to accuse/question could be annoyingly tricky. Fun game and a logic puzzle to boot!
Demuffinated! Solid entry.
Once I got hang of the controls I got into this.
Nice blood splattering :)
Great details with the animations.
Really neat environment. I like the soul-harvesting-to-get-ammo-for-shooting dynamic.
Nice. That gets pretty hard all of a sudden!
In other news, thanks for playing my entry till the end.
My kind of gardening--whacking things with a shovel :)
A lot of walking, but the view was great. Also thanks for the PSA I was wondering why that was the case with Chrome.
Really great effects--I especially like the trees.
10 pts for NES cartridge art!
That was entertaining!
I liked the GUI and info screen. Cool entry.
+1 for pithy name!
I thought the cones were cloth-lines at first. :) This is a great entry. I need to check out PIC08 too.
First game this comp that I laughed out loud. Nice!
Best use of the themes I've played so far!
I got 644! I don't remember seeing the control documented anywhere. Maybe add those to the game description?
Always fun to play a pico8 entry!
Definitely, the most unique entry I have played so far.
This was fun!
This aesthetic is fun. I need to try a couple more runs, can't get past 40%!
Ha, love the shops. Too cute. Great vibes.
Game soft-locked on me upon entering a shop on 1 of myy playthroughs. I think I was still holding up and the action button maybe?
Slick animations and overall a cool feel. Nice work.
Oooo some nice Lost Vikings game-play here. I thought the taglines for the characters were pretty great too. Nice work!
The NES master of the light/dark world mechanic returns! I was stumped for the longest time til I realized you can scroll to another screen! Nice work, I am enjoying this one.
Great vibes! Everything gels together real well.
The jetpack movement felt good. Solid entry :)
The wall jump felt good, which is not always easy to get right!
Impressive! Solid movement. Good mood. :)
I wish (and this could just be me not being very good) that I had a little bit of hang time after taking my finger off the jetpak button for maneuverability and more time to fire at baddies.
Nice job with the dual-purpose controls for deploying the crane and shooting lasers.
I chuckled with the pickup animation sequence :) Movement felt good. One thing I would like is to either have the sentry bots either insta-kill me on detection *or* make it so that the laser beams are move avoidable so I have a chance to still live after being detected. I feel right now it's in this middle ground where my death upon being detected is just drawn out and that is a little frustrating.
Ha, there are a couple really cool touches here. I like the idea of the camera zoom being limited with a power meter and I also like the trap door mechanic. Sometimes it felt like the rabbit's detection cone was a little bigger than pictured. All around nice job!
I really enjoyed this one. Well executed!
A breath of fresh air. I was smiling the whole time :) I would have liked for the bad thoughts/squiggly lines to have a slightly smaller collision box, but other than that great entry!
KABOOM! I love how death cannot stop the dynomite. Fun SFX. :)
This is surprisingly addicting. Well done!
Those snakes!
Enjoyed this one even though it turns out that I am horrible at bouncing! Also love that lil critters anim. walk cycle.
