Cool!
I got 200.
You have no download links...
Windows and HTML5
Kindly exported by @nnnikki
Thank you @nnnikki, you are very nice.
Yes, the ground is supposed to do that. I have had issues with horizontal collision due to the larger width of the front facing sprite.
Cool!
Graphics seem a bit off...
It should speed up after a while.
@kassjak Oh, well done then.
Odd, but cool art style!
The game seems to be a little to fast at the begining, and the sacrafice part seems to have little to no effect on the overall game.
Cool game!
Apsolutley amazing game!
Quite nice graphics.
I loved the music, fits the game. the player seems to move quite slow and looks a bit like a ballet dancer. I attempted the game twice and died the first time, so difficulty setting may be a good idea.
Amazing art style!
Cool idea.
I apologise, The speed does seem a little slow, and the monster creation would not work, as the programmer that made the inventory (https://ldjam.com/users/daniel-michaeloudis) could not get it to work, dispite everything else being in place for it.
I got 2000 points!
Love the art style, well done!
I spent a while trying to figure out why I couldn't shoot at the floating white enemy. I think the other enemies should have health/health bars, so they don't immediately die.
Great art style!
The music seems to have started about 10 seconds into the gameplay, and in that time, you cannot do anything... Cool game!
I love the art style!
Quite an intresting game, with nice graphics.
Funny graphics!
Nice game; The background could do with a few clouds or a gradient. Hope you continue working on it!
I like the name, I wonder what is was based off :)
Game would not open, and the Dropbox download had no preview. Try taking a few screenshots of your game to increce publicity.
Cool game; some of the ground parts do not tessellate together, with short drops. The world seems a little bit too dark, and you way want to make it a tad lighter. Like @tattomoosa said, you may want to add in checkpoints, or some save game system.
Lovely game; the graphics are awesome!
I think you should add some more fonts, to make things a little more eye-catching.
Cool graphics - the shadows looked odd with the art style you chose... Not many people can do a good job of the 2.5D graphics, but this managed to pull it of! The stealth aspect is a cool touch.
Amazing game! Screen shake is overdone a bit, but that is my only criticism :)
I enjoy the pixelated graphics, but for the groun, try and import a grass texture. This would make the ground more realistic in the fantacy enviroment.
Nice pixel graphics; try adding in some shadows (pretty easy to do) to add a bit more depth or shading to the game. I enjoyed the wide variety of enemies that are there. The red bull is a little to strong, and is hard to get used to.
Nice use of dialogue, and contrast - not many people get that right. Try turning the volume down a bit, but overall, cool game!
Nice mix between 2D and 3D graphics! The darkness makes the game quite spooky :)
Nice pixelated graphics; if they where animated to have a walking effect, aswell as the dust, it would add so much!
Alright game.
Very spooky! A changing background, or a gradient would add just a bit more colour to make it more eye-catching.
The rendering on the people make them look all like plastic, if they had diffrent textures, such as metal or glass, it would make the players more intresting.
I like the pixel graphics. Squares are a bit to small; try making the pixelated effect more pixel-y...
How do you like the game?
If you keep getting stuck, press T or G to get out the ground. The collisions are buggy, and we needed to move on, so there was a quick fix.
We are currently working on fixing most of the bugs said, and it will be released in a day or two.
Thanks, @ghostgoatsgames - We spent most of our time working on those. Gameplay was kind of rushed, but we both specialise in music, and I am good a pixel art, so we went with what we are good at.
Surprisingly well executed for a 3-day jam, well done! As said by @fatpenguin, try doing more publising for your game - you could reach a larger audience.
Link did not work; when opened, it just crashed and closed.
Several bugs, but they could be fixed. If you do happen to fix them, you can upload another version of it without the bugs, so that does not get as much feedback.
I liked the game, but in some parts, the text was hard to read. itch.io has a setting that starts the game immidiatly on opening the page.
Creepy graphics! A bit more colour would be nice, to make things more eye catching :)
Really cool game - seems like a lot of people have been working on this. To get more ratings, you would need to test an rate other peoples games, so your game appears higher on the list. If you all test about 3 games a day, this could very easily win!
The graphics are lovely! A great mix between greys and colours.
Fairly dark; try adding areas of white to add in some contast.
Amazing graphics! I enjoy the blood splatters around the game.
I love the graphics! Some of the health bars have to much contrast to the background; try making them have an alpha of about 0.7, so make it blend in a bit more.
Quite a cool game; try making some better graphics, that smooth together better.
First jams can be confusing; trying to find the right mix between design and programming can lead to over ambitious projects, or over-engineered minigames.
Graphics are good; try adding some shading, so they pop-out a bit more.
I enjoy this game; the graphics are nicely done, with fun music. Try increasing the speed of the player, and maybe some instructions / tutorial.
