When I saw this game I wasn't really expecting it to be fun, but man it surprised me. Simple but nice idea, well executed. imagem_2021-05-03_185956.png

Me and my friend always loved trivia games so I had to try it (and now I'm sending this for them to play as well, even if they didn't participate in LD48, I'm sure they'll like it a lot). It's very polished and pleasant, the questions are great and the cards to bust your gameplay are also a nice touch. Good entry!
Best graphics I've seen so far! I love culinary related games and this was so fun, wish it had more recipes and levels. I could play a lot of it and definitely see a future for it in some web and mobile version. Congrats!
This gave me true Castlevania vibes, the graphics and lighting are superb, how did you manage to do it in a weekend? Just can't figure it out hahaha I had some struggle with the level design at the beginning, and thats mostly my only thing to point out as, maybe, an adjustment for the future of this game. The mechanics are simple and fluid, and all the sound effects were great. This game has so much detail in it that I couldn't be more impressed. Truly loved it, congratulations on your work because its amazing.
The visual is astonishing and the sound effects are also really good. Your graphics really caught my eyes attention and the story is interesting. Would definitely like to see more of that, I'm curious about it and anxious for the next two levels you said you're going to release. Congrats on your entry! (Oh, and if you could tell me the name of the font you used in the chatbox, I'd much appreciate it!)
I saw you guys posting development screenshots during the jam and was expecting to play this and it did not disappoint at all. So funny and addictive!
Pretty fun game, with nice 3D models. The music is great, really fits the atmosphere and keeps you interested in the gameplay. The controls are precise and smooth, player speed, shooting speed, everything is on point making the game easy to understand and play. Nice job!
So great to see that you made this with your kids! I'd call it family quality time for sure! Nice to see some great minds being fed with creativity at such a young age. My experience was very fun: loved the artstyle and voice acting. Oh, and I arrived at Goblin Town, it's lovely!
Really loved the game, had a great time playing this! I tried several times and only made it to 900m but the game felt fresh and fun every run. The only thing I disliked was the same thing some mentioned before, that the "? boxes" gave the impression that I was going to get something good and helpful for my run, but instead they were negative effects (even though all the negative effects were also pretty fun). Never got anything positive out of those boxes, so I don't know if they exist or if the odds of getting the bad effects are much higher. Anyways, loved the game!
One of the most impressive puzzle games I've seen in this gamejam. Loved the "fast thinking" element and the pressure the game builds. All sounds, graphics and gameplay are well fitting and really polished. I had a great time playing this and would like to see more!
I was having fun until I got a gun and it didn't shoot in the moments I wanted it to and that was really necessary for the rest of the game's progression... So I gave up a little after that. But overall a nice entry.
One of the games I played the longest from this Ludum Dare's edition! Simple but very addictive and that's the most important thing in a game: it has to be fun. Really enjoyable but the only thing I missed was some sfx to complete the experience.
Man, this game is so hard, definitely was not expecting this (i thought it would be some kind of Monopoly difficulty level) hahahah the financial line on the background was a nice and soft touch. Great take on the theme, hilarious actually. Great job!
Fun and simple to play, even though it's not the genre of game I'm used to play. Since its a score game, would be nice to see the highscore from other people.
The atmosphere is definitely well set in this game. The audio makes the gameplay a true experience. The idea of the game is to tell a sad story and it does this very well with the help of all the other elements, and I found the graphics a little too disturbing (this is personal taste, of course) and they are very unique indeed. Nothing to suggest here, just wanted to say congratulations for the great work!
The concept is one of a kind, really. So original! I loved the hand drawings as the art style choice for this. The pencil sound was not my favorite because it irritates me a lot, even in real life hahah so I had to mute the game, but I know it fits perfectly the atmosphere you guys were aiming to do. The game is hard, but I enjoyed the challenge and got very far, until a bug made me lose all my progress (I took one of the portals and fell down, then my character was so much bigger than the screen he was supposed to be in. Overall, even with this bug, I loved the experience. Thanks for this entry, it's amazing!
