Wow I didn't thought I'd meet you on here! Its a pretty nice Game, I love the pixel art style. But at first I was to stupid to use the menu ._. But great game!
I love the art style you went with, it really makes the mood of the game with the music. My first play was a bit easy but it's nice that you added a slider to make the game more difficult. Overall a very nice game!
I envy this Semi 3D effect. I work with Game Maker Studio 2 and it would be pretty hard to replicate that. Besides the beautiful graphics in this game, the ambiance is great! the music is subtle and really fits the semi-detective work you got to do. Great job!! :)
Love the art style! Nice game, loved finding the target, just wish you could drag them into custody! Long live the corporation.
Great audio and art!
Beautiful!! I love the cyber punk vibes. I really enjoyed it thanks.
Wonderful pixel art. Great effects, especially when you click a target to view details. Ambiance is excellent. Very funny as well.
Dialog appears toooooo slow. Since the game tells me "new information", I know instantly whether it's useful or not, which means I get impatient waiting for the non-useful dialogs to complete. I'd like to be able to hold a button and have the text appear more quickly. Or just 2x the speed by default.
Great art. I didn't get how to play though. The only thing I was able to do was click on humans.
I won the game from the first try, and I didn't realize how I did it. Later trying on and on. I was not able to get any useful information :(
Cool game. A like the art style very much.
Nice concept for a short game, good art and sound - well done! I had one problem, after my target rand off and I went back to the main menu. I started a new game but the conversation carried on where I'd left off and I could move any more.
Loved the graphics and general ambiance of it, great job :)
Loved the 3D effect in the background and the overall graphics, very clean and polished pixelart.
The gameplay seems a little bit confusing at first. Maybe outline the new informations or add some effects on the subjects that are more prone to be your pray will help. Thanks for you work!
Thank you for the positive feedback everyone! @paul59 sorry about that, I never experienced it but I didn't have a lot of play testing time. @heyitsleo you talk to the people by pressing enter when you're near them. If this were a full title I'd work on the controls a bit more. @furtive-pygmy The Corporation is forever.
@b3agz I'm so glad you told me. It would have been a shame for me to miss such a wonderful experience! I really like the dialogue. Short and sweet. It's really inspirational. I'm getting the urge to try making something similar.
This is a great game! The graphics and sound really fit the mood. The semi-3D effect is neat. I got the target on second try. Would be cool if the player was moving a bit faster though.
@chuckeles I'm glad you liked the graphics/sound. You're probably right about the character speed. It's one of those things that didn't feel like an issue until after I'd submitted and the deadline had past
Super polished look, graphics and audio are great. Mood is lovely and writing is brilliant.
After a while I did find I was repeating the same action over and over to try and stumble on who I was looking for, rather than gathering information to slowly home in on my target. But as I did a game with a similar theme I can totally empathise with how tricky that it to nail!! (I didn't manage it wither haha)
Thanks! Great entry :)
How do you even make such a polished game in 48 hours.. This is amazing man, I'm very impressed! 5/5 on everything, super well done!
@danidev three words: Four. Hours. Sleep.
I was SO tired last night. I feel asleep waiting for it to build! I'm glad you like it, thanks.
I really like the art for this! I had a hard time finding anyone who would give me a clue at first which made it a little confusing, but once I did it made sense. Well done.
Great polish. Great mood. Awesome art style.
I somehow got the target on the first try without even knowing what I'm doing! :D Cool art and music!
One of the best I've played so far. Great job!
Nice game. Specially liked the mood. I enjoyed it.
Graphically it's pretty cool, after the how to play text green on green not easy to read but the game is cool
A great little game, with some good music and with a cool visual style. Well done.
Great style and a nice challenge. I was so happy to catch the first puny debtor.
I was having troubles trying to close the scan by Esc quite often, which gave me some trouble, but the atmosphere is so immersive :thumbsup_tone3:
Immersing atmosphere, nice sounds, music and pixel art. Very good job!
Not my kind of game as gameplay, but that's a matter of personal preference :)
Anyhow it's clear that it was done with passion!
Visuals and audio are really good! I was terrible at this game though  Really good job!
