Cool entry:) The main menu could use some refinements, and I'm not sure how this relates to the theme, but it's very fluid and pleasing to play:)

Art style is awesome, game is fun, although I really suck at it^^ Guess it's like real bowling on that side :D
Cute game! The controls are a bit awkward (z is kind of far from the rest, but I guess this depends on the keyboard).
Nice game, fun and addictive. Nice graphics. The music can get tiresome after a while.
Nice game! Liked how the euros are not money you can use anymore^^
Well polished game, great mood and art. The intro is waaaaay to long, and the dialogues pause for waaay too much time. Other than that is really nice! I like the music as well.
Nice feel, I like the pokemon-like graphics. The collisions are a bit awkward, go stuck in the trees a lot of times.
Love the game! Mouth-made sounds are just awesome :) The graphics are on point (as always), and the game is just overall very fun :D
Nice graphics :)
Simple game, but works well with the theme. Game reactions are a bit slow from time to time. Overall, good job!
Fun concept, nice music:)
very nice idea, graphics and sounds! love the sounds the Moneyons do when you interact with them:)
there are a couple of bugs with the writings, my game freezes when I try to read them.
Also it took me a while to understand you had to click to throw, and not just press e again.
Other than that, very well done! good job guys :)
Nice idea, I like the art and the music, also selling body parts is a fun idea, fits well in the theme :) The step sound really gets on my nerves after a while though.
A shame that it's in russian, but I very much liked the game's atmosphere :)
@everybody Thanks a lot for your feedback and positive messages!
@drauthius what do you mean by corpse run? when the skeleton runs? @m0dsat yeah we also wanted something creepier but didn't manage to include all elements in the end. @serious07 yeah, the individual level-blocks where designed, and you get a certain number of them depending on how many people you sacrifice:) @bigwhiteshogun haha good job! @thevinter the sacrifice determine how many rooms/levels you get to get buffed before the boss. @binaryspark yeah sorry about that, guess I was tired when I did it. I fixed it now, should be better.
@serious07 here is a visualization of the randomly generated maps: https://twitter.com/SharpedStoneStd/status/1122436832648732673
Guess it could use a bit more refinement though.
@serious07 @thevinter @bartosz @davekingcool I wrote a small article describing how the temple is randomly generated. If you're interested it can be read here: https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/bkwlzu/xochipillis_trade_random_temple_generation/
@everybody thanks a lot for your awesome feedbacks and comments, will take everything in account for a next iteration of the game.
@solifuge Thanks a lot for your awesomely detailed comment, it's amazing :)
1) "I’d carefully time attacks to cut down arrows or enemies, or a jump to avoid them, but the buttons wouldn’t register." I realized during the jam that I had a bug with the attack command, but for the life of me I couldn't figure what caused it. I finally got to it, and found that it happens when the attack animation is interrupted by the jump animation, preventing the attack bool from resetting to allow you to hit again. I fixed it and it should work now:)
2) "Platform and enemies" yes I agree, this definitely needs a lot of work, the precision platforming isn't that fun. Enemies are not refined, the AI definitely needs some work. Might come back to that later :)
3) "jump down into the boss pit itself" agreed, there is an issue there, when you don't know where you are going. I could probably do this in time-line, or actually have an animation of the hero falling down the boss pit. Will see.
4) "the boss would already be in the middle of the fight" that was a stupid implementation from my part, having the boss do his thing all along, whether you are there or not (well I guess it was also easier ^^). I changed it, the boss starts to roam around once you get to the pit.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! I will probably continue to work on the game once I have a bit more time on my hands, hope you will get to play it again:)
@firesplash-entertainment thanks for trying it out :)
for shooting: you have a limited number of bullets, maybe that's why you can't shoot? You actually can slash while jumping, not sure why it would not work for you (see gif) 2019-05-16_09-13-43.gif
Thanks for the compliments about the art:)
@ivan-garcia-filho thanks for the ideas, will keep that in mind :)
Good job mate, really well done! The only thing that bothered me a bit is the fact that you have to use the mouse for the dialogue, where everything else is done with the keyboard. But that really a detail. Well done!
Nice job! I like the idea, the music is pleasing as well:) If I may make a small suggest: it's really easy to change the background color to something not default in the camera object, and you can easily loop the music by setting it to loop on the audio source. Keep it up:)
Nice idea! But why would you want the "die" trigger to be a left click? I would strongly argue towards replacing it with any key-board letter. Nice graphics :)
Nice graphics and mood.
Nice idea! I like that the frog is also a wallet^^
Nice entry. Love the art! The animations on the menu and context dialogue are really impressive, and the story you came up is nicely done. Good job!
very impressive graphics. I had a hard time getting out of the room when you die, had to come here to understand what to do, because I was not pressing the dialog button enough times in front of the knight. I would suggest not resetting the dialogues each time you confront somebody.
Good job, quite impressive :)