Nice short game. Fun and simple, easy to play. The thing I liked the most was the art, they are really great here! The sound effects are also very good and fitting with the atmosphere of the game. The only thing I didn't like much was the knockback the crab does when he takes damage because this affects him for a little bit too much time and he gets hit by another huge amount of attacks. Maybe some really short invulnerability after getting hit would help with this. But overall this is a great entry, congratulations!
Great entry! From the root growing games I played, this is the one I liked the most. The graphics and mechanics are so nice and easy to understand... Very good job to the team.
The game gives you the feels of typical mobile game and has a funny take on the theme. The only thing I would complain is that I think my experience would be better if I played it on my smartphone... I found it a little strange to just click the LMB for the character to jump, wish there was the possibility to play using the keyboard for the web version. Nevertheless, good job!
The core mechanic is fantastic, never seen anything like it. It's not easy but it's super fun. The art and sounds are top notch, the animations are flawless. The main character is not only beautifully designed pixel art but is also funny and charismatic. Different kinds of enemies, great tutorial... Well, I have nothing to complain about this game, just the fact that it ends :(
Great dialogues, amazing UI, graphics and music (even though it's a short loop, it's still a nice one). Cute characters and interesting story behind them. The puzzles were also nice. Thanks for the experience.
I love hellish games, especially the ones with this kind of comedy element. The art is superb here, and the sounds too. The light work and gameplay are also very well executed. Loved to see this is a sequel to a game you guys did years before, the character is very charismatic and I found the story behind the game pretty interesting, kept my atention for a good while. Nice job guys!
Really good entry. The game is solid, with cool and simple mechanics (and I dig that, thanks god there's still people making simplistic but good games around here). The graphics are beautiful and retro-like, and so is the music and sfxs. I played and replayed it many times. Very enjoyable, good job!
When I started having fun and getting the hang of things the game ended hahah but I know its due to the short time you have to work with in a game jam, so no problem! Just wish it could be a little bit longer, but all the mechanics in the game are well implemented. I'd also love to see movement animations, that would improve a lot the feeling of the game. Congrats on the great job!
The thing I enjoyed the most in this game was the lighting work. Really well done, consistent art style. There are one thing I'd suggest: to put some visual indicator of the side you're getting hit. And that's about it. Congratulations on your game, very good!
The music was too loud but the models are very well made and the controls are polished. Perhaps you should add a volume control option. Nice entry overall.
Beautiful art and nice chill vibe for the game. Loved the sound effects and music, so relaxing and this is a great and unusual take on the theme. Congrats!
Liked very much the idea. The exploration is a factor that I didn't see much around other games from this jam, so its nice to see this for a change. And its also nice to see it being well applied. The character is little but interesting and charismatic, the graphics are awesome. The sound maybe was too high, but nothing too annoying. I only found the movementation of the character a bit weird since the mouse is very sensitive. Besides that, great game!
I managed to beat it and was surprised by the quality of the story! I'm a fan of games like this and thought it was super fun. Loved everything about it, the atmosphere is spot on (the music helps a lot in this matter). Congrats to the devs!
The idea behind the game is so much fun. I loved how you guys implemented it with the story and the funny bosses. The last one remembered me of a boss from "The Messenger", one that I liked the most when playing that game. But for me, the most lovely aspects of this game are the sound effects and music. They are just on point. Congrats to all of the team!
Quite interesting take on the theme. It's nice to see someone brought up the environmental issue to the jam! As of the game, it would be nice to see some visual feedback for when you clean up the ocean or save a turtle like a flash on their sprites or something... I also found a little difficult to clean the orange cans because they were too similar to some of the fish (and maybe this was intentional). Any other than that, the game is great, simple and fun.
**This is my new favorite from this jam and I MEAN IT.** I played more than 70 games so far and none of them were able to create such an amazing atmosphere as this one. I would buy this on Steam, please do a full release!!! The mechanics are really fun, the story is well told and kept me interested through all the levels. The game comunicates to the player very well how the levels need to be done, and even though the game itself is pretty intuitive, the tutorials were very helpful and well placed. The graphics are simple but beautiful, the main character is so charismatic and cute. The mechanics are fun, simple to use and work really well... Oh man, I have nothing to criticize about this. Congrats for the art, the level design, the sound design, the programming, everything is superb here. Gave 5's all across the board.imagem_2021-05-04_033944.png
I like the exploration factor in this game, fun to have some objective and story behind it too. Light effects, player movement and sound were really fitting. Nice entry!
