Awesome idea, simple yet fun and challenging gameplay! :)) Some funky tunes would have make it even better imho, but wonderful job anyways. :)

Yaaay, I managed to land on Earth for the 3rd try! Nice game, chilly music, cool artstyle, simple yet fun :) Not much to complain about, awesome job! ^_^
I enjoyed this game sooo much. The controls are smooth, shooting feels so good, the mood is really on point! :) I did a couple playthroughs it's great!
One weird thing is that you kind of stuck to the walls when you walk too close to them.
Wonderful job anyways, one of my favourites so far! ^_^
Nice game! Really fun mechanics, and really smooth controls, well done with that. :) I especially liked the straightforward tutorial idea you guys came up with!
Wonderful job, not much else to say ^_^
Awesome game mate! This idea is sooooo good, it's fun and addictive, the controls are smooth and the art is charming. A custom cursor (a crosshair-lik target icon maybe) would have been so nice, but still. This is my favourite so far! ^_^
Awesome game. Nice graphics, the music and VO is on point. However, it is too short, an endless runner version would be cool with a high score system. ^_^
Great job anyways, really enjoyed it! :)
As a basketball fan and a pixel art lover, I pretty much instantly fell in love with your game, but when the big purple hole appeared and the music started playing it scared the shit out of me! :scream:
Great game, really enjoyed it, awesome job guys! :)
Too bad it was a bit short, I would love to get more of this going!
Nailed it! Win on the first try! Nice game buddy! Simple gameplay, maybe a bit too simple, but one ride was fun as hell. Awesome job on the graphics and the music! ^_^

Urgh... sorry for the spam, my browser went funky for some reason :(
I liked the feel of the game. The intro and the art style is really charming. :) The first level was really challenging to pass (at least for me), but I loved it. Nothing too innovative, but executed perfectly.
One thing that would improve the gameplay for me, if the jump through the platforms when he is below them. ^_^
Nice job anyways!
Such a fun game to play, I liked the concept! The graphics are cool, the gameplay is fun and fast-paced. I think the UI could use some polishing though. For example, the crushing indicator could have been a health bar above the players head or something.
Nice game anyway, great job mate! :)
It was fun and challanging, I liked the pixel art and clean game UI. Nice work! :)
Awesome interpretation of the idea! Smooth controls, nice graphics, not much to say about that one. Wonderful job! :-]
I might be a little biased because I LOVE hand-drawn graphics, but this is just absolutely beautiful. The music fits perfectly, the whole mood is on point! :)
The gameplay is fun as well, my only problem is that there is no sense of progress. If you could implement a high score system, it would have kept me going for longer.
Awesome game anyways, well done! :)
Wow, just wow. What an amazing concept and execution. Nice interpretation of the theme, I felt the weight of every decision on my shoulders... an impactful experience.
I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't let Mr. Gaylord in though. :'(
Awesome, awesome job guys!
I found myself stuck in your tinyverse immediately, a simple, yet really addictive game. The "studying-relaxing" type music fits perfectly, it was a wonderful way to boot up my brain in the morning. Absolutely good interpretation of the theme, well done mate! :)
Brilliant concept, looks very promising. :)
The graphics are great, the camera is smooth, the pathfinding works really well. ^_^
It would be so nice to play complete levels, awesome job!
Sorry to hear about the linux build. I'll try to fix it ASAP, I took down the link from itch.io for the time being, thanks for the feedback! :)
@adroitconceptions I updated the build, the issue should be gone now, could you test it again and tell me if it works now? :)
@adroitconceptions thanks for the feedback, and for helping me to fix the Linux build! :)
@2lol555 thanks for the tip mate, glad you enjoyed it ^_^
@caeonosphere seeing a planet ahead is a really cool idea, thanks for the suggestion, really appreciate it. :)
@youkaidrawing I'm glad you loved the art style! :)
@sat9 Woooow, I'm so happy to hear that, penguins are hella cool! Maybe we communicated unconsciously the whole time! :) Yeah, the jump curve is definitely hard to get used to, we wanted a rage-game style gameplay, I think we may have over-succeeded.
I'll check out your entries as soon as I have the time to do so.
@bungalow glad you liked it mate! :)
@skyrex wow, I'm so glad to hear that, hope you had a good time playing it! :]
@sadsmile @atillagallio thanks for the feedback guys! :) We know it's a bit difficult, but once you get used to the curve it gets better, I promise. :v:
Hope you guys had fun times playing it and again, I'll try your games as soon I can.
@raffe, @monetai, @cheetahcat, @gamepopper, @honey: Really glad you guys liked the game! Highly appreciate the feedback from everyone, you are all awesome! ^_^
I'm sorry to say that, but there is no secret ending implemented. We definitely wanted something like it, but the deadline was too tight at the end of the event!
I liked the feel of the game! Pretty neat pixel art and music! :) I feature I really missed is a high score system (I know it's unfinished). It would have keep me playing for some more rounds!
Great work for a first time anyways. ^_^
Nice game, I liked the concept, it has a goofy atmosphere, absolutely cool. The gameplay is simple, yet fun I found myself chasing my record over and over again.
The graphics could have been a bit more polished, but awesome game anyways! ^_^
Easily one of my favourites! :) Awesome art style, lovely music, challenging puzzles, an absolutely polished and amazing experience! Well done guys ^_^
It's a simple, yet awesomely fun game! I really liked it. I would swap the random rotation speed to a gradually increasing speed to make the player feel some progress as others suggested.
Great job, and thanks for giving us a great time! :)
The gameplay felt smooth, it is challenging and the mood was really on point! My only issue is that my eyes started to hurt after a while for some reason because of the motion and the large amount of squares.