Geez, dude, 4-hour sleep... Well, its totally worth it (as long as you don't die because of overwork). I can't add much to the pile, great work, hope to see more game from you in the future. Good luck.
I love the art work! This game looks really great :) Also a really interesting game concept, good job! I think only thing is that the menu page seemed a little broken or something. I could click the buttons (if they are even buttons). I eventually figured out the spacebar was the select but I couldn't change the selection. So yeah, menu could use some work I think but overall good job!
Loved the sounds and music  Also gameplay is thaught trought
I really enjoy the whole vibe of the game; sprites, sound, everything! Though I do think the controls are a bit awkward.
I played your game on stream today, you can find the video here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/418104572?t=03h35m59s
Really well made and polished game, super interesting gameplay, loved it ^-^
Interesting concept and good realisation. Pretty work!
a great little game and concept, very fun to play! little bit annoying that it wouldnt always talk to the person i was looking to talk to. Over all great work!
@syrapt0r Thanks! Was great to see someone play it. I'm sorry you got a poor run of information, the game needs some kind of balancing; I've seen people say they either found the target first time without knowing what they were doing or didn't get any information the whole game. I just ran out of time :(
Really appreciate the playthrough.
Amazing game for only 48 hours and going at it solo! The art style/theming is great. I also found it really satisfying hunting down information to find a target as a gameplay mechanic and having it stored in a nifty HUD menu so I don't have to take paper notes. The game appears to be really well thought out and I'd be interested in playing it further if you ever decide to flesh it out further! As others have mentioned, I did have difficulty getting some relevant information a few times and I also wish the text was sped up to 2x or immediately presented via a setting tweak.
Thanks for rating our game!
Totally loved it! Simple art style is great, won at the second time. I'm 100% gonna play again on harder level later!
I must say i love the graphics! Gameplay is really intresting, felt that dark and spooky mood. Great job!
Really impressive and very solid. I just didn't like the controls -- that I had to use the mouse and get my hand of to press enter :)
Response to this has been amazing. Thank you everyone who's commented since the last time I thanked everyone! @pcmaster yeah the controls need work. I just ran out of time to tweak things. @rainetheglutton no problem, your game was fun. And as it happens I've already started re-writing the game with a view to a better, more polished result; my rushed code for this one is a hot mess :-/
@b3agz I know exactly how it is with the time :) Your game still has better controls than mine, still a very good job! :)
Good game, really immersive... i try it without conviction, and two minute latter i was completely absorbed by his mood. Great job, i don't see this kind of game before in this ludum dare.
Great pixel art and animation! Interesting concept and I had fun playing. Great work
liked the game but controls are weird was able to accuse people successfully. liked this sound it is actually getting matched with the game.
Woah, this game's impressive! Great graphics and aesthetic, and interesting game play. Awesome job all around, thanks for sacrificing your sleep!
That was interesting. I couldn't figure out how to play for a while and it's probably laughable- but I didn't know that I had to use arrow keys and enter to talk to people and just start the game. Was clicking on the main menu for minutes. I liked your colors and lighting, it set up this very mysterious mood!
Really beautiful game! I love the graphics and the audio. It's very polished. A little buggy at the end but i was still able to win!
The game glitched out once which made me have to restart. I managed to finally find my target after a few tries though haha
Cute game, I'm a sucker for pixel art in 3D.
The intro has a lot of text, i spent several minutes just reading it, there are no controls listed in the paragraph so i was lost. Great job with the 3D Though, and great concept!
The game is really good, it needs some balancing, when you have a harder game with a lot of people it get's almost impossible to do it.
I loved the "Spyfall" feeling that I had in this game, by trying to find who is the deception, I just think maybe they could answer your questions as they thought you were looking for the right answer, trying to give you a real (Or not, if he is the deception) but with not a lot of details.
Spyfall works this way, you have a place and a role, and you are asking the other players what they do, how is the place and so on... and the people answer trying not to give the place away, because if the Spy finds out where are you at, he win's the game.
So, I little idea for your project: - Make the person create the questions by creting a list of possible matching words, like in the first word "Where", "How", "Do" and so on, and all theese words have a tag that represents what they do in the phrase, and when you ask the person they get those tags and answer based on it... It's hard, but that would give a lot more life to your game.