This is my first game jam but I knew Deep Down 1 from Itch and to see there's a sequel made me really enthusiasmated to play it because I loved the first one. And it did not disappoint! The level design is on point, the only part that I felt it was let intuitive than all the rest was the mechanic that makes you bigger but gives you a double jump, it took me longer to understand this compared to all the other mechanics. And about that: wow! what a great variety for the gameplay! This was a blast to play, really. Had a lot of fun! Keep up the good work, guys!
The music and sound effects are awesome. The game is beautiful with this minimalistic style and its for sure a great interpretation of the jam's theme. Liked the short stories and the feel of exploration. Congrats!
This game was a lot of fun, the dialogues are great and the character on the screen is charismatic and hilarious. The mini games were a great touch and repeating them while adding other mini games was a nice take on the theme "deeper and deeper". Great job!
As a fan of Celeste I loved the vibes of this game. The gameplay is great and its so visually appealing, you bought me with the eyes. This game also fits the theme very well and the oxygen tank mechanic is a pretty nice touch. I'd only change the difficulty curve of the game, 'cause the very first diamond is a little too much challenging when you don't even know how to perfectly control your character's jump yet, for example. Besides that, I loved the experience. Such a great entry!
The concept behind the game is great! The music helped to stablish the mood so well... Wish there was more levels to play, congrats!
This is a nice game with a short story. The improvements I would suggest is to make the music loop longer, 'cause as it is it's too short. Another thing is that the game already begins very challenging, with lots of enemies coming on your way, there's no slow pace to get used to the controllers and movement. But overall it's a nice entry, I liked it!
It looks amazing and it is very immersive. I was feeling as if I was lost in space myself, trying to reconnect with my station. The voice acting was also very good. The story is interesting and the physics are on point. The only thing I would suggest is to put a tutorial section for the game, I was quite lost at the beginning but tried every button in my keyboard and then things started to work. Great game!
Unique take on the theme. I am absolutely impressed by the high quality of sound effects and music. They really set the tone for the game. Also the way the story is being told is very interesting. Found this very solid and enjoyed my experience very much. Thanks for this entry!
Amazing game! I enjoyed every aspect of it. The music is fantastic, makes me want to replay the game just to keep hearing it. The sound effects are soft and in the right volume. The player movement is so smooth, although when I reached far dephts the drill started gaining velocity and I suffered with a little bit o lag (probably due to be playing the game in browser). This is definitely something I would buy to play on my cellphone. Congrats!
Such a shame this game is so short. I'd love to see more interactions with the world, or even some dialogue choices. Oh, and I gotta say your graphics are impecable. Congrats doing this great work in just 24 hours.
This is a great puzzle game! The difficulty curve is on point. You are able to learn the basic mechanics and then the game starts progressing organically. I enjoyed the music and graphics and the challenges are really well put together. Great entry!
I really like the concept here, but I imagine that due to the short amount of time you guys couldn't put it all together perfectly. There's maybe too much text because this is a platformer and a storytelling game, so maybe you could use less text to explain the game, find other ways to teach the player what you need them to learn, something perhaps more interactive. I liked the background, the sounds were immersive and the character design is also nice, but the tiles are a little flat comparing to the rest because it has no details... But I had fun with this game and especially the story is well told. Congratulations!
I really loved the game, that's why I played 4 runs one after another hahah so much details and interesting mechanics, unfortunately it's not my favorite genre but I had lots of fun. I struggled with some bugs, like my turn and the enemy turn overlapped and I lost my chance to play so a character died because of it. But besides that I had a great time. Thanks for the entry!
I loved the baby sprite hahah also, the "inception" idea is great and matches very well with the theme. I reached the third level, I think. Would be nice if the time froze in the first layer of the game while you are in the second one, like you're in a dream or something. The thing I'd point out to maybe adjust in the future is the physics, felt too hard to land where I wanted sometimes. Overall, great job!
