great game!! i like the survival games!
This game requires some sort of admin username and password to download. So currently not playable.
I also got a screen saying "Entrar ContraseƱa". I can't seem to access the game at all.
Can't access the game without the password
Hmm, it seems that LD website updates were being applied after all. You can try now! :) We will also add a GameJolt link just in case.
I could play this game for a long time. There are a lot of cool features although I couldn't figure out how to craft despite Captain Obvious'guidance. Still tho I dig it and will probably be back to work it out later :) Also loved the general vibe of the game, reminds me of playing gameboy games when I was a kid, very cool vibe.
Nice intro !
@systematic still cant reach game website
@pumpkikin are you sure? I just checked it and it's working.
@sassykeys thanks!! as P.E.A.R says, you just have to click the CRAFT button. I've seen some people trying to click on the frame at the right instead of the actual button, maybe that's your case? :)
Game has a lot of personality and charm. I like the art style a lot. Gameplay would be interesting if expanded on. I feel like the objective and the items that are collected could be more clearly defined. I spent a lot of time looking for certain materials and couldn't find them. I'm not sure if there were there or if I just got unlucky. Overall good game though.
Really liked the art, kinda simple but it had a lot of character! You set up the scenario nicely with a quick intro and concise tutorial which was great. The mech was really well designed :) Not sure if i was just being dumb but I struggled to know what was what but found some stuff eventually :) Very cool entry good job!!!!!!
Nice game, cool crafting concept. Game works well, however its hard to find certain materials.
Enjoyed playing this a lot, I like the crafting system you went with, it's quite intuitive. On minor bug I found is that the black screen you use to cover the screen doesn't cover the top or bottom on my 1680x1050 monitor (theres the level background there instead of black)
Definitely one of the best games Ive played so far!
Nice game, played it till the end but I didn't "get" the super secret :)
I had a bit of trouble at the start because the background is so light, my cursor was basically invisible and it was hard to find it all the time. I found stuff pretty easily but I must have spent 10 minutes looking for the antenna! At the start, too, I felt like I got lost from the start area so perhaps that could be shown in the minimap somehow?
Oh yeah and a great intro in the game!
@hegemege yeah, there are only 2 antennas at the map to make it an endgame item :) great idea to show the start area in the minimap, we were thinking of adding fog of war to it to give a sense of exploration.
Oh, and to get the super-secret reward you have to read every message at the end screen!
@undead-aubergine I read them all but the uhh... secret didn't work anymore (not to spoil anyone) :)
@undead-aubergine seems the webpage opens up now. No idea why i couldnt parse it a couple days back
Ok, this game is very nice
That was a neat little game. I especially enjoyed the intro. It was a nice way to start the off. I also liked the artstyle. Also the narrative twist when you die is a nice touch, would have been cool to see even more versions of dying screens (but maybe that just shows how bad I was at playing). I have to admit that I didn't get very far with the crafting so I probably didn't even see all the game had to offer. I initially got quite confused with the crafting, I thought it would show you the recipe when you hovered over the thing that you needed. It might have been more intuitive to see it this way. Also, maybe clicking on the AI guradian should display the last instruction again, that way you could probably avoid a fair bit of confusion. We will look forward to your next game!
Very well polished game, I appreciate that there's a tutorial and that you can restart fast when you fail. The art and music set a interesting mood and i loved the little details scattered around the desert. However, the game is very hard on an azerty laptop because you have to use arrow keys and the trackpad at the same time.
@nonsans thanks for the comprehensive review! actually those are very good ideas, I just added them to our post-jam todo list. @darkmax14, @spawnie interesting, we only tried our game in a QWERTY keyboard with a 16:9 screen, will check those out too!
Well polished game. Well done for that in such a short time frame. Kudos!
Great art style, cool sounds, complex crafting schemes. But it's not like there is much going on - nobody is attacking, scarce enemies are defeated with one hit) Some challenge would be a great addition.
When I finally found the antenna while having all materials I needed. With 3 hp remaining. and I was told that 2 power modules are required. The feelings I got...
Let's just say.. it was the most speedy crafting that planet has ever seen. But I managed to pull that off!
Thank you for the game!
Well, I played this game much longer than I thought I would. The survival aspects are really well ironed out (meaning crafting basically). The resources are scattered nicely across the map. After some time I just couldn't find my camp again where I dropped my crafted stuff. Oh and the story is pretty neat and told in a astonishingly polished fashion. All in all really enjoyed it. Great work!
nice game, tracking down that antenna as the shields ticked down was the second most stressful thing i've done this week
Overall, this was a very nice game. The crafting can be a little opaque at times, making it hard to progress in the game. I looked forever for how to craft silicate, then figured that out. But I can't for the life of me figure out water...