You should upload a few pictures to the Ludum Dare page, so people can see endgame parts, or ways to get past sections.
Nice game, I like your ideas!
I love the idea of everything being able to be collected, but the game is quite dark. Try adding lighter areas to it to give some contrast, or going from light to dark.
I think that the light aura around the player is too low, try increasing the range or brightness of it.
Wow! I love your art style! Those fonts add so much to the game :)
Great game! The art style is amazing, but a background that is not black would seem a bit nicer.
Ha ha! Great game! lovely concept
After the love nest is created, I could not get any other items to apear. I do like the birb toutch though
Wow, I love the cute little waddle the player does when they move
@danilo-freire, @chocolat-endive : The games counter is not stuck at 0%. It was a quickly thrown together idea to make the game have an ending. Every item you create increeces the counter by ten, whilst each zombie alive decreces it by five. This lead to some odd gameplay where the counter would stay at 0% (like said) until a point where it reached 100% in very little time.
Oh, great game! very fun
Ha ha! Great game
Wow! I love the graphics. Try adding in some transitions (eg: fades, swipes) to make the game flow a bit better. Overall, great!
Oh! this is great! Well done
Ha ha! this game is quite fun  The trees look a little odd, though
Wow! I love your art style
Ha ha love the Qbert style bobbles. Very funny game
What a great game! The graphics in the BG where amazing (however the horses where a bitt odd ) Lots of fun to play.
Great idea - I was a bit confused with how fast each beat should be, so it was difficult to pick it up.
This is great! I love the hilarious story. I think a little [?] box at the top that tells you to type on the keyboard may make you realise that you don't actualy have to type the story out. This fits with the theme suprisingly well, with an amazing 'demonic baby' twist. 5/5!
This was great! Lots of fun to play. The stary background is nice
Ha ha! The gameplay is satisfying. The sound effects make it comidic in a way
Great concept. The high speeds of the game made it a good laugh to play.
This was very fun! The game was a little too hard, but that's what made it a chalenge  The graphics where a little bit odd, but they where quite funny. It seemed like this could also fit very well with LD42 - Running out of space
Cool game
Wow! This is a very unique game style. I havn't seen any games where you actualy have st wing to damage something. The art was... sub-par - it could have had a lot more work done to it. The music was quite dull, and repetitive. Extending the song by about ten seconds, to make a longer loop, would make it a lot better. I wasn't sure is there was something to work towards, so it did get quite dull dater than expected. Maybe a chalenge/quest system?
This is AMAZING! The eerieness of the music, combined with the jitter of the spooky enemies makes for a legitimatley creepy setting. This was quite a lot of fun to play. I wasn't sure if there was a main task to complete, like 'Get to the exit', or something - as then there would be another reason to stay alive. Overall the game was great. The graphics and music where a joy, and so far it's one of the spookiest Ludum Dare games I've seen. Kudos!
Ah - always love a bit of norse mythos
Itch page still broken...
Woah! These lights are great. Lovely game to play - kudos!
Great game! The puzzels (as said by prety much *everyone*) are quite easy, but a lot of fun. Maybe add in a reset button, to restart a puzzel? Lots of fun, kudos!
Ha ha! This was very fun to play. Kudos! Great idea that fits suprisingly well.
Ha ha! This is a great adaptation of the Game Of Life! the 'multiplayer' feature is very cool. There is no music / sound effects, wich if included could make things a bit more interesting, but overall it's great fun!
Cool game! The light system is great. I love the little inspirational quotes above the fires checkpoints. The sounds effects are a wee-bit loud compared to the bg music, but it's alright. I had some trouble getting past one of the jumps by the second (or third?) checkpoint - maybe U'm just being a bit stupid - maybe a hint system would work (dispite taking ages to make).
@otisdev, @lazz, @derkuchen, @odeyalko - A new patch has just been uploaded, that should fix a bunch of stuff. Now we're working on quests! (only just got round to it)
@wilson-taylor I'm glad you like the game  We're currently attempting to add in 5 quests. These are so far normal things (like, collect 50 wheat, 30 eggs, and so on) bar the last one wich has a comedic twist
@lamasaurus - I've just made it so when you click the signs (now with updated sprites) you can teleport to the shops. This saves a bit of time.
@charliegray & @eboatwright - We've updated the player to be faster now. The graphics have been fixed to be more consistant, and there's a cool quest system now
@charliegray & @eboatwright - We've updated the player to be faster now. The graphics have been fixed to be more consistant, and there's a cool quest system now
@sledzik At the end the toucans where to be eaten bt a dragon, but I decided that 'Actualy, I don't want to draw a Toucan-eating dragon'. They just kind of... dissapear...
@basileios Whilst you are standing over a field, press P. You can select a crop using 1, 2, 3, or using the mouse wheel.