I really liked this entry. Spent a great amount of time playing it because I was having so much fun, actually. Loved the music and graphics, but the sounds were crackling at the menu. I also liked that I had the option to access volume settings because it is core in a game like this (and believe me, some of them does not have this important feature). Only other thing I noticed was that I wasn't being punished for making rhythm mistakes. Nevertheless, awesome game. Congrats, the entry is pretty solid and fun!
Even though the team is from fellow brazilians I'm going to leave my feedback in english so non-portuguese speakers can understand how amazing this game is! The music is on point and matching the atmosphere. The visuals are very polished. The gameplay uses interesting mechanics and the physics of the character are very balanced. I would point out just 2 things to review in the future: the respawn timing takes too long after you die, and its lacking a tutorial in the game about how the attack works (I know it's in the description but I only read it after dying too much hahahah). But besides that, the game is really enjoyable and is a great entry to this jam! Congrats to all the devs!
This is fantastic! I loved the entire experience and by that I mean this game made me feel several emotions with the plot and atmosphere while I was playing. The voice acting and characters were so likable! Level and sound design are flawless. Both made the player see the progression of the story very well. And about the art, collisions, player movement and skill... Well, all pretty polished. Great game! For sure one of my favorites from LD48.
Felt pretty smooth to control the submarine and I like that. The upgrades are a nice touch, with a lot of options to help you go deeper and deeper into the ocean. The only thing I disliked about it was the fact that I could spin 360 degrees with the submarine, but at the same time it was fun. Overall, great job!
This game is fun, relaxing and satisfying all at the same time. So simple and straight forward, the mechanics are working fine and are super fluid. I felt Terraria vibes from it. Found no bugs and had not experienced any lags in the webGL. The only thing I'd have liked to see was a walking animation, but its just a small detail. Amazing work with this game, congrats!
This game is straight forward and the player's movement is on point. After some time it gets very repetitive and the music does not match with the deep ocean mood I was expecting. But overall this is a nice game with enjoyable graphics and simple objective. Nicely done.
This looks so cute! I loved playing it and got addicted at some point hahah a round of applause to the graphics and sounds, they are really suiting the game! Also the movement is smooth but when you touch the walls or other obstacles its a bit difficult to "ungrab" them. Congrats to the devs, amazing game overall.
Really good entry! I had fun playing this game and was able to finish it. I got involved with the graphics, actually... It sets up the mood of the game really well and got me interested in discovering the entire story behind the character and the world he was living in. The idea of a boss (the big eye) chasing you and you defeating him with mechanics that did not involve a player attack was a nice and creative touch. Good job!
Beautiful game! I saw it on someone's stream tonight and left it here for some time I could play it. Well, there's nothing bad to say really, just a few things to improve imo. The graphics are, for me, the strongest part of the game. The gameplay is somehow not very intuitive and there are a lot of controls for the player to learn. Also, I experienced some bugs with the animations. When you try to attack and move at the same time the animation sometimes freezed. Nevertheless, great entry! Congrats to all the devs.
Lovely gameboy aesthetic. The animations and music are really great. Nice variety of enemies too. I know it's a clicker game but I'd love to attack with a keyboard input because I'm not a fan of the mouse-clicking, the less I use it in a game, the better actually. I agree with some of the commentaries above, because I bought the auto stats and upgraded it so much that I didn't have to play the game anymore and just kept going. It's a nice option, but definitely needs a debuff. Also would want to see the music changing as you get deeper and deeper in the dungeon, and the last thing to point out is that the sound effects where overlaping themselves when I reached level 7 of the attack speed upgrade. Those are all of my considerations, but I really enjoyed the game because I played it for more than 20 minutes hahah so would definitely want to see it more polished to play it again in the future.
Such a powerful storytelling and great way to interpretate Ludum Dare's theme. Liked that you guys put the sensitive content warning too. Good audio and art benefiting the atmosphere of the game. Congrats for this beautiful entry.
I like games as this one. Quick, simple, a story that makes you curious. The best part for me was the mysterious atmosphere and the visuals for the game. Good entry!