This was pretty dope. I played this for a long time. Thanks for sharing.
That was really great!!! Nice humor and a lot of stuff to do. The problem is crafting things is not so clear, but anyways!!! Prettty good job
I love the music of your game! The humor in the game is just great! Got plenty of resources across the map! That into though! :open_mouth: Greato Jobu!
OMG, this is amazing! Although simple, but very stylish graphics, which together with music creates a unique atmosphere of an unknown planet. When I played, I was happy to remember games like Another World, Space Quest 5, where you can feel a similar atmosphere. I really liked the way you decided to display the theme in the survival genre. I would also like to thank you for the training - this is the best example of how to do it. I love it! However, there is also a note that concerns the speed module of the character: at high speed, the chance of encountering opponents is very high. I think that the acceleration of the character in your game is completely unnecessary. But this is my opinion, do not pay attention))
P.S. I Found a bug-I share it))

Awesome aesthetics and great humour :D Loved how the game tried to guilt trip me for leaving!
That being said, I couldn't make it far, I suspect because of a bug? Or maybe I'm just being stupid. The first time I was playing, I closed it at about the point where you should craft the crafting module after having gathered 2 scraps and 1 battery. After restarting, I wouldn't find any batteries or scrap anywhere. Restarted it again, same problem. Reinstalled, started - same problem. Would have loved to get further into the game 3:
Still absolutely awesome entry!
Love it! Good music and sounds, great intro, like the art style. Very polished. Overall great entry!~
Really cool game! I love the style and gameplay, it was super fun. I will say the movement upgrade felt kinda like a debuff rather than a buff though, cause of your tendency to end up running right into enemies from the speedup; would recommend adding something to help counter that problem. The other issue is finding the antennae as other people pointed out, maybe late-game add some sort of item to help point you in the direction of one?
Made it through to the ending. Didn't run into any bugs though.
"You can craft using the giant craft button." LOL. Why doesn't this have more ratings?? You have amazing art, sound, writing, and humor! The cutscene that transitions into the start menu is done very well. It pulled me in from the start. Little things, like their mouth moving when they talk really brought it to the next level. One of my favorites so far! :smile_cat:
This turns out to be a lot of fun, and the gameplay doesn't get dull fast. Really love the crafting system and gathering resources. Really good presentation throughout, especially at the start of the game. I was glad to be able to solve the last puzzles and beat the game. Absolutely amazing, great work!
good game
Answer time! First of all, thanks to everyone for your warm comments. Next time I'm sad I'm gonna open this feed and just read the whole thing .
@nswift that is true, in the end the gameplay is basically running away from enemies while you craft your way out. Most of our post-jam enhancements are focused on that; we want to make it more fast-paced (with many minor threats instead of a few big threats), and more puzzle-like.
@bamboocha thanks for the idea! A spawn indicator would be a great addition to the minimap.
@leokrechmer this is the point where most users get lost; we definitely need to figure out a better recipe system. We were thinking of a book of recipes as part of your interface, and pages of the book also scattered around the map.
@krakadushka damn, classic `depth = -y` flaws.
@trexxak everytime you start the game, there is a cluster of scrap, solar panels, and one engine at the spawn, and some other (5-10) clusters scattered around the map. We were thinking of putting them in a crater with the engine in the middle and the scrap and solar panels around, like a shipwreck that felt into the ground.
@bitpokit thanks a lot! This is the first jam where we got plenty of time to take care of those little things. We usually play 48h jams, and those extra 24h definitely paid off.
Once again, thanks you all! We're already working on a post jam version, every idea for the game is welcome!
Dudes, this is my favourite game from the jam so far. Brilliant, cute graphics, nice humor, interesting gameplay. Enjoyed the whole experience.
One small advice: you could have separated mining and attacking (e.g. left click and right click) because sometimes it was frustrating that I shot instead of mining the materials.
Anyways, a really cool entry, well done! :))
I like the humour of this game. The graphics are pretty cool, and the music fits the situation nicely. I like the escape to exit scene lol. Nice work, gonna play this again!
Fellow Pocket Operator user! Love the graphics and music :)
oof, turns out I was just an idiot and wasn't clicking and holding the ressources the times after the first time. I made it through the game now! Honestly great journey and great end :D Thank you for this great game! Looking forward to see you at the next jam :D