@axelrinaldo Thanks,I put a lot of work into it
@ironygames Ha ha! We thought about it, and decided to hastily add it in. There's not watering! (Thanks for the idea )
@niklasriewald We have changed the controles a bit so you use the mouse a lot more. Hope this helps!
@xyfeng & @zimny11 - Yeah, those bugs are anoying, and we havn't figured out what's causing them. We kinda just hoped they'd go away after a while. A bug fix may come in a while
@trigueiro That's a good idea! I may start working on a notification system for a post-jam version
@madbarron - That's a good idea for the quests. I'm currently working on a post-jam version (with some bug fixes and stuff) but the quest system is geting redone a bit. That may be a good thing to add in, thanks
Hey, if you want me to export you code in HTML5, I'd be happy to! (You're using GameMaker: Studio 2, right?)
Wow - this game is great! I see how the theme was nudged more to 'floating islands' The music was amazing, and some of those sound effects were humerous, like the 'it landed'. Cracks me up every time. It was very fun to play. I got killed by the bear :skull: Well done!
Lots of fun to play, with some prety pixel graphics. I think a bit of dithering or shading could make the graphics *pop* a bit more, but they where still nice. Well done!
@emperor-eagle I had the same bug. I'm not sure why it happened, but it a little anoying. Either way the game was very fun to play at parts, and shooting was ineresting. Well done!
This seems to be quite cool! I think it's kinda funny how it is said what you have to do very eatly on, kinda to go 'Remeber, this is for Ludum Dare'. I found the player / NPC / chicken sprites a bit odd. Also, there was no music, but there was a slider for music - could be a bug. I like the particles for the dash boots, it has a nice feel to it. I think it would be good to say 'Run into the enemies to atack them', or something, so you know what to do.
This is quite good! The map is a bit buggy if you zoom in or out to much, and moving it is a little jittery. I feel like a light drum beat, or some light background music would help keep the game interesting. I feel like a bit more user input would also help - such as clicking whilst on tour, or recording to improve interest? Overall it's prety good. Kudos on the uniqueness of the game!
This was cool! It was very unique - it told a real life story, a thing I havn't seen done in any Ludum Dares so far. The graphics seemed a little... 5-year-oldy at parts, but some of the lunar module sketches seemed very accurate. Some spacy music in the background could help quite a lot, I think.
First of all, the music was AMAZING! Wow - it sounds great! Lovely and balanced, showing quite a lot of time has gone into it. I got to about the age of 500 or so, and I found after that it was getting quite hard to expand to new places (poor planing, slightly). It took a while to get the jist of what to do, so I think a small 'How to play' button could help quite a bit. The view of the entire game could get a little daunting - the 'walls' of the game seemed a little out of place. It's a good premice, and it was honestly quite fun. Good luck with the remaining time!
Ha ha - this was fun to play. Rotating was a little tricy to pick up, but I got the hang of it. (I got to about 1:30). I have noticed a small bug where the fuel can go to 201, so maybe set it to 200 if it goes over the fuel max. Great game, with some cool sound effects. I would reccomend adding a simple bit of music in the background, to make the game more interesting - as well as a game name that is not the LD theme - there are quite a lot of those. Wee done either way. Kudos!
Great fun to play. Lots to focus on, making it a little difficult.
Ha ha! I love the ominous messages. The font makes it more creepy, along with the background music  The game itself is very easy, just looking around and shooting, but the text above it makes it very interesting. Well done!
These are the cutest little graphics  Got quite difficult after a while, but it was still lots of fun
Lovely graphics. The music made it amazing - well done! (Very fun to play)
Great game - graphics are lovely to see. The UI was a little glitch, but that's expected for a LD
the explosions are so satisfying :boom:
Ooh, very prety graphics. It's clear you know what you're doing
Great mechanics / gameplay. Prety graphics, with a good fit for the theme
Fun little chalenge  Lots of fun to play - simple to pick up.
Good graphics! I felt the camera movement seems too dizzying. Maybe if it moved *with* the charater, it would be a little bit easier to keep track. I think a small melody in the background would make quite a cheerful play. The noises the moles make where quite bizarre.
Prety good game! The graphics are a little inconsistent in a few places, but nothing too bad. The music is a bit to loud too... The game play was unique - I havn't seen any two-player games so far  I felt that the controls where fine, despite what was said before. A single player version would be good, though (don't know how it would work though)
Good balance of mechanics. Fun to play
These graphics (as mentioned by pretty much everyone) are truly beutiful. You realy know what you're doing! The enemies are funny, as they're SNAILS! Attacking could use a bit of tweaking, but overall it's still amazing. Kudos!
Hey, the 'Play' button does not load the game. Also, I would reccomend turning down the drums in the music (it's a wee bit loud!) Amazing art style, the graphics look lovely
Ha ha - it's kinda funny how you re-enforced the game jam theme at the end of the desc - great game. Always very fond of cartography stuff
Great game! TD's are always fun to play. As said above ^ I agree that running should be a tad faster.