I like the idea behind this game and with some little changes this would be extremely polished. I liked the main mechanic of the game and it gives you the possibility to include several other interesting mechanics such as the shooting one. The two suggestions I'm going to make are: that the enemies take less shots to die, and to improve the visual feedback for when you lose the body you infected because when there's a lot of things in your screen it becomes hard to see when you lose your second body. Maybe add a sound feedback for this too? But overall this is a nice and fun game, congrats!
Its so funny. I'll definitely play it again later. Love the 50's music vibes. My only problem was that my score didn't show up at the end in some of my runs, but still a great little addictive game! Congrats.
The tutorial is very instructive, the gameplay is pleasant, really really liked it. Oh, and the pixel art is just beautiful! Loved the main character visuals and the environment. I would only change the music for something more in sync with the vibes of the game. Nice to see another Construct 3 game devs around here! Congrats to the team.
Really nice entry. I guess the number of mechanics made it a lot difficult to understand what's going on because they are introduced at the same time (but I appreciate the effort of making a tutorial section to try and explain what's happening). Even with the tutorial I wasn't able to survive the ejection in my first run. The second one was nicer. Overall, I enjoyed the game and it's atmosphere. Nice job!
One of the most beautiful games I've seen around this jam. Graphics and sound effects are over the top. The movement is fluid and the mechanic is very simplistic (which I like much). Also had a good laugh when I read the motivation behind the theme (that you guys were in deep s#!t), found this very creative. Good job with this entry, congrats!
The game feels nice to play, player movements are on point, the graphics and sounds are very well done. I'd only add sound effects for the bosses patterns. Good job doing a game in 48h!
Liked the idea of the game but the execution was very simplistic. I would like it to be more interactive, spent too much time reading and wasn't playing much.
The theme chosen by your team is very interesting and different from the other entries I've been seeing around. I like the physics behind the game and found them well applied through it. The art is really good and the sounds too. Fun to play, so congrats, great job!
The suspense mood is very well stablished in this game. I like the general idea, seems pretty interesting, but the lack of a tutorial section or instructions inside the game make it a little difficult to play. Loved the voice acting also. Nice entry!
This classic platformer is so cute!!! Nice experience to play it 'cause of its simplicity. The only suggestions I have to make here is to fix some of the collisions of the player with the walls, and I would also change the sound effects of his footsteps for something smoother, but this is just me being picky). Game is great with a nice short story and clear objetive! Congrats!
This is in my top 10 from all the games I played in this edition of Ludum Dare. And yeah, I played a lot, more than 50... The graphics, the colors, the fluidity of the movements, the concept itself, the sounds... All pretty fun to me. Thanks for the entry! captainzapdash1
Fluid gameplay and nice variety of enemies. I learned some ways to prevent taking damage very quickly, so the game is also pretty intuitive even for the people who are not used to wave killing games like myself. Good interpretation of the theme! Congrats to the dev team.
Really enjoyed this one! The exploration felt real, the controls of the ship were also smooth and made the travelling feel comfortable, not too fast and not too slow. The dialogues at the beginning give you a glance of the story really well. Great job!
I loved it so much! It's so simple but very different take on the theme than what I've been seeing around the jam. Oh and I also reached the goal. One thing I had a hard time with was the sound, it was crashing for me at times, but nothing major. Good entry, congrats!
The idea is great. I didn't see any game like this one in the game jam, actually. Unfortunately while I was playing I experienced some bugs. I could only build the constructions, but not the units so I fought just with the archery towers for a while. If there's some bug fix for that, I would love to try it again because it's a great concept. Good job making this one!
Enjoyed the exploration factor, the mood of the game is very relaxing. The thing I would suggest would be to add animations for going up and down, felt a little bit weird to see the fish static. And would also change the tilemap for a more fitting one, since that one is sand beach but underwater and I didn't quite understand the choice hahaha but I get the time to do such details is always an issue. Good job!
This game gives you a nice chill experience, thats due the atmosphere created by the graphics and sounds. Great mood I would say. Simple game but very well executed. Nice job!