Really fun, challenging and addictive! :) Well done mate! Good twist on a classic platformer mechanism, the audio and the mood was absolutely on point.
However, I think the game could have used a bit more variety, like tinting the blocks differently in each level or so. Anyway, I enjoyed playing through the whole adventure. :v:
Absolutely loved the concept, great twist on a classic and a nice interpretation of the game. :) Found myself addicted to it, for a good 15 minutes.
Awesome job mate! ^_^
Cool, fun and awesome game. :) Wonderful job guys. Only thing I could add is the AI camera thing, but that was mentioned a couple times before me.
Absolutely great idea and execution. My only real minor issue was with the lighting. For my taste, it was a bit too dark. As a result, navigation was even a bit frustrating at times.
Regardless, nice graphics, great idea, clean execution, fun gameplay. Well done! :)
Nice controls, easy yet satisfying gameplay, especially at the second level. :)
Well done! ^_^
Cool entry for a game jam. :)
Very well done!
I have no idea what I just experienced but I really liked it. :)
Man I had one job... and failed it :(
Good job, awesome idea. Very nice humor ^_^
Stunning atmosphere, I could listen to the music all day long :). So cozy, brilliant idea. The combat could have used some more polishing.
One cool feature would be to somehow indicate when the wolves are hit by the slingshot.
Great job anyways, I really enjoyed it.
Really nice game, nice feels and graphics, and a brilliant take on the idea. 2 small things could improve the experience by a lot, in my opinion: - some sort of a feedback when you start to destroy / move objects - a bit quicker base movement speed on the player character, he is sooooooo slow, and time is of the essence in this game :)
GJ, really enjoyed it ^_^
Nice idea, I really liked it. It's a bit of a stretch from the theme in my opinion, but still a really cool concept :)
I liked it very much. As the others have said it is very well polished and interesting. The difficulty curve is a bit too high for me, I couldn't beat the first wave. Maybe I would have toned down the spawn rate of the crabby boiz for the first level to make a bit easier for noobs like me.
Well done anyways, it is a great game :)
Great Job!
It was a really cool idea. I feel like the white rocks could have been higher or something to make it more clear to the player that they have to jump on them.
All in all, fun, cute game. :)
Fun game, very well-polished, I absolutely enjoyed it. Not to brag, but I survived for the first try (shrooms are op).
One recommendation: it would be nice to have some feedback what the character will do when I left click. Maybe highlight the object which he interacts with? A bit clarity would have been helpful sometimes.
For instance, when I a log and the axe was next to each other, I wasn't sure which one he will pick up.
Other then that, I think you folks nailed it. The scoreboard is a nice extra touch! Amazing job! ^_^
Lovely artstyle and idea! :)
Név alapján pedig Ãrhatom magyarul is, nagyon ügyesek vagytok, szuper! ^_^
What a clever idea! :)
Man, I love this soooo much. I think a particle effect on damage would be really helpful to guide our healer's attention. ^_^
This is my favourite entry so far. Fun, polished, great art and gameplay, just overall a very decent game in such a short amount of time. :)
Nice idea to put the tutorial in the house as posters.
The music is a banger, well done! :)
Really fun game, I was vibiiiiin'
Great job! ^_^
Really polished, a nice game. :)
The topic selection was a safe bet for the theme, it was not really innovative BUT you executed it perfectly. Wonderful mood, audio, graphics, just an all in all great experience.
Well done!
Best intro ever. 10/10 humour. Would liberate again.
Well done! :)
Brilliant entry :)
I was blown away by the polish you made in such a short amount of time. It looks so complete and high quality for a game jam. Fun game, a solid addition to the resource management genre.
Well done! ^_^
Wow, so much content for a game jam. It feels polished, I really liked the artstyle and the idea itself. It is a frustrating game, in a good way, if you know what I mean.
I literally stress when I played. 10/10, would chop again. :D
Very well done! ^_^
Nice idea, a great take on the theme! :) Sometimes it was a bit too difficult for me but I think I just suck, probably.
Really loved the tune as well. Absolutely addictive experience! ^_^
Wow that artstyle is impressive. The music sets the tone perfectly for the game. :) Wonderful job for such a short amount of time.
I hope you continue this project, would love the play a complete game.
I think this is an amazing entry, especially considering that you used c++ to make it. It is insane that you could put together this in c++ in such a short amount of time. :)
Obviously, a cool pathfinding AI would be nice for a game like this, but that would took way more time to implement.
Well done! I really liked it.
Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed :)
Yeah the boxes can be a bit frustrating, I ran out of time so that's the best I could get unfortunately.
Thanks for the awesome feedback guys! :)
Yeah, I agree that the boxes turned out to be a bit frustrating
@pattedecanaard I wish we had more time to do more levels. We even wanted a boss battle with the butcher at the end but we ran out of time unfortunately. The Duck could have attacked with a whip-like tail, hence the pun Duck Tails. Nice catch with the reference ;)
Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah the box colliders can be pretty annoying.
@n-feofentov I gotta admit I like the little suicidal ducklings. They are supposed to be hard to look out for! :duck:
Thanks for the feedback guys, we really appreciate it! :)
@jmad I'm sorry the boxes, I know it can be frustrating.
The first sound effect blew out my eardrums and I almost sh*t my pants. :o
Regardless, I really dig the artstyle you went for. The gameplay itself is simple, yet fun. :)
Overall, I enjoyed it very much. A cute, enjoyable take on the theme. I would have loved to see more levels but time is a b*tch in jams.
