Earth lasted 38 years :[ don't put me in charge of mother nature! I like the message behind your game, and the graphics are impressively clean. I wish the basic shock attack had hold-mouse down to autofire. The audio starts to work tough on the ears after so long of playing, maybe you could variate random db in volume or have multiple sounds for the catastrophes.
OK this is the first Ludum Dare game of 44 I am playing and I have been sitting here for 45 minutes trying to win. I can't quite do it so I'm moving forward. Your game has an incredible, and I daresay insane amount of potential!
Pretty clean graphics! Although the texture on the grass kind of hurts my eyes while the camera is panning. I think the character should run faster than they currently are. Overall, neat work. I didn't face the boss, instead I ran for a few minutes off of the map..
It's sweet team! Definitive nostalgia. I found that if I back up into a wall, the wall blocks my vision. And not sure if the MC should decelerate during jumping. I loved using the machine gun. There was a room where I insta-died, but I'm too scared to back and check.
I'm not much a reader, so at the beginning I was sighing thinking this is how it's gunna go, but I sunk into it after a little bit and I do have to appreciate the amount of dialogue you've written. I agree with grapes-games, even a small click-sound for dialogue passing would good. Their moving jaws were creepy, but also entertaining to look at! You've also spared my heart of any jumpscares, thank you. Awesome work.
Sweet work, in my head the whole time I was thinking that this is a lot of voice-acting and several different structures, so I am impressed! I was hoping the strength of clicking the rock would improve but I clicked it anyways. Well done!
A much used, but truthful message. But there was so fast movement at the end there that I missed it-- what did he crash into? Either way, a fair effort mate!
Archer is OP. Awesome work! It started lagging when things got a little too OP though.
Your graphics are super duper nice, and at the beginning I just spent the entire team. The audio is a little humorous. I think jump height or double jump would be a very good upgrade! I had a tough time reading the text at the beginning cutscene, it appeared pretty smushed vertically. All in all I respect the chests/extra events. Great work!
That was interesting. I couldn't figure out how to play for a while and it's probably laughable- but I didn't know that I had to use arrow keys and enter to talk to people and just start the game. Was clicking on the main menu for minutes. I liked your colors and lighting, it set up this very mysterious mood!
HIGH FIVE!
I like the mechanic of trading coins. I tried to temporarily store coins by shooting at a wall, but the coins got stuck and I couldn't get them back. I think it would be fitting to give the player less time but have the coins in their pocket swappable/rotatable.
10/10 I was in the middle of buying something and died in the middle of it! The graphics are colorful and amusing, awesome job Kritz & team!