There's nothing to dislike about this awesome game. I would definitely buy it on Steam for days that I'd be feeling like a casual player. I wish this had a in-game tutorial though because it has too much mechanics and buttons and I only learned them after several runs. Right when I started the game, it was too frenetic and I died many times trying to remember all of the actions available. Maybe a slow learning curve would be a nice touch to it. Thanks for the game, it has a great future.
Good retro graphics and excellent sound effect for the bombles. I only disliked a little bit the player's jump height, but nothing major. Good job!
The graphics are so beautifully done, I'm deeply impressed by it. The sounds of the game are also top notch. All this together with the great storytelling made my heart feel warm. I connected with Mei's story very much (lost my mother in adolescence as well), so this was very special to me. Thanks for this beautiful game and for the caring details throughout the gameplay (noticed you guys cared about accessibility and this is awesome). HUGE congrats for everyone who worked on this!
I actually believe I played until the last level, but wasn't able to finish this because I tried many many times and couldn't pass those enemies... But I really enjoyed the game so much that I'll give it another try tomorrow just to finish it. The suggestions I'm going to make now is for the level design actually. It begins very accurate in terms of difficulty, but there are some levels that you can pass through everyone without shooting or disguising even once. Then a few levels later, you face an enormous amount of enemies in a giant space that you still have to explore while managing to pass both groups. That's when I gave up, but all the elements of this game are so interesting that makes you keep trying even when you fail many times. The story and the mood are very well set, and the music is so nice that I want to hear this on Soundcloud if possible hahaha Thanks for such a nice entry! Great job!
I reached the depth of 897 meters! Found the game fun, but for me it lacked further instructions inside the game on how to play it. Just after my run I saw that I could control the height of the player character. Anyways, great entry, congrats!
Simple but well executed. The gameplay is easy to understand and very straight forward. Would be a great mobile game, for sure. Great variety of obstacles and the art is great. Good job.
I really liked playing this game. Spent a huge amount of time playing it actually, so it's definitely addictive. Loved the pixel art, sound effects and music, all fitting the vibes. Wish it could feature in a new version the things I'll say ahead: a "Sell All" button, an option to Sell and Throw items with keyboard inputs, different enemy waves and weapon upgrade. Definitely would play again in the future. Congrats!
I played this game for quite longer than I expected hahaha it is so simple, but has some nice upgrades that helps a lot. It would be even nicer if there was more variety of drills and features. Sounds would also be a great addition to the experience. Nevertheless, nice game!
The fact that it has tutorial and increasing difficulty shows it is very well thought. I liked the experience overall, even though it was a bit hard sometimes. Didn't like as much the menu song as the in game sounds and effects, but this is taste option. Congrats to the devs!
Nice game. As some of the comments above, I also think the player speed is too slow and that's the only think I would suggest improving. Congrats for submitting this game!
Sadly I wasn't able to play the game to the end because it crashed many times here. As the fellow mate above me, I also started the game going to the left and fell down endlessly hahah this made me try to find a restart option but it wasn't available so I had to reopen the game. I also missed a main menu. The art is really beautiful and consistent though, very interesting style and choice of story for the game.
This is my favorite puzzle game so far in this edition, and I played a lot of them. The mechanic is pretty simple and intuitive, the art is beautiful and the sound design as well. I had loads of fun playing this and will recommend this to my friends who also like puzzle games. Awesome work, guys, congrats!
I had some problems with the collisions and kept dying when I shouldn't be or getting stuck somewhere with no floor, but despite of that I found the game very fun and did try a few times to see the rest of the map. The music is also very cool. Nice entry!
The aspects that I liked the most were the movements and physics. The art is very good but could use some improvement(for example, I think the environment could have matched more with the style of the character, colour pallette-wise mainly). The music is great but it is too loud. And I could just ignore most of the enemies without being penalized for it. Overall this is a great game, congrats!
I like the idea of the game but I had some complications throughout my gameplay: one of them was that I collided two times with something invisible (I know this because of the impact sound), the other one was that I had experienced an audio bug while trying to move the submarine in any direction. Besides that, I see potential in this idea, the game is good, just needs some polishing! Great entry!