Nice idea, a great take on the game. Makes me wanna install Windows 95 all over again. :)
Best way the spend the animation budget guys! :)
Really nice humor, very fun game. ^_^
Neat graphics, cool idea. I agree that the walkthrough is much needed because there is not much guidance for newbies like me. :)
Very fun puzzles and a great take on the theme. I enjoyed it! :))
Banger graphics.
Such a refreshing entry for a game jam. Absolutely well done, crew! :)
I really liked. The player experience would be improved by a lot if the tutorial text was overlayed instead of being put in the game world. That said, I liked the hitman's messages on the floor. :)
Cool concept, simple, yet fun game. Well done!
Absolutely brilliant concept!
Sometimes it feels a bit random when the wind damages the flame. Nevertheless, it's a nice game. Especially liked the music, it was so epic. Reminded me of WoW a bit. Great job! :)
Nice idea, great artstyle and I loved the intro. However, I feel like you dump so much info on the player in terms of the controls it's really hard to memorize. A tutorial sequence of some kind would have been really helpful.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed it very much! :)
I love the design, it's beautiful, well done. The music is relaxing, the sound effects are just on the righz places. There is one frustrating thing, there is a constant noise when the phoenix burns, that is too loud, and it gets annoying after a few minutes, but this is the only problem with the whole thing in my opinion. Great job guys
Nice game for a first jam. :)
I would suggest some sort of a tile as a background instead of a single color because it feels like the character is not really moving. Some background tiles would help a lot with orientation as well.
Keep up the good work!
Fun game, well done. :)
Great take on the theme. I especially liked how disgusting the sound effect of dying is (I mean this in a good way).
My one suggestion is what other guys have already mentioned. You could have improved the camera movement a bit because it feels very random and distracting at times.
Nevertheless, a great game, good job :)
Solid entry. Difficult to get the game at first but once you do, it's a really cool concept. Great take on the theme, well done :)
Wow, absolutely brilliant idea. It was a bit hard to get my head around the unusual controls but its pretty fun, and challenging. Great job! :)
I was wondering: is there any advantage of shooting soldiers instead of just avoiding them?
Absolutely stunning game! :)
Such a great amount of content and effort for a jam game. ^_^
I think this genre only works with witty and interesting dialogues, and you pulled that off very well. I also appreciated the humour. And the two tracks in the store were bangers!
Good job!
Nice artstyle and music. Maybe some hints would have been nice about what you are expected to do in the game. Great job anyways.
Nice game, you used the mechanic very well.
Just one suggestion: Flip the sprite when the player moves to the left :)
I loved the pixel art sooo much. So simple, yet so cool. Great concept, fun gameplay.
Sometimes simple just works. It would be a nice mobile game by the way :)
As some other people have already mentioned, it the projectiles could stand out a bit more, but other then that, awesome job! ^_^
Very nice job mate! :)
Simple, fun, creative, seems like you have achieved to goals you have set for yourself! Keep making games! ;)
I really liked the game overall. Had a ton of fun killing the bad boiz.
I little more clarity would have been nice when it comes to the interaction with the boxes. Maybe highlight the box when hovered, or tint the sprite a little or something like that.
Regardless, great idea and a nice execution! :)
The definition of simple, yet fun. :)
Really cool game. The animation style fits the mood perfectly. ^_^
The death animation is nice too. Poor unicorn... :(
Dudes, this is my favourite game from the jam so far. Brilliant, cute graphics, nice humor, interesting gameplay. Enjoyed the whole experience.
One small advice: you could have separated mining and attacking (e.g. left click and right click) because sometimes it was frustrating that I shot instead of mining the materials.
Anyways, a really cool entry, well done! :))
Ribbit, ribbit :frog: Beat the game on my 2nd try, yaaay :v:
My feedback: - Cool concept - Clean execution - Charming pixel art & aesthetics - Nice variety of enemies / obstacles - Great take on the theme - Satisfying ending - Nice visual clarity
Some constructive criticism - Make the intro skippable for smoother restarts - Maybe tweak the controls and the gamespeed a bit. It feels a bit slow (but the difficulty is on point imo)
Brilliant job, fun game! :frog:
Great work! This game has a great and unique digging mechanics, that really enriches your took on the theme. Also both the pixel art and sounds are cool. First, the controls were hard for me, but I realized that it had more depth to it (for example that the drill jumps towards the player's location). I also liked that the game was self-explanatory without any instructions. The design of the main menu plays a big part in this (that you have to start the game by digging). Congratulations! :sunglasses:
A simple yet satisfying fishing game. :fish: I really liked how you implemented the controls and the pixelart graphics. I think this game has potential on phones as well, you might want to experiment in that area too. :iphone:
Amazing work! You did great job with this low poly approach. The concept is interesting as well, quite unique to be fair. I'm not sure I understand the overall goal of your game, but I made a poem using the words I found. What I noticed during my play is that it misses a back button of some sorts where the user can just exit, go back, instead of saving the words or writing the poem. :pencil: It would be certainly interesting to see a polished and more detailed version of this project in the future.
Brilliant Puzzle game, absolutely loved it. :smiling_imp:
- Great level design, slowly introducing new strategies, enemies and mechanics - Well-balanced difficulty curve - Cool, nostalgic aesthetics and sound effects
My only constructive feedback is that the left/right control feels a bit clunky at times.
Anyways, thanks for making this, I had a ton of fun playing it. Also, huge achievement to do this from scratch in c++ in just 72 hours.