Great game - it could help if you make a bit of promo art to use as an icon for your game.
The controls where very hard to control, even more so at faster speeds. After 50,000 humans saved, it seems that all the asteroids where realy far away. If they all got closer as time went on, it could be more chalenging. Overall, a good unique game - Congrats!
As said before, the difficuly is a bit to hard, but overall the game is unique, and very fun to play!
Wow - this has some realy good 'chill' vibes. The music is prtty good, I think a light drum in the background would add a lot. The graphics are prety good, too. Some of those levels took a minute to figure out how to do, but it was worth it for the joke at the end. Poor dog. Good luck for your remaining time! Smoking kills.
Just tried to play on a mac, and the MacOS version that has been linked will not run. I think you've got an export error!
This was very fun! It's quite short, but that probably due to the lack of time  I had to open it twice (I think there was a small bug that prevented it from loading - could be on my behalf though...)
Cool idea - the graphics could use a bit more work. It all clashes a bit too much.
This is great! I think a little 'how to play' part in either the game or description would help. I got to 38 zombies, when they got a bit too close, and I died. I did not expect this, because my health bar showed more like 60% health. Maybe a scaling error? Out of interest, how did you make the zombie noises? They're quite funny  P.S: Maybe shorten the name down to just 'Kill the undead' or 'Keep her alive', as 'Kill the undead - keep her alive (for as long as you can)' is a bit too long
Truley cool game - the graphics (however nice they where) could do with a bit of shading. It would make them *pop* a bit more
So far seems good! I found that whilst the game is playing, there is now way to leave without quiting the app. Maybe try to add a pause screen? The music in the background gets a little anoying after a while, but if you make the loop more like 30 seconds long, it should be more brearable without too much more work. I found that some of the blood effects went on to far, and would just eventualy go off-screen. Maybe add in a self-destruct thing in after a few seconds. Overall, a good game. I haven't seen a tower defence game for Ludum Dare in quite a while! Screenshot 2020-04-19 at 11.27.55.png
Wow - this was fun to play  Well done!
I feel like at the start there should only be one enemy that spawns first. That way you can keep track of things better - you don't want to overwhelm a player with keeping some magic thing, not falling into a fire, attacking enemies, and a health system all at one. I love the way the graphics look - it fits together nicley. The music is prety good, but it can get a little anoying. if you extend the loop by 10 seconds or so, with a bit more melody, it could be realy quite good. The theme fits in very well!
Lots of fun to play. Easy to pick up the controls, with some nice graphics
These graphics are truly beutiful! The stary background with the prety castles is amazing. The ground graphics are great. 5/5
Lots of fun to play
Fun to play. There are little bugs here and there, but for a Ludum Dare game it was very well polished. Well done!
Well polished game. Well done for that in such a short time frame. Kudos!
Some of the odd bits of space debris didn't get destroyed if they where too close. I've found over the past load of jams that having a consistant art style through the game is important. The UI and teacher guy didn't fit with the main shooter part of it. Music was good - little note, it would be a good idea if the the music didn't restart when going into the main game. Just a continuous song through the whole thing. (I wansn't too happy with the name 'Shooty loops'. Try to have a name without the theme in it)
Nice - I haven't seen any chess-based games on LD before
Haha - cool! I've been doing some things like that recently using an Arduino UNO / Nano. Have you tried using a joystick? It would give a lot more input.
@daniel-michaeloudis Thank you. Not entirley what I was going for with the design, but it is good that you enjoyed it.
@voidsay Nice seeing you around :v: I was planing on fixing the startup menu to be more clicker based, but something broke along the way, and I went to fix that, and then more things broke, so eventualy I decided that a menu was less important than getting the entire game to be functional. Might make a post-jam version in the next few weeks with the bits that I wanted to add in, but never got round to.
You spelt the title wrong. The game file didn't load. Very sad.
Pretty good puzzle game. Took a while to get through some, but it was quite rewarding.
Seems to be quite a sensitive game. I feel like some ominous noises / ambient music in the background could realy spice this up. The walking around was quite odd - was the sliding intentional? Along with a lot of these types of games, I am often suprised by the lack of legs. (I thought the lighting was fine) The walking sound effects went quite wierd, and the jump sound effect went off at random times. I jumped out infront of the train and the game kinda broke? I thing the player was trying to stop, but the train just, *kept* pushing it. Honstetly no idea how to fix that kind of thing. Nice seeing you around :v:
Good graphics - a rather important thing to do when having pixel art graphics, is to have a constant pixel size. The more detailed graphics have a pixel size smaller than those less detailed, which can be a bit displesant in places.
lots of fun