Nice little game. The story is interesting and it has a great variety of enemies. Some of their mechanics are pretty fun. I just think that the stone throwing should be more precise and the jump of the player character is sometimes too high (is this intentional?). Overall, good job!
This game is solid for sure, with a beautiful and unique art style and nice music. The things I will suggest here are my perception, feel free to disagree because of course this is your game... The first thing that I didn't like much was the huge amount of tutorial, even though they are well explained because of the game's complexity I think this would be best if showed throught gameplay where the player could learn some mechanics at a time and not all of them at the same time. Another thing is that the difficulty curve of the game is high since the very beginning and for some players this can be a little frustrating (I'm saying this but as a level designer myself I find this difficult to balance as well, although it improves a lot the feeling of the game when we get it right). Other than this I should only congratulate you guys, 'cause this is very well done: fun to play, good to look at and nice to hear. Good job!
Great take on the theme. Didn't see nothing quite like this one in this Ludum Dare's edition actually. The mechanics are simple and the game has a good pace. Good upgrade options and variety of cards. I enjoyed the experience, thanks for this entry!
The sound effects are so funny, I laughed all the way through my gameplay. Quick and casual game, humorous touch. Congrats.
Polished game, the visuals are nice and the movements/physics feel so smooth. The objective is simple and straight forward to learn. I think the sound effects could be improved, especially the "portal" sfx, but this is just my personal taste more than a real suggestion. Thanks for the entry!
I don't really like shooters but this was nice to play. I only think that it would benefit more from more polished graphics, different patterns for the enemies as you go further into the brain of the prime minister and the possibility to keep shooting just by holding the left mouse button. Simple but fun game.
The atmosphere is well built with the correct music and sound effects. I also like this pixel art style. The thing I had some trouble with was actually the gameplay, because even reading the tutorial before the game, to play it was not very simple and straight forward as I thought it would be, but the exploration factor is very good. Other than that I'd have to say only congratulations for the great job!
Loved playing this game. Loads of fun. The only thing I actually didn't like was how my run ended 'cause I was too concentrated not to lose the game, but then 3 or more emergency sounds started playing and as I could do nothing to stop that, I just watched my sleep bar go from full to empty in no time. Was that normal or a bug? Well... At least I tried! Great game, thanks for the entry!

I was seeing your development during the weekend at Ludum Dare's discord and was looking forward to see the result. It did not disappoint! The light and color pallette in this are just beautiful. The player's movement is smooth and the overall experience was very fun. My only suggestion would be to control the robot with WASD inputs as well, because many doesn't use the arrows like myself haha
@siliel sorry to hear about that! have you tried to put it on fullscreen and use the WASD inputs or arrow keys + Enter to select the menu options?
Hey guys, thanks for all the feedbacks around here. We are **REALLY** impressed with how much love our game is receiving. Cannot thank you enough to be honest. **We made a post-jam version of our game**, and I wrote about all the fixes and changes we did based on your suggestions, in this [Ludum Dare blog post](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/hell-deep-is-your-love/post-jam-version-of-hell-deep-is-your-love). If you tried the game before, consider doing another run test (I promise the difficulty was adjusted)!
If you haven't rated us yet, ***please note that to rate us on Ludum Dare you should play the old version of the game, which is the web version also available in our [Itchio](https://doublemindgames.itch.io/helldeep).***
**Feedbacks are still much appreciated and thank y'all again for the kind words and support.**

@okamit yes, we received a lot of feedback about this issue with the music restarting and we implemented the solution in the post-jam version of the game. Feel free to try it out again, if you'd like! And thanks for leaving this feedback. It's really important to us.
@togis glad you liked the changes! And we'll absolutely look further on your suggestions. Thanks again!
@lrvstudios hey man, thanks A LOT for this comment. It's our first jam game and second overall, so to hear you call it a "professional" game really estimulates us to keep learning, improving and making games.
@etrealjunior this is AMAZING! we all loved your tribute to our game. I was not expecting this hahaha thanks for leaving such a kind gift for us  :flag_br:
Nice physics and sounds. My only struggle was that the velocity of the objects in my screen increased a lot in very little time, but I get this is supposed to be a tough game. I liked it!