Awesome work! The dark meteorite atmosphere was really setting up the mood. :new_moon: :gun: The sound effects were great and the sonar effect is just outstanding, especially with the polished node popups. The rope mechanics is really a must have, it makes navigating the level a breeze. The only thing that was missing in my opinion were ammo pickups. I think, having to reload the weapon at stations breaks the flow of the game.
My only problem with the game: I wasn't under the shower while playing it :frowning2:
That's the deepest of all the games I tried... but what's the point of winning a category or making a great game? Existance is futile anyways.
10/10 I'm gonna hit the shower :shower: :v:
Amazing job, well done! :crossed_swords:
- Amazing pixel art - Clever, well-utilized game mechanic - Good difficulty curve - Great take on the theme - Super polished experience... :v:
It's actually pretty hard to say anything bad about this game, brilliant work!
The music fits soooo well! :v:
A cute, simple yet fun game.
My feedback: - Insanely great cover of the song - Pleasing, well-fitting art and aesthetics - Simple, yet fun gameplay
Although I agree that controlling the submarine can be a bit frustrating at times, it gives Neptune a heavy feel. I assume that this is what you were going for in the first place.
All in all, great job, fun game! :shark: :octopus:
Fun concept, well-executed.
Pros: - Cute graphics - Good audio - Nice gameplay mechanics - Doggos :dog: - Multiple game modes - Polished
Cons: - Only thing I can think of: no UI showing your money when adventuring (or did I just miss it?)
Brilliant job, congratulations. :v:
Wow, that game is really well put together. :pick: It has great pixel art with nice little details (like the running particles). Probably my favorite part was how you did the controls. It was really responsive and it made the gameplay smooth. The sound effects and the music were also great. The oxygen system was frustrating at first (having to return so often), but then it set the pacing of the game well.
All in all, the overall game felt polished. Thank you for this experience!
What a concept! What a great visual style! :v: :eyeglasses:
I loved it, it was a beautiful experience. The parallax background and the platforms.. So cool! Great take on the theme as well of course.
If you like some constructive feedback, I can only rant about a couple of minor technical difficulties: - Dialogue text is a bit small and hard to read, even a 1080p display - Character control feels clunky sometimes, but I got used to it after a while
A stunning entry! I loved the visual style. It alone created the mood, but with the sound effects and animations (including playing with the camera angles and distance) really linked together into a great experience. The game felt polished. It was really interesting to type the song to sing it. :microphone: :musical_note: My only note is that the guiding line that shows the speed was a bit hard to see.
It was awesome that I had the opportunity to try this. Very well done!
:wavy_dash: :wavy_dash: :wavy_dash:
A solid platformer entry, I absolutely enjoyed it. :v: Here's my feedback:
- Solid platforming mechanics - Great interpretation of the theme - Crisp, good-looking aesthetics and pixel art - Nice, therapeutic text in the transition levels - Well thought-out level design and difficulty curve
Overall, an amazing job! It was a pleasure to play it.
If you are into some constructive ideas, my tips to improve: - The controls are clean, except for doing diagonal dashes. I couldn't do those consistently, even though I tried to figure it out - Maybe some sound effects are too "sharp" if that makes any sense (the dash for example)
Anyways, glad to experience this game, thank you so much!
Nice Entry! :v:
My opinion on your game.
Good stuff: - The mood is perfect. Eerie, creepy, very atmospheric! :deciduous_tree: :fire: - Great idea to use the torch and the firepit mechanic - Interesting promise at the beginning, keeps me going - Chill music at the cabin :notes: - Nice take on the theme!
Could-be-better stuff: - No clear indication of progress. The player has no idea whether they are doing the right thing or not. - The Torch is not that easy to drain. Maybe lose more torch power when you are running?
Great game all-in-all, very creeped-out! :))
So fun and cooooool. Brilliant job! :v:
Gotta admit that it's pretty hard so we glitched through the last level to watch the final cutscene. Nice easter egg there
My only con: - The camera angle in combination with the controls makes it pretty hard to navigate and see the obstacles.
Anyways, wonderful game, nice work! :butterfly:
Awesome, nice take on the theme. The illustrations are quite nice, I absolutely love that artstyle.
Challenging, but fun gameplay, cool aesthetics, there's nothing else to say. I can't really say anything bad about it.
I also liked how the sleep bubbles and stack on top of each other as we go "deeper and deeper".
Wonderful job! :v: :crescent_moon:  :cloud:
Fun entry, great game overall! :v: :alien: :gun:
After playing through, some constructive feedback if you like:
Wonderful things: - BEAUTIFUL pixel art and animations with great colors - Simple, yet fun gameplay loop - Great strategy between choosing simply falling down vs. digging - Just about right difficulty
Things to improve on: - Add some variety in enemies / power-ups (I know it's hard in a game jam timeframe) - I really missed sounds and music :( - Maybe more, or random-generated levels?
Anyways it's great fun to play! :v:
I believe it's awesome that you took up the challenge and coded your own engine. Sadly, I cannot try your game, as I get the following error trying to launch it..
errorcode.png
Lovely pixel art, I love how well you executed this minimalist, yet great style. You took an interesting and funny approach to the theme, and it reflects on the gameplay as well that you need to hypnotize random citizens just to make them quiet. I liked the overall idea of the game and I loved the sound effect of the police cars. :police_car: :speaker: :speaker: Great entry, congratulations.
My only advice is that I think the hypnotizing could be a bit faster.
@hapiel thanks for the feedback, glad you joined the ride! :v:
@nick-howard happy to hear you liked it, and that you could make sense of the story by the end
@goblinkingmatt Wow, that was a very insightful piece of feedback and review, thank you so much. Yeah, I agree it is way too short and ambitious for the 72H limitation. Thanks for the movie reference, I will definitely check 'Reffer Madness' out!
