LD46 — Keep it alive

Eggcelerate by TimBeaudet 2020-04-21T12:18:25Z

Super fun. Love that the eggs from previous runs remain on the track!

BÅL by Ava Skoog 2020-04-23T10:52:00Z

Cozy.

JarHeads by Aurel300 2020-04-21T13:10:27Z

Probably the best game I've played so far. Great idea, tight gameplay and seemingly super polished. Love it.

Sheepdog by ChatPion 2020-04-23T17:57:45Z

Nice idea, but kinda frustrating at times. :P I barked for immersion.

Friday at Barney's by AnaGF 2020-04-21T23:23:43Z

This was really entertaining! Some way to skip scenes you've already seen after you fail would've been nice, though. Love the art, and the short story was inventive!

the Early Worm by alec 2020-04-21T22:37:26Z

This is so neat. The accordion thing is genius. The controls never really 'click', but that just adds to the game. Great work!

Chicken Shuffle by helpcomputer 2020-04-23T19:23:21Z

Fun, arcadey game with awesome graphics & music! It was a bit unclear at the start as to what was what on the field, but you figure it out fast. Great job!

Doctor Triwing by saint-nectare 2020-04-23T18:19:22Z

This was quite fun! I failed a few times at first (I didn't realize that you had to turn on the power supply), but finally got it. A bit short, but I really liked what's there! Chuckled at the sound effect when opening the cartridge. ;)

Volty's Quest by Casey Macneil 2020-04-24T14:39:05Z

Wow! This truly is a super polished and well made game. Great graphics, great audio. The difficulty ramps up perfectly, with the last level requiring you to be fast and to think fast. I sincerely hope that you keep developing this post-jam, as I would love to play some levels where the difficulty ramps up even further!

It would've been nice with a couple of frames of leeway where you can still jump after touching the ground, though. Maybe there's some sort of input delay in the web player, but I often fell off of platforms where I felt that I had actually pressed jump.

Blind-O-Saur by Gaz_Ireland 2020-04-23T19:13:25Z

I kept jumping on the key in the end and gained infinite points! Nice art & music! It was super loud, though. Good job!

Goldsmith by Nocity 2020-04-21T18:32:43Z

I really liked this. Short but polished!

Seven Nights in Siberia by Gus Goucher 2020-04-21T23:04:29Z

Nice art, great atmosphere.

campfire by jonah 2020-04-22T11:16:29Z

Simple, yet addictive. Fun idea & solid execution!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deeper & Deeper: Attorneys at Law by NvrSkipGameDay 2021-04-27T10:42:47Z

I loved this. Well made and the short story was fun. I think I got the true ending... ;)

Transitions and animations during conversations felt super polished. I liked being able to scroll through previous dialogs, although it felt kinda buggy at times.

All in all, great work! Impressive.

What's Under Base 69? by Phobos001 2021-04-29T13:49:51Z

I was thinking "Oh man, I'm in for a wild ride" - and then it ended. :( Fun little thing, and what is there is obviously well made. It's a shame you didn't have time to do everything you had planned. Nevertheless, good job!

Infinity Dive by keepee 2021-04-27T10:24:09Z

This is super cool and innovative. Well done!

GraveDigger by nosfer 2021-04-28T10:53:33Z

Honestly, the concept is amazing. I reeaaaally like the idea of digging and moving coffins around, but the controls are far too finicky. I'd play a polished version of this with super tight controls any day of the week. You should consider doing a proper post-jam version!

Having to figure out what to do based on the level titles was a fun detail.

HELL deep is your love? by Villanelle 2021-05-02T10:30:49Z

This is my favorite game from this LD. I have criticisms, but overall, I loved it.

Its biggest strength is its soundtrack. It's perfect. It's so good I'd prefer if this was more of a rhythm game; medusa heads floating (and visually "pumping") to the beat, enemies firing projectiles to the beat, levels scrolling with the music. I feel that everything you have currently (autoscrolling, music restarting when you die) invites this. I actually caught myself trying to move with the music and occasionally stand still and just duck to the beat.

The difficulty is also part of what makes it good, but some deaths feel kind of cheap. - If I've learned the level layout, I don't want to be punished by death if I take a leap to some platform the camera hasn't reached yet. - I'm not sure if the hitboxes are weird or if the zoom in when you die makes me confused, but at times, something left me feeling I shouldn't have died. - When you're slowed, it would've been nice with some visual feedback so that you know when it's safe to take another leap.

As for the abrupt ending, well... That's game jam games for you. :smirk:

Great job! I love games like this, so I'm probably biased, but I hope you develop this further.

Dungeon Painter by IanTheBee 2021-04-27T17:02:57Z

Cool idea! Fun game.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Ghost In The Washing Machine by foxxy 2022-04-06T22:41:57Z

This is art. Possibly the best game of the jam.

Different Strokes by Scott Steffes 2022-04-06T21:31:07Z

I wandered the gallery until it ran out of memory and crashed. And then I refreshed the page and started wandering again.

The Great Flood by cassowary 2022-04-08T09:02:29Z

Seriously, wow. I live and breathe games like these, and I think it's super impressive to be able to pull one off in 48 hours.

So simple, yet elegant. A unique puzzle mechanic with short & to-the-point levels that each introduce a new twist. Small touches, like adding dummy platforms to indicate water level for levels that require it. AND THE MOOD! The rain! Ah! I love it.

The music, while contributing to the mood, can be a bit repetitive. But hey, that's nitpicking just to have something constructive to say. :smirk:

I followed you on itch. Looking forward to whatever else you put out there and will take a look at your old stuff when I have some time over.

Message in a Bottle by hechi 2022-04-05T22:19:02Z

This is so cool. And pretty! I hope someone finds the poem I ~~stole~~wrote.

Don't Die, Dodo! by Baconeta 2022-04-05T21:38:46Z

Dodo facts!!

HANG UP! by Jesse J. Jones 2022-04-05T21:24:57Z

Great game. Love the graphics and audio and it feels really polished!

The only thing I can say is that I'd preferred if you typed words (at least fake ones) instead of random characters.