@slotha Sorry pal. I put the controls in the second page of the how to play screen but I should have made it clearer. A tutorial options would have been ideal but I didn't have time >.<
@shunaky This game is getting further development as it turns out and an idea similar to that is on the table. Thanks for the feedback!
Very cool game, though I find it a bit hard. Agree with some other people with having an option to speed up dialogue.
Great pixel art! You managed the theme as good as possible - clever. Interesting concept and I had fun playing. The mood is a little bit freaky but I love your project ++
Love the pixelart with the 3d cenario and the sound effects really create an intriguing vibe
Can't add much else that hasn't been said; the game feels polished and the ambiance and art are great!
I love the way you mixed pixel art and 3D environment like some upcomming pixel art games this year, there's a lack of ambience, some street noise like cars, sirens, people talking and their footsteps...
This was so sick! I managed to win with the highest density of people, seems like hair color is a near dead-giveaway once you have a few other pieces of information. I really enjoyed the concept, slightly faster scrolling dialog would be highly appreciated!
I love how you mixed some 8-bit, retro graphics with a 3D twit! I would personaly add some lighter areas to add in some contrast, or even start lighter and get darker as the game goes on.
Beautiful graphics and environments :) Maybe including a tutorial will help players settle in to the gameplay...?
Love the art style! Nice game :)
I loved the concept. The atmosphere is perfect, the art and the music fit well together! A little tutorial would've been nice.
I had a little glitch though. I got this black screen and after a while I couldnt move or do anything.
Anyways it was a cool little game. Nice entry.
Lovely stategic game! The gameplay was really fun and the difficulty was high, but not too high in my opinion. I had to laugh about the suicidal jokes of the members from the corporation :skull_crossbones:
I also foun a bug where I couldn't do anything at all after starting a new game. Perhaps because I spammed the LMB like an idiot... who knows
I love it. Also it seems on the web version my mouse only disapears when going into fullscreen mode?
This was a really cool game! I love the art style - really cements the aesthetic you're going for, and the feel of the game is on point. The core mechanic is a really cool idea, and I think you execute it well by having to balance asking questions with not tipping off the target, but right now it feels like the simplicity of what you can ask (only the same three questions, the only information you can glean is explicitly given) holds it back a bit. Others have come up with some cool suggestions - I think another would be that sometimes people you talk to reveal helpful information that isn't immediately obvious, or that you somehow make the player do some investigative work in that way. Overall though, definitely up there with some of the top games I've played this jam. Really good work!
Don't have much patience for it so it just feels like luck. But nice art style and setting
Really interesting concept and well executed. I would have wished for a warning off some kind before the suspect runs off or the chance to give him/her a false sense of security but the concept as well as the narratives are awesome.
I had a lot of trouble getting the game going. From the menu not responding, to the level not letting me close a dialogue that happened automatically. I was playing the web version, and trying out full screen. Running in the original size had less problems, but still needed a few refreshes. The few games I did get in, no one was helpful at all and I didn't get any information to help me out.
The game has some good potential for a logical puzzle game. I like the art, I like the idea, I'd love to play a few levels that were actually possible instead of no one telling me anything and the target escaping.
Amazing game! It might be i'm a little bit bias, since I love dystopian cyberpunk theme. But the game definitelly beats the record in art, music and general mood among all the titles I've reviewed so far. Yesterday, I've actually run it in my browser for quite a white as a cyberpunk mood-setting screen-saver - only a calm music theme and little pixelated people going back and forth. It looks and sounds great! Excellent work!
Very nice game, I like the 3D effect with the 2d art. The only thing I wanted to mention here is that it can get quit repetitive if you set the crowd number to max and most people say the same thing. This can also just be me asking the wrong people. Otherwise very nice and interesting game.
This one was such a good game! Loved the sounds, graphics, game itself, everything! I like this kind of games so I really appreciate your entry! Awesome job :)
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!

I enjoyed that. I admit the game is a bit confusing, at least in the beginning, so it took me a while to figure out how to play, but that’s okay it’s a great game and I liked the idea. I missed some movement in the character, I mean all others were animated. The graphics are really good! I also really liked the audio. It’s a really solid work. Great job!