@ty Yeah we were going back and forth for the interactivity at the end. We decided that it makes sense if Bruces _loses control_ both figurately and definitely . Glad you still liked it and thanks for the feedback!
@bitlight Thanks! :v:
@dynamix Glad to hear that, thank you so much!
@dobrila Yeah it is a bit dark... Thank you for still finishing it even though it is not your cup of tea. :tea:
@sthealthinator Happy to know you liked it! Thanks for the feedback :v:
@smiley405 Thank you so much!
@steve-dragon Thanks for the valuable feedback. To be honest, I have to agree with you there. We wanted to fit in maybe a bit too much with the scope. Maybe we will work on a post-jam version with a longer narrative so the story has enough time to unravel.
@rekit Glad to hear that, thank you so much! :v:
As always, awesome to get feedback, thank each and every one of you!
@ds-nahogara Adam definitely had it coming! :muscle: Thanks for the feedback!
@tarfield Yeah I agree, it's more like a visual novel. Glad that you still gave it a go. Maybe if we keep developing it we can give more freedom to the player? Thanks for the idea! :v:
@rubenwardy Thank you so much! Glad you liked it. :-)
@rhoff95 I'm happy to hear you liked it! :v: We didn't make the palette ourselves, you can grab this from LoSpec: [Palette Link](https://lospec.com/palette-list/nyx8)
We don't know too much about color theory so we picked one that we liked from the site. I definitely recommend you to check out [lospec](https://lospec.com/palette-list), there is a myriad of cool palettes there.
@mrleao Thank you so much, happy to know you enjoyed it!
@binaryspark Thanks! I guess... that's a good thing right? :sweat_smile:
@m11 Wow, thanks for the kind words! :v:
@makse Yeah, it's kind of depressing. Sorry if it got you into a bad mood. Hope you still found something to like about it.
@shin0nome So happy to hear that! Glad you enjoyed it and of course, thanks for the kind feedback!
@shubart Wow, I'm glad you followed his journey along. Thank you for playing and being part of his story!
@jonathan-jennings First of all, thanks for the detailed and elaborate feedback. Secondly, thank you for those kind words, it really means a lot.
@villanelle Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it :v:
@cameron-paxton agreed... It's totally grim. Glad you still experienced the whole thing and thank you.
@nyanpierre Yeah, the primary goal was to create something which is more like a story or an experience. Hope you liked the imagery of the story!
@frokes Thanks, feedback like this means a lot!
@leggy Wow, I'm a bit speechless. It's so good to hear you enjoyed it that much. What more could we ask for? Thank you becoming a part of this story
@sodaro Maybe it is the answer yeah... Cheers for sticking through the end. :v: Thanks for the tip about the audio, I'll look into it, but it should be fine.
Thank everyone for the awesome, detailed feedback.
@egercreator Thanks for your feedback. Absolutely agree about the font, it wasn't the best choice, thanks for pointing it out. Also, thanks for reporting the audio bug, we managed to fix it so we really do appreciate your feedback. :v:
@marcoming Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!
@etrealjunior Thanks for the kind words, we liked your game as well, nice job!
@lorwon Glad you liked it! :v: We also loved doing the mini games. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to add more but would have liked to do so! Thanks for playing it! :cloud_lightning:
@dzejpi Wow, thanks for the kind words, we feel speechless! Your feedback is very heart-warming and motivating and we are absolutely glad that you enjoyed our little game! We agree that the font wasn't the best choice, promise we'll do better next time. :v:
@pkenney Yeah we kind of screwed up with this font in hindsight. Happy that you still played the game though and that you found it interesting! The speech-advancing delays were definitely deliberate, we wanted to sort of make it match the emotional tone of the cutsene, nice catch! Thank you for the awesome feedback :v:
@fusionnist Great detail on the feedback, thank you so much for that! Yeah, I absolutely agree with you. Writing a story up is definitely a great challenge for a LD game. As a matter of fact, this was the first time we ever tried to create a "story-based" game. Glad you still enjoyed it and again, cheers for the feedback! I believe we can even do better for the next one! :v:
Great work! I really enjoyed the intriguing story, it kept me playing. :book: The sound effects were great and the music really added to the atmosphere. The graphics was well designed, perfect for this point and click adventure style.
I only missed a way to progress the dialog other than to click on the dialogue window. And once I accidentally exited the game pressing ESC. It might be a good idea to add a warning there. I hope you can fix the ending bug, I was really interested to see how the story turns out.
A cute little game with a lot of potential to improve! :v: I think most of the things to improve on has already been said / pointed out.
I just love the concept of this game. You did an amazing work on this deeper and deeper theme. I played numerous "waves" and I enjoyed every moment of it. :bow_and_arrow: My advice is to keep developing it. I think if you polish it a bit more this mechanics can attract lots of players.
Nice game, congratulations for the team! :v: I had a blast playing the game!
Pros: - Clean, nice mechanics - Great level design - Nice difficulty curve - Dark, interesting world - Great genre, fits the theme perfectly - Checkpoint :checkered_flag: (THANK YOU FOR THIS BTW)
Some cons / ideas to improve: - Visual indicators for checkpoints - More prominent platform / interactable elements for noobs like me - Maybe some "depth meter" or some sort of metric to track the progress
Anyways, great work, absolutely loved it. :mountain:
It's so impressive how much you got done in such a short amount of time! :potato:
- Beautiful atmosphere - Hilarious script (I was amazed how well the spooky horror style combines with the humorous dialogues) - Great visuals - Nice take on the time
So enjoyable, well done! :v: :potato:
If you like constructive feedback, some minor things: - Maybe include a button to toggle running, I felt the player was a bit too slow - Also some sort of a minimap, or more distinct areas would have been helpful as I often found myself a bit lost
Anyways, thanks for the experience!