The story seems great and I was curious about how it ends, also the glide mechanic is very smooth to control, but couldn't get very far on the game though... I would point out some things to improve next time, if you'd like: the sound effects are too loud and not very well put together with the vibes of the game. The main character visual is really cute but the environment art needs a little bit more work yet. Nice game overall, with room for some improvements. Congrats for your entry!
The idea is very different from all the other games I've played in this edition, and yeah I played a lot of them. But I guess you didn't have time to polish the game, so many aspects that would make me enjoy it a lot more were missing like sound effects or visual feedbacks for the actions I was doing with the recruits. Other thing I struggled with was the combat when the first enemies arrived... I was at the bottom of screen mining, then needed to head back to HQ but the screen didn't go up with me so I couldn't see what I was dealing with. Overall, I liked the gameplay and the variety of minerals and resources we could get. Good job!
I like mystery games and this story caught my attention. Unfortunately it is a game so short that the plot has no time at all to develop into something more intriguing. My suggestions are the same as many previous commentaries: the camera is so close to the character you barely can see your surroundings. The jump is too high, and the map is too dark. Could use a little more work in the graphics. The concept idea for your game is great, with some changes it would become something very interesting. Congrats!
Omg I don't know how much time I spent playing your game, I just forgot about my life and kept playing hahahah too much fun and a unique take on the theme. I liked the options to be selected and the sounds. The only bad thing was that after playing so much, the game crashed for no reason and I couldn't see the end (the buttons were not responding).
The music is very in sync with the gameplay and the art is very pretty. The game fits the theme perfectly and the mechanics are innovative as well, even though its a submarine game I enjoyed it very much because it had another take on the subject! The difficulty is adequate and the level design is nice, gave me a very fun experience overall.
Liked how the physics work here, although I died several times to finally learn the best way to play this. So I would say it is maybe a little bit too challenging at the beginning with few instructions for the player... Also liked the graphics and general mood. Nice work.
The objective is really simple to understand and the game is straightforward because of that. I like this simplicity. Also liked the graphics and sounds of the game, very matching with the overall atmosphere. I disagree with some comments above saying your game doesn't propose a real puzzle. It's a **memory** puzzle, totally solid for me. I enjoyed my experience, great job!
I loved the mechanics and music, they fitted very well to the concept of the game. Movements were fluid, the light effects are really good. Would want to see my health bar though... It made my boss fight a bit difficult but I tried twice and managed to beat the game. Congratulations to the dev team!
The visuals and sounds for the game are spot on. I would like to hear a longer version of the music though. The playthrough is really well thought and teaches the player how the game works nicely. Found this fun to play and the experience is very polished. Congrats to all of the team!
Cool game but I was having some struggles with the jumps and collisions. The level is not so intuitive as well... But the idea is funny. Good job!
What a great game! The sounds and graphics are fitting the atmosphere perfectly and the mechanics were really innovative. Nice use of the "submarine thematic", I was enjoying the game from beginning to end. The only thing I would point out is that the arrow icons and the number of throws the submarine had left were too small and sometimes to see them was not that easy. Really loved the experience, congratulations!
I saw this game and immediately wanted to play it. Love puzzles and mysteries! The visuals are also very beautiful and the sounds, while I enjoyed them, I don't think they are fitting the mood of the game much. But that's the only thing I would change. I'm just a little sad because I couldn't find the right answer to the puzzle. Please tell me what it is hahahah
Tough game. Wished to see more levels, cool entry for sure.
I enjoyed the challenge but couldn't beat the record from other people that posted here hahah At least I tried, right?imagem_2021-05-02_031200.png
Great game!
Nice game. The idea of making the digging mechanic as a puzzle platformer is clever and stands out from the ways this theme has been used. My only suggestion is, as others have said before, to change the player's speed because it's incredibly difficult to make some jumps between spikes. Another suggestion, and this is mainly personal taste actually, is to add WASD keys and Space bar to players like myself that are not used to arrow keys. Thanks for the entry, great job!