It's always good to see interesting takes on the theme. I liked how you interpreted it and created a humorous context with good artwork and sound design. The intro was amazing, and you even included a skip button, so that's a big plus. I enjoyed navigating through the inside of the washing machine. My only advice would be to include more batteries at start, otherwise it can quickly turn into a trial and error style gameplay.
This robot sure is busy. :robot:  I liked how you created the base system, with the upgrades and the necessity to bring the mined crystals out of the cave (although the last upgrade seemed almost unreachable with its 500 coin price). You designed the environment well, I liked the colors and textures use used for the cave walls and floors. It was also a nice touch that you provided gamepad support. Great work!  :pick:
Wow, I was amazed by the mechanic, brilliant idea!
My feedback: - Great mechanics - Nice clarity (interactable objects are colorful - Good level design and puzzle design
Some suggestions: - To help aiming, maybe consider adding a crosshair of some sort!
Great game anyways, thanks for the experience! :)
Awesome art :cookie: :milk: An original and cute take on the theme. The music and the sounds were spot on, really aligned with the playful tone and mood of the game. I got 2 gameovers rather soon. I'm not sure whether I did something wrong or the game ended.
Anyway, it's a great entry, keep on making games with similar visuals, I just love it. :paintbrush:
A pleasant and relaxing experience. I loved the cute art, you did an amazing job with that. The sound effects were fitting as well. It was also good to have an upgraded shovel which let me dig through darker blocks. Great entry! Congratulations! :gem:
A side note: The objective of the game was not clear to me. It might be a good idea to set some goal for the player, for example a score to reach.
Dark, atmospheric, fits the tone and theme really well.
There is something satisfying about killing those white dudes! :gun: I really liked the music as well! :v:
Also, the honesty of running out of time when the game over screen comes up... I think we can all relate to that feeling :joy:
Well done!
Wonderful game! Really fun to explore and experiment with the drilling machine. The controls are crisp, the overall game feel is very nice. A brilliant job! :fuelpump:
Some game design remarks: - It would useful to have some sort of indicator for the side drills. The camera setting makes it tricky to hit to stones (?) sometimes. - As a player, I would have liked to have some goal that keeps me going. For example, a Depth Meter which shows how deep Doug dug.
Anyways, I really loved it. Great job, my favourite so far!
Brilliant game! :v: :palm_tree: :cat:
It's so nice to see what you've achieved in a compo jam, especially in pico-8. Well done!
My constructive criticism is the following.
Awesome things: - Charming sprites, animations and sound design. Absolutely cool stuff! - Unique mechanics - Interesting gameplay, I was able to figure out the game mechanics on my own, without the tutorial stuff! - Cuuuuuute but sneaky ocelots :smiling_imp:
Things to improve on: - I believe this was mentioned before but you can lock yourself with the tools which can be pretty frustrating :frowning2:
Overall an outstanding entry, thanks for the experience!
Great work! I really liked the style of the graphics, and the gameplay felt relaxing. I believe it's great that you had the time to create all this mechanics and graphics in this time frame, so congratulations.
The only thing that seemed weird to me was the UI in the corners (it had a 3D effect of some kind?). :pick:
I WANT A FULL GAME!!!! :duck:
I desperately want to catch that damn Piggy :pig_nose:
Brilliant game! The tone, the mood, the artstyle, the humor. Definitely my favourite one sor far! :v:
Please make a full game of this... I would love to investigate more!
Great atmosphere, nice take on the theme. I liked the visual style a lot.
Gotta admit, at first I thought the fuel was some sort of a rock or an obstacle, so I kept flying looking for the "real" fuel until I ran out
Cool, clean game, which is really relaxing to play, great job :v:
Very well thought-out game mechanics.
I think the amount of tutorial text is really overwhelming though. You can try introducing new gameplay mechanics progressively via better level design.
Nice work tho
I knew that I always had the potential to make movies! :movie_camera:
British Royal Guard: Tropical Idiocy is coming soon to the theaters.
- Unique idea and take on the theme - Hilarious - The aesthetics match the idea perfectly!
Brilliant job! :v:
Nice idea, great execution! :radioactive:
I enjoyed the challenge, awesome work!
My feedback: - Clean controls - Good artstyle, atmosphere - Flawless gameplay clarity (easy to separate monsters / crates / obstacles - Satisfying to kill enemies and complete levels - Great variety of items and enemy types
If you like constructive ideas, some things to improve on: - Some sort of a UI element or ingame Menu to tell me what the items are for (this info is only available outside the game) - maybe adjust the difficulty curve a bit, as the third level ramps up to be difficult pretty quickly
Other then that, I enjoyed the ride, great job! :v:
Brilliant idea, flawless execution! :v:
I love puzzles, so I enjoyed it all the way through. The UI is clean, immersive and beautiful, the texts are well-written, the music helps to set the tone perfectly.
There's really nothing much to say. I love giving constructive feedback and things to improve on but for this game, I can't really think of anything particularly bad.
All I can say is that this one of the most creative entries I've seen so far, so good job and thank you for the experience!
The artwork in this game is crazy. It shows that you put a lot of work into it. I liked the gameplay and the overall concept as well. It took me a while though to figure out that I can leave the drill to explore. The sounds and the music fits well in the mood and atmosphere of the game. Great work! :bug: :fuelpump:
It's a well-made game, congratulations. 😉 I liked how colorful and cute the sprites are. :fish: :fish: You not just made the diving mechanics, but also included a shop to upgrade various abilities and even added some extras, like the fish swimming in the background. Congratulations for this entry. :sunny: :water_polo: Btw, the sharks really scared me when I swam in front of one. :shark:
I love the base concept of the game. :gem: The graphics felt a bit nostalgic, reminded me of some games I played as a kid. The sound effect and music were well made. I believe it is quite impressive if you consider that you had 20 hours to make the first build. Awesome work! :peanuts: :peanuts: :pick: :gem:
Just one remark: The aspect ratio of the tutorial image felt a bit off.
An interesting narrative experience that works with a current and serious topic. The visuals of the game, the hand drawn characters and environment are great, I also liked how you animated the main character. I found the music really fitting to the mood, but the narrator's voice was disturbing for me as it had a deep tone and was not in English. I think you should add some sign or instruction to the cave layout, as I died 2 times before I realized that I had to run right. How you symbolized different emotional states was also interesting. It's a great entry, which I'd love to play again in a more lengthy, more detailed version.
Congratulations! :girl: :school:
Oh my god, it's soooo satisfying to swing that big hammer with the dwarf dude! Wonderful job! :hammer:
Pros: - Simple, yet fun - Beautiful pixel art - Great audio - Crisp controls, game feel - Dat hammer swing + grunt sound :v:
Cons: - No use for the shop (or did I miss something? everything sells for 0)
One little extra advice: next time, if you have the time, try adding a small camera shake when the hammer hits to ground (or the zombie )
Overall, I had a ton of fun, played it for like 10 minutes straight.
What a take on the theme! :pizza:
I found myself hooked into it instantly. :v:
My feedback: - Clean controls - Good tutorial (+1 for making it skippable) - Hilarious premise with the God of Pizzazz (it definitely SHOULD be the plural of pizza) - Relaxing experience - Fun and increasingly challenging gameplay loop
Some ideas to make it better if you want keep developing the game: - Grab some sound effects (can be done in minutes with [sfxr](https://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html) for example) - Make important UI elements stand out a bit more (e.g. the oven countdown and slot information)
Anyways, thanks for the experience I absolutely loved it!
The graphics are super nice. You got a lot of work done. :earth_asia: :fire: :potable_water:
Pros: - Controls - Buff system - Inventory system - Elemental system - Floating combat text - Calming gameplay - Nice particles
Cons: - Repetitive music - No player health bar (or did I just miss it?)
Overall enjoyable, chill experience. Nice one! :v:
Yaaay!
We found the easter egg with the goal when kicking the ball! :soccer: Such a wholesome experience. Good dialogue, charming low-poly style, I think it's an awesome game overall, really enjoyed it!
The ending caught me off guard, cute twist! :v:
Some constructive feedback: - Maybe think about omitting "Twist" from the title because it instantly made me expect some kind of twist. If you don't add it, the surprise will be bigger at the end! - I don't really like invisible boundaries / barriers that much. Maybe you could consider closing it down with a "Road under construction" sign or something like that, but I understand that you had very limited time to do that.
Great job overall, such a charming little gem!
Took me a while to figure out that I just have to wait for the messages. Awesome boy is awesome!
A running acorn! How cool is that? :sunglasses: I liked how you moved the camera to the locations where the switches did their things. It was very thoughtful. The visuals were cute, and the music made this chase a relaxing one. Great work
Just one idea: How about adding a humorous intro to the game to give this chase a fun context?
I liked the overall idea and take on the theme, very clever. It was a pleasant surprise to hear voice acting when I started the game. The character designs were well made, I liked the details in them. I think it's impressive that you created a system like that in such a short time: quests, patrolling cops and even a combat system. I believe with a little polish here and there, this can be a complete experience. Just one idea: put a quest indicator on the screen, as I tried, but could not find any objectives.
Great entry, it shows your hard work. Congratulations   :moneybag:
A well-made game with detailed scenes and gripping gameplay. Using the switching cameras to follow the player was a good idea and I like how you implemented it :camera: :arrow_right: :camera: (although in some smaller rooms it felt a bit hard to navigate). The music and the models were good too. Some players might find frustrating that there were no clear indication on where the next objectives are, but I found it fitting to the theme that I had to explore the office to progress. Just one note: the voice in the intro was too quiet to hear completely next to the music.
Well done
I wanted to see a challenging platformer for this theme and this is the first one I played.
I think it definitely ticks the box of being challenging. I liked it quite a lot. Solid difficulty and level design, Great atmosphere, good job! :v:
Some remarks: - I don't know if there's a way to make the game run fullscreen. If there is, you should probably highlight it somewhere - Some hitboxes can be quite tricky or deceiving (especially for the cannon rockets)
Anyways, I loved it, nice game! :sunny:
@zerokun Thanks for the detailed answer.
Don't be hard on yourself, it turned out really nice and fun! :v: I think anyone who publishes a game should be proud. You made a game that a lot of random people enjoyed playing. Not a lot of people can say that.
I'm glad to see you want to give Godot a try, I think you will love it after PyGame. Your life will be much easier when you get used to it.
Hey, congrats!
I think your take on theme is brilliant! The gameplay mechanic is interesting. Also love the artstyle and the music! :v:
My only advice would be the adjust the adjust the difficulty curve for the game. It would be much better for the players to have an easier start to get the hang of it.
Then you could ramp it up to become more challenging!
Nevertheless, I got hooked into it instantly and found myself playing 10-15 rounds. Brilliant game! :crossed_swords:
Wow, that was an experience!
Great job, really liked the tone! Doggo Dogter for life :dog:
Amazing work! As the waves progressed I noticed more and more details such as: - The towers produce heat, which is a nice idea in this context. - The player can use hotkeys to select menu functions and place towers. - The enemy come with varied speed and in different types in later waves.
It really shows how much work you put into it, and I really enjoyed protecting the ice life :penguin: :fish: :sunglasses:
The only thing I'd mention: I also think it would be nice to have a more clear indicator on where I can place my towers.
A fun, awesome pico-8 entry, wonderful job! :v: :fish:
Things I enjoyed about it: - Beautiful, charming pixel art - Cool, relaxing music - Simple, yet fun game mechanics, gameplay loop - Random generated, endless gameplay
Some things to improve on: - Maybe ditch the pearls as a scoring system. I would much prefer if you tracked the "deepness" in meters. It's simpler, easier to track and feels less random compared to the rarely and randomly spawned pearls. - The control can feel a bit "drifty" at times. For a precision "platforming" game like this, smooth control is everything. :joystick:
Anyways, thanks for the experience, brilliant game!
I really like how much work you put into this game and that you designed such a complicated system. I found hard to grasp the basics of my tasks (starting where I had to build the sub  ), but I figured it out. What I think could do wonders to this project is to include some sound effects and a more polished UI to inform the player about the tasks and objectives. But other than that, great work
There are some great ideas behind this game. I love the unique approach you took to the theme and how you managed to create such a mind blowing puzzle with minimalist graphics. :large_blue_circle: :white_circle:
I believe what is missing is a more thorough tutorial to better explain how one should solve these puzzles.
Wow, what a great idea for a game! :v:
Here's my feedback: - Simple, yet fun and clever gameplay loop and mechanics - Smooth, responsive controls - Charming pixel art - Nice take on the theme
I think this game could be made into a fun and addictive mobile game with some tweaks. :iphone:
Some constructive feedback: - It would be nice to always see where the red line is with some sort of a metric (meters deep) or an arrow in the sidelines - Maybe add some more upgrades / items to buy. For example, an extra rope that gets you out before game over or something like that. - A highscore system to keep people hooked :trophy:
Anyways, a fun and well-executed game!
Great work  I liked how you did the low poly graphics and that you implemented an options menu thinking about players with lower spec hardware. You also put time to record a narrating voice in such a short time. I think that's amazing. I also found some subtle details, which added to the experience (for ex. that you can turn lamps on or off. :bulb: The writing was well structured, the players learn more details as they explore.
If you plan on developing this further, you can consider separating the narrator voice from the displayed text (I think it is confusing). Also, it might be a good idea to add some indicator if the player don't do any interaction with objects after a few mins (I checked everything in the bedroom and I had no idea how to progress  ).
Anyway, it is a great game, congratulations :bed: :books:
A simple and well executed idea. I loved how easy it is to get into the game and collect minerals. :gem: :gem: The whole game felt responsive and the audio fit well with the theme. You did a great job with this game  The idea to greet players with a leaderboard was an amazing idea. It pushes players to try and play again and again. The graphics was also well-made.
I only missed an option to invert the left and right controls, as my mind always steered the drill in the wrong direction.
Dude, this is so good. Fun, Awesome-looking, funny, super polished, you got it all covered. Can't really say anything bad about it. :v:
5/5 stars. RED stars. :star: :hammer:
Freakin' capitalists :x: :money_with_wings:
Hey, an amazing interpretation of the theme, your game has a charming mood to it.
I got the "Good ending" on the 4th try. :v: I loved the art, the drawings are so beautiful, well done!
The gameplay itself is simple and fun, although the hitboxes are a bit tricky sometimes. Can you try to translate the poem to English? I'm so curious... At least some hints what is it about :point_right: :point_left: Pretty please?
Anyways, a beautiful experience, thanks you.
It was a really cool take on the theme (of course I opened that box instantly  ). I loved how you designed the town with good looking and minimalist visuals. You even built a shortcut into it. :house: While the game was short, I enjoyed my time exploring the town. My only note is that I really missed the sounds. :speaker:
Great entry! Thank you for letting me explore this town. :walking: :house_with_garden: :house:
Wonderful game, congratulations. Being in the submarine giving orders while listening to the music felt a bit like playing Sunless Sea. The pixelart was great too and fitting to the atmosphere of the game. I can imagine myself playing more of this text- and choice-based adventure. :video_game:
The only thing I would change is the mission text display: Somehow the characters seemed a bit blurry to me and it was weird that it was varied in size.
Wow, what a super polished game, thanks for the experience!
The Rorschach test definitely looked like a :butterfly:
Great job, some feedback from me: _Pros_: - Great atmosphere, visual style - Nice, polished UI - Wonderful music - Emotional, relatable story, feelings - Nice mini-games
_Cons_: - It doesn't feel like my choices really mattered - Some spelling / grammar issues (this didn't affect my experience)
Overall, I enjoyed the ride quite a bit, wonderful game! Let's hope Chloe will heal in time :v:
I can see the amount of work went into the graphics and level design. I also liked that you provide lots of graphics options for the players (that is something always nice to have). The mood was chilly and frightening (the sound effects in the cave were spot on). The lightning was also well calibrated. It showed just enough to progress but hid enough to feel a bit lost and hopeless. Congratulations.
Simple, yet fun. :v:
You could have used a different font color for the INFO part, it was pretty hard to read on the background.
Anyways, great job! :fish:
